Hope everyone enjoyed this Independence Day Weekend. I was moved to tears & praise to our God while viewing an abbreviated fireworks show over Otsego Lake in Northern Michigan–so very thankful for our freedoms that come to us from our Heavenly Father.
Today my husband, Michael, Finally starts his new job. He will be driving fuel trucks for a local supplier of an out-of-state company. One of his friends already works there & he & the boss are Very Excited for my hubby to come on board! Hope it’s Great!!!
It’s been a long & convoluted journey since the end of February, when he last was employed. Truck driving school & the state generated delays in testing made the process take longer than anticipated. Thankfully he was available to be present w/ family needs…
God has been so good to sustain us through these challenging times. We have had many prayers for our job transition situation & then for hospital scenarios for our new baby granddaughter & my neice’s new baby son. Thank you so much for your many prayers & encouragements on my family’s behalf.
It will be good to get back home in a few days. In the meantime my son Josiah & I, my parents, & my baby brother (6’4″) & his wife remain in Northern Michigan for a lingering “respite”. There will be lots to do to prepare the Cottage for my aunt’s gang who is to come up for the weekend for an annual family reunion on her late husband’s side.
As many of us as are able plan to return to the Gaylord area for Labor Day to once again do the Mackinac Bridge Walk, this time in honor of Aunt Pat’s 85th birthday. We last did this in honor of my dad’s 80th just before the scamdemic.
Being in Northern Michigan is always a blessing & the Cottage will Always hold a special place in my heart as Michael & I were living here when our first son, Nathaniel, was born–our own “Jack Pine Savage”. Hopefully he & his expanding family will be able to head North over the Labor Day holiday so that we can get Baby Lilah on the wall, nearby where her dad’s height was marked at just One day old!
We have Josiah’s wedding coming up near the end of the month, lots of bills to pay, many tasks to attend to, & plenty of adjustment to hubby’s new career path. Thank you for praying for any of our needs, as the Lord might bring them to mind.
God has already answered many prayers! Lilah & Easton are both home from the hosptial & doing well. Ashely is getting some relief from migraines & healing up from the C-Section. Marilyn, A’s other G-Ma, is back in her assisted living facility. My brother C & his wife D are in the midst of closing on their Dallas home & getting their new construction Tulsa home situated so they only need to move once.
We would so appreciate prayers for Judy, who was hospitalized a couple days ago w/ kidney infection issues. She was a prayer warrior when I was pregnant with our twins, repeatedly beseaching heaven for “TWO Babies”, where God graciously allowed our medically fragile son Josiah to survive (& eventually “thrive”) through Many challenges. Also pray for neighbor Bob up here, who was recently widowed. His late wife was a Believer & Bob is becoming open to the Lord & the hope of being reunited with his wife in eternity. We so desire his salvation & my hubby’s brother Dave’s as well…
God Bless You ALL & continue to pour out His Spirit, Healing, Comfort, Strength, Truth, Mercy, Love & Justice in this tumultuous time!

Congratulations on Michaels new Driving job, from what I understand fuel deliveries are a highly sought after position as they require the more rigorous safety conscious, dedicated and professional of the available driver pool. This of course leads to even more training and more $$ down the road. In time, with experience more doors of opportunity will become found that may need opened.

His friend has only been on this job for 3 months & is already up for a promotion. There are regular reviews & potential raises too. 🙂 M hadn’t gotten a review or raise in like 7 years. His prior boss, before the last boss, was working on getting him a raise (the company was notoriously tight-fisted) when he died at his desk…& that raise apparently died with him. When Michael left his boss wanted to know “what it would take” to keep him on…but at that point M was determined to move on. Ironically within a week of his departure the (new, bought out) company announced regular reviews & annual raises (less than keeping up w/ cost of living, but better than people have had in Many years). Perhaps losing someone who’d been there 25 years lit a fire under someone.
Ironically hubby’s old job has been split between 2 1/2 people. One is the boss’s girlfriend & according to our son who still works there it appears that the boss is taking on multiple things that M used to do. I guess it’s all good! When M first accepted that position it had been poorly handled between 3 people. He spent A Lot of time & energy getting it into a more managable & efficient process & was blessed to have possible monthly bonuses for a change!

For us older folks, green tea looks like a MUST HAVE.
You can buy the extract but I prefer to pre-heat an old 1 quart pyrex measuring pitcher with hot tap water. I then empty the pitcher, add a heaping teaspoon of GunPowder Green and pour boiling water over the loose green tea. I just leave it covered on the counter while eating breakfast and then pour it into a glass jar.
It gets added to my breakfast tea and my iced tea. I go through the pitcher in a couple days.
And if you need that caffeine punch to jump start the morning..

Here were I live people blasted rockets in the air and celebrated for almost 3 hours last night. The year before almost nothing.
A page refresh may fix that problem. Happens to me when the page is about to turn over to another page, but I have lots of RAM. Someone the other day talking to phoenix mentioned clearing cookies and offered something to fix that quickly without loosing her sign in’s which was making her reluctant to clear cookies. I didn’t read the exact solution but it was likely just delete cookies as opposed to the higher step of delete temp files which would likely delete sign ins as well as cookies (ackkk may be the other way around, not sure). Maybe some one who was in on that can clarify.
I didn’t see that conversation, but I can say that allowing the page for this site to read third-party cookies is needed to get the notifier to work.
Was me. You can go in and delete cookies for a specific website. I’ve been doing it a long time to get around twit wall. BJ’s workaround is much better. Select login, then hit X. Though it may be a pain and you have to sign in again, I’m for periodically clearing all cookies. There’s so much junk, it could clear up a bunch of problems.
My hubby did his specialty pork ribs in the smoker on Saturday, keeping himself occupied all day. He makes his own rub & a barbeque sauce both of which he put together at home. He trimmed the membranes off the ribs (the dog Loved them!) & then rubbed in the spices letting them soak in for more than a day. He smoked them w/ a combo of apple & hickory chips & periodically sprinkled/sprayed on apple juice. At one point he put them meat side down in a butter/brown sugar/apple juice concoction. They were literally fall off the bone perfection. Some people have said they are the best ribs they have Ever eaten! What an amazing treat!
He was back home the evening of the 4th & he said that there were so many fireworks going off that it sounded like a War Zone! The fireworks over the lake were a bit scaled back but still very lovely going on for about 1/2 hour. A nice show for a small community!

It was good. I wished my oldest son, daughter-in-law, & new grandbaby could have come. My brother’s oldest daughter, son-in-law, & grandbaby didn’t come either. His second oldest didn’t come, but she’s missed a number of times lately. His second youngest daughter, who’s heading to Florida for college almost just after Josiah’s wedding, was having a pretty hard time, wanting it to be like “old times” of her growing up; probably feeling nostalgic since she knows that once she leaves she might never really come back…

I have ribs in the freezer (Lamb & goat) that I have to figure out how to cook. Goat soup with brown rice for dinner tonight. I soaked the meat in wine and spices for a bout a week before cooking.
That sounds pretty yummy to me! I don’t think I’ve ever eaten goat, but we eat lamb “fairly” regularly with Arabic food around here. There is a local restaurant, Cedarlands, that has an Amazing Ceasar’s Platter that used to feed our family of 6 for $20 some dollars…& we’d get a few lunches from the leftovers. Great stuff!

‘Western’ Media Spread Copium To Prolong The War In Ukraine
The war in Ukraine is clearly progressing in Russia’s favor. That is why I am appalled by the incompetent descriptions in ‘western’ media of past and current operations in that war.

Well, Toby is not going to get a satisfactory answer, because he’s excluding “conspiracy theories”.
To find an answer, one must look through ALL THEORIES and exclude those not backed by evidence. The correct answer will almost certainly include some conspiratorial reasoning and behavior by somebody – it just won’t include ALL possible “conspiracies”.
People automatically create conspiracy because they deceive others and themselves by their very nature. Denying this is a natural response, but it is self-deception.
Stated more simply:
Most conspiracy theories are wrong, or only partially true. However, one of them is going to be correct. The fact that the bulk of theories involving conspiracy are either wrong or incomplete, does not negate the correct theory, nor the extreme likelihood that a theory explaining evidence of large-scale criminality is going to involve conspiracy.
The problem is that people don’t understand how real conspiracies work. They assume that all players in the conspiracy understand the conspiracy deeply. This is the opposite of the truth. Most players are DECEIVED.
Working conspiracies do not share knowledge – they work via a stack of deceptions which depend on LIMITING knowledge to as many people as possible, including almost ALL players in the conspiracy. Real conspiracies let players motivate themselves and the people “below” them with the objects of their choice. Players motivate the “stack” of intervening players below them with things such as money, power, virtue, blamelessness, etc. But up near the top, there is a higher motivation which drives the initiating players. That motivation will likely have direct connection to the basic outcome.
The basic outcome here is limiting human population by introduction of a virus that kills old people mostly, followed by vaccination of everybody, including the young, with the age-and-fertility-limiting pathogen instead of the correct therapy (disease, treatment, and immunity).
Population control. It’s THAT SIMPLE.
