I’m still using the quote about winning the battles but losing the war. It seems like this doesn’t make sense right now given that we seem to be going from triumph to triumph.
On the contrary. This is the exception that proves the rule. The quote isn’t just a lament, it’s to point out why we can never seem to win.
You see, the RINOs cannot interfere and that is why, just for once, we are actually winning. And that is just one more piece of evidence (for the willfully blind) as to what I have been saying with that quote.

Just a friendly reminder Speaker Johnson. You’re doing some good things–or at least trying in the case of the budget–but this is the most important thing out there still hanging. One initial block released with the promise of more…and?
We have American patriots being held without bail and without trial, and the tapes almost certainly contain exculpatory evidence. (And if they don’t, and we’re all just yelling in an echo chamber over here, we need to know that too. And there’s only one way to know.)
Either we have a weaponized, corrupt government or we have a lot of internet charlatans. Let’s expose whatever it is. (I’m betting it’s the corrupt weaponized government, but if I am wrong, I’d like to see proof.)
Justice Must Be Done.
The 2020 election must be acknowledged as fraudulent, and steps must be taken to prosecute the fraudsters and restore integrity to the system.
Yes this is still true in spite of 2024. Fraud must be rooted out of our system and that hasn’t changed just because the fraud wasn’t enough to stop Trump winning a second term. Fraud WILL be ramped up as soon as we stop paying attention.
Otherwise, everything ends again in 2028. Or perhaps earlier if Trump is saddled with a Left/RINO congress in 2026, via fraud.
Small Government?
Many times conservatives (real and fake) speak of “small government” being the goal.
This sounds good, and mostly is good, but it misses the essential point. The important thing here isn’t the size, but rather the purpose, of government. We could have a cheap, small tyranny. After all our government spends most of its revenue on payments to individuals and foreign aid, neither of which is part of the tyrannical apparatus trying to keep us locked down and censored. What parts of the government would be necessary for a tyranny? It’d be a lot smaller than what we have now. We could shrink the government and nevertheless find it more tyrannical than it is today.
No, what we want is a limited government, limited not in size, but rather in scope. Limited, that is, in what it’s allowed to do. Under current circumstances, such a government would also be much smaller, but that’s a side effect. If we were in a World War II sort of war, an existential fight against nasty dictatorships on the brink of world conquest, that would be very expensive and would require a gargantuan government, but that would be what the government should be doing. That would be a large, but still limited government, since it’d be working to protect our rights.
World War II would have been the wrong time to squawk about “small government,” but it wasn’t (and never is) a bad time to demand limited government. Today would be a better time to ask for a small government–at least the job it should be doing is small today–but it misses the essential point; we want government to not do certain things. Many of those things we don’t want it doing are expensive but many of them are quite eminently doable by a smaller government than the one we have today. Small, but still exceeding proper limits.
So be careful what you ask for. You might get it and find you asked for the wrong thing.
Political Science In Summation
It’s really just a matter of people who can’t be happy unless they control others…versus those who want to be left alone. The oldest conflict within mankind. Government is necessary, but government attracts the assholes (a highly technical term for the control freaks).
His Truth?
Again we saw an instance of “It might be true for Billy, but it’s not true for Bob” logic this week.
I hear this often, and it’s usually harmless. As when it’s describing differing circumstances, not different facts. “Housing is unaffordable” can be true for one person, but not for another who makes ten times as much.
But sometimes the speaker means it literally. Something like 2+2=4 is asserted to be true for Billy but not for Bob. (And when it’s literal, it’s usually Bob saying it.) And in that sense, it’s nonsense, dangerous nonsense. There is ONE reality, and it exists independent of our desires and our perceptions. It would go on existing if we weren’t here. We exist in it. It does not exist in our heads. It’s not a personal construct, and it isn’t a social construct. If there were no society, reality would continue to be what it is, it wouldn’t vanish…which it would have to do, if it were a social construct.
Now what can change from person to person is the perception of reality. We see that all the time. And people will, of course, act on those perceptions. They will vote for Trump (or try to) if their perception is close to mine, and vote against Trump (and certainly succeed at doing so) if their perception is distant from mine (and therefore, if I do say so, wrong). I have heard people say “perception is reality” and usually, that’s what they’re trying to say–your perception of reality is, as far as you know, an accurate representation of reality, or you’d change it.
But I really wish they’d say it differently. And sometimes, to get back to Billy and Bob, the person who says they have different truths is really saying they have different perceptions of reality–different worldviews. I can’t argue with the latter. But I sure wish they’d say it better. That way I’d know that someone who blabbers about two different truths is delusional and not worth my time, at least not until he passes kindergarten-level metaphysics on his umpteenth attempt.

Title: “TRUMP V. CASA FOR DUMMIES AND AOC”
OK, as a public service, I will now explain the SCOTUS Trump v. Casa decision from earlier today like I would explain it to a seven-year-old. Or to AOC. (Not that there is a difference.)
This is all about what is known in the law as “equitable relief.” In non-criminal cases in courts generally, rulings result either in an award of monetary damages OR an order to do or stop doing something. That latter action is known as “equitable relief” or “equity.” Basically, it means that fairness says some sort of monetary damages are not enough, so the loser in the case must be forced to take some action or stop taking some action as a matter of fairness. In other words, “fairness” = “equity.”
The problem with equitable relief becomes timing. If you wait months or years before a final decision where you can enforce an equitable solution, the plaintiff (the person bringing the case before the judge) might be very badly harmed because the defendant’s (the person the case was brought against) actions could keep hurting the plaintiff in a way that cannot be fixed later. So, in such cases, judges of all types can offer things like a “preliminary injunction” or a “temporary restraining order.” Basically these things mean that the judge says “Hey, I know this case is not decided yet, but there is a chance that Mr. Plaintiff is experiencing real harm right now, so even though the case is not yet decided, I am ordering Mr. Defendant to stop doing what he has been doing for the time being until we decide this case.”
Now what I just described—the branch of law we call equity—has been part of American law since its founding, and is a carryover from ancient English common law. You can see equitable rulings at every level of practically every court—they are quite common and always have been.
The relatively new problem that Trump v. Casa addressed is what is known as “universal injunctions.”
Let’s say some court somewhere hears a case where Mrs. Jones sues her neighbor, Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith is building a duck pond on his property, and as a result water is leaking into Mrs. Jones’ basement. Mrs. Jones sues Mr. Smith in county court, and the judge issues a preliminary injunction that tells Mr. Smith to stop building the pond until the case is decided. A “universal injunction” is when the judge ALSO says “and every other person in America building a duck pond in their backyard must stop doing so immediately while we decide this case.”
So what the Democrats have been doing since Trump took office is this. Trump will order some action Democrats don’t like. Democrats will forum shop for some extreme left-wing federal district in Massachusetts or New Jersey or some other deeply neo-Marxist state, and bring a case against what Trump did. The lefty federal district court judge will then right away say, “The plaintiff might win this, so I am issuing a preliminary injunction telling Trump to stop doing what he is doing, and because I’m a federal judge, this preliminary injunction does not apply just in my district, it applies everywhere in the USA.” Then, even though Trump can ultimately appeal all the way to SCOTUS, Trump’s action has been “enjoined” (i.e., stopped) for months or years until the case is finally decided.
This practice of universal injunctions has been going on for a really long time, and no one has done anything about it. It’s been like that sweat ball dangling off Dr. Joyce Brothers’ nose in a health club sauna that Roseanne Roseannadanna talked about—it’s just been hanging there but never failing for years and years.
But today the sweat ball fell off the nose.
SCOTUS looked at the American history of equitable relief and decided that equitable relief was always meant to apply ONLY TO THE PARTIES IN A SPECIFIC CASE, and was never meant to apply to all such situations across the country.
This basically means that when President Trump says “deport illegals” and some judge in Minnesota says “NO,” that “no” can only apply to the party bringing the case before that judge in Minnesota, and Trump’s order can be carried out everywhere else.
This is a YUGE win for the Constitution and the rule of law, and for MAGA.
(I know I have a lot of attorney followers, and to them I say, yes I know this is over-simplified. That is the point—so AOC can understand it. Or a seven-year-old.)
YUUUGEEE win. The Trump agenda can proceed apace without Marxist abuse of the Constitution and the rule of law.

And I think the brilliant ACB (remember the meme they made of her confirmation hearing, where she held up her BLANK notepad?) has just had it. So she humiliated KBJ in public. I think she probably hopes KBJ will develop a “sudden illness” and resign from the court, if she is knocked down enough pegs. Or that she will rein in her staff and fade to background irrelevance.
Either way, ACB has had enough of it.
It’s not supposed to work this way, but I hope that would make ACB lean more to the right on certain issues.
What I hope is, it puts an end to the “girls club” mentality that has influenced her thinking, and her votes. Because (most) women are subject to that kind of manipulation. And I think ACB, as the lone (semi)-conservative woman on the court, has been manipulated by it. It’s a lonely world at the top of the food chain, and I think the women on the court would exclude her from the group as a means of controlling her. It’s high school mean-girl behavior, and it is very effective against most women.
I don’t want Justices to “lean” in any direction. I want them to apply the Constitution to the law to determine if the law should stand. That’s their job, that’s ALL they should do. Period.

There’s a gray area here. Or at least, one that Miller didn’t color in.
We have two LEGAL immigrants, not yet citizens, husband and wife; and they give birth to a child. Is that child a citizen, or will it have to be naturalized as well? Almost certainly not an NBC no matter what.
SCOTUS said yes over 100 years ago.
I’m not surprised the issue has been dealt with. Miller didn’t elaborate, nor do I expect him to when his purpose is to educate leftist shit-for-brains–much has to be left out.
I would infer (by backtracking) that those legal immigrants are deemed to be “subject to the jurisdiction” of the US. (That’s a hazardous method of logic though; the child may be a citizen for some other reason.)
I guess what is needed here is a clear definition (that can be used to cover most if not all hypotheticals) of “subject to the jurisdiction of”
It would have to exclude foreign diplomants, tourists, and illegals, while including citizens (obviously)–sometimes even when they’re overseas–and legal immigrants not yet naturalized.

Similarly to the Ark case, I grew up with a friend who was born in the US to a mother who was a naturalized citizen, born in the UK. Father was NB American, yet the grandmother was considered a legal resident of the US.
The grandmother could only vote in the UK and had other restrictions in the US. NOT considered a citizen.
My friend’s father was born with parents of the soil, so my friend could, unless SCOTUS ever decides differently, run for POTUS.
And this is only because SCOTUS has never weighed in on whether a mother has bearing (excuse the pun) along with the father of a child.
Back during the ratification, women were still property of the husband so no one has ever determined if a Natural-born citizen only needs to have a father or both parents born of the soil.

Yup. The center of gravity of the tree was outside of the tree itself. No matter how they cut it, it was going to fall in the direction of the center of gravity.

OK, that was pretty small, but it looks like somebody was up there attaching that rope. Sadly, no rope would have helped this. Even chains would have had to have pulled the entire tree many feet to the left, to get the COG back over the wedge cut to make it fall that way.
The safe strategy would have been to cut away most of the tree to the right (the house side) and leave all of the upper tree to the left. THEN do the wedge cut in the trunk, away from the house. And even that might fail, if there was not enough weight to move the COG properly.

What most people can’t wrap their heads around, is that every large, powerful, international organization like this, on earth, in the history of the world, will eventually do the exact same thing, whether it was originally intended to (as most probably are) or not.

Forgery is a specific intent crime. While the facts as related are enough for probable cause, they are not enough for conviction [beyond reasonable doubt].
In order to show intent, the prosecutor must produce circumstantial evidence [a log entry that is unusual; a witness to whom a confession has been made; a witness who witnessed the defendant sneaking into Room Autopen at inappropriate times; etc.] OR the defendant makes incriminating statements after receiving Miranda warnings. It will be hard to convict anybody of the specific criminal intent, thanks to the 5th.

What this means is that the IRS may have my SSN (867-53-0909), but when it’s with my name, Wolf Moon, it generates MY profile, but when it’s with Jesus Ocacio-Cortez, it generates a different profile, and they make sure the two profiles are separate, and that one name does not have access to the data of the other.
I think part of the reason they are so up-front about this scammy data-keeping, is to hide any consciousness of guilt. They know the UniParty wants it, but they also know that either end of the UniParty may turn on them at any time, and throw them under the bus. Thus, they act like they know it’s OK, but never point fingers as to who it might have been “OK” with!

It sounds like the IRS is facilitating part a massive money theft/washing ring operation for black budgets and other sorts of illicit activities run at a governmental level. The illegal immigrant portion is just one layer of a complicated system of back door graph. Musk is right. The social security number should be enough. Adding more identifiers will solve nothing if the IRS intentionally does not maintain discipline on their system. Firing IRS department heads will likely not fix the system as the execution is likely done by middle management and tied in to the Social Security Administration which intentionally operates in the same illicit manner.
The 582 day average is likely the result of the recalcitrance in fixing any known problem, the need to reroute accounts, and a separate private industry graft system that proports to fix the problem, thus serving as a panacea, but in reality is just an additional stall and siphoning tool that allows consumer pockets to be further picked at yet a larger scale. .

The system is simply stupid.
A SSN is supposed to be both a unique identifier and a password, effectively; if you know someone’s unique identifier you can pretend to be them.
It both identifies and authenticates. This is horrific design; imagine a computer system where just typing your user name (which has to be unique) got you in.
If they were separate I could tell some identity thief my SSN and it would do him no good without my password. Instead, it IS my password.

Mini ground report:
Yesterday, Yours Truly had dinner with her son and household — a Belated Birthday dinner for him.
SIL and her husband were absent. I found out that the husband had been taken to the hospital the day before with cardio issues. It was “problematic” if he would make to the hospital — the EMS crew had the “paddles” ready. But he rallied enough so get to the hospital and go straight into cardio ICU.
Turns out he now has Afib. Was kept overnight for more testing and start of medications. He’s back home but now with restrictions, medications, etc.
This man is about 74 years old. Hearty, walks, plays golf, travels with SIL a lot, does some “home carpentry”, etc. No history of cardio issues that I have heard of.
However — he has also taken likely at least 4 shots of the COVID-19 “vaccines.”
His original (10 years ago) cornea transplants failed last year; his body rejected one of the new transplants, which then had to be performed with another cornea.
Yours Truly isn’t a medical professional. Haven’t stayed at a Holiday Inn. Doesn’t play one on TV.
But, Yours Truly has researched and written about the adverse effects of the COVID-19 “vaccines.”
IMO, what happened to SIL’s husband, absent other considerations that might have caused this incident — is related to the cardiovascular damage that the COVID-19 “vaccines” did (and continue to do) to his body.
I hope his situation improves.
