I put up one yesterday about noticing that we’re social distancing at the same measurement as we bury the dead, and the SJW crowd was like “mask it or casket.” And then one chimed in with, now it’s ten feet. And I came back with, that’s what it was before all this.

Tom Turpin’s grave is in St. L, but Joplin’s grave is in NY. I went back and found your comments yesterday — it’s a sad bit of history lost to time.
From a perceptual viewpoint, it’s weird how I blanked on the difference between St. L of Joplin’s time (1905?) and today. I’ve flipped by things a zillion times and never connected them. Have you been to Joplin’s house? Is it a nice museum? Were I ever to spend time in St. L, ragtime would be on my mind whether or not it was practical.
When it came to putting in U.S. highways and the interstate system, the federal government was not sentimental about history or respectful of continuity. STL got carved up, and several neighborhoods still haven’t recovered.

Our governor here in Utah is announcing his decision tomorrow on mandatory mask wearing for the state. He has resisted thus far, but is under extreme pressure from different organizations to violate the constitution and make us slaves to the Covid. I called his office twice – friends and family have called also. I will keep you posted as to whether or not we join comrades in California or remain a free state. So far, 201 deaths in Utah with 87 of those belonging to care facilities. Of the 387,760 C19 tests conducted so far, only 7% were positive, yet the SLC Chamber insists we need to mask up. It’s all smoke and mirrors….And yes, the lovely lady with the PSA announcement is AMAZING!!! Thanks for posting that, DP!
I’ve been thinking about DeWine’s Ohio mask policy, where he’s basically making cities and counties responsible for whether masks are mandated by how low they get their numbers. If they keep the numbers high, they get the masks they seem to want. If the numbers are low, no masks.
Not only was this very “Trump Doctrine”, and smart politics, but I think it’s basically giving people what they want. Deep Blue Virus Zones get their masks. Red Freedom Zones don’t.

Abbott set the limit too low, and the net too wide. So did DeWine, but not as bad as Abbott.
I like the judge thing for escaping counties, but it’s useless with Dem judges. That’s why allowing city governments to escape counties is the best, to free red suburbs from blue city-overwhelmed counties.
If DeWine had allowed CITIES within COUNTIES to escape from bad counties if their results were good, THEN it would have been a near-complete defanging of Brennan masks.

This is what Parsons did in Missouri. Unfortunately, we have a machine Democrat for a county executive.
I visited my optometrist for new glasses he did not wear a mask and I did not have to wear a mask. The staff was loose wearing the mask and took them off when speaking. We have no rules wearing a mask where I live people do as they like.
I really do not care if someone wears a mask or not it is not an issue for me.
De Wine has been OK through this virus fiasco.
I went for an eye test a few days ago.
Only 3 customers are allowed at a time. They ensure this by keeping the door locked. They have installed a doorbell.
While I waited outside (good weather, fortunately), I read a notice they posted about alcohol washes that self-combust in the heat when left in a car. ‘Several vehicles have already caught fire.’
Once inside, I couldn’t go up to the desk, but had to stand two metres away from it to a) make an appointment and b) pay on the day. The woman behind the counter was v. happy when I produced a contactless card.
I had to wear a mask, the charge for which was tacked on to my final bill. My optician wore a mask.
The drinks machines were off limits.
I stood while waiting for my exam, although they invited me to have a seat.
On my way out afterwards, the woman behind the desk said to me, ‘Thank you. Welcome to the new normal.’ She smiled.
I said, ‘I doubt these arrangements will be in place next year at this time.’
She stopped smiling.
Oddly, the neighbouring opticians doesn’t have regulations like this. They just ask that you call for an appointment. They also deliver your specs to your home.

I had to go through the same when I had a haircut. I did take my mask off just so the hair cutter could see if both sides of my hair had the same length. I participated in the kabuki because I did not want them to be shut down.

I tested myself with a thin “social” (fashion) mask and an oximeter, and I discovered that (1) I compensate by breathing deeper, and (2) my oxygen levels stay healthy. My CO2 levels are probably going wacky slowly, due to long, deep breathing, but I can’t claim hypoxia with that [useless] mask.
Sometimes I just wear my oximeter instead of a mask, if I venture into blue zones – people get it – but if possible, I just social-distance and “surface distance” instead. Part of the reason is that I now enjoy not getting colds and sniffles, which are nasty with my bad lungs. Yeah, maybe I’m turning into Howard Hughes, but it works – I enjoy the disease-free life now.
I may just turn into a bit of a hermit. Internet’s all the socializing I need. 😉

After I had my bout with cover it took a long time fo me to feel somewhat normal. I had tired issues but all the green tea and vitamins and healthy eating I have come through.
Being a hermit is not all that bad I enjoy it and have more time to be creative and reflective.
Good thoughts, Wolf. We got the verdict today – no state wide mask mandate except for Salt Lake and Summit Counties, but ALL CHILDREN ages K – 12 MUST wear masks while on school property. So, we take the least vulnerable and penalize them the most. Makes lots of sense, doesn’t it. I swear, I have never been more convinced in my life that politicians are some of the dumbest people I know…..

Yesterday I hand delivered a folder to our mayor’s office with a cover letter, two articles from doctors plus a more lengthy article from several medical references with links regarding why masks are not the answer to COVID. I underlined the salient facts in yellow to make it easier.
I requested that all City Council members be given copies and required to sign off they had done their homework and read the materials before any discussion and/or action regarding mandatory masks. I emphasized, as our representatives, we expect them to do their research and not treat the issue as a political one based on peer pressure and simply do what they see other groups doing.
DH said, my efforts will probably be ignored and the folder will go into the waste basket without ever being read by any City Council, and it might be true, but at least I tried and couldn’t live with myself if I hadn’t given it my best effort.
Follow up! I just received an email from one of the newest Council members stating that she read all the materials I delivered yesterday and totally agrees with them. She further stated that decisions such as this need to be made with facts not fear and the information I provided confirms that.
Needless to say, I am delighted at least one Council member took the time to do her homework and delighted she reached out to me in response.
Makes the effort worthwhile! Doing a happy dance here.

When I did my student teaching in a high school to get a teaching certificate (in a school with an overwhelming college acceptance rate), I very quickly came to that same conclusion. Basically, it was the unambitious, the mediocre, hanging in for the benefits teachers that remained. (Gross generalization, I know, and apologies to the truly dedicated ones that loved to educate.)
Michael pointed out that vaccines for non-lethal illnesses are not prioritized. I think that is because vaccines can be lethal and you don’t want a cure that’s worse than the disease.
THIS is huge. The left will attack this point, but if it is kept solid, it will KILL mandatory vaccination.

Unfortunately, our city name is also the county name , which happens to be the largest county in the state. So, daily headlines do not make a distinction between the two and makes it appear all the cases are in our town rather than throughout the county.

My understanding is that 15% of common colds are some sort of coronavirus. The other 85% are from rhinoviruses.

Every time the phone OS is updated it will be automatically turned back on. So you get the benefits of 2.4 GHz radiation (same frequency as your microwave oven) without even knowing it.
If you want the resource of being able to call, but not the hassle of being tracked you can turn off phone, seal in an aluminum foil pouch, and then place on a very bouncy platform in your vehicle. The foil is because “off” doesn’t always mean OFF. The bouncy platform is because internal gyroscope like mechanisms try to estimate your position even when all radios are off. I don’t know if the bouncy platform would work, but it seems like an interesting tactic. The foil certainly works when the on/off button is just a suggestion for some phones.
We don’t have a microwave, either. Not since the new cabinets were put in.
I have to have the phone on all the time due to family drama, but would do the foil trick if we still had a land line. I could not get the other people in this house to understand that we just needed to change the phone number, not rip the thing out.

If you aren’t particular about the incoming number, it’s $2.95/month for the incoming, plus about $5/mo for 911 (required). Outgoing service can be by the minute or bulk.

Seeking clarification:
There is a test for COVID-19 to see if you have WuFlu, and there is a different test to see if you have antibodies, right? It looks to me as if the quoted material from the CDC refers to the antibody test, not the COVID-19 test. But the point is that you can test positive for WuFlu antibodies when you have had a cold and not necessarily WuFlu.
So this statement — “CDC admits COVID-19 ‘positive result’ just means you’ve previously contracted the “’common cold’” — refers just to the antibody test, not the WuFlu test? And we can’t say that if you test positive for WuFlu, you might have just had a cold instead. But we can say that if you take an antibody test and get a positive result, that might just be because you had a cold at some point — if I’m understanding correctly. It’s all a little 😳.

So much conflicting info out there. It is not clear that they have kept the PCR testing data separate from any other type of testing. PCR only looks for fragments of the coronavirus DNA. That could lead to what is described above. People falsely positive because the fragments found were from a different coronavirus.
Seen reports of them mixing the tests together to drive up numbers. Most websites say Total Tests. Our county website differentiates totals between the 2 types. But when officials and media discuss, they don’t distinguish, which is misleading. Just like hospitalizations. They’re sensationalizing high numbers for hospital and ICU beds, but they neglect to say what percentage is COVID vs NON. COVID % is low. Majority of beds are taken by people who put off treatment due to shutdowns. They also don’t tell you that hospitals like to run 80-90% full, that’s how they make money. Take away the election, take away Government reimbursement, maybe then we could get honest data?

Rereading the CDC statements, they are talking about anti-body testing, not PCR testing. I guess they both have the same problem. Not specific enough to be able to tell difference between the bad, evil plague version and the common cold version of the virus.
This is so bogus. It is really turning out that I was right – this is simply WEAK CORONA NUMBER 5 being added to the other four. It’s even so much like the old ones, that IMMUNITY was provided for many people (and maybe especially children) by the old ones (i.e., “no immunity” was a LIE). And now DETECTION is interfered with by the old ones.

Note also that one of the antibody tests back in March and April claimed to ONLY detect COVID-19 – it got ZERO false positives from pre-COVID-19 blood samples. WHY are we not using that one? IMO, it’s because it was a small company, and not big pharma. This is actually potentially a huge scandal. That test was GOOD. Why are we not using it? Did CDC and FDA intentionally pick big money fail tests, rather than small money working tests? Is TESTING messed up like REMDESIVIR being picked over HCQ?

Because the FDA and CDC clusterfarked the original testing so badly (according to the dictates of their CCP masters), VSGPOTUSDJT had to throw it wide open to privately developed testing regimens. EVERY ONE OF THEM HAS ITS OWN ERROR PROFILE. So you really need to know what brand of test was administered, what type of test it was, and what potential errors it might report……for every test.
Things could be worse, we could be stuck with the CDC, which is still trying to find its b***hole with both hands.

My water heater igniter died and of course I didnt realize it until kiddo’s bath time. Chilly baths for us but glad its summer! My water heater is about 5 weeks shy of 6 years old. Is this common now? No more 10 year or 12 year wster heaters? I think parts might still be on warranty.
I just did a research dive into this topic last year when my 13 yr old water heater failed. I could have taken it apart, cleaned it up, replaced a cheap part and hoped it would last longer. Almost did that.
Newer water heaters are notorious for failures as they now have “smarts” in them for “energy saving.” I decided (since I didn’t plan to move house in the coming years) to pay full price for a very good plumbing company to take the risk of a “install fail” because they can take it back to the wholesale supplier and get a replacement easier than I can. I asked a friend in the business what brand they have the least trouble with and that’s what I bought. Came with a 5 year warranty. You could pay more for a 10 year warranty, but it’s the same unit. Just longer coverage.

Thats what I thought. Bummer. The plumber who installed did a good job and put the install date etc on it but he’s left the area. I have to call the new plumber tomorrow am. I just hope the parts are covered and get them quick.
Similar problem yesterday when the microwave didn’t heat. Ours is a GE Advantium, not just a microwave…it also cooks with high intensity lights…and horrendously expensive…but I love and use it constantly, this is my second one after leaving the first one in the previous house. Sure would hate to replace it if it is even manufactured any longer. Repairman coming NEXT Thursday…have my doubts he’s ever worked on one of these.
Hoping for the best outcome but bracing for a big decision to make. Meanwhile, will start doing my homework. Sigh

We ditched our microwave oven years ago. Mostly over health concerns about the inflammatory effects of denatured protiens after zapping with 2.4 GHz waves.
A convection style large countertop “toaster” oven has it’s old spot on the counter. We cook more on the stove top and the foods taste better sauteed or simmered. 🙂
When our water heater broke almost 25 years ago a friend who worked for the electric company suggested to rent one from the electric company for very little per month. They installed a big heater never broke. They will install a new one if it breaks and I have no hassle.
I like flash heater they have in Germany a small unit in the bathroom and kitchen. I have one in the kitchen makes boiling water in a sap for tea.
The “on-demand” or flash heater is what I have, and I love it. Never ending hot water is the best.

If that’s really what it is, it’s just a part and should be replaced. The one everybody misses (because nobody stays in their houses that long) is that there is a long metal “anode” rod that should replaced every 10 years or so if you want your water heater to live forever. That said, the anode costs about 15% of the cost of the water heater…..
We got a new water heater for other reasons about 15 years ago, and about 5 years ago I lost interest in maintaining this place in favor of relocation. But if you’re at about 8 years since the water heater was changed in a place you expect to be a couple of decades more, change the anode.
I looked through the manual and saw that. Going to have the sediment drained out too. I got the igniter to light, then waited about 30 seconds, when I turned the heater up it went poof and died. At least I watched it and the little indicator flashed long enough for me to see it.
Igniters eventually wear down, and, depending on the design (and materials) can be adjusted or the parts replaced. Our old gas furnace was pushing 30 years on, before the green-mandated replacement made us get a new one. In those 30 years, we had the igniter(s) replaced about four times. The last time, the semi-clueless repair guy put in ones that were too long, and they melted a bit, then shorted out (which popped the internal fuse, but the repair guy had to cover that).
The only thing that might be an issue is (at least over here) with gas appliances, the utility has to “bless” the repair, as it were. Probably the insurance companies taking their cut. So only “approved” maintainers can swap out parts “in the line of fire”, so to speak… (yeah, I know, appliance Karens)…
If you have the model number, mfg. date, and S/N, you can probably look up the service manual, and then the part number of the igniter, then find a price, etc. for it. Then at least you have some bargaining infos when dealing with repair folks…
10 years is a long time for an anode (and getting one out that old will be a pain). Depends on how hard your water is, or if you have a water softener upstream of your water heater. Good luck! Six years isn’t that old… I remember AO Smith used to have 5, 10, and 15 (maybe 20-) year models, Glass-lined, too…
There has to be enough “head room” above the water heater for a replacement anode rod to be inserted…
They make flexible (and ultra-flexible) ones for that case (or the tank can be drained, pipes disconnected, whole thing leaned over, rod replaced, re-assemble, etc.). Interesting, too, are the different materials that can be used, and the usage cases – e.g. odor or adding magnesium (or zinc) to the water… or even an extra rod on the outlet port…

Appliance karens, dont give newsom any ideas. Its an AO smith. Their warranties start at 6 yrs saw 2 for 12 years but the price jumped a lot.
If the water heater is easily accessed (not in attic), draining a bit is simple. Run a hose from water heater to driveway or wherever safe for hot water to flow.
Annually I drain mine for 45 – 60 seconds. Hope is it flushes much of the sediment away.
Have changed anode on travel trailer. Will look into anode in home water heater.

I haven’t had any experience with the tankless heaters, but 6 years seems like a really short lifespan for either type.

The thing about tankless water heaters is that they need something like 200K BTU gas piping (or some ungodly number of Amps) to work. This is different enough from your regular system that you’d notice.

I have 2 Rinnai Gas tankless water heaters. (Electrics aren’t good imo).
LOVE them! Endless Hot water. Only works when you need it. Does not have a tank full of water that needs to be constantly heated (Energy efficient). Uses a 3/4″ Gas line for hookup. needs flushed out once a year (If you want it to last). I will never go back to the “Tanks”.
If you are planning to move house in next couple years, a repair is probably the least expensive, but will still be pricey unless you DIY. My new water heater really is saving me money and never seems to run out of hot water. But it was a big chunk of cash all at once.
Repair right now is what we need to do. Replace is not in the budget but we will do as needed.
My last water heater lasted slightly more than six years, but my area also has a severe hard water problem that probably reduced its lifespan. Hope you’re able to get the whole thing resolved quickly and cheaply.
You all are making me paranoid. Our hot water heater, gas with no electronics, is 25+ years old. So are the furnace and AC units (both are Trane).
Just the thought of trying to get to the hot water heater right now…I need to clean out more of the basement.

Some people do get a real long lifespan on the older hot water heaters. 30 years is not uncommon.
A few years back I had a HVAC guy that was good at gas furnace servicing take apart my 1960s furnace innards and clean out all the rust flakes and such. Three years ago I had all the old rigid metal duct work replaced with better insulated flex tube ducts. The house heats up so much faster in the winter now. Sometimes older is better.

OK – saw all the posts on water heaters. Going to disagree on the tankless posts. Best move we ever made. But only do it with gas – not electric. Electric does not work near as well and has more repair issues. We bought the high efficiency largest Rheem version. Takes up far less space than a tank. The noise when it fires up is like the noise when your tank version fires up. You open the faucet for hot and it may take a couple seconds longer to get hot water, but not much. It uses the same natural gas piping as the rest of the house uses. What you have to make sure of is your gas meter is sized large enough capacity to handle all of your uses at the same time. That is not on you, that is on your gas supplier to provide. They want the use of their gas, so they will provide a larger one if necessary. We are running a gas furnace, gas fireplace logs, and a gas grill on ours in addition to the tankless.
They are pricey on the cost, but well worth it. Including a lot of piping installed, an exterior exhaust fan (not needed in many situations), and the largest product it cost around $2300. The installers will install an intake/exhaust pipe to the outside in addition to the gas line and water lines. Our unit is located in our mechanical room in the interior of the house. Once a year or so you check the water supply filter to make sure there is no gunk in it and that the gas cylinder is providing blue gas through a small window in the unit. If it is firing yellow or orange it needs cleaning, so you call your HVAC contractor or installer in to take care of it like you would a furnace. In our 5 years of using it we have not needed a service call. I check the water supply filter annually and it is always clean and easy to do – 5 minutes tops. The gas is firing blue – no issues. There is an electronic control that turns the unit on or off as well as sets the temperature. That’s it.
Over time the unit pays for itself with gas bill savings and you would be amazed at how it cuts your bill subject to how much hot water you use and the tank size. Some utilities even provide credits for converting. The peace of mind of not having water tank leaks and needing maintenance/repairs/clean up while you are away from home is immeasurable. Always go with a size larger than you think you need. It will heat the water quicker and the extra cost is nominal. When there are multiple users of hot water going at the same time you want to have enough capacity to handle it.
So you dont think putting in two would be better? Id been told say 1 for upstairs 1 for appliances? 1 big one seems easier. We will have to see if it gets the that point. We dont have sola . And everyone who does switches to electric. I have gas appliances and dont want electric.
Gas tankless is the way to go. I have 2. One near the laundry and kitchen and the other near the master bathroom. almost instant hot water this way. (no need for the water to make a long run) also if one does go down, we still have the other until repairs are made.
I think we will do that when its time.
So my heater AO Smith had a bunch of recalls on them bc the heater gas screens were defective, prob made in China, and allowed gas to accumulate and cause explosion. Apparently my installer made a claim against my water heater and after charging my install full price got money from the manufacturer which voided my warranty. He no longer has a license! Thank God I had my receipt so they had to honor my warranty. Took 3 different customer reps and the 3rd said this specific WH wasnt on the recall but was doing the exact same thing and under 6 yrs old. They paid for the repair and part. The gas screen had 2 huge holes in it.

There was a BIG discussion on twitter earlier in the week about the voice used for the text during the fireworks at Mount Rushmore. I have a thing for recognizing voices. My mother and I just do. Well, I listened to the video of the voice over at the monument, and one of JFK, Jr…it was the same voice. It was. When it was taped is the question. It could have been something done in the 90s, but I doubt it.
There are so many things about the plane crash that are just not kosher. One, it supposedly happened at night, so there are no witnesses. There are no leaked photographs, just documents which can be faked. The narrative is the bodies were cremated and the ashes scattered at sea. But, and here’s where the tell is, the ashes were put in TIFFANY BLUE boxes.
There’s some code or symbol about Tiffany blue. At JFK’s funeral, Jr. and Caroline were dressed in Tiffany blue. The picture frame Melania Trump gave to Michelle Obama was from Tiffany and in a Tiffany Blue box. President Trump named one of his daughters Tiffany. Tiffany just keeps coming up, and I can’t find anything on the surface of the jewelers, or the glass artist to indicate why this might be.
All the way around, if it turns out that the JFK Jr. plane crash was the start of the plan rolling, when they started putting personnel in place and recruiting help, and it was faked to get the enemy to think they were in the cat bird seats….

The incident occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m., when Border Patrol agents assigned to Dome Valley conducted a vehicle stop on a 2019 Dodge Charger along Interstate 8. Agents determined the female driver was a DACA recipient and the front seat passenger was illegally present in the United States. Two additional illegal aliens were discovered hiding in the trunk.
The 21-year-old DACA recipient, whose status had expired, was residing in San Bernardino, California. The smuggled subjects were all male Mexican citizens and ranged in age from 28-52 years old.
All were processed for immigration violations.

The judge took the extreme step of ordering the evidence destroyed. ..which begs the questions, Does a judge have the right to destroy evidence? Are there duplicates in the hands of others? Can this decision be appealed? The article doesn’t explore these and other questions.

In Trump v. Vance, the attempt by New York to subpoena President Trump’s financial records as part of a state criminal investigation was upheld by a 7-2 majority.
As much as I want the President to be protected from frivolous and malicious state actions, I also dislike the mantle of nobility that so many in Washington wear, although it is obviously a politically motivated subpoena, and to think otherwise seems silly. But we live in silly times, and the Supreme Court is not immune to unserious actions. Perhaps they could have held that the attempt was transparently political and denied it without creating a precedent that would allow any government entity to harass a sitting president with ridiculous demands and suits and subpoenas.
Unfortunately we have as a Chief Justice an overtly political hack; a deep-state operative who runs the court as an arm of his personal political beliefs and feelings, one of which is that he dislikes the President.

When you’re counting all the contacts of a single case as “probable” and immediately adding these “probables” into the case count, a single case is now 15 cases. There are a lot of influential thinkers on this forum, so I made sure to put together a thoughtful response contrary to the positive comments and point arguing about French’s anti-Trumpism.

I am hesitant to frame the conversation in the terms David French does, as a form of zero sum game between a thesis, a reactionary anti-thesis, and a need for voices to come together in synthesis. In particular his criticism of conservatives, especially WRT the “alt-right” is at this late date less than fair or honest.
I would rather challenge the framing of the thesis itself and counter the thesis than react against it. One of the core sticking points for me is the unfair declaration that conservatives reject the concept of systemic racism. Oh heck no – thanks to decades of anti-family, so-called “anti-crime”, anti-economic “welfare” policies, improper policing, drug policy, etc etc etc we are reaping the fruit of a whirlwind of policies that, frankly, the same conservatives French laments as the whole did not subscribe to.
Part of that is the false dichotomy on criminal justice reform between “tough on crime” and “reform” movements where conservatives are always maneuvered into this “tough on crime” corner. Most of us on this forum are big fans criminal justice reform and we’re well aware that much more work needs to be done. A man in prison has no chance to be a present and intentional father to his children, or get the job experience and opportunities he needs to be successful. After he is out of prison the risk of recidivism is huge because an ex-con does not have economic opportunities. Most of us here want to dynamite the unfair barriers that have kept ex-cons out of the workforce. One set of statistics I saw showed only 3% of whites and 2% of blacks are able to find work after prison. That’s pretty bleak for both races even if there is a disparity there.
Further frustrating is that conservatives just don’t live in the right precincts in large enough numbers to sway policy toward Biblical justice. Corrupt politicians are not held to account. Police unions feed money to political campaigns from their dues money, and negotiate for standards that make it almost impossible to enforce standards for police behavior. The few bad cops end up being unaccountable and they set the tone down for the rest of the department. Quality of policing drops as the police are demoralized, and the community suffers as crimes go undeterred. Simple things like quality of life policing and preventing graffiti are abandoned, in large part by politicians who use department policy to make it harder for police to do a good job. When this happens in minority voting districts this is systemic racism in the form of structural corruption and it is not politically correct to speak of it.
Not every problem affecting race comes down to public policy, but the fact remains that bad public policies remain the overwhelming elephant in the room that prevents racial minorities from flourishing and rising to meet their God-given potential. Fixing public policy problems won’t heal the spiritual problems, but when dad can come back to his family, when dad can have the dignity of a sustainable job, he actually has the opportunity for the first time to be the dad he was meant to be, to attend church, and allow God to work in his life.
French never mentions God, the church, religion, only making passing mention of religious institutions. What of salvation and redemption? Likewise French may complain about a “conservative political correctness” but as far as I can tell he’s only talking about conservationism in the most caricatured of terms which don’t reflect the breadth of conservative thought on the matter.
Why anybody would give ten minutes of time to David French is beyond me.

A total of 236 bigoted words were removed from the official Scrabble word list used at tournaments — in order to make the game friendlier to all types of people, The North American Scrabble Players Association. said Wednesday.
“Removing slurs is the very least that we can do to make our association more inclusive,” NASPA CEO John Chew said in a statement. “How can we in this day tell prospective members that they can only play with us if they accept that offensive slurs have no meaning when played on a board?”

#new Judge Emmett Sullivan requests en banc hearing, meaning he wants the full circuit court of appeals to hear the #MichaelFlynn matter. The three judge panel ruled 2-1 last month that Sullivan should drop the case.
#more #Sullivan is not ready to drop the case, and wants the entire 11 judge panel to decide the matter.
DC Circuit federal appeals court in coming days/weeks will decide whether to grant the request for en banc hearing.
If granted, then an oral argument date would be set, perhaps for the fall. A ruling at some point would then be issued. No real deadline for the appeals court to decide.
#more If denied, Judge Sullivan would then have the option of asking #Scotus to intervene, either on an emergency basis or through the regular appeals process, something that could takes months to resolve.
If #Scotus ultimately declines to get involved, or the district court judge declines to ask for #Scotus review, then the issue goes back to the judge, who presumably would comply with the appeals court’s initial ruling to grant the DOJ motion to dismiss.

It’s not pretty, that’s for sure. My brother’s life is hell right now.
Big Med wants us to be on the fear scale at 10+ with the “Big C” in order to gain compliance. I’ve known some that kicked that to the curb and thrived through lifestyle (DIET/etc) changes. I also have known a few that walked away from conventional treatment and did not do well. Praying that the spirit of fear is broken and the wisdom/grace/peace of God rules in your family.

Even though my gut said this was not any different than any other flu seasons I conformed to what they were saying, Mask and all! Turned out I was one of those that could not wear a mask, not because of medical issues, I just couldn’t!, it restricted my breathing,
Then came the first opening, almost immediately followed by the Floyd Hoax and the riots, Riots mind you that not only were the Democratic leaders allowing but supporting Can’t remember really what was first, them trying to close us down again, or the Trump Rally announcement. However that was when I said enough, I not only can’t wear a mask, but I refuse to wear a mask.
