WARNING: Twitter May Be Slowing Down Our Site

Just a quick note to let you know that – if you think this site has gotten slower lately, as the election approaches, it is NOT your imagination. The site is getting slower and slower, because EMBEDDED TWEETS are loading slower and slower.

I don’t know WHY they are loading slower and slower, but they are.

I finally had enough, and turned off scripts in my browser, so that I don’t see the full graphics of Tweets.

It is well within Twitter’s rights to choose IF and HOW MUCH it wants to serve tweet data to pages not its own. It may even limit data for ideological reasons, because that is a stated part of their policy – that they can limit their data going to sites based on THEIR (Twitter’s) policy toward content on those sites. Twitter has explicitly stated that it will even pass judgment on is own users, on Twitter, for content posted elsewhere, so passing judgment for TWITTER data posted elsewhere is simply to be expected.

To beat this slow-down, you need to TURN OFF SCRIPTS on this site, using whatever browser or privacy extensions you happen to be using. You will then have to click on URLs in Tweets to see them fully, in the same tab or a new tab. Pretty much like any other link.

Without scripts, your browser will likely load the TEXT of the tweet, but not the full contents of the Tweet, including pictures, videos, etc.

It is a small price to pay, for FAST LOADS and NO WEIRD UP-SCROLLING after the loading. That weird up-scrolling is due to the full loading of embedded Tweets. Turn off scripts and it is gone – but so are pictures in Tweets.

It’s a tough choice, but you may want to make it.

Meanwhile, consider Parler. Parler offers links that provide a fast view of a “Parley” in a new tab if one chooses to click the link.

TAKE CONTROL OF THE FIGHT.

NEVER GIVE UP – NEVER SURRENDER.

Notice of Limited Ability To Publish and Administer the Site Due to Probable Browser Hack and Computer Compromise

Welcome. This post is extremely enjoyable, because I’m using a different setup, quite suddenly, and I can actually type. I have created a “window of opportunity” to talk to you.

This will also serve as notice for whatever future endeavors may depend on this information (I think that’s about as cagey as I can put it).

I expect to have a limited time-frame to compose this post – and maybe a few more – before whoever has gotten onto my computer is able to reconfigure their connections, and begin slowing me down once again, through this new and heretofore unexpected configuration. We could be talking minutes, hours, days or weeks. But in any case, I expect that whoever was slowing me down before, and making WordPress posting extremely difficult, will have their capabilities back soon, one way or another.

Until then I will be taking various evasive actions which will, sadly, cramp my style just as much as NOT taking those actions has allowed various inconveniences to build up, to persist, and to thereby slow me down. In other words, expect my getting away from my “visitors” to be just as infringing on my ability to run this site as putting up with them. I will be inconvenienced, and that inconvenience may cascade a bit.

Today was intolerable. I could not even get to the spam bucket to empty it. WordPress has a fairly clunky administration function, and it is made even nastier by my “guests” taking an extreme interest in moving data whenever I enter the WordPress administrative functions. But today was just outrageous. NOPE. I’m no longer going to put up with behavior which prevents the most basic functions of running this site.

As I can’t be sure who exactly is causing the problems, my best retaliatory moves are nuclear against everybody who could possibly be causing my issues. In other words, nuke China and let everybody else deal with the fallout and radiation. I’m bound to get the right people, one way or another.

However, I’d rather not go there yet, so I thus give fair warning, in case I’m simply dealing with white hats who are not “sending their best” in terms of malware. Maybe “not persisting” would be a good idea.

Now – where does that leave things?

(1) The spam bucket is going to get less and less frequent attention. Staying out of there is now YOUR responsibility. How do you do that?

  • Don’t publish exactly the same post on multiple sites. Change them up a bit. This is particularly true if you are posting to other WORDPRESS sites.
  • Avoid too many links. TEN is automatically moderated, but even less LOOKS like spam.
  • Avoid WORDS and IMAGES that always throw you into spam.
  • Avoid posting things you’ve posted before. Again, CHANGING some of the text in your cross-posted content might be a good idea.
  • Avoid posting things from places that WordPress doesn’t seem to like.
  • Try using URL shorteners to cover up URLs from places that WordPress doesn’t like.
  • Try publishing on Twitter, and THEN use a Twitter URL. Twitter URLs don’t go to spam.
  • Try multiple shorter joined comments, instead of one long one, using REPLY to keep the posts together.
  • Because I will take a “spam relief vacation”, you will see very quickly which things are going into spam, and this will teach you what to avoid.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/50/Tuesday_Morning_-_Hillsboro%2C_Oregon.JPG

(2) I am looking for a TUESDAY author for the TUESDAY daily thread. I will continue doing Tuesday, but these will be placeholders, unless my new configuration works wildly well for a long time. The latter is DOUBTFUL.

Let me know if you are interested.

(3) I will most likely be delivering more of “what would be articles” as LONG COMMENTS. It is simply easier for me to do comments than articles / posts. These will be on the open threads.

(4) If my new configuration holds out, then I will need some time to make it more permanent. Thus, no matter what happens, I expect to take a bit of a hit in terms of productivity.

(5) Thinks will only get worse as the election approaches. Other authors will likely face similar issues.

(6) I will share more information as it is needed, as it becomes possible, and as it is advisable.

(6) I do have one article coming soon – it’s about half-done, and I will try to finish it under the new configuration.

Thank you for your understanding!

Dissenter Browser – The Free and The Brave

Take this tweet:

Here is what it looks like to me:

You see that little gray thing in the corner?

THAT, my friends, is the DISSENTER COMMENT BUTTON.

CLICK IT!

Come on, I said CLICK IT!

There! That’s better!

After I clicked it, I got this window, but was signed out., unable to comment. So I found the sign-in button, signed into Gab, got rid of the window, brought it back, commented, and VOILA. What you see.

Let’s look at another Jake Tapper Tweet.

UGH. No Dissenter button in the WordPress Twitter plugin (how you see tweets in WordPress), but don’t worry. The Dissenter button is there on Twitter.

I’ll pull this one up in FULL TWEET MODE in Twitter (where the tweet goes into a big floating pop-up) and comment on DISSENTER. This time, because the URL of a FULL TWEET is the whole page URL shown in the browser, I only need to click the Dissenter button at the top of the browser.

Spot the two green buttons in the upper left. the one on the right is the Brave blocking configuration button. The green “D” button on the left is the Dissenter button.

Click and comment. I’ve already logged in and the browser remembers my Gab login credentials after that.

Of course, if you look closely at my comment, you can see that I’m automatically sharing it on GAB as well.

Here is what my Gab post looked like:

Here is the prior post as seen on Gab.

Heck – while we’re at it, here was my VERY FIRST Gab post via the Dissenter Browser – somewhat ironically on the DRUDGE REPORT:

So what, exactly, IS the “Dissenter Browser”?

Well, it is actually a fork of the BRAVE BROWSER, using the OPEN SOURCE CODE FOR BRAVE.

Brave is a wonderful AD-FREE BROWSER. Because they believe in open source software, they park copies of their stuff where others can use them for spin-offs, and DISSENTER is one of those spin-offs.

BRAVE, if you recall, resulted from SJWs taking over Mozilla/Firefox. The former CEO started BRAVE after being run out of the company by the Obama Youth, simply for at one time opposing gay marriage. Brave is a VERY WORTHY BROWSER and is highly recommended.

But if you’re up for checking out BRAVE, then by all means, check out DISSENTER, too, at https://dissenter.com. The behavior is VERY similar to Brave. Alas, Dissenter is still a bit “beta”, if not “alpha”, so you may experience some missing things, like NO bookmark import from Brave AT ALL, much less being the obvious default, although I expect Brave import support may be there very soon.

The easiest way to get it is to go to https://dissenter.com

Click on “Get Dissenter” in the upper left corner of the page, on the top menu bar. You will go here:

Looking down the page, a TEASER of what you are going to get.

Clicking on the Download button gives you these choices:

Yes! Windows, Mac, and Linux – and IOS is coming soon.

Now – I’m not going to explain how to switch to a new browser, but you can probably find a video on the internet, talking about switching to either Brave or Dissenter.

You MAY like this YouTube video about Dissenter.

https://youtu.be/Lo4-T_KU9Zc

What is extremely COOL is that Dissenter also puts its own button on YouTube! Check it out:

Should I comment on it? Let’s try!

More closely….

OK – that’s enough. No more help. You have to be BRAVE if you want DISSENTER!

*wink*

But you know the BEST PART?

Yeah. Take that, CHINACRATS.

W

AND FUCK YOU VERY KINDLY FOR ASKING, GLOBALIST SCUM.

Trump Nukes Internet With Pepe-1A Meta-Logical Missile

Well, maybe that’s a bit of an overstatement. Maybe a bit of a bad attribution. Maybe a bit poetic.

If anybody thinks Andrew Torba of Gab isn’t leading the way to freedom, they’re not being honest. But the President Washington of MAGA certainly helped.

This is simple, yet seems complicated because it’s very new and mind-altering, so stay with me.

The Gab Commenting Extension is here.

https://dissenter.com

None of this would have been possible without Trump. Let’s be honest. The communists did their best to destroy Gab, but – HAHAHA – because Trump held the socialist scum off at the pass – long enough that Gab was able to save themselves – Gab is about to destroy communism (knock on wood).

Well – it’s more like Gab is going to make their liddle communist lives QUITE miserable, but that’s almost the same thing

I’ve already made the first comment at this site:

If you’re interested in trying it, follow along.

PLEASE NOTE that this ADDED layer of commenting will NOT replace our WordPress discussion, but it will likely augment it.

Here is the Dissenter homepage:

After you log in, you get this screen:

At this point, you can click on “Download” in the upper left-hand corner, and go to this page, where you can select your browser extension:

https://dissenter.com/download

Just follow the directions. You will get a “green G plus speech bubbles” button in your browser. See my first comment again:

Click on the green button, and the window pops up to see comments.

Whether this works for all platforms, browser, devices, etc., I do not know. We will just have to find out. But I think it’s already working very nicely in the Brave browser on the desktop.

You can also get to any URL to comment, through the Dissenter homepage.

The Dissenter homepage even has several ways to get to current “hot” articles. There are lists, but there is also a scrolling banner at the top.

Basically, it becomes like the Drudge Report WITH comments.

What this means is that you don’t even need the browser extension. Just go to dissenter.com and start commenting.

If there is already a discussion, you join it. Otherwise, you start it.

Here is what one looks like:

In other words, they’re talking about a Twitter post (has its own URL) in a dimension that TWITTER does not control.

Here is a Gab post on Twitter (has a URL) being discussed:

Whoops – can’t see that comment – let’s try lower….

Here is discussion of a Twitter tweet about a Spectator article about Facebook banning people:

The thing is, I can also click on the Tweet itself IN DISSENTER and go straight to the ARTICLE itself. Indeed, I was the first person to comment at THAT URL:

Look more closely at the Dissenter window:

What I said is important.

Notice that I can go BACK to the Dissenter homepage and see this comment:

What you are seeing here is FREE SPEECH going TOTALLY META on the ASS of controlled speech.

5:5?

The whole thing feels revolutionary. To quote Flep – who fortuitously said this today……

NO ####### SHIT!!!

Welcome to the WALLS FALLING DOWN!!!

W

FREEDOM. It’s back in style.

PS – extra points for figuring out why the opening image seems weird. -Wolf

PPS – MOAR NEWS!

Gab has just updated its join policy – NO INVITATION NEEDED.

The Banhattan Project

What if I told you that free speech was about to strike back hard against censorship by Silicon Valley, using a simple but profound revolution in technology that can only be invented – and cannot be uninvented?

What if I told you that this PROJECT was based on an IDEA that should have been seen long ago, except that a kind of large-scale MIND CONTROL had prevented us from actually SEEING it?

BOOM!

https://twitter.com/getongab/status/1091839190998892544
https://twitter.com/getongab/status/1091833200861683712

I saved this tweet as an image, so Twitter can never destroy this moment.

Imagine. You cannot be banned from commenting on a site, because the FREE DISCUSSION of the site is no longer in the hands of the SITE or the hands of Silicon Valley Tech Censors. It is in the hands of people whose JOB it is to allow FREE SPEECH.

This is why I call it the BANHATTAN PROJECT. It NUKES the censors. You CANNOT BE BANNED from what will undoubtedly be THE most vigorous and unrestrained discussion of all.

And it will be ALL OVER THE INTERNET. There will even be a GAB LEVEL for every post here, where OTHERS (including ourselves, perhaps) can discuss things even more freely than we do here.

This is a revolutionary idea, and one that I eagerly support.

One thing I am counting on is the BRAVE BROWSER helping to back freedom of speech by backing the extension. Other browsers may make it hard to use the Gab commenting extension but BRAVE is likely to fight Gab less than anybody, and possibly even HELP them deploy the new extension.

One of the things I find incredibly interesting is the fact that this idea didn’t appear sooner. The question is WHY NOT?

In my opinion, the same reason Gab had to appear. We took free speech for granted, even as it disappeared.

Looking forward to this Gab comment extension very much.

You may or may not need this code to “get on Gab”.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but a second layer of free speech commentary here will never hurt me, and thus I look forward to it.
