2025.06.24 Daily Thread – American Stores: When in the Course of human events – Part 18

After the miscue and recall of this post a few weeks ago, it is now time to return to the mission. Today we will spend all of our time on one of the key Declaration signers and founding fathers in our nation’s history, John Adams.

John Adams

Much time has already been spent in this series on the person, importance, events, and interactions of the great American Patriot, John Adams. There are loads of historical articles and biographies that readers can source to learn more. I will only hit on a handful of the major points of his biographical information. Instead, I will focus some of the information on his interactions, observations he made, and quotes of interest.

Adams was born in 1735 in Braintree, MA to John, Sr. and Susanna Boylston and two brothers. John, Sr. came from a long line of Adams that immigrated to America in 1638 from England. His father was a deacon in the Congregationalist Church and was a farmer, cordwainer (shoemaker) and officer in the militia. Susanna was from an area family that were leaders in the medical field. John had a good relationship with his family and great respect for his father.

He was first educated in a “dame” school, which were private schools for children aged 2-5. He then went to a local Latin school that focused on the language, logic, rhetoric and math. John ran into truancy problems with a dislike for his teacher partially because he preferred to farm with his father, but his he made him stay in school. At age sixteen he entered Harvard College, graduating at age twenty. During the period he developed a fire for studying the works of ancient writers in their languages. He became a teacher for four years as he personally debated his future profession. His father desired he enter the clergy, however, over time he felt the honor and respect earned in the practice of the law to be his calling. From Wiki there is this interesting quote from that time period, “He decided to become a lawyer, writing his father that he found among lawyers “noble and gallant achievements” but, among the clergy, the “pretended sanctity of some absolute dunces”. He had reservations about his self-described “trumpery” and failure to share the “happiness of [his] fellow men”. He even felt guilty at age nineteen when the French and Indian War began that he was not a soldier in the militia like his family members had been as he found it to be more fitting to him than even being a lawyer.

He began law studies in 1756, earned an A. M. in 1758, and was admitted to the bar a year later. He was quite good at his profession and was a leader for the colonists when the Stamp Act was imposed. His points were simple and applied to all British subjects – taxation only by consent and that all were entitled to a jury of their peers if charged with an offense.

He first met his future wife who was a cousin, Abigail, when she was fifteen years old. It was not love at first sight. However, over time they grew very close and married in 1764 when he was 29 and she was 19 years of age despite her mother’s objections. Adams’ father had died in 1761 and left him a small farm with a home. The couple moved in and lived there until 1783. They had six children together and four survived to adulthood. They had three sons, two became alcoholics, but one was successful and a future POTUS, John Quincy Adams.

The legal career of Adams was hugely successful with many notable cases during the period that included successfully representing John Hancock and the British soldiers in the Boston Massacre. Despite that he was an antagonist against the British Parliament ‘s Acts as well as moves of the Crown at every turn. He found the Boston Tea Party to be the “grandest event” in the history of the colonist independence movement. Yet, he was constantly struggling with living arrangements. He found the rural area of the Braintree farm and home to be filled with vulgar people unacceptable to raising his family, so he moved them to a home in Boston near his law practice; only to move them back to the farm a couple of years later due to the turmoil in Boston.

His activities during the Continental Congresses, votes and signing of the Declaration of Independence are well documented, sourced and legendary. I will not repeat them here as it would take too much time. However, none are more explanatory of his thoughts and devotions than the following letter to his wife, Abigail, dated July 3, 1776.

https://www.battlefields.org/learn/primary-sources/most-memorable-epocha-john-adams-writes-about-declaration-independence

He knew what it all meant and the risks. He knew our nation was dependent on God’s Providence as written in the Declaration document he and the others signed. He was willing to risk it all for what would come of it.

An Observation

It is remarkable to me that many of our founders soon visited the nation that oppressed them after the war. Adams was no exception to this as he returned there for health reasons and because he could not get along with Benjamin Franklin in France the year the Treaty of Paris was signed ending the war. He even attended a meeting in Parliament and heard King George III recognize the independence of America. He brought his wife and family there and became the first minister (ambassador) to Great Britain from 1785-88.

As a result he desired to stay neutral with the war between Great Britain and France. However, he felt it necessary to achieve what we now know as “peace through strength” with a military build up in our homeland as well as strengthening our central government through the new Constitution and increased revenues to support it all. That would become very important with the War of 1812 looming in the not too distant future.

With his coziness with Great Britain, being a perceived antagonist of France, and the passage of the highly unpopular Alien and Sedition Acts that he promoted; it all eventually cost his political career. With his fall, the Federalist Party generally disappeared from existence after the War of 1812. In his later years, Adams reconciled with Anti-Federalist Thomas Jefferson as we discussed in a previous Part, thanks to the efforts of their mutual founding father friend, Benjamin Rush. The scars of politics and governance had healed enough for both to find perspective, put aside differences, and rekindle their friendship.

Quotes

Nothing sheds more light on the life of this patriot than his personal quotes. However, if you expect consistency in thought and word, you probably need to move on to future Parts and other signers. Nobody could flip flop better that John Adams in my opinion. He was always quick with a remark and had an opinion on every subject or person. The problem was that at times his opinion changed depending on the audience, interactions, and season. That being said, many are memorable and relevant to patriotism. Below is a sampling of quotes on various subjects.

Quotes on Government,

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people”. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

“The government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion.”

“When legislature is corrupted, the people are undone.”

On Freedom and Democracy,

“Posterity! You will never know how much it cost the present Generation to preserve your Freedom! I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven, that I ever took half the Pains to preserve it.”

“Democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts and murders itself. There was never a democracy that did not commit suicide.”

“Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people.”

“Liberty, according to my metaphysics is a self-determining power in an intellectual agent. It implies thought and choice and power.”

On the Constitution,

“But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.”

“Human passions unbridled by morality and religion…would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net.”

On Power,

“Power always thinks it has a great soul and vast views beyond the comprehension of the weak; and that it is doing God’s service when it is violating all his laws.”

There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty.

On Law and Politics,

“Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.”

“It is more important that innocence be protected than it is that guilt be punished, for guilt and crimes are so frequent in this world that they cannot all be punished. But if innocence itself is brought to the bar and condemned, perhaps to die, then the citizen will say, “whether I do good or whether I do evil is immaterial, for innocence itself is no protection,” and if such an idea as that were to take hold in the mind of the citizen that would be the end of security whatsoever.”

“In politics the middle way is none at all.”

On Religion,

(The next two are dandies 😂 – TB2)

”Without religion this world would be something not fit to be mentioned in polite company, I mean Hell.”

“This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it.”

“Now I will avow, that I then believe, and now believe, that those general Principles of Christianity, are as eternal and immutable, as the Existence and Attributes of God; and that those Principles of Liberty, are as unalterable as human Nature and our terrestrial, mundane System.”

I could go on and on as he had quotes for years. Just one more, it is well noted, and is 100% truth.

“There are two ways to conquer and enslave a country. One is by the sword. The other is by debt.”

America will not be enslaved by sword anytime soon. It was being enslaved by debt. Which is a Biblical statement of truth (Proverbs 22:7) that John Adams may have agreed with (or not) depending on situation, audience, day of the week, weather forecast… 🤪

Conclusion

Normally, I would end there. I would stay on topic, which in this case would be about John Adams and something he did or said. This great patriot achieved the highest office in the land and risked everything for liberty. He lived to 91 years of age and had a very close relationship with his wife, family and many contemporaries. As previously stated he had son who became a POTUS as well. However, I am not sure he had the relationship I would have wanted for him to have with Jesus Christ. I believe his life would have played out somewhat differently and he would not have been so polarizing and sharp of tongue. That would have led to reason and less contentiousness that sank his career in public service. I contrast him with another fiery founding father below, who was a contemporary of Adams, and who made the statement below. From the Trumpet Voice of Freedom,

“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.”

– Patrick Henry –

May it always be so.

Please remember Wolf’s rules for our community. In general that means to be respectful to each other and to pull no shenanigans that your mom might find offensive or otherwise cause jail time. That said, free speech is honored here.

Be blessed and go make something good happen!

WARNING

OK – just going to post this warning at the top. AUTHORS – pay attention.

The new “copy” function for posts, allows copying of COMMENTS, too. You probably want to NOT copy comments when you copy a post. Just UNCHECK the box for copying comments.

If you see comments on today’s post, that were made on June 3, those are might be copied comments.

Are you sure about this?

This did not happen to me last Saturday. I copied; I did not get the old comments.

I do recall that this post originally dropped on June 3rd by mistake. Was this post COPIED from that or is it the same post but rescheduled? (The latter would likely retain the comments)?

Wolf Moon

OK – it COULD be that this exact post (not a copy) was published, then either put back into draft or rescheduled. That would do the same thing.

Bottom line is that people have to be careful about the new copy function, which does have a facility to copy comments, and which was checked when I used it, and they need to know that I had to uncheck it.

I don’t remember for sure, but I believe that I may have later reset the defaults at the admin level to remove the check mark from the copying of comments. Either way, authors need to keep their eye on this, because comments are copyable with the new functionality.

Wolf Moon

Good! Thanks!

And I appreciate that you saved the original comments, too!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

In this particular case it was appropriate.

TheseTruths

Thank you for this lesson on John Adams! It’s no wonder the Left wants to tear down the Founders; as I read, I was thinking that an education on those quotations alone would be a primer for what this country is about.

patfrederick

that, sir, is a lost art!

You really should, they are wonderful!

I LOVED Aesop’s Fables when I was a kid! I learned so many things from reading them.

Donald J. Trump, Truth Social:

Passing THE ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL is a Historic Opportunity to turn our Country around after four disastrous years under Joe Biden. We will take a massive step to balancing our Budget by enacting the largest mandatory Spending Cut, EVER, and Americans will get to keep more of their money with the largest Tax Cut, EVER, and no longer taxing Tips, Overtime, or Social Security for Seniors — Something 80 Million Voters supported in November. It will unleash American Energy by expediting permitting for Energy, and refilling the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. It will make American Air Travel GREAT AGAIN by purchasing the final Air Traffic Control System. We will secure our skies from our adversaries by building The Golden Dome, and secure our Border by building more of our Wall, and supercharging the deportation of the millions of Criminal Illegals Joe Biden allowed to walk right into our Country. It will kick millions of Illegals off Medicaid, and make sure SNAP is focused on Americans ONLY! It will also restore Choice and Affordability for Car purchases by REPEALING Biden’s EV Mandate, and all of the GREEN NEW SCAM Tax Credits and Spending. THE ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL also protects our beautiful children by stopping funding for sick sex changes for minors. With the Senate coming back to Washington today, I call on all of my Republican friends in the Senate and House to work as fast as they can to get this Bill to MY DESK before the Fourth of JULY. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

patfrederick

they go on their summer recess in about a month, don’t they? they need to WORK and get stuff done. the work/recess aspect of government is abominable! who else gets paid like that with those bennies to work that little?

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Part of their job is to go home to the constituents.

Less important now with modern communications.

Ideally, they’d actually get their work done in a few months because the government wouldn’t be doing all that much.

patfrederick

that could be accomplished in half the time. with phones, they are available to their constituents while they are in DC. with video chats going home is less necessary. and they get 2 (at least?) month long vacations–who gets that???

Is anything going to actually come of this?

Wolf Moon

Wow. Crazy stuff!

Valerie Curren

This is very weird, but if you look my comment that you are replying to was made on June THIRD…how did it get on the 6-24-25 post/article? I hadn’t even BEEN to “today’s” post yet, so I did NOT put this comment up, at least not today…

Is someone messing with the Q-Tree Again???

Wait did a “copy” of the June 3 post/article get used “today” & that meant that some comments from then also transferred over?

OK I just scrolled to the comments above mine & they were ALL from June Third, but the ones below seem to be from today…hmmm…

What do you think is happening here?

EDIT OK this is the John Adams article that I read & commented on the first time (I saw) that it was up. Later TT subbed in a different article/post but perhaps All of the limited existing comments from the first (temporarily aborted) post remain to show Today!

Please see my conversation with Steve, which is now pinned to the top.

It is possible that it is exactly as you describe in your edit above. However, the new copy function allows copying of comments, too. So I am warning all authors about that. Make sure to UNCHECK the box for copying comments, if you find it checked, when copying posts. I believe that I have set good defaults on it now, but people need to be sure not to copy old comments.

Valerie Curren

TY Wolf. I think the existing comments for This John Adams (re-)post/article make sense to stay as they were likely not seen by very many people that first day, June 3, though clearly some might be out of date now 3 weeks later 🙂

Valerie Curren

I appreciate you not suppressing Anyone’s speech, even if it’s now potentially out of date 🙂

Yes! They’re “real” comments! Just flash-frozen and now thawed! 😂

Creepy timing on that comment for a CSI Miami show we saw last night had the murderer using that process to deceive the investigators 😮

Since all the website changes that happened a couple weeks back, I never logged out, so I haven’t really noticed anything different than it has been for a long time now.

Except for one change.

For some reason, there is no way to ‘like’ the daily.

There used to be a ‘like’ button at the end of the daily, like there still is at Marica’s, but the one that used to be here, seems to have disappeared.

I was in the habit of liking the daily posts, so I notice it every day.

Barb Meier

I use the five stars instead of the like to show appreciation for the daily posts. I think Wolf may have suggested that as an alternative.

scott467

Thank you Barb!

Wolf Moon

The “like” function for posts was pure JetPack. Note that on the WP.com free sites, JetPack and Akismet are both FORCED-installation plugins.

We do now have something analogous – a post star rating of 0 to 5.

kalbokalbs

Locally, the five star thing is usually available, but not always.

TheseTruths

It’s interesting to see that the comments that were made the last time this daily posted carried over to today. Things have changed a lot since then.

Who in the Pentagon shared that “almost certainly” estimate with Tucker? Fire them. Here is a risk evaluation matrix to help with word choice in evaluations. CIA ?

Barb Meier

That is certainly in his background and I expect him to know better than to employ CNN-level gotcha questions on Ted Cruz and use fear porn. He chose not to.

Aubergine

I think it depends on who he thought his audience would be. With Ted Cruz, he knew that the “gotcha” questions and answers would be playing to the crazy left, not to us. At least most of us. I have no idea why there are some who claim to be conservatives who are panicans. Haven’t we talked endlessly about waiting 48-72 hours to see what happens? Do we trust Trump, or not?

Barb Meier

Yes I trust Trump. He gives the glory to God and he does not lie that I can tell.

TheseTruths

Do they even know Trump, what he is like, what his core beliefs are, who he is? They don’t appear to have learned anything over the last decade.

para59r

Seriosly, not kidding. Answers to those questions can be found in “Travels and Adventures of Little Baron Trump and His Wonderful Dog Bulger” and “Baron Trumps Marvelous Underground Journey”.

Aubergine

THEY THINK WE ARE STUPID.

That’s the answer.

Aubergine

I think Tucker is CIA, I think he is a mouthpiece and tool for them, and I think he does exactly what they tell him. Tucker told us who he was when we read those emails about how much he hated Trump. We would do well to believe him.

singingsoul1

Tucker has lost the plot. I used to like him found him refreshing but months ago he changed. He is beginning to sound CIA.

para59r

Which of the two is the retard?

para59r

Before you read further answer the question above first.

The way I see it is Trump placated two sides, but his followers just signed up for 3 more years of Neo Cons and MIGA.

I guess it’s back to this guy and you’ll no longer bad mouth him? Or have you not figured it out yet?

Do we think that Iran could not of struck at the 10,000 US service men stationed at Doho?

Did we choose to not go down “the road not traveled”?

Maybe the panican’s are really us?

Should I be guessing we’ll be voting for Ms Lindsey and John Cornyn next election?

Yada yada yada… Moslems bad, but I think we can handle them.

I think there’s a third possibility…

para59r

Yes, Trust Trump. But we had to do that because we let the Neo Cons steam roll us. As is said by the “One Off” crowd he was stuck in the middle between Neo Cons and our former selves, or at least those that held to their convictions and were not so easily manipulated. Thus Trump had to play both sides and risk a large scale war by doing the limited bombing thing. In the process we’ve still damaged our credibility on the world stage, though things are indeed smoothed out with in MAGA.

Trump is the only one walking away clean, but MAGA has been stained by Israeli pact money. Now how to wash it out? One way may be not to bash the ones that stuck with their convictions. Theirs’s are still The Road Not Traveled.

I disagree with your take on this.

Yes, Levin is going to continue be bad-mouthed.
We are not the panicans.
Etc.

Now which of the two are the retard?

Which is it for you?

Has this happened: “thousands of American deaths on bases throughout the Middle East”? Because I’m not seeing it.

para59r

That’s called hyperbole.
You know that.
You should also know one missile getting through and killing any amount of American’s would escalate the war.

However even by your evasive answer you just sided with Dr David.

Currently given Trump’s hot take on Israel for breaking the cease fire they will likely conclude Trump is no longer a dependable asset.

Clock’s ticking.. Pray!

To steal from our T3, Think Think Think!

TheseTruths

That’s called hyperbole.

It’s not hyperbole. It’s a statement that American troops at bases in Iran will be killed. The number is not the most important aspect of the statement.

Have any troops been killed?

You should also know one missile getting through and killing any amount of American’s would escalate the war.

Of course. That has always been the case. America is not at war.

para59r

No troops were killed because Iran did not want to kill any. They visited Putin and he told them how to handle it. Putin taught simple coding to the Iran. 14 bunker busters were fired and Iran fired 14 missiles back in such away they’d be easily shot down by our air defense. Those are the same air defense systems that Israel is using. Iran has been having a pretty good track record of getting the missiles through those air defense systems so much so that the Iron Dome and the Theater Missile System are considered no longer realizable. By firing those missiles the way they did and using the same number 14, they messaged Trump that they were A. Strong and B. Willing to stand down.

pgroup2

Are they really that rational? Or did Vlad just tell them if they didn’t do it his way, he’d shut the door on them?

Osama said it best – in this world, people go for the strong horse. I think Vlad knows this quite well, after his years of dealing with Chechens. .

para59r

They’re that rational. They also called Trump and told them they were going to fire at the base before they did.

para59r

Pardon, I thought you were one of the people that brought “The One Off” theory here.

Coffee & Covid along with Lord Bebo were the only two I’ve seen to expound upon it. They are also the only two who IMO are correct.

The theory works this way.
Trump is caught between a rock and hard place. One being the Tucker Carlson’s and MTG types who don’t trust Israel worth a damn. Kind of like us before we got drawn into the Trump Magic. The Second is Israel, the Neo Con’s and War Hawks who want action against Iran for all their bellicose rhetoric and attempts to build a bomb. The same talk we’ve been listening too for almost 30 years now, where every time we hear it Iran is weeks or months away from building a bomb. Same song and dance time in and time out.

Trump has to do something to placate both groups. We don’t see his gambit and fall for Iran bad, when what Trump was really doing was to make everyone happy by taking out the Iran’s capability to build the bomb. Whether he did or not is another discussion but we all think he did so he’s made the Neocon types happy.

At the same time his people met with Iran before the attack and let them know he’s going to bomb the sites. There’s much talk such a meeting happened from many sources. This let’s Iran know the attack is a “One Off”. Iran doesn’t like it but there’s nothing they can do to stop Trump which is an extra object lesson that Trump was teaching Iran. It’s also a signal to Iran there’s a way out for them that allows them to save face.

Part of “The One Off” means the public at large has to think Iran Bad and he’s taken out the sites. This is where we are all having to get on Israel’s side because Trump is playing that card. This is where we all get fooled.

“The One Off” puts to rest Israel’s constant caterwauling about Iran being a week or month away from a bomb. And then Trump brings back MAGA by switching back to Peace. It’s just “The One Off” and were done. It makes those in Carlson camp happy, and it makes the Neocons happy.

Except as you should be able to tell by “Chopper Pressor” Bibi is big mad and has scraped the cease fire with a vengeance going into it and now a vengeance coming out of it.

Personally I was upset when Trump did the surprise bombing. He should of told Israel to pound sand. However the political forces on either side of this were too great. I didn’t buy off on “The One Off” went it first was explained though I thought it had merit as a theory. It did not come across to me until Iran fired on the Doho base in such a way as to signal “peace but were strong” and Trump accepted it. That was the light in the tunnel for the Carlson types or should be. IDK I don’t find their stuff unless someone brings it here. The icing on the cake came with The Trump Truce on Truth Social. Couldn’t be more happy now. Except that Bibi is big mad and breaks the truce with blood lust in mind. Personally I’m not worried about that. I hope Iran keeps pounding away at Israel until there is Regime Change there.

Hopes that helps for an explainer and I’d be happy to explain further but for now I have to accept that your going to do your normal thing and ignore everything I’ve said by not examining my words in a critical light. So be it. The water is there. Drink it or don’t.

No, I’m not.

No, he doesn’t.

Part of “The One Off” means the public at large has to think Iran Bad and he’s taken out the sites. This is where we are all having to get on Israel’s side because Trump is playing that card.

No, we are on America’s side, not Israel’s. And Iran has been very “bad” in the past.

This is where we all get fooled.

We are not fooled, and Trump is not fooling us.

…for now I have to accept that your going to do your normal thing and ignore everything I’ve said by not examining my words in a critical light.

LOL. You have no idea how I look at things. Hurling insults does not help your cause, but it’s a pretty common occurrence at this site. I’ve been on the receiving end a number of times.

So be it. The water is there. Drink it or don’t.

What you refuse to accept is that people can be fully cognizant of all you say and yet disagree with you. That doesn’t mean they are ignoring you, it doesn’t mean they didn’t pay attention or “drink the water,” and it doesn’t mean they don’t examine things critically. Good grief, take a step back and look at how your words come across.

This is a very interesting problem. Tucker (and presumably somebody in the Pentagon) were likely right (IMO) that a sudden sneak attack on the Iranian nuclear sites, with out all of the massive pre-suppression of the Iranian military which Israel did, would have been a much different story in response.

Fortunately, and perhaps not fortuitously, a much different progression of events led to a much different outcome.

Multiple wounded in addition to 4 killed in Iranian missile strike on Beersheba building, medics say

After deadly missile barrages, Iranian television says ceasefire in effect; no comment from Israel

Iranian television says that a ceasefire has begun, soon after firing a number of missile barrages at Israel.

Iran’s Press TV says that a ceasefire came into effect with the conclusion of the multiple missile barrages fired at Israel.

Most of the missiles were intercepted, but one struck an apartment building in Beersheba, killing at least four people and wounding several others.

There is no comment from the Prime Minister’s Office.

“If all sides uphold it, it will hold.”

That’s kind of part of the definition of a cease fire, Captain Obvious.

scott467

Beat me to it 😂

para59r

Trumps Cease Fire Document is something I think will be studied for ages. It’s filled with ambiguities yet sets the terms up front and if you want to break them there was that written in there as well.

The magic time was 7AM Israeli time. But read the document (that’s what it is, since there is still no other) and explain the rest of it. It’s also not signed or ratified by either party except by word of mouth for which Iran provided they’d abide at 4 AM and Israel only well after the 7AM dead line so essentially it can go away at the choosing of either party. Further it sets no other conditions on either party which will be a point of contention in the future I’m sure.

Also Iran demonstrated they understood the ambiguity when they chose to ignore their own self declared/imposed dead line determined by what they thought they were reading. They did this after Israel pounded them mercilessly well past the time they thought they were reading in the document as to Israel’s cease fire time and so then Iran still technically seeing the real hard time was 7AM they started a new round of firing at approximately 5:30 AM. Iran first fired a missile into the North of Israel and then one into the South of Israel to inform Israel they’d be taking full advantage of the Cease fire hard time 7AM. After which they continued for another hour plus to fire 5 to 6 more missile salvos into Israel. They further punctuated that with last salvo past the 7AM dead line that took them up to 7:15 before they ceased fire. Read of that what you will. I think it means Iran demonstrated they see they see ambiguities in the document and technicality again by the document’s lower half this could have continued for another 18 hours but they could blame Israel for breaking all their clocks 😆

Anyway… the document. Study it and see what you think?

Meanwhile there’s no real indications either Iran or Israel agreed to anything before hand except Trump says they did. Maybe he took that as coming from loose lips on the phone.

Bibi after this announcement put an official gag order on his military, not allowing them to talk about the ceasefire at all. Further he never acknowledges it until (I need to check, I’m sure he has by now) well after 7AM.

para59r

I guess Bibi is hoping mad at Trump. I’ll post it at top as well, (for top readers you’ll have to come back down for the details, sorry to awkward to post them up here.) https://www.theqtree.com/2025/06/24/2025-05-13-daily-thread-american-stores-when-in-the-course-of-human-events-part-18/#comment-1479630 and lower comment.

LIVE: Trump warns Israel not to attack Iran, says both sides broke truce
comment image

  • US President Donald Trump says Israel and Iran have both violated the ceasefire, but that he was “really unhappy” with Israel. He called on Israel to stop dropping bombs and to “bring your pilots home, now!”
  • Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz says he has ordered “intense strikes” on Tehran, accusing Iran of violating the truce brokered by the US and Qatar.
  • Iran denies the claim, and its top security body warns its forces stand ready to respond decisively to any Israeli violations.
  • Iran fired a salvo of missiles at a US military base in Qatar on Monday, in retaliation for the attacks on its nuclear sites a day earlier.
  • Iran says more than 400 people, including 13 children, have been killed and at least 3,056 others wounded since Israel launched its attack on June 13. In Israel, at least 28 people have been killed in Iranian strikes.
Aubergine

My personal take is, this is bound to be messy for a day or two as tempers cool, and this all winds down. I love what Trump said, that they have been fighting for so long and so hard they don’t know what the fuck they’re doing.

It’s like when you break up a fight and somebody has to hold the combatants by the neck for a minute or two, until they stop berserking and calm down.

para59r

I believe your telling the story quite wrong.
How? I can only guess you don’t bother to read all the comments here.

Iran examined the Cease Fire Document posted on Truth Social and concluded they needed to stop firing at 4AM and they announced they would do that and did do that.

Israel decided they had lots of time left to keep bombing Iran and proceeded with a punishing bombardment, the heaviest bombing of Iran in all the 12 days of conflict and did not cease until well after 5AM.

Iran having put a good faith effort forward by stopping their bombing early, then adopted the technical version of what Trump wrote and determined they did not have to stop firing until 7AM. So at 5:30 AM they fired two missiles into Israel. One to the North and one to the South. This was Iran’s signal to Israel that they were going to resume bombing. They did by firing 5 to 6 more Salvos into Israel. To punctuate that they understood the further ambiguities in the document that actually allows for bombing 18 hours after the initial six that Trump imposed, their last missile strike ended at 7:15. Either that or Israel managed to damage their clocks when they took out Iranian electric causing them to go over by 15 mins.

I believe your telling the story quite wrong.

I’m not telling a story. What I posted was a direct quote from a news source.

None of what you wrote is news to me.

Aubergine

TT, I think I am just going to stop addressing comments by this person. It’s all the same nonsense over and over. And no matter what you post, it’s attacked.

Some people can’t take being proved spectacularly wrong in their predictions or assumptions. They just cling endlessly to the narrative they bought into, regardless of evidence to the contrary. I know people in real life who to this day believe Biden was never really p(R)esident, all evidence to the contrary.

I had a friend who used to tell me “don’t sing to pigs. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.” I thought it was a clever take on “casting pearls before swine.”

I think my pearl-tossing days are over, at least as it pertains to the events of the last couple of weeks in the Middle East.

TheseTruths

I hear you. I haven’t reponded to a number of the comments today.

There’s a history here. He insists that Barron Trump is Q. I have completely disagreed in the past. Then, as he has said here, if you disagree with him, it’s because you won’t look at the evidence he brings or you aren’t thinking critically. It’s really astounding and not worth spending time on.

Last edited 19 days ago by TheseTruths
SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I basically told him the other day that I don’t give a flying fuck what he thinks. That was after calling him on his so-called logic.

You’ve reminded me of the Barron Trump absurdity.

You may decide whether my attitude towards him is an appropriate attitude, or not.

TheseTruths

It’s not my call to decide whether your attitude is appropriate, but I understand being frustrated. I have found some conversations here over the past few years to be extremely frustrating due to a lack of logic, lack of acknowledgement of facts and reality, and sometimes accompanying put-downs. Some of those were done so subtly that they were not obvious to those who didn’t know what was going on. I’m sure you know some of what I’m referring to.

I will say this for para59r: He will respond when I talk with him. I might not agree with what he says, but he will at least demonstrate a degree of courtesy, and acknowledge me.

I also take the attitude that people usually have positive attributes that don’t always manifest and that, while I disagree in some areas, I agree in others and even learn from them.

That said, some make it impossible to communicate, and I don’t take kindly to being accused of lying, accused of baiting people, or other character smears and personal attacks.

People all have their own temperaments and degree of tolerance. A number of people have left because of that. Probably several have been told to leave. When I take myself out of the situation, it’s actually quite interesting.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I think I wasn’t clear. I was wondering if you thought the attitude I am taking might be an appropriate one for YOU to take.

From your response I infer that the answer is no.

TheseTruths

I see. From what he has written here, I don’t agree with him and don’t care what he thinks about this subject–meaning that I don’t want to discuss it with him because I don’t think his theory has merit. So in that sense I agree with you. Where I might differ is in how vehement to be about it. I tend to observe with interest what people say and do and watch as they reveal who they are.

Gudthots

It seems that you show your frustration without resorting to name calling.

Aubergine

It has been my experience that, while some people “get it” when you express your feelings to them in a calm, diplomatic way, others are as thick as a brick, and can’t see it until you throw a brick through their window.

You can be assured that, if I resort to directly calling someone names, that it is a deliberate act designed for a desired effect.

TheseTruths

Oh, I have definitely seen that.

TheseTruths

There are always things that need work!

Aubergine

You are so much more diplomatic than I am! Very nice post.

TheseTruths

Thank you. I have my moments!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

As I said a couple of days ago, I don’t give a flying fuck what he thinks.

Possibly an attitude you’d agree with.

Aubergine

I don’t care one bit what he thinks. I do tend to get irritated by some of the nonsense posted, though, because who knows how far it spreads?

TheseTruths

who knows how far it spreads?

This has been my thought for years. I have noticed that if a commenter is well thought of, some people will tend to set aside common sense and logic and think there might be some merti to some of the most outlandish theories I’ve ever seen.

Aubergine

Yes. It pains me, truly, do vehemently disagree with anyone here. But I am always thinking about who else might be reading.

scott467

But I think they have a sexual identity war going on with the Indiana Fever.

I think you have one half of the team, led by Caitlyn Clark that’s heterosexual, and feminine. And I think you have the other half of the team, led by Natasha Howard, and the woman that went MIA, Daewanna Bonner, and maybe, I don’t know where Kelsey Mitchell fits in this, I like Kelsey Mitchell, I don’t know.

But, the head coach is… plays for the other team. She’s allegedly in some sort of gay mirage with Lisa Salters. You have a sexuality feud. This is my speculation, this is my opinion. This team, personality wise, doesn’t fit.”

Dem Senator John Fetterman Dumps Cold Water on AOC’s Plans to Impeach Trump: ‘That’s Not Going Anywhere’ (VIDEO)

Former Democrat Adviser Blasts His Own Party for Calling for Impeachment Rather Than Supporting Trump’s Iran Strike

Dan Turrentine is a former Democrat Party adviser and a regular contributor to Mark Halperin’s 2Way podcast. He recently called out his own party for calling for Trump’s impeachment, rather than supporting the president for the successful strike on Iran.

Democrats just can’t help themselves. No matter what Trump does, no matter how popular or successful, they automatically have to be against it.

They have painted themselves into a corner, politically. Turrentine can see it.

His comment on X:

It was too depressing to write this last night, after we got off air, so I went to bed. But, it needs to be said by more Democrats: this was not an impeachable offense, and Trump did not need congressional approval for one precision attack under the circumstances, just as Obama did not when striking Bin Laden. Why can’t our Party just say it’s great we achieved the objective and destroyed Iran’s nuclear sites, god bless the soldiers who carried this out and made it home safely, god bless our country, military, allies, and we look forward to a full intel briefing. . If one must then assert Congressional authority at the moment, add that any escalation will require congressional approval. And if you must, express concern for where this may go and what might come next.

But, for so many in my Party to knee jerk with unhinged calls for impeachment – and sadly omit in their statement support for Iran not having nuclear weapons, which has been a principle of our Party for 40 years -is truly TDS.

Oof. This one’s rough.

Watch till the end, you really can’t make this stuff up.

Kaitlan Collins had just finished questioning President Trump’s ceasefire deal between Israel and Iran, suggesting it might fall apart any second or never materialize.

“That obviously still remains to be seen on the implementation side of this, and waiting to see if the firing does stop and if Iran and Israel do both agree to this.”

“Just 24 hours ago, President Trump himself was suggesting a regime change in Iran… so the question is whether or not this still holds for the next few hours.”

Then…mid-thought…Anderson Cooper cut in with breaking news:

“Hey Kaitlan… I’ve just been given word that Iran—according to a diplomat who briefed CNN—has agreed to the ceasefire.”

“That’s incredibly significant… That’s the first indication we have that Iran has agreed to this.”

The timing couldn’t have been worse. Narrative collapsed….live on air.

I recently read a biographical novel about John and Abigail Adams, Those Who Love, by Irving Stone.

It portrays the Revolutionary War times quite well… especially the Sons of Liberty and the influence of John Adams’ cousin Samuel. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sons_of_Liberty

In those days, American patriots were not hesitant to burn down the grand homes of British governors, and military officials.

The novel also showed how much John Adams influence shaped our system of government.

so the “they’re not hurting anybody” theory is shot to hell. ICE raided a Nebraska company and found 70 stolen identities being used. and the people who’s identities are stolen ARE being hurt:
fta
Zito said that among the people who allegedly had their identities stolen by the migrant workers was a Pennsylvania resident who officials said was denied prescriptions after his identity was stolen. That person’s name and identity were used by a person to gain employment at Glenn Valley Foods, federal officials said.
A disabled Texas resident who was unable to work because of their condition was also among the alleged victims of the identity theft involving workers at the Nebraska plant. Other victims, including those from California and Missouri, were also affected by allegedly having their identities and Social Security numbers stolen by migrants who were taken into custody during the Nebraska raid.
“The criminals who stole these identities didn’t just break the law, they upended lives,” Zito said in a statement issued by HSI. “These victims aren’t faceless statistics; they’re real people who are being denied healthcare and have lost educational opportunities.”

mollypitcher5

This theft of identies was undoubtedly facilitated by someone(s) other than the illegals. I don’t believe that a illegal from a far flung country could have the wherewithall to knowhow to search and steal an identity. It was provided. That’s who needs to be exposed also.

patfrederick

Trump Truth bomb.

It’s as IF, Israel AND Iran, too hate filled towards each other, they canNot see the Off Ramp, Trump has handed them.

patfrederick

SD has a post up about this presser and someone posted that Iran was given 12 hours AFTER the ceasefire began to stop and then 12 AFTER THAT Israel had 12 hours to stop…which to me is not a ceasefire.
i dunno know how true that all was…sounds too ridiculous…so it might be true.

As for me, it is pure cognitive dissonance [with no right answer].

You have to read the ceasefire document posted on Truth Social

para59r

I think Trump put the ambiguity into it to find out if either side really wanted the cease fire is my guess.

Iran jumped at it and even stopped firing early, announcing such.

Israel used the time to commence the most punishing bombing of the 12 days and went well past when Iran thought they’d stop.

Bibi also put a gag order on all his generals to not talk about the ceasefire.

Later Israel breaks the cease fire and pisses off Trump as seen in the in the “Chopper Brief”.

IMO Israel has acted in rather barbaric manner in all this starting with their surprise attack on Iran in the middle of the 60 day talk which caused Iran to harden their stance.

And you might have cognitive dissonance 😉

EACH DAY WE TAKE UP THE OFFENSIVE WEAPON OF THE WORD OF GOD – THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT – ONE VERSE OPENS THE DOOR TO THE CONTEXT OF THE CHAPTER MESSAGE

Verse of the Day for Tuesday, June 24, 2025

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

COMMENTARY FOR GALATIANS 6

“Exhortations to meekness, gentleness, and humility. (1-5) To kindness towards all men, especially believers. (6-11) The Galatians guarded against the judaizing teachers. (12-15) A solemn blessing.” (16-18)

(6-11) “Many excuse themselves from the work of religion, though they may make a show, and profess it. They may impose upon others, yet they deceive themselves if they think to impose upon God, who knows their hearts as well as actions; and as he cannot be deceived, so he will not be mocked. Our present time is seed time; in the other world we shall reap as we sow now. As there are two sorts of sowing, one to the flesh, and the other to the Spirit, so will the reckoning be hereafter. Those who live a carnal, sensual life, must expect no other fruit from such a course than misery and ruin. But those who, under the guidance and influences of the Holy Spirit, live a life of faith in Christ, and abound in Christian graces, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. We are all very apt to tire in duty, particularly in doing good. This we should carefully watch and guard against. Only to perseverance in well-doing is the reward promised. Here is an exhortation to all to do good in their places. We should take care to do good in our life-time, and make this the business of our lives. Especially when fresh occasions offer, and as far as our power reaches.”

Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

THE SPIRIT OF GOD

We each have gifts given by God at birth
These gifts like virtues expound our worth
The fruits are like actions virtues produce
These presents the Spirit comes to induce

Prompted by the Spirit the gifts bear fruit
Without the Spirit the gifts are but moot
Gifts bear fruit with the aid of the Spirit
Devoid of the Spirit we cannot clear it

The Spirit lives inside of the believer
The presence of fruits Spirit achiever
Indwelling is proof of the Spirit within
Through Him with Him the work can begin

It has been said the gifts there are seven
With the nine fruits we are blessed by heaven
Through prayer and practice our gifts blossom
And the fruits that advance are quite awesome

Understanding Knowledge and Wisdom
Counsel Piety Fortitude system
The Fear of the Lord all give a good start
The Spirit inside us blesses the heart

The action derived from the work we do
The fruits that are seen will benefit you
Filled with Love Goodness Kindness and Peace
Then Joy Patience Gentleness Faith increase

With Perseverance we cannot go wrong
Aligned with the Spirit where we belong
What wondrous ability you can accrue
When the Spirit of God lives inside of you

Talk about incompetence! Yes lets cut a huge chunk of police support services…ie the secretaries and nonsworn people who handle records, property, and more. Oh yeah Palisades fire who cares! Lets cut about 50 firefighters even though we are understaffed.

The L.A. City Controller says that officials are preparing to declare a fiscal emergency due to several factors, and over 600 layoffs are “on the table.”

City Controller Kenneth Mejia stated late Monday night that massive liability payouts, overspending and revenue shortfalls are the main reasons behind the fiscal emergency declaration.

“In order to balance the budget, 614 layoffs are on the table,” Mejia said on X. “The city will do its best to transfer employees [and] fill vacant positions.”

  • Police – Civilians: 248 layoffs
  • Personnel: 57 layoffs
  • Sanitation: 44 layoffs
  • Fire – Sworn: 41 layoffs
  • Information Technology Agency: 34 layoffs
  • General Services: 33 layoffs

Part of the deception. We have to keep believing that happened. No way to prove it did until a significant passage of time. And even then Trump may well have cowed Iran into crossing swords with Trump whether they retained their capability or not.

Oh, good grief, you people.

I suppose you still believe that Trump was the real President while Biden was in office, too?

I like a good conspiracy theory as much as the next guy, but believing Trump is just lying and playing us along as part of some “deception” that they blew up Iran’s enrichment facilities is just dumb.

And when there’s no war, there’ll be some “shadow war” of “stories” or some other such nonsense, to keep the thrill alive, right? Because without the fear porn, is life worth living?

It’s also incredibly insulting to Trump and all he stands for. Trump does not “play us.” He is doing what he thinks best to keep the country safe and prosperous, and he is as open as possible with us within the bounds of national security.

And when there’s no war, there’ll be some “shadow war” of “stories” or some other such nonsense, to keep the thrill alive, right?

Good online friends —

Per Accuweather, the heat index in Durham NC right now is 114. And could go even higher by 3PM- 4PM. No relief until PERHAPS tomorrow afternoon. No significant rain forecast for some days.

Yesterday, Yours Truly got a text from Duke Energy.
They’re calling on residential customers to “conserve power in the heat emergency” by turning off and unplugging “all non-essential appliances”, game consoles, etc., between 3PM and 8PM — the worst time of the day due to the accumulated heat.

Meanwhile, Duke Energy has closed various coal-fired power plants in the state and is “working on” replacing these plants with “battery-powered” and nuclear-powered plants. But this “working on” planning and construction process can take all the way up to the year 2035!

ICE arrests 11 Iranian nationals in 48 hours

In its latest crackdown against illegal immigration, federal agents arrested 11 Iranian foreign nationals in 48 hours, including one watchlisted individual — part of a series of targeted operations spanning eight states and nine cities nationwide.

Among those arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement since Sunday, June 22, is Mehran Makari Saheli, at his home near St. Paul, Minnesota. ICE officials say Saheli is a former member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an elite branch of Iran’s armed forces. They said the detainee has “admitted connections to Hezbollah,” a U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organization backed by Iran.

ICE said that five of those arrested possessed previous criminal convictions ranging from grand larceny to drug and firearm possessions.

The Department of Homeland Security says Yousef Mehridehno had been living in America illegally for nearly 8 years when federal authorities determined he lied on a visa application. Roughly four months after the Iranian foreign national was added to the U.S. known or suspected terrorist list in February, he was apprehended by federal agents Sunday in central Mississippi, just outside of Jackson.

Officials have not linked these arrests to any specific terrorism plots and the Department of Homeland Security has stated that there are no current, credible threats to the U.S. homeland, despite a heightened security environment following U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites over the weekend.

But all 11 Iranians have been charged or accused of crimes beyond civil immigration violations, according to ICE officials, who say the arrested men represent a threat to public safety.

While arresting Ribvar Karmi in northern Alabama on Sunday, the Department of Homeland Security says federal agents found an Islamic Republic of Iran Army identification card on his person. According to ICE officials, Karimi purportedly served as an Iranian Army sniper from 2018 to 2021 and entered the U.S. in October 2024 on a K-1 visa, reserved for migrants engaged to be married to American citizens. Karmi is now detained in ICE custody, where officials say he will remain pending removal proceedings…

Trump DOJ Hits Back Hard After Biden Judge Defies Supreme Court, Says His Order Barring Deportation of Illegal Aliens to South Sudan Remains in Effect

…On Monday evening, Judge Murphy ignored the US Supreme Court and said his previous order remains in effect.

“The Court’s May 21, 2025 Order on Remedy remains in full force and effect, notwithstanding today’s stay of the Preliminary Injunction,” Murphy said.

On Tuesday morning Solicitor General John Sauer asked the Supreme Court to clarify its decision.

“The district court’s ruling of last night is a lawless act of defiance that, once again, disrupts sensitive diplomatic relations and slams the brakes on the Executive’s lawful efforts to effectuate third-country removals. For over two months now, the Executive has labored under an injunction that this Court yesterday deemed unenforceable. This Court should immediately make clear that the district court’s enforcement order has no effect, and put a swift end to the ongoing irreparable harm to the Executive Branch and its agents, who remain under baseless threat of contempt as they are forced to house dangerous criminal aliens at a military base in the Horn of Africa that now lies on the borders of a regional conflict,” John Sauer wrote

Iran Reopens Airspace To Commercial Flights As Ceasefire With Israel Finally Holds

The ceasefire seems to finally be holding as of early evening local time, despite the ongoing accusations of earlier violations when it was to take effect.

“Both Israel and Iran wanted to stop the War, equally! It was my great honor to Destroy All Nuclear facilities & capability, and then, STOP THE WAR!” President Trump said on Truth Social. Were they all destroyed?

And China has belatedly weighed in, with Foreign Minister Wang Yi saying China supports Iran in achieving a “genuine ceasefire” – but following Beijing’s condemnation of the US for striking the country’s nuclear sites.

“China supports Iran in safeguarding its national sovereignty and security, and, on that basis, achieving a genuine ceasefire so that people can return to normal life,” Wang expressed to his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, in a phone call.

But here is the clearest indicator yet that skies have cleared of Israeli warplanes and return fire over Tehran:

“Iranian airspace partially reopened today, following the country’s ceasefire with Israel after 12 days of hostilities, according to aviation monitoring company FlightRadar24.

“’Iranian airspace is now open to international arrivals and departures to/from Tehran with prior permission,’” FlightRadar24 said on X. Iraqi airspace has also reopened, it added.

Also, Iranian media is currently airing footage of a large crowd assembled in central Tehran, in an act expressing solidarity with the country’s armed forces. IRNA, Fars, and Mehr are covering the gathering in Revolution Square. Now each side is declaring ‘victory’ to some extent, but whether the ceasefire will actually stick is anyone’s guess…

Israel-Iran conflict

How Israel failed in Iran

There was neither a regime change, nor a decapitation of the Iranian nuclear programme.

Ori Goldberg

Independent analyst

Published On 24 Jun 2025

24 Jun 2025

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks during a visit to the Weizmann Institute of Science, which was hit by an Iranian missile barrage, in the central city of Rehovot on June 20, 2025 [Jack Guez/AFP]

What did Israel accomplish in Iran after 11 days of incessant bombing? Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed in his statement acknowledging the ceasefire that the Israeli goals have been achieved. Such an assertion seems problematic, to say the least.

At the start of the short-lived war, he declared two goals: “decapitating the nuclear programme” and “regime change”.

Was the nuclear programme decapitated? The answer is likely negative. It seems that Iran transported fissionable material out of the Fordow facility attacked by the United States. This stockpile is the most important part of the nuclear programme, so “decapitation” seems to have failed.

What damage, if any, did Israel inflict on the Iranian nuclear programme? That is also unclear. Israel managed to persuade the US to attack Iranian nuclear facilities using bunker-busting bombs, Massive Ordnance Penetrators (MOPs), but the US did little else to help the Israeli offensive. The extent of destruction would be hard to evaluate since Iran is unlikely to grant outside access.

Has Israel generated “regime change” in Iran? The brief answer is that it has very much achieved the opposite. Israel attempted to trigger an uprising against the regime by killing military leaders of Iran’s various security structures. This strategy is based on the firm Israeli belief that the best way to destabilise an enemy is through assassinations of senior leaders. This has never worked. The only possible exception was the effect Hassan Nasrallah’s death had on Hezbollah in Lebanon, but that had a great deal to do with internal Lebanese political dynamics. In all other cases, Israeli assassinations have failed to create any major political change.

In the case of Iran, the assassinations rallied the people around the government. Israel assassinated the senior commanders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), perhaps the most powerful element in current Iranian politics, but also one of the most hated by the Iranian public. Regardless, many Iranians who consider themselves staunch opponents of the Islamic Republic and especially of the IRGC found themselves supporting it. Iranians saw Iran in its entirety under attack and not just “the regime”.

Israel’s attempts to bomb “regime symbols” only made the situation worse. It attempted to spin its air strikes on Evin Prison, infamous for the torture of political prisoners, as a contribution to the struggle of the Iranian people against the repression of the Islamic Republic. But Israel’s bombs effectively worsened the situation of the prisoners, as the authorities moved many of them to unknown locations.

Bombing the “Israel doomsday clock”, which Israelis often employ as a demonstration of Iran’s commitment to Israel’s destruction, was simply pathetic.

Israel’s bombing of the Iranian state broadcaster IRIB was also absurd. Israel claimed it was curtailing the regime’s attempt to spread propaganda. As many Israelis pointed out, this bombing gave the Iranians the vindication they needed to threaten Israeli television stations as well.

If Israel did not manage to achieve its stated war goals, did it at least manage to rally the world behind it, to make the public forget about Gaza and recast Israel again as fighting the good fight? That seems dubitable at best. True, President Donald Trump and the US did strike Iranian nuclear facilities. By doing so, they violated several major rules of international law. This is likely to have long-term implications. However, Trump did not join the war alongside Israel. Immediately after the strike, the strategic bombers returned to the US.

Before and after carrying out the bombing, Trump iterated and reiterated his desire for a deal between the US and Iran, one that may also include Israel. It seems likely that the US president assisted Israel to serve his own interests as well as those of his allies in the Gulf.

While several world leaders, most notably German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, were quick to support the US strikes and “Israel’s right to defend itself”, no one adopted Israel’s stringent list of demands, which included that Iran should not be able to enrich uranium at all.

The world returned to the formula of “no nuclear weapon”, with which Iran had already announced it was willing to comply.

When it comes to the operational development of the Middle East, the world appears to find Iran a legitimate partner for doing business. This is a loss for Israel and a victory for Iran.

The very real damage to the Israeli heartland should also be considered. Israel achieved aerial dominance over Iran very quickly and struck almost at will. Iranian missiles, however, repeatedly managed to penetrate the famed Israeli air defence system, strike at the heart of Israel and across the entire country, and bring it to a standstill while inflicting an unprecedented number of casualties as well as massive destruction. Israel was running low on interceptor missiles without hopes of immediate replenishment. The Israeli economy was quickly grinding to a halt. This was another triumph for Iran.

Iran emerged from the war bruised and bombed, suffering hundreds of casualties and real damage from incessant bombing around the country. But the Islamic Republic did not crumble, even when facing a massive Israeli force.

Iranian missiles hit home, Iran’s image was not tarnished (it was seen by most of the world as a victim of an Israeli attack), and Iran’s options for response were not severely constrained. Iran successfully de-escalated by warning in advance about its “retaliation” for the US strike on its military base in Qatar.

Iran was powerful enough to convince Trump to warn Israel not to attack after the ceasefire appeared to have been violated. Iran emerged as it prefers to emerge – still standing, and with potential for the future.

Israel wanted US to do the dirty work because they know they cant. Trump did not fall for it. He took out the nuke capability that was also in our interest. Hope Israel learned something even though it is a hard lesson.

kalbokalbs

Israel accomplished a lot more than this guy gives them credit for.

Not going to get into back and forth, cuz it ain’t worth it.

Most importantly, The US has stopped Iran’s nuke program in its tracks.

  • OK, someone will say prove it. Iran moved X, Y, Z….
  • I say, OK, prove me wrong.
  • Fordo and Natanz are simply unusable, anytime in the near coming year or likely more. If, ever. These facilities had to have equipment AND material difficult to replace.
  • Isfahan, much the same. Thirty Tomahawks. IIRC, 1,000 lb warheads with pin point accuracy, truly significant damage.
  • Israel has been attacking numerous other facilities.
  • Iran may / will try to pick up their nuke program AND when detected, it’ll be easy to take out.
  • Israel lost their, but, BUT, BUT, Iran has nukes. NOT gonna fly anymore. That Wild Card Is DOA – Dead On Arrival.

The US and Global population is a huge winner after this twelve day war.

Iran certainly did not win anything, IMO. A few F35s taken out. Haphazard missile launches into Israel, is all I saw.

Israel, damaged Iran military infrastructure and senior leadership. Both huge wins in short term. But replaceable over time.

Key Iran scientists were taken out. Difficult to replace.

Bored with all of it. Weary of Stoopid Endless Wars.

Ecstatic Iran nuke program largely decimated.

pgroup2

Generally agreed.

Peace of Wild Things
H/T W. Berry

When shadows of despair arise,
And night’s soft whispers spark my fears,
I wake beneath the starlit skies,
Dreading what fate might stir my tears.

I steal away where wild ducks glide,
Their feathers gleam by water’s edge.
And great herons, in grace, abide.
I lie in peace with God’s great pledge.

No grief weighs down these creatures free,
No anxious thoughts their hearts consume,
As they alight within the lee
Beneath God’s heavens’ gentle bloom.

By still waters, my soul finds peace,
Where ripples hush the mind’s unrest.
The burdens of my fears release,
As starlight soothes my troubled breast.

Above, the sky, vast and divine,
Unfurls its arms of endless blue.
I rest within God’s grand design,
His grace a balm, my heart renewed.

For in this quiet, sacred place,
Where wild things dwell in tranquil trust,
God gives me strength to face my days,
And rise with hope, as mortals must.

God’s great pledge: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

OR

Don’t fret over things, great or small,
But pray with thanks, tell God it all.
God’s peace, beyond what minds can know,
All through your heart and mind will flow.

EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT voted AGAINST condemning the vioIent anti-ICE riots in the Los Angeles riots

And that’s because Democrats ENCOURAGE the vioIence! They want to TERR0RIZE ICE agents to stop them from doing their jobs.

Democrats are a freaking DISGRACE.

My question is why are they voting on something like this. The only possible good that I can see is that individual Dems are on record refusing to condemn violence against U.S. law enforcement, which might be used against them in the next election. Otherwise, what’s the use and why waste time on things like this?

EXCLUSIVE: Per federal sources, the vice mayor of Cudahy, a city in southeast LA County, is under FBI investigation after she allegedly posted a video to social media in which she appears to call for 18th Street & Florencia 13 gang members in LA to defend their territory from ICE, even urging gang leadership to “get your fucking members in order”.

I’m told Cynthia Gonzalez posted the video late last week, then deleted it, and that the FBI later visited her home & she is under active federal investigation.

Gonzalez posted on her social media that the FBI came to her house, and she needs a lawyer.

FBI LA tells FOX they cannot confirm or deny an investigation, but that they condemn any call for gang violence.

We’ve reached out to Gonzalez via phone and email & are awaiting a response. No response yet from the city of Cudahy either. Will update as we get more.

Fruit of the Spirit

By our faith, our old life is through,
And our new life in Him takes root.
Our life, now in Christ, starts anew;
God’s Spirit grows in us His Fruit.

It’s by His Fruit the Spirit shows,
Believers are the sons of God.
And by His Fruit the Spirit flows,
To speak to those that sin has flawed.

It’s by this fruit that we are known,
Not of darkness, but of God’s Light.
And by this fruit we all have grown
In grace and knowledge in God’s sight.

So show your fruit in grand display,
So others see your joy and peace.
Take them with you every day,
Forever seen, never to cease.

Pure speculation: If they were elderly, they might not have had the flexibility and strength required to hang in there during the time it would have taken to rescue them. The two who survived could have been younger, stronger, faster, closer to the rescuers to begin with, etc. What a sad situation.

Tucker Carlson Exposes Murdoch Plot to Take Down Trump — Says They Urged Him to Run Against 45 Right After Axing His Show
This appears to be strategic timing on Tucker’s part. 🙄 It looks like a way to place him back in the Trump camp after the things he said about bombing Iran and the heat he has taken for them. “Look, Fox tried to get me to oppose Trump, but I wouldn’t do it. The Trump win took all kinds of personalities to come together . I give everybody some slack. Whether it’s Sundance, Tucker, Rogen, MTG or some of our friends here…I think we all still believe Trump is the one and only way forward.

TheseTruths

I don’t consider Tucker to be an enemy or anything like that. I just view him with wariness and am not sure how far he can be trusted. It’s the same for some of the others. If they will fight for MAGA, great. When they don’t, they will be called out one way or another by people who are observing.

Problems will arise when Trump is no longer at the helm. Then the disparate personalities will expand their influence, and some will try to drag the movement in directions that are antithetical to its purpose. Some came from blatant Never Trumper backgrounds, and IMO they bear watching. Some have neocon tendencies. I don’t think it hurts to notice how they react to things now because it gives a glimpse into who they are.

Tucker Carlson Exposes Murdoch Plot to Take Down Trump — Says They Urged Him to Run Against 45 Right After Axing His Show

By Jim Hᴏft Jun. 24, 2025 4:20 pm172 Comments

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has come forward with explosive claims: the Murdoch family — the globalist puppet-masters behind Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, and the New York Post — tried to recruit him to run against President Donald Trump for the 2024 Republican nomination just weeks after canceling his top-rated show.

Carlson revealed that just weeks after being unceremoniously fired from Fox News in April 2023, the Murdoch family approached him with a chilling proposition: Run for President against Donald Trump.

On April 21st, FOX News released an official statement regarding Carlson’s departure: “FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

Carlson’s dismissal from the network was as unexpected to him as it was to his viewers.

Tucker, I’ve grown weary of, before he foolishly roasted Trump over B2s bombing Iran nuke sites.

Barb Meier

I hear you, Kal. I feel like some people are melting down and Tucker is among them. So strange. I did enjoy his interviews but that does not make him presidental material IMHO. The Murdoch kids are indeed scum and the only motive if they encouraged Tucker was to take votes away from Trump, not that they expected him to be able to win. Why would Tucker mention that now if he knew they just wanted to use him to divide us during an election?

kalbokalbs

Absolutely.

TheseTruths

Why would Tucker mention that now if he knew they just wanted to use him to divide us during an election?

I presented a theory earlier, that Tucker is posting something to give people someone besides him (i.e., the Murdochs and Fox) to be upset at. Because people are not happy about his comments in March about what would happen if we took out Iran’s nukes.

kalbokalbs

Yup. Pure deflecting. Look squirrel, Murdochs hate Trump. Surprise. 🙃

Barb Meier

Thanks TheseTruths! I am reminded that sometime Trump said “it’s a complicated business.” I can’t imagine knowing all these things that he must see being on the inside and handling everything so well.

I think some of the others are under foreign influence, or Deep State coercion, or blackmail, but I think Tucker showed his true colors when he said he hated Trump and was glad he was gone. We just didn’t want to listen.

The behavior of some of them is so bizarre and such a 180, I have to think there is something coming from the outside causing it.

Horseshit.

  • He said that witnessing these past two weeks unfold, has made him believe that all parties involved in this conflict, must have already agreed to a deal behind closed doors, and what we just witnessed, was probably a massive scripted theater.
  • A controlled “war”. The US, Iran, Israel, and all the superpowers, including Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, and probably more, were almost assuredly in the loop the entire time.
  • The entire world just got psyopped, and most of them will never know it.

BREAKING: Ex-Biden Aide Neera Tanden Admits Under Oath to House Oversight Committee That She Controlled Joe Biden’s Autopen
But of course there was nothing wrong, she says. She was just overseeing the autopen. The story doesn’t mention whether there is proof of Biden’s authorization to use the autopen. I’ve noticed frequently that articles do not mention what I consider to be a major factor in whatever case is being discussed. IMO, even if the authorization is not part of the information in the reporter’s possession, it would be good to mention that fact in the article because that’s what I, and I imagine lots of people, want to know about.

Here it is.

Ex-Biden official Neera Tanden admitted under oath to the House Oversight Committee during a closed-door testimony on Tuesday that she controlled Joe Biden’s autopen.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer recently identified five Biden aides who were involved in the cover-up of Joe Biden’s mental decline and autopen scandal.

Director of Domestic Policy Council Neera Tanden was brought before the Committee on Tuesday and admitted she was authorized to use Joe Biden’s autopen between October 2021 to May 2023.

According to the Washington Examiner, Neera Tanden testified that she was also authorized to direct the autopen, however, she denied manipulation or abuse.

From the Washington Examiner:

A top former aide to former President Joe Biden testified behind closed doors Tuesday for more than four hours as part of the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into his mental fitness to serve and his White House’s use of an autopen, confirming she was authorized to use the automatic signature device while pushing back on concerns about alleged manipulation or malfeasance.

Neera Tanden, who served as director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, explained in her opening remarks Tuesday that she was given authority to wield the autopen. She said she “was responsible for handling the flow of documents to and from the president” and was authorized to direct autopen use from October 2021 to May 2023 when she was serving as staff secretary and senior adviser to Biden.

Tanden confirmed that during her tenure as White House staff secretary, she oversaw the many documents coming to and from the president’s desk, and she noted that her role included authorization to direct autopen use.

“As staff secretary, I was responsible for handling the flow of documents to and from the president,” she said. “I was also authorized to direct that autopen signatures be affixed to certain categories of documents. We had a system for authorizing the use of the autopen that I inherited from prior administrations. We employed that system throughout my tenure as staff secretary.”

However, Tanden noted that she stopped overseeing autopen use after May 2023, when she became head of the Domestic Policy Council.

GWP:

The Oversight Project previously pointed out that Neera Tanden was the White House Staff Secretary when Joe Biden autopenned pardons from a golf course in the US Virgin Islands.

Neera Tanden was a frequent mention in the leaked Podesta emails released by WikiLeaks.

Tanden was one of the most vocal Russiagate conspiracy theorists. She not only attacked Republicans while she was working for Hillary Clinton, but also went for the throats of Sen. Bernie Sanders and his supporters.

Earlier this year, the Oversight Project revealed six criminals were pardoned by Biden’s autopen on December 30, 2022, while Joe Biden was vacationing and golfing in St. Croix.

Based on Neera Tanden’s Tuesday testimony, she was likely behind the Biden autopen pardons while Joe Biden was golfing in the US Virgin Islands.

Neera Tanden was/is much more than Biden’s secretary

The Center for American Progress(CAP) was lobbying on behalf of the Chinese under CCP’s overseas espionage/influence peddling organization ‘the United Front’:

The Center for American Progress(CAP) was founded by and is chaired by John Podesta. John Podesta was Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, Attorney Marc Elias was Hillary’s campaign attorney.

Stacey Abrahms sits on the Board of Directors of the Center for American Progress (CAP)…

Neera Tanden is the President & Chief Executive Order of the Center for American Progress (CAP).

Joebama appointed Tanden to be the Director of the Office of Management & Budget.  [In March, she had to withdraw due to her virulent social media posts against the very Senators who were to approve her nomination]

In 2015 Vice President, then Attorney General Kamala D Harris joined the Center for American Progress (CAP) as a Director of Education to address truancy –[The solution that Harris developed and that she was proud of instituting was the years long imprisonment of the parents under California truancy laws….]

“Think tanks and research institutions like the Atlantic Council, the Center for American Progress(CAP), the EastWest Institute, the Carter Center, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and others gorged themselves on Chinese money.”

In May 2021, Biden’s Chief of Staff, Ron Klain, brought Tanden into the White House as a Senior Advisor.

And today 10.28.21 it is announced that:
President Joe Biden has promoted Senior Advisor Neera Tanden to White House staff secretary, according to the Washington Post.

The staff secretary is a powerful official in the White House, serving as a gatekeeper for all of the president’s documents and signatures going to and from the president in the Oval Office.

Tanden, a long-time loyalist of the Clintons, has a long history of toxic behavior and vitriol on social media, which kept her from getting confirmed by the Senate to serve as the Office of Management and Budget administrator.

With me so far????

Harken Back to the days of the CIA led by Hillary acolyte David Morrell, to the vice-presidency of the very corrupt, Joe Biden…the Center for American Progress is FOUNDED by John Podesta. John Podesta becomes Hillary Clinton’s campaign director.
Neera Tanden emailed John Podesta and we have that information due to the fact that on July 19, 2015, John Podesta lost his cell phone.

The phone was hacked, The Founder of Centers for American Progress, the head of the Hillary Clinton campaign used an unsecured private server. And the hacker walked in the backdoor with full access to John Podesta’s emails…lions and tigers and bears…

The ‘hacker’ gave the emails to “Wikileaks” aka Julian Assange…

The Media Narrative at the time:
“Cybersecurity experts said on Thursday that Fancy Bear, a group of Russian-linked hackers, had infiltrated Podesta’s email. U.S. intelligence officials last week blamed the Russian government for a series of breaches intended to influence the presidential election, and the FBI is investigating the breach. CBS News’ Nancy Cordes reported that Podesta on Tuesday went step-by-step through all the contact Donald Trump and his campaign aides have had with Russian actors or with Wikileaks.”

On October 7, 2016 Wikileaks began to publish John Podesta’s emails and threatened to release emails every day until election day.,

Among those emails were emails from the President & Chief Executive, of the Center for American Progress, Neera Tanden and the Founder of the Center for American Progress & Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Director, John Podesta, discussing the then Vice-President, Joe Biden. Tanden mocked Biden as “a mess” and lobbied for then Democrat Candidate Hillary Clinton…

The Chinese Funded Fascist Dragon, Neera Tanden, is now charged with guarding what goes in or comes out of the Oval Office…

On Sept 2, 2022 Biden appointed Podesta to serve as a Senior Advisor to the President for Clean Energy Innovation and Implementation.

In fairness, not excusing Dumrats, R-Cons, (they took turns), helped pass Maggot’s legislation.

R-Cons get Zero Free Passes. R-Cons enabled the farce.

Yikes! Great information about the connections. I hate that we had those people in positions of power.

Aubergine

I did NOT think this was real, but Grok says it is! This is the most philosophical and mystical thing I have ever read or heard from President Trump. My first thought was; PAVACA, did you write this?

Doesn’t sound like Trump. Though, I am clearly not well read. 😂

No, it doesn’t.

Judiciary Is Trapped, Winning, Trump Shows The World Who Is In Control, The Hunt Is On – Ep. 3672
 June 24, 2025  x22report

https://x22report.com/judiciary-is-trapped-winning-trump-shows-the-world-who-is-in-control-the-hunt-is-on-ep-3672/

It seems like Trump might have eased sanctions for China after the peace deal was made with Iran. The [CB]/[DS] was running a shadow economic system which distorted the actual economy. Jerome Powell says the quiet part out loud. Tariffs must go. They know Trump is setting up a parallel economy. The judiciary is now losing respect. The Federal Judges are now going against the SC and Roberts will eventually need to step in. Never interfere with an enemy while they are in the process of destroying themselves. The [DS] is trying to keep the war going, Trump shuts it down. He gave the peace deal a 12 hour period, I do believe this was done to see what moves the [DS] was going to pull. Trump shuts down Iran and Israel, peace is now going to spread throughout the world. Trump showed the world who is in control. Trump is now telling the people who are in the primary, the hunt is on .

Clandestine
@WarClandestine
My father is a retired Army Officer.

He was EOD. Nuclear. Also worked for Dept of Energy. He still has Q clearance.

We talked last night, and he is astonished by what we just witnessed.

He said “that’s not the way war works, it was too perfect”.

Not just the kinetic aspect of it, but the information warfare and media misdirection, while maintaining the narrative and managing public perception, in addition to juggling untold layers of theater. It was an absolute masterclass in 5th generation warfare (5GW).

I don’t think most people, myself included, can fully wrap their minds around the amount of planning that went into this entire operation, and the amount of variables that had to be accounted for. The air strikes were, without a doubt, the easiest element of this operation. The hard part, was the information/psychological element. The real war, was in the media and on social media. The internet was the battlefield.

He said that witnessing these past two weeks unfold, has made him believe that all parties involved in this conflict, must have already agreed to a deal behind closed doors, and what we just witnessed, was probably a massive scripted theater. A controlled “war”. The US, Iran, Israel, and all the superpowers, including Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, and probably more, were almost assuredly in the loop the entire time.

There was never a real risk of the US MIL getting dragged into a ground war, and WW3 was never going to happen. Trump had the entire war won before it took place, and the entire operation was secure. The deal was already agreed to. The entire thing was scripted, and executed with flawless military precision.

Trump had complete control of the situation the entire time, and warfare has advanced into an entire new realm, far beyond the comprehension of the public.

The entire world just got psyopped, and most of them will never know it.

Extreme variation of “The One Off” by C&C and Lord Bebo. Too extreme.

It’s not that they are “all in on it”. It’s more that they are all aware of it. Meanwhile the rest of us supposed to be turning with the worm, totally oblivious that our perspectives have turned with it.

The freaking war pigs and Iran-apologists are just friggin’ desperate to have Iran still be able to threaten the world with their terrorist bullshit.

Good grief. They will never give Trump the credit he deserves.

I understand why he assumes it’s the dem media complex thing, but it could also be Bibi’s boys who don’t want to stop bombing. There are two separate issues here. The leaking and does the preliminary assessment exist. The House intel committee that was supposed to be briefed today was canceled. Has no idea what they will learn when they finally have their session and not sure I care as it’s closed door.

Israel reportedly planned to strike 15 key regime targets when Trump told Netanyahu not to respond to Iran missiles this morning

Israel was reportedly planning to strike 15 “important regime targets” in response to Iran’s violation of the fresh ceasefire with missile fire at the north this morning, before President Donald Trump told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to carry out the attack.

According to Channel 12 news, Trump told him to prevent the entire attack when they spoke by phone, Netanyahu ordered the planes held over the skies of Iran, and the Israeli “political echelon” sought one site that could be targeted “with no collateral damage.” Ultimately, a single radar target was struck.

Trump made clear to Netanyahu that he had to heed what he was saying, the report adds.

Channel 12 also notes that in a podcast today, Trump’s former key adviser Steve Bannon said that Trump’s public denunciation of Netanyahu, in which Trump said that Iran and Israel “don’t know what the f*ck they’re doing,” showed Trump as angry as he has ever seen him.

“You have the gall,” said Bannon of Netanyahu. “When [Trump] said, ‘This is what I’ve done, and I need you to be a partner, I need you to stand down,’ first [Netanyahu] says ‘I can’t stop [the imminent strike],’ which is another lie of the many lies we’ve gotten from the Netanyahu government.

That’s why he’s furious. That’s as mad as I’ve ever seen the president of the United States,” Bannon said.

“Netanyahu goes on Israel TV and glazes him. Don’t glaze him. Don’t slobber all over [Trump]. It doesn’t mean anything. You showed what you really thought of him last night,” he added.

BANNON: Trump put his reputation on the line for Israel, and Netanyahu lied to his face.

He asked for a stand down, went to sleep, and woke up to betrayal.

If you truly support Israel, stop making excuses. Start asking hard questions.

TB2, TY for your exquisite essays.

One of the most earth-shattering experiences I have ever had was visiting the church John’s son built for his parents and the catacomb for John, Abigail, John Quincy and his wife, Louisa.

All four are interred there. It is quite a site. John and Abigail’s last house is nearby. Quite a tour. This is where the photograph of John was taken.

Tears abound upon the grave sites, for whatever one believes about John Adams. His gift was so great.

John’s photograph was taken in the front parlor on the right of the front door.

PS John and Abigail’s farm in Braintree is right nearby. Abigail was the one who kept the farm and her ‘little flock’ of children going during our American War of Independence.

Their life was so beautiful and close, save for John and his son’s God-given script to change the world.

You know what is amazing to me? John Adams had a photograph taken of him.

Consider the technology! Thank God.

TheseTruths

You know, that photo is of his son, John Quincy Adams. It can be found on his Wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Quincy_Adams

John Adams died in 1826, and the first portrait photograph wasn’t taken until 1839.

https://petapixel.com/first-photos-photography-history

Robert Cornelius set up a camera and took the world’s first portrait (and self-portrait) in the back of a business on Chestnut Street in Center City, Philadelphia. Cornelius sat in front of the lens for a little over a minute, before leaving the seat and covering the lens. The now-iconic photograph was captured 170+ years ago in 1839.

Still, it’s remarkable to have a photo of our 6th president, taken in 1843!

Oh, had no idea. My mistake!!!

Went through a tour of the house and just went blank!!! Please erase my posts!!!

Was in that parlor, but in a fog!!!!

No problem! I think Wolf has a policy of not erasing comments. It’s okay. People can see how much you care about the subject. I had not seen any of what you posted before, so I found it to be quite interesting.

WSB

Oh, thank you.

These pieces of history seem to be long forgotten. I try to keep up!

Had the pleasure of living in MA and CT growing up so, the actions of 1775 and later stay with a lot of us, as faded as they are!

WSB

I must say TT, President Trump may have the same rough style that John Adams had, but maybe for a reason.

May God bless us all.

WSB

Why the dress coat and the shoes are so different!

WSB

John Quincy knew how extraordinary his parents were.

How beautiful that John Quincy knew the best, simplest way to preserve his family’s legacy.

It is a full round story of being simply extraordinary.

I have tears every time I remember my experience with them.

Not sure about the chair.

Just wanted to correct the post. This is John Quincy Adams.

I love this line from Sundance’s analysis…..

This week wasn’t just about stopping Iran. It was also about taking Israel’s “Iran has nukes!” card off the table.”

Exactly!

So, WordPress is acting up for all sites tonight. Jetpack or not. I have been having trouble all day as many others at Marica’s and Sylvia’s.

Wolf Moon

This is one of the reasons I bailed out of using both Akismet and JetPack. It allowed “somebody else’s software” to control who could get on the site, and for many people it would pester them enough that they just gave up.

Somehow, logged back in again! TY!
