▪️ The strikes were preceded by a wave of court hearings concerning one of the most important assets — CITGO, which is formally a subsidiary of Venezuela’s state oil company PDVSA.
▪️ CITGO is an oil-refining company headquartered in Houston, Texas. 100% of its shares belonged to PDVSA. It owned three refineries, as well as dozens of other facilities and retail outlets.
▪️ For Venezuela, this structure ensured the refining of heavy oil extracted in Venezuela. Through the CITGO network, Venezuela had access to a supply channel and the largest U.S. market, could attract investment into the country, and mitigate the effects of sanctions.
▪️ After Venezuela and PDVSA defaulted, creditors began demanding repayment of debts, using CITGO shares as collateral. In 2018–2019, creditor lawsuits began, and in 2023, a court decision launched hearings on the sale of CITGO to repay debts.

The process remained stuck, as the acquisition of the assets faced potential legal consequences and overlapped with a personal conflict between JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon and Donald Trump.
Therefore, with the arrival of a new U.S. president, the struggle for the asset intensified. Dalinar Energy, which was supposed to buy CITGO and whose deal was overseen by JP Morgan, began losing ground, while the court supported an alternative bid from Amber Energy — a company linked to one of Trump’s allies.

Given their ties, it would be entirely in Trump’s style to secure control over strategic assets and strike at competitors.
🚩 As a result, the White House moved to action: after losing CITGO, Venezuela is left with resources without distribution channels and oil without refining capacity, while the U.S. applies pressure on the “shadow fleet.” In the long run, this will lead Venezuela toward economic degradation and a weakening of its political position.

I expect that after this weekend’s action nothing will change. The U.S. does not want to govern Venezuela. It doesn’t want to put boots on the ground. The blockade, an act of war, will continue for a while but at some point the ships will have to go back to their harbors. As there is nothing to win from this the Trump administration will move towards its next target.
Meanwhile Israel is getting ready for another strike on Iran. The U.S. is repositioning troops to the Middle East while Iran prepares to hit back with all its might.

The Minnesota child care fraud saga is so strange because years ago it was fully investigated, documented, and reported on by a team of state investigators set up to catch and stop child care fraud.
They spent years gathering evidence including many hours of surveillance footage. In 2018 they compiled a detailed report and delivered it to their boss, the DHS Inspector General.
Directly from the report: “Investigators, as well as the Supervisor and Manager of this unit believe that the overall fraud rate in this program is at least 50% of the $217M paid to child care centers in CY2017.”
What did the Inspector General do with this information? She refused to meet with her own team, refused to discuss the findings of the report, and then spent $90,000 of taxpayer money to have an outside company write a report saying the fraud isn’t quite as bad as her own team of investigators was claiming.
Here’s an email summarizing the fraud that the lead investigator sent the IG in 2018. Those currently in the MSM claiming that child care fraud isn’t a serious problem should read this.

I am a Montessori educator who taught children aged two and a half to seven for over forty years. During that time, but at separate times, I co-owned and co-operated two Montessori schools in the northwest section of the Minneapolis Twin City area. The schools were required to be licensed under Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 142B, even though they were Montessori schools, not daycare centers. The purpose of licensing was and is to protect the health and safety of children by ensuring that providers meet minimum standards for care and their physical environment.
Licensing entailed pop visits; equipment requirements; staff requirements; and endless, time-consuming, and many times unreasonable recordkeeping. Visits included observation in the classroom, reading personal child records, reading personal staff records, inspections, and so on.
Sometimes, if they didn’t find anything wrong, they would invent something. One time, a license agent criticized us for not having a way for children to get a drink of water. My assistant pointed to the water fountain. The licensor said, “Well, the two-year-olds can’t reach it.” My assistant pointed to the stool. Not to be outdone, the licensor insisted that two-year-olds don’t know how to drink out of a water fountain. My assistant pointed to the paper cups on the shelf. The response: “Well, I didn’t see them.” And because she didn’t know that the cups were there, we received a citation. After that inspection, the licensor went out to lunch with one of our parents and admitted that she had to find things wrong with places she licensed in order to justify her job.
In view of all this, I find it very hard to believe that Walz and his minions have fought the corruption since he became governor in 2019. Look at the results and form your own conclusion.

My husband and I had some Somali families in our school, and, except for those who had assimilated, none of them worked out. They demanded that we remove from our classrooms any books, pictures, songs, figurines, etc. that had anything to do with dogs or pigs. They demanded that we delete dancing. We didn’t. I had a conference with a Somali father and his two wives. He also made demands, and I didn’t comply. The family left the school.
The Somali families didn’t follow our rules. I had a mother who arrived to school late every day and allowed her children to walk into the room during morning group time, which was disruptive. We notified parents that those who arrived late would need to wait five to ten minutes outside the classroom until group time was finished before entering the room. She argued with us. Another mother lied on the time sheet about her daughter’s attendance in after-school care. There wasn’t one family who paid tuition.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Unlike previous audits that uncovered fraudsters, this one proves that citizens can’t trust the government workers who administer the welfare programs, which is an entirely different and even bigger problem. The Stockholm Conference may have also served as a cover for certain triangular reconfigurations of the global power map. In 1969, as Strong was invited to put he conference together, Canada and China also began to negotiate in secret at Stockholm the resumption of their diplomatic relations. This move also fit with the Rockefeller view of global affairs….
Today, ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking ICE officers and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them—an act of domestic terrorism.
An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots.
He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers.
The alleged perpetrator was hit and is deceased. The ICE officers who were hurt are expected to make full recoveries.
This is the direct consequence of constant attacks and demonization of our officers by sanctuary politicians who fuel and encourage rampant assaults on our law enforcement who are facing 1,300% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats.

Driving toward him was a crime. Having parked her vehicle where it was in the first place might have been a crime. It looks like it was blocking the road and/or attempting to block the work of the officers. Using lethal force to threaten someone, let alone an officer, is not going to end well.

The Minnesota child care fraud saga is so strange because years ago it was fully investigated, documented, and reported on by a team of state investigators set up to catch and stop child care fraud.
They spent years gathering evidence including many hours of surveillance footage. In 2018 they compiled a detailed report and delivered it to their boss, the DHS Inspector General.
Directly from the report: “Investigators, as well as the Supervisor and Manager of this unit believe that the overall fraud rate in this program is at least 50% of the $217M paid to child care centers in CY2017.”
What did the Inspector General do with this information? She refused to meet with her own team, refused to discuss the findings of the report, and then spent $90,000 of taxpayer money to have an outside company write a report saying the fraud isn’t quite as bad as her own team of investigators was claiming.
Here’s an email summarizing the fraud that the lead investigator sent the IG in 2018. Those currently in the MSM claiming that child care fraud isn’t a serious problem should read this.
The real question is how highly paid state investigators spent years investigating child care fraud in MN, reported on said fraud, and eight years later not only was the fraud not stopped, it was bigger than ever.

Minnesota governor Tim Walz has claimed that it isn’t true that he and his administration have not done enough to address accusations of fraud in Minnesota. “We’ve spent years cracking down on fraud — referring cases to law enforcement, shutting down and auditing high-risk programs,” Walz wrote on social media.
Gee, that’s funny. Those of us living in Minnesota, who were paying attention, knew about the fraud since 2016 and didn’t hear anything about crackdowns.
I am a Montessori educator who taught children aged two and a half to seven for over forty years. During that time, but at separate times, I co-owned and co-operated two Montessori schools in the northwest section of the Minneapolis Twin City area. The schools were required to be licensed under Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 142B, even though they were Montessori schools, not daycare centers. The purpose of licensing was and is to protect the health and safety of children by ensuring that providers meet minimum standards for care and their physical environment.
Licensing entailed pop visits; equipment requirements; staff requirements; and endless, time-consuming, and many times unreasonable recordkeeping. Visits included observation in the classroom, reading personal child records, reading personal staff records, inspections, and so on.
Sometimes, if they didn’t find anything wrong, they would invent something. One time, a license agent criticized us for not having a way for children to get a drink of water. My assistant pointed to the water fountain. The licensor said, “Well, the two-year-olds can’t reach it.” My assistant pointed to the stool. Not to be outdone, the licensor insisted that two-year-olds don’t know how to drink out of a water fountain. My assistant pointed to the paper cups on the shelf. The response: “Well, I didn’t see them.” And because she didn’t know that the cups were there, we received a citation. After that inspection, the licensor went out to lunch with one of our parents and admitted that she had to find things wrong with places she licensed in order to justify her job.
In view of all this, I find it very hard to believe that Walz and his minions have fought the corruption since he became governor in 2019. Look at the results and form your own conclusion.
Walz criticized Trump for making derogatory remarks about the Somali community. My husband and I had some Somali families in our school, and, except for those who had assimilated, none of them worked out. They demanded that we remove from our classrooms any books, pictures, songs, figurines, etc. that had anything to do with dogs or pigs. They demanded that we delete dancing. We didn’t. I had a conference with a Somali father and his two wives. He also made demands, and I didn’t comply. The family left the school.
The Somali families didn’t follow our rules. I had a mother who arrived to school late every day and allowed her children to walk into the room during morning group time, which was disruptive. We notified parents that those who arrived late would need to wait five to ten minutes outside the classroom until group time was finished before entering the room. She argued with us. Another mother lied on the time sheet about her daughter’s attendance in after-school care. There wasn’t one family who paid tuition.

Leftist Minneapolis Livestreamer Andrew Mercado Threatens Nick Shirley and Other Right-Wing Journalists, Says Their Security ‘Will Have to Earn Their Paycheck’
Mercado is on the ground covering the escalating tension in the city over the shooting of a woman who attempted to run down an ICE officer earlier in the day.
The leftist activist has nearly 90,000 YouTube followers.
During his stream from Wednesday’s protest, Mercado is seen walking among a group of activists while ranting about his plans to target “right-wing propagandists.”

She figures she spends at least $8,000 a year on baseball for her 12-year-old son, Cruz Thorpe.
She knows he loves the game. She’s less certain she can afford it.
“You’re just trying to do everything you can to make these dreams come true for your child,” Rector said. “But it’s just so money-driven.”
She even tried a GoFundMe campaign to raise some of the $4,000 she’ll need to reach Cooperstown Dreams Park, where preteen baseball teams from across the country flock each summer for weekly tournaments. A single mom working for an online education platform, she felt a little guilty asking for help. But she’s not alone: GoFundMe said “competition travel” was the top sports fundraising cause in 2025.
Youth sports has transformed over the past two decades, shifting from low-cost grassroots programs run mostly by local groups toward a high-priced industry filled with club teams, specialized training and travel tournaments staged at gleaming youth sports complexes — changes fueled, in part, by private equity and venture capital investment.
It’s a supercharged “pay to play” model that promises better opportunities and college recruitment, with little evidence to support it. But parents find it hard to resist, despite the sticker shock.
Many parents are struggling to keep up, according to a survey conducted by the Aspen Institute’s Sports and Society Program in partnership with Utah State University and Louisiana Tech University. Family spending on youth sports jumped 46 percent from 2019 to 2024, the survey found, reaching an estimated $40 billion a year. That’s more than the annual revenues of the NFL and NBA combined.
The impact on a family’s pocketbook varies, with costs rising for older kids and those participating in activities such as ice hockey or gymnastics. The Aspen Institute found families spent an average of $1,016 a year for one child’s primary sport, while other surveys have reported that the average youth club activity costs $3,000 to $5,000 a year.
A New York Life survey in 2025 found 20 percent of parents said money worries had led them to reduce or drop their child’s participation in youth sports, and nearly 60 percent of parents in a 2022 Lending Tree survey described youth sports as a financial strain. A 2019 Harris poll for TD Ameritrade showed that even wealthier parents — those with more than $25,000 to invest — who had kids in a club sport were stressed, with 1 in 3 taking fewer vacations and 1 in 5 finding a second job to afford it.
“Nobody is all that happy with the current system,” said Tom Farrey, executive director of the Aspen Institute sports program. “It’s broken at best.”
The costs of youth sports go far beyond paying for teams. Parents now have to pay fees for their kids just to try out for teams — $50 is not unusual — or even to watch them play.
