The next signs of the nation’s political divide might be jingling in your pocket next year.
- The administration plans to issue a $1 coin with President Donald Trump’s likeness on it next year, despite a century-old precedent of not honoring sitting, or even living former, presidents on coins.
- Instead of quarters honoring the abolition of slavery, granting women the right to vote and the Civil Rights movement, the Treasury will instead issue historical quarters featuring white men from the 18th and 19th centuries who were already well represented on currency and in historical tributes.
The new coins, coming after the administration stopped issuing new pennies earlier this year, underscore Trump’s drive to put his own stamp on the presidency far beyond the confines of the White House – whether it’s by putting his own face and name on US institutions or by pulling back on diversity efforts to reframe the story of America itself.
The US Mint on Thursday released the final coin designs for historical quarters celebrating the country’s 250th birthday next year. Rather than the fight against slavery or giving women the vote, the designs primarily honored a more homogeneous view of US history: George Washington for the Revolutionary War, Thomas Jefferson and the Declaration of Independence, James Madison and the Constitution, Abraham Lincoln and the Gettysburg Address, as well as pilgrims to celebrate the Mayflower Compact.
“The designs on these historic coins depict the story of America’s journey toward a ‘more perfect union,’ and celebrate America’s defining ideals of liberty,” said Kristie McNally, the acting director of the Mint, in a statement.
The US Mint told CNN on Friday that instead of the previously recommended tribute quarters to abolition, suffrage and the Civil Rights movement, the new designs celebrate “American history and the founding of our great nation.”
The Trump dollar
The controversial Trump dollar coin is also part of Treasury’s plan to mark America’s 250th birthday.
The US Mint issued three different proposed coins Thursday with different likenesses of Trump, including one resembling his famous mug shot from 2023. Designs for the back include different versions of the American eagle.
A previously released version of coin would have also featured Trump on the back, raising his fist after an assassination attempt last year. However, US law prohibits images of living people on the backs of coins. The US Mint told CNN there is no such restriction on the front of coins, though it’s been US law since 1866 that living people can’t be on paper currency.
Still, Trump’s coin will only be the second time a US coin features a living president. The first was a half-dollar coin with both George Washington and then-President Calvin Coolidge issued in 1926 to mark the country’s 150th anniversary.

These days, we’re heading for an infotainment implosion. Even though we have all the world’s knowledge at our fingertips, many fail to grasp its meaning and importance, much less read past the headline and, at best, the first paragraph. Meanwhile, we’re letting machines do our thinking for us.
Glenn Beck’s new A.I. project is meant to get ahead of the curve, and it’s laudable in all its goals. But there is also a vital function that cannot be neglected: archiving and storing away the facts and data of our society. At present, these critical functions are performed by entities such as the Internet Archive, doing a yeoman’s job at storing away these irreplaceable records. They’ve come under attack recently and have had some breakdowns that point to a need for a separate system that performs the same function, albeit from a conservative point of view. Thus, this is our case for Glenn Beck and everyone else to support a Freedom Archive.
Multiple systems are better than one or two.
Most preppers can recite the rule of three: “Three is two, two is one, and one is none.” In other words, you need to have a couple of back-ups for every primary system that you rely on — water, food, self-defense, etc. The same holds true in storing information.
In engineering terms, you don’t want to have one failure mode that will lead to disaster.

I have traveled extensively in Europe, and while it may be the modern world, Europeans are vastly more hung up on matters of economic and social class, titles of nobility, differences in ethnicity and differences in race than America is. Despite its long history of attempting to be egalitarian, class still matters in Europe. Titles of nobility still matter. Generational wealth from centuries back still matters. Look at the stiffs in the photo. How many of them earned it? Americans of European descent escaped Europe to get away from that ossified class structure and to make their own way with unlimited opportunity, and that vision still separates us from Europe culturally and intellectually. In the movie “Gettysburg,” Jeff Daniels—playing Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain—delivered an amazing soliloquy, an excerpt of which goes like this: “America should be free ground — all of it. Not divided by a line between slave state and free — all the way, from here to the Pacific Ocean. No man has to bow. No man born to royalty. Here, we judge you by what you do, not by who your father was. Here, you can be something. Here, is the place to build a home. But it’s not the land. There’s always more land. That is okay. Mom told me that when I was young, they parked my new bicycle behind the couch one Christmas and I did not notice it, so it is clear I can miss the point.
Aside: I loved that bike. It was blue and green with removeable training wheels. Once, I was riding down a long hill and someone’s baseball went speeding across the road. My bike stayed on course as we went right over that baseball.
My brother taught me how to ride and I loved taking it on the dirt lane past our house especially when it had rained so I could park the training wheels astride a rain puddle and spin rooster tails of water out behind me.

Here’s a beautifully illustrated set of The Hobbit and the LOTR Trilogy… bought it a few months ago, and the quality is astounding; paper (seems to be acid-free), the illustrations, the covers, the bindings, etc. (smells like a well-made book)… I’m hoping there are some of the rest of the volumes (e.g. Silmarillion) of the same quality, etc.
I also want to get a Hardback set of Narnia in the same quality, both of materials and illustrations…

Ian Carroll produced VERY slick stuff from his first video (remember that one?), which was always very Suspicious Cat to me, perhaps as an “alleged white hat psy-op” by TLAs or MI6, but the point where I started getting some real side-eye was when he began morphing from anti-Cabal to straight up hinting strongly with “it’s the JOOZ” stuff, seemingly (to me) because that might be getting more clicks. Was he part of the antisemitism plotting, or just another influencer monetizing on it? That’s where I was questioning things.
But gay? A furry? Back when furries weren’t much of a thing? I’m throwing a DOUBLE SUSPICIOUS CAT. Next stop – Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson are having a furry affair! 😂
Seriously – one of the best ways to save some people is easily disproven false accusations, and that’s what this smells like to me.

You know, I’m surprised this didn’t get stronger attention earlier. In my long career in science and tech, it always seemed to me that the first people to get fired, laid off, or otherwise replaced by H1Bs, were old Jewish guys from the early days of computing. These guys were always fountains of necessary knowledge, unappreciated by management, and painful to lose, but their salaries could be used to hire multiple Indian know-nothings who looked good on paper, and lied like a rug about what they could do, but were MORONS.

Ashley Wasielewski, 46, was walking laps around Forsyth Park in Savannah Wednesday night after attending a Christmas program at a nearby church when a stranger approached her from behind and poured the corrosive liquid over her head, according to her devastated friends and family.
She let out a blood-curdling scream as the chemical burned her skin, ate through her clothing, and melted her car’s key fob in her pocket.
She was instantly like, ‘Why are you pouring water on me?’ And then her skin started to burn,” said her close friend Connor Milam, who described Wasielewski as a giving person who often volunteered in her community and provided essential items to the homeless.
She looked down and her pants were starting to burn off her body. She started screaming. They didn’t rob her. They didn’t take anything from her. This was a random person in the park who went out of their way to disfigure another human being.”
Wasielewski was rushed to the Augusta Burn Center, where she’s being treated for second- and third-degree burns over half her body, including her face, scalp, hands and legs, according to her son Westley.
The concerned son said he learned of the attack from a good Samaritan who came to his mother’s aid, adding that he could hear her wailing in agony over the phone.
“We don’t know who did it,” Westley said.
“She doesn’t have any enemies. She is a friend to everyone.”
No arrests have been made as local police work with the FBI to identify the chemical used in the savage attack and hunt down the vicious assailant. Extra patrols have also been stationed at city parks.

Chinese Auto Sales to Europe Expected to Top 700,000 Units Sold This year
The geopolitical baseline for Europe is often determined by the economics of their situation. In 2024 approximately 408,000 cars from China were sold in Europe. For 2025 that number is now expected to exceed 700,000 units despite tariffs.
Previously we highlighted the short-term ramifications of the European Union push to force the sale of electric vehicle (EVs) upon the consumer base. {SEE HERE} EU automakers unable to meet the compliance goal began purchasing carbon credits to avoid stiff EU fines. Many of those carbon credits were purchased from Chinese automakers, who then turned around and started using the extra EU revenue to discount Chinese cars sold in Europe.
In essence, EU car companies started subsiding China to undercut their own market. An outcome of the EU chasing the ridiculous green energy project throughout the European free trade zone.
Now reports are beginning to surface of how the non-EV segment of the industry is being lost to less expensive Chinese hybrid autos that: (1) are much cheaper, (2) not bad in quality, and (3) are not subject to the 35% EV tariff rate.
The EU tariff applied to gasoline powered cars or hybrids from China is 10%. That tariff is not enough to stop the imports. The Chinese hybrid autos are substantially less than European car brands, and there’s no financial incentive for China to build auto plants in the EU zone especially when you consider the EU is subsidizing those cars by purchasing carbon credits.

So they begin with a made up ‘problem’ they call Globull Warming. It’s not an actual problem, if anything, global COOLING is the real problem, but they don’t care, because none of it is about the environment, and ALL of it is about CONTROL.
Then they try to force EVs on the public. Some people love them, some don’t, but the euro-Nazis don’t care about that either, they only care about FORCE. Because they’re Nazis.
So then they invent ‘carbon credits’, which is like flatulence in a zip lock bag, so they can fine themselves OR they can choose to ‘offset’ their (irrelevant, meaningless) ‘carbon footprint’ by purchasing farts-in-a-bag from chyna. A country that doesn’t hold themselves to the same pollution standards anyway, so trying to control pollution in Europe without controlling pollution everywhere else is like smoking on an airplane.
Then chyna takes the free money and uses it to subsidize their auto industry, making the Euro-Nazi cars even less competitive.
The idiocy and insanity is just breathtaking.
It’s not even idiocy, because no one in a position of power and authority can be that stupid, and still remember to breathe or blink their eyes occasionally.
So it’s intentional, which means it is criminal and treasonous.
EVs are not easy to make, and legacy automakers CANNOT do it. They can’t just use their existing factories, substitute a battery for a gas tank, and call it ‘good’. It requires a completely new factory with new machinery.
And it requires a whole new culture to implement, which is the same reason U.S. legacy automakers can’t do EVs profitably either. They still use the outsourcing model, where every supplier takes a cut of profits, on thousands of parts that go into a car.
By contrast, Tesla (for example) has factories that were built from the ground up to build EVs, with state of the art robotic machinery, everything optimized for efficiency and speed of production.
And then, critically, Tesla is VERTICALLY integrated. They build almost everything that goes into their EVs. They make it themselves. So there are no (or very few) suppliers who take their cut out of the profits, which means Tesla can sell their cars for less than any competitor who outsources the majority of their parts.
And Tesla has their engineers and parts fabricators and assembly line workers in the SAME building. So if there is a problem on the assembly line, the engineers just go downstairs, figure out the problem, solve it, and get running again.
Legacy auto usually has their engineers in whole different parts of the country from where the cars are actually being built. If there is a problem on the line, there is a bureaucracy to fight through, just to get the problem in front of the eyes of someone who can actually fix it, and who has the authority to do so.
It could take days, weeks, even months, while Tesla is back running at full capacity in an hour or two.
If legacy auto, either in Europe or America, wants to compete in the EV market, they need to do what already works, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. Tesla has been doing it for around 16 years now. Copy what they do, as best as you can.
It will requires tens of billions of dollars in UP FRONT manufacturing investment, a complete reworking of the supply chain to vertically integrate, and it will require either licensing Tesla’s FSD (full self driving) or spending the next 10+ years trying to invent their own, while Tesla takes the whole market.
Legacy auto already missed the boat on EVs. It will take years and tens of billions of dollars to get competitive with Tesla, and Tesla isn’t going to stand still while (or if) legacy auto tries to do it.
The best thing legacy auto could do is duplicate the vertical integration model in order to dramatically reduce costs on ICE (internal combustion engine) cars, in order to make ICE cars price-competitive with EVs.
If they don’t, eventually Tesla EVs will become so cheap that even most people who want an ICE car won’t be able to justify the cost.
I don’t want an EV, and I definitely don’t want ICE cars to go extinct.
But legacy auto is clueless. They have been riding on their own momentum for generations, while the terrain beneath them has changed dramatically.
If I was the board of GM, Ford or other U.S. auto makers, I would fire everybody in upper management and then poach as many executives from Tesla as I could hire.
I wouldn’t bother even trying to compete by building EVs, I would just have the former Tesla execs duplicate the vertical integration business model as much as possible, to bring down the cost of ICE cars as much as possible, to be able to offer ICE cars at a competitive price point to EVs.
Because if they don’t, those ICE car makers won’t be around much longer.
