World Bank Insider Blows Whistle on Corruption, Federal Reserve (2013)
A former insider at the World Bank, ex-Senior Counsel Karen Hudes, says the global financial system is dominated by a small group of corrupt, power-hungry figures centered around the privately owned U.S. Federal Reserve. The network has seized control of the media to cover up its crimes, too, she explained. In an interview with The New American, Hudes said that when she tried to blow the whistle on multiple problems at the World Bank, she was fired for her efforts. Now, along with a network of fellow whistleblowers, Hudes is determined to expose and end the corruption. And she is confident of success.
Citing an explosive 2011 Swiss study (1) published in the PLOS ONE journal on the “network of global corporate control,” Hudes pointed out that a small group of entities — mostly financial institutions and especially central banks — exert a massive amount of influence over the international economy from behind the scenes. “What is really going on is that the world’s resources are being dominated by this group,” she explained, adding that the “corrupt power grabbers” have managed to dominate the media as well. “They’re being allowed to do it.”
According to the peer-reviewed paper, which presented the first global investigation of ownership architecture in the international economy, transnational corporations form a “giant bow-tie structure.” A large portion of control, meanwhile, “flows to a small tightly-knit core of financial institutions.” The researchers described the core as an “economic ‘super-entity’” that raises important issues for policymakers and researchers. Of course, the implications are enormous for citizens as well.
Hudes, an attorney who spent some two decades working in the World Bank’s legal department, has observed the machinations of the network up close. “I realized we were now dealing with something known as state capture, which is where the institutions of government are co-opted by the group that’s corrupt,”

Thanks to the Oil Crisis, the problem for big banks like Chase Manhattan, Citicorp and Bank of America were two-fold: Third world countries defaulting on their loans and no one credit worthy in the USA to lend to.
A former respected member of international banking, John Perkins, said in “Confessions of an Economic Hit Man” and interviews, the American banks and IMF solved both of these problems by having the IMF lend countries the money to pay off the American bank loans.

So the Bank turned instead to farmlandgrab.org, a website run by GRAIN, made a database of all the deals that the media reported on there, and then sent out teams of consultants to see if they were real or not.2 Is this the best that the World Bank could do?
…Yes, there is an “enormous” farmland grab going on around the world ever since the 2008 food and financial crises and it shows no signs of abating. The Bank says that the 463 projects it tallied from farmlandgrab.org between October 2008 and June 2009 cover at least 46.6 million hectares of land and that the majority of these are in sub-Saharan Africa. Field reports validated that 21% of these projects are “in operation”….
The Bank’s findings also corroborate what others have been saying about the impacts of these land grabs. … it finds that the investments are giving almost zero back to affected communities in terms of jobs or compensation, to say nothing of food security…
Weighing up exactly who is involved and for what purpose, without the fantasies attached, would have been most useful. …the Bank shared some data of this nature when it identified for the Global Donor Platform the top countries targeted by these land grab deals and the top countries of origin of the investors between 2008 and 2009 (see Table 1). But in its final report, the Bank chose not to name names, forcing everyone to speculate why….

He says “the Germans gave propaganda a bad name,” not Bernays and the United States with their vast campaign of lies, mainly aimed at the American people to get their support for going to a war they opposed (think weapons of mass destruction). Years ago, we had little pots of mint on little two-row brick pedestals around the outside of our patio, about four feet apart. We had spearmint, peppermint, chocolate mint, mojito mint, pineapple mint, Kentucky Colonel mint (best for juleps), lemon mint…..
Little did we know that they cross-hybridize like crazy and each plant would produce several hundred microscopic seeds (smaller than poppy seeds) that would get tracked all over the back yard. When one lodged in the ground, it would start sending out underground runners in all directions before it was six inches tall.
To me, eradication of escaped mints is a serious affair and not pleasant at all.
I had no idea that they proliferate like that.
Think of them as shorter, greener, smelly, running bamboo and you’re in the right ballpark.
Incidentally, lemon balm is a close cousin, and it would invade our pots of bamboo.

Yep, it’s on the short list of “plants that will invade bamboo.” A two-inch section of rhizome has a good chance of developing roots and leaves, and it produces immense amounts of seeds.
Some other plants to be well aware of (and you can’t recycle their potting soil) are calla lilies and horseradish. If you compost, it has to be the “hot, wet” compost that will sit at 160+ degrees for a couple of weeks (or steam sterilize it). If you do regular compost with ’em, they’ll sprout plants in the compost pile. Don’t count on a hard frost to save you, either.
It is worth noting that most culinary herbs are weeds in their native lands.

Did anyone bother to look at his state I.D., or does he have state I.D. from two different states — and if so, is that legal?
I’m sure that TB can better address this — but, if the goal is to fill in all the right boxes to pass it off to Fannie Mae, WGAF?
The compliance officer better GAF, even if nobody else does.
And if the broker wants to keep his license, he better care too.
And if the Title company wants to keep their professional liability insurance or bond or whatever they have to protect themselves against missed problems with the Title, they better care.
The temptation to commit fraud is everywhere, and it has all happened before a thousand times, so there are plenty of laws to cover all of this stuff.
I just can’t imagine the utter lawlessness or incompetence that would allow something so blatant to fall through the cracks. IMO it’s not possible, unless the borrower went to considerable effort to defraud the lender and the title company, or unless the lender and/or title company were in on the fraud.
They should catch this kind of misrepresentation with a regular John Q. Public borrower. Schiffty is a nationally known politician. And he’s not known for his honesty 😂
I’ve taken 1003 residential loan applications from borrowers myself. Lots of them. I’ve also called lots of employers to verify the borrower’s employment over the phone and have them sign the borrower’s employment verification form.
This wasn’t an accident or negligence.
White people have to care about these things, because white people actually go to prison for committing fraud.

Hate to break it to you Scott BUT THEY DO NOT GIVE A FUCK!
We are saddled with a VERY FRAUDULENT mortgage.
First the State Attorney General went after Craig Steivrsant (I think that was his name) for setting up these dicey loans.
The law firm involved was Brock & Scott, a Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based real estate firm.
We scheduled and scheduled and scheduled the closing to be done in our town but the law firm kept canceling until the last day the mortgage was good for. They finally had us drive into their main office. The attorney had us come in at the opening ~10:00 am and wait all day. Finally as he was walking out of the office on his way home he tossed the papers on the table in a conference room and instructed a law clerk to get us to sign the papers. The closing was after hours when everyone had left the law offices. The only people present was the law clerk, Hubby and I.
I had insisted that the mortgage be a fixed rate mortgage and we had a higher rate because of that. After we finished signing the papers, the law clerk took the papers into another room and then came back handed the papers to us. It wasn’t until several months later that we found out the “Adjustable Rate” box had been checked off AFTER we had signed the papers!!! So now we have a 14% mortgage rate.
Another non-lawyer at Brock & Scott was disbarred for the same practice during the same time period. It is exactly what happen to us.

PER CURIAM: In this attorney disciplinary matter, respondent and the Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) have entered into two Agreements for Discipline by Consent pursuant to Rule 21, RLDE, Rule 413, SCACR. Before being admitted to practice law in any state, respondent obtained employment with Brock & Scott, a Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based real estate firm. He was assigned to the firm’s law office in Rock Hill. Respondent worked under the supervision of an attorney licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
While employed as a non-lawyer at Brock & Scott, respondent conducted real estate closings without an attorney being present. Respondent signed his own name to the documents associated with the real estate closings. After conducting the closings, it was respondent’s practice to have other employees of the firm sign as witness and/or notary on the documents even though they were not present at the closings. Respondent conducted some closings when there was no licensed South Carolina attorney on the premises. Respondent routinely signed as witness and notary to documents relating to closings at which he was not present…..

You should receive the originally agreed fixed rate or today’s fixed rate, whichever is lower, plus a return of all overpayment since the mortgage began, PLUS interest, PLUS damages and PLUS compensation for pain and suffering.
And not a new 30 year mortgage. If you only have X number of years before the mortgage is paid off, then the corrected mortgage better not have one month more in duration until it is paid off.
And the firm ought to want to settle out of court as soon as possible, with a bonus payment of at least $50K (maybe much more, your attorney would have a feel for what it should be in your area) to sign an NDA so you don’t talk about what they did to you after the settlement.
I believe I’ve read that in Gail’s region the justice system is cooked. They look out for each other in such a way that justice against the crooks is beyond the reach of ordinary people.

The state of Maryland has been well known for many years to be fully corrupted.

They couldn’t pay me enough, because it’s not worth the risk of being banned from the industry and becoming unemployable (at best), or going to prison (at worst) if you get caught.

I would love to understand the math on that, considering we’re paying over a trillion in interest at the moment, with the debt at over $37 trillion.
I know he’s doing amazing things, I don’t remember the numbers but something in the ballpark of $350 billion from South Korea, maybe $500 billion from Japan, maybe $500 billion from the E.U., maybe around the same from Saudi Arabia and/or another middle eastern nation, in addition to tariffs collected.
Even if the total amounted to $10 trillion (a figure I heard recently), which is practically beyond comprehension, I think much of that is in the form of investment dollars to build factories, not cash to pay down the debt.
Over a trillion is going right out the window, in interest paid to all of Jerry & the Powellettes’ buddies at other Central Banks, as Jerry holds U.S. interest rates at artificially high levels, while everyone else’s rates are low.
Every decision they make and implement is based upon analysis and a forecast. They use real economic models and highly competent people to do it. That would not be the CBO or quite frankly anything we have seen in action for decades.
When the interest rates go down, the national debt gets refinanced at lower rates. The construction/real industry takes off again. Hence the pressure on the Fed. The debt service load becomes a lesser percentage of the revenue base which in now growing exponentially. The trillions invested by international conglomerates and nations create more income streams with major implications. The “dividend” back to tax payers will be mostly spent back into the American economy, which helps jumpstart the snow ball and increase consumer confidence to spend again.
If a company or nation commits to invest as they have, if they do not follow through with their commitment they will receive higher tariffs to compensate for their default.
We just need to get out of the way and help this happen. The wealthy elites have been doing just that, they win as do we.
Remember the “bread” part of “panem et circenses.”

To begin with, what is a mystery cult? It has little to do with Agatha Christie or Sherlock Holmes. Essentially, it is a form of religious observance where an initiate undergoes a secret ritual.
But let us also note that recent excavations in the City of Teotihuacan [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teotihuacan#Recent_discoveries ] revealed amazing ritual features. The would-be initiate would be taken to an underground corridor 14 meters deep and 100 meters long — mind you, this is all by torchlight. He would be lead to a chamber where he might be prepared for his further journey, because psychoactive substances are rare in Central America. Leaving this chamber, he would travel further in a small “natural” cavern lined with pyrite, that would sparkle like stars with a torch, over a small stream, leading ever deeper under the weight of the pyramid above. I took it that he was saying those ancient mystery cults had not died out and the revival (or continuation) could be documented using John Dee and Rosicrucians and traced all the way up until today.
The fact they are still practiced today is the important point IMHO.
Some weeks back, the city had their annual clean-up program. During these, you put out all sorts of trash at the curb and the city gets rid of it.
Nearby, someone discarded a 19″ 24V rechargeable electric mower, so I snagged it. I pulled the batteries and took ’em to a local store for evaluation and — as suspected, they were dead. I let them deal with recycling them and started disassembling the mower (we own the corded version). If the batteries had been good, I might have been tempted to see about rigging up a charger, but I wasn’t about to put $200 of replacement batteries into the project.
On our mower, the handle is a bit aged and there is a flap meant to keep rocks from kicking back at the operator that is torn. In addition, I’m not sure how sharp the blade is from all those many years back. I’m hoping to salvage these parts, so I’ve got some specific bits to pull apart. There’s also a 24V electric motor just sitting there.
One problem, though, is that the big plastic housing had a hole with the motor on one side and the mower blade on the other, and a rusted nut holding them together. Well, a few days back I sprayed the nut with penetrating bolt spray and this afternoon I got them apart. Hopefully, that means that I can get everything else off the big plastic housing and put it in Wednesday’s garbage. That would free up a boatload of space in the back of my wagon.

Got everything off except the safety flap, and the mower body is in the trash can.

For something completely different —
If you live in a place long enough, you will encounter maintenance that nobody knows about because it’s only done every couple of decades.
In my case, it was the front door lock.
If your key doesn’t go inside well or turn, you need to spritz some graphite spray into the keyhole — just a little, not enough to fill it up! It is likely that you will never use up the can. Home Depot or Lowes will have it, but you might have to look.
If the door latch has you slamming the door, you need to polish the tongue of the lock and the latch plate completely clean — they probably have a smidge of corrosion. 91% rubbing alcohol is fine for this, with Q-tips and paper towels. Then wait for it to completely evaporate. Note that 91% alcohol absorbs water from the air and gets old once you open the bottle — take a cautious sniff to make sure it’s not completely gone [brake fluid has the same problem and should be discarded after a year].
Once your metal parts are completely dry, spritz a little silicone lube on the tongue and latch plate, taking care to not spray into the lock mechanism. Inside = graphite; outside = silicone.
Lol, and if you live in a really old house long enough, you will encounter maintenance projects done by others that are so bad, you have to laugh out loud.
A couple of years ago, we finally, after over a decade in the house, got around to removing the old 1940’s asphalt siding. It was in horrible shape, but we had no idea what was under it. The house is 130 years old.
When we pulled down the first wall of siding, we were amazed and excited to find the original German lap with a custom “fancy” bevel. And it looked great, almost all of it. Why they covered it with the asphalt is a mystery to me.
But at one corner of the foundation, we discovered why the front bedroom floor sloped down toward the corner. The house sits on a river-rock-and-concrete foundation, which at some point had crumbled in that corner. Some GENIUS had filled the gap with SPRAY FOAM INSULATION! Yeah, that’s the ticket for a load-bearing foundation wall.
That’s not the only totally dumb thing we’ve found, but it’s close to the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen done to a house.
One is to change out the sacrificial rod in your water heater. As I have thought for a number of years, I should do that.

Thanks. That last article, which I have only skimmed so far, seems to indicate that cloud seeding and chemtrails are two separate things.
IMO it’s a “not unreasonable hypothesis”. Cloud seeding has surely advanced over the years, and while a lot of that is public (see Wikipedia), IMO a lot of it is probably NOT public. Highly persistent “pre-clouds” that would seed clouds more slowly, but with wider and stronger growth, is what I would expect from advancing technology.
There is a military case for pursuing this technology, particularly in the case of natural drought, whether due to normal variability of weather, natural climate change, or “manmade” climate change.
I’m open to any such connections; I just haven’t seen them yet. In my understanding, chemtrails have been ubiquitous for decades, but there have not been corresponding rain events over that time that we know of or that have been noticeable. It’s not clear whether there have been advances that allow chemtrails to cloud-seed. I hope someone is researching this.
Yes – the other side of this is important. Is there actually even a correlation between (what look to me like contrails) and some aspect of the weather, other than things that likely CAUSE persistent contrails?
Plus, there are potentially other reasons for abnormally persistent contrails that have nothing to do with cloud seeding.
Thus, I remain open-minded to all of it.

Re: contrails, in the immediate aftermath following 9-11, when all US flights were grounded, I recall Noticeably clearer skies than were typical, making me suspect that normal airplane activity was at least a partial contributor to our “usual” degree of cloud cover, fwiw.
Wolfie, the weather this summer has not been normal. Usually in July-August out white clover becomes crispy critters with rain maybe once or twice a week IF we are lucky. Instead we are getting rain, rain and more rain. During this week – 8 days, (Tues – Tues) we get 6 days of rain, or more. The forecast keeps changing.
The creek is flooding over the road so often, that we have given up going that way to town and the town is just leaving the signs up because instead of a short duration T-storm it is POURING for a long time.

Who’s trying to avoid tarnishing Trump? I think it’s clear at this point that Trump is more likely to be fully exposed as an INFORMANT against Epstein – which the FBI simply cannot do – which is half of why the left and the PalPals are pushing the Epstein thing as a brilliant strategy. They know that Trump and DOJ/FBI are pinned down in how they respond, because of rules about exposing informants. Look at Ray Epps to see how much they are hamstrung by their own rules. The FBI can’t itself “expose” Trump as an informant, but Trump himself can. There are no rules against him doing so. They’re already trying to kill him. Trump could come out and say he informed on everybody from the Pope to the pool boy, and there’s nothing anybody could do about it.
Well, I’m not going to tell Trump how to play this. From the cheap seats in the chess battle, I’d say Trump exposing himself is not smart, and unproductive in the long run, but that’s just me. I think he has better moves from ambiguity.

There seems to be an idea that Epstein is the key to all the pedophilic/satanic/etc. activity in the world. Yet there is no evidence of that. Whatever Epstein was involved in, besides what we already know, was most likely a tiny particle in the universe of evil. Focusing on only one aspect and refusing to see a bigger picture and the implications of what one advocates is a sure way to cause not only failure of the championed cause, but also of the ability for ongoing victories to occur.
Allowing the good guys who are not involved in the wrongdoing, and who are the only ones who have any hope of fighting the wrongdoing with any effectiveness, to be taken down ENSURES that the problems with the evil will continue and proliferate. When a personal agenda clouds the ability to see the bigger picture—which is not about saving one man, but about actually being able to destroy the evil—then there is a problem. The assertion that this is about saving one man, or that it might be, raises red flags because it has never been about that. It is about ensuring that the cause of fighting evil and obtaining justice can continue.
There is a much bigger picture. There have been postings here lately about psyops, about being used, and about not getting sucked into someone else’s agenda. Gail’s open today addresses it. Many of us have been angry, frustrated, disappointed, etc., over things that have happened; but I question the idea that “burning it all down” (i.e., destroying the good guys and the infrastructure that enables them to utilize law and order) is going to solve anything. There is no value in that, that I can see. And it is imperative that we try to see the bigger picture with self-awareness.
Just my observation, Epstein was a creep who like young girls 14-17. I have not seen younger girls could be wrong.
The pedos who go after babies and up to 10-12 to me are just or more evil and they are still operating. The men who seek these babies should hang. Those kids are the most innocent.
Most girls I hear with Epstein were 16 and up. With 16 a girl has a brain sorry not to put herself in that situation unless one is raped. Money the lure of money is greed and nothing can give self respect back if one sells out for money. Mind you I am speaking from my own self at 16-19. I had set rules for myself never go up to a room with a date never black alley and never drink alcohol. Guys respected that. A man like Epstein would not even had come three feet from me.
The lure of money never worked and I was poor. Those girls were not only victims of Epstein they were also victims of their own mind by not having self respect. Today self respect is no longer taught or Girls need to find their core strength. Can people make mistakes yes learn and move on. Some of these girls hung around and became willing participants past 18.
I think some of the girls were as young as 14, but I get your point that Epstein had a certain “preference” and that there are many other kinds of evil in the world. I don’t think Epstein is the key to all of that. I agree about those who abuse the babies and the little ones. There is no place in society for people who would do that.
I would have killed any guy who touched my babies because justice is slow and not enough punishment.

Just think what that means. Two in a hundred girls raised by their own fathers were molested. Seventeen in a hundred of girls raised by stepfathers. In my opinion, most people don’t want to know those numbers, so they avoid such knowledge. It’s disgusting, and almost too much to bear.
Without very good counseling, many of those girls will associate being sexually used with being loved. Especially the ones who were abused before puberty, whose brain chemistry is actually damaged permanently. But even the older ones will, to some degree, never fully be able to separate sex and love. THESE are the kind of girls that people like Epstein prey on. They are easy pickings. And judging from the statistics, especially in this day and age of divorce and remarriage, they are plentiful.
After WWII there were many widows with children non that I knew remarried while kids were home neither did they date. That would have been me because children’s welfare comes first. I never understood why bring a man in the house when one has small children. I had a mindset so did many women I knew that children come first and their security. Raising children is a selfless job animals know it. Women in the home is important and nothing goes past mom if she is intuitive.

Right now, I tend to believe that Epstein started out as an “annoyance” being exploited by Trump’s enemies, that has now turned into a golden opportunity which Trump is using to crush them.
Likewise, I think their abuse of Gaza against Trump will also backfire in a similar way.
The Trump boomerang effect, powered by TRUTH, is a heck of a teacher. We forgot all about that one.
IF it turns out that Epstein was involved in really horrific stuff, I suspect there is some chance it may come out, too – but we will see. IMHO that is up to God, not us. Sympathy for victims is not always best handled by dragging them into the spotlight, and God will be the final judge of that, not us.
Nevertheless, I think there will be justice.

I’ve heard Alan Dershowitz say that there is shady information about some of the victims too. Some of them recruited others, and I don’t know what else. I don’tthink we need to know things like that unless there are ongoing bad acts. It’s a sticky situation.

Sometimes that isn’t possible. When the needs of the patient are so great and occur around the clock, it can be impossible to get sleep or take care of a household while also caring for such a patient full time.
Then there is the question of hiring help at home, which, if the patient’s needs are great enough, can mean having various staff members in your home 24/7. And they are not all honest and trustworthy. Sometimes they don’t show up, sometimes they steal, sometimes they complain that the next shift is late, sometimes they abandon the patient while using the phone, etc.
If the patient is not mobile, another set of needs and issues arises. Caregivers who are skilled in lifting and helping with toileting, etc., are needed. As the skill level increases, so does the cost, and so does the difficulty in finding the right people to help. And if something like Alzheimer’s is in play, the patient can be volatile and uncooperative, or almost in a vegetative state.
I don’t know what Mueller’s condition is, but he appeared to be declining mentally during the hearing about his report, so I would expect he has gone down considerably since then. I can’t imagine his being able to testify if he is in memory care.

According to sourced media reporting, Vice-President Vance, Chief of Staff Wiles, FBI Director Patel, AG Pam Bondi and DAG Blanche are meeting today to discuss releasing the audio and transcript of Blanche’s two-day interview with Ghislaine Maxwell.
WASHINGTON DC – Top Trump administration officials will gather at the vice president’s residence Wednesday evening as they continue to weigh whether to publish an audio recording and transcript of Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche’s recent conversation with Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.
The administration’s handling of the Epstein case, as well as the need to craft a unified response, is expected to be a main focus of the dinner, three sources familiar with the meeting told CNN. The meeting will include White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, Vice President JD Vance, Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel and Blanche.
With the exception of Vance, the White House considers those officials the leaders of the administration’s ongoing strategy regarding the Epstein files, two of the sources said.
I would like very much to hear what she had to say.
Me, too – though I have both hopes and doubts that the full truth will come out.
Ghislaine Maxwell’s early relationship with Jeffrey Epstein showed certain aspects which are strikingly similar to Jill Stevenson’s early relationship with Joe Biden. This might indicate that they were both under some kind of handling or instruction on how to worm their way into the guy’s world.
It could be real, or just chance, but if both were somebody’s tool before they were deployed to snare their man, then I suspect that Maxwell may not recall all that she has done.
I wonder about that, too. Whether her father “trained” her with LSD, and who the hell knows what else.
If anything was said to implicate anyone who is still alive who might have committed crimes, I can’t imagine the audio being released because I would think it could interfere with investigations.
Also, if an innocent person was named in error and had to go through years of slander and legal bills, that’s a situation I would think they would avoid, not only because people are considered innocent until proven guilty, but also due to legal liability.
If she said there were no clients that girls were “provided” to, people won’t believe her. If she said anything negative about any of the girls, some will not believe her. Anything she said about Epstein that counters “conventional wisdom” will not be believed by some. A lot of people already think they know what happened, and their minds are not going to change.
I pray they make the right decision.
There are reasons why investigation information is kept confidential. If they disclose this info, it will demonstrate that not all investigative info should be treated confidentially. IOW, it will blow a hole in the entire premise and make it difficult to keep info confidential in the future. While some people want to create a govt inside a glass house populated by naked employees, most Americans do not think that’s a good idea. Count me among them.

Donald Trump is reportedly planning to expand his involvement in managing humanitarian aid to Gaza, citing worsening starvation and inadequate Israeli response.
Donald Trump is reportedly mulling a significant increase in his role in providing humanitarian aid to Gaza. Axios quoted two US officials and an Israeli official as saying that the US President discussed such plans with special envoy Steve Witkoff during a meeting earlier this week.
According to the report, Witkoff flew in from Miami to meet Trump for dinner on Monday. He had been to Israel and Gaza before that.
A US official told the publication that during Trump’s meeting with Witkoff, it was decided that the Trump administration would “take over” management of the humanitarian effort in Gaza, because Israel isn’t handling it adequately.
Trump is “not thrilled” about the idea of the US taking charge, “but it kind of has to happen,” the official was quoted as saying.
“There doesn’t seem to be another way,” the official added.
“The starvation problem in Gaza is getting worse. Donald Trump does not like that. He does not want babies to starve. He wants mothers to be able to nurse their children. He’s becoming fixated on that,” the official continued.
The report also quoted another US official as saying that the administration will be careful not to get dragged too deeply into the Gaza crisis.
“The President doesn’t want to see the US being the only country throwing money at this problem. It’s a global problem. And he’s been tasking Witkoff and others to make sure everyone is stepping up, our European friends and our Arab friends,” the official said.
An Israeli official, commenting on the development, told the publication, “They are going to spend a lot of money in order to help us significantly improve the humanitarian situation so that it will be less of an issue.”
Since March, when Israel ended a ceasefire in its war with Hamas and halted all imports, the situation has grown increasingly dire in the territory of some 2 million Palestinians.
International experts are now warning of a “worst-case scenario of famine” in Gaza.
Under heavy international pressure, Israel last week announced measures to let more aid into Gaza. Though aid groups say it’s still not enough, getting even that amount from the border crossings to the people who need it is difficult and extremely dangerous, the drivers said.
On Monday, thousands of people packed the road as two trucks entered southern Gaza. Young men overwhelmed the trucks, standing on the cabs’ roofs, dangling from the sides and clambering over each other onto the truck beds to grab boxes even as the trucks slowly kept driving.

IMO, in the psychological-counseling world, a kind of “Structural Adjustment” is called “Adaptive Resolution.” For certain people and in certain circumstances, Adaptive Resolution may be a good thing. On the other hand, there are times when the patient needs to make a decision about what is Negotiable and what is Non-Negotiable. This might involve whether or not to continue certain types of psychological counseling, or whether or not to continue to take certain types of Rx psychotropic drugs.

Active Duty Soldier With Top Security Clearance Arrested Trying to Hand Classified Information and Technology to Russian Intelligence
An investigation FBI and the Army Counterintelligence Command has resulted in the arrest of active serviceman Taylor Adam Lee, 22, of El Paso, Texas, on charges of ‘attempted transmission of national defense information to a foreign adversary, and attempted export of controlled technical data without a license.

“According to the criminal complaint, the defendant sought to transmit sensitive national defense information to Russia regarding the operation of the M1A2 Abrams, our Nation’s main battle tank,” said Assistant Attorney General for National Security John A. Eisenberg. “The National Security Division will continue to work with our law enforcement and military partners to ensure that such serious transgressions are met with serious consequences.”
U.S. Attorney Justin R. Simmons for the Western District of Texas: “Our enemies, both foreign and domestic, should be aware that we diligently investigate and aggressively prosecute these cases. I appreciate the investigative work by our partners in the FBI and the Army Counterintelligence Command, and I look forward to continuing our work with them as we proceed with the prosecution of this important case.”
Lee is charged with attempting to provide classified military information on U.S. tank vulnerabilities to someone he mistakenly believed to be a Russian intelligence officer.
The soldier is alleged to have done this in exchange for what he believed was going to be ‘Russian citizenship’.
Lee was stationed at Fort Bliss, and held a Top Secret (TS) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance. Since May 2025, Lee had been allegedly transmitting ‘export-controlled technical information’ on the M1A2 Abrams Tank.
He also offered assistance to the Russian Federation, saying: ‘the USA is not happy with me for trying to expose their weaknesses’, and added, ‘At this point I’d even volunteer to assist the Russian federation when I’m there in any way’.
In July, Lee had an in-person meeting with a fake Russian agent, where the he allegedly passed an SD card to the individual.
The card contained ‘controlled technical data’ that Lee did not have the authorization to provide.
Lee told the fake spy that ‘the information on the SD card was sensitive and likely classified’.
Finally, he endeavored to provide the Russian government with a ‘specific piece of hardware’ from the M1A2 Abrams tank.
“On July 31, 2025, Lee delivered what appeared to be the hardware to a storage unit in El Paso, Texas. After doing so, Lee sent a message to the individual he believed to be a representative of the Russian government stating, ‘Mission accomplished’.”

Its not that anyone ever said sophisticated math problems can’t be solved by teenagers who haven’t finished high school. But the odds of such a result would have seemed long.
Yet a paper posted on February 10(opens a new tab) left the math world by turns stunned, delighted and ready to welcome a bold new talent into its midst. Its author was Hannah Cairo(opens a new tab), just 17 at the time. She had solved a 40-year-old mystery about how functions behave, called the Mizohata-Takeuchi conjecture.
“We were all shocked, absolutely. I don’t remember ever seeing anything like that,” said Itamar Oliveira(opens a new tab) of the University of Birmingham, who has spent the past two years trying to prove that the conjecture was true. In her paper, Cairo showed that it’s false. The result defies mathematicians’ usual intuitions about what functions can and cannot do.
So does Cairo herself, who found her way to a proof after years of homeschooling in isolation and an unorthodox path through the math world.

This is quite real. Although I can’t follow what exactly she’s doing (this is way beyond my mathematical abilities), I can kinda follow the paper overall, and I can generally sniff out sketchy and dubious stuff trying to pass off as advanced math and science, and this is definitely NOT the usual BS that creeps into arxiv alleging to be what it is not.

She finished calculus at age 11, which means that in the next 6-7 years she basically acquired what a math major and then math PhD would acquire in that time, which is exactly what one would need to do this kind of work, provided one was brilliant.
In section 1.4, she talks about the origin of the conjecture, which relates to the behavior of “first-order perturbations of the Schroedinger equation”. That topic (perturbation theory) is actually something I had to study briefly, as it applies to quantum chemistry. I was like, OMG, something I recognize!
Anyway, Takeuchi’s conjecture about that turned out to have had an error, and that is why the conjecture was modified and ended up with two names – the Mizohata-Takeuchi conjecture.
What is absolutely cool here, is that SHE also proposes a “fixed” version of the conjecture, which should and perhaps WILL be named the Cairo-Mizohata-Takeuchi conjecture!

She’s going to skip undergraduate, which is probably smart. Going directly into grad school is likely appropriate for her, but IMO she needs to develop good relationships with other students who are slightly older than her. I knew a guy like her who entered grad school at 18, and unfortunately his lack of interaction with other students stifled his development, IMO. But she seems more normal and level-headed, and I doubt it will be a problem.
I thought that youd enjoy this and explain, although its over my head…way over. Aand im so very impressed in general she is self taught!
The bottom line for “real” PhDs (and CEOs who drop out to start companies) is that they are capable of self-teaching. Home-schooling is going to be a really great source of PhDs and CEOs in Great-Again America!!!
