No Weapon Will Succeed
In Isaiah 54:11–17, the prophet Isaiah delivers a message from God about the restoration of Jerusalem after its destruction by the Babylonians. The people would be in chaos and confusion, but the Lord promises a future day when the city will be more glorious than ever. God’s people will return to their land and live there without fear of further devastation: “‘No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,’ Says the LORD” (verse 17, NKJV).
In saying that “no weapon formed against you shall prosper,” God promises the people of Jerusalem that no enemy will be able to produce successful weapons against them. The word prosper here means “succeed.” The previous verse gives context: “See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc” (Isaiah 54:16). In other words, God is in charge. He created the one who creates the weapons, and He will see to it that whatever weapons are wielded by Israel’s enemies would be ineffective against them. This promise will see its ultimate fulfillment in the millennial kingdom of Christ (see Isaiah 51).
The promise to Israel is often applied to God’s children today, as we deal with spiritual enemies. No matter what the devil devises to throw at us, in the end it will fail because God is the sovereign ruler of our destiny. He gives us the shield of faith, “with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one” (Ephesians 6:16). The Good News Translation phrases Isaiah 54:17 like this: “‘But no weapon will be able to hurt you; you will have an answer for all who accuse you. I will defend my servants and give them victory.’ The LORD has spoken.”
The primary theme the Lord wants to communicate in this passage is that God is our salvation. Even when bad things happen to us—when we feel defeated and crushed by our enemies—we can trust and not be afraid: “God is our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken and mountains fall into the ocean depths; even if the seas roar and rage, and the hills are shaken by the violence” (Psalm 46:1–3, GNB). Even if our cities lie in ruins, a deadly disease wreaks havoc in the world, the economy fails, and we lose our job, the Lord Almighty is with us, and He will save us: “God is in that city, and it will never be destroyed; at early dawn he will come to its aid. Nations are terrified, kingdoms are shaken; God thunders, and the earth dissolves. The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge” (Psalm 46:5–7, GNB).
A weapon is anything designed to inflict harm. In 2 Corinthians 10:4, the apostle Paul tells us that we have been given tools to fight against our enemy, but our weapons are not ordinary armaments: “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.” Often, the enemy hits us with spiritual strongholds of confusion, depression, anger, anxiety, fear, temptation, and loneliness. But the Lord has given us His Word as our sword and faith as our shield (Proverbs 30:5; Hebrews 4:12), and we have His spiritual armor to protect us (Ephesians 6:10–18).
God is in command. He controls both those who make weapons and those who use them. The battle is not ours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15; 1 Samuel 17:47). He has already won the contest. Through Jesus Christ, He has defeated the final enemy, who is death, and purchased for us eternal life (2 Timothy 1:10; see also Isaiah 25:8; Hebrews 2:14; Revelation 1:18). The Lord will protect and uphold His children, no matter what we face, and help us through to the final victory (Isaiah 41:10). As God’s people, we can be confident in the Lord’s ultimate triumph over every enemy. In Isaiah’s time, as in all of history, and in the future in its fullest sense, every child of God can say, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper!”

‘Influencers’ refers to social media persona with a significant following not the politicians in this tweet. He’s talking about the Trump doomers on X, those down on Trump’s strategy or his campaign team selections, or whatever else they think Trump should or should not be doing that riles them.
If you’re on X enough, you know who they are which is why Catturd doesn’t need to name them. X is an ongoing running conversation between and for daily users, but that’s not often apparent when tweets are individually selected and posted other places like here. Things that don’t seem suffuciently explained by a single tweet are ckear enough in the daily flow on X itself.
I am not on X, so I am not privy to those conversations. I know of some influencers, but I doubt they would fall into the categories Catturd is referring to.

A pension investigator asserts that under Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, the state’s public school teachers’ retirement system has been manipulating financial reports by significantly understating the annual fees paid to Wall Street investment managers and showing unrealistically high returns, according to the New York Post.
Edward Siedle, an independent pension investigator, claims that the state-run Teachers Retirement Association (TRA) has only disclosed less than 10% of the $2.9 billion in fees it spent over the past decade. He also criticized the TRA for reporting gains that barely exceed its own benchmarks by 0.2%, which he described as “virtually impossible.”
“Even Bernie Madoff didn’t claim to beat the market every single year — and certainly not by the exact same percentage,” Siedle said, and referred to the TRA performance as a “Madoff miracle under Walz’s watch.”
The late financier Madoff orchestrated the largest investment fraud in Wall Street history, pleading guilty in 2009 to running a Ponzi scheme that swindled thousands out of their life savings.
Walz, who has been serving as chairman of the Minnesota State Retirement System since January 2019, oversees $140 billion in state employee funds, including $28.2 billion for teachers, the outlet reported.
“I don’t know if the man had any pre-existing knowledge of finance or pensions, but as chairman, he should have educated himself,” Siedle said. “Pension board members have a fiduciary duty to monitor fees, and to ensure that the investments’ performance is accurately disclosed.”
Katie Dickerson, a teacher nearing retirement, testified in February that despite high contribution rates, there have been no improvements to the retirement system, leading to extended work years and significant penalties for early retirement.
“Not only do we have a high contribution rate to TRA, but we . . . are forced to work many more years unless we are willing to be hit with huge penalties,” Dickerson reportedly told the Minnesota’s Legislative Commission on Pensions and Retirement.
For FY 2023, the TRA reported an 8.9% return and $24.19 million in management fees. But Siedle estimates actual fees to be between $334 million and $467 million, or 5% to 7% of TRA’s private assets. Even a 1% fee would total $280 million — over 10 times the reported amount. Siedle’s requests for investment documents have not yet been fulfilled by the TRA or state agencies.
Siedle’s report notes that the Minnesota attorney general and state auditors, who typically investigate such issues, are on the same state pension board chaired by Walz. Consequently, Siedle filed a whistleblower complaint with the SEC and FBI in July, according to The Post.
The Harris-Walz campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

As previously reported, there is a Trump/MAGA/Patriots rally held at a Buffalo suburban major intersection every Saturday from noon to two.
I went yesterday from 12:15 to 1:45. I counted 23 people, but I heard the apparent organizer say there had been 29 people who attended in total including a few who came and went.
This was my fourth attendance in a row, and it seems there is likely a core group of a dozen or so. I was greeted very nicely by several, and engaged in nice conversation with several. I did not feel the sense of distance I felt last week (which again was perfectly natural and NOT taken personally).
The organizer seems to be a man I had previously heard called a pastor. I heard his first name but refrain from repeating it out of caution. He is an intense man (in a good way), but we have not spoken at length, so I have not formed a more specific impression. I am guessing he is a man of integrity and commitment.
It was sunny but breezy out, and everyone was in a good mood. A couple people remarked that they felt that things were turning our way, that people were finally “getting” it. People were totally aware that this thing may in fact be stolen from us, but were optimistic that Trump’s numbers could beat the fraud and rigging.
The vehicle traffic is generally supportive based on the constant honking and thumbs up, and both the pastor and another fellow commented that the positive reactions were up and the negative reactions were down.
I spoke to a guy through his open passenger window waiting for the light to change. It was like talking to a member of The Q-Tree. Others gave a thumbs up through an open window, and said “thank you.” There was a genuine and sincere aspect to these positive people which was striking, as if they knew what state of things we are in.
There was another fellow I spoke with at some length. He had been to over a dozen rallies, including Butler. He was the guy who told me that Trump’s private security was evident and active at all the rallies, but were absent at Butler. Again, I do not know what to make of this assertion, other than to say he seemed credible to me. Plus, as far as I am aware, not a word has been spoken about Trump’s private security and Butler, a question which has been on my mind.
I asked this same fellow about overt hostility beyond the dreary rude gestures. This is what he said.
First, about a year ago one of the regulars was at the corner where the cars turn. A car went by and someone throw a 12 oz. can of ravioli which hit him in the shoulder, causing a bruise. The car was going fast, adding to the force. I spoke to the man who confirmed what happened. He is one of those people who just immediately strikes you as kindly and considerate.
He said the bruise lasted about a week, and commented that more damage could have been done if he had been hit in the eye. A Trump-like escape.
Another incident happened when a car with four people came into the nearby parking lot, and egged every parked car was.
Another time a person came into the parking lot and very ostentatiously took photos of the license plates.
According to someone, last week a person called the police and reported that the Trump people were intimidating people in their cars. The police replied that they went by the rally and saw that everyone was behaving well. I could not track down the ultimate provenance of this report, and wondered how anyone could know what the police were told or how they responded. People have sources, so maybe they were being protected.
The same fellow I asked about overt hostilities said something which uplifted me. This patriot had been to all previous 150 Saturday gatherings. He told me that the kindnesses and gratitude over that period were amazing. People stopping by with cases of water, with pizza, even with beer. People stopping by just to personally thank the patriots. People stopping by with coffee from Tim Hortons.
The fellow who was hit with the can confirmed all of that. I made a comment to him which I made here last week. If these wonderful people had been here for 150 Saturdays in a row, they came out in some VERY bitterly cold Saturdays. He smiled and said on those days people would take turns holding the American flag while others went to their cars to get warmth. And on those days strangers would stop by with hot coffee for all.

I lived in Boston for five years, NYC for five years, Horseheads NY for three years and the rest in Buffalo. I have had a chance to compare different populations.
With Horseheads, I remember the beautiful hills and spending many, many hours outdoors, enjoying the outdoors. The people were distinctly rural, but very nice.
I loved NYC and Boston both. I found the people in both places far more friendly than they are generally given credit for, but both were many years ago.
I was active politically in both (LOL — almost got the Conservative Party nomination for New York County Borough President !!!! THAT was a trip!). So I associated with like-minded people and that made the experience generally good wrt people, but even the general populace I found to be courteous and friendly. I was SHOCKED when I first went to Boston and saw people queing up for the subway or bus – – so civilized and delightful.
But Buffalo and western NY people were (are) off the charts wonderful people in my experience, even with the recent decline in manners and humanity. I have been to Rochester several hundred times, and the place is not for me. Too snooty and full of itself, but that is just an impression, not an in depth study.
I remember going to my grandmother’s in the inner city of Rochester after the riots, and getting heckled at walking with my father. That same neighborhood now is worse 50 years later. Rochester is just like ever other Democrat run city, parts of it are no go zones. Yet somehow 🤔 they keep electing more of the same. Same shit just a different year.
This is the America that will survive no matter what. A remnant, so to speak.

Unruly and untamed
The situation is abnormous
No relief for the ashamed
It begins with just a sadness
A bad feeling comes about
Then grows to sheer madness
Though one may not act-out
The solemness it comes rearing
The seriousness of the claim
The ship has lost its steering
Internally comes the blame
It is not what you or I did
That created the disdain
The blame would God forbid
So from the guilt refrain
Lord Jesus healed the sick
Banished demons from the man
But no one saw the uptick
Or from where it all began
The pressure to be best
We can ever possibly be
Comes from the worldly test
That we can ever barely see
By what worldly standard
Do we step up to the plate
By what are we pandered
What drew us to the debate
We cannot know of things unseen
If not brought into the open
To what dimension we have been
Or from words that were unspoken
Though we try to make sense of it
We cannot and often fail
Only God knows the pretense of it
Obviously beyond the pale
Only God knows the why and wherefore
It is not ours to discern
So we go to the thus and therefore
We must let go of the concern
When a loved one leaves us
No matter what the cause
It truly can bereave us
Give us a time to pause
Our hearts are surely broken
What appears beyond repair
The words we left unspoken
Of those we are most aware
Calm My Spirit – Oh, My Lord
Give me peace inside of me
Help me to look only forward
Find sweet comfort unto Thee
Help me Lord to carry on
Way beyond the current day
For You are the bright new dawn
The Life, the Truth, the Way!

HOLY SPIRIT POWER
Whoever values the world – is not of God;
The Spirit cannot dwell in him – he is flawed;
Seek ye first the kingdom of God – in His Word;
All will be added too – have you not heard?
The Power of the Spirit is immense;
Indwelled with the Spirit is intense;
There is no comparison – none at all;
To anything worldly – the world is too small!
His Spirit within you empowers – protects;
He convicts you of sin – and He corrects;
No power in the universe – can compare;
Anytime – anyplace – or anywhere!
Trust in God – keep close contact – let Him in;
Pray He will send His Spirit to dwell within;
When the Spirit indwells – He guides your way;
Whatever you do – whatever you say!
All bad feelings – all hurt – attendant pain;
He will dispel – till you are free again;
He will guide your heart – so free you will stay;
The demons that pursue you – He’ll keep at bay!
All turmoil – torment – they seek to create;
He will disable – and surely abate;
Keep in obedience – and He’ll bless you;
With His gifts and fruits – that’s what He will do!
When you are tempted – by the evil one;
Think not twice – ask Him – and it will be done;
Take this thought from me – please take it away;
In Jesus’ Name – it has no power to stay!
In all that you do – what you encounter;
He will assist – and put it asunder;
Fear not the evil one – his power fades;
With the Spirit inside – His power aids!
In the supernatural war – we fight each day;
There’s no greater power – to keep them away;
Than His Spirit inside you – strengthening;
Protecting – their distance He’s lengthening!
Come – Holy Spirit – within me – I pray;
Keep all evil from me – keep it at bay;
Keep my heart – and my thoughts – pure with Your grace;
Indwell in my heart – shine Your light on my face!

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

TRUST GOD
When the walls come crashing down on you
When slings and arrows fly out of the blue
When all appears lost with no hope in sight
When no solution adheres to your plight
TRUST GOD
When you are weary of thinking it through
When you’ve exhausted a way out for you
When the voices in your head keep damning
When the doors and windows keep slamming
TRUST GOD
Remember that God is a friend not a foe
He is right by your side wherever you go
He does not condemn when you have fallen
He is right there waiting when you call in
TRUST GOD
When your options are few or so you think
He is there with a hand up from the brink
Go quickly to Him as your first import
Let Him never be your last resort
TRUST GOD
When there seems to be no relief from pain
Keep pleading with Him all over again
Perhaps you have trouble praying outright
Take authority it will be alright
TRUST GOD
Be honest and tell Him down on your knees
You cannot tackle this alone if you please
Acknowledge His prowess over it all
That nothing for Him is ever too small
TRUST GOD
If you feel foolish and somewhat ashamed
He understands and you will not be blamed
His heart is as great as His love for you
His correction might be harsh hard to do
TRUST GOD
Believe it or not you will rise higher
On the wings of eagles quite the flyer
His judgements are fair and for your own good
Obey His commands rightly as you should
TRUST GOD
You’ll feel His Fatherly love surrounding
Your head will be relieved from the pounding
The enemy will no longer laugh out loud
You’re a Child of God and you should be proud!!!
