Palm Sunday

When Jesus was about thirty years old, He started His three year ministry to the Jewish people. During His ministry He traveled extensively through what should be called Israel, and also into southern Lebanon and western Syria.

He performed many miracles: healing the deaf, blind and dumb, lepers, paralytics and the diseases of a very large number of people that the ensuing crowds brought to him. He ordered demons out of people and raised several others from the dead. He turned water into wine, calmed the storm, walked on water, fed thousands from a few loaves and fish, and caused large catches of fish. As per John, Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.

But Jesus did not come just to perform miracles.

Preaching the truth about the kingdom of God and how one may receive it by trusting only in Christ formed the bulk of His message, and this message of faith and repentance surpassed all of Jesus’ miracles in terms of importance. Note, however, that this message cannot be separated from His work of atonement. Jesus “came to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:1–10), and this salvation comes through the pouring out of His blood “for many for the forgiveness of sins” (Matt. 26:26–29). In coming to preach the gospel of God, Jesus came to preach Himself. He came as both the messenger and the message—without the atonement, there is no good news to proclaim.

Jesus purpose in coming, then, was to proclaim that the kingdom of God has come near, and so all should repent and believe the good news. What good news? The news that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever trusts in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. And He came to be rejected and die as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sin, and then rise again on the third day to give us our hope for our eternal future. Or, again, as reported by John, these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Palm Sunday is the day we celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, one week before His resurrection (Matthew 21:1–11). As Jesus entered the holy city, He neared the culmination of a long journey toward Golgotha. He had come to save the lost (Luke 19:10), and now was the time—this was the place—to secure that salvation. Palm Sunday marked the start of what is often called “Passion Week,” the final seven days of Jesus’ earthly ministry. Palm Sunday was the “beginning of the end” of Jesus’ work on earth.

Palm Sunday began with Jesus and His disciples traveling over the Mount of Olives. The Lord sent two disciples ahead into the village of Bethphage to find an animal to ride. They found the unbroken colt of a donkey, just as Jesus had said they would (Luke 19:29–30). When they untied the colt, the owners began to question them. The disciples responded with the answer Jesus had provided: “The Lord needs it” (Luke 19:31–34). Amazingly, the owners were satisfied with that answer and let the disciples go. “They brought [the donkey] to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it” (Luke 19:35).

As Jesus ascended toward Jerusalem, a large multitude gathered around Him. This crowd understood that Jesus was the Messiah; what they did not understand was that it wasn’t time to set up the kingdom yet—although Jesus had tried to tell them so (Luke 19:11–12). The crowd’s actions along the road give rise to the name “Palm Sunday”: “A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road” (Matthew 21:8). In strewing their cloaks on the road, the people were giving Jesus the royal treatment—King Jehu was given similar honor at his coronation (2 Kings 9:13). John records the detail that the branches they cut were from palm trees (John 12:13).

On that first Palm Sunday, the people also honored Jesus verbally: “The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David!’ / ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’ / ‘Hosanna in the highest heaven!’” (Matthew 21:9). In their praise of Jesus, the Jewish crowds were quoting Psalm 118:25–26, an acknowledged prophecy of the Christ. The allusion to a Messianic psalm drew resentment from the religious leaders present: “Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, ‘Teacher, rebuke your disciples!’” (Luke 19:39). However, Jesus saw no need to rebuke those who told the truth. He replied, “I tell you . . . if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out” (Luke 19:40).

Some 450 to 500 years prior to Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem, the prophet Zechariah had prophesied the event we now call Palm Sunday: “Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! / Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! / See, your king comes to you, / righteous and victorious, / lowly and riding on a donkey, / on a colt, the foal of a donkey” (Zechariah 9:9). The prophecy was fulfilled in every particular, and it was indeed a time of rejoicing, as Jerusalem welcomed their King. Unfortunately, the celebration was not to last. The crowds looked for a Messiah who would rescue them politically and free them nationally, but Jesus had come to save them spiritually. First things first, and mankind’s primary need is spiritual, not political, cultural, or national salvation.

Even as the coatless multitudes waved the palm branches and shouted for joy, they missed the true reason for Jesus’ presence. They could neither see nor understand the cross. That’s why, “as [Jesus] approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, ‘If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies . . . will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you” (Luke 19:41–47). It is a tragic thing to see the Savior but not recognize Him for who He is. The crowds who were crying out “Hosanna!” on Palm Sunday were crying out “Crucify Him!” later that week (Matthew 27:22–23).

There is coming a day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10–11). The worship will be real then. Also, John records a scene in heaven that features the eternal celebration of the risen Lord: “There before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands” (Revelation 7:9, emphasis added). These palm-bearing saints will shout, “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb” (verse 10), and who can measure sum of their joy?

Something I’d like to emphasize here from the above: Jesus came to save man spiritually. Mankind’s primary need is spiritual, not political, cultural, or national salvation. Jesus did not come to restore the political power that the Romans had wrested from the rulers of Israel. He did not come to restore and ensure the cultural heritage of the Jewish people. He did not come to save Israel as a nation and restore her to a place of prominence among the nations. Jesus came to reconcile sinful man with a holy God and to give man hope for his eternal future.

And so it is today. Jesus’ purpose does not include the correction of a fraudulent election that has stolen the political power that was intended to be of the people, by the people and for the people. He did not come to ensure the continuation of freedom, justice and what we have come to call the American Way. He did not come to restore America’s position as a leader for what’s right and good among the world’s nations . . . a position that the traitors in charge are trying to subvert to globalism and leftist corruption. God may yet have America’s political, cultural, and national restoration in His plan, but Jesus came to reconcile sinful man with a holy God and to give man hope for his eternal future.

And, as given in Matthew 6:33, we are to seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness first, and what we need in life will be given to us as well. God must come first and God, at the last, wins!

On this day and every day –

God is in Control
. . . and His Grace is Sufficient, so . . .
Keep Looking Up

Hopefully, every Sunday, we can find something here that will build us up a little . . . give us a smile . . . and add some joy or peace, very much needed in all our lives.

“This day is holy to the Lord your God;
do not mourn nor weep.” . . .
“Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet,
and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared;
for this day is holy to our Lord.
Do not sorrow,
for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

AMEN!!!

A critical point:

And so it is today. Jesus’ purpose does not include the correction of a fraudulent election that has stolen the political power that was intended to be of the people, by the people and for the people. He did not come to ensure the continuation of freedom, justice and what we have come to call the American Way. He did not come to restore America’s position as a leader for what’s right and good among the world’s nations . . . a position that the traitors in charge are trying to subvert to globalism and leftist corruption. Thank you for providing such a clear statement of this!

I’m not sure I buy that. That kind of indifference to human life by the soldiers doesn’t just happen overnight. That is a long time in the making. Just standing there while the man is on the ground is a callousness that is unimaginable to me.

singingsoul1

Just think these soldiers come out of our communities are part of our society and culture. We need to ask what has gone wrong in our society to produce people who are indifferent to a dead person before them?
The other is are they only fallowing orders? Who gave those orders?

Here are the examples lack of church structure to Christian values and lack of family structures to enforce values and instill character.
We need to begin from the bottom, family, Church and work on character building. We need to be an example. In the past grandparents were great in all of these things but with the nuclear family structure and family spread around the country for many it is hard to do.

Aubergine

Agreed.

Maybe that’s part of the DC “occupation” plan. Get them ready to arrest gun owners.

The Church, Synagogue or any other religion is the anchor in society if it is not corrupted so we do not become animals.

Thank you, Carl. A beautiful exposition on our Lord and Savior’s mission for mankind.

I feel compelled to pray for all the lost, those who are involved in the occult, witchcraft, Satanism, following false gods–created things rather than the Creator.

Lord, may the Holy Spirit find a mental window open in which to pour Your love and truth, such that they repent and follow You.

Render null and void any spells, imprecations, ill intent that they may harbor for others and may they come to know Your power over all creation.

In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Over the last year, D.C. Police say carjackings have become a major point of concern for their agency. The department said in 2021, 23 juveniles have been arrested in the District for committing that crime.
MPD data shows there have been 95 carjackings in D.C. in 2021. That’s almost three times the amount of carjackings there were in D.C. this same time last year.

No part of present day DC was part of Virginia. Arlington used to be but was given back a long time ago.

Other than that nit, I have no issue with the spirit of the proposal. I’d retain the Mall area, very approximately the area that would be called “the Capital” under the proposal being pushed, and return every residential area to Maryland. But then the 23rd amendment must also be repealed.

gil00

However its done to eliminate the city state.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

It chaps me that that little turd gets three electoral votes.

They live off our tax dollars and complain they don’t get a representative in the House and two Senators. (There is a non-voting “delegate” in the House.)

Well, OK then, move to Maryland, or let Maryland move to you. Leave the Mall area as part of DC, and no one lives there except the current family in the White House–and THEY are always officially residents of a real state anyway.

So at that point it gets run similarly to a national park, except that the wildlife is a lot uglier.

The GOP in Texas is RINO led. Andrew Torba speaks loud and clear:

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Amen. The RINOs will push and push behind the scenes. Too many RINOs.

Grandmaintexas

The RINOs are the majority of the GOP in TX. Older, entrenched, satisfied with the status quo and lacking the will to upset the apple cart.

In fact, they are discomfited at the surge in new and active members. They hardly know what to do with them.

MAGA Mom

Allen West is the Chair of TX GOP and has been extremely outspoken, providing leadership on the issues, including adopting the phrase, “We are the Storm”.

West was elected by 22 of TX’s 31 caucuses – Strong support by TX GOP to elect him knowing he was more conservative and MAGA on the issues than Dickey.

MAGA has been active in the TX GOP and taking it from the GOPe for years before a recent surge in new MAGA GOP activity.

Glad more are now joining and helping MAGA in Texas that has already been working hard since June of 2015. I am sure they welcome the newcomers who have decided to become active and become part of the solution.

Gimlet Eye Grandmaintexas.

Grandmaintexas

I hadn’t heard that in awhile. 😄

MAGA Mom

So, anyone commenting on another state’s politics deserves a side eye? Silly.

More deserving of a side eye are those who flip flop on attacking those encouraging political action to win, or to at least improve current electoral politics, and flip flopping ot posting encouragement to be involved and then making inaccurate sweeping generalizations when getting involved.

How is this helpful?

Why not focus on specifics, such as the newly formed “Texas Republican Initiative” who seem to be GOPe and working hard against MAGA conservatives currently in and leading TX GOP.

Why not focus on the GOP Congressional race in District 6? Who is the MAGA Candidate? Helping them? Supporting them? Vetting which is the MAGA Candidate?

Productive v. unproductive discouragement and inaccurate sweeping generalizations, flip flopping, attacking and then saying the same things over which one attacks others when they say (and have been doing what seems to be a new revelation to some) … side eye on attackers and discouragers

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

IMO, it’s better to just welcome the side-eye, which will bother people into aligning to your perspective, because eventually they have to rationalize WHY you see things the way you do, and the answer is to get into your head.

The bottom line is that a New York Proud Boy is gonna know way more about the Proud Boys in Ohio than I do, and I’ve met them and shaken hands when they protected us from BLM and Antifa.

You know about GOP party structure in certain states in the same way. You know about party internal struggles, same way.

DP can probably tell me more about the Catholics in Ohio and Pennsylvania than any of us who live in those states, just from a higher level of Church involvement.

Choose to accept side-eye as a compliment! I love freaking people out with “unexpected knowledge”. It’s one of the few sins that only gets eyerolls from heaven, as opposed to side-eye. 😉

Speaking of which, I need to work on my next article!

MAGA Mom

Silly response to my reply to your inaccurate sweeping generalizations.

Am I incorrect on my facts? Was he not elected by a significant majority? On what specifics am I incorrect? Or are you just snarking for fun?

Wolf posted about TN and Nash and country music … none of which he is a direct part of to my knowledge. Was his post inappropriate?

Of course not. And neither is mine based simply on the fact I do not leave there.

Unless you are saying we all should only comment on the politics in the states of our legal residence? Is that your implication?

That is upsetting. They are out there and easy spotted because they are now open about it.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Trump and Lindell both need to (IMO) use the positioning of their new platforms as an offensive weapon. The left will try to push the platforms closer to Twitter and Facebook by media manipulations, but at the same time they will bombard Gab and other venues with propaganda about Trump and Lindell betraying the free speech base. If Trump and Lindell are not wary, they will get separated from a critical part of the base.

Trump has smart people – they can actually use this situation not just to DEFEND, but to FIGHT. By being “free speech but not Gab”, whatever that means (which may be simply bullshit, but useful bullshit), they can still attack the controlled left, and offer what people are looking for in new social media.

Parler really tried to position in that space, and the left HATED IT.

I like Gab, but I think Torba called it right – Balkanization is coming – and it’s a GOOD THING.

Grandmaintexas

Agreed. Balkanization will SHOW BOTH SIDES what happens when you demonize over half of America.

Big tech IMO will try to turn gab into the place the “far right extremist ” are.

OT, Wolf, but you might be interested in this hour-long interview with Henry Kissinger from Britain’s Chatham House (notionally Conservative, but squish).

One of our MPs, Jeremy Hunt, leads the discussion. Unfortunately, Dr K had little time for Trump (38-39 mins. in) and says that Brexit restores Britain’s role as the ‘bridge between Europe and the United States’ (41-43 mins. in).

It’s slow going. The man is nearly 100 years old.

https://www.chathamhouse.org/events/all/members-event/future-liberal-democracies-conversation-henry-kissinger

He says early on that he moved to another location for coronavirus purposes in order to write a book on artificial intelligence.

From Wikipedia, he seems to be living in Kent, Connecticut. No, I never heard of it, either, but it seems to be an old school Episcopalian enclave (a couple of us on here are Episcopalian/Anglicans, BTW) but it now seems to be an eclectic mix of residents including not only Kissinger but also Ted Danson and Lana Del Rey, both graduates of the (Episcopal) Kent School in town.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent%2C_Connecticut

On China, Kissinger says that the West needs to have more self-confidence. He does not think that China will dominate in the end.

If you can bear to listen to the whole thing, I’d be interested in your thoughts. Thank you in advance.

This might be one of his last interviews.

Texas politics – 6th district special election

In TN, even for special elections we still have first the primaries for the parties to elect their candidates and then the general elections between the single nominee of the various parties.

In TX, it seems that for the special election there is no primary? If that is accurate it surprises me as I would expect to still have a primary. Confused on this.

Also, there are many GOP candidates, several of whom look good from a distance and without deep investigation. Wondering if, as a Texan, you know which is the best candidate, that is who is the most MAGA and has the best chance of winning? (I would rather support a lesser MAGA, as long as they are not GOPe, and see the GOPe/RINOs loose than support the most MAGA and see the GOPe/RINO win or a Dem. Have to balance pragmatism and idealism)

The favored to win (from my understanding) is the Congressman Wright’s widow who has ben very active in TX GOP independently from her husband. While my first instinct is no, fresh candidates please, I don’t know enough about her or know her husband’s voting record (esp. his committee voting record) to know if she is MAGA with valuable experience, expertise and networking that will benefit MAGA if she is elected or if she is RINO/GOPe. Tossing out good, MAGA candidates based on assumptions is unwise and counterproductive so even if I suspect GOPe/RINO/swamp I always want to check first rather than going with the knee jerk “through the bums out”.
https://susanwrightforcongress.com/

Other promising looking candidates include:

Dan Rodimer https://danrodimer.com/policies/

Trump Admin alumni Brian Harrison https://votebrianharrison.com/
(but being in the Trump Admin doesn’t automatically equal MAGA as we had many (too many) GOPe/RINOs in the Trump Admin … but he looks ok on the issues too)

John Castro: https://johncastro.com/

Mike Egan https: //www.eganforcongress.com/home

Jenny Sharon: https://jennygarciasharon.com/

And Travis Rodermund: https://texansfortravis.com/

Katrina Pierson had said she was running but withdrew. Too bad as I was looking forward to supporting her and seeing her get elected.

This district will almost certainly go GOP (based on past voting results) but what kind of GOP? We have the change to elected MAGA or add another GOPe/RINO which is why I am interesting and have been following the special election. Just haven’t had time to delve deep and research.

May 1 is coming fast. Would love input from someone involved in GOP politics on the ground in TX to help the rest of us know who to support if there is a MAGA candidate with a chance to beat the GOPe/RINO candidates. MAGA across the country could focus on this district and make a difference. Harder to unseat after the new Congressman becomes an incumbent so we should nip in the bud … barney fife style! ha

MAGA Mom

🙁 Was hoping for some insight from TX on TX politics.

Very few elections happening right now (other than re-orgs) so we (maga conservatives) have time to focus tremendous effort on TX 6 to make sure we have a MAGA conservative elected.

Who do Texas MAGA voters prefer?

Disappointed that TX has no input for the rest of us to make a difference … 🙄

I keep reading that the name of the ship is Ever Given. Everything that I have seen clearly shows the name written on the ship is EVERGREEN. I wonder why there is any mention of the name being Ever Given.

mollypitcher5

I wondered that too. Evergreen is the shipping lines maybe and Ever Given the name of that ship ? Only a guess

Elizabeth Carter

If the name was written in a foreign language, it would not bother me so much. It is clearly Evergreen in English. Odd.

cthulhu

It’s not so much English, as a badge. A lot of ships say MAERSK on the side, for instance. It just so happens that the Roman character set is among the most recognized on the planet and generally is not confused with anything else.

cthulhu

…..and a good guess. All ships in the Evergreen fleet say EVERGREEN in big letters on the side, with “Ever XXXXXX” names painted at the bow and stern in much smaller letters.

I, too, wondered about that. By now, everyone knows EVERGREEN shipping lines. They’ve been around for yonks.

scott467

When an 18-wheeler gets stuck in the mud, and you have 3 or 4 tiny ATVs to pull it out, or a whole fleet of other 18-wheelers, I wonder which approach would be more successful?

Is there any reason why the most obvious solution isn’t even tried?

Have another cargo ship of similar size go up the Canal, attach a cable to the Evergreen, and then have the 2nd cargo ship reverse, while using tug boats to keep keep the 2nd cargo ship straight (so it doesn’t run aground), pulling the Evergreen off the shore, and straightening the Evergreen in the center of the canal?

Using something of similar weight and mass to budge the ship should be at least as effective as a back-hoe and a cameraman.

If there is a solid attaching point, that won’t tear either ship apart.

Like maybe an ANCHOR attachment.

GA/FL

Too bad there’s not a Red Adair class group that specializes in moving big old ships that have run aground.

Aubergine

That ship is still there because somebody BIG wants it to be.

singingsoul1

Bingo 🙂

Cuppa Covfefe

Ever Xi…

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Tugboats are very powerful for their size, so using multiples of them isn’t as laughable as you seem to think it is.

One hopes, though, that the ship isn’t ripped apart (or severely damaged) from being dragged through the muck. I am talking about direct damage from contact with the ground, not from the strain of being pulled (which, as you point out, shouldn’t be an issue if they attach to the right points).

RF121

Physics says no amount of tugs is moving that ship.

kalbokalbs

Thankfully MORE is going on than just tugs. BUT, tugs are part of the solution set.

Going out on a limb here, folks on the scene know far more than I, perhaps most of us on getting the ship moved.

The one group I’d not give the time of day to, regarding moving Ever seen is whoever the USN sent. Have great respect for USN capability and skill sets. Moving ships that ARE aground is NOT in the USN wheel house.

UPDATE: tug-all-day & dredge-at-night continues.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Tonight….. I FEEL GOOD AT IT! 😉

Grandmaintexas

A new kind of conservatism…looks like PDJT has awoken the intellectuals on the right.

https://americanmind.org/features/a-new-conservatism-must-emerge/

Fta:

“In the struggle between these two regimes, institutional power and political momentum currently favor the Left. The Right, at present, is not up to the fight. A new Right is needed, one that understands itself as rooted in the noble cause of the American Revolution — unabashed and zealous in its determination to restore political liberty and politics itself.

A restored Right must take two broad approaches. First, its immediate energies must focus on disrupting and weakening the Left’s institutional centers of power. Only parity of power can moderate the Left’s fanaticism. A new Right needs a tougher, more sober approach to the Left’s assets: the adversarial press and media, Big Tech oligopolies, and corrupt universities. This approach requires new legal strategies on issues that the professionalized Right is too scared to touch; bold new actions in the states to liberate them from the Left’s consolidation of powers; and large-scale activism. New strategies are needed for a new world.

Second, and most important, the Right needs to reclaim its mental and moral toughness, and that can come only from reviving its purpose — the preservation of the American way of life. The Right must be morally unflinching in refuting the Left’s ideologies. It must speak clearly and confidently about the effects of radical feminism, “antiracism,” and globalism. It must be prepared to protect its children, its property, and its standards from encroachments. And it must ground its efforts firmly in America’s central principle: equal protection under the law, without exception. This is the basis for forming a common good that the majority of Americans still desire. But achieving it will require that the Right reinvent its political party. Unless it does so, there will be no future political victories — and no country left to defend. Ultimately, this is much more than the cause of conservatism. It is the cause of America itself.”

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I agree that’s probably the most humane method I can think of…it’s basically equivalent to dying peacefully in one’s sleep.

Some crimes are so heinous that I don’t care to see the perp executed humanely. The sorts of people who invade homes, brutalize the inhabitants then let them die in the fire when they torch the house…just for instance.

Or for that matter the animals who did that carjacking.

Tonawanda

A rare, rare article which states things as they are without equivocation or apologizing. And by implication it shows how daunting the job is.

There is only one omission, IMO, and I do not blame the author for the omission.

The insoluble obstacle to the stated goals is the defense of white people AS white people. Candace Owens, God bless her, and a few wonderful non-white bloggers, God bless them, will defend white people as white people.

Hatred and persecution of white people is THE fundamental premise of the CCP/plutocrat/Democrat war on America. The nomenklatura know that hatred of white people works because it appeals to non-white people, it appeals to mentally deranged or narcissistic white people, and because white people are psychologically incapable of defending themselves AS white people.

People are terrified of being misinterpreted, and so they let themselves be persecuted.

When a person like VDH, for instance, starts talking about white people defending themselves AS white people, then we will know that there is hope for the broader goals to be achieved. But until that happens, and I do not believe it will happen, every lunatic and whacko, and all the other apparatchiks will continue to persecute.

And that, BTW, is why we have troops in DC. The communists know how our side breaks the Stockholm Syndrome, and they are not going to let it happen.

singingsoul1

As a white person I refuse to defend myself being white neither should a black person defend themselves being black. When we are rooted in Christ and know that everyone has its roots in the family tree of God there is no hate or discrimination against anyone.
These people who found their new religion of division hate and racism if it is against black , white or Chinese do not speak for me or to me.
I have never been racist against anyone therefore I feel strongly with Candace Owens.
Candace is not a racist and one can see and hear it how she sees so clearly it is not about race what we are facing.
What is happening goes way deeper trying to destroy the soul of us and America.

Tonawanda

I understand exactly what you are saying (I believe) but do not think we are talking about the same thing.

There is nothing wrong with being black, or Chinese, or anything else. We are all children of God.

Then why is it wrong to say there is nothing wrong with my being white, I am a child of God?

It is wrong to hate black people or Chinese people because they are black or Chinese. Then why is it wrong to say that hating me because I am white is wrong?

I loathe the fact that what we are facing is about race, but that is simply the fact of the matter. The fact of the matter is that TPTB, the CCP/plutocrats like Gates and Bezos, and their Democratic apparatchiks have started a race war against white people. Yes, it IS intended to divide people and it HAS divided people. The polarization is acute and absurd, but it exists with a virulence and hatred the likes I thought we would never see in my lifetime in America.

The hatred is all coming from one side. Hatred is not the answer.

But self-defense is, although that will not happen IMO. White people have been trained like robots to insist they are not racists. No, no, no … I did not beat my wife! Why do you keep asking if I did?

Meanwhile it is open season on white people, to everyone’s detriment – – black, Chinese, everyone.

I am pretty sure it is too late to do anything about it. People had to summon up the courage to say Merry Christmas, but mostly shut up for no good reason but fear. Now they cannot even say “it’s ok to be white.”

singingsoul1

I agree there is nothing wrong saying being white or black or whatever. I did not express myself properly.
Being German after WWII schools were careful for my generation not to put a guilt trip on us. Later they did and a lot of Germans have the same problem so many Americans now have.
Of course I had a different situation since I have Jewish relatives. We were taught not to discriminate early on concerning race or religion. I do not have the same history many Americans have.
I remember asking my husband to take me to Harlem in the sixties I wanted to see if it was true in what conditions people lived.
To me it is never color, race, religion it is all about character of a person. I get very well along with black or Jewish people and in a strange way I feel a kinship with them. No clue why. I understand the pain of persecution and discrimination.
The liberals of today do not seem to be able to look deep they parrot what they have been taught.

churchmouse

‘I get very well along with black or Jewish people and in a strange way I feel a kinship with them. No clue why.’

It is likely because you know that God created everyone of us.

Gingersmom2009

It’s all nice talk — until you’re face to face with those carjacking girls. Or Ruby Freeman and her daughter.

DC is Somalia, is Liberia, is Chicago. Here’s where we’re at – it’s either western civilization, the toil and artistry of white people — or it’s everything else. Western Civ. is not something FOR white people, but that’s who built the framework.

Whenever Black History Month came around in school, celebrating all the usual suspects . . . what were they doing? Making their contribution to Western Civilization. And one can assume that the Thurgood Marshalls were glad to be a part of it. As is Candace Owens.

Unfortunately, lawlessness and vulgarity are what is celebrated in contemporary black culture. Why do you think the election fraud happened in these places, Detroit – Philly – Atlanta? The right people were there, comfortable with lawlessness, completely willing to be tapped to do the dirty work. Forgive my blunt statements, stereotypes become stereotypes because they are true too often to ignore.

Of course we should condemn violence the point is no matter who does it.
Still there are good people of any race or religion .

I believe it’s more accurate to say that Western Civilization is built on a foundation of Judeo-Christian values. Skin color is secondary, if it is an issue at all. Biblical faith & truth are more foundational & way more than skin deep, or they should be!

Bakocarl, do you ever do these sorts of presentations in churches or study groups, or just on blogs? They really are nice bits to chew on.

cthulhu

And, now, for something completely different. I can “hear” again.

The last time I did a “big roll” on my operating system, it went from being based on Ubuntu 18.04 to being based on Ubuntu 20.04. And I started having audio problems. At first, I’d have two copies of Pulseaudio running after rebooting — all I had to do was kill -9 the earlier of the two. This was annoying.

Then I tried to run down the problem further and audio quit working altogether. And that’s where I’ve been for about a month as other things were going on.

The essential problem is that alsa, the Advanced Linux Sound Architecture, is built into the kernel and was originally supposed to be the “be-all and end-all” of sound handling….and was clearly insufficient. So the PulseAudio project was born — especially with the idea of being a network-aware “twin” to alsa.

In practice, however, that means I can try to use alsa controls, but alsa routs actual sound generation to pulse, which routes it to the correct machine (mine), which asks alsa to deal with the specific sound card involved. It’s not a “twin”, it’s a chimera — a beast whose parts come from random other creatures. And the debugging tools have not kept up — and once you get into the weeds, assigning responsibility between alsa and pulse gets to be very difficult.

Ironically, the reason it’s now working is because I feel terrible. Today was the first time I’ve mowed the lawn this Spring, and I’m allergic to lawns. Even now, so many hours later, I feel like I’m running a mild fever. Once I got the mower put away, I wasn’t going to be addressing any of my higher priorities today, so I started futzing around with the sound again. And got it to work.

With luck, tomorrow I can build on my success and get other parts to work, rather than cheapie headphones on the front panel. But at least something is.

RAC

I tried 18.04 a good while back and didn’t like it at all, maybe it’s got better I don’t know, wouldn’t want to try it again.
What is your view on just sticking with 16.04 and hoping for the best after updates end. Am not techy and rely on published fixes for things.

cthulhu

Here’s the thing — when something supported is patched, they PUBLISH THE FLAW. If you keep a version past its maintenance date, the FLAWS will be published, but you’ll never get the fixes. This is BAD.

Try the various flavors of Ubuntu — MATE, lubuntu, Mint, etc. If none of them ring your bell, try Debian. If you want to get crazy, try Manjaro or something…..but stay with a current LTS distro.

RAC

Well I definitely don’t want to “get crazy”, have 3 desktops so might change just one and see how it goes.
Like stuff that doesn’t spring surprises on me, don’t like change, must be getting old lol.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

I thought 18.04 was a huge step down from 16.whatever, and 18.10 was not much better. In desperation, I found that ALL of the 19s were better than 18s, and IMO better than 16s. And IMO the 20s are all even better than 16s or 19s.

The 18s were the bad apples, IMO.

cthulhu

18.04 was a good argument for a five year LTS cycle. OTOH, Canonical did get ripped and shredded, business-wise, between 16.04 and 20.04…..

The King of Kings, Lord of Lords rode into town
that bright day long ago, on a never-ridden beast of burden.
Master of His Fate, cheered by the crowd.
He voluntarily came to lay down His Holy Life – for sinners.
He knew the pain, humiliation, mockery, misunderstanding
That he faced, but he persevered and endured it all.
He had not flinched, hedged, equivocated on any matter,
Nor had He denied His Absolute and Certain Divinity.
He told us the whole true story of His origin and purpose.
He demonstrated His power by healing, feeding, escaping, out-smarting
The masses and the masters of the synagogues and temple.
He said I AM – multiple times – signifying He was GOD.
And the last time He said I AM,
It knocked the Temple soldiers to the ground.
Yet He surrendered and allowed mere men to crucify and kill Him – for a little while.
And it so outraged The Father, that the Temple veil was torn in half
The final and true Holy Sacrifice
The Real Eternal Propitiation for Sin,
For which all other sacrifices were only models, symbols,
Made all future sacrifice obsolete, moot, useless and meaningless.
So He, Jesus, Emanuel, Christ, King of Kings, Lord of Lords
Rode into Jerusalem, His face set like flint,
To do the Will of the Father…..And He did

Amen.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, amen.

NY Post says the US Navy is willing to help with the Suez grounded ship situation.

https://nypost.com/2021/03/28/continued-suez-canal-problems-costs-10-billion-a-day/

They’ve only got 13 tug boats on the job right now and some excavation equipment trying to dredge out the sand and mud from the bow of the Ever Given.

I guess these big old ships don’t have massive tow bar connectors to attach a few dozen tugs and pull the thing out from the rear.

Dredgers dig down 18 metres, shift 27,000 cubic metres of sand
Dredgers working to dislodge the stranded vessel have so far shifted 27,000 cubic metres of sand, to a depth of 18 metres, and efforts would continue around the clock according to wind conditions and tides, the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has said in a statement.

“There are positive indicators from yesterday and the day before yesterday,” Rabie told Egyptian state TV.

“The rudder was not moving and it is now moving, the propeller is working now, there was no water underneath the bow, and now there is water under it, and yesterday there was a 4-metre deviation in the bow and the stern.”

However, two SCA sources told Reuters that a mass of rock had been found at the bow of the ship, complicating salvage efforts.

Rescue workers from the SCA and a team from Dutch firm Smit Salvage have been weighing whether some of the Ever Given’s 18,300 containers will need to be removed by crane in order to refloat it.

Experts have warned that such a process could be complex and lengthy.

“We’re dividing the day into two halves, 12 hours for dredgers and 12 hours for tugs, because not all times are suitable for tugs due to the tide,” said Rabie, adding that 14 tug boats were being deployed.

What did Jesus actually look like? There’s very little solid information about this. There have been a few remarks by early church history writers supposedly handed down from eye-witnesses, but the only mention of Christ’s appearance in Scripture is in a prophecy in the Old Testament. Surprisingly, no Christian disciple or apostle ever supplied a physical description of the Lord Jesus Christ in the New Testament. They told us Jesus laughed, wept, slept, ate, lost his temper, called the Pharisees vipers, had compassion and loved – but there is not one word about how he looked.

Here is the Old Testament prophetic description:

“He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.”

Isaiah 53:2-3

As an artist, I’ve only drawn Jesus one time, in pencil. It’s an image of Christ looking serious, quietly listening and seeing deep into someone’s heart – a small attempt to portray the central figure of all history, by whose life years and centuries are measured. The secularists have tried to change that and erase His significance, but they haven’t managed that, so far.

I love the Shroud and consider it as a gift from God to me, or for anyone who accepts the gift. It is truly a miracle God created for modern man, those born in our time.

The evidence is overwhelming for the Shroud as the burial cloth of Jesus which records the Resurrection. For those who rely solely on the Carbon 14 dating, I can only recommend that they look at the entire circumstances of that dating, including the latest analysis. And look as well at all the other evidence, and ask yourself what proves what, or what disproves what.

There are many Christians who reject the Shroud as a forgery, although there is zero evidence it is a forgery. They rely on scripture for their rejection, understandably so. Scripture is not evidence that the Shroud is a forgery, obviously, so its is inferred from Scripture that the Shroud is a forgery.

The Christians who reject the Shroud, IMO, are committing the fallacy of the False Alternative.

I will not give away the third option they are overlooking, but it is explained here:

https://theshroudofturin.blogspot.com/2014/11/servant-of-priest-1-turin-shroud.html

The author’s formatting is somewhat confusing, but his three part post is enjoyable and fascinating.

I have never doubted that it is the real thing.

===
.

The Shroud of Turin is a centuries old linen cloth that bears the image of a crucified man. A man that millions believe to be Jesus of Nazareth. Is it really the cloth that wrapped his crucified body, or is it simply a medieval forgery, a hoax perpetrated by some clever artist?
.
Modern science has completed hundreds of thousands of hours of detailed study and intense research on the Shroud. It is, in fact, the single most studied artifact in human history, and we know more about it today than we ever have before. And yet, the controversy still rages.
.
This web site will keep you abreast of current research, provide you with accurate data from the previous research and let you interact with the researchers themselves. We believe that if you have access to the facts, you can make up your own mind about the Shroud. Make sure you visit the page where you can Examine the Shroud of Turin for yourself. We hope you enjoy your visit. Barrie M. Schwortz, Editor.

It was Johns Hopkins that blew up and hyped the coronavirus in the early days – using big red dots to mark the spread of the disease (detected and measured by the use of inaccurate PCR tests) until the WHO was allowed to officially call it a ‘pandemic’.

Now Johns Hopkins wants to establish a politically correct limitation/censorship on information, on permissible language and reporting about the disease, the vaccine and treatment of the disease.

This is a remarkably similar parallel to the official story about the fraudulent victory of Joe Biden!

I tried to post a .png image of a linkedin post that I encountered this morning. I can’t find the comment now to remove the first of two links that wanted to start with “blob”. I think the 2nd link should work. It’s someone talking about their work in combatting disinformation and lies. Who decides? Will the combat be more lawfare or bullets?

Aubergine

I just did a bit of research that was REALLY interesting.

There is a website that lists the number of registered voters by state, along with other information.

I used it last when I was checking the math about the number of total votes cast in the election, how many went to Trump, and what was left over for Biden. It didn’t add up.

Just now, I went to look at today’s numbers, just for Michigan, my test case. Wowser.

On August 7, 2020, there were 5,453,000 registered voters in Michigan, accounting for
71.20% of the population, which was 10,045,000.

On November 3, 2020 (last date available), there are 8,127,040 registered voters, accounting for 81.33% of the population, which had dropped to 9,992,430.

That would mean that 2,674,040 registered to vote in Michigan in just EIGHTY-EIGHT DAYS.

BULLSHIT.

And I only checked ONE STATE.

MAGA Mom

Link? Would love to look up other states, esp. TN

Aubergine

Tennessee has not updated its numbers since June of 2020.

MAGA Mom

On what link?

Do you mind sharing the link where you found the stats you listed above?

MAGA Mom

Interesting in looking up other states and especially TN so began searching for the number you quote above to lead me to the site so I could look up other numbres.

Now, not so sure about the source that gave you the info.

In 2018 there were 7,471,088 registered voters so the 7/2020 # above is off significantly.
Voting age population was 7,831,250 and yes, MI is known for its high % of registered voters. How “clean” the voter registrations are is another question. But, no, there was not the enormous jump in registrations the website data gave you.

https://www.michigan.gov/sos/0,4670,7-127-1633_8722-29616–,00.html

There were 5,539,302 total votes caste in the MI 2020 Presidential election in Michigan (or at least that is the claimed total … some of those 5.5 million are suspect!)

Aubergine

There is no 2020 or 2021 data on your link. And Wikipedia, seriously?

MAGA Mom

Will you please share the link at which you found the stats you quoted? I can not find anything close to what you quoted elsewhere.

1) Correct – the MI state link does not have 2020 data but it does show the stats for 2018 which make the stats you quoted for 2020 impossible.

More people were already registered in 2018 than you quoted for August, 2020.

The #s for 2018 disprove your site’s #s for August, 2020.

In 2018 there were Already 7,471,088 registered voters so the 7/2020 5,453,000 quoted from your site above is off significantly.

2) Focusing on Wikipedia as the source for 2020 MI totals is missing the point, but I will address the issue nonetheless.

Wiki just lists the total from 2020 election that voted.
Same #s are found in multiple places. Using wikipedia for general knowledge is simple, easy and not an issue as it is not opinion. (Of course, I do not believe the final totals were composed of 100% legit votes)

https://mielections.us/election/results/2020GEN_CENR.html

https://apnews.com/article/record-votes-michigan-highest-turnout-1f7802d2a2e67966ba8ccb02e3d1cbed

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-elections/michigan-president-results

There is no need to make this personal. It isn’t, at least for me.
I am not trying to argue with you, esp. as this is not a matter of opinion but a matter of facts and trustworthy sources.

Let’s review:
1) Your post was interesting and I wanted to learn more

2) I asked for the website from which you got your #s so I could read and learn too

3) While waiting for you to link to the stats you quoted I began looking for myself

4) I found the #s you quoted from your site to be wrong

5) I shared that the #s were wrong with links to accurate data because others reading might not take the time to verify and will leave with inaccurate info on a non issue (no, 3 million people suddenly registered) instead of thinking about and sharing and taking action on Real issues of which there are many … people who like me were alarmed at what you posted and were concerned enough to immediately want to learn more was that would have been suspicious and in need of sunlight. But its wrong and inaccurate … a time wasting fake news story.

Why wouldn’t anyone want to know it wasn’t true?

Please share the link that is posting this data as I would like to learn more.

Aubergine

People move, people leave. The population of Michigan went DOWN.

I am not engaging with you.

All you want to do is disprove correct information. So find the damned links for yourself.

MAGA Mom

More MI info (and a clear data set that they voter roles might need a good cleaning?)

They seperate their voters into “active” and “inactive” and combine them for a grand total of registered voters.

2020: active & grand total
Feb: 6,691,601 & 7,700637
July: 6,764,903 & 7,748,541
Oct: 7,151,051 & 8,061,525

https://www.michigan.gov/documents/sos/2020_Registered_Voter_Count_682262_7.pdf

“dirty” voter lists and “ease” of registered (which equals ease of fraudulant registration) seem to be an issue in MI

But, no, voter registration totals were not as low as the website lead you to believe.

Aubergine

There is no date on this, only a year. Not accurate enough.

singingsoul1

Aubergine you are an excellent researcher I trust your stats 🙂

Aubergine

Thank you, Singingsoul!

I try very hard to be as accurate as possible.

Cuppa Covfefe

Same here. Aubergine (and Gail) are real profis at research.

Seems there’s a snoper afoot… or an LRH-type…

MAGA Mom

It isn’t about trusting a person … facts are either correct or incorrect.

I saw the post, was interested, asked for a link to the data quoted, and started searching for the data on my own.

Found her data to be off, way off, and linked to correct data.

Not a matter of trusting a commenter … simply look up the data and it is correct or incorrect.

Time wasted by reading such erroneous data. If it had been true (if “2,674,040 registered to vote in Michigan in just EIGHTY-EIGHT DAYS”) and if other states showed similar stats, this would have been a scandal and big news.

I was instantly interested and alert to a new scandal. So, since no link was provided to back up these claims, I started to look into it only to find it is fake news and we have many other real issues to spend our time on.

No a matter of “trust” – either the stats are true or they aren’t … and they are easily proven untrue and a fake news story + time waster

so why make it personal, a matter of trust and make it negative on the person who took the time to dig and find out that it wasn’t true?

Would you rather have repeated the fake news and looked foolish to others and wasted other’s time on a non issue? I don’t get it being a matter of “trust” …

Last edited 3 years ago by MAGA Mom
Cuppa Covfefe

Trusting Wackypedia?

Sounds agenda-driven to me.

MAGA Mom

The Wikipedia stat is linked to multiple links which I also cited.

Facts don’t care about emotions, or who you “trust”.

I was interested in what she posted, just interested in the topic and learning more … only to realize that the info was 100% fake news.

So I posted the links to accurate info. The only fact I linked to on Wikipedia was the eleciton totals for MI and also linked to the same data in many other links.

Why would anyone get upset about accurate data?

Don’t you want to know what is true or not?

Wouldn’t you be frustrated if you walked away thinking that 3 million new voters were registered in a matter of months in MI, especially if you told others, only to find out that is 100% fake news?

What “agenda” could there be to exposing and correcting fake news that, no, there were not even close to 3 million new voters registered in MI in the last several months before the election?

Think! Follow the money … what outcome and for who does this fake news serve?

It serves the corrupt to have fake news out there distracting MAGA voters from pursuing actual corruption and election issues – pursuing the fake news story of 3 million new voter registrations only to find out you have wasted your time and embarassed yourself … that is in the interest of the Deep State, keeping us distracted with fake news and away from real corruption.

doesn’t matter who you “like” or your feelings … No internet links and No facts to back up the silly claim posted about 3 million new voter registrations in the last months before elecion in MI. fake news.

singingsoul1

So true. I miss Gail 🙂

MAGA Mom

I learn so much from her and her covid posts were especially helpful

And she always has things at her finger tips with links so we can learn more and can share. How does she keep so organized?!

singingsoul1

Yes Gail is a special person maybe she needs some time out. I am sure her farm keeps her busy specially in the spring.

MAGA Mom

What do you mean “no date”?

Quarterly reporting and listing the month is listing a date … ???

The dates include a breakdown by month in their quarterly reporting. This is the most accurate – the data directly from the state election office. What other source would be more accurate? From where does the source get their MI registration data?

Just because a website puts a date of when they retrieve the data does not make their data “accurate”. Your site was inaccurate concerning the # of voters registered by August of 2020 as has already been documented.

Please share your website so we can all learn more about every state. If you have time to reply, don’t you have time to post the website?

Aubergine

Nope. Not helping you.

People here will decide for themselves whether to believe you, or not.

MAGA Mom

Not about believing me … believe the facts with links or not.

Its not personal. Why do discussions of facts turn personal in your mind?

Why do you make it personal when all I did was ask for the site from which you were getting your info?

Why make it personal and nasty … and defensive?

I was interested to learn more … and learned that your source was posting 100% fake news.

it is not about “belief” … it is about facts.

I had no Prior “belief” before researching what you shared.

Truth has no agenda … and yet you do, at least at this point, as you have changed the discussion from a conversation about the facts you stated to a personal disagreement with me. Why?

Why are you so emotionally attached to your story and resistant to discussion, correction of the facts and sharing your sources?

And that you refuse to share your source, to back up your “facts”, is telling. You didn’t back it up in the first place, which is why I went searching for it eager to learn more only to be surprised that it was 100% fake news.

Why does it upset you v. being glad to know not to spread the same fake news story to others?

MAGA Mom

“Nope. Not helping you.”

Why make info sharing personal? What about registration data triggers emotions? Is this productive and helpful to MAGA?

Why did you post it if you don’t want to share the source so others can learn more and do something about the supposed corruption on this specific issue?

Posting your link from where you got the info would not help me … I have now researched, found accurate data and moved on from the fake news story.

But it would help others to know your info is correct and of concern … or not.

Aubergine

You are an ass. Always with the comments about emotions. You are either a machine or a psychopath. Leave me alone.

And again, people here will decide what is “fake news” and who is spreading it.

MAGA Mom

Again, no link
Again, no information
Again, personal attacks

Why do you make things personal?

Doesn’t have to be that way. Could just post info and links and discuss, debate and exchange info.

Aubergine

If anyone else asked me, I would happily post the link.

I don’t care to “debate” with you.

And it’s “personal” because I am a “person.” Perhaps you are not.

Valerie Curren

I’m curious on the Michigan info & think I saw a tweet some time back by Bernard Kerik about MI scrubbing the voter lists, maybe in January. Also in MI I believe they allowed “same day voter registration” for the 1st time ever so you could go & vote “provisionally” just about anywhere in the state, even w/out ID I think.

I’m super suspicious of Anything happening in Michigan. I live here & Whitmer (gov) is evil, Benson (SoS) is diabolical, & Nessel (AG) is deceived & all are deceivers imo. Official stats would be Very Suspect to me, based on how they are handling & hiding info about CV, including the much vaunted “science” they claim underpins all their decisions!

Aubergine

I agree about the “official stats” from Michigan.

I am using a site that aggregates voter registration numbers from all states. I also use the Wayback Machine to check numbers from the past.

The problem with using Michigan’s own websites is that they can manipulate the data anyway they want after the fact. Using Wayback can illuminate that to a degree. I just don’t have time to debunk every claim a certain poster makes.

Valerie Curren

no doubt! I appreciate your research & insights Every Time I see them!!! Thank you!

Aubergine

Thank you, Valerie.

Valerie Curren

YW, Aubergine. God Bless YOU! <3

singingsoul1

Aubergine is an excellent researcher I trust her stats.
Maybe it is worth putting your heads together?

MAGA Mom

Not a judgement on anyone’s ability to research or on anyone as a person.

She may be a great researcher … doesn’t change the fact that the stats quoted above are 100% fake news and wrong.

I never attempted to work or speak against her or any other commenter.

I was immediately concerned about the information posted as it seemed like an alarming source of corrupted votes in a contested election already filled with suspicious, fraudulant votes. So I asked for a source.

While waiting (having no idea the commenter would refuse to share sources because … who know why … somehow backing up her quotes with the source “helps me” … helps me what? smh … ) I began to search for the #s quoted. Never found a source for the erroneous numbers but did find accourate numbers so shared them so the commenter and the rest of those reading would:
-not bother to waste time on fake news
-not share fake news
-be able to focus on real issues, which are many

And that devolved into the commenter thinking it was about them v. about the issue and the facts.

I can only share the info and post it. If the other commenter chose to make it a back and forth discussion of sources, facts and substance v. devolving into taking correction of facts/posts personally, that would be reasonable and expected. Synergy. Actual Research. Deep diving into facts and learning. When some can’t take correction of facts, questions and even refuse to share sources, well its hard to help and hard to synergize.

blessed are the peacemakers.

wish your suggestion was valued by all v. factual discussions turning from data, sources and facts into attacks, side eyes and wild conspiracy theories.

(I literally laugh out loud whenever I think of being called a chinese spy on this blog! so silly and absurd as to be hilarious! don’t want to forget it as it truly makes me laugh and gives perspective to personal attacks in conversations orignating in facts … facts that some don’t like for whatever reason of the day)

Total Media Blackout: Nearly 4,000 Dead In Europe & More Than 162,000 Injuries Following Experimental COVID-19 Injections

The complete media blackout of adverse effects and deaths following experimental COVID-19 injections is absolutely outrageous. Yet, they continue to peddle the fraudulent, unproved claim they are safe and effective. Nothing could be further from the truth. According to the European Database of Adverse Drug Reactions for COVID-19 “Vaccines,” 3,964 people have died and 162,610 have been injured, and these are only the ones reported which are a very small percentage of the total.

New York Rolls Out Vaccine Passport
March 28, 2021

New York is the first state to formally launch a “vaccine passport” program, allowing New Yorkers to pull up a code on their phones to prove they have received a vaccine for the Chinese coronavirus or have tested negative.

The vaccine passport, called the Excelsior Pass, is what USA Today describes as a “first-in-the-nation certification,” which will be used at large-scale events and entertainment venues. It became available to New Yorkers on Friday, and the venues that accept it are expected to expand in the coming days and weeks.

MAGA Mom

This article is specific to TN (although Missouri has some legislators considering the same) but it is a topic of conern to those who live in other states as well. If it passes in TN might well be a good issue for other concerned citizens to take up in their state.

“Tennessee’s Republican state legislators want to loosen foreign influence- a new bill being considered would limit foreign ownership of agricultural land. The bill wouldn’t limit foreign ownership of land for any other purposes. It also wouldn’t apply retroactively.
State Senator Frank Niceley (R-Strawberry Plains) first introduced the bill, followed by State Representative Jerry Sexton (R-Bean Station).
Discussion from the Senate Energy, Agriculture, and National Resources Committee hearing clarified that this bill sought to protect farmers – and that they aren’t in opposition to it, either.
“Like I said, it’s been tested for 42 years in Iowa, and it’s working out there,” stated Niceley. “There’s a lot of concern about, you know, people buying America.”

Due to the increasing presence of foreign influence in the country, the USDA created the Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act (AFIDA) which requires that foreign companies disclose holdings and transaction information.
In 2019…2.7 percent of all privately-held agricultural land and 1.5 percent of all land in the country.
That’s roughly more acres than about 25 states have, respectively. An overwhelming majority of the foreign investors flocked to the outermost parts of the eastern and western areas of the country.

Another state currently considering similar legislation is Missouri, following concerns over anti-competitive market conditions due to foreign control.
The Senate is scheduled to vote on the bill on Thursday. The House will consider it during a subcommittee hearing on Tuesday.”

CREATION FROM BEGINNING TO END…
march 28, 2021 the marshall report

https://themarshallreport.wordpress.com/2021/03/28/creation-from-beginning-to-end/

comment image

In the Book of Enoch, there is an account of all creation. The details of how God made the VISIBLE from the INVISIBLE.

Isn’t that exactly what science and man is trying to understand and to recreate? Enoch reveals how God made light and dark matter that was the driving force behind all of it, which science has recently discovered that the black invisible space in the sky which they term dark matter is actually pure energy itself. They say it is the energy responsible for the accelerating expansion of the universe. Dark matter is a source of gravitation which we couldn’t see directly. They say both dark matter and dark energy (and any other types of matter or energy) are sources of gravitation. And light the other key factor….low and behold it says the same thing in the Book of Enoch. Whenever it was written…I believe by Enoch…theologians argue as to a date… but always sometime in BC.

One last word on Governor NoemAre both sides missing the point?
Techno Fog

https://technofog.substack.com/p/one-last-word-on-governor-noem

A Brief Background
You might have seen South Dakota in the news lately. Legislation proposed by the South Dakota legislature, HB 1217, would require that that K-12 and higher education female sports be “available only to participants who are female, based on their biological sex.” Governor Noem proposed revisions which included limitations of the legislation to K-12 schools. The colleges were out.

Then all hell broke loose. The ADF went on the attack, stating Noem “has downplayed the injustices that girls and women are already facing when they are forced to compete against males.” Noem appeared on Tucker and didn’t help her case, though she didn’t completely melt down. A series of opinion pieces ensued, including one from our friend Margot Cleveland at The Federalist.

This is direct war on the citizens.

RF121

You do realize that the majority of Americans will be all in on this. Reference, mask compliance.

gil00

The implications are vile. Tracking your every move? That means a chip. I guess we will know if everyone on one side are willing to sacrifice it all for slavery or freedom.

RF121

I have a cell phone. They already are.

cthulhu

I have a cell phone, as well. If someone is tracking my location minute-by-minute, they only get reception about 1/3 the time, and they mostly think I’m sitting on my kitchen countertop.

RF121

I travel a lot for work in remote areas of the Rocky Mountain States. Having tracking active is actually a good thing for me.

Found the actual WaPo article cited here if anyone cares to read it:

They ain’t gettin’ my email, but it looks like they have plans.

Aubergine

Engage in commerce? What does that even mean? Does anyone think that the local Mom and Pop shop that up to now here in Montana hasn’t required me to wear a mask is suddenly going to because His Fraudulency says they have to? Realize, I haven’t worn a mask once since this began a year ago. I shop for groceries, eat out, buy clothes, go to thrift stores, etc. There are some places that are assholes, so I just don’t go there.

I call bullshit on the passport.

It might work in shithole places like New York and California, but it’s not gonna fly in flyover country. People won’t do it.

Hell – I’m not getting the vaccine just on this principle.

Lookin’ more and more like Noem has rats in her pantry.

para59r

Bongino had Noem on his radio show either Thursday or Friday and went straight to this pulling no punches. Noem didn’t flinch. Her excuse is the National Association of Collages would hang her students out by barring them from collegiate sports because she had a small state and they could get away with it. So essentially Noem was saying she had to be more tactical in approaching the problem as opposed to just upholding principles. She also made the claim the Tennessee law was the same thing she was wanting her legislature to come back with. Bongino kept his ground on principle and the fact that she was second guessing the NCA’s actions. She got her say and came off a bit better than previous reports. We’ll see what happens in short order. The more states that follow suit the harder she and other states can push back on this retarded thinking from the woke crowd.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Yup. This is starting to make sense now. I’m seeing how she tactically decided to grab headlines for the movement with “sharp hot media power” as a ricochet, but let the bigger states actually push through quietly with soft financial power she does not have.

Still trying to reconcile that one, Wolf!!!

EVERGREEN SHUTDOWN 10 DAYS PASSOVER, DURHAM CARGO BOAT 3-28-21

Yup. Bidenazis and Bidenistas are just lookin’ like satanic trash now.

cthulhu

Well, drat.

As J. M. Barrie famously put it….”some of my ideas pan out, but others just peter out.”

I have a whole-house fan that started squeaking last night, so I shut it down and looked at it today. It’s direct drive, and the fan blades are over the electric motor. The bottom of the motor is sealed, so that’s not likely to be where the problem is — and, also, is where the electric wires go into the motor’s casing, so it’s likely where the brushes are.

Rummaged through my stock of lubricants, and I figured spray-on white lithium grease was a good candidate. It’s non conductive, so I can spray inside electric devices with gay abandon, except for the slight issue of possibly coating the brushes and interrupting the current flow into the motor. It’s a grease, so it should pretty much stay put.

I put a shop towel in back to catch overspray, and sprayed some on the motor shaft. below the fan blades, waited a few minutes…..and it ran great! It sounded healthier than it’s been in a while.

But then it squeaked again. The squeaks got louder and more frequent. And I could hear the fan laboring.

So, tomorrow, I get to do it again.

gil00

Arghhh I say!

barkerjim

Generally speaking, an AC motor doesn’t have brushes. The squeaks are likely the internal bearings on the rotor. Brushes were found on small (fractional HP) AC motors (universal). The nameplate may have a model number on it that can be looked up. It is unlikely that any grease could get into the bearings without taking the motor apart.

Deplorable Patriot

Once they start squeaking, it’s REALLY hard to get it to stop.

Ours just needs to be replaced, but I don’t think that’s going to happen.

The Constitution still stands:

Trump, Bush Appeals Court Judges Rule in Favor of Professor of ‘Christian Thought’ Who Refused to Call Students by Their Preferred Gender Pronouns
https://lawandcrime.com/first-amendment/trump-bush-appeals-court-judges-rule-in-favor-of-professor-of-christian-thought-who-refused-to-call-students-by-their-preferred-gender-pronouns/

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday ruled in favor of a “devout Christian” professor who was disciplined because he “refused to refer to students by their ‘preferred pronouns’” after a 2016 directive at a small state university in Ohio ordered him to do so. The court held that university officials and a lower federal district court failed to recognize the professor’s First Amendment rights to free speech and to the free exercise of his religion. By so holding, the court decried the notion that a university might “wield alarming power to compel ideological conformity.”

Findings:
Professors have First Amendment rights while teaching.
The university’s policy was deeply hypocritical.
The professor’s rights under the Free Exercise Clause were violated.

I especially like that he proactively sued the university before they could fire him:

Meriwether was never discharged; nor was his pay cut. He sued because he feared those actions were imminent. A reprimand letter in his file would also make it difficult for him to obtain employment elsewhere, he said.
