As our family’s very excellent beach adventure nears that we call our Fall Frolic, I felt it was time to give an updated Ground Report from this neck of the woods since it is in a tourism mecca for the eastern US. Literally millions of “leafers” will be on the prowl into this region to enjoy the beautiful colors and pleasant conditions of hillbilly country in Autumn.
They will be faced with frequent traffic issues in the form of bottlenecks on the main interstates and highways. I expect some “off the beaten path” travels and adventures, which will be of economic benefit to some smaller communities in the area. I will address a few of the primary road issues later in this report.
But first…
Bud
Thank you very much for your prayers and concerns for Bud. I am very happy to report his surgery went as well as we all hoped. Bud’s dad called me after he made it back to his room. Doc #2 did exactly what he said needed to be done and would do. He did a resection of 10″ of the diseased/dead part of his colon, closed, and sent him to recovery. The procedure took less than an hour. He was out of recovery three hours later with a normal meal, well, as much as hospital food can be normal, waiting for him in his room. He was told he could eat whatever food he wanted that did not cause him discomfort. He will be in the hospital for a couple more days and released if it all goes as expected. He will have a no heavy lifting restriction for three months.
The surgery was identical to my father’s from sixty years ago. The result is similar as well. We are all encouraged by the results and God’s provision. He dodged a bullet with idgit Doc #1. The lesson being always to pray first and then get a second opinion if you have any doubts whatsoever with anything medical.
Chemtrails Again In The News
Below there is a link with MTG coming off the top rope on chemtrails. Like or dislike her, the awareness she is bringing to the issue is a very good thing. I am still amazed at the people who will accept and agree that the jabs turned out to be a bad thing for humanity since they have been obviously injuring and killing people worldwide. But mention this subject and they go into denial and think it is BS or another annoying conspiracy theory even with the government itself admitting that it has been done for over 80 years.
It’s just another tool in the belt of the globalist criminals with depop and creating chaos for business opportunities. Your injury or death means nothing short of a celebration to them.
Anecdotal observations for our region have been that weather patterns are returning to the 1980’s and early 1990’s patterns in the eastern part of the state, which means normal to you flatlanders. Call it a regular old climate cycle. Precipitation has been historically normal without many extremes of deluges or severe droughts that had become common for the past 30 years. Temps have dropped as a trend overall. Local insect population has declined from its unprecedented annoyance level of the past several decades and is now more typical of this mountainous area. Wildlife remains abundant. One other pleasantry has been that we enjoyed cool nights in the 50’s for nearly two weeks in mid-late August before warming up moderately into September. That has not happened since the late 1980’s. We have returned to “mild” and pleasant conditions for which this area was formerly noted, along with the brilliant blue, non-chem trailed skies
All of that says the fall colors could be spectacular in the region unless the remaining government criminal embeds pull off more wildfires.
It also means the potential for some major snowfall events, which have not been seen around here for a long time. The old farmers’ weather predictions related to fogs in August bringing snow in winter will be scary this year if proven true. It was very foggy in the mornings for over half of the month of August, as in so dense you could not see more than 20 feet in front of you type foggy at times. Will see how it goes. I am thankful for my tri-fuel generator just in case. In the 1980’s and early 1990’s we had some dandy winter storms that paralyzed the area.
Effects of Helene
Less than two weeks ago there were local news reports about Helene’s on-going effects that blew many of us away. Of course the national fake news would never report it so I am doing so here. There was a feature story from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) that controls the waterways and lakes in our region. Their leadership and engineers discussed openly on local newscasts that if they had not opened the dams more and lowered the water levels of the lakes a few weeks before Helene hit, there would have been two or three dam failures in east TN as the volume from the storm increased water levels in those affected lakes by 21 feet. Their assessment was that both Knoxville, Chattanooga and everything within the vicinity would have been been flooded. More than 2 million people would have likely had their lives signficantly impacted. The DOD, DOE and Oak Ridge National Lab reservation would also have been affected as it sits along the Clinch River basin that is in this discussed TVA controlled flood zone. Same with the University of Tennessee main campus that is located on the Tennessee River in downtown Knoxville.
Once again by the providence of God, a regional calamity was avoided by the wise acts of unseen engineers, who had no idea an event was coming of Helene’s magnitude in just a few weeks. They believed that precipitation in the weeks prior to Helene was above normal and raising lake levels more than they deemed appropriate and safe, so they took action sooner than normal. They saved lives and untold misery.
All I can say is that it was a good thing residents around here did not know or there would have an untold amount of panic and chaos.
Nah, nothing to see here. Cloud seeding and geoengineering are BS. Receiving 1.5-2.5 feet of precipitation in 48 hours on top of a mountain range from a hurricane that made landfall hundreds of miles away that was initially going in the opposite direction, a path that all previous hurricanes have taken, would not cause that. Would it?
🤪
As things stand now in east TN, these TVA operated lakes and waterways are in recovery. We were very fortunate the dams did not fail during the event. As it was, massive flooding of area rivers and tributaries contributed to towns flooding, death, property damage, and extended despair. Lake clean up efforts will pick back up this fall since water levels were lowered by TVA as they are supposed to do every year. They made sure they informed the public it had been done this time. As Mother Nature cleans herself, recreational activities in the lakes will also increase. As an example, due to the nastiness of the water quality the many professional bass fishing tournaments typically held in the region post Helene were cancelled or relocated. I am pleased to report that they have resumed for the fall/winter schedule beginning in late September. That is a very good sign water quality conditions and natural habitats are improving.
Area Roads/Bridges
Now on to the road situation. Most of us never really think about all of the bridges we cross each day. In the affected area in TN alone there were 47 bridges destroyed. Yup. Due to the great efforts of our state’s DOT and related contractors, 29 have been rebuilt a year later. This includes the bridges wiped out along I-26 in the most affected Unicoi County area, a massive rebuild. Most of the contractors worked straight through the coldest parts of winter to get things done. They are unsung heroes.
Which leads to the most important damaged section of interstate road in the region; eleven miles of I-40 through the gorge at the state lines of NC and TN. Earlier in the spring the contractor was able to get two lane traffic going along this stretch. Large tractor trailer rigs had to reroute such that only smaller rigs are permitted on the road as it was on I-26 for a year.
The good news is that traffic through the area generally moves, albeit more slowly, such that delays are usually only around 30 minutes or so unless you are on it during peak periods. The other good news is that they are rebuilding in the manner they would if it was a dam. They are going 30′ down into the bedrock along the river and building a dam like structure for the entire eleven miles. Rock slides will no longer cause extended shut downs for clean up and repairs and the adjacent river will no longer wash out the road bed. The various governmental entities got together and agreed to build the best it can be and the funding is appropriated. This is encouraging because it is a major national interstate that cross country truckers and tourists are dependent upon.
The bad news is that it will take three years to complete. Yup – 2028. Oh well, at least the construction is well underway.
Total cost of project will be $1.36 billion for eleven miles of road rebuilding. Ouch.
Thankfully, FL has joined us in the chemtrails/geoengineering ban. That is a big deal. Hopefully, other Atlantic/Gulf bordering states will follow suit soon.
Regional Economy
The negative effects of Helene and its destruction of roads and bridges messed with tourism in the affected area. That would seem pretty obvious.
Not according to the local fake news media. They keep telling us that they are certain it is Trump’s tariffs causing it. Yes, despite TN’s 3.6 unemployment rate and a national CPI of 2%, the economy is slowing they say and people are having to stretch their budgets. Of course, people always have to stretch their budgets even in the best of times. That is just a tired old expression used by idgits in media.
The propaganda continues. The interesting thing to me is they continue to say leftist garbage in a deep red area while it is painfully obvious they have a dwindling number of advertisers to pay for those young, inexperienced (cheap) fakebook style news reporters.
In fact, the local Fox affiliate no longer has its own news staff. They contract the local NBC affiliate to use their news staff to provide it. That Fox affiliate is just hanging on by a thread.
In reality our tourism numbers through July revealed a 6% downturn year to date, although more recent visitation is surging unbelievably strong. The following photo was not taken in the middle of tourism season in July. This was from this past Saturday in October and an on-going thing for the past couple of weeks.

SIL was called in after his night shift later that day to assist with thousands of unruly young people who had taken over the roads throughout the county. So, authorities cancelled the second day of their event in response. Organizers have been told they are no longer welcome here. The recently hired new City Manager is much more safety oriented than the previous good ole boy who was afraid to step on anybody’s toes.
Some of the car shows and rod runs are getting out of hand, like this one did. It will no longer be tolerated throughout the area. Some residents could not leave or return to their neighborhoods due to the effects that day. They let their elected officials know they will take it into their own hands if it happens again. They put the heat on the mayors and the results were good.
Tourism will all end up strong on the year as it usually does. It has helped from a labor point of view with ICE cleaning things up. There are less illegals for employers to hire in restaurants, cleaning, lawn services and construction. You know, the ones the employers frequently pay cash under the table or otherwise pay for contractor services; who pay cash and provide housing free of charge under the table to their illegal employees. I know that probably shocks some readers. Not. Deporting them helps the rental housing market crunch for the citizens moving here for the many jobs that are available.
It is happening in the SC lowcountry as well. Per friends and news reports, ICE has been busy picking up illegal workers who had, yup, fake social security numbers and no visas. They were working in local businesses such as landscaping/nursery companies, construction, restaurants and such. Buh-bye, amigos. Their families are shown the door and head out with their departures. The businesses that hired them are then investigated and many are fined. They are monitored closely after that.
Expect voting turn out and results to change. Oh well…
Most know that many employers are a major reason we have many illegals in this country. The remaining illegals in our area have been left some time to self deport before being dealt with when ICE has more assets available. That appears to be soon as a large influx of ICE officers arrived two weeks ago. Employers have been placed on notice that they are aware of some who are still employed and residing in the area. I expect many to head out over the next 60 days. By exiting voluntarily they now know they can probably reenter legally with worker visas at some point. However, at that point the employers can no longer hire and pay them under the table, so there will be less of them.
The short lived tourism downturn was primarily due to much road construction during the peak tourism season even in areas that were not affected by Helene. This area is at the crossroads of two of the most traveled and far reaching interstates in America; I-75 north and south and I-40 east and west. I-81 also feeds into it from north and east. Both 40 and 75 have major road rebuilding and bridge replacement projects going on within an hour of the subject area that have made traveling a nightmare at times. Some of it had nothing to do with Helene, it was just age and condition related. The 75 rebuild/repaving project is nearing completion.
I also hate to tell Dolly she pushed the pricing envelope too far, but Dolly, you pushed the pricing envelope too far. That has not helped things. Many local folks can no longer afford the annual passes. That has not stopped the park from adding at least one major amusement ride to the park each year and this off season is no exception.
https://www.dollywood.com/themepark/rides/nightflight-expedition/
Things around here should grow in a big way in 2026. Conditions have not deterred many new attractions and businesses from going under construction throughout the area. Expansion is rapid in both commercial and residential sectors regionally. Housing inventory has improved. It is still tighter than normal, but going the right direction without an uptick in prices. If anything the prices have drifted down a bit with the increased inventory.
The industrial, educational and governmental sectors remain stable. Industrial will jump forward when the licensed nuclear power plant for DOD and private businesses in the Oak Ridge area is completed down the road. This new plant will be located at the site of a former small coal fired TVA power plant that was taken off line and removed recently.
Churches
Talk about a resurgence. My goodness, so many churches are growing rapidly. Baptist, Global Methodist and non-denominational are leading the charge. The “progressive” churches are declining steadily, but not anywhere enough to offset the growth in the others. Catholic churches have remained stable.
Young people were returning to church around here even before Charlie’s death, which mirrors a nationwide trend. That is a very good thing. As the drug culture is beaten back, I expect more of the same. Trans is not much of a thing in our neck of the woods, nor are pedos and perverts accepted in any way. Only the white liberal women will support any of them around here, which means the other 90+% of our population will not tolerate any of it.
Charlie Kirk’s death had an impact here as it has nationwide. People are still talking about what happened. People who would have never believed the truth about our current situation as a nation, do now. TPUSA chapters are booming.
Schools
A funny thing happened when ICE made its appearance. Children of illegals began disappearing as well. All of sudden there were many vacant desks in all of the classrooms this fall as school started. When added to the rapid expansion of homeschooling and 20 K of state students receiving financial assistance to attend private schools via the state’s school choice program, well, the times they are a’changing. All that led to some significant teacher, tutor and assistant layoffs. Which led to the state teacher association (non-union – right to work state) to becoming quieter and more cooperative with state authorities and administrators. It also reduced facility expansion plans in many school districts, which takes more tax burden off local tax paying residents.
Imagine that. The next thing the officials will be telling us is that the state’s comprehensive test scores have significantly improved.
It’s science.
😀
Medical Care
Another funny thing happened when ICE made its appearance; medical offices and hospitals are providing easier access to citizens. Wait times in emergency rooms have declined. Access to physicians is met with, “What time works for you that day?” and “If you need to be seen today I can work you in at 3 PM.” type responses. Lobbies are empty to having small numbers with short wait times to be seen. It is as if 1990 has returned to our area.
Food/Fuel Pricing
Overall food prices are down significantly everywhere. There is no denying that truth any more. Fuel prices have started slowly trending down. In our area it takes tourism to decline into the off season to see substantial declines of fuel prices. But the trend is down.
Conclusion
I could rattle on, but that is enough to give a good indication for where we are. I hope some of you will do likewise and talk about your areas so the rest of us can learn more about what is going on in this great country of ours.

Please remember Wolf’s rules for our community. In general that means to be respectful to each other and to pull no shenanigans that your mom might find offensive or otherwise cause jail time. That said, free speech is honored here.
Be blessed and go make something good happen!

Saw this at Marica’s. Apparently Portland Police Dept. is coordinating with panti-fa, and they’re doing it on video for the whole world to see:

“UNBELIEVABLE FOOTAGE! I witnessed Portland PD giving advice to ANTIFA terrorists on how to avoid federal troops being allowed into the city after the temporary restraining order (TRO) against President @realDonaldTrump was upheld by the activist judge. He did this even after hearing ANTIFA wishing death on @RealBlackRebel_ and MAGA. Portland PD is owned by ANTIFA! All of these traitors need to be arrested and prosecuted!
Let ICE do their job, deport every illegal and arrest everyone who gets in the way including compromised local PD!

After watching it a couple more times, it looks like there are MAGA people there AND panti-fa, and the cop was telling panti-fa to get out of the street so someone doesn’t get hit by a car.
The person who originally posted the tweet (Ben Bergquam) is claiming Portland is coordinating with panti-fa. Hopefully there’s more video to that effect, otherwise I’m not sure how this amounts to much.
That same guy is in this video.
Nick Sortor:
It could be that panti-fa has some kind of permission to be protesting on that street, since we see streets shut down in blue states all the time for protests.
Or I suppose it could be that police have made a determination that the crowd is too large to disperse without calling in riots squads, so they are routing traffic away from or around the area where the protest is taking place.
Both to protect the protesters, and to protect the women in that SUV from having their windows smashed and being pulled out of the vehicle and beaten to death by the mob.
That doesn’t excuse any of it, but the police do have a plausible reason to stop traffic without actually supporting panti-fa.
Until we have more info, it could be that social media is just stirring the pot.
Considering how ‘bad’ these bad actors are, I would expect a lot worse things to be able to showcase panti-fa doing, than the video I posted and the one you followed up with.
It reminds me of Venezuela, where the government is aligned with the far-left mob, and then directs law enforcement to stand by and allow the illegal behavior by their allies, but not in response by their political opponents (the middle class).
The left attempted to “get Trump” on this on January 6, 2021. It’s now clear that their hope was that Trump would make explicit moves to support violent protest. This is a leftist specialty – and they know how to cover it up and make it all look legal, normal, and OK. In contrast, it would be much more of a contradiction for Trump to engage in such behavior, and they could “get him” for doing it.
Which is – at the level of principle – a lot like Watergate, where the DS basically entrapped Nixon for doing what they themselves do best.
It happens across the Dem spectrum.
Schools with zero tolerance policy that will yank a kid for making a gun with his hand in the play yard but give a kid that brings a real gun to school counseling.
Then there’s the completely discriminatory relaxed policies regarding minorities not in compliance with motor vehicle violations.
The bias is in sports. The favored minorities rarely receive punishment for deliberate infractions.
Antifa is the protest sector that’s been normalized and now swaddled like babies..getting daddy talks from LE..really?
I played that for Hubby and explained it.
He said the Charlotte NC Police Union asked the mayor, gov & President Trump to send in federal help. After the Ukrainian girl was murdered there were fifteen more murders in that city.
The Charlotte Police Union also said, “If you had followed our suggestions for the last five years, the problem would not exist.”
Wow!
I wouldn’t give Portland PD too much leeway. This also happened
disgusting!
It’s gross!
We’ve all seen the frozen water bottles, the whatever mixture of “ice cream” cones, the skateboards, the flagpole bayonets, chains, bricks, asphalt chunks, bike lock…you name it, they’ve used it but here they are getting a pep talk as if it’s the ref giving instruction before a boxing bout.
I have the feeling that these protesters are the newbies, the vanilla jv team. The hard cores will make their appearance when the puppeteers want real action to provoke more response.
As posted a few times, Portland PD are part of the problem. Active participant.
yes, they play their part too.
IIRC antifa burned the police station and I distinctly remember a fire they started in the lobby of the building where the mayor owned a unit. They treat them as miscreant yutes ..like oh well. ‘Let them destroy’ because of their deep feelz.
Vile Pigs
Got my sample ballot for the Nov 4 California special election called by Random Nuisance.
Statewide Measure 50 — authorizes gerrymandered congressional districts — hard NO.
County Measure A — “to help our community address severe federal cuts enacted by the President and Congress” — additional 0.625% sales tax — hard NO.
Unexpired term of County Assessor — four candidates, three of whom sound totally socialist. Write-ins possible.
To put this into perspective, County Assessors in California don’t do very much in the way of assessment.
Back in 1978, the State of California was getting tax-happy and properties were reassessed any time local governments thought they needed more money……which, as you might guess, was constantly. What made this particularly galling was that property values tended to rise during inflation, which was becoming understood as being entirely caused by spendthrift government actions. Thus the government spent irresponsibly, causing real estate values to increase, and the assessors would raise assessments, giving governments more tax revenues to spend irresponsibly.
This lead to Proposition 13, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1978_California_Proposition_13 [or https://www.sccassessor.org/faq/understanding-proposition-13 for the local take].
In simplistic terms, your property is assessed only when purchased and at the purchase price. That’s the base value. There’s no professional assessment, you just have to read the sales paperwork.
If you pull a permit and do work on your property, you will be assessed on the new work as if you purchased it in the current year. As an example, we replaced our kitchen for something like $80,000 a number of years ago — it’s in the permit, and there’s no real assessment involved.
About the only place where County Assessors actually have to assess anything (instead of merely keeping track of public records) is in the value of replaced sections. Again, with our house, let’s say we purchased the whole thing for $360,000, of which $240,000 was the structure, and 10% of that was the kitchen. Our new base value of the house would be $120,000 [land] + 240,000 [house] – 24,000 [old kitchen] + 80,000 [new kitchen]. Only the value of the old kitchen sacrificed is actually assessed by the County Assessor — they have no jurisdiction over anything else.
The assessed value is the base value + inflation adjustment (limited to 2%) per year.
Proposition 13 was hated by statists from Day One, and various schemes have been attempted to weaken it or evade its precepts.
Property tax is an Abomination for supposedly Free People! As is inheritance tax 😡 not to mention income tax!
They each have their place if only the taxes were strictly linked to the benefits they fund.
For example — property taxes should fund roads, code enforcement departments, recorders of deeds, police (for trespass), fire, and the like;
property taxes should NOT fund bus routes in far-off cities, public education, and things unrelated to owning property.
Gas taxes should fund road maintenance for non-local roads, Highway Patrol, and road safety; they should not fund general government.
pots of cash are magnets to corrupt maggots in gov’t.
….and everywhere else, unfortunately. That’s why pension funds are so frequently raided by crooks.
I do admit to giving into temptation myself. when i was a child, mom bought bags of candy bars for trick or treat weeks before Halloween. She kept them in a shopping bag in the dining room.
I loved milky ways and she bought a whole bag of them! I carefully sliced a bag open, took a few out, and taped the bag shut (taped side down so she wouldn’t notice.) the chocolate, the caramel…ohhh they were good!
so I did it again.
it gets worse…
I carefully ripped as small a tear into the bite sized bars as I could to extract the candy, then attempted to blow air into the wrapper and tape that back up. And i put the empty wrappers back in the bag.
I did this slowly–a few bars every other day till i ate all the candy in one bag. Of course I got sick along the way…lol
but the look on mom’s face when she grabbed the bags from the shopping bag in the dining room and her hand crushed the empty bag. OMG…I started laughing and then I started running…
so I know temptation!
Cracking me up Pat.
Kids are mischievous.
….and clever!
I was a handful.

It was better when I could like comments.
Same here.

there you would be wrong…lol
I pay cash for everything I want but if I do use my card, it’s paid off when the bill comes.
I am extremely honest and forthright when it comes to money…and love.
Okay then. I’ll put you back on the cute-girls-on-the-side list. 😉
LMAO!!!
^^^ Cooth, NAILS IT. ^^^
Agree to disagree. There are other ways to fund government than constantly picking we the people’s pockets. I think Gail has exposed numerous times how some people pay well over 50% of their income in various taxes, making them “free range slaves”, her term, I believe.
The 50% is just the HIDDEN TAXES. That is the tax on the money you are allowed to ‘keep’ after Federal, State & Local taxes are removed. (~60%)
151 Taxes in a Loaf of Bread
The quote is from a very enjoyable and helpful interview in general with Reagan that I just came across (from 1975). I would recommend reading the whole thing.
Here’s the quote I’m referring to:
BQQM!
inheritance tax is a rip off
Try to match it to an associated benefit, and it tells the tale. It’s outright wealth confiscation because the wealth’s defender is now deceased.

Taxes have been paid on that money likely multiple times already 🙁
They should be opposed at the conceptual level.
Arguing how the stolen proceeds ought to be spent is acceptance of the concept.
The argument then shifts to trying to figure out something which has never been done before, ensuring government isn’t corrupt and/or doesn’t waste or misappropriate public funds.
The best way to prevent inherently corrupt government from committing massive fraud and abuse is to starve them of cash.
Great idea!

Nick Sortor:
Three more screenshots of the filing at the link.
The charges against Sortor have been dropped [according to FoxNews]. Whether that had anything to do with this discovery request, I don’t know.
I’d guess Sortor was going to go after Portland PD anyway. Rightfully so in my mind.
Portland government, including PD are actively part of the problem.
IIRC, he started it by grabbing the flagpole from a guy that was burning the flag on it.
He proceeded to step on the burning flag to put out the flames.
The antifa guy tried to get his flagpole back, thus causing a struggle.
PPD had a duty to arrest the initiating party.
Basic police policy in simple assault situations such as a fist fight is to arrest whoever started it.
That may be the case, who initiated the problem. Common thought, then it expands out, in some, many…cases.
If so, odd, they released Sortor. No charges as I understand it.
Your nickel on that. I don’t care enough about it.

I appreciate your correction and clarification.
You’re welcome! I think I even saw an article where Marjorie Taylor Greene was conflating the two events.
Seems like the initiating party was the flag burners, going by DJT’s executive order:
Brave Browser A.I.:
………………………..
On August 25, 2025, President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing the Department of Justice, under Attorney General Pam Bondi, to prioritize the prosecution of individuals who burn or desecrate the American flag, instructing federal prosecutors to pursue charges under existing laws such as those related to public order, property crimes, or civil rights violations.
While Trump stated at the signing that “if you burn a flag, you get one year in jail,” the order itself does not create new criminal penalties but seeks to enforce existing statutes to the fullest extent permissible under the Constitution, particularly targeting acts that may incite violence or constitute “fighting words”.
This action directly challenges the 1989 Supreme Court ruling in Texas v. Johnson, which held 5-4 that flag burning is protected symbolic speech under the First Amendment, a precedent reaffirmed in United States v. Eichman (1990). The order also directs immigration authorities to revoke visas, deny naturalization, and pursue deportation for non-citizens who engage in flag desecration.
Legal experts and civil liberties groups, including FIRE, have criticized the order as an unconstitutional overreach, asserting that political protest through flag burning remains protected speech regardless of public offense. One notable case arose when an Army veteran burned a flag in Lafayette Park hours after the order was signed and was subsequently charged, pleading not guilty to federal charges in September 2025.
………………………..
The US Constitution says something about states having to guarantee freedom from domestic violence or something like that, right?

In El Salvador, the right to bear arms is not constitutionally protected as a fundamental individual right; instead, firearm ownership is permitted only under strict government regulation and licensing.
While private citizens can legally own firearms for self-defense, hunting, or sport shooting, the process requires meeting stringent criteria, including background checks, psychological evaluations, and training courses, with licenses needing periodic renewal.
The government maintains tight control over firearm possession, and the use of firearms, even in self-defense, carries significant legal risks, including potential imprisonment.
………………………….
This means that El Salvador is dependent on the benevolent dictator model.
This may work well, for so long as Bukele remains in power (so long as power doesn’t go to his head and/or he uses sound judgment).
The moment he’s gone (or goes mad), you end up with Evil Dictator problem.
The Right to keep and bear arms is
anaoneTHE primary check against evil dictators..
The problem is bad people, or at least, people who don’t want to assimilate to the dominant culture.
The solution is not restricting rights, the solution is having the courage to spit in the face of political-correctness (which is just psychological warfare by the bad people to prevent you from confronting them), identify the bad people, and remove them from your culture and society.
A homogeneous culture, Monoculture, is what works. It’s obvious. Everyone understands this if they think about it for more than two seconds.
Multicultural is just another word for constant cultural division in a contest for dominance which continues until your culture loses and is assimilated or eradicated.
In other words, multicultural always ends up Starfleet vs. Borg.
There can be only one.
Us or them.
I vote us.
I think there are aspects that Legit American culture is multi-cultural, but not without assimilation. We have major regional cultures in America apart from ethnic &/or racial differences. Bad example but it comes to the top of my mind CSI Miami vs CSI NY are completely different vibes & they depend on the cultures in their respective cities.
In our family how we live in our homes in Metro Detroit verses how with live in my dad’s Cottage in Gaylord versus how we live in the Hunting cabins are in a sense 3 distinct cultures within the family. We are still who we are but enjoy indulging those different “cultural” lifestyles in our different family property locations. How Hubby lived in his Lake Superior backpacking excursions was even distinctly different rom how he functioned in camping or scouting or his frat-boy days, these are/were personal “cultural” differences.
Being described as a melting pot implies that we all turn to mush & become one homogenous thing, but I think America was always more of a stew, a rich & vibrant one to be sure well seasoned & even unique & identifiable with regional flavors, even like the differences in Jazz between New Orleans, Memphis, Detroit, & Saint Louis. That Bocephus song expresses some of those cultural differences that are uniquely American, imo.
Here’s a great comment, I’m not into country music either but this song is fire!

There is something obvious in all of these photos, which is the same as you will see in film from the era, and movies.
Something homogeneous.
No matter what part of the country people were in.
America doesn’t look anything like this today.
And that’s not an organic development, it is the result of a war declared on America by the insane Left.
there is strength in sameness. if you want to weaken something, you inject DIVERSITY.

IMPORTANT CONCEPT!!!
It is called the Strategy of Tension. A favorite of the British Empire. WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEING THIS HAPPENING NOW.
Strategy of tension – Wikispooks
Strategy of Tension: The System’s Dirty Trick (Interesting that the article has been removed and I have to use the archived version)
This is important information that needs to be spread, IMO. They use the terms multiculturalism and diversity is our strength, and even DEI, but they are really imposing the strategy of tension on us.
At some point, all the knowledge of everything the enemy is doing to us has to be turned into action.
It’s a worse psychologically defeating psy-op learning every day how we’re doomed and hopeless because all these half-wits have been allowed to play these games, than if we just kicked them in nuts all day long for the next ten years.
Allow me to point out one thing about our ‘inalienable’ right of self-defense via firearms – it is nowhere near as unlimited as we like to proclaim. We can start with automatic firearms today all the way to the big bore artillery of yesteryear, none of which can be legally owned.
Your cognitive dissonance regarding this point is excused. Any effort to ban the first historically recorded murder weapon is also excused.
Hmmm… I don’t know much about big bore artillery of yesteryear, but remembered that us citizens can own cannons.
https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/americans-can-still-buy-cannon/
Thanks for pulling the string on this one. Have read several times, we can own cannons.
You’re welcome, Kal! In the little town where I used to live, they removed a nice brick home and replaced it with a diagonal line of cannons and a historical marker. Their tourist interest is a civil war battle and museum. I thought the direction they are pointing was a nice statement too.
“Allow me to point out one thing about our ‘inalienable’ right of self-defense via firearms – it is nowhere near as unlimited as we like to proclaim.”
_____________
I didn’t claim it was unlimited, and it doesn’t need to be.
Tens of millions of individual Americans armed with AR-15s and AK-47s is sufficient.
The U.S. military has around 1.32 million active duty, and they can’t be everywhere at once.
Tench Coxe said: “Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birth-right of an American…
…The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.”
.
George Mason settled the question of militia by asking and answering: “Who are the militia? They consist of the whole people, except a few public officers.”

You can bet your ^%$ that if everyone in El Salvador was armed, the government would have a whole different problem on their hands, then they do facing a very intentionally unarmed population.
It’s not clear if you understand the history of how El Salvador got to the place where they are at right now.
I realize it was overrun with criminal cartel gangs, which is why dictator-like (if not in actuality) control was necessary to rescue the country.
Much better to never let the country become so corrupt in the first place, because once a dictator takes power, even a benevolent one, it is very rare they they give up power.
Your original post said “The US Constitution says something about states having to guarantee freedom from domestic violence or something like that, right?”, and included a tweet by Liz Churchill which said “God bless El Salvador and President Bukele for putting his Citizens first.
Liz Churchill put the following in quotes, although after watching the video, it’s not actually a quote, it’s a paraphrase: “They’re worried about the Human Rights of the Killers. What about the Human Rights of the women who don’t want to be raped? Or the kids who want to safely play in the park…?” ”
I am not concerned about the rights of the killers. In theory I want them to have a fair trial, I’m not discounting that they have rights, I’m just living in the real world where today criminals seem to have ALL of the rights, and the law abiding citizens, seemingly everywhere, have NO rights.
Criminals (at least those of the favored protected-classes) get revolving door leniency, while law abiding citizens are arrested and prosecuted for praying outside an abortion clinic, etc.
So I recognize the need for someone like Bukele to rescue El Salvador.
The problem is what comes next or after. Because until or unless the society of El Salvador is stabilized and the right of the People to keep and bear arms is restored (if they ever had it in the first place, or if it is to be recognized for the first time), the people of El Salvador have no control over their own destiny. They are subject to the luck of the Dictator draw, i.e., whether the next dictator will be benevolent or evil.
My point was in response to Liz Churchill, who seemed to suggest that Bukele was a model we should adopt, and that the rights of the People to keep and bear arms should be discounted in light of “women who don’t want to be raped? Or the kids who want to safely play in the park…? “
This is how it always plays out.
Women (not all women, of course – but the majority of women) will always trade liberty for security, because that’s how women are evolutionarily wired. The same reason why societies where women vote trend ever LEFTWARD until they reach full blown Communism, requiring a revolution to save the country, if they’re lucky.
That’s where most of Europe is right now, and we were almost right there with them.
This is why I posted the Benjamin Franklin quote.
Not because of the situation in El Salvador, but as it relates to America, because that was the context at least suggested by Liz Churchill, which seemed consistent with the context of the original reference to the U.S. Constitution, i.e., “The US Constitution says something about states having to guarantee freedom from domestic violence or something like that, right?”.
Human nature is what it is, and it is unchanging. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Ultimately, the best credible protection against that reality is the whole People being armed, which is the primary reason for the Second Amendment and its specific recognition in the Bill of Rights, by our Founding Fathers.
Then pgroup, apparently misunderstanding where I was coming from, said “Allow me to point out one thing about our ‘inalienable’ right of self-defense via firearms – it is nowhere near as unlimited as we like to proclaim. We can start with automatic firearms today all the way to the big bore artillery of yesteryear, none of which can be legally owned.
Your cognitive dissonance regarding this point is excused. Any effort to ban the first historically recorded murder weapon is also excused.”
So I posted the pro-Second Amendment quotes by our Founding Fathers and others.
Then to affirm the pro-Second Amendment position, I posted “You can bet your ^%$ that if everyone in El Salvador was armed, the government would have a whole different problem on their hands, then they do facing a very intentionally unarmed population.”
This is a true statement. Governments must treat their citizens differently when the government knows the People have a credible and deadly power to resist governmental abuse of power.
It is as true of our country as it is of El Salvador.
I understand that El Salvador had devolved into a narco terror state, and a “strong man” (i.e., dictator type) was necessary to save the country.
Once the country is stabilized, hopefully a Constitutional Republic will emerge, and the rights of the Salvadoran People will be restored.
Including the right to keep and bear arms.
Unless God only gave that right to Americans.
Okay, so you do understand how this came about. Good.
I believe that the most important part of the history of the El Salvador turnaround has been explained by President Bukele in a number of interviews… their absolute dependence on God through prayer. The situation they were facing was completely impossible without divine intervention.
I appreciate President Bukele’s clarity that prioritizing violent criminals over innocent children, women, families is nonsensical.
I did not know about their gun laws. I hope and pray that El Salvador looks to the godly theories of government developed by America’s founding fathers and documented in the US Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Thank you for pointing that out.
Article IV, Section 4
“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.”
It says the federal government has to protect the states from invasion. It also says the federal government has to protect the states from domestic violence when applied to by the states.
I suspect “invasion” is narrowly defined as foreign troops and the like. It looks to me as if a state has to ask for help when undergoing domestic violence, and the blue states aren’t going to do that. They want the violence.
But ‘the violence’ is NOT a republican form of government.
Are you saying that, regardless of whether blue states want help to quell domestic violence, the federal government has a duty to do so because it’s not a part of our form of government? If so, I agree.

I’m really loving this new word from Jack’d:
“Pre-genocidal.”
My definition of that is it’s when you have generated all of the propaganda and hate necessary to begin a genocide, but you have not kicked it off just yet.
That’s where America’s Democrats are at in 2025: the “pre-genocidal stage.”
Fortunately the pre-genocidal D-rats are mostly a mob of unskilled, inexperienced clowns who are led and guided by radical fymynyst girl bosses.
The weakest link in the girl-boss belief system is megalomania.
A lifetime of Leftist pop-culture BS has convinced them that they are stronger than men, smarter than men, and more capable then men.
This despite their inability to point to even a single great achievement or accomplishment.
From the cars they ride in, to the planes they fly in, to the house they live in, to the water and electricity coming into their home, and the continual maintenance of all of it and a million other things besides, the fymynysts didn’t conceive of or invent or build ANY of it.
That’s who we’re up against.
So as long as we remember we’re up against megalomaniacal clowns, there’s nothing to worry about.
We’re not up against Godzilla, or even Lex Luthor.
All we have to do is show up and we win.
“…Fortunately the pre-genocidal D-rats are mostly a mob of unskilled, inexperienced clowns who are led and guided by radical fymynyst girl bosses…”
I sure hope you are correct and NOT General Flynn, Colonel Towner and the others who have investigated Operation Gladio WITHIN the USA.

Yes, where are they?
Let’s see ’em.
Isn’t that who DHS and similar have been focusing on deporting?
Let the CIA unleash a team of terrorists inside the USA. Give DJT a reason to arrest the entire agency and waterboard them into oblivion.
The CIA is a rogue, renegade, foreign-controlled entity.
And if it’s not, then they certainly WANT everyone to think they are, and that’s certainly NOT their “mission”.
WE ARE NOT HELPLESS.
We can’t just live in fear of everything, that’s the whole reason for all the psy-ops.
We’re better off underestimating the enemy and actually confronting him to find out, than we are thinking he’s the Jolly Green Giant and cowering in fear in our basement, only to find out after we’ve lost that he’s actually the midget from Fantasy Island.
I can’t do ‘fear’ 24/7. Or even 1/7.
I’m just not made that way.
Scott,
The first step in solving a problem is to ID it CORRECTLY. And then make sure others know what the real problem is.
That is my contribution. (I can not aim worth crap and thus have no fire arms.)
I’m sorry Gail, I didn’t mean to come across as snapping at you, I’m just frustrated that we know what the problems are, we know who the bad guys are, but somehow the people we elect don’t know either one.
And no matter who we elect to represent us, even in the BEST case scenario (i.e., Trump), we still get people who are afraid of their own shadow, or who don’t know what they’re doing, who let the lawless keep right on breaking the law.
It has been this way my whole life.
The bad guys always win.
The good guys never win.
How is the next generation of young people going to want to do right, when doing right is only punished, and wrong is rewarded.
Wonderful report, TB–TYSVM!
We see road construction issues on Michigan’s Lower Peninsula section of I-75 on an annual basis. It is part of the majorly frustrating aspect of our Travels that happen mostly Late Spring to Late Fall. It seems that road construction is done in such a way that it must mean tearing up the same sections of roads every few years. Virtually Every travel holiday there are efforts to minimize the road construction delays, by not having workers present at peak travel times & sometimes opening up shoulders in construction areas to ease traffic flows. That roads exist in Germany, iirc, that were constructed by the Romans, makes me think that it is Clearly Possible to have much better constructed roads that last more than a few years even with a climate as harsh as Michigan’s…sigh!
I don’t know if this is primarily a Michigan thing, for I haven’t traveled out of state much for a number of years. It is a tedious part of travelling in Michigan in the 3+ decades we’ve been doing so since having returned (for me) or moving to the state (for Hubby) in our early marriage in the early 90’s.
Hubby’s Trucking job of 3 years or so has him traveling various routes between our home in Metro Detroit to his business’s base near Brighton, MI that is near where US 23 & I-96 meet in that heavily travelled corridor. Most of his work routes are regional, into Metro Detroit. Thankfully for Hubby his work commute is Way Outside of typical rush hour traffic which is roughly 6am-9:30am in the morning & 3pm-6:30pm in the evening. When you add in construction zones while driving for a living & sometimes being sent on co-worker’s routes, like yesterday when he had to do an Ohio based route, Hubby ends up using GPS guidance to reroute a lot as it factors in congestion & construction to some degree.
I have noticed less evidence of massive vehicle fires, presumably from electric cars, since I think they were usually just allowed to burn themselves out & the scorch marks could linger very visibly for months. Hubby hasn’t noticed this phenomenon much though.
Another thing that has changed in the last few years is the overwhelming evidence of lingering Canadian wildfires. A few years back the fires were so prevalent that virtually the Entire trip North along I-75 was heavily impacted with smoke to the place that visibility most of the way North was heavily obscured, like in an extremely heavy fog. Most of the time I could barely see beyond the shoulders of the road to the side or more than 10-20 yards in front of me. If I could follow another vehicle their tail lights would just Slightly extend my visible range, but altogether that was an intensely stressful, scary drive.
On the return trip that year there was even some uncontrolled wildfire that had us re-routed off of I-75 South in the Grayling area, even driving past the National Guard Base there as a fire blazed out of control in Northern Michigan.
In the following years the wildfire evidence, I believe from out of Canada but possibly from the American West, was mostly an orange haze mostly visible as an overlay on the Moon. In the really bad year we could smell the smoke, even when we were at The Cottage & our visibility across the lake wasn’t much impeded.
As far as food prices go we have not seen much lowering around here. Witchmer, the tyrant of Michigan playing at being governor (I’m pretty sure she was some type of Soros plant as a DA or something previously) has forced “cage free” eggs on the entire state so that put the price of eggs up for Everyone when before that had just been one of several choices in the egg department. Hubby continues to lament food prices & keeps asking where the evidence of Trump’s economic impact is. We have perhaps the highest income in our marriage now but still exist hand to mouth barely making ends meet…sigh…
We’ve seen a modest lowering of gas prices in our city, in particular by this one gas station across the street from the public library. Their prices are typically 25-30 cents a gallon cheaper than competitors even just a couple blocks away. They have gone to 24 hour service & any time I’ve driven by that station it is quite busy. It used to be a BP but now it doesn’t have Any Brand listed on its signage. On receipts it lists some “Habeeb’s” name only not a brand or franchise affiliation, something I’ve never seen before. Several people who don’t live here have commented on that great gas price so if they visit us usually hit that particular station, or a couple of others that my dad has notice to get a cheaper fill up, so word of mouth is drawing in business it seems.
My daughter mentioned a local city beautification program that’s currently underway. Apparently a number of businesses in our “downtown” area have had artistic murals drawn/painted on the sides of buildings. According to Clarissa there are about a dozen such murals that she’s observed, most of which she likes. I’ll make a point of looking for them specifically next time I’m out for I wasn’t aware of that update locally.
Most gas stations in the area seem to be run by Arabs/Muslims & it is surprising how frequently the brand signage changes as the years go by. Arabs have a strong foothold in the region, like in Dearbornistan which isn’t far from my community. They have been in the gas station business around here for the 2 1/2+ decades I’ve been back in Metro Detroit. I’ll have to ask my husband if he notices whether it’s primarily Arabs/Muslims who run the gas stations he might frequent during his work days because his travels are much more extensive in the area than are mine.
We’ve also seen increasing evidence of Arabs/Muslims moving into our city, including as next door neighbors when our long time neighbors, the husband was lead guitarist in one of Hubby’s earliest Christian Rock Bands, sold their home a few years ago. Our Christian neighbor across the street has made a point of befriending these Muslims & is trying to subtly love them to Jesus, I believe. I see women in head scarves, & occasionally in the full head to toe coverings that only allow their eyes to show, walking in the neighborhood now. I’d seen such Muslim evidence for years in the stores but not in “our own backyard” until the last few years. I’d say that Islam is expanding its foothold, at least population wise, in Metro Detroit because the areas that were Muslim enclaves before, like East Dearborn, still seem to be majority, or at least heavily, Muslim but now there are many more Muslims in West Dearborn & Dearborn Heights than had been the case to my recollection.
A few years back we were contemplating moving & had been researching real estate about a half hour South in Monroe, MI. At that time there didn’t appear to be much Muslim or Arab influx in that community nor were the racial demographics, that we could observe, more tumultuous. The aesthetics of some of the target neighborhoods we drove through were quite appealing to us as we fantasized about getting further away from Metro Detroit. Alas such a move never materialized & now that all our grandkids live within a couple of blocks of us moving is out of the question!
Islam has “conquered” Christian territory a number of times locally, & I believe this is a deliberate process that they go through. The church where I lead my eldest son to Christ, in North Dearborn Heights, is now an “Islamic House of Wisdom”. A church a few blocks from our kids’ former Christian School (that school only still operates a pre-school after more than half a century of Christian educational outreach in the area, possibly due to bad budget management &/or changing demographics–our daughter was in the second to last 8th grade class to graduate) is now some type of a Muslim facility. They clog up all the neighborhood streets on Fridays for their religious services. My old junior high, across the street from our long time church that some family members still attend, was taken over by Muslim entities some years back. Our former pastor, a long time missionary in Muslim dominated Guinea in Africa, repeatedly begged that denomination to devote outreach resources to evangelize the local Muslim populations literally across the street from the church, sadly to no avail–he’s back in Africa now. Also a former Christian school in North Dearborn Heights has been taken over by Arabs/Muslims. I think it Might be a Charter School but signage on the building in Arabic makes me think that it isn’t just Culturally Arabic, but I don’t know that for a fact.
Well that’s about all that comes to mind right now. Hunting season is upon us, October 1 to December 31. Bow Hunting is on right now with Rifle being November 15-30 during The Rut. Bow season has been a joy to add to the family repertoire–Hubby brought the tradition to “our guys” when we moved up from Oklahoma in the early 90’s–since it allows people to be in the woods during Fall Colors AND extends hunting times. Hubby & Middle son were up to the Hunting Camp last weekend but unseasonably warm temps, into the 80s, made things quite uncomfortable for hunting but they tackled quite a few camp upgrades which will bear fruit on subsequent trips North. Next weekend Hubby has extended time off & our oldest son will be up hunting for the week. I’ll be supporting my daughter’s hunt by watching Lillian at the Cottage while Clarissa treks down to the Shack vicinity. My DIL with our oldest & youngest GD’s will also be at the Cottage but DIL is not planning to attempt a hunt yet, she hasn’t since having kids. Hopefully all of us will enjoy some of the colors during our travels for they haven’t kicked off much downstate yet.
We’ll be heading to Ann Arbor later today for Josiah’s Pediatric Cardiology appointment, so there might be a little info to report from those travels. If so I’ll add it in as a reply to This comment unless it’s more momentous & becomes a stand-alone update. Blessings!
Good report! Situational awareness is good!

Great report, Val. Thanks for bringing and the info! Prayers for good report with Josiah’s appointment.

Dang!
Reading that pile of words reminds me of the time I ate a dozen jelly donuts.
My hubby accuses me of being a “firehose” of information. I bolded most paragraph topics to help people skim to what (if anything) they might find of interest. Sorry for wearing you out. I’ll probably never really acquire Kalbo-like bullet point skillz!
Hubby got a great chuckle out of your Jelly Donuts viewpoint 😅
Nice round up! I do believe most state transportation / highway departments try to work around rush hours and accommodate holiday travelers.
Sorry to read MooSlimes infesting your area. Thankfully, rarely see MooSlimes around my area.
Locally food prices have held or dropped. Utilities static, which is a win in my book. Fuel which I thought was going down, is clearly up.
Wow I thought fuel in TX would surely be lower. Our utilities have fluctuated a bit. Thankfully one of them (we’re on payment plans for both gas & electric) did the annual reassessment & this time it dropped pretty decently, so we’ve got lower payments in That one area at least, for the next 11 months!
I believe, TX fuel prices overall are lower. NE TX, Texarkana area, not so much. WAG is distribution routes a factor. Truly dunno, but higher.
Interesting. On your cross country travels you’ll likely get a pretty good feel for the differences in regional fuel costs which could be an interesting point to share back with The Tree when you get back home. Happy Trails!
From Bud to bridges and more, GREAT post.
Impressed Bud could have meals of his choice, within hours of, what I’d call major surgery. But then, in my experience, anything more than a few stitches, is a BFD. Now, if Bud can restrain himself, from heavy lifting for three months.
Dollywood in a few weeks. Have been wanting to visit Dollywood for many years. Little to no interest in rides or waterpark and the like. But, understand plenty of good quality stuff for geezers like me. Shows, food, sites…
No idea what Dollywood prices were pre Helene. But they are absolutely NUTS these days, from my thrifty point of view.
Arriving I-40 from the west, other than passing through big cities, “normal” road construction / maintenance, I expect the similar driving conditions, of a couple dozen transits over the years.
Heading further east, next stop will be Shelby NC / King’s Mountain, SC. The TN/NC border area was always special. In a good way. Will factor is extra road time. Prolly marvel a bit at the road building effort. I guess that’s an odd thought.
May visit Chimney Peak. We were fortunate to visit Chimney Peak, the year before Helene. Beautiful area. Great folks. Need to check into conditions there, as they rebuild. I do not want to be part of the problem.
More blathering here than intended, from my opening line. Thanks for the ground report.
If you’re used to California roads, the I-40 roads and rest-stops over the border between TN and NC were a wonder. It’s like they were running a competition to be the nicest. I hope they get repaired and rebuilt soonest.
hope you have smooth sails and happy trails!
Thanks. Confident it will be memorable, in a good way.
I’ve never been to Dollywood, but I’m curious — in the park, is there a booth to contribute to Dolly’s good works? Her charity for youth literacy seems very worthwhile.
Thanks, friend. You should find things a go on I-40 unless it is just too backed up at the border. If so, you may want to go the scenic route at the Newport, TN exit up to Hot Springs and Marshall, NC on your way to the Asheville area and Kings Mtn.
Will post you the status after this weekend.
Dollywood adds something every year and is now rated the #1 theme park for visitor experiences. That has been driving the price up. You will be coming for one of the better periods with the music and crafts.
Bud’s dad said he was ready to eat something the minute they rolled him into the room. 😀 . During my dad’s day they made him eat jello and stuff for a few days afterward, so that has changed since then.
Thanks for the alternate route. Will keep that option open, on the road trip.
Welcome to NC!!!
Right now the weather is beautiful.
Your “blathering” was much more restrained than mine 😉
TT posted this one last evening. It needs to be viral.
BREAKING: Polk County Florida Sheriff Grady Judd goes BERSERK on Chicago PD for abandoning federal agents after a terror attack this weekend.
“Let me say this, for other law enforcement leaders across this state and nation: you need to be standing UP saying the SAME EXACT THING that I am. Because when you have a breakdown of the rule of law, when you allow anarchist criminals to take over the streets and attack law enforcement officers and then not send them help? That’s a slippery slope, a REAL slippery slope.”
“Let me give you the antithesis of this. We had a single man resist ICE agents and get away from them in our community. We sent a helicopter, a drone, canine, and 50 law enforcement officers to surround an area and we found that guy who violently resisted ICE and we locked him up in jail where he should have been.”
“I have NEVER heard of one law enforcement agency not helping another when they call for help until this weekend, when a chief of patrol for the Chicago Police Department instructed the police officers not to run in and help their colleagues who were calling for help, who were under attack by a bunch of people clearly violating the law!”
“If you allow anarchists and criminals to run wild in your community, people will die. People will be shot.”
he’s not wrong!
Chief Judd was not “berserk”, he was firm, direct, correct (as PatFrederick states below), and controlled in his statement.
Thanks, TradeBait2!!! It’s great that your part of the country is trending towards normality again. All of us can feel real hope!
Thanks, friend. It does feel good. it needs to happen all over the country.
Amen!
“…..and the stuff that you tak with y’r water….”
Off the wall comment.
Don’t think I’ll ever get used to guys with earrings. Nor anyone with face metal, piercings.
Civilly tolerate waiter / waitress. Anyone trying to sell stuff, or in general, I move on. Guess I’m an intolerant sort.
I don’t want to get close to anyone with piercings in case I brush them the wrong way and tear a chunk out.
They may be ok at a distance.
Yeah, like a girl I knew who was jumping her horse. Her pierced earring got caught in the mane and ripped the earring out. What a bloody mess!
That hurts just hearing about it!
I remember working at Roy Rogers (only food place i ever worked at, so it’s all i know). The uniform was a wrap around skirt/ apron for girls and pants with an apron for guys–red shirts and hats. when i was hired, i was told stockings must always be worn and if you had tattoos (mainly for the guys–back then girls didn’t have them generally) then you had to wear a long sleeve shirt to cover them.
We were told, you’re representing the restaurant while you’re in uniform and freedom of expression is for AFTER work.
EXACTLY!!!
It is a MAJOR argument I have with my helpers. I want cowboy shirts, cowboy hats and jeans. Not tattered cut-offs and dirty Tees.
I provide the hats and shirts as needed and even have a limited selection of jeans too.
My customers (the kids) want REAL cowboys so that is what I try to provide. But BOY is it a fight!
your business, your rules.
some businesses allow casual clothes–others require suits.
Yes you are. But you’re our intolerant
slutsort.[sorry – misread it at first] 😂
It’s all in fun.
I remember the gay code for guys with one earing “left is right & right is wrong” but now I don’t know if being “right” is being gay or straight/normal 🙄
“…Thankfully, FL has joined us in the chemtrails/geoengineering ban. That is a big deal. Hopefully, other Atlantic/Gulf bordering states will follow suit soon….”
I wish I could say the same for North Carolina!
We had very heavy rains that were NOT NORMAL this summer.
For what it is worth, I was out feeding ponies during the beginning of one of those rains. The rain was heavy and got into my eye and BURNED! Really really BURNED! I had to go inside and rinse my eyes with saline solution to get the burning to stop.
I have been outside in the rain, sometimes heavy rain, hiking, backpacking, caving, climbing & horseback riding for seventy years. I do not remember EVER having rain burn my eyes.
Gail Combs
Correct.
The NC chemtrails are very heavy, they’re sprayed EVERY DAY (starting in the middle of the night, sometimes the “chemtrail planes” are so low that they wake Yours Truly up, then CONTINUING throughout the day.)
These chemtrails literally “dim the sunshine.”
These chemtrails cause the landscape to have a slight “yellowish” tinge that is NOT pollen-related.
These chemtrails cause the eyes to REALLY sting / burn / hurt.
These chemtrails cause the sinuses to REALLY hurt and also to cause BAD sinus headaches.
The “chemtrail planes” all originate from SE of where Yours Truly lives. This means they come from the RDU airport area.
Yours Truly NEVER had allergic conjunctivitis OR allergic rhinitis before moving to Durham.
Sorry you still deal with this, PAVACA. It is real and PDT and cabinet need to be made aware.
PAVACA is about 1 hour from where I am.
Just a crazy thought, but could you get a small vacuum cleaner with a small “new clean” bag in it and use it in various areas around your property, Then find a local lab that could analyze the contents for you? Possibly the chemistry department at the university.
I am so sorry to read this, Gail. People need to wake up. They want us to suffer and die. It is time to go on offense. NC is a battleground state just like Virginia and Georgia have been. Somehow we need to use science to prove what they are doing.
That’s extremely alarming!
EACH DAY WE TAKE UP THE OFFENSIVE WEAPON OF THE WORD OF GOD – THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT – ONE VERSE OPENS THE DOOR TO THE CONTEXT OF THE CHAPTER MESSAGE
Verse of the Day for Tuesday, October 7, 2025
✟
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Psalms 118:24 (KJV)
COMMENTARY FOR PSALMS 118
“It is good to trust in the Lord. (1-18) The coming of Christ in his kingdom.” (19-29)
19-29 Those who saw Christ’s day at so great a distance, saw cause to praise God for the prospect. The prophecy, ver. 22,23|, may refer to David’s preferment; but principally to Christ. 1. His humiliation; he is the Stone which the builders refused: they would go on in their building without him. This proved the ruin of those who thus made light of him. Rejecters of Christ are rejected of God. 2. His exaltation; he is the chief Cornerstone in the foundation. He is the chief Top-stone, in whom the building is completed, who must, in all things, have the preeminence. Christ’s name is Wonderful; and the redemption he wrought out is the most amazing of all God’s wondrous works. We will rejoice and be glad in the Lord’s day; not only that such a day is appointed, but in the occasion of it, Christ’s becoming the Head. Sabbath days ought to be rejoicing days, then they are to us as the days of heaven. Let this Saviour be my Saviour, my Ruler. Let my soul prosper and be in health, in that peace and righteousness which his government brings. Let me have victory over the lusts that war against my soul; and let Divine grace subdue my heart. The duty which the Lord has made, brings light with it, true light. The duty this privilege calls for, is here set forth; the sacrifices we are to offer to God in gratitude for redeeming love, are ourselves; not to be slain upon the altar, but living sacrifices, to be bound to the altar; spiritual sacrifices of prayer and praise, in which our hearts must be engaged. The psalmist praises God, and calls upon all about him to give thanks to God for the glad tidings of great joy to all people, that there is a Redeemer, even Christ the Lord. In him the covenant of grace is made sure and everlasting.
Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710.

What Does the Bible Say About Ghosts? | Verse of the Day

Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered !!!
WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.
PLEASE PRAY FOR ABUSED, MISSING, AND TRAFFICKED CHILDREN
BE MY VOICE
JESUS LOVES THE LITTLE CHILDREN
CHILD NOT CHOICE
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER

PRAISE THE LORD
Praise the Lord – Who guides our way;
Through His Spirit – to brighten our day;
Touching our hearts – gently and deep;
His Honor and Glory – we value to keep!
Our Father – Who loves us unconditionally;
Is right beside us where we need Him to be;
With Gifts of Grace – to bless us all day;
His Spirit abides – to guide our way!
Praise the Lord – what better advisor;
Could we ever hope – would make us wiser;
When we are perplexed about what to do;
God has a message just for me and you!
Through His Spirit – God speaks to us;
He works out the particulars without the fuss;
He guides us through life’s ups and downs;
Through our successes – and turnarounds!
Praise the Lord – in good times and bad;
Throughout his correction – don’t be sad;
Know that God loves us no matter what;
Through our if/then – and even our but!
God knows what we need before we do;
Cause He sees in the heart of me and you;
All He needs is acknowledgement thrust;
From outside to inside – In God we trust!
Our Faith needs replenishment almost daily;
We need to repent of our sins most ably;
No hiding behind our justification;
Cause God knows our heart identification!
Whenever you are caught in a dilemma or two;
Just go to the Quiet – Let God speak to you;
For in the silence – of your own heart;
His secrets to you – He will gladly impart!
Praise the Lord – for His intuit inspection;
His enduring love – His careful correction;
Whenever we doubt – whatever the case;
It is all about Virtue – His Gift of Grace!

SPEAK LIFE AND BLESSING
When we face challenges out of the blue
Our first instinct might be what went askew
We wonder what it was that caused the rift
Not recognizing what hit was a gift
We tend to take what occurs personally
Like some sort of punishment deservedly
When really it was nothing of the sort
Nor to the extent of fault to report
We have free will to make our choices
And that includes how we use our voices
We can rant and rave and complain why me
Or we can speak life and blessing to be
We are all prone to the seven deadly
We can speak out a tirade in medley
We can side with that demonic attack
Give negative thoughts credence right back
The effect of the weight we have laid down
Will surely defeat us cause us to drown
In a sea of self-pity barely function
Until we reach a decision junction
The difference between blessing and curse
Is the curse tends to make our plight much worse
It augments into a vicious cycle
We are less fruitful not at all vital
Speak life and blessing for each consequence
A positive outlook just makes more sense
It energizes God-given gifts in you
The Spirit inside comes alive when you do

I hope Durbin is in prison at some point. The man is a menace to society. He’s just plain evil.

Good morning, C&C, it’s Tuesday! Your author struggled mightily this morning with an update-gone-wrong, but heroically managed to cobble together a delicious post anyway. Your roundup today includes: CBS shakeup sees free-speech champion installed as chief editor while depressed Democrats stare in stunned shock at the sinking wreckage of corporate media dominance; newly disclosed documents reveal Biden spied on sitting U.S. senators; fallout begins; and Florida leads the way back to crosswalk sanity.

About chemtrails:
Yeah, still going on EVERY DAY here in Central NC. I posted a reply to a comment by our good Gail Combs about this downthread today.

has GA/FL posted lately?
Not since Sept. 29. She posted quite a bit in the week leading up to that last post.
thanks. hopefully she’s merely doing the sorting/cleaning she was talking about.
Big changes in life! I’m also wondering if she has posted on the other blogs.

FBI “re-classified” the documents! Can’t be legit.

I’ve never heard of reclassifying documents that have been declassified by the proper authority, like the POTUS(!). Heads need to roll.
Someone on the inside is trying to destroy whats left of tpusa. Why?
Charlie Kirk furiously criticized ‘bullying’ Jewish donors and said he was considering ‘leaving the pro-Israel cause’ before his death, Turning Point USA confirmed today in a bombshell revelation that stunned the conservative movement.
It comes after Candace Owens released a screenshot of Kirk fuming in a group chat that Jewish donors were pulling funding over his links to Tucker Carlson.
Turning Point spokesman Andrew Kolvet confirmed the authenticity of the screenshots on Tuesday during the latest episode of the ‘Charlie Kirk Show.’
In the text messages, Kirk privately complained that a Jewish donor had withdrawn a $2 million investment into the organization because he refused to disinvite Tucker Carlson from the upcoming AmericaFest event.
‘Just lost another huge Jewish donor,’ Kirk wrote. ‘$2 million a year because we won’t cancel Tucker. I’m thinking of inviting Candace.’
‘Jewish donors play into all the stereotypes. I cannot and will not be bullied like this.’
Kirk concludes, ‘Leaving me no choice but to leave the pro Israel cause.’
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15171321/Charlie-Kirk-bullying-Jewish-Israel-donors.html
So Charlie Kirk didn’t like being bullied by donors telling him with whom he could associate. Therefore, he took the action he thought appropriate. All quite normal.
I believe that conspiracy people will use such reports as “evidence” that Israel was behind Kirk’s assassination. That’s all some of them are concerned about. I’m not sure whether Candace is in that category, but my impression is that she is.
i agree. take this at face value. he saw reason to give into bullies. period.
Yes and yes. So why publish this unless you are intent on destroying his reputation after hes dead.
Asked and answer, second sentence.
That very well might be the reason. Some will run over anyone to get fame and money. Some are so keen to “prove” their conspiracy correct that they present non-evidence to keep people hanging on. Some hate Israel so much that they will twist anything to intimate that Israel is behind something when there is no proof. And they are careful, not stating it directly, knowing that their audience will take it in the way it’s intended.
Reminds me a bit of the in-fighting at project veritas when they ousted James O’Keefe.
Had the same thing happen in a caving club I started. It got big and then it got taken over.
…
Do not forget we are now entering a critical time period. esp with the up coming elections and the DemonRats/Brits trying to start a color revolution.
Marly Hornick’s recent ouster from United Sovereign Americans has the same vibe. The “board of directors” decided she wasn’t “going in the same direction” as they were. But who poured their entire life FOR FREE for 3 years for U.S.A.? Not the directors.
I suspect they got cash flush and didn’t want to use it for the law suits for holding states accountable for all the voter roll manipulation that USA had completely documented. I don’t know the back story, but it sure looks like the same playbook.
G Edward Griffin, I think it was, mentioned the banksters use $$$ to takeover the US cultural centers like the boy scouts, girl scouts, churches…
Think commie HAAAAaaaavard Business school grads becoming CEOs, directors…
Yup. The “indoctrinated” make great pawns on boards – the “boardflies” as I call them.
Boards are a takeover scam.
When I looked into it many years ago, I found a BANKSTER Rep on most boards. That was when the Leveraged buyouts hollowed out American businesses and transferred the built up wealth to the financiers.
Candace as a source?
Guess some folks are trying to make some money. Click. Click. Click.
I generally agree. I don’t seek her out, but I see things people sometimes post elsewhere. She posted a screenshot of Charlie Kirk’s texts telling someone he was upset with restrictions Jewish donors were trying to place on him.
Could the texts be faked? Maybe, but even if they’re real, all it means is that Kirk was distancing himself from those donors who were trying to control him.
The bigger picture likely includes a component to influence Christians to disavow Jews, demonize Netanyahu and sympathize with muslims..
I’ll skip the drama. As far as TPUSA goes, Erika has my vote.
Charlie can’t defend himself or refute whatever may be BS.
Someone enjoys doing this somewhere.
These lines at the end of the DM story are significant.
Here are some thoughts
I personally think there WAS a conspiracy to kill Charlie and sell it as a “trans love story” – and Matt Walsh has a pretty good description of that theory.
Ill have to see walsh’s theory. Otherwise i tend to agree.
He may still be on the receiving end of the deal.
YIKES!!!
From OT:
FBI Reveals Evidence That Jack Smith Used “Arctic Frost” to Spy on Congress
October 6, 2025
SD: “This is a much bigger scandal than the media can wrap their arms around, and it is a little frustrating.
As we have repeatedly outlined, FBI spying operations in 2015/2016 shifted into FBI operation “Crossfire Hurricane,” that shifted into FBI operations with Robert Mueller, that shifted into FBI operations with impeachment, that shifted into FBI operations with J6 targeting aka “Arctic Frost,” that shifted into FBI operations with Jack Smith. It is all part of one long continuum.
Now the FBI is releasing information that Arctic Frost also resulted in the surveillance of members of Congress. The phone records of several members of Congress were part of the Arctic Frost operation.
[SOURCE]
FOX NEWS – Former Special Counsel Jack Smith was allegedly tracking the private communications and phone calls of nearly a dozen Republican Senators as part of his investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots, Fox News Digital has learned.
A document, reviewed by Fox News Digital, revealed that Smith and his “Arctic Frost” team investigating Jan. 6 were allegedly tracking the phone calls of GOP Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Josh Hawley of Missouri, Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, Bill Hagerty of Tennessee, Dan Sullivan of Alaska, Tommy Tuberville of Alabama and GOP Rep. Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania.
The document, recently discovered by FBI Director Kash Patel and exclusively obtained by Fox News Digital, is titled “CAST Assistance” and dated Sept. 27, 2023. “CAST” refers to the FBI’s cellular analysis survey team.
The document, which has the names of FBI agents involved redacted, marks the case ID as “ARCTIC FROST—Election Law Matters—SENSITIVE INVESTIGATIVE MATTER—CAST.” (read more)
It is somewhat frustrating that it is taking this much time for the FBI to locate the evidence of the weaponization we all know exists.
FBI operation Arctic Frost was targeting anyone who was supportive of President Trump, and the concerns around the stolen 2020 election outcome. This was the objective of the massive surveillance effort that included warrants against the electronic records of Congress and private citizens.
The results of this massive data collection were then sent to the J6 Committee for exploitation and targeting. The J6 committee deleted much of the information. Jack Smith then took over.
More soon…”
From OT, follow up on previous ‘Arctic Frost’ article:
Senator Josh Hawley Demands to Know Who Ordered the Code Red
October 7, 2025
SD: “At today’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), a man who was also targeted by the FBI Arctic Frost surveillance operation, demanded answers from Attorney General Pam Bondi.” WATCH:
.
He also said that Trump has the steadiest favorability rating, “this much through a presidency,” of any president on record.
“Let’s be careful about what we write here they might be monitoring us. Delete everything.”
No kidding. Besides being partisan, these people are too emotionally unintelligent to hold the positions they have.
So who leaked that? 2 people on a text…
I read that earlier today someplace, 🤷🏽♂️.
48 hour rule applies, I’m thinking.
If you can’t find one person in your office willing to prosecute Comey, then they have done you a great favor.
They have just provided you with all the justification you could ever hope for, to FIRE THEM ALL.
Exactly.
fire her!
Because wymyn are a protected-class, and no one protects protected-classes like other members of protected-classes.
It’s not just gross insubordination, it’s obstruction of justice with premeditation to do as much harm as possible by hiding her intentions for as long as possible.
She shouldn’t just be fired, she should be PROSECUTED, disbarred, and put in PRISON.
But who’s going to prosecute the Sacred protected-class Barbie Doll?
Yup. There’s enough to charge her ass, IMO. Obstruction of justice, right there.
EVENING PRAYERS
Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen.

Evening Prayer For Future Guidance
Heavenly Father, as I lie down to sleep tonight, I pray that You would guard my sleeping and protect my mind from wandering thoughts and unnecessary planning. Teach me to wait for Your perfect timing and not to try to plan my future in my own strength.
Lord, I know that You have scheduled every day of my life. Help me to trust You in all things and rely on You to lead me along the straight path and guide me in the direction that You would have me to go.
Give me patience to wait for Your perfect timing, and may I not trust in my own abilities and scheming, but rather rest in Your love and trust my future into Your hands.
And so now Lord, I commit this night to you, asking that I would rest soundly and wake refreshed and strong to do Your bidding. This I ask in Jesus’ precious name,
Amen.

Prayer For Grace At The End Of The Day
Heavenly Father, as the day is drawing to its close I ask that Your continued love and presence be with me and with all that are Your children in Christ. Guard us through the long hours of darkness this night I pray, and keep us safe from all harm and dangers that may try to cross our threshold.
Give us, I pray, an untroubled night of rest and quietness of heart. May we be refreshed and renewed in body, soul and spirit as we rest our weary hearts in You through the hours of the night.
Lord, I pray that by Your great grace and mercy, You would grant us untroubled sleep so that we may rise up in the morning strong to do Your bidding. May we all rejoice for the dawn of a new day, knowing that Your mercies are new every morning. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

This is exactly what our society does not need to survive. An army ofNorman Bates in the making. Shame on these women.
Stay-at-home ‘hub-sons’ are the tradwives of 2025 — and their moms couldn’t be more thrilled
Luke Parkhurst is living the dream. And at nearly 34 years old, he’s doing it jobless and rent-free at his mother’s house — a sweet setup that mom, Patty, loves.
But the millennial’s spongy life on easy street doesn’t come as a totally free ride. Instead, it comes with the homemaking duties of a stay-at-home-wife. Rather than loafing about all day, eating bonbons and scrolling through social media while Patty, a flight attendant, works, Luke’s taking care of business around the abode.
“I’m a stay-at-home son,” Luke, from Las Vegas, proudly told The Post. “I do the grocery shopping, cook steak for dinner, clean the pool and fix things around the house.”
His is an unpaid, unproblematic position that’s rising in popularity among the Gen Z and Gen Y2K guys — called “trad-son” by some, or, “hub-son,” as Patty calls Luke.
It’s a cushy gig similar to that of traditional housewives, or “tradwives.” They’re the growing number of married gals, including famous folks like Hannah Neeleman of Ballerina Farm, who’ve controversially forgone the 9-to-5 daily grind to, instead, raise their families, handcraft home-cooked meals and keep immaculate abodes.
Trad-sons like Luke — a former door-to-door solar salesman, who ditched the $170,000 vocation and moved back into Patty’s place this summer — aren’t just leeching off of mommy and daddy sans responsibilities. They’re earning their keep, doing housework and running errands, in order to maintain their kept status.
It’s a Cinderella story in reverse.
“This has been my dream job since I was a little kid,” said, claiming that the role was his go-to response to those “When I Grow Up, I Want To Be…” homework assignments in elementary school. “My mom is at work right now, she covers everything, and I stay home.”
…
The psychologist and author, instead, believes the mooching off of mom and dad movement is an effect of our troubled society, plagued by social discord, a precarious job market, inflation and an ongoing housing crisis.
“There’s a lot of unrest in men in their 20s and 30s, today. There’s a lot of insecurity and instability. Most young people haven’t truly found themselves yet,” Smerling explained to The Post. “For some, it’s comforting to be at home. They feel safe and secure with their parents in a very conflictual world.”
https://nypost.com/2025/10/07/lifestyle/stay-at-home-gen-z-and-millennial-hub-sons-are-2025s-tradwives/
I know a solid Christian young man that is finding that being a support to his elderly grandmother and older parents is exactly what he needs at this time of his life.
Maybe temporarily if there are specific needs. Especially medical. These are all able bodied people..
Yeah and what happens when hub-son finds a girlfriend? She moves in too so mommy has a built in gal pal? What happens several years from now and mom ages out of her flight attendant job?
This hits close to home for me. My former son in law moved in with mommy and daddy ( you know, to get back on his feet and save $$)once my daughter had enough..he’s been there for prob 6/7 yrs now with a live-in, a new baby . Not a penny saved. Why should he, parents buy everything, no rent, no utilities. One big dysfunctional family and unfortunately showing my 13 yr old gs that it’s a great gig if you can make it happen. Now Dad, who can naturally afford to be disneyland dad since he has no bills makes my daughter seem like a stingy mom since she actually pays mortgage/bills and can’t buy dinner out every night and all the rest..
Helping aging parents is a kindness if it’s possible but this other business..IMO stunts maturity and responsibility
“Yeah and what happens when hub-son finds a girlfriend?”

There’s no danger of that happening 😂

Yeesh. You dtr has had it rough. I hope her boys appreciate her.
Yes, in this case he has experience working in a nursing home and the grandmother needs around the clock assistance including toileting care following a hospitalization.
And thats what home care aides that were paid from medicare or state home health accts should do. Iirc, here in CA there was a huge didruption for that to become nonpayment in some way.
Hope he’s independently wealthy.
Or living in some other dimension.
Because in this dimension, you need MONEY.
Lots of people like to downplay the necessity of money, especially Christians it seems, probably because they’ve been admonished a million times in church about the ‘love of money’ being the root of all evil.
Which often is misinterpreted as money itself being the root of all evil.
It’s easy to downplay the necessity of money when people have plenty of it.
It’s not so easy when they don’t.
“Trad-sons like Luke — a former door-to-door solar salesman, who ditched the $170,000 vocation and moved back into Patty’s place this summer —”
________________
That’s either a flat-out lie or this dude has something wrong in his head.
The truth is more likely to be that the ‘vocation‘ of selling solar door-to-door has a potential of $170K, just like the multi-level marketing execs explained it to him.
But the reality is only the top 5% make that, and everyone else starves.
I don’t believe this guy was actually making $170K a year, and quit, to live with his Mom.
Me either, 170K , door to door,…nah
That said, his dream of swiffering and baking is so unbelievably gay that I can see why he’s doing it. An apron today and false eyelashes, stilettos and a feather boa tomorrow
“That said, his dream of swiffering and baking is so unbelievably gay…”
_______________
Exactly.
And what well-adjusted boy doesn’t grow up hoping one day to become his Mom’s man-servant? 🙄😂
Same. Ponzi scheme after he bought the salesman kit probably.
“Trad-sons like Luke” Have a rude awaking down the road.
Andrew Adams Whyte is the classic example. He was a well known Sci Fi fan in the Boston area. He recieved money from a trust fund to take care of his Mom. When she died the $$$ evaporated and he was left a middle aged man with NO MARKETABLE SKILLS. He died at age 53.
The Job market is very picky. If you have not worked for over 6 months you are considered unemployable.
Yes, and what kind of desperation do people who have lost their jobs and put out applications and resumes w zero response do? So a lot of these guys must be retreatingbto the womb so to speak bc of no job or job but fear of failure.
Heavenly Father.
Deliver us from evil.

Update on Dolly. Things may be a bit testy, more so than her cousin told us. Her sister, Freda, just posted that her health concerns are more serious and asking for prayers. None of us know yet what that means and the siblings are not saying yet. We know she has kidney issues, but do not know more than that. Will keep folks posted if we learn anything.
She cant make it without her husband. Its a void sisters and friends cant fill for her. I hope she foes but she misses her best friend.
She had known she was going to lose him soon, but I think it hit harder than she expected when he did pass per the comments of family members.
We should not ignore that Dolly was jabbed and boosted. There are videos out there with her taking shots and promoting it. She required it of many employees at the park. Some were pressured to take them or lose their jobs, we know a few of those folks personally.
Oh i didnt know that on the covid stuff. Oh what a shame all around.
TradeBait2
Thank you.
Correct.
If Dolly is “vaccinated and boosted”, the mechanisms of the “vaccines” cannot be dismissed out of hand as being involved in her current situation.
Especially, IMO, since the issue is entangled with grief reactions from the loss of her husband. Grief, in and of itself, can depress the immune system. Combine that with the damage that the “vaccines” do to the immune system, and there can be a real problem.
Sadly, lots of folks, of all stature, education, life experience, wealth…drank the Covid / Jab Kool-Ade.
Same thing has been attributed to Toby Keith. His foundation (I think it was) ran a camp for kids with cancer. Height of Covid, Jabs required. Easy to see, Toby likely Jabbed, Boosted.
We know what happened to Toby. No idea how many kids had issues, that could be attributed to Jabs/Boosts.
As posted several times.
This and several other reasons, are why I’ll never walk away from the QTree.

Senator Kennedy predicts how the shutdown will end. Makes sense to me.
Senator John Kennedy Makes Prediction on What Will End the Schumer Shutdown (Video)
On Monday, during an appearance on Fox Business, Kennedy predicted that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer would ultimately be forced to “engineer an off-ramp” to end the ongoing government shutdown.
Kennedy told host Larry Kudlow, “I know him well. This shutdown is not about policy. It’s about politics.”
“And Senator Schumer, this is what’s going on. He is trying to get the loon wing, the socialist wing of the Democratic Party, which is in control, to love him. And they will never love him.“”
“They won’t. He’d be better off doing what he did back in March and just calling it like he saw it and keeping government open.”
“Because what he’s saying, ‘We’re going to keep government shut down until you Republicans and President Trump give the Democrats $1.5 trillion,’ and they’re going to tell us how to spend it.”
“It will end eventually, when Senator Schumer goes to six or eight of his members and Democrats and says, ‘Do me a favor. Vote to open it back up. I may have to criticize you. I’m not going to vote with you, but I need a way out of this. I need an off-ramp.’”
“And that’s what’s going to happen.”
“But he’s got to be careful because if it looks contrived, he’s blown it. And he can’t look like he’s having a mutiny. But that’s how we’ll open back.”

How does one “take responsibility” for all the vile things he has said (more in the article) except to slink out of public life and try to live an exemplary life privately, out of the public spotlight. The word “apology” is not mentioned in the article. A mea culpa before leaving would be the bare minimum expected. We don’t need people who think and say such things in leadership positions.

Good info. The deportations are accelerating.
Big story from yesterday.
“Since Trump took office, 139 immigration judges have been fired, taken an early-out offer, or been involuntarily transferred, according to data provided by the National Association of Immigration Judges. September had the highest number of terminations, with 24 people dismissed. According to the Justice Department, there are more than 600 immigration judges located in 72 immigration courts nationwide.”
Trump has been removing immigration judges who have been granting lots of illegals asylum. It’s not surprising that the Biden administration had hired a bunch of them to help the democrat party secure new voters.
“Immigration courts, unlike federal courts, fall under the executive branch and are housed in the Justice Department, meaning that the administration can wield immense influence over the system even as judges try to maintain independence. The courts are crucial to Trump’s sweeping deportation campaign as the forum where judges decide if immigrants can remain in the United States or be deported.”
Did you catch that?
Immigration courts are part of the Executive Branch and under the Department of Justice.
The president has full constitutional authority to control immigration. Securing the borders and enforcing federal laws, fall under Trump’s Constitutional power alone.
“In the early days of the second Trump administration, newly installed leaders at the Justice Department abruptly removed senior leadership at the agency overseeing the nation’s immigration courts from service, known as the Executive Office for Immigration Review.”
The Executive Office for Immigration Review works for the president.
They serve the president and are required to “follow” the law, not make up law.
Trump is forcing the entire executive branch to follow his lead and his priorities.
Trump’s priorities are enforcing federal law and protecting the American people and their money.
“The removals, which targeted career public servants who together had served in the agency for several years, illustrated the Trump administration’s push to install officials who are aligned with his policy vision.”
“In multiple cases of firings, the judges were not provided a reason for the termination. At least 30 of them had grant rates of 30% or higher — meaning they granted asylum claims — according to an analysis by CNN of available records.”
Deep state bureaucrats do not get to decide the direction of the country.
The American people do.
They overwhelmingly elected Trump for these very policies that he began to immediately enforce.
Any deep state bureaucrat that refuses to implement Trump’s policies is going to be fired.
Period.
Guess who Trump is replacing these immigration judges with?
Military is the only way.
“In late August, the Justice Department eliminated certain requirements for people to serve as temporary immigration judges, paving the way for any attorney to fill the role. Among those the administration has moved to enlist are military lawyers.”
https://cnn.com/2025/10/06/politics/immigration-judges-fired-trump
Trump changed the requirements for “temporary” immigration judges and is recruiting military lawyers to fill these roles.
This is all to coordinate and speed up the DEPORTATION initiative that Trump launched as soon as he took office.
All planned way ahead of time.
More great news. Winning on steroids.

The 2020 Census was manipulated via a secret algorithm – shifting populations, miscounting 14 states, inflating Democratic power. This isn’t error. It’s fraud. Per the Center For Renewing America’ study. Even Harvard agrees.
The 14 states listed below, plausible Republicans got screwed out of 5 seats IMO.*
“Obama-era bureaucrats manipulated the census with an algorithm that secretly shifted population data, so drastically that even Harvard admits it produced unconstitutional results.” @amrenewctr
Indiana US Senator @SenBanks on the findings “The 2020 Census was a fraud. The Biden admin used a shady “privacy” formula that scrambled the data and miscounted 14 states. It included illegal immigrants and handed Democrats extra seats.”
Below is the list of those 14 states and the estimated net error (undercount = negative, overcount = positive) from PES:
State TypeEstimated Net Error (PES)
Arkansas undercount –5.04 %
Floridaundercount –3.48 %
Illinoisundercount –1.97 %
Mississippiundercount –4.11 %
Tennesseeundercount –4.78 %
Texasundercount –1.92 %
Delawareovercount+5.45 %
Hawaiiovercount +6.79 %
Massachusettsovercount +2.24 %
Minnesotaovercount+3.84 %
New Yorkovercount+3.44 %
Ohioovercount +1.49 %
Rhode Island overcount +5.05 %
Utahovercount +2.59 %
*Bottom line estimate: a plausible number of Republican seats lost is 5 IMO. If you assume:
-The PES undercounts are directionally accurate (i.e. Republican-leaning states systematically undercounted),
-the errors are scaled to apportionment populations,
– the “corrections” are treated as if they were real enumeration…
-estimate of a net gain of 4-5 seats in the House for Republicans (or loss for Democrats).
US Senator Jim Banks is trying to fix this election rigging by the Obama/Biden administrations:
Fix it by very publicly prosecuting people responsible at the highest levels.

AI health sounds like an oxymoron.
https://nitter.poast.org/politico/status/1973501614435737804
It has been shown that AI can’t be trusted in other areas. AI has manufactured fake case law for lawyers who tried to use it. Nine-year-olds are using the term “that’s AI” to describe bogus things. On the other hand, I have heard of AI coming up with a proper diagnosis when the medical establishment did not.
But I have several issues:
1.AI can’t be universally trusted.
2.Those who use AI and/or provide it to others can’t be trusted either.
3.My trust in the medical profession and agencies is gone. Their use of AI is not going to make a difference.
When people use AI as a reference I try not to laugh out loud in their faces.
It is OK for simple questions or a jumping off point, but that is it.
A friend uses it to make polished info graphics.

Health Care’s AI Future
February 20
“This is super interesting – as I always believed a gram of prevention is worth a ton of cure!
In the future, doctors will shift from being the sole decision-makers to working as co-pilots alongside AI, which could act as the primary pilot or a collaborative partner in medical care. Dr. Vijay Pande, a venture capitalist and former Stanford professor, envisions AI transforming health care by integrating engineering principles, much like Moore’s Law drove computing advances.
Pande predicts that AI will excel in preventive care and early intervention—shifting the focus from treating advanced diseases to empowering patients to manage their health proactively. This approach could democratize access to top-tier medical expertise and make high-quality care universally available, regardless of location or income.
Pande also suggests that health care could become the world’s most valuable industry, hence a top Silicon Valley VC is researching it so heavily.
Doctors, supported by AI systems that process vast medical knowledge and eventually contribute to new discoveries, would amplify their expertise rather than be replaced.
How can we position ourselves?
Just thinking out loud, if I was young I would think about these directions
1) think about programs combining biomedical sciences with computer science or data engineering—like Stanford’s Biomedical Computation or Harvard’s Biomedical Informatics tracks.
2) Develop Skills in Preventive Care and Behavioral Design
3) Invest in AI Health Platform Companies – Pelosi nailed this one…. Tempus (AI-driven precision medicine), Flatiron Health (oncology data platforms), or emerging startups in a16z’s bio fund portfolio.”
……………………..
My Friend’s Primary Care “Doctor” is actually an RN with a master’s in nursing with a family practitioner concentration.
She is firmly convinced the person is a DOCTOR when they do not even have a PhD in nursing! Just an associate’s degree in nursing from a local Community College,[2 yrs] a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences and a master’s in nursing. That is cut and paste from the person’s bio.
With a non-nursing bachelor’s degree, the master’s is 3 years much of it online. LINK
So given that as your “health Care Provider” you can see where they would want an AI assist to fill in for the COMPLETE LACK OF TRAINING! (5 years nursing training.)
Compare that to
AI = Becoming a Doctor of Medicine (MD) typically requires a total of 11 to 17 years of education and training, depending on the chosen specialty and whether accelerated programs are pursued.
Plus, not only is the current culture of healthcare training completely lacking in ethics and compassion as a foundation, we have immigrants with an axe to grind serving vulnerable elderly and children. I shudder at the thought of this.
Lord have mercy.
Half the time you can not even understand them!

AI-Powered Precision Cancer Detection
March 24
“AI is changing how we find diseases. AI is now far better than humans at catching cancer early, which will save tons of lives since early cancer is easier to treat. Plus, this could make top-notch cancer checks available to everyone, everywhere at a very low price!!! Best news I have read all year.
Researchers made a new AI called ECgMLP that’s excellent at finding endometrial cancer—just by looking at tiny tissue pictures. It gets it right 99.26% of the time, which is way better than human doctors or other machines.
HOW?
ECgMLP uses a special trick to notice cancer cells in tiny pictures that doctors might not see.
Normally, humans only get it right 78-81% of the time, but this AI is over 99% accurate.
It’s also great at spotting other cancers: colorectal (98.57%), breast (98.20%), and oral (97.34%).

Why not show the public WHY all of these boards and associations and agencies are so anti-science and pro-Big Pharma?
Why not list all of their names, and their affiliations with specific Big Pharma companies, and the amounts of money they have received in donations, salary, lobbying, drug patents, equity compensation and all the rest, so the People can understand that those who claim to be doctors and scientists are literally on the take, and their ‘recommendations’ come with obvious conflicts of interest?
Why always make it a “he said / she said”?
Why not bring the receipts and throw them in their faces, every single day?
Make Parole Boards Sane Again.

The case of the child killer who was paroled and released from prison is even more insane than you think. My team reached out to the parole board last night. We were told by their spokeswoman that under Kentucky law Logan’s killer, Ronald Exantus, is considered a “non-violent offender.” He stabbed a child to death and then went on to assault the entire family and yet he is “non-violent” under the law because he was only convicted of second degree assault. The murder didn’t count at all because he was “not guilty by reason of insanity.” That’s what we were told. Apparently Ronald Exantus “non-violently” stabbed a child to death and then stabbed the rest of the family after breaking into their home. If you think our criminal justice system is completely and totally broken, you don’t even know the half of it. It is so much worse than you think.
In case Cthulhu hasn’t already added the Lion for “today’s” discussion 🙂
I’m playing catch up reading before diving into Wednesday as I was too tired to go online after yesterday’s Ann Arbor adventures 😉
