ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – Opening arguments have wrapped and the first witnesses have been called at the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana in Alexandria for the trial of Nate Cain, the former warden of the Avoyelles Correctional Center.

Cain is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and 17 counts of wire fraud. He is being represented by John McLindon out of Baton Rouge. Assistant U.S Attorneys Luke Walker and David Ayo are prosecuting the case for the government.
Both Cain and his now ex-wife, Tonia, were charged in the case. Tonia pleaded guilty in July to conspiracy to commit wire fraud. As a result, the wire fraud charges were dropped. She will be sentenced on October 9. She faces 20 years in prison or a $250,000 fine or both.
Walker presented opening arguments for the government.
“This is a case about the abuse of power,” Walker told the jury. “Nathan Cain abused the power he was given…by taking funds to be used at the prison and using them for himself.”
Walker told the jury that Cain became warden in 2012 and that, when he did, “things began to change for the worse.”

There are only more than two genders in some languages. The third gender is neuter.
And that’s what they’re trying to do to normal people…
I wonder about that…grammatical gender isn’t all that firmly tied to sex anyway.
I recall from German class that Mädchen (girl) is a neuter noun…which I suppose could make sense to someone with the attitude that she ain’t female until she’s got boobs. But then, I’m told that the French word for “penis” is actually feminine gender (and you can’t get much more male than that).
And of course assigning totally inanimate objects to “masculine” or “feminine” makes it silly to think there’s really a sex significance to the two grammatical “genders” other than that actually male living things usually end up in one and actually female living things usually end up in the other.
There are languages with many more than three (grammatical) genders, with the same utterly nonsensical assignments of particular nouns to the genders, which suggests that a better word for the whole darn phenomenon might just be “class,” as in “German has three classes of nouns.”
In English, of course, gender is largely gone from the language, surviving only in third person singular pronouns (he, she, it). We could probably use a gender neutral pronoun that doesn’t imply that the object has NO gender, just unspecified gender, standing for a person as opposed to a thing like “it” does, but we don’t have it (except some people use some form of “they” for that, and it’s becoming accepted).
My point was that three genders only exist in language, not the alignment between sex and gender in language, of which there is (almost) none.
It’s not just Mädchen, it’s also Kind (Das Kind, the child). There are many other examples where the “gender” makes no sense.
And referring to one’s sex as “gender” doesn’t make sense, either. Except, perhaps, to avoid filters…
Just saw that the ESTA form (needed for Europeans on the VISA-waiver probram entering the USA) just got changed. Apparently if someone changes their gender (yeah, right) they have to reapply… that probably makes for a lot of fun at the TSA checkpoints…
At least with das Kind, the child could be either sex. If it were “der Kind” or “die Kind” it’d be wrong about 50% of the time, whereas “das” at least doesn’t make a wrong commitment. But even so, “neuter” does not mean “unspecified.”
Indo-European gender systems can force you to generalize all people as “male” which is just as wrong as making the wrong claim in a specific case. English, for instance, used to specify that one used “he” when one meant “some person who could be either sex.”
English has largely dropped the rot of assigning all nouns a gender, but still has its issues.

A terminally ill Wisconsin girl who loves dogs experienced a dream come true on Saturday after nearly 40 police departments and dozens of K9 officers lined up outside her home to pay her a visit.
Emma Mertens, a seven-year-old diagnosed with a rare inoperable brain tumor in January, got to see dozens of real-life canines after police officers and K9 officers visited her home on Saturday morning.
“Today, just a few of us (roughly 40) stopped by to see Emma,” the Hartford Police Department wrote in a Facebook post. “She had no idea we were coming so she was VERY excited. What an amazing and strong little girl. It was such a great morning.”
Doctors diagnosed Emma with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, a rare inoperable brain tumor, on January 7, WITI reported.
Despite the grim prognosis from doctors, Emma decided to stay positive. Shortly after receiving the diagnosis, Emma asked if she could receive photos of dogs to lift her spirits while undergoing treatment.

Mark Catlin said Kelly’s death was due to a “perfect storm” of overtraining, taking too much on, depression and not fully comprehending the effects of her concussion.

Email is the least secure method of communication. The Gab chat is probably the best working plan we have at the moment. If you want to use email, you can get a free account from ProtonMail. Subject lines are still visible in transit, but it has nice apps for phones and they have an add on VPN that works for all platforms. Also, their VPN is surprisingly easy to use.

Read about Barlow – he had some serious health issues and had done serious drugs as a young man. He was one of the early dead head organizers of the Grateful Dead. That lifestyle leaves serious mental and physical marks on health in later life. He could have died from those causes or his death could have been assisted.

The Senate Judiciary Committee SC request was sent to Sessions and Rosenstein. Sessions had his assistant respond in November to Bob Goodlatte and refers to himself and to the AAD (Rosenstein). This is the letter that leaked. It’s stamped (not within the letter body) Nov.13, 2017, That means that whomever leaked had access to a hardcopy of the letter? An electronic copy of the letter would not have the stamped date.
Who had access to the original letter? Sessions, Boyd, Goodlatte, and I assume Rosenstein because the SJC letter was addressed to him as well as Sessions, and possibly staff of each of these people.
Now let’s look at the nature of the leak. The letter copy was given to Austin Evers.
Knowing Austin Ever’s background (State Dept. FOIL requests for Benghazi, Clinton emails, and later the Sessions recusal), I would say that this is a Black Hat leak. From the list of those with access to the hardcopy letter, who is the black hat? Sessions, Boyd, Goodlatte, or Rosenstein?
There is one more date to add to the timeline: February 2018. Sundance posted today that he had the information about Huber in February 2017. Where did SD get his info? From a black hat, or a white hat. Is it even possible that he got it from a white hat? Thoughts, please fellow Q-treepers.

I don’t know who leaked, and at this time, I’m don’t believe anyone can say what investigations Huber, and/or his associates signed off on, or are continuing to investigate. Don’t believe anyone can give the definitive answer at this point.

It’s important to remember that Sessions was recused from all things Russia on March 3, 2017, before Huber’s name was released.
Sessions was not recused from the Huber investigation because it wasn’t about Russia. (Hillary email investigation, Clinton Foundation, FISA abuse,…) and there were no further leaks, (unless someone told Sundance.) Sessions had Huber until November 2018, then Whittaker, and now Barr.
Rosenstein had the Mueller Russia-Russia-Russia Investigation.
And it appears that Sundance’s information came from a leak intended to benefit the black hats. Think we should ask him?

I have traced the Zuckerberg family back a ways. There are Russian immigrants there, if the Zuckerbergs are actually his parents. And I will keep looking. BUT, if this Greenberg story is TRUE, I am looking in the wrong place.

Anyway, I find this whole “Greenberg / Zuckerberg” thing painfully WRONG (to me they’re obviously not the same people). The meme / theory is definitely and very intentionally powered by a statistical susceptibility of a percentage of its boosters (not all – a percentage) to “it’s the JOOZ” thinking. In fact – and this is my pet theory – I think the meme is used to MEASURE that – that it was carefully constructed by somebody to not only nudge people toward that thinking, but to see who can be nudged.
If Goebbels was still alive, I would pin it on him. It’s very crafty. As it is, I think it was constructed by people who have multiple goals NOT in the interest of MAGA.

There are many ways to change facial/other features that skew how photos appear and I would think those examples are still on the site but a simple tool you can use that doesn’t require you to be trained as they are, is to take their findings and look at the person of interest’s spouse, and siblings and children. If the person is playing a long-term role (such as a senator), then you can expect to see their immediate family members playing their supporting cast.

Q is not afraid to dig in where the other side has put up dangerous defenses, and I suspect that this meme is (in part) a defense – a deflection – a way to tarnish investigation into Zuckerberg as motivated by antisemitism. “Bring in the dogs, and they all get fleas.” Very crafty stuff, and I think this meme is crafty.

One of the things I love about this President is the complete approach he takes towards the economy. He recognized how battered the middle class was so he created policy that directly helped their wallets. MAGA is designed to increase wealth for all Americans but it directly stimulates the middle class.
He had to spend to do it. His hope was that growth would overcome the deficit quickly. Unfortunately the Fed does not believe in rapid growth because they insist that all it does is inflate the economy. POTUS recognized it early and drove the cost of energy down because that helps mitigate any increases in the cost of money.
That didn’t reduce the deficit fast enough so he turns around and does something only a businessman would do – he offers a budget that cuts spending. It doesn’t just slow the rate of the spending increase, he literally will spend less in 2020.
So he takes a bottom up approach and shifts to a top down approach. This is brilliant. It will flush out the politicians who do not care about this country. They want the money because it gives them power to control us.
Now we will see who has the best interests of this country in mind. Watch carefully at who becomes outraged that we spend less. Vote accordingly.

They changed the design of the plane, as they put larger (and supposedly more fuel-efficient) engines on it. That moved the center of gravity forward, which changed the handling characteristics of the the plane to the point that they needed a software solution to avoid stalls. The FAA did not require a full recertification of the plane, as it was considerd not a major change (others would beg to differ). Since the recert wasn’t required, sim training was also not mandatory, according to plane peeps.
Two similar crashes in a short time period for a new plane justified caution. There are 300+ people and their families who would welcome that.

Pilot error. This is SO SLICK. 80’s MK tech and access to the pilots is all one needs. Drill in a “wrong move” very hard, with the idea that one has to stay committed, and they’re toast.
What PDJT says is true of not only planes, it is also true of the automobiles we use every day. Most people don’t think about the fact that the single most dangerous thing we do on a regular basis is drive.
And the same massively complicated systems that take control away from the driver that PDJT disparages have also been embedded in our motor vehicles. They make us complacent about the value of driving skills.

Having done it in computing, what I find is that simplicity is very important in safety, and NEEDLESS complexity is a danger, but yet an orchestration of strong, simple concepts can give power AND safety.

I like the redundancy of humans AND machines, knowing that BOTH can make mistakes, and guarding against both.
If you are an licensed Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) with years of experience flying complex jets, I am interested in your opinion re: today’s 4th Gen. transport aircraft vs. modern cars.
If you aren’t, then like POTUS you don’t know what you’re trying to talk about.
So because I lack your expertise in operating an airplane, I know nothing about the complexities of modern cars, do I have that right?
No. I was quite clear in what I wrote, but I’ll add to it. Unlike common drivers, Professional pilots have extensive training in operating the aircraft that they fly both in the classroom as well as in highly complex and realistic simulators. My point is, if you have experience as a professional aviator and training and highly complex aircraft, then you have the experience and knowledge to opine about the differences between today’s complex aircraft in today’s modern cars. If you’re only experiences in modern cars. You have no standing to talk about how cars compare to aircraft, and most particularly the training that deals with distractions and the like that pilots receive vs. the non-existent training todays drivers DONT get.
Hmmm. So my experience is in designing computer operating systems, language compiters, databases, and debugging otherwise intractible problems on them. Add to that the issues created by un- or poorly-trained users and managers.
I rather suspect my experience is germane to problems with fly- or drive-by-wire devices. And in the case of a machine which DID have a major change, moving the center of gravity forward, relying on a fail-safe system with TWO rather than THREE (always need a tie-breaker) inputs, I think there’s an issue.

Professional pilots don’t speculate about what happened when a plane goes down. We wait for the results of the investigation, because we know accidents are NEVER just one thing but rather a chain of events, and many links in the chain are not always obvious but rather counter-intuitive.

It could be a design flaw, it could be a pilot training issue, it could be both, or it could be mechanical failure.
Speculation is just that. Speculation. And speculation in aviation kills people.

One of my family is a pilot/ob-gyn who abhored the ‘birthing room’ fad – he said any delivery could turn into a nightmare in a matter of seconds and he wanted all his OR equipment at the ready. I’ve flown with him when we had to crack the door on landing because the fancy Bellanca indicators would not show the wheels were down and locked and we might be making a belly slide landing. The more mechanisms on a machine, the more can go wrong. I bought a no frills no self-propelled mower, just because of that.
Experienced Instructor on Fox thinks it’s a training problem. Tier 2 countries can’t afford to send pilots to Boeing for training due to expense, so they send to less expensive competitor training, thus are not educated on 737 specific emergency procedure when seconds count. Kinda makes sense. US has 100’s of successful flights, smaller countries have the 2 crashes.

My husband was an engineer for 26 years in Aero space company. He told me the problems they often had was with faulty parts that the supplier got from a third country and not telling.
I ask him about the Boeing problem he said ” we have to wait what experts say.”
I remember he had problems with crews before that did not met the specs.

He has owned aircraft for 3 decades and has his own flight department.
So he is speaking from the perspective of an aircraft owner, and as one who has paid a lot of bills to keep his aircraft safe and maintained well.
He has also employed a lot of pilots over the years.
He has trusted them to keep not only himself safe…but also the precious cargo of his family.
I don’t see anything in what Pres Trump said, as derogatory in any way towards you and your fellow professionals.
I think he was referring to the glass cockpits and ‘flying-by-wire’.
If anything, I think he is saying that professional pilots can do things better than all of the computerized avionics that take away the autonomy of pilots.
The way I read it…he is saying he trusts You Guys more than he trusts the computerized systems.
In user-facing computing, I have always trusted a combination of humans and machines. I want to say “highly trained humans”, but quite frankly, one learns more from some of the poorly trained people. 😉
I do think that people may INFER things into Trump’s tweets – that is just the way it is. They always do that anyway.
I do know this – Trump’s tweets ALWAYS age well. Just wait for it.
As for speculation – that is OUR job. The fake news doesn’t speculate out all the possibilities. That’s their problem. WE GO THERE – all the possibilities. It is by THINKING them all, that they can ALL be eliminated, and the final truth elucidated.

Here’s the thing about the commercial fleet pilots in the US: the vast majority, and I mean vast, are military veterans. I knew a 747 pilot who was one of the few who did not go the military route. These guys know what they are doing.
Given the testimony that smoke was coming from the planes, I asked about the engines since I know Boeing doesn’t make them. This is the engine that model uses. Since Britain banned the aircraft from their airspace, this is a cabal hit against one of the companies.

The South/Central American/Mexican cartels as well as the EU cartels are heavily infiltrated by Islamists. The Russians and Asian mobs are also involved.
Cartels are REAL terror – they literally terrorize people. This is a very good call! We need to GET BACK TO FUNDAMENTALS on what is “terrorism”. It is LITERALLY terrorizing the public with acts of violence for a goal. The goal can be a lot of things.
We usually think about INTERNATIONAL terrorists. But there are also NATIONAL terrorists (Puerto Rican radical bombers and other separatists used to be a big problem). But it can be even more focused than that.
Terrorists don’t just have to have a POLITICAL AGENDA. They can have what are primarily CRIMINAL, SOCIAL or ECONOMIC agendas as well. Cartels fit right into that.
And because the cartels AFFECT our nation – YES – call them terrorists.
NOW – one more thing. VERY IMPORTANT.
Based on watching Hollywood, I believe the Democrat Marxists have some plan that LEVERAGES this “war against the cartels”. I have not figured out how they want to ABUSE it, but they do, I am absolutely certain. They may be trying to push the idea of extrajudicial justice, so that in their hands, it becomes STALINIST and directed against AMERICANS. There is some downside to American action against the cartels that makes the left – as shown by their hand tipped in Hollywood – WANT THIS.

I guess being around overly educated people and those with money to spare my whole life, plus having people in the circle who played Division I sports, the thought that the feds would investigate this and bring charges is startling.
What is it that you have against U$C?
In many respects it is a GREAT University (and I don’t give a rip about the football and baseball teams). They had and have a great engineering and computer science school, their music and cinema schools are world-renowned, their journalism school (at least back then) was one of the top (a former classmate/hallmate is on the masthead of the LA Times), and their medical, dental, law, and architecture schools are excellent. James Dobson was on faculty there.
And NCAA has been on their case forever and a day. I had a roommate who was on the track team (“fastest white guy on campus” he called himself) and they checked on him ALL THE TIME. Even had limits on how many track shoes, where they came from, all the tape/bandages/etc. (could have made a mummy out of all of it). And yes, there WAS the Craig Fertig scandal in those days, and Anthony Davis could park his caddy anwhere on campus, while University President Hubbard would get ticketed and towed (yep, it was in the D.T.) (and I saw “AD’s Hog” parked there).
There were the rich kids, and there were the scholarship kids, who worked their collective tails off (myself among them). And, I knew some of the rich kids were also hard workers, some not. And one, of an illuminati family, who was a cheat, at best. I think their “School of International Relations” attracted a lot of the early globalist/illumi types. We in the hard sciences called that a “Mickey Mouse major”, though it sometimes served as a ticket into law school for some folks…
I think you’re painting with a broad brush there, and it’s unfair to the thousands of LEGITIMATE students there. Is it overpriced? Yes, but the “ed biz” and the Student Loan farce (not to mention BEOG and all the other beaurocrapola) have caused tuition rates to balloon in the last four decades. It is a SYSTEMIC problem; and there are most assuredly other Universities and Colleges that haven’t been caught.

Actually, when I knew students in the opera program there, it sucked.

The thing about being anonymous is that none of us know details like where we went to school and under what circumstances, most work histories, etc. I worked for an academically known university for quite a while and I have a sibling in the administration of a state university.

That all said, it quickly became apparent to me that many of the old posters that I appreciated most were missing from the forum. It was so widespread it was obvious that it wasn’t a case of people going through something like I had. I didn’t know what it happened all I knew is everyone was gone.
Then, one day about a week ago, I happened upon a post that was written in response to another poster who had asked “where has everybody gone?“ The reply directed me to this place, and lo and behold….here we’re all the old Treepers I had been missing!
The above all said, I had no sooner made a few posts in this space and I was placed in moderation OT
and any comments I attempted to make there were deleted.
I now believe Sundance is not who he claims to be. He is not MAGA. He is, rather, a person like Paul Ryan.

So, you missed Sundance’s infamous Q thread where he said there was to be no more Q talk and no more talk of a Plan? That was the big doozie…where he dropped a bomb in his own living room and then left indefinitely to let everyone else battle it out for days…It was intentional and it achieved what he wanted.

Not sure what’s going on with SD, but on a larger basis, I think that “rejection of Q information” (for whatever reason) clearly distorts one’s vision of the world, because there is more good information than disinformation coming from Q, and the disinformation tends to be directed against THEM, not US.
That “rightness of Q vision” is going to bring a lot of folks into the Q information sphere.
Likewise, reflexive rejection of Q information will lead to persistent errors.
You aren’t saying anything that challenges my thinking about SD.

My Point of view on Q was I really did not care if he was a LARP or not.
What did he achieve?
Digging up interesting information and active participation in politics by a lot of people who would ordinarily have gone back to sleep for another 4 years.

I hope that SD gets back on track because he has a lot of influence and he is abusing it.
Gail, I don’t understand why he turned this way, but at this point I agree. Basically it’s a site working on behalf of the other side, not ours. It’s one thing to give facts, it’s another to drop innuendo and use the power of suggestion against our side.
I’ll admit my eyes glaze over on Q stuff – partly because I’m tech challenged, and it looks like a lot of code which is difficult for me to decipher – but I always skim the information and catch a good part of what is being said – enough of it’s logical and informative – and therefore useful.
Incorporating useful information is a good thing.
FGAC, No, can’t change your mind, because I’m cemented with a similar opinion. The perspective and mood became distinctly negative, all the way back to last summer. I fought against the negativity in the comments until I gave up. The articles shifted more and more to negative outcomes, and whereas once I looked forward to the site as a source of good information for our side, it no longer provided that.
I don’t recognize almost any of the names, and they’re all in concert w/ SD’s the Swamp is winning, POTUS is helpless and going to let us down.
Knowing human nature, the Swamp, in some form, is always going to exist. Evil never dies, it just gets beat back. Believing that POTUS is weak and incompetent? That violates logic and my theory of the man.
If we don’t get everything we want? So what? It means we continue the battle, but we certainly should not waste energy thinking negatively. It’s a waste of our resources.
Having a general tell his troops we’re going to lose isn’t a way to keep his troops in the fight or keep them from deserting. I’d rather go forth into battle believing we’ll win, giving it everything I had – then I can close out my life with honor and knowledge that I stood on the side of righteousness.

It is POLLING. His actions would have a tendency to drive down / depress the polling of PDJT.
What happens when his polling drops low enough amongst R’s?
Winner, winner, chicken dinner – IMPEACHMENT.
SD’ efforts IS actively supporting IMPEACHMENT!!!
INTENDED OR NOT, THAT IS ITS EFFECT.

No, I can’t refute. Last night, for the first time ever, when I read those words as a caption on his post for Sarah, I concluded that whatever might have been true in the past, no longer held sway. Using the power of suggestion, intimating that Pelosi has something more destructive in her arsenal against POTUS – that’s a bridge crossed and then blowing up the bridge.
Nothing we’ve seen supports such a position, so it means an intentional set psyops direction. Almost every poster there is happy to go along with the negativity, so it attracts that kind of mindset. Pretty soon he’ll be flooded with Lefties who find it a nice place to hang out.
In thinking back on posts and comment threads, maybe most of the positivity was really in the comments, and not so much in the articles themselves…

This is crueller, intended, as I know conclude, to drive down polling. This is enemy action – what you expect from the swamp. Infiltration operation – seen in so many areas.

Maybe that’s what it is, simply SD disappointment that we haven’t drained the Swamp yet. It’s understandable to be discouraged, though I’m not. They’ve thrown everything they have at POTUS, and he is still doing exactly what he needs to do.
From my experience, the best way to view life is from the cup half full. Believing it’s half empty deprives one of a refreshing drink. 🙂

I can address one of his other posts….the core of high-bypass turbofan engines are NOT as big as a picture of them seem. The fans are huge, and so is the shroud (cowling) around it, but the turbojet core is not. I’m thinking that is a pic of the Aux. Power Unit (APU)…also a jet engine…that those are pictures of. This is where the APU lives…in the tail of the plane….
