In an odd turn, I find myself thinking that leaving the Strait of Hormuz closed might be the best thing we could do for the world. It is just 20% of the Oil & Gas only (NOT the coal or nuclear power) taken off line. Given that the “goal” of the Climate Crazies is 100% net zero by 2030 (last time I looked), we have simply moved 1 year closer to that goal, and will need to do the same every year… ’27, ’28, ’29, ’30 & ‘success’… so WHY bother to reopen it? It will just set the world back a full year on their “progress” to their “goal”…
Embrace the pain. Live with the economic collapse, the $10 / gallon gasoline & Diesel fuel. The hunger from food system collapse and the lack of damn near everything as shipping and international trade shudders to a halt. That IS what will come anyway, as long as the goals do not change.
So think of this as a small 20% “taster” of stopping oil & gas. Realize that more power comes from Coal, and that isn’t done yet (so really this is about a 10% “hit” of the total).

I’m in the USA, so this mostly has no effect on me. Gas is up about $1 to $1.50 compared to Trump’s best and still lower than Biden’s disaster. Stores are still fully stocked. I expect no significant worsening for things here. BUT even with the USA oil & LNG “lifeline” to Europe, they are toast. Just not possible to refill the natural gas storage in time for winter without M.E. LNG. (or Russian gas… that will now go to China instead). Were I living in Europe, I’d be moving out.
Oh, and California is going to implode badly too, as they are shutting oil refineries and depending on tankers to deliver oil from Russia & the Middle East after refining in Asia… who have announced they are halting exports.
How bad will it be in Asia? Remembering that we get most manufactured goods, materials & products from them now. China got hacked, China NOT backing a UN Security Counsel move to open the Strait. Continuing decline of Real Estate and exports…

From what I get of news, there are some massive protests there, which started with the prices of fuel, which has truckers and farmers out and protesting, demanding that the taxes and fees on fuel be reduced. The authorities won’t have any of that so now things are escalating, with the police making themselves ready for action.
Whether this will escalate into some kind of civil war or become an excuse for establishing the Panopticon is not so clear at the moment.
A similar trucker protest in Norway on Friday, kind of fizzled out, when the convoy that was approacing the capital was stopped by the police some 30 km outside of Oslo, and only a few were permitted to continue into the city. The attempt at disrupting traffic was stymied. Not that it would have mattered, as it is uncertain if anyone would have noticed the difference from an ordinary Friday afternoon rush hour.

This reminds me of the effect of putting a child into an environment that they can’t live up to, and what happens to them then. What I saw was they did not assimilate. Instead they spent part of the year in the USA and part of the year in Mexico. Even the ones born and educated in the USA still spent a lot of time in Mexico.
Most of the people I have known who were Mexican maintained a home there. They were all legal immigrants. But really, Mexicans love Mexico. They come here to make money. Our faithful handyman, Roberto, came legally from Guatemala (he has family in both places). He used to come up to work for the summer, then load up a pallet with things from here — everything from chainsaws to air tools to electronics. Then he’d ship ’em to himself down there and distribute them to his local village.

Jesus Christ came to save us by pardoning us, that we might not die by the sentence of the law. Here is gospel, good news indeed. Here is God’s love in giving his Son for the world. God so loved the world; so really, so richly. Behold and wonder, that the great God should love such a worthless world! Here, also, is the great gospel duty, to believe in Jesus Christ. God having given him to be our Prophet, Priest, and King, we must give up ourselves to be ruled, and taught, and saved by him. And here is the great gospel benefit, that whoever believes in Christ, shall not perish, but shall have everlasting life. God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, and so saving it. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

The court has issued a stay on the citizens’ initiative process, preventing Elections Alberta from counting the vote on the Alberta independence petition.
This was anticipated. As many of us know, many judges in Alberta are appointed by Ottawa and do not serve the interests of Albertans.

I did a Brave Search on Dehydration (may be AI enhanced) & annotated it in relation to my Dad’s U of M time to share with family. What if Adequate Fluid is a Key to getting him better? Underlines are what I added &/or highlighted as specifically pertinent to my dad.
Dehydration occurs when fluid loss exceeds intake, disrupting vital functions like thermoregulation–I kept having to get hot blankets out of the heater for dad including draping hot ones over his head especially in the 1st ER room, you guys saw him in the 2nd ER room, & I let him keep his pants on because he was so chilled so whenever he chose to “try to pee in my pants” he was still wearing the pants instead of only a hospital gown; when he got to the 2nd ER room he wasn’t asking for hot blankets (he’d had SEVEN hot blankets on at one point) so much & MAYBE that was because he’d started getting fluids addressed via IV, circulation, and cognitive performance. Even mild dehydration (as little as 1–2% fluid loss) can cause headaches, fatigue, dizziness, and impaired concentration, while moderate to severe cases lead to rapid heart rate, low blood pressure, muscle cramps, and dark urine–you would know as I didn’t really see his pee & didn’t note the color in the urinal the couple times I saw it, though it wasn’t light that I recall.
Long-term or chronic dehydration can result in serious complications, including kidney stones, urinary tract infections, and chronic fatigue. It may also contribute to high cholesterol, joint wear-and-tear, early skin aging, and an increased risk of falls and cognitive decline, particularly in older adults. They had Dad on a Stool Softener & prescribed Prilosec for acid (he Used to have acid reflux but the Speech Therapist who did the swallow test suggested he might have asymptomatic acid issues causing his swallowing concerns) once he completes antibiotics.
Maybe I’m crazy but the degree these issues aligned with Dad’s hospital experience made me think that Maybe God directed me to this info so we can really emphasize fluids, no matter how unwilling he might be due to his urinary issues. I think he was drinking about Half of what his daily intake Should be…
Dehydration definitely has an effect on cognitive issues in older adults. My 95 year old mom is always getting dehydrated because she’s afraid she’ll constantly have to use the bathroom. Since she’s in a wheelchair, that’s hard for her. When she’s dehydrated, she gets really out of it. The nurses at her assisted living facility have twice sent her to the hospital thinking she had a UTI. If one of the family is there, we immediately get her a glass of orange juice or water and insist she drink it. That pretty quickly gets her back to what has become normal for her.

For those unaware, the traditional media framework of billionaire and corporate opinion/information shaping, modified itself for a new digital era. However, the motives that underpinned the original control mechanisms remain the same, only the venues are different.
RED SEAT VENTURES HERE
As an example, most reasonably intelligent people caught on to the manipulative political content pushed by Rupert Murdoch, his family of control agents and the Fox Corporation media empire. However, most people are unaware that Fox Corporation controls the information space of well-known current and former Fox News employees and contract agents that shifted to the podcast venues.
Fox Media purchased Red Seat Ventures {Citation} and expanded the narrative control operations through “podcasting.” As a consequence, Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Piers Morgan, Bill O’Reilly and many more still work for Fox Corporation, just in different venues.
When Tucker Carlson is interviewing Megyn Kelly during a podcast, or when Piers Morgan is interviewing Bill O’Reilly during a podcast, it is no different than Megyn Kelly interviewing Piers Morgan on Fox News television. The platform changed, but the relationships -and more importantly the information content itself- is the same. The same control mechanisms apply; it is just a different distribution channel.
Instead of watching Fox News, you are essentially watching Fox News ‘podcasting’ division, via Red Seat Ventures.
♦ Red Seat Ventures (a Fox Corporation subsidiary) controls the advertising, distribution and financial payments to the same cast of characters that appeared on Fox News broadcast. The same leverage and pressure points apply, albeit with a plausible deniability in order to push a false claim of independence in order to manufacture the optics of credibility.

This is why none of the former pundits, now part of Red Seat, will say anything critical of Fox Corp. They are still beholden to the control masters. Many people are unaware of this reality in the background.

Again, these are not ‘independent’ per se’, they are part of a corporate commercial system with terms and conditions that apply to the employees, the podcasters.
♦ Then you have Westwood One, (aka Cumulus) another corporate media conglomerate which includes popular names like Benny Johnson, Mark Levin and Dan Bongino. Again, these are not independent voices per se’ – they are contract agents with financial relationships to the mothership, the corporation. Again, terms and conditions apply.
What you will notice in all of these enmeshments is a system of podcast tribalism, now captured within the corporate dynamic. When a podcaster is interviewing a podcaster for podcast content, you are essentially watching a circle of narcissists discussing each other. The watcher or listener is not receiving ‘information’, they are participating in the distribution of specific financially aligned narratives – albeit with an ‘independent’ flare.
If your participation in the podcast sphere is akin to watching WWE wrestling, then you have the appropriate filter for the performances within each broadcast.
However, if you participate from the perspective of information gathering; raw, researchable or cited information to expand objective knowledge; you might end up in a crazy matrix where you are led to believe that aliens are living down the street, black helicopters are following your every move, Melania is about to divorce Donald, the FBI is an honorable institution, or even that Reverend Franklin Graham is busy building a billionaire doomsday bunker in Alaska.
As the years were unfolding you likely recognized the Wall Street corporate media system was going to respond to the changed and collapsed credibility environment. Well, podcasting is the 2026 iteration.
Artificial Intelligence is going to replace all of these ‘voices’ eventually, as government systems learn and adapt to the private sector information space.
