The phrase god of this world (or god of this age) (2 Cor 4:4) indicates that Satan is the major influence on the ideals, opinions, goals, and views of the majority of people. His influence encompasses the world’s philosophies, education, and commerce. When people live as if there is no God, they by default follow the god of this world. The unholy thoughts, destructive ideas, wild speculations, and false religions of this world have sprung from Satan’s lies and deceptions.
Satan is also called the “prince of the power of the air” in Ephesians 2:2. He is the “ruler of this world” in John 12:31. These titles and many more signify Satan’s capabilities. He wields a certain amount of authority and power in this world. He is not a king, but a prince, a ruler of some sort. In some way he rules over the world and the people in it: “The whole world is under the control of the evil one” (1 John 5:19).
This is not to say that Satan rules the world completely; God is still sovereign. Satan is not God—capital G—he is a god—small g. God, in His infinite, inscrutable wisdom, has allowed Satan to operate in this world within the boundaries God has set for him. Satan’s limits are clearly seen in Job 1 and 2. There, Satan must give an account of himself to God, and it seems he must have God’s permission to carry out his plans. At no time can Satan do all he wants, for God restricts his actions.
Satan may be the god of this world, but his domain is limited to unbelievers. Born-again children of God are no longer under the rule of Satan. God the Father “has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves” (Colossians 1:13). The apostle Paul was sent by God to turn people “from the power of Satan to God” (Acts 26:18). Unbelievers, however free they may think they are, are caught “in the snare of the devil” (2 Timothy 2:26) and lie in the “power of the evil one” (1 John 5:19).
As the god of this world, Satan exercises his power over the unbelieving world to keep them from Jesus. Second Corinthians 4:4 indicates that he is responsible for the spiritual blindness of people without Christ: “The god of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.” Satan snatches the gospel from people’s hearts (Matthew 13:19). He promotes false philosophies and “doctrines of demons” (1 Timothy 4:1, NKJV). Satan’s philosophies are the fortresses in which people are imprisoned, and they must be set free by Christ.
As the god of this world, Satan has spread his lies far and wide. Many of his lies have been successful in taking root and deceiving millions. Here are a few of his more popular ones:
• “God doesn’t exist”
• “God doesn’t care”
• “God cannot be trusted”
• “God is evil”
• “Jesus did not rise again”
• “You can go to heaven if you’re good enough”
As the god of this world, Satan puts forward his agenda, and the unbelievers in the world follow. Thankfully, our Lord is greater than the god of this world, as He proved every time He cast out a demon (e.g., Mark 1:39). Jesus came “to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness” (Isaiah 42:7). The god of this world is no match for Him (John 12:31).

It is my considered opinion that, in the words of Jesus, Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
Christians find our rest in Jesus, as he promised. Constantly, every minute of every hour of every day. If a Christian chooses one 24-hour period over another to take a “day off,” that isn’t relevant to his or her Christianity.
My pastor has said his “Sabbath” is Monday. That is the day he chooses to spend with his family, not “working” or spending time with anyone except them and the Lord. I say good for him.

Observing the Sabbath was part of the Ten Commandments in the Old Testament, the fourth Commandment (Exodus 20:8-11, Exodus 31:13, Exodus 31:16-17, Deuteronomy 5:12-15).
The Sabbath was observed on Saturday, the 7th day of the week, the day God rested

COMMENTARY FOR 2 THESSALONIANS 2:15
Cautions against the error that the time of Christ’s coming was just at hand. There would first be a general apostacy from the faith, and a revealing of the antichristian man of sin. (1-4) His destruction, and that of those who obey him. (5-12) The security of the Thessalonians from apostacy; an exhortation to stedfastness, and prayer for them. (13-17)
13-15 When we hear of the apostacy of many, it is a great comfort and joy, that there is a remnant according to the election of grace, which does and shall persevere; especially we should rejoice, if we have reason to hope that we are of that number. The preservation of the saints, is because God loved them with an everlasting love, from the beginning of the world. The end and the means must not be separated. Faith and holiness must be joined together as well as holiness and happiness. The outward call of God is by the gospel; and this is rendered effectual by the inward working of the Spirit. PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Michael Saylor, founder of MicroStrategy (MSTR, now just Strategy, same ticker symbol) has created a new way to generate money to buy Bitcoin.
Two weeks ago he bought 17,994 Bitcoin (bringing the MicroStrategy/Strategy total to 738,731 Bitcoin) for $1.28 billion dollars.
This week (tomorrow), analysts are estimating that he may have bought between 35,000 and 40,000 Bitcoin over the past week.
Where is he getting the money?
On July 25, 2025 MSTR launched a product on the Nasdaq with the ticker symbol “STRC”, and known as or called ‘Stretch’.
It is listed this way on SeekingAlpha: “STRC Strategy Inc 9.0% SERIES A PERPETUAL STRETCH PREF STK”
It is a preferred share of MSTR, and it was the biggest IPO of 2025, initially paying 9% yield, with the dividend paid monthly.
So $100,000 invested in STRC would yield $9,000, paid out monthly, so $750 per month.
It is tax deferred, because the yield is treated as a return of capital, reducing your cost basis each month.
The shares are designed to hover around the $100 price point, meaning if the price drops below $100 for some period of time (a week or a month, I forget), the interest paid goes up by 0.25% (or more, I suppose, if they want to).
The higher yield creates more demand, so the price goes back up toward $100.
When the price goes over $100 per share, they sell more STRC into the market, lowering the price back towards $100 per share.
And they use 100% of the proceeds to buy more Bitcoin.
Bitcoin strengthens their balance sheet, making their creditworthiness that much stronger, which encourages more buyers, which pushes the price upwards, which allows them sell more shares into the market, use the proceeds to buy more Bitcoin, which strengthens their balance sheet, rinse and repeat.
It has taken a few months to find the sweet spot, where the yield was high enough to create constant demand. The yield is currently at 11.5%, so an investment of $100K pays $11,500 per year, or $958.33 per month.
Last week the demand was so high (volume was over 3 million shares on Friday) that they couldn’t keep the price below $100, because apparently that was the ex-dividend date.
Meaning anyone who bought the shares the day before, gets the full one month’s worth of 11.5% dividend.
Then some of those people sell their shares the next day, so the price usually drops a dollar or less per share the day after the dividend date, and then goes back up to $100 and then over, at which point MSTR starts selling new shares to push the price back down to $100 and uses the proceeds to buy more Bitcoin.
So tomorrow morning, we’ll find out just how much Bitcoin MSTR was able to buy, and the estimates are between 35,000 and 40,000 more Bitcoin.
The massive fixed income market (pensions, sovereign wealth funds, private individuals, etc.) has decided that 11.5% yield is too good to pass up, so the flood gates started to open two weeks ago. There are graphics similar to ‘heat maps’ showing that STRC is being purchased from all over the world.
Michael Saylor is paying 11.5% yield, tax deferred, backed by Bitcoin, listed on the Nasdaq, to all takers.
And the money is coming in 😁
It comes in the front door, and he turns around and buys Bitcoin with it the same day, every day, and the total amount purchased the previous week is announced each Monday morning.
At this pace, he could soon be buying 50,000 Bitcoin per week, and then 100,000 a week.
It can only go on for so long at that pace, because there just isn’t enough Bitcoin on exchanges to fill that sort of demand.

Saylor is offering 11.5% yield, tax deferred, paid monthly, backed by Bitcoin. The $153 trillion dollar fixed income market just woke up and began to notice two weeks ago.
A tiny trickle of $153 trillion came into STRC two weeks ago. A bigger trickle came in last week. 1% of $153 trillion is $1.53 trillion.
The entire market cap for Bitcoin is only $1.44 trillion.
If just 1% of the global fixed income market invests in STRC to get that 11.5% tax deferred yield — which Saylor then uses to buy Bitcoin with — that’s more than the entire market cap of Bitcoin.
If Michael Saylor bought 40,000 Bitcoin this past week (we find out tomorrow am), MSTR’s total goes up to 778,000 Bitcoin. He will be well over 800,000 Bitcoin the following week, and at that pace, should hit 1,000,000 Bitcoin in a month or so.
That would be nearly 7% of all the Bitcoin that will ever exist, and he’s not selling. It’s permanently off the market.
I have never heard of anyone who was so committed, so convicted, so all-in on his investment thesis.
