Patriots are beginning to reassert control over education. It is a battle and we are winning. It’s not just with more homeschooling. A lot of even MAGA people are missing the undercurrents of what PDT put in motion in early 2025.
The destruction of the D of Ed is a good start. The recent surrender by the leftists over college entrance exams is another. Grade inflation is ending as a result. Marco going after foreign funders of secondary education is big. Deporting and cutting off access to American education with illegals and foreign adversaries is another. Here, UT is on a path to begin offering 3 year bachelor programs – more targeted and less BS subjects to fund crazy classes that have no value to society. Tech schools are flourishing again as HS grads are choosing the trades after realizing that is where the money and careers are for average folks.
Kids don’t want to waste time anymore. That is a direct statement from college recruiters and counselors in media reports, as well my next door neighbor who is one.
Military enlistment is surging with better quality. Providing good occupations when they exit is underway, like with PDT’s plan for automatic CDL issuance for the trained military vets. Win-win.
All of it lays the foundation. More parents and supporting attorneys using their voices and exercising their rights by going after leftist school boards and local governments will finish it.

IIRC way back when, you could pick the career or you could pick the location when you volunteered for the armed forces. Also I knew several PhD candidates whose education was fully paid by the military. One was a chemist working on fire suppressants for use on board ships. They were caving buddies.

It’s Always good to be here & we are so thankful for this special place filled with Many Memories. Thanks for thinking of us & even for praying for us if you feel so led. All the grandkids & 3 of their 4 parents are coming later today. Brandon & our SIL are coming Monday. It should be quite busy here once all 11 of us are here. Thankfully my Executor/Trustee brother didn’t yet remove his dining table set he brought up here years ago. That simplifies that one room for this trip at least. 🙂 Weekend Blessings to All!

I have heard this claim about Lenovo for some years now. Because Lenovo is a Chinese brand it only follows that the computer is contaminated with spyware. My question is, I think, rather straightforward. Why would they go to the trouble of placing spyware on their computers? The answer given above is:

That leads me to a second question. Why bother, since they can get the same information, and much more, with a subscription to Facebook? Is there any evidence that Apple and Dell do not do the same thing? If you are on the internet your information is already available to any company or country that cares to look. I do not believe this is a reason to go to DefCon 1. The fix seems easy enough, if you are worried just don’t buy Lenovo.

BREAKING: Big Election Integrity Win for Trump Administration
One night after delivering a national address on election integrity, President Trump has achieved a major legal victory.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit has temporarily cleared the way for the U.S. Postal Service to move forward with its proposed election mail rule, staying a lower court order that had blocked the policy.
The proposed rule would require states to provide voter registration lists and serialized ballot barcodes before USPS would process and deliver federal election ballots through the mail.
In its ruling, the appeals panel said USPS is likely to prevail on appeal for two separate reasons.
First, the court found the legal challenge was likely premature because it targets a proposed, not final, rule. Second, the panel indicated the policy would likely not violate the Postal Service’s 2021 settlement agreement with the NAACP.
The judges also accepted USPS’s argument that leaving the injunction in place would prevent the agency from finalizing the rule in time for the 2026 elections.
President Trump gets a big win in court as the administration pursues further election security measures, such as passing the SAVE America Act.
If the USPS won’t mail them, mail-in ballots are no longer a thing. Been saying it for months.
This is a way to force states to turn over voter roles, and provide a way to track actual ballots (bar codes).
The leftist states will fight it, but the USPS is a federal agency.

BREAKING: Kentucky Politicians Want to Know If Mitch McConnell is ‘Dead’
Multiple Kentucky politicians demand that Mitch McConnell’s office provide convincing proof that the senator is still alive.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear says he received multiple calls suggesting McConnell may have died while he was hospitalized.
Speaking with Katie Couric, Beshear said two separate calls from government agencies raised alarms and he sought reassurance about McConnell’s condition.
“I got two calls from agencies suggesting that Sen. McConnell had passed away,” Beshear said.
Kentucky congressman Thomas Massie has also questioned McConnell’s actual state of health.
McConnell, 84, has been hospitalized or in a rehabilitation center for over a month. In his July 12 statement, his office reassured Americans the senator was working hard for Kentuckians, but was not yet able to return to the senate floor.
“My doctors have confirmed that I didn’t break any bones or suffer a concussion. I didn’t have a heart attack or a stroke. I don’t have any tumors or hemorrhages. But I was briefly unconscious and was taken to the hospital. While receiving excellent care over the past several weeks, I’ve also had to deal with a mild case of pneumonia.”
The McConnell office also released a photo that was widely scrutinized on social media. Many Americans have demanded more conclusive evidence that he is able to serve, such as a live interview or video statement.

No one has said he was “up and at ’em” after pneumonia. (If he had been, why would he still be in a facility?) And no one said, “no worries.” He was sick and had to recover, and was probably very weak since he was weak to begin with.

If the rehab center where he is being treated is part of a hospital facility, that is still not the same as being “in the hospital.”
McConnell’s statement was released on July 12, six days ago. He indicated that he would continue therapy, and that is probably what is happening. He has the added complication of living with a post-polio condition. From reading his doctor’s statement that they are working on “strategies to reduce his risk of future falls,” I imagine that weakness from polio is playing a role.
But he also said, “And I’ll keep you posted on the progress of my recovery.” I do wish he and his people would provide frequent updates, if only to stop wild speculation.
This is one of those “government fails” that should not happen.
It’s like when “Darth Vader,” aka Lloyd Austin, Biden’s Sec Def, just vanished for a few weeks.
It makes for rumors, speculation, and unease. And people deserve to know what the heck is going on with their leadership.
IMO McConnell is just fanatically attached to power, and he’s likely looking pretty bad, even by recent standards (freezes, shuffling, etc.). I have to agree. If I was in the hospital or rehab, meeting three journalists for 5-15 minutes would be a welcome break, and it’s just easy. Something is off here. Part of that may be that foul play is suspected, and keep the other side (whoever that really is) guessing might be part of the response.

God’s controversy with Israel. (1-5) The duties God requires. (6-8) The wickedness of Israel. (9-16)
1-5 The people are called upon to declare why they were weary of God’s worship, and prone to idolatry. Sin causes the controversy between God and man. God reasons with us, to teach us to reason with ourselves. Let them remember God’s many favours to them and their fathers, and compare with them their unworthy, ungrateful conduct toward him.
6-8 These verses seem to contain the substance of Balak’s consultation with Balaam how to obtain the favour of Israel’s God. Deep conviction of guilt and wrath will put men upon careful inquiries after peace and pardon, and then there begins to be some ground for hope of them. In order to God’s being pleased with us, our care must be for an interest in the atonement of Christ, and that the sin by which we displease him may be taken away. What will be a satisfaction to God’s justice? In whose name must we come, as we have nothing to plead as our own? In what righteousness shall we appear before him? The proposals betray ignorance, though they show zeal. They offer that which is very rich and costly. Those who are fully convinced of sin, and of their misery and danger by reason of it, would give all the world, if they had it, for peace and pardon. Yet they do not offer aright. The sacrifices had value from their reference to Christ; it was impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sin. And all proposals of peace, except those according to the gospel, are absurd. They could not answer the demands of Divine justice, nor satisfy the wrong done to the honour of God by sin, nor would they serve at all in place of holiness of the heart and reformation of the life. Moral duties are commanded because they are good for man. In keeping God’s commandments there is a great reward, as well as after keeping them. God has not only made it known, but made it plain. Every thought within us must be brought down, to be brought into obedience to God, if we would walk comfortably with him. “Can it really be 20 years since that late-June day in 1997 when Israel Kamakawiwo‘ole — known to many as Bruddah Iz, or simply Iz — passed away at the too-young age of 38? At the public memorial celebration two weeks later, more than 10,000 mourners descended on the capitol building in Honolulu and, as a writer for the local Star-Bulletin newspaper wrote, “stood for hours in their slippers [flip-flops] in a shoulder-locked crowd for a pass-by glimpse of the body of the gentle giant in a koa casket beneath a 50-foot Hawaiian flag… People of all ages, Hawaiians and their friends of all ethnic groups, paid tribute to the entertainer whom they felt they knew and whose songs played in their hearts.”
Especially that song. Fair or not, Iz will always be most remembered for his voice-and-Martin tenor ukulele medley of two great American standards: “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “What a Wonderful World.”
It’s an intimate, beautiful, and quietly moving performance, a soulful musical embrace that has become a modern anthem, touching millions of people far and wide, most outside of Hawaiian music circles. And is there a uke player out there who hasn’t tried it (if only at home in private) — been entranced by the gently insistent rhythmic strumming and maybe even mimicked Iz’s alternately breathy and soaring high tenor voice?
That track, recorded in 1988 but tucked near the end of Iz’s 1993 album Facing Future, is the best-selling piece of Hawaiian music of all time.
Not only did it propel that disc to become the first Hawaiian album to eclipse one million in sales, the song has been a bona fide hit in several countries, appeared in numerous TV and film soundtracks as well as in commercials, and sold well over two million downloads.
Its success is all the more remarkable because of the circumstances of its recording: It was a single live take in the wee hours of the morning at Honolulu’s Audio Resources recording studio.
As the engineer, Milan Bertosa, explained to me in a 2011 interview, “I’d just finished this hellish session with a girl group, recording one syllable at a time for hours, and I’m wrapping cables when the phone rings. It’s 3:30 in the morning and all I want to do is go home, but there’s this jacked-up client who I’ve been doing some work with saying, ‘I’m at this club called Sparky’s with this guy named Israel Kaloka-loka-loka-loka-loka’ — I had no idea what the name was — ‘and he wants to come and do a demo right now.’
I’m like, ‘I’d be happy to record him; call me tomorrow.’ He says, ‘No, no!’ and then he puts Iz on the phone, and he’s got this soft voice and he’s really polite and really sweet, kind of the embodiment of what a nice Hawaiian person is like. I finally say, ‘Okay, you’ve got 15 minutes to get here. When you get here, you’ve got a half-hour and then it’ll be 4:30 and I’m done.’
“So he shows up — biggest human being I’ve ever met. And we record the songs ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ and ‘What a Wonderful World,’ just Iz and his uke, two mics, one take. Beautiful.
The other song he recorded that night was called ‘White Sandy Beach’ and he overdubbed another uke, so that was three tracks… After those 15 minutes I was thinking, ‘This is what I’m supposed to be doing for a living; not that other stuff, one syllable at a time.’”
I suppose in the world at large, Iz could be known as a “one-hit wonder,” but Hawaiians know better. And uke players, wherever they’re from, know better. Bruddah Iz packed a lot of great music into a career that spanned more than a quarter-century.”

“A careful listen to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” reveals the casual, island approach that Iz brought to his playing. Though gemlike and perfectly formed in Judy Garland’s rendition, Iz didn’t mind changing up the lyrics, substituting “the dreams that you dare” for the line about birds flying over the rainbow. It might have been a mistake, but now it’s been replicated through a long chain of pop-culture covers in American Idol performances, movies, and ads. You could imagine a future in which Iz’s incorrect lyrics replace the original.
When the song first started registering on the mainland, a rights supervisor called the Honolulu-based record label, complimenting them on their lovely version of the song and asking if perhaps they could have the artist re-record the track with the correct lyrics. “Well, I’d really love to,” said the company’s president, “but he’s dead.”
That the track even came to see the light of day was really just a lucky coincidence.
Bertosa had been holding on to his cassette of the impromptu recording session for five years when he just happened to get hired as the engineer for Iz’s Facing Future sessions.
Bertosa thought that Iz, by now hundreds of pounds heavier than in 1988, sounded bad, so he played the cassette for the album’s producer, saying, this is what he could sound like.
Not to pass up a good thing, the “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” medley made it onto the 1993 release, and now you can hear snippets and versions in advertising jingles, movie soundtracks, twee indie-pop songs, or anywhere a producer wants an exotic feeling of wistfulness and wonder.
But don’t only remember Israel Kamakawiwo’ole for this hit song. Remember him as the big man making music with his Martin, carting it all over O’ahu, playing it on beaches and in bars, driving it around in his car, strumming it on stages and in hospital beds.
The man and his uke got in trouble together, and they made great songs together. When Iz died, he cradled that little uke in his big hands one last time. They went into the fire together, and together they were scattered over the waves off Makua Beach.”
He had a beautiful voice, but an added appeal is that his heart came through in his singing.

Trudeau campaigned on hiring more firefighters and promised we would never see another disaster like Jasper again. He had over 7 years in power to actually deliver on that. What we got instead was more virtue signalling, more billions sent overseas, and the same pathetic air tanker capacity we’ve had for years.
Jasper didn’t have to be that bad.
The tools existed.
The money existed.
The political will did not.
Liberals would rather play world saviour than actually protect Canadian communities. They’ll send billions to foreign wars and foreign aid while our own forests and towns go up in flames.

A far-left “Squad” Democrat is facing scrutiny after spending thousands of dollars in donor cash at lavish hotels nearly 2,000 miles away from her home district, a Fox News Digital review of FEC records found.
“Squad” Rep. Ilhan Omar’s, D-Minn., campaign dropped over $6K on high-end hotels and private transportation between April and June, including payments to a Ritz-Carlton resort in Palm Springs, a hotel with sweeping views from the Hollywood Sign to downtown Los Angeles, and a luxury stay in the heart of Times Square, the congresswoman’s latest financial filings show.
The payments, covering April 1 through June 30, included $2,131.90 to W New York in Times Square, $1,613.23 to The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood, $1,143 to Blacklane Transportation, $926.80 to Ace Hotel & Swim Club Palm Springs and $682.41 to the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings.
Overall, the campaign reported more than $28,000 in travel expenses and more than $23,000 in food, beverage and catering expenses during the three-month filing period.
The Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage bills itself as a luxury Palm Springs resort overlooking the Coachella Valley and San Jacinto Mountains, with an exclusive Club Lounge, dedicated concierge service, spa, salon, fitness center, main pool, adults-only Vista Pool and whirlpool.
