This is a good thread, and it highlights some of the things I’ve been saying since election night. Things like: There will be no resistance 2.0. The sane dems will come to support major parts of Trumpism. This period reminds me of the fall of the Berlin wall. The lying legacy media destroyed itself during the election. The lying legacy media continues to dig their hole deeper by how they are reacting to the loss and Trump’s nominees. The gop establishment are still a bit delusional and think they can stand in the breech. This isn’t 2016 And while the thread doesn’t draw any conclusions, it’s clear that most have no idea what’s about to hit them come Jan 20th. We will see a blitzkrieg like we have never seen before. How are you feeling and how’s the voice?
We’ve got some annoying bugs running through the family & the area. My daughter & her hubby & daughter have been fighting one version for nearly 3 weeks. Hubby & I are going on about 2 1/2 weeks of yuck with coughing & congestion. Hubby thought his might have been a flu w/ some fever & body aches. A friend’s friend attended a home-based Bible study & caught a very nasty bug that laid her low for 11 days. My parents caught some bug that had their noses running profusely. It’s strange but we all gathered on Thanksgiving, well just the family, & most of us the following Sunday for birthdays, but the various illnesses are manifesting rather differently, even for those of us in the same households. Both Hubby & I have barely been sick since our 1st bout with Covid in late 2020. Having a form of longhaulers might be causing some type of “viral interference” keeping other bugs somewhat at bay…hmmm…
Sally Q got a RSV virus infection while in the hospital – and she gave it to me. Her other caregiver is singing in her church Christmas Cantata this Friday night – we are hoping she and her family do not get it.

When my special needs son was an infant he was hospitalized twice w/ RSV, scary at the time. I hope it’s less intense in an adult, though given your daughter’s other vulnerabilities it’s no fun to add RSV on top of everything else. Hope you are both doing well, considering all. Feeling a lot better other than allergies in the house. I’m in the market for HEPA filters. Dad didn’t have the vents cleaned when the new furnace complete with new blower went in, and 30+ years of build up…COUGH COUGH COUGH.
Once I’m really back ( I have a plan), the house is getting a thorough cleaning. The big impediment is the sheer amount of furniture in it. Moving enough to get to a floor takes 20 minutes.

TL;DR – the secret to understanding the USS Liberty Incident is not “betrayal by Israel” – it’s betrayal by the United States.
Sure, there was betrayal of our sailors by both sides, but it is that exact “AND logic” that rescues the truth in this case.
My new take – people who were too cowardly to simply stand up for Israel, came up with a cowardly plot to justify doing what they wanted to do, and their cowardice led to a cowardly betrayal of our own soldiers.
Ya gotta watch this. It would almost be unbelievable prior to what we’ve seen the last few years, but not any more. This guy is entirely believable, and I think he’s right.

Trump is much better at having the guts to do the right thing openly, and very, very early. VSG. We are now spoiled. Both Presidents are/were Zionists. Both are/were “America First”. The problem with LBJ is that he was not brave or moral enough to reject the sneaky easy path that “only betrayed one ship worth of men”. No true Commander in Chief would do that, IMO. Yes, there are horrible realities like sacrifices made to preserve the secret that we had broken Enigma. But shooting your own side – or even worse having a weak but desperate ally do it – instead of manning up to support one’s own true policy – these options need to be rejected.
One can argue that a desperate Israel manipulated a corrupt LBJ, or vice versa, but I would say “AND logic” to that one, too.
And it is the uncovering of such cowardly plots in the past, that has made people afraid of Trump.
The way I see it, they both (the US and Israel) cooked up the plan, and when it failed, they covered up by going to “Plan B” – Israel takes some kind of false blame where it was an accident.
Basically, the “lab leak” (Plan B) instead of deliberate release (reality), when “natural pandemic” (Plan A) failed.
Basically “massive incompetence by Washington” (Plan B) instead of entrapment and destruction of Trump’s movement (reality) when “insurrection by Trump’s supporters” (Plan A) failed.
Same for the Butler PA assassination attempt.
IMO, Plan A – cooked up by forces in both governments – was to sink an American spy vessel, blame it on an Arab nation, and get America involved on Israel’s side. Middle America was already quite pro-Israel on the war (at least around me), so if the sinking had been done quickly and blamed on Egypt or somebody else, it would have worked, IMO.
The problem (beyond the technical failure to sink the vessel quickly and cleanly) is that Israel was so dependent on the US, in so many ways, despite propaganda to the opposite (that Israel was utterly independent), that they were quite willing to go along with “Plan B” where they take blame in various ways, if there’s a problem with Plan A.
This is very similar to the nuclear problem, where European Jews driven away by the Nazis “allowed” America to create the bomb (some might say “steered us into it”), and Israel having its own limited nuclear capability in return, would have served to preserve the state of Israel, but the US decided that the fuzzy goal of nonproliferation was more important, and waffled on commitment to the Israel “solution” of a permanent homeland for Jews. – which would have seriously been made permanent by a nuclear deterrent.
The US was always willing to lie for effect, often to present an image of fairness, uninvolvement, neutrality, etc., when it was far from the case. This is exactly the same thing I saw with Affirmative Action. They had a plan, which was ready to betray anybody at any point, and nobody, nor any reality, was going to be allowed to get in the way. And “they” was a bunch of evil, greedy, and corrupt people – many thinking they were doing the right thing – not just “the Jews”.
It’s important (IMO) not to let Candace Owens’ reflexive suspicion of Jews (or antisemitism, if one wants to call it that) get in the way of the fact that she found some really valuable stuff here, which I personally never looked at closely enough to realize. For me, the key is that all sorts of Americans were in on the plot – not just to cover up, but very likely from the very beginning. That’s the part that clicks for me. MOTIVE. There was a real motive on our side.
Large systems committed to carrying out bogus and deceptive “solutions”, schemed and initiated at the top, in secret, are a problem. A serious, deadly, and murderous problem.

All love to you, Wolf, but I really hope someone who watches will summarize for me. I can’t listen to Candace for an hour. Her voice (and her smug manner) just grates my nerves.
She interviews an outspoken survivor of the USS Liberty attack who details how it appears Israel deliberately targeted them & the US government started to intervene & pulled back multiple times. He & other survivors were threatened with death if they ever spoke about it. They are making the point that Israel isn’t exactly an ally & multiple US leaders are/have been more concerned w/ staying in Israeli good graces than protecting our own people.

What am I supposed to take from this? In 1967, the Israelis bombed a U.S. ship that was watching while there were “war crimes” committed. I have difficulty with the concept of war crimes. It’s war. “Innocent” people are hard to identify in war zones. Who is innocent? How many “innocent” people have American troops killed in war? Should other countries, our allies, condemn us for it? As America formed as a new country, what kind of shit did we do in pursuit of that? Want to ask some Indians?
Our government, supposedly in order not to embarrass the Israelis who blew up the ship that the U.S. government put there, covered up the incident. But were they covering for Israel, or for their own asses for putting the the ship there without proper protection in the first place? Do I really believe LBJ was protecting an ally? Or was he protecting himself. I personally think he was a war-mongering shit.

Well, I’m pretty much in the dark. He refers to things that can’t be released, so I don’t know if we’ll ever get the truth.
It’s very simple.
1) Pick the most damaging document possible, whatever they want to hide so badly that it makes them piss themselves a little bit, just thinking about it
2) Pick the highest official in charge of that particular document
3) Call that person to your office and order him to release the document to the public 5 minutes after he leaves your office, or he is fired.
If they refuse, fire them on the spot for disobeying a direct order, and have them thrown off taxpayer owned property by whoever is standing around with a gun.
If the document isn’t released 5 minutes after the official leaves, send someone with a gun to tell him he’s fired for incompetence, and throw him off taxpayer owned property.
Then move on to the next highest ranking official, and repeat this process, every 5 minutes, until the document is released.
At that pace, 12 government officials can be fired per hour. By the end of the day, that would be 96 government officials thrown out on the street, along with all the crap from their offices.
Then begin the night shift.
Alternately, you could just go get the document yourself and release it, but that would eliminate the fun of confronting all of these traitors and firing them.

I don’t understand why someone doesn’t do something. It’s great that J.D. Vance went there and promised help when the Trump administration gets in power, but there should be serious investigations now into FEMA, the Strategic Security Corporation, and who is giving the orders, who is getting paid, and why they aren’t helping the residents. Those people need to be hauled out of their positions so someone can go in there and give the residents what they need. Something is very wrong. If the government or some agency is trying to take over the land, that could be revealed right now.
What is sinister to me is the people who are “working” there. They know that residents are in dire need of help, yet they deny them aid and keep people out. What kind of people do that? It’s as if they’re automatons, and I believe something evil is going on.

I may have mentioned these before…..
Man’s desire to move large quantities of goods to-and-fro across the countryside long exceeded his ability to do so. At first, there were roads and wagons — but real bulk freight needed things like canals (inland waterways) and railroads.
To put a couple of points on the timeline, the 350-mile Erie Canal, which traverses much of New York, was opened in 1825. Stephenson’s Rocket railroad locomotive passed early feasibility trials in 1829. Clearly, canals were earlier and the more sophisticated option in the early 1800s — the Erie Canal had 34 locks with a total elevation change of about 565 feet.
Being at the forefront of the Industrial Revolution, Britain was moving quite a bit of bulk materials hither-and-yon in the 1800s, and quite a bit was moved on canals. Once railways and trucking became common, these were often abandoned….but now find themselves reopened for recreation. One of the peculiar types of canal watercraft that was popular in Britain was the narrowboat [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narrowboat ]. Most other countries had wider and more voluminous barges or canal boats, but many of Britain’s older locks were only seven feet wide — and the boats were, accordingly, limited to 6’10” in external width. [By contrast, the locks on the Erie Canal were fifteen feet when built.] Further, some canals incorporated tunnels (I know of no other countries that did that) so the height was also limited.
Mind you, these canal boats were not motorized early on — locomotives were the first to demonstrate the practicality of mounting an engine on a conveyance. Instead, the canal boats were towed using draft animals on adjacent towpaths. In tunnels, it was not uncommon to lay a board across the boat and have men lay on the board and walk along the walls of the tunnel to move the boat along (hence the expression, “legging it”).
It may have been growing up in the household of a Civil Engineer in Southern California when I did, but transportation has long been fascinating to me.

Interesting. I think the opening of the Erie Canal was what lead to some of my ancestors migrating from NY to MI so that they could homestead in that relatively newly opened territory.
It seems that many times transportation routes take advantage of existing pathways. My dad was on a Boy Scout adventure on Isle Royale in Lake Superior off of MI’s UP. They were using the designated pathways to go between different nightly camping locations. One day one of the scoutmasters decided that he would cut across country “as the crow flies” as a “shortcut” to the next camp site. Well the boys & other scoutmaster(s?) arrived at the next site hours before the guy who went rogue. Eventually that lone man stumbled into camp with his clothing filthy & torn with a wild look in his eyes that still haunts my dad about 70 years later. We don’t know what he encountered on his “shortcut” but it clearly terrified him. I don’t know if the wolves were back on Isle Royale then or not as a natural way to keep the larger mammal populations under control. Supposedly one Winter Lake Superior froze over & a pack of wolves made their way onto the island so that a more natural animal balance was maintained by that wilderness.

When Dad was there he entered an old mine works with a couple of buddies. For some reason their lights went out but they kept walking for a while along mine tracks, I believe. At one point Dad stopped walking & realized that he was on the edge of a vertical shaft. They found a stone to drop & counted Many long seconds before it finally hit bottom. Whenever Dad tells this story it is called “One step from death” & I am thankful that he survived so that his 20 descendants, so far, might be blessed with the gift of life too 🙂

Rt 2 in MA is the old Mohawk trail. It goes right past Johnny Appleseed’s birth place. I used to ride past the place marker and in the old apple orchards.
One day at work I mentioned the new offices were within walking distance of the marker. The Chem Engineer thought Johnny was a myth so I sent him to see the marker.

I lived near the Erie Canal and used to ride my horse along the canal. One day I saw an exhausted Golden in the canal. I grabbed his collar to give him a bit of a boost but he went limp. So I had a nervous thoroughbred in one hand and a limp wet golden in the other. To this day I do not know how I got that dog onto dry land. (I was 13 and weighed maybe 100 lbs.)

Part of their problem is that rare earths aren’t particularly rare. And rare earth ores aren’t unique to China. What China has is a near monopoly on rare-earth refining — and that’s because it’s messy. If we were willing to enslave half our population and throw a large percentage into toxic sludge death pits, we could produce rare earths cheaper than they could.

The thing about the rare earths is based on electron “orbitals” — places where electrons can reside in modern physics. These are grouped in “shells”. All the orbitals in one shell fill up with electrons in stable atoms until they’re full — and then they start on the next shell.
The first shell is the s shell, which has a capacity of two electrons. The first element, hydrogen, has one electron in its s shell. The second element is helium, and it has two electrons in its s shell. After that, the s shell is full. The second shell is the p shell, which has a capacity of six electrons. The second row of the periodic table has eight elements, corresponding to an s and a p shell, 2 + 6.
After adding another shell (d) and filling it, things go weird. Where every previous shell has been on the outside of the atom, where it interacts with other atoms in well-defined ways, the next shell ( f ) has a more subtle way of interacting. This makes the chemical separation of lanthanides (“rare-earths”) a pain-in-the-tuchis.
Separating the rare earths involves lots of chemicals, lots of waste, lots of energy, lots of chemistry, lots of knowledge, and creates lots of pollution. That’s why the country where most rare earths were discovered (Sweden) doesn’t do it, and a country with significant mines (US) doesn’t do it — it’s all been farmed off to China.
That doesn’t say it can’t be done in the US or anywhere else, it’s just China has lower environmental standards. I’m not sure if that’s enough to pull-off economic blackmail on this scale.

The thing is that one’s understanding builds as pieces fit — Steve’s understanding is superior to mine in several respects. I’m burdened by what I was taught in the dark ages.
OTOH, I have some advantages with practical applications. Back in the day, I was working for a company that made Erbium-Doped-Fiber Amplifiers.
You start out with fiber. This is fiberoptic ultra-pure silicon fiber that has two different optical windows — 1310nm and 1550nm. It’s a stock product used everywhere in the world.
Then you distribute erbium atoms in a segment of this fiber. ONLY ERBIUM WORKS — any of the other rare earths will make it work less, or not at all.
The reason that erbium works is that it has electron slots that are the proper distance apart. The magic happens when a proper photon (980nm) hits your erbium atom and knocks one of its electrons from one slot to another with higher energy. It’s then “cocked”.
When another photon comes by with the proper energy to “pull the trigger”, the electron falls back into its usual state and releases a new 1550nm photon. Both the trigger photon and the new photon exit the device, showing “amplification”.
If 90% of the 1550 photons just pass through, then you only get 10% amplification — but that’s pretty good for a quirk of physics.
The reason only Erbium works is that it’s electron slots are the proper distance apart. There may be other rare earth materials that can accept a 980nm photon boost, but they might trigger with a 1260nm proton or release a 1640nm proton after being triggered.
And that gets us into the value of these rare earths…. The energy state gaps of the f orbitals are particularly suited to movements from absorbing and releasing photons with useful optical wavelengths.

A couple of minor corrections, The shells are numbered. The letters correspond to orbitals…subshells. Shell 1 has an s orbital (it’s not the s shell), which functions as you described. It’s called the 1s orbital. Shell 2 has a second s orbital (2s) and a p orbital (2p). Shell three has 3s, 3p and 3d orbitals, but the 3d orbital won’t start filling until shell 4’s s orbital (4s) is filled. That’s why you don’t go directly into filling the 3d orbital after magnesim (the element that just fills the 3s orbital). The fourth shell has an f orbital, 4f, but it won’t begin filling until after 6s is filled (barium just fills the 6s); then after it fills, the 5d orbital fills (I hope I counted that right), then the 6p.
The 4f orbital being filled is the lanthanides. Interstingly the first column of the d block is also considered rare earths (scandium, yttrium, lutetium) as well.
That’s ok — when I learned it, it was a number of shakes of a shell rattle and a particular grimace behind the spirit mask.

We’re all trained to put the seat down in my house but our counter’s too small for all that stuff, thankfully. The guys’ shaving stuff takes up more space than my toothbrush
we have a medicine chest above the sink that stores the cream and hair products for both of us and a cabinet below for the electric appliances.
only thing on the counter is our toothbrushes in a holder and hand soap in a dispenser.
easier to keep clean.
oh did I also mention that at our ages we are both gorgeous without the extra fluff…LOL
Our house didn’t have a medicine chest in the bath just a flat mirror. We bought an over toilet cabinet, where hubby keeps lots of his stuff. We have a built in cabinet that I have overfull w/ lots of stuff. There’s a small end table that perfectly fits between the sink & indented wall that has a drawer & some shelves that mostly contain Hubby’s stuff. Some of our son’s stuff (he lives with us half the time now) is along the window ledge.

Our daughter and SIL had a regular progress meeting for Grandson $2 with his teachers and school admin yesterday. He is in second grade. He makes straight As and is satisfactory to excellent in all other categories. He was elected “king” of his classroom – popular with the rest of the kids and staff.
In the meeting they said he was not testing well in state proficiency exams in Language Arts. Our daughter asked them why he makes straight’s A’s in class in English and Spelling if that was the case? They said he is doing the classroom work great, but with the state assessment exam he struggles, “…like all of the other students in second grade.” Having been a former teaching assistant for 3 years in another local district, daughter asked if they have been covering the material in the state assessment test in class. Well, of course not, but they planned to start doing so. Yeah, OK, like you planned to do for years with Grandson #1?
Earth to school system and state; we have a problem you are apparently clueless to resolve. Once again – it is the test they use. It does not cover the same curriculum or use similar formatting as the school system employs the entire school year.
The only question that remains is when he will be homeschooled like Grandson #1, who continues to excel. I am guessing they will let #2 finish the school year. They are building an addition on the house with a multi-purpose room for homeschooling purposes among other usages. Eventually all three of their children will be educated well at home unless PDT and his people can make a massive overhaul.
Amazing school people blind spots & extreme lack of common sense. Your grands are Way Better Educated & cared for on the home front! Kudos to you & family 🙂
I didn’t do well in Language Arts on standardized tests, either. Turns out I have a learning disability that I managed to get around until college.
I hope she does homeschool the little guy. I’ve seen a lot of good results with that.
Thanks for sharing, DePat. As a family we have moved past tests as the primary measure of learning. They have value, but achieving good test scores is secondary with us. Learning well is what we seek. We want him to desire to learn and to focus on the how and why he should do that, not on learning to test well. So it makes sense to do the same with #2 and later, the baby.
The school production line method is of no interest to us. No more leftist grooming and programing allowed. We can tailor to the person. #1 does 3.5 hours per day of core curriculum 4-5 days per week plus music lessons and some OT. We teach no more than one or two subjects at a time. Our goal is to have him ready to take on the world from a position of strength in his character, mind and heart – not depend on institutions and government to get him there.

EXCELLENT! Kids should not be forced to sit for hours and hours and then have to go home and sit some more doing homework. Young animals, by nature run and PLAY and build up coordination and muscles as well as learn..
FWIW, I found that one course in summer school (German) where I could really focus on learning a subject difficult for me worked best.
I sometimes think our school system is DESIGNED to be as obstructive to learning as possible… No, I KNOW it is! Why? Because an inquiring mind is DANGEROUS to those who would hold power in an iron grip.
My sister-in-law homeschooled their 5 kids 3-4 hours/day M-F. They did field trips, projects, volunteering, etc. in many of the off hours. There was a Christian homeschool co-op that had several classes in a church setting one day a week, each taught by parents in an area of expertise, so they got labs, socialization, arts, & other benefits.
This is the route we are taking as a family, Val. Our church is in the process of starting a homeschool group that will lead to the co-op concept. Looking forward to it starting.

FB seems to change the rules all the time, so I don’t know if mentioning the QTree would get you censored. For a long time, FB didn’t allow ivermectin to be discussed, so the group couldn’t talk about it, even though most of us used it. That’s no longer true, so something has changed.

GA/FL, I wasn’t really on FB either, but found it useful to get on because of my need to find more information on using fenbendazole effectively. The cancer group is also easy to join. As long as you have cancer or are a caregiver of someone with cancer, you’ll be accepted into the group. I think once I applied, it only took a few hours before I was accepted.
However, I tried to distill a lot of the information I got from the group into my article. In looking at Sally Q’s med list, I note she is on metformin. One of the items I used in my own protocol was berberine, but it shouldn’t be taken by someone on metformin. It’s not a critical supplement, though, just another one that has anticancer qualities.
I copied your entire (great!!!) article, your regimen, etc. Still digesting all the information.

Oops – it was Serrapeptase, not Berbarine.
I don’t think Sally can take Berberine with Eliquis and there is a reason I forgot that she can’t take Serrapeptase….
Yeah, if you’re on a blood thinner you can’t take serrapeptase. She should use pectasol instead. Berberine isn’t absolutely necessary, it’s just an additional supplement with anticancer qualities. But there are a lot of them. She’s on metformin, so she shouldn’t take berberine.
What do you think about DMSO?
I don’t know much about it. But I do know that people with brain cancers use it with fenben because it goes through the blood brain barrier. Trade Bait and Bakocarl seem to know a lot about DMSO. Maybe they’ll pop in and share.
I would avoid HCQ, personally. Not only is is not very well known to have anticancer capabilities (unlike fenben and ivermectin) – it’s a lot like acetaminophen (Tylenol), in that just a few too many pills can lead to dangerous overdoses.
IMO it is safer and more effective to stick to fenbendazole and ivermectin.
Green tea and zinc are also safer as an antiviral, IMO, than HCQ.
Zinc is very personal. I cannot take anywhere near 50 mg. I take around 10-15 mg daily. More than that causes a variety of symptoms I don’t like. But some people are fine with 20-50 mg. Is the amount she’s taking part of a study? If so, I would be tempted to just leave it alone, if it doesn’t cause her symptoms. But if she always feels bad after taking it, you may want to discuss reducing it with the doctors. 50 mg is a lot, IMO.

IMO — STAY AWAY FROM HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE.
It can have MAJOR interactions with heart medicines, especially ones that control heart rhythm and/or atrial fibrillation.
Yours Truly was taking Hydroxychloroquine (under MD supervision) back in 2021 as a COVID-19 prophylactic. I was swtiched to Ivermectin because the Hydroxychloroquine (even at the small dose I was taking) was causing palpitations and told the MD.
50mg Zinc per day is a LOT of Zinc. IMO, I would use that amount only for the first 5 days of a confirmed COVID-19 infection. For an example of a daily dose — I take 25mg Zinc.
My belief is that Ivermectin + Fenben + supplements are the way to go in terms of alternative cancer treatment.
I go to http://www.drugs.com/ and look up the things I’m taking. I always read the “Medical Professional” parts of the Side Effects and Interactions listings. That’s where the REAL information on these is found.

Be very careful with green tea extract – it can cause liver problems. Green tea itself is weaker and therefore tends not to cause problems. The extracts are a common supplement causing liver problems – especially if people take both green tea extracts and have some other supplement which also contains green tea extracts, or if they drink green tea to excess at the same time. Fortunately the liver toxicity is reversible by simply not taking it any longer.

Side story, on my flight to Ca the other day ,sat next to a nurse who started a home health biz right before the scamdemic. She operates right outside of San Diego. She knew something wasn’t right about the treatment. She said the ventilators were killing people and that the nursing homes usually have the same air from every room and common area circulating infecting them plus not allowing them to get fresh air and see families killed so many.
Once she saw that she didn’t trust a word coming from Fauci and the CDC. They lost no patients at her facility and never pushed the vax on any patients unless they requested it.
She said her only employee that got the jab now has chronic heart trouble.
Anyway, it was good talking to someone in the belly of the beast that just said..no thanks to the lies and saved some old folks by doing so.
Gotta run..my daughters dog ate my charging unit for this laptop. Running on fumes until I get a replacement.

Well, I successfully accomplished the big projects I needed to do without The Fiancee around. I replaced the HVAC thermostat and cooked a pound of bacon I got from the supermarket bargain bin.
Then she came home and said that she had to go into the office tomorrow as well.
Another one day project just became doable for tomorrow. (Pardon this smart ass)
A pound? That’s about two days breakfast for me.

How This Cancer Drug Could Make Radiation a Slam Dunk Therapy
UCSF scientists combine a precision drug therapy with an antibody and radiation to eliminate tumors without causing side effects.

Radiation is one of the most effective ways to kill a tumor. But these therapies are indiscriminate, and they can damage healthy tissues.
Now, UC San Francisco scientists have developed a way to deliver radiation just to cancerous cells. The therapy combines a drug to mark the cancer cells for destruction and a radioactive antibody to kill them.
It wiped out bladder and lung tumors in mice without causing lethargy or weight loss – the typical side effects of radiation therapy.
“This is a one-two punch,” said Charly Craik, PhD, a professor of pharmaceutical chemistry at UCSF and co-senior author of the study, which appears Dec. 10 in Cancer Research. “We could potentially kill the tumors before they can develop resistance.”
A cancer drug becomes a molecular flag for cancer
The project began 10 years ago when UCSF’s Kevan Shokat, PhD, discovered how to attack KRAS, a notorious cancer-causing protein. When mutated, KRAS spurs out-of-control cell growth. Such mutations lead to up to a third of all cancer.

Shokat’s breakthrough led to the development of drugs that latched onto cancerous KRAS. But the drugs could only shrink tumors for a few months before the cancer came roaring back.
The drugs stayed bound to KRAS, however, and Craik, wondered whether they might make cancer cells more “visible” to the immune system.
“We suspected early on that the KRAS drugs might serve as permanent flags for cancer cells,” Craik said.
In 2022, a UCSF team that included Craik and Shokat demonstrated this was indeed possible.
The team designed an antibody that recognized the unique drug/KRAS surface fragmentand beckoned to immune cells.
But the approach needed the immune system to have the strength to beat the cancer by itself, which turned out not to be that effective.
Bringing atomic-level radiation to cancer cells
Around the same time, Craik began working with Mike Evans, PhD, a professor of radiology at UCSF, to develop a different approach to destroy cancer cells.
They still used the K-RAS drug to flag cancerous cells, but this time they armed the antibodies with radioactive payloads.
The combination worked, eliminating lung cancer in mice with minimal side effects.
“Radiation is ruthlessly efficient in its ability to ablate cancer cells, and with this approach, we’ve shown that we can direct it exclusively to those cancers,” Evans said.
Added Craik, “The beauty of this approach is that we can calculate an extremely safe dose of radiation. Unlike external beam radiation, this method uses only the amount of radiation needed to beat the cancer.”
A radiation therapy for all patients
To make this therapy work in most patients, scientists will have to develop antibodies that account for the different ways that people’s cells display KRAS.
The UCSF team is now working on this – motivated by their own evidence that it can work.
Kliment Verba, PhD, an assistant professor of cellular and molecular pharmacology at UCSF, used cryo-electron microscopy to visualize the ‘radiation sandwich’ in atomic detail, giving the field a structure to develop even better antibodies.
“The drug bound to the KRAS peptide sticks out like a sore thumb, which the antibody then grabs,” said Verba, who like Craik is a member of UCSF’s Quantitative Biosciences Institute(QBI). “We’ve taken a significant step toward patient-specific radiation therapies, which could lead to a new paradigm for treatment.”

He was saying something about targeted treatment that is so effective & inexpensive, like $5000 for the treatment, that they only can use it on the seriously ill, like stage 4, because otherwise it’s not economically viable. I could use some help. My SIL’s blood work has strong indications that she has leukemia. Is there any protocol using supplements of which any of you are aware? She is no fan of Big Pharma and its products.
