In 2015 I was working in a SOC space with 12 TV screens and a digital wall, the manager was a Fox News fan so he kept one of the TVs on Fox News and another on the Weather Channel – both muted of course. During that cycle I caught a lot more of the primary action than I would have normally.
I remember one day during the primaries there was a lot of activity as people were still announcing candidacy, but Fox News was on-site at the Florida governor’s mansion for an exclusive interview with Jeb Bush. The timing was suspicious because he hadn’t made any announcements about his candidacy for President.
It’s also interesting watching the news with the volume muted, because without the distraction of the sound track you can really see the production tricks they do staging interviews and with camera framing. So when they interviewed Jeb Bush, they went way out of their way to put him in the most positive light possible, and make him look extremely poised. The reporter was unusually respectful toward him in how they asked questions, gave him a long time to answer questions, and a shocking amount of total air time.
IOW, Fox set up the interview specifically to start teeing him up for the Presidential run.
I always recommend…if you must watch the news…do so with the sound off! For the sake of sanity!

If God Is In Control, Why Is My Life Such a Mess?
There are many ways we can react to a storm. We can try to run away from its source, or we can keep ourselves so busy that we don’t have a moment’s rest for dwelling on our problems. But these human methods will fail.
When Jonah surrendered to God, “the raging sea grew calm” (Jonah 1:15). Sometimes the consequences of our sin linger, even after our repentance. But the storm of rebellion will abate only after we have repented of the sin. As long as disobedience occurs, we will be tossed about on those stormy waves.
Jonah knew that he could not hide from God’s sovereignty.
When confronted with his storm, Jonah knew what he had to do. He told the sailors, “Pick me up and throw me into the sea, . . . and it will become calm. I know that it is my fault that this great storm has come upon you” (Jonah 1:12). Jonah knew Almighty God was not going to let his open rebellion go unnoticed. He knew that he could not hide from God’s sovereignty. In telling the sailors to throw him into the sea, Jonah was declaring that he was done running away from God.

I don’t know it it’s relevant, but my son has “suspicion of mitochondrial myopathy”. He’s taking tons of Q-10, L-Carnitin, Vitamin C, and other supplements, which Germany refuses to classify as theraputic (read: we have to pay for it all with no help from the Krankenkasse).
But: the stuff does help him. As it does other folks, who don’t have the same issues (Cardiomyopathy).
There are so many new things out there, but Big Pharma wants to keep them suppressed.

Last week, a county in central Kansas experienced something quite unusual for the region: within a five day period, there were eleven earthquakes. Kansas is not a particularly earthquake-prone state, taking spot #41 on the U.S. Earthquake Index. This means that the chance of earthquake damage in Kansas is much lower than the national average.
This shocking increase in seismic activity began with a magnitude-2.4 earthquake last Wednesday morning. The quake occurred around 2 1/2 miles southwest of Hutchinson, Kansas, in Reno County, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). It was followed by ten more earthquakes, reports The Kansas City Star:
The second came just before 8 a.m. on Friday. The magnitude-4.2 shook the area, centered less than a mile southwest of Wednesday’s temblor. More than 1,000 people reported feeling the quake across Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri, according to the USGS.
It wouldn’t be the last quake on Friday. A magnitude-3.1 quake shook the ariea about 10 minutes later followed by four more tremors through the day ranging from magnitude 2.4 to 3.0, according to the USGS.
Seismic activity in the area continued on Saturday with three more quakes — magnitudes 2.0 to 3.0 — before a magnitude 4.1 shook the area early Sunday morning, according to the USGS. (source)
