Doubt there is any bugging in a SCIF. SCIF is to protect TS information. Then consider some of the TS is Special Programs, Code Word Programs and bugging is not likely. No cells, no thumb drives, burning CD/DVD, etc.
Bugging would have to be very, very tightly controlled….targeted. Placed at the right time and immediately removed after trying to record specific user(s).
SCIFs do track logging into computers and I would think every web site visited. Printing controlled.
Outside the SCIF, sign in / out and video.
An easy work around for all of the above is bad guy use another “Five Eyes” Country secure systems. IIRC that would include Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. ZERO TRACKING what folks log into, web sites and print.

Yes, I read an extensive article yesterday in Epoch Times, discussing the serious health issues about 5G.
FTR, I’ve long been concerned about cell phones and brain cancers, and other neuro issues. They HAVE data that shows there are problems. Babies and young people have developing brains with rapid neuro cell turnover and growth – brain continues growing until age ~ 25!
I have a landline, and try to use it as much as possible. When I use my smart phone for more than a few minutes I notice feeling “bothered” – like something is zinging in my ear/cheek, etc.
It’s one reason I was resistant to a smart phone for so long. The tech world has brought great things but it’s also broken social bonds – family, community, neighbors – everyone is on a cell phone, and not really interacting. But that’s another discussion. 🙂

Just told hubby. Our landline got switched to digital, but I still have the old handset type and avoid using the cordless as much as possible. Even before I got the smartphone, I noticed my nokia cell would give me strange sensations. Not good.
The people who pay the bills in this house dropped the land line because of the robocalls. I kept telling them to just change the number, but NO-O-O.

What is dect/ I have a long-range cordless so I can carry it outside in case I get lost. PProbably I have one of the worst. do have a earphone, though so don’t have to hold it to my head.
DECT is the type of frequency and power of the radiowaves it uses. The issue is that they’re radiowaves – affecting our brains. Similar to microwaves which have been proven to cause brain issues.

To deep clean the first floor of this house, I use about three gallons of vinegar and hot water. I’m constantly changing the water, but I don’t care.
OT, but awesome use of baking soda. I keep a plastic shaker bottle on my counter. If a pot comes out of the dishwasher with a white film here and there, or the white ring from a liquid level, or even some food that the dishwasher didn’t remove, no worries. Wet the item, sprinkle some baking soda on it, wet and ring a cloth and whisk it all away with minimal effort. Rinse well and dry. No soapy chem needed.
Use that baking soda laden rag to scrub out the sink, remove silverware dark marks on dishes.
I like to cut those poly all purpose rags in 4 squares after they served their time as drying rags and too many washes. The squares are perfectfor the chores.
And a few drops of your favorite essential oil. (I’ve also done a cold diffusion of the vinegar with fresh peppermint.)

Fortunately I am an appalling housekeeper and my familyare rarely exposed to cleaning chemicals. That’s why my kids don’t have allergies, excema or asthma.
Hardwood floors eliminates some of that.
But, seriously, one office I worked in had the carpets replaced, and painted, and I swear I had fibromyalgia symptoms for weeks.
Formaldehyde in the carpet and VOC’s in the paint. Sensitive people can become very ill from both. Especially in an office setting with limited fresh air turnover.
Sealed high rise downtown. I felt like I had a sunburn, and it was the middle of winter.
White vinegar! It cleans my hot water pot, use it with soda to clean the bath tub, fluffs towels, and does a lot of other things!
I use baking soda for hard water residue. Takes it right out.
The big problem is the amount of pan frying on a gas stove with cast iron grates that are a pain to move every time you clean the darn thing. It certainly is not a museum piece.
And I confess I have a thing for pine cleaners. Rats. At least there’s no formaldehyde in it.

Pie cleaner is toxic to animals specially cats.
I use Pure liquit Castile Soap with Hemp and Peppermint.
For my gas stove I use about 1″ castle soap and a cup of water in a spray can and a little blue Down .
This does a good job for many things. There are good suggestions to clean the oven on the Internet also.

My daughter is a Physical – Chemist and for years has warned me concerning chemicals. Vinegar is good so is baking soda. I also use bowls of lemon with salt around the house and open window regardless of wether.
My other son goes so far to make his own dishwashing power and wash powder.

Presentation means a lot. Through the years, I would often have to run to a well known, high end very large department store wearing whatever I happened to throw on in the morning, because I needed a forgotten item for a formal outing that night. Money in my pocket. No time to fix myself up, because I would have to go the whole nine yards before we left for the evening. Nearly impossible to get anyone to wait on me.
Other times, I would go to the the store just to brouse, dressed and made up but just browsing or having lunch with my friend. The sales clerks slobbered all over me, not knowing I had no intention of buying something, nor even money to purchase what I was looking at.
Perception of demeanor and presentation is everything. Depends on the programing of the person perceiving.
When I realized what was going on, I expanded my, at first accidental findings into an experiment of sorts. It was fun.
Another thing I found, if I was dressed like a harried mom, and I asked how much certain shoes were, but I wanted to try them on, they would bring me a lesser pair of shoes first. Until I insisted. My lab tech, Joe went one better. He bought a house… And gave the payment to the bank in CHANGE, pennies quarters,nickels, dimes…. He brought the change to the bank in the back of his pickup and it took them hours to put it through the counting machines.
Joe was a coin collector and would go to stores at the end of the day and buy their change. He would then go through the change and pick out the coins he wanted for his collection. The rest he put in a bag tossed in his closets. I am surprised the floor in his apartment didn’t collapse from all the weight. He had been collecting all his life and did not buy his house until he retired.

The wonderful thing was when we got to Hanover and went to pick up our BMW from Avis they brought the car took my back pack into the trunk of the car and treaded us like royalty.
I used to be very fussy what I wear what others wear. I would not leave the house unless I was dressed perfect. I learned tailoring in Germany so style and precision was important.
That trip was life changing for me and since that time I put no value in what others wear because it is not what you wear that defines you who you are.

Copper scrubbie thingies at Walmart, QFC, etc., in the cleaning areas…right next to the stainless steel ones. Scotch brite copper coated scrubbing pads is the name brand, expensive one, Walmart carries knock offs for (of course) less. I use them to get grunge off of the burner pans, or off of the enamel coated racks on the gas stove I used to have. Scrub gently.

The story does not give the specific reasons for the decision, although it implies it had something to do with not notifying the victims. Maybe there is a statute which requires their consent to the plea (highly unlikely) or at least their notification as a predicate for the plea. The plea was in state court apparently, but involved the misconduct of federal prosecutors. And this decision was by a federal judge, who (I assume) cannot overturn a state conviction (except in rare circumstances, I believe).
We shall see. Pandora’s box?!?!
The plea deal was an artful excuse, IMO, engineered to save Epstein from any real jail time.

Wolfie would you consider going from the ‘nested’ where new comments can be put under an old comment and the TIME linear format where new comments always go to the bottom?
All you have to do is what I did above. Copy the person’s handle + the bit you are refering to so the conversation flows.
Nested is great when you only have a 1/2 page of comments. When you get to two pages or more, you have to read the entire page again to see if there are any new comments of interest.
That’s a major discussion.
Not everybody will quote. In fact, I’m guessing most will not. So I’m guessing it would go back to nested format very shortly. Doesn’t mean we can’t try, but I’d like to discuss before even trying.
I do hate the way quoting runs up against a limit, and we had to cut it off at 7 levels to prevent them from becoming 1 character wide, but some of the readers here actually DEPEND on nesting (particularly the low-vision folks who use assists that order stuff based on nesting).

then telling me that my brush pile was to green to burn, we’ve been trimming our fir trees back, and the old fence posts I couldn’t burn. well I told her I wasnt doing a damn thing illegal and it was plain as the nose on her face I hadn’t been burning anything for a couple of months and to kindly get off my property.

I think thats why the rooster keeps coming around,my hens are so pretty he cant help his self. hubby and have been looking to buy a couple goats or a lamb. and we have chicks in the house during the spring. We put them in a galvanized tub in the mud room with a heat lamp till they can go outside ,noisy little guys but sure a lot of fun.
Yes they are aren’t they. We have had baby chickens, guineas, turkeys, ducks, geese, pot belly pigs (very very smart) goat kids and lambs in the house to keep them warm and away from preditors until they are old enough.
Generally we end up with a couple of lambs or kids each year.
Mcdonald’s Farm? Lol, I won’t call you old. Chicks in the living room, chicks in the bedroom? Been there done that. I really do want a little lamb. My husband talks now and then about getting a couple, but his intentions lean toward his stomach.
Mary, just remember that a bottle fed ram is DANGEROUS. A buck goat is no problem. Actually we have never had a problem with our bucks being mean.
When raising animals for meat, just do not become attached to the young males. A friend named her ram lambs, yummy, tasty, ice box…. to remind herself where they were headed. Generally by the time they are 2 yrs and near full growth they are not cute and are starting to get very ram like. (DO NOT TURN YOUR BACK.)
We had two pigs one year, Porkchop and Sparerib. Pigs are highly intelligent, and we became quite attached to Porkchop. thanks for the information. I’ll stick with chickens for now.
Pigs are considered the most intelligent of the barnyard animals. Very clean too.
Reminds me of a story, true one. I love to eat good lamb. I was out to dinner with my parents and I ordered lamb chops, which my father cut up for me. When I put the first bite in my mouth, he said, so tenderly, “poor little lamb.” I put down my fork, and my dad laughed. I picked up another bite on my fork, and just as I started to eat it, he said, in such a pitiful voice, “Poor Sweet little lambs.” I put down my fork, and he laughed again. Well, my appetite won over my compassion. But I can’t eat lamb without remembering–then I smile.
Thats one of the reasons we go for ‘hogget’ 2 year old mutton. Of course the $60 an animal charge for the butchering has a lot to do with it too.

We are huge lamb fans, and we’re fortunate to have a few friends that raise them. Leg of lamb for Easter was my mother’s favorite. with her mother’s mint sauce recipe. I don’t think I could butcher one of our own, or have it done, if we had them.
