OUR TASK IN POST-ROE AMERICA
For fifty years pro-life advocates have done the hard work of keeping the nation’s conscience alive. We protested, we prayed in front of clinics, we sustained crisis pregnancy centers to help women choose life, we conducted healing retreats for women and men suffering the after-effects of abortion, we founded journals like the Human Life Review to make the intellectual case. Many worked in the legal field to make the principled case for overturning Roe v. Wade. Others strove to form and select judges who would respect and not pervert our national commitment to the inalienable right to life. Those called to politics worked to elect presidents and senators who would confirm such judges to the Supreme Court.
Together, we persevered. And today it is hard not to feel like we triumphed.
But in truth the overthrow of Roe is not the final triumph but the beginning of a new and harder road ahead. Our goal is not to create a culture where abortion is illegal, but where it is unthinkable. To do that requires sacrificial love for both mother and child.

What has been noticed in the aftermath of the decision’s official release is just how unhinged the left is. It’s not just over the topic of abortion, but all sorts of things.
The Left-wing Insurrection Intensifies
This isn’t just a few fringe voices. Prominent legal analysts and authors are calling the Court illegitimate. The chair of the Democrat National Committee has pulled out the bullhorn to condemn the Court. Writers at Teen Vogue, whatever one thinks of Teen Vogue, have also used their cultural clout and reach to spew their propaganda. The “mainstream” of the Democrat Party and their allies are calling the Court illegitimate; they have joined the very far-left that have been saying this for decades.
Insurrection is a violent uprising against legal authority with the intent to overthrow it. Of course, liberals won’t openly admit that what they advocate is insurrection. But that is, in essence, what the left is advocating.
By demonizing and attempting to delegitimize the Supreme Court, whose function is to uphold the Constitution and its rule of law, the Left intends to weaken the last bastion of American civil society and legal order to overthrow it. By eliminating the legitimacy of the Supreme Court, this will give the Left a blank check to open power to remake America and its laws in their image. It’s an insurrection and revolution in all but name.
If the Left can’t achieve policy victories because their policies lead to depression and societal ruination, then they will do so by force and ignore the people and the rule of law. That has been the playbook of left-wing revolutionaries since the Jacobins. When you can’t win by legislation, win by force. When you can’t change the system from within, overthrow the system from the outside. That is insurrection.

As a general rule of thumb, you should NOT be approaching anyone with any of this stuff. Nobody likes to be bombarded with information they didn’t ask for. You should be educating yourself, and conducting yourself in a certain manner, and the normies will come to you.
Carry yourself in a manner that says “I don’t subscribe to the false reality”. People can sense it on you. When asked your opinion on something, state it proudly. But don’t go out of your way to tell people about this stuff. The curious ones, they will detect that you are different and don’t act like the rest of the brainwashed lemmings, and they will come to you.
These curious normies, who have started to notice the narrative being fed to them is bullshit, they will ask you stuff like “hey what do you think about this?”, Or “did you see this?”, looking to get a response from you, for an alternative perspective to what they get from their MSM echo chamber.
This is when you have opportunity to show them irregularities in what they are being fed. If you are able to show them one irregularity, they will be inspired to look for other irregularities in their narrative(s), and their search for truth begins. And depending on how close you are with the person, they will come back with more questions. And it’s our individual responsibility to be as well versed as possible, so we can assist those with questions and curious minds.
Also, you need to be delicate, and not throw these people head first into the deepest and most obscure of rabbit holes. They are already in a heightened state of anxiety, going outside their comfort zone and questioning their reality. Don’t spook them with the crazy stuff at first. The Biltmore pool is not how you red-pill normies. Start with a smaller dose.

Made a batch of “sauce-des” tonight.
The name has to do with watching many hours of Iron Chef in Japanese with English subtitles.
Need: skillet and pot
Pot — throw in a larger-than-pint can of crushed tomatoes and three laurel leaves and begin low heat with flame spreader.
Prep some hot Italian sausage on a cutting board, sliced into 1/4″ slices. It’s easiest to slice when frozen. About 15″ of links.
Skillet — about 3/4 pound of ground beef, add ground pasilla chile, a touch of black pepper, some chile colorado molido, a bunch of diced frozen onions, frozen tricolor pepper strips cut into little bits, and a bunch of ground paprika. Slap a couple of tablespoons of EVOO in the skillet and the same into the pot. Heat skillet at low heat. Molest the stuff in the skillet into small bits.
Add garlic and red wine into the pot. Also add old herbs and spices — basil, oregano, savory, parsley, and dill. This is your chance to get rid of half-strength vegetation.
When all the meat in the skillet is grey, cram the heat up and lose a bunch of the liquid. When that is done, kill the heat and add all meat to pot.
Quickly stir pot together, and add previously cut sausage to skillet on strong heat. You want them to be browned or blackened on both sides. Typically, they form little cups when first heated, then tan when first flipped, then brown on next flip, then blacken.
When the sausage slices are ready, add to pot — and also add fresh herbs at this stage. Kill the heat, stir, and put a lid on. When reasonably cool, put in covered storage in the fridge.

Anything you have, including leftover rolls. It’s best with something with a rough surface, to help carry the sauce. Garnish with grated parmesan and you’re off to the races.

A couple of doors down from us is an Italian gentleman who made his nut as a lawyer back in the day before this was Silicon Valley. He used to have a large soup pot simmering for days in his kitchen, and freely hand out bowls of soup to neighbors who uniformly named them delicious…..until one neighbor noted that he tossed a half-eaten sandwich into the pot. That’s old-school, the way things have been done for generations……
Sauce-des is significantly more effete and doesn’t include random scraps. It’s just something that is cooked once and eaten that week, like most food was throughout history.

Well, speaking of “great medical minds” – having slept in a Holiday Inn Express several times 😉 – I just realized something.
I went through the “it’s not a stroke” thing, too. It’s exactly where the doctors go looking, and it’s exactly where they don’t find anything by X-ray.
That is VERY similar to the microthrombotic damage by COVID in the lungs, which initially did NOT show up on X-ray, until they learned what COVID lung damage actually looked like on X-rays (and it’s still not readily visible – not like pneumonia, etc.). It’s a very disseminated kind of damage, but it can be visualized.
Interesting that ASPIRIN seems (in my limited experience) to reverse “not a stroke” – as well as other uses in COVID-related problems, such as preventing hospitalization and death.
SO – what if spike protein (COVID or jab or “long COVID = genomic incorporation”) is responsible for a “distributed micro-phenomenon” in the brain, much like in the lungs. AND this microphenomenon could be of either a prion-like OR a microthrombotic OR a micro-vascular-restrictive-anti-neural-supportive nature, just like the ANOSMIA from COVID seems to be.
In other words, “COVID fog” = “anosmia of the brain” = “shortness of breath of the brain”, so to speak.
In other words, perhaps the primary general nastiness of the spike protein is a kind of distributed or disseminated micro-damage, as in the general attack on lung capillary exchange, or the general attack on olfactory neurons.
In still other words, “the COVID stroke is micro-disseminated in nature” – just like COVID pneumonitis and COVID anosmia.
So the “not a stroke” idea is misled by the disseminated nature of COVID damage. It actually is a stroke – but of a COVID nature.
And the problem of course being, that medicine is loath to report the simple idea that we knew all along – that COVID vaccines are disseminating spike protein – that deltoid localization is a lie – and that we’re just mimicking the disease in a bad way by direct injection, that assures vascular dissemination.

Yours Truly agrees 100% with what you say. The spike protein in the “vaccines” is a lab-synthesized and “enhanced” version of the spike protein in the original strain (pre-“vaccines” time period) of COVID-19. IMO, the spike protein of the “vaccines” can be thought of as a “spike protein on steroids.” The issue of the content of the spike protein in both the original strain of the virus and in the “vaccines” can be traced back to the neurotoxins used in the Gain-of-Function experiments at Baric’s lab, the Wuhan lab, and a couple of other labs. IIRC, there was discussion on this blog of snake venom-like neurotoxins and bat-derived neurotoxins that were involved.
IMO, the UN-“vaccinated” who got COVID-19 (either the original strain or the variants) and recovered, at least have a chance to slow / halt / reverse the brain impacts. IMO, the “vaccinated”, whether or not they had a ‘breakthrough case” of COVID, or are getting sick from the damage to their immune systems induced by the “vaccines”, have a potentially much lower chance of doing a slow / halt / reverse — because the “enhanced” spike protein in the “vaccines” have “instructions” to keep forcing their immune systems to produce antibodies.
IMO, one believes the similar to be the case regarding lung damage (and possibly any heart damage) from either the original strain of the virus, and/or the variants, among the UN-“vaccinated” — and the potentially much lower chance among the “vaccinated.” However, Yours Truly has not found any study that looks into other types of neurological damage resulting from persons who had the original strain of COVID-19 and recovered, or UN-“vaccinated” persons who got one or more of the variants and recovered — issues like motor-coordination problems, neuropathy, etc.
The FDA’s VRBPAC committee cannot have been ignorant of the REAL figures of injuries / deaths from the “vaccines” when they met yesterday to “discuss”, then rubber-stamp, the “Future Framework” proposal regarding new COVID-19 “vaccine” development and use. Instead, the “briefing document” for this meeting, issued DURING THE MEETING, a tissue of partial-truths and outright lies, cites “data” that “prove” the “safety and efficacy” of the “vaccines” — while, at the same time, citing the fact that the said “efficacy” of the “vaccines” wanes away pretty quickly.
However, instead of discussing how to develop COVID-19 “vaccines” that use something other than a live spike protein contained in either the mRNA or the adenovirus DNA “delivery” systems, the committee endorsed a plan that will allow, at the discretion of the FDA. new COVID-19 “vaccines” to be almost certainly ONLY using the live virus technologies, AND to be rushed through development and into use without ANY clinical trials having been performed.
OK – wait – mRNA is a virus-like particle, but IMO should not be called “live virus” – that being reserved for an actually infective virus.
BUT it looks like if WHO approves of China’s dead virus vaccine (Sinovac), or Russia’s viral vector vaccine (Sputnik), those are automatically approved by FDA – right?

Someone I know whom I’ve been concerned about because they got jabbed also takes aspirin every day — I think it’s a baby aspirin — and so far, so good. I’m not sure about their spouse; it might be the same situation. I hope aspirin does help.

People who are already taking a blood thinner (warfarin, etc.) must talk to their doctor before starting or resuming taking aspirin, or taking any other drug that has a blood-thinning side effect.

I may be wrong, but I don’t think the X-ray will not provide the information (image) needed to determine the severity of brain damage due to a stroke.
A Cat scan or MRI would be optimal as they provides the layered image at different depths . More to it than I describe I’m sure. I didn’t stay at the Holiday Inn Express. 😅
If autopsies are finding those snake-like blood clots in the larger vessels of the body, stands to reason the system surrounding the brain is experiencing the same. As you are aware, there are several very large vessels (carotids mainly) that carry blood to the brain , even a partial loss can cause a stroke. The very small vessels surrounding the brain is where I’d look for clots doing the paralysis. Starve the brain of blood flow.
IF the clot shot or boosters is giving people brain damage, TPTB would do or say virtually anything to keep that under wraps.
Of course if the dr’s and pathologists are not looking for it they won’t find it.
I had also been wondering about those long and rubbery clots. I’m not sure if those will show up on an x-ray, CAT scan, or MRI, but if they did, that’s one thing to look for. But I suspect there is also some kind of microclotting, too.

Sounds exactly like Lucunar Stroke to me. I have first hand experience. They’re typically blockages in tiny vessels that branch directly off of large vessels.
I’m positive it wouldn’t be seen on an X-ray (and who the heck uses X-rays to diagnose stokes?!).
They are commonly missed on MRIs it seems, unless you’re lucky and a patient at UVA Medical. Depending on the location they occur in the brain, you can go blind or get away with only recoverable balance and/or speech problems. Or die.
It’s good to be aware of the symptoms because they can be indistinct at first, and you won’t think you’re having a stroke. Vision impairment or loss will be sudden, speech will be slurred but one side of the face won’t droop like we were taught to look for. Balance may be intermittent at first, so you may think you just need to lie down for a minute. But the blood pressure will shoot up. And just like Danny said, you won’t remember any of it later.
It is VERY important to check your blood pressure, and if it is higher than normal then call for medical help immediately. Those blood pressure cuffs and little meters that you can buy at the drug store or pretty accurate.
Even the best doctors will assume it’s a plaque blockage, but if you keep pressing they will admit that a blood clot can’t be ruled out. In my case, even if you’re fit and good weight and “good” by their standards cholesterol and they’ve checked your arteries for plaque and determined you’re “clean”….they will still assume it’s plaque and prescribe those d*mn drugs.
I would bet on stroke for Danny, and it wouldn’t be going out on limb to call it a blood clot from the shot. It’s unfortunate for him to be in the care of the great medical minds of Seattle.
OK, this makes a lot of sense, because the “high blood pressure spikes” can be caused by COVID, presumably the spike protein, so it would make sense that it can be from the jabs, too.

I find it ironic and upsetting that most doctors prescribe the anti-clotting drug Plavix to protect against clotting. Plavix is associated with very severe side effects — some even fatal — and it is very expensive. It works no better than using magnesium, omega-3 oils, ginkgo biloba, or garlic extract, all of which have few side effects and are much less expensive.
One condition that has resisted treatment is progressive small vessel strokes involving cerebral arteries in the brain. In the beginning, one typically experiences few symptoms with this condition. But as more of these tiny blood vessels become blocked, a person can experience paralysis, loss of vision, or a gradual loss of mental function. Conventional treatments are hazardous, costly, and rarely work.
As mentioned above, magnesium improves blood flow in these tiny blood vessels, along with reducing inflammation and helping to prevent clotting. Other supplements that can reduce the conditions that lead to small vessel strokes include:

If things continue on with Brandon, the current non-fiscal policy, and the current downturn; existing housing prices will decrease, new construction will crater, and mortgage rates will continue to climb. We have crested the top of the curve and are headed down even in solid, red state economies. Consumer spending is slowing rapidly. Once the crash truly kicks in, people will not be able to sell where they are and move to better areas if they are leveraged and may lose too much equity doing so even if they are not leveraged.

In the coming crash, tenants are going to lose their jobs, or are going to have to take reduced hours and wages, or are going to move to a cheaper place (and the empty unit will be harder to rent unless the monthly rent amount is reduced).
Meanwhile, real estate tax assessments are going up. Even if the “real estate tax rate” remains the same as last year’s rate, the assessment increase will nonetheless increase the real estate tax amount that will be due.

Yours Truly is noticing an uptick of ads on the internet for “tap into your home’s equity” loans and also for “reverse mortgages.” The “reverse mortgages” ads sometimes feature elderly people (who supposedly paid off their mortgage and therefore own the home outright) with smiling faces and holding folds of bills in their hands.
Yep – usually precursors along with an uptick in credit card, finance company, etc. ads.
Reverse is useful in a small number of circumstances, but should only be used as a last resort IMHO.
That’s assuming the renter who is unable or unwilling to vacate actually does. From what I’ve heard owners are being routinely stiffed and the only way to get a nonpaying renter out is to go to court which is costly and if you’re in a blue city….good luck……………….and for all that time..the mortgage still has to be paid to the bank and they don’t care about a renter not paying.
Yes. Yours Truly knows an owner who’s gong to court to try and get a tenant evicted who hasn’t paid the rent for over 6 months. Apparently, the owner has to prove that they gave the tenant every possible opportunity to pay (split payments, pay over time, etc.) for a period of months before filing for court action.
My front neighbor in Ca ended up having to PAY the non paying renter who destroyed the condo with her birds. That’s what going to court did for him, he had to pay…it still kills me
My appraisal went up 61% this year. I wrote a dispute of the amount since it was not in line with what they charged others in my neighborhood. They mostly ignored me and just sent out a final report later at the same increase. They also hired someone new to handle these appraisals. I imagine they noticed I never took down my Trump yard signs. LOL So I eat the increase and get hot dogs for lunch. 🙂

Agree, without going into specific’s. Sold my 4 yr old home six months ago at a nice profit. Ex sold her new built home after 18 months at a really nice profit. We bought a four year old home we were looking at four years ago but couldn’t afford then. Every sale was cash and this was all done in two weeks. What a ride this has been. Got rid of two mortgage’s and moved way up in value with no mortgage now. Win win.
Big win for you! We have folks in our development winning big like that. Getting full price and over offers the first day of listing. People moving in from other areas while they still can with cash and no mortgages. We have folks selling in here at the escalated prices who then downsize their next home and get totally out of debt. Win-win as you say.
Overall, I think the general populace has learned some good lessons through the past two decades. I just caution and mentor the younger crowd to be smart and don’t over buy betting on inflation, betting on two income families to always have two incomes to pay large mortgage payments, to buy and sell at the right times, to never fall in love with real estate, etc. Young people tend to get in heat and do rash things that they regret later, which the piranha feed on.

All cash, no mortgage. I bought my current place and the lot I just sold for cash. I am just a mechanic, no degree here, but my wife has an accounting degree and we always live within our means.
Mechanics are valuable, and that would be a very useful skill to have if everything goes south!

I am looking more to the established “cash” buyers as opposed to the ones depending on a mortgage. We already have a family guest house lined up to move to. We will wait it out with our cash for the market to settle.
For a while, houses in my ‘hood were selling in less than a week. Now they are sitting a lot longer.

The Gorsuch dissent on the Indian case is troubling. He’s the acknowledged expert on that field of law.
I tend to agree with him on that one. The states should not have jurisdiction over tribal lands that were set aside for them. Extradition treaties and such should have been set up long ago. Now I also think the tribal lands should have to stand on their own feet financially in order to be considered sovereign. It was old agreements that were made at the time and should still be honored until renegotiated.

Regarding the death of Michael Stenger, the former Senate sergeant at arms, Snopes (I know, I know) says he was not scheduled to testify at the J6 hearings. And FOX says they “were told” that he had cancer. He was found deceased in his home.
But he was ‘working’ … right?

I know he resigned after J6 because he had come under criticism re: security. Yesterday Josiah & I were back at the University of Michigan Hospital system for a regular Liver Transplant clinic visit. As you may know we’ve been going there for more than 2 1/2 decades so have long experience with hospital norms.
They continue to exert the mask fiction, including an expanded series of questions at the limited entrances (they literally shut off access to some elevators so you have to know your way around when attempting to reach certain sections of the hospital). Most of these “covid questions” are pretty similar to what they would typically ask in a normal cold/flu season where they would require a mask back in the day if one was ill (or perhaps exposed).
Josiah was very agitated at the entrance & stormed past without answering the questions but I did it for him so we could get our “approved to enter” stickers. The person asking the Q’s handed me 2 masks & didn’t make a big deal of J breaking through into the “safe zone”. I NEVER ONCE put on that mask!
I’d been planning on the drive what I’d write on the mask if they Forced me to wear it, as has happened previously even using a security guard to amp up the pressure. Some possible free speech statements were: “covid commie compliant” “mind control device” “deception & control mechanism”…fortunately none was necessary.
The only place I was challenged to put a mask on was in the pharmacy but when I claimed a “medical exemption” she left me alone. J was hit or miss w/ the mask, his choice, & no one said anything to him about it!
The person who took vitals, nurse or physician’s assistant?, was acting like her thinking & communication processes were rather slowed & garbled. It struck me like she had perhaps some sustained oxygen deprivation injury…
When driving home J observed that there were NO Planes visible surrounding Detroit’s Metro Airport. Usually we see roughly a dozen in the air, both coming & going, in the time it takes to drive past. J also looked at the sky & remarked about the lack of clouds, like post 9-11 when planes were grounded. Hours later he mentioned that he’d finally heard a plane (we’re often in one of the flight patterns) but not like usual when he frequently hears them.
Gas was hovering around $5.00/gallon, roughly +/- $0.15-$0.20, perhaps down Slightly.

Update on the family:
Our granddaughter Lilah came home from the hospital on Monday! We’ve been able to spend small amounts of time there a bit each day, such a treat. We are very blessed! Our son is taking family leave until July 11 so they are tag-teaming her care. Both son & daughter-in-law are getting increasing hours of sleep finally–our DIL only got 10 hours of sleep over 5 nights in the hospital–yikes.
Lilah is darling & precious. We spent some brief time there today when my parents were both finally able to visit. Mom stopped by the other day but Dad wasn’t feeling well so he missed that first visit. They are also to be heading to their Cottage today or tomorrow.
My niece Ashley is having challenges with her health that put her back in the hospital with elevated BP, migraine, & vomiting. Her hubby had to get baby Easton, who is doing pretty well now, home from the hospital solo. I still have no news on A’s grandma Marilyn who was rushed to the hospital while A was in labor. Please keep praying for them!
The new parents are not planning to head North this weekend but to visit her sister on the Western part of the state. Our other kids, but not our son-in-law who is cramming for his teaching certificate exams, are coming North for the weekend. We are thankful for this brief respite before hubby begins his new job on July 5th.

This means that unless Putin ends his war some time in the next 5 months, there is a non-trivial chance that oil will hit a record price around $200 – precisely the price the White House is bracing for – a few days before the midterms. While translates into $10+ gasoline.
And while one can speculate how much longer Democrats can continue the “Jan 6” dog and pony show as the entire economy implodes around them, how America will vote in November when gas is double digits should not be a mystery to anyone.

Even though it is late in the day, time for an update on grandson.
Adjustments continue to improve him physically. All is on track with the chiro with his body. PT is done. OT continues. Working on some exercises and techniques he can do at home to improve that skillset. Chiro has identified what she wants him to try CBD wise once the prescribed meds have fully exited his system. Her 22 year old niece has been down this silent seizure path, so she has some good insight from which to work.
The last day of the prescribed med weaning was yesterday. He is totally off the poison as of today. No increase in quantity or severity of seizures. Some days none, some days a couple of mild ones for short periods of 5-15 seconds. All of our observations are that stress and anxiety cause them. Sometimes it appears he is thinking through his response and simply zones out while he does it. We all see it as temporary and will likely stop as his body continues to adapt to the chiro adjustments and retraining.
Besides OT, our next big push is his nutrition. The sensory issues, which were at least partially caused by his spinal situation, have caused appetite and eating issues since birth. We are hiding more nutritious foods in applesauce and yogurt. Going to try a limited amount of 70+% dark chocolate in smoothies with avocado and such blended in since he loves chocolate. We have limited his intake of milk chocolate greatly to reduce caffeine and sugar influence, especially while on the meds.
Caffeine and sugar could be upping anxiety levels! Good move.
Thanks. I battled over this one within the family. But, but, but is all I heard. They kept giving him milk chocolate PediaSures, said his Doc suggested it for added protein and nutrition. I kept on them to at least switch to vanilla and strawberry. Finally they did recently after even the specialist told them no milk chocolate. Then the chiro tells them no milk chocolate and its like, oh, OK, dad was right. Yeah, all along and alone for years. 🤦♂️
Wonderful! Your grandson is fortunate to have such a supportive and determined family who believe in him. So many people don’t have that help and suffer needlessly. They don’t know there is another way and are too depleted to find it on their own.

God does not view time like we do, IMSO, although he can easily grasp our limited view (and have mercy on our limitations). Your prayers at any time cannot change the past relative to the past that you know, but they can (or “did”) change the past relative to all pasts that it could have been.
Stated differently, the fact that you care now matters as much to God as the fact that you cared at times prior to what you regard as causative events.
Your prayers matter at all times, and you have to trust that God reacted to those prayers in a chosen way at all times, past, present and future.
This is really a statement of trust and faith.

Before we were ever born even. So who is to say that our prays now don’t affect what has already happened that will be revealed tomorrow?

It’s clear to me from reading both the New Testament and later Old Testament writings, that Christ deeply understood ideas well beyond this, and was frustrated by contemporary religious leaders who were not thinking deeply about how much was possible with God, as did the prophets, but were instead diminishing the power of God in order to play picayune games like “stump the rube rabbi from Nazareth”.
That actually makes sense to me. Prayer needn’t be limited to a “proper place” in the linear flow of time.
Then, again, I continue to maintain that proper respect in prayer involves proper targeting — e.g. “the niece Ashley of ‘Valerie Curren’ who I know from Qtree, in the Detroit area.” Not that it is beyond the powers of the Almighty to discern, and not that He has not infinitely more time than myself to figure things out, but that expressing myself clearly shows an appreciation of such meager powers of reason He has blessed me with.
