Warfare has changed over the millennia. It has gone from hand-to-hand with clubs and blades, to involving archery, to firearms. And as that has been going on, it has also involved naval warfare, because seas were (and are) excellent means of delivering supplies and soldiers, so control of the seas became essential. And, over the last century-plus, this has become true of the air, with the added bit that air is an excellent place, too, for reconnaissance. And now we’re moving into space, which has largely (so far) been a place useful for reconnaissance, navigation and communications, and therefore, inevitably, will be fought over.
But–please correct me if I’m wrong–the last time huge armies of literally millions of people got together and duked it out for the survival of their major-power countries was World War II.
Probably the biggest “conventional” war since World War II was the Iran-Iraq war, with total military dead over the nearly eight years it ran being anywhere from 300,000 to 1,100,000 people. Even there though the forces in the field at any given time were considerably less than a million, total.
What killed the “big” duke-em-outs between major powers? The nuclear bomb. Two major powers will never get into that kind of fight again, because the side that thinks it’s losing will push the button, and the side that would be winning knows this. Not that they don’t fight…they just do it by other means, hoping to weaken the other side, but knowing they can’t annihilate them without being themselves annihilated. (And of course the Soviet Union bent every effort to get us to give up our nukes, so that they could then blackmail us.)
World War II was the last time we’ll see such massive carnage on a battlefield. One hopes. And there was plenty to go around; we had some positively brutal battles in the Pacific. The Soviets had an even rougher time of it, losing tens of millions to the war and more millions to their own government. We fought the Nazis, too, in Africa and Italy before…well, before D-Day.
[Now I have to stop right here and smack some Commies upside the head. The post-war Soviet Union loved to depict the US contributions to the war as absolutely minimal; I once saw a propaganda movie intended to depict us as doing nothing more than running a few exercises, blowing up ships we were about to scuttle anyway. Even today, sometimes the Russians like to minimize our efforts. That is, of course, a Terex-dump-truck-load of bearded dragon shit.
But by the same token, one must acknowledge that what we went through, though great, was less than the Soviet Union did, and no, not all of it was Stalin’s deliberate doing, and it’s not even the case all of it was Stalin’s incompetence. It does not minimize our efforts to acknowledge that what they suffered was even bigger.]
Which brings us, finally, to D-Day. In order to win the war against an intransigent enemy, we had no choice but to invade. (Bombers are very useful, but have never conquered anything.) That meant sending our troops directly to places where the enemy, which had had months or even years to construct fortifications, was waiting for them. We managed to blunt the impact of this with disinformation, the sorts of things we did to convince Hitler that the threat was to Calais, not Normandy. He moved forces that would have made mincemeat of the invasion, otherwise. (Even after the D-Day landings, Patton was kept in Southeastern England until July, to deceive Germany into thinking there would be an additional “main” landing at Calais. He was a victim of his own success in battle.)
The cost of picking Normandy was that our forces would have to travel farther to Germany, and farther across the English Channel. Germany knew this of course, and Calais was a much more obvious target for us. All of this convinced Germany to throw its resources elsewhere–plus, of course, most of its forces were fighting the Soviet Union.
But did I say “to blunt the impact of this”? If this was “blunted,” I’d certainly not wish a non-blunted version of it on anyone!
Most of us have seen Saving Private Ryan. That opening scene was a small taste of the reality. Anyone who was there, or on any of the other beaches, deserves our undying gratitude. Because of what they did, not only was the evil of Nazism extirpated–by this time that would have happened anyway; Hitler was already losing to the Soviet Union–but the western half of Europe was saved from the ravages of Communism. For Stalin would certainly not have stopped at the Elbe.
Imagine a post-war world where the Iron Curtain was the coast of Europe, rather than running down its center. I’m not sure the Soviet Union would ever have fallen. And what would have happened to the UK?
The Landings Themselves
D-Day remains the largest amphibious assault in history. 160,000 were landed on D-Day, with subsequent reinforcements bringing the numbers up to 875,000 by the end of June.
There were five beaches: Omaha, Utah, Gold, Juno, and Sword. The first two were American, the last three were invaded by British and Canadian soldiers.
By far the worst meat grinder was Omaha, with 2000 dead, followed by Gold with about 1000 dead. All told, on D-Day, 4,414 allied troops died, with a grand total of about 10,000 Allied dead and wounded. (The Germans lost about a thousand men, which is not unexpected proportions for a defending force.)
Those casualty numbers, bad as they are, could have been much, much higher. And I imagine if we fought like the Soviets fought, with utter disregard for the lives of their own troops, they would have been.
Without D-Day, we’d live in a very different world. World War II was pivotal in history, and D-Day was pivotal within World War II. Thank You to all who fought there, and in Africa and Italy before, and Western Europe afterwards, and also to those who fought in the meantime in the Pacific.
Let’s just hope we can dish out domestic justice as well as we dished it out to the Japanese and the Nazis. It’s the least we can do for them, to let this continue being the sort of country they fought for.

This is psychological warfare, all rolled out with a grand form of synchronicity, that most didn’t even see coming, or take a breath to see what’s happening before their very eyes. While the country burns, and the country bleeds, thousands are willingly providing cover for those carrying out acts of violence and bloodshed during these protests over George Floyd’s death, and others are succumbing to their pent-up anger as bait is dangled in front of them.

Darn…sent too soon. It’s the D-Day exhibit in Bedford, Va….the little town that lost the most soldiers in the War. Done exceptionally well, the highlight is the large series of statues depicting storming the shores…with water, “gun fire” and sounds of the day.
Sorry I cannot supply image but just look it up and you’ll be able to see it. A must-see if you are in the DC area…there’s a train that takes you there.
A D-Day Tribute
Eleven Friends
This morning my father said to me, son,
Remember your uncle, not John, Big Ed.
Well, he was at Normandy, on D-Day,
In the first wave, storming the beachhead.
In June, after high school, Ed and his friends,
So young and carefree, all joined the army.
They joined to protect all the folks back home,
Early in the summer of ’43.
They all stayed together, from Fort Devens
To Devon, England where they would train
At Slapton Sands for the big invasion,
All to bring freedom to France once again.
With the First Division just off Omaha Beach,
Out of the transports, all climb down the net.
Eleven friends into the Higgins Boats,
Some men praying, but all in a cold sweat.
In the Higgins Boats, tossed by the sea,
All were puking and seasick and cold.
Weakness, nausea and obvious fear
Were just a foretaste of the battle’s toll.
The boats came in close, some out too far
There was some hope, then the ramps came down.
The order was given “Men, hit the beach!”
Many, overloaded, stepped off and drowned.
For Ed and Stash, the water wasn’t deep.
They both charged forward, heroes at the least.
They landed off the beach by the high cliffs;
A stiff wind had blown the boats too far east.
Into the water to the jaws of death,
Obstacles, beach mines and cruel barbed wire.
Rifles, machine guns and artillery,
Death everywhere from the flanking fire.
Through it all the men struggled and fought;
Thousands died at Omaha in the bay.
Of the original eleven friends,
Only Ed and Stash were alive the next day.
Son, you think of Ed, laid back and quiet,
Never ever speaking of what he’s done.
Back in the day he was “Ready Eddie,”
Always smiling and always looking for fun.
War and death will change a man in ways
That sometimes are bad, and other times good.
Ed came back changed, a grown serious man,
Having less fun than, perhaps, a man should.
We’ll all be going to Greenlawn today,
To honor Big Ed and all of his friends.

I’d say it’s worth a fix, so long as you also do a repeat post (particularly since we’re on page 2 as of the time I write this).
I think these companies have gotten a memo. If I look at letter from two of them Ikea and Eddie Bauer notice that they both mention certain names.
It reminds me of the mockingbird media well now I have the mockingbird companies.
How this is going to help them I have no idea? Because I for one will not be spending my money in certain places that peddle this. Show me your making stuff in the USA.

We can’t promise we will be able to engage on every single comment – but we will be making an effort to use our channels for constructive dialogue.
Our brand has a 100+ year heritage and there are many things we love about Eddie Bauer’s deep roots, starting with the ethos of helping guide everyone in their outdoor experiences. IKEA condemns in the strongest possible terms all forms of racism and prejudice. And while we do not condone acts of violence of any kind, we understand how years of harassment and persecution can manifest in the outrage we are seeing today.
We know many of you view IKEA as “a Swedish company,” but we’ve been in the U.S. for 35 years now and have 18,000 co-workers about whom we care deeply. We have a responsibility to create an environment where every co-worker feels safe, included, and valued. This doesn’t mean that we must agree on everything, but we will always respect each other. In the next few days, we will be in constant conversation with our leaders and co-workers to determine the best way forward and how we can help rebuild communities—many of which have already been impacted by COVID-19.

As far as IKEA goes, Ingvar Kamprad, the founder of IKEA (Ingvar Kamprad, the IK part), was thrifty, a hard worker, and had a Protestant work ethic. His progeny, and the “erbgemeinschaft”, and the corporate weenies, not at all.
In around 2004, IKEA disbanded all of their local catalog groups, and moved to a central group in Sweden. Every country, from then on, got TWO (count ’em, TWO) pages of the catalog as their own, which would then be translated into the 100+ languages in which it appears. Needless to say, the market they really aim for is Red China, by far the largest market, and that could explain the prominence of RED in their color schemes!
It also explains the prevalence of cheap Chinese Shit in their stores. Who knows what’s in the particleboard making up the Billy book cases (btw, Billy is like billig (in German) which means CHEAP – something that’s a bargain, good value for the money, is termed günstig…)…
Ever since then, the catalogs have been a hodge-podge of disparate items thrown into a room, hoping that they land in something resembling some sort of order…gee, how edgy… No more lists of product families in the back, no more (real) Christmas things in the SB Halle (serve-yourself).
Nope, the Scandanavians are killing their own culture, whilst welcoming the Islamic Barbarian invaders…

PROTEST UPDATE
Good news! The protest in my neighborhood was peaceful! Thank you to all who helped me pray for peace!
The protest organizers wisely changed the protest route overnight so that the protest was directed away from the main business and residential part of the neighborhood. They decided to block some major roads instead. I could hear the chanting and yelling from my house even with the THREE helicopters circling the neighborhood. There was social media chatter last night about people planning on open carrying around neighborhood businesses to keep them safe, so I wonder if the rumors of guns along with prayer prompted the decision to move the protest.

This evening I finally watched a film I have been saving specifically for tonight.

So, I found this live bird on the ground, on the sidewalk beside my house. It’s quite young — It still has some down, but mostly feathers — though I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have any flight feathers. It was on its side, with both feet sticking out one way. I could see it breathing, and at one point, it flopped around until it faced a different direction.
I know the standard advice is to not get involved and let nature take its course — but it’s not natural to be laying on a concrete sidewalk on a well-travelled route for people to walk their dogs. So I scooped it up into a towel-lined short box and set it on top of the washing machine in our mudroom, with an incandescent light bulb to keep it company. (Birds are basically reptiles until they’re autonomous and need a source of heat. Chicks at about that age generally need to be 88-95 degrees. Being that it’s about 70 in the house, I put a clamp-on floodlight above the box with a 60 watt bulb and about a 1″ gap, then moved it off-center so I didn’t Easybake the victim. I fussed around until I thought the area near the bird was about right — it’s not like I keep electronic temperature monitors around in case of animal rescue.)
After my fiddling with the heat a while, the bird has gotten its feet under it and settled down on its belly, and tucked its head away from the light like it was sleeping normally. If it’s dead tomorrow (as I half expect), I will have smoothed its passing. I looked in the bushes adjacent to the sidewalk where I found him and could not find a nest.
Unfortunately, its breathing is not as readily visible in this position. Its eyes have been closed every time I’ve looked at them — but it seems odd that this would be a developmental thing being that he clearly has feathers. I just saw a bunch of Canada geese goslings that were out foraging around despite being entirely covered in down.
I have no idea what type of bird this is — it’s halfway between infant (down) and juvenile (non-flight) feathers, and few birding books cover the coloration of either stage. It’s looking like it might be heading to pigeon size at adulthood, or maybe dove. Bill is long and pointed, like a seed-picker or insectivore.
Anyway, I’m pretty sure I made it more comfortable and kept it from being stepped-on, kicked into the street, attacked by roof rats, or used as a dog toy (all unnatural). If it’s alive tomorrow, I’ll have to figure out what comes next.
Slight clarification — if it wasn’t obvious — if it were in a situation where it imminently would be picked-off by a (native) hawk, I would not have intervened. That’s the way that nature works. But it was in a confluence of artificial human risks that I hoped to partially offset by a human kindness.
Oh, and someone lost a ball python nearby…..

It might have been in search of water when something happened to knock it on the ground.
Water has been on my mind (we would all die of dehydration long before we starved), but it was on its side until it was warmed, and then looked asleep. If it had been cheeping or active after being warmed, I would have tried to get it to accept water.
I’m thinking that it just fell out…..but I found it in a place (on the sidewalk), where it could have moved some distance from the nest — and I wasn’t in a situation where I could examine 30 feet of bushes for a potential nest site — and he was somewhat mobile. I searched about 5 feet of that 30 directly above where I found him and saw nothing.
The temperature dropped about 20 degrees between yesterday and today. Being a n00b, he may have been caught unaware.
Given the environment we have here, it is entirely possible that it was growing in the nest and its parents got eaten by housecats.
Or snakes. That has been a far greater danger to nests than cats on our property. We finally put multi-layers of black netting around the trees with blue bird houses to deter snakes.
They really don’t need water since they get it from the food they get.
If it’s a worm eater it’s easier than a seed eater.
Update — as expected, it passed during the night. But sitting upright like a bird, in a warm, protected area.

And due to the nature of space, can’t a weapon be launched from anywhere in earth orbit, and be guided to drop on the United States?
How is it different from allowing the enemy to put a knife to your throat, but not doing anything about it until after he cuts your throat?
OK, so NOW we are talking *specifically* about weapons platforms.
Not spy satellites, not comm satellites, not navigation satellites or even weather satellites.
Those latter, of course, we DO let cross over our country. There was quite a lot of consternation in the early space age and the time immediately before it, because the old theory of property rights and territoriality said a property owner, or a country, owned a wedge whose point was at the center of the earth and which extended to infinity (this, by the way, is absurd on an oblate spheroid. You go straight down from any place not on the equator or at the poles, and you MISS the center of the earth; you’ll hit it if you allow the bore hole to curve to follow the gravitational gradient.)
The conclusion of all of that is that up in space, it’s not our territory, and as long as nothing kinetic/destructive is headed towards us, we can’t lay a finger on it without it being a hostile act. This is because it’s basically impossible not to “overfly” some country’s territory unless the orbital inclination is less than the magnitude of the latitude of the nearest point in that country to the equator. (Again not exactly true, oblate spheroid strikes again, but the inclination has to stay below a number very similar to that latitude.)
So I doubt there’s anything we could do about a weapons platform in orbit without it being an act of war; it’s not “our territory ” in any meaningful sense. 16. Why did the EMT workers (wearing police uniforms including bullet proof vests) roughly handle and dump the unconscious George on the stretcher? This is not how trained emergency workers lift a person with a possible neck injury. Why did they not attempt triage or try CPR?
17. Can someone really not breathe when someone kneels on his neck and is the victim really able to speak for considerable periods of time if he can’t breathe?
18. Post killing: Why is a white man that looks like an undercover (St. Paul) cop in black and a riot gear mask carrying a black umbrella walking around breaking windows (and others dressed similarly starting fires) and instigating a riot? Is this reminiscent of “umbrella man” during the JFK shooting?

And I’d like to add that I listen to X22 Report daily (well M-F, there is no report on weekends)… huge aid in staying sane these days. I equate him with Praying Medic (they’re both named Dave 😉 ) I tried all the others, but most don’t resonate because they to often are giving their prognostications, their crystal ball reading. X22 explains what has already happened (gives another sometimes out of the box aspect to what I may have thought about it). He tweets and has a website. And yes, he has commercials… has to make a living, right?

Mob allowed to gather outside Downing Street and throw objects at police – again.
A quick update from the church front lines.
Three evenings in a row I’ve have lengthy and significant conversations with different people about the problems and infiltration happening in the churches. Some of it was triggered by fallout from LIFELOG conversations where it is becoming clearer than ever that the goal of much of the radical left is to divide the Evangelical vote in 2020.
Last night I spoke with a woman from another area church, where she had seen a sudden and disconcerting emphasis on racial justice. She felt like she was alone – that other people were just going along with it. She had stumbled onto the conversation on LIFELOG which blew her mind. Someone put her in touch with me and we talked for 90 minutes while I explained the background of what had been going on. How the young woman who started the conversation on LIFELOG had come under the teaching of a pastor who was big into Critical Race Theory. How that same pastor was part of an organization that was organizing teaching racial justice in virtually all the SBC-member and non-denominational churches in the area. How that same pastor was in the thick of it. How the organization was promoting SPLC materials on it’s website(!). And how that org was being funded by the likes of Tim Gill and of course Papa Soros.
From there I backed out to the bigger picture, and how the ERLC and Al Mohler had staged a coup of the SBC and what they were doing. Including how they were directly responsible for promoting Critical Race Theory (CRT). As you recall, in 2019 the SBC convention passed a resolution supporting CRT. Not as well known is that the resolution submitted originally was in opposition to CRT, but the resolution committee took it upon themselves to REWRITE the resolution in the committee to SUPPORT CRT, and then forwarded it on for the SBC floor vote, where it was voted on AS A BUNDLE with a pile of resolutions. There was no debate or individual voting – the resolutions committee’s proposal could only be accepted or rejected! So much for Baptist polity and listening to the voices of the messengers! Rule not by the people but by hand-picked committees.
She was mind-blown by the rabbit hole. This is someone who is familiar with what is happening with General Flynn and the Deep State. She had no idea that there was an Evangelical Deep State controlling the churches across all denominations.
On Thursday evening a family get together for an evening picnic at a park turned into a discussion of what was happening at our church and what our options were. Since he had become a believer, he had attended the church, been very involved with the ministry, security, the deacons board, the worship ministry, met his wife there, gone to seminary, become a teacher and a leader, constantly at the church in ministry. I was not surprised that they were very concerned about what they’ve been hearing and seeing up there – though I was relieved to hear it! Still I was taken aback – they had poured DECADES into volunteer ministry at that church, and now they were quiet serious that they did not have a future with the church and were considering other options.
I pointed out one of the major problems. A Baptist church has a congregational polity. Since when do the staff make all the decisions about the church? And how the money is spent? Where is the accountability on the money? Who makes the hiring and firing decisions? Who makes the decisions about which programs the church does and how they will be executed? Why is it that those decisions do NOT reside with the congregation, but only with the church staff, or the church pastors, or the elders?
On the accountability of money – keep in mind that the church’s books are impeccable. When they speak of “integrity” their finances are totally on the up and up. They have a financial committee with volunteer CPAs that comb over every nickel and dime and make sure the tax filings are beyond reproach. It is a transparent and well oiled machine. BUT – who has control of the money to hire and fire staff, and gets to decide how to use the money and divvy it up? Sure the nickels and dimes are perfect – but who is making the money decisions, and why, and how? And why isn’t it the congregation for an ostensibly Baptist church? Where are the church business meetings that require quorum where significant time is given to budget issues, with all the options laid out before the congregation and debated, finally put up for a vote?
I also posed the problem to them, if they did leave, where would they go? You can go from one church with huge red flags to another church with huge red warning flags. It’s a common theme with everyone I’ve talked to: We would leave the church but where would we go?
I’ve watched friends on LIFELOG check in at other area churches and posting pictures. I know they’re looking for a new church home – but I also look and think, they don’t know that the church they’re visiting also has huge problems of their own even worse than what they just left.
Right now I think it’s going to be AT LEAST a year before this shakes out. Things move pretty slowly, and 2020 is going to be a LONG HOT YEAR. I think the options are going to be as follows:
1. Take back control of the churches. This is a long shot – organizational power structures have been too heavily manipulated and I don’t see this being fixed by congregations awakening unless they really have a vocal supermajority. It will take a LOT of community organizing to accomplish this. (And, spiritually abuse churches are really good at dividing members from each other.)
2. Find alternative churches and move there. I don’t want to discount this, but again considering how widely targeted the area churches are by Papa George and the ERLC crew this is increasingly a long-shot. In a highly populated demographic region, small churches are typically small because they are unhealthy and unable to grow.
3. Network underground and start new churches. Begin with house churches and grow as needed. This is probably the best option but also one of the hardest to accomplish. It requires years of dedication to go this route, and house churches come with their own sets of problems.
Anyway this is pretty long but also intentionally ROUGH – putting it out here as is for now.
All of this leaves me wondering how these people vote. Are they Trump supporters or Dem supporters or a hybrid? I’m wondering if they would vote for a Dem for president.
Having failed to remove President Trump with Russiagate, impeachment and all the rest of it, The Atlantic is now preparing the ground for something even more ominous.

His use of the term “deep church,” like “deep state,” is very interesting — “that betrays its duties and forswears its proper commitments before God.” Your post no doubt explains, in part, where he is coming from. I can speak to no other Church but my own. The infiltration THIS TIME started in the 1920s, and has been traced. A number of seminaries were seeded, and it took about 30 years to get the people who worked to tear it apart to be in positions of power. The dark forces looked for smart, good looking, and highly intelligent men in the beginning. They were to be capable of living a double life.

Poor puppy??? I wrote a letter to the president of the board for the National Audubon Society where this “bird watching man” happens to sit on the board of directors. He apparently runs into this exact situation so frequently that he carries dog treats on his person while he is in the park? This is not only very unusual but no dog owner I know would allow their pet to take food from a stranger. I believe he is using his position on the board of directors to police the park, clearly not his job. Sounds to me like he is looking to pick a fight.
I sent a copy of my letter (actually e-mail) to Business Insider who broke the story and told them that I did not see this as a b/w or m/f thing, I see it as an intimidation thing. Also, the fact that he had no care or concern for the “poor puppy” that he would not back down long enough for her to get the dog under control and on the leash.

In high school, I bet you got an A+ in dissecting frogs.
I had A’s in everything until one quarter of 9th grade math when we studied proofs, postulates and theorems. I could show my teacher exactly how I arrived at my answer, and she understood why I arrived at my answer, but she could never explain why my answer was wrong.
I earned an ‘F’ that quarter, the first time I ever had less than an ‘A’ in any class. I framed it and put it on my dresser for punishment and motivation 😁
But high school is when I started having fun with creative writing assignments, usually making my teachers uncomfortable, but making all of my classmates laugh.
College is when I began dissecting… professorial dogma that is, and where I first encountered radical Leftism. I could see how it was going to be a big problem because the same people teaching this Leftist garbage had power over my grades.
So on the first paper I parroted back whatever Leftist idiocy they spewed, to get the ‘A’ and establish myself as an ‘A’ student. If I had established myself as an ‘A’ student when I told them what they wanted to hear, then they couldn’t give me a bad grade for disagreeing with them, all other things being equal (at least that was my theory).
Then for the rest of the quarter, I shredded my teachers’ positions and arguments. I loved it, and I couldn’t wait to get my papers back. My professors wrote ALL OVER my papers, between the lines, in the margins, everywhere, arguing back. But they gave the ‘A’.
Two of my professors told me they looked forward to my papers even though they strongly disagreed with me, because reading all the other papers that just parroted back the teacher’s own words was a slog, but my papers were always a ‘treat’ 😂
Eventually I did have a teacher give me an ‘A’ on the first paper, and then a ‘D’ on the second paper, with the only difference being that I challenged the teacher’s BS instead of going along with it. She wrote all over it in red ink, like most of my teachers did.
So I took both papers to the Ombudsman, and explained the situation, and why I said what the teacher wanted to hear on the first paper, to protect myself in case they gave me a low grade for challenging them on subsequent papers.
He asked me to have a seat while he read both papers (most papers were 5-page assignments, as both of these were). After reading both, he crossed out the ‘D’ and wrote ‘A’, and initialed it.
He handed them back to me and told me to tell my teacher to change my grade to an ‘A’ in her grade book, and if she didn’t, he would do it for her.
So that’s exactly what I did.
She changed it, and I don’t think she read any of my papers after that. She didn’t disagree with me after that or write anything on them at all, besides ‘A’. 😁
I have told lots of people (including my sister) to use the same strategy, so you don’t have to go through college being forced to regurgitate the Leftist garbage being taught, but as far as I know, nobody does. They go along and keep their head down, telling the professors what they expect to hear.
I couldn’t do it. No way. It wasn’t even a possibility. I would never have made it through college. And by going against my teachers when I believed they were wrong (which was about always), college was much more interesting and gratifying than high school ever was!

It was the only strategy I could think of that had a chance of working directly (on the teachers) with a built-in back up plan (Ombudsman) if the teachers were morally bankrupt.
If the Ombudsman failed, then the plan was to keep going up the ladder until I found someone who wasn’t corrupt.
If everyone in the university administration turned out to be corrupt, then I would have explored suing the university and going on local TV.
Because I was RIGHT, and I could prove it — and eventually that had to be the determining factor. The only question was how far I had to go in order to get a fair hearing 👍

Administrations are generally reluctant to override professors for that reason…er, excuse.
The Ombudsman told me she had regular complaints against her, but never enough in any one quarter or school year to fire her. She was a real piece of work 👍 😁
By that point I had nearly three years of experience employing this strategy, so I had plenty of evidence to prove my case, to show that it was an intentional strategy on my part to prevent exactly that type of academic abuse.
When the teacher gives you an ‘A’ on one paper, and a ‘D’ on the other, and the two papers are essentially the same — spelling is correct, grammar is correct, content covered is according to the assignment, etc. — and the only relevant (and obvious) variable is agreeing with the professor or challenging the professor, it is (and should be) an open and shut case of penalizing the student because the teacher disagreed with his or her views.
I believed it was an open and shut case, and I pursued it that way. I wasn’t going to accept a ‘D’ grade on a well written paper.
She didn’t defeat my arguments or positions, she just hated my conservative / traditional views, and she had the power to penalize me, to (attempt to) silence me through the exercise of her bias against my beliefs.
A bias which was completely absent in the paper where I agreed with her on everything.
Capitulation was not an option, I couldn’t go through college like that, which is why I came up with a way to counter it. I don’t mean it would have been difficult, I mean I could not do it, psychologically. They were attempting to force their indoctrination, their worldview, their distortion of reality. It’s the intentional distortion of reality which is the deal-breaker.
I can ignore the lies, but if they try to compel or coerce me to accept their distortion of reality, it’s war. It has to be.
If you compromise reality, if you accept or internalize something you know is untrue, where does it end? How far down that path do you go? If you didn’t stop the first time, what justification do you have to stop the next time? After awhile, how do you keep track of what’s real and what’s not? How do you ever find your way out of that maze? After awhile longer, how do you remember whether you’re even in a maze? How do you distinguish what is true from what is false, if you have allowed yourself to internalize things which you knew or believed to be untrue?
&^%# all that noise. If someone tries to do that, to coerce you to accept their false reality, it’s war. Almost no one is prepared to encounter that kind of fight in their first attempt to push their PC or Leftist BS on you. At least no one I’ve ever met. 😂 And from their perspective, there are a lot easier targets than someone who fights back, even a little. I think it’s a lot more fun if you enjoy going on offense, but I realize not everyone does. Even mild resistance, if it’s consistent, is enough. It may just take a little longer that way.

Well I went to UC-Boulder (“Berkeley by the Mountains”) and was in a STEM subject (because I did NOT do poorly with geometry), and employed a different strategy to get though my required 24 hours of “social humanistic” electives. I basically chose very judiciously, and AP-tested my way out of the one subject where I’d have had to write essays.
It will be hilarious if they can’t figure out how to spell it correctly.

There are too many articles on the internet describing excited delirium, and showing cops in other countries using the exact same control hold as the MN cop (implying that they experienced whatever the MN cop experienced).
The autopsy report is devastating to the prosecution and any legal eagle can see how it fails to show homicide. That is the first step in a prosecution for unlawful killing no matter what degree. NO injuries to his neck, illicit drug intoxication, underlying heart trouble, and positive for COVID (for good measure).
Bottom line is that the prosecution cannot prove a crime happened, let alone that the defendant did it. NOTHING he did is relevant to the crime for which he is charged (now 2nd degree) OR the crime he was first charged (3rd degree). Unless they can prove that defendant cop KNEW of a danger to Floyd’s life, there isn’t even any liability for wrongful death.
This is why AG Jihadi upped the charges – he knows the cop did nothing legally wrong so he needs to make the system the cur that sets him free. The initial investigation revealed these problems which is why they DIDN’T charge anybody at first. When the system sets the cop free, an entirely new set of outrages will begin.
