Oddly enough, Ted Nugent was one of the first rock concerts I ever saw live. At the Cow Palace in San Francisco, around 1980, with the Scorpions opening. Nobody knew the Scorpions from a hot rock going in, but the audience kept calling for encore after encore until the promoter had to pull the plug on them. Our group had all driven up from the University of Casual Sun-Bathing for the show and were crashing with various families who were local.
Just got back to it, and I think John James is speaking. At least I think that’s his name. He told the people, “You gotta show up in seven days. Democrats are showing up.”

FLOTUS did a speech, about 18 minutes, that was introduced by KellyAnne Conway for about 30 minutes. There’s vid at OT. It’s very clear that she’s using teleprompters and is unused to it…..and, IIRC, English isn’t her first language…..or second, third, or fourth….and reading things in your fifth language is bound to have some stumbles.
She seems somewhat surprised each time when audience reaction swamps the speech, and is visibly moved by the bond that rapidly forms. I suspect the speech was largely written by Stephen Miller, who well knows the esteem in which FLOTUS is held — and I suspect that part of what it was written for was to demonstrate to FLOTUS the power of MAGA.
It leaned hard on “our history, our ideals, our values, our virtues, our nation”…..and showed a very American characteristic — there is not the slightest hint of “but you just got here.” Instead, it is understood that you heard the siren song in your native land and became American in spirit…..then, just had to work out the logistics.
The crowd loved her, respected her, hung on her words, and responded enthusiastically to everything she said. I suspect she’s still in shock.

College students will vote but they will vote at home and less in university towns where their numbers historically have affected local and state election http://outcomes.By voting from their homes their impact is diluted.

When I voted yesterday at one of the County’s designated “Early or Absentee” polls, the Poll Mgr. set my machine for my precinct polling place… which imho reduces the risk of someone voting using my name on ED. Why isn’t this done at University “Early” voting places??? Why is someone who is NOT considered a “Resident” of the place they are voting, allowed to vote on local (to University) matters?

I still love Pence. He’s a master of the subtle fight, and he has MAGA’s back! So EVEN if we fall to “establishmentarian succession”, Pence is still a GREAT choice, and a likely MERIT WINNER of a primary circus like 2016. That would mean get 8 from Pence, and THEN get 8 from Noem or similar. HUGE longevity to MAGA that way.
Wait until all the evidence drops on the Dems. I think it may create some overconfidence at some point. We will have to be careful to stay frosty – the foreign influence will come at us in a new way – likely seduction of Republicans by SOMEBODY. But play smart, and MAGA plays LONG.
Hi all… A little ground report from the Omaha rally! We had to wait a little bit as a President was running late… It was cold, people were happy all 29,000 that were there! Many of them teenagers and young kids! We commented on how many young children we saw there and how unbelievably enthusiastic they were which I think bodes well for the GOP in the future!
Sat right behind the president( yes was on TV a lot😬)and it was so cool to look out and see the mass of humanity in red! Kristi Noem was unbelievable in real life, Governor Ricketts was outstanding, Congressman Don Bacon was pretty good and Deb Fischer was great! Even better Ben Sasse wasn’t there…… And according to an employee that I spoke with in a food line 🤦🏻♀️ With the Douglas County RNC, Ben Sasse was not even invited to attend.
I think it was a smart move for the president to come to Omaha, it was a help to Joni Ernst who according to the RNC guy that I spoke with her internals look pretty good. It definitely helps congressman Bacon as he represents district 2 which is Omaha. Omaha is really pretty much split 50-50 Rs and D’s. Congressmen Bacon is the incumbent and is running against a self avowed socialist named Kara Eastman ( she makes Crazy Uncle Bernie look sane). His internals, according to my RNC food guy, look pretty good for a return trip to DC.
For those of you that don’t know Nebraska has a split electoral system like Maine. There are three congressional districts and the winner of each congressional district get an electoral vote. Then whoever wins the popular vote in Nebraska gets two electoral votes for a total of 5 for the state. District 2 gave Obama one EV when he ran🤮😢😭.
Talked with Lots of folks from South Dakota and Iowa. Strong move by Trump campaign to make a visit here….Smart move…
When we were leaving, we talked to some police officers that said at 6:30 they had to shut down the venue and stop people from coming in and they think they were thousand maybe 10,000 that wanted to get in that couldn’t get in. There was truly an insane amount of people out on a very cold “school” night. Worth every moment to watch Air Force One touchdown with the city of Omaha in the background and to see again live, the once-in-a-lifetime President Trump that we all appreciate and love so much.
