Walk in the Light
To “walk in the light” is a common metaphor within Christian culture. It is often taken to mean “acting correctly” or even “living openly.” Biblically, however, the phrase has the idea of relinquishing sin by following Jesus.
The only Old Testament occurrence of this precise phrase is in Isaiah 2:5, “O house of Jacob, come and let us walk in the light of the Lord.” The Psalms contain similar phrases (56:13; 89:15), as does Isaiah (9:2; 50:10-11; 59:9).
In the New Testament, “walking in the light” is directly related to following Jesus, who said, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12). While this verse does not directly say, “Walk in the light, i.e., Jesus,” it does pointedly warn of doing the opposite; therefore, those who follow Jesus are “walking in the light.”
To “walk” is, in short, to live one’s life. One’s lifestyle or way of life can be considered a “walk.” The word also indicates progress. Walking is related to growth; it is taking steps toward maturity. “Light” in the Bible can be a metaphor for life, happiness, righteousness, or understanding. The Bible is clear that light comes from the Lord God, the “Father of the heavenly lights” (James 1:17). He is the opposite of evil. Putting it all together, “walking in the light” means “growing in holiness and maturing in the faith as we follow Jesus.”
The apostle John repeatedly used the “light” metaphor in relation to the Messiah. For example, he writes that Jesus is “the true light that gives light to every man” (John 1:9). In 1 John 1:7 he says, “If we walk in the light as He [God] is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” In verse 5, John says that God’s very nature is light. Jesus, then, is the conduit or provider of light to the world.
Our Christian duty is to live in the light God gives: “Now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light” (Ephesians 5:8). When we walk in the light, we cannot walk in darkness. Sin is left in the shadows as we let our light “shine before men” (Matthew 5:16). It is God’s plan for us to become more like Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:3).
“Walking in the light” means we consider Jesus as “the light” in this world, and we “walk” in that light by following His precepts, living in His power, and growing in His grace.

Feds probe flight risks at NYPD’s Aviation Unit as ‘incompetent’ commander booted after safety failures
The head of the NYPD’s Aviation Unit was booted from the elite squad this week after trying to block the feds from probing his dangerous mishaps, The Post has learned.
Aviation’s Commanding Officer Winston Faison was an “incompetent boob” who had numerous breaches in safety as he attempted to make himself the unit’s head helicopter instructor, whistleblowers revealed.
When FAA inspectors made a surprise visit to the base on July 16 because of internal complaints to the agency, Faison flipped his lid, police sources said.
Faison, who joined the NYPD in 2000 and became the unit’s first black commander to fanfare in 2023, began training for his instructor’s license in April and obtained it May 28.
He got his coveted helicopter instructor’s license in record time on the city’s dime despite showing up so late to a $80,000 course in Texas that concerned trainers in the Lone Star State called the unit’s base at Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn, the second source said.
“It used to take a decade to become a helicopter instructor in the unit,” the third source said. “This guy does it in 18 months.”
Like most NYPD pilots, he had a commercial plane license when he joined the unit.
Faison went to two Bell training programs on the city’s dime totaling more than $100,000 — one for $80,000 and the other around $20,000, including the air and sea rescue class he showed up to late in Texas despite having a travel day, the sources said.
Meanwhile, pilots in the unit are working double and triple shifts because of high attrition at the NYPD, the sources said.
This is terrible. At least it is coming to light now in a lot of areas. It needs to be fixed before it’s too late for some people.

Israel moved in May toward replacing the U.N.-led aid system that had been in place for most of the 21-month Gaza war, opting instead to back a private, American-run operation guarded by armed U.S. contractors in areas controlled by Israeli military forces. Some aid still comes into Gaza through the United Nations and other organizations.
The new system has proved to be much deadlier for Palestinians trying to obtain food handouts. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, almost 1,100 people have been killed by gunfire on their way to get food handouts under the new system, in many cases by Israeli soldiers who opened fire on hungry crowds. Israeli officials have said they fired shots in the air in some instances because the crowds came too close or endangered their forces.
The military officials who spoke to The New York Times said that the original U.N. aid operation was relatively reliable and less vulnerable to Hamas interference than the operations of many of the other groups bringing aid into Gaza. That’s largely because the United Nations managed its own supply chain and handled distribution directly inside Gaza.
Hamas did steal from some of the smaller organizations that donated aid, as those groups were not always on the ground to oversee distribution, according to the senior Israeli officials and others involved in the matter. But, they say, there was no evidence that Hamas regularly stole from the United Nations, which provided the largest chunk of the aid.
A Hamas representative did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
An internal U.S. government analysis came to a similar conclusion, Reuters reported on Friday. It found no evidence of systematic Hamas theft of U.S.-funded humanitarian supplies, the report said.
“For months, we and other organizations were dragged through the mud by accusations that Hamas steals from us,” said Georgios Petropoulos, a former U.N. official in Gaza who oversaw aid coordination with Israel for nearly 13 months of war.
The senior military officials and others interviewed by The Times spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly on behalf of the military or government. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
In a statement, the military said that it has been “well documented” that Hamas has routinely “exploited humanitarian aid to fund terrorist activities.” But the military did not dispute the assessment that there was no evidence that Hamas regularly stole aid from the United Nations.

The Israeli government and military have often clashed over how to conduct the war in Gaza. Early last year, top commanders urged a cease-fire with Hamas to secure the release of hostages. Mr. Netanyahu’s government instead expanded the ground operation in southern Gaza.
Israel used the rationale that Hamas steals aid when it cut off all food and other supplies to Gaza between March and May. In March, after a cease-fire between Hamas and Israel collapsed, Mr. Netanyahu said: “Hamas is currently taking control of all supplies and goods entering Gaza,” and he declared that Israel would prevent anything from entering the territory.
That blockade, and problems with a new aid system that launched in May, brought hunger and starvation in Gaza to the current crisis levels.
For most of the war, the United Nations was the largest single source of aid entering Gaza, according to data from the Israeli military unit that oversees policy in the territory.
Now, the new aid system is managed instead by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, or G.H.F., a private American company led by a former C.I.A. agent. It was intended to eventually replace international aid organizations and the U.N. role.
But it has only a few distribution hubs, compared with hundreds under the former U.N.-run operation.
The new system’s rollout at the end of May was quickly followed by near-daily episodes of deadly violence near distribution sites. Desperate and hungry Palestinians must go to the few aid distribution sites located in areas controlled by Israeli forces. The hours of operation are limited and supplies run out, so crowds arrive early, with some walking for miles to get there.
After concluding that Hamas had not stolen from the United Nations on a regular basis, members of the Israeli military met in mid-March with Mr. Netanyahu’s military adviser to discuss the government’s emerging plans for a new aid system, according to the officials interviewed by The Times.
At the meeting, they said, military officials expressed concerns about the intention for G.H.F. to be the sole provider of aid for all of Gaza and presented a plan to expand the U.N. role in parts of Gaza where the private group was not expected to operate.
The military officials in the meeting also suggested that the United Nations could distribute other types of aid that the G.H.F. does not hand out, such as medical supplies.
But the government initially dismissed the military’s plan, according to three of the people familiar with the matter and records reviewed by The Times.
Eventually, when the military warned of looming hunger in Gaza in May, the government changed its position and allowed the United Nations and other organizations to distribute aid along with the G.H.F.
Since May 19, when Israel allowed emergency supplies to resume entering Gaza after its two-month blockade, half of the aid has been distributed by the United Nations and international organizations, with the other half coming through the G.H.F., the Israeli military says.
Over the course of the war, the Israeli military released records and videos purporting to show how Hamas has been exploiting humanitarian aid. The army also shared what it described as internal Hamas documents found in a headquarters in Gaza, which discuss the percentage of aid taken by various Hamas wings and dated to early 2024. But those documents do not specifically refer to the theft of U.N. aid.
Israel has long had tense relations with the United Nations, which spilled over into open hostility during the Gaza war. Israel accuses the organization of bias and says that it was infiltrated by Hamas, including claims that U.N. staff took part in the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack that started the war.
Israel has accused the United Nations of failing to collect truckloads of aid sitting idle near a border crossing into northern Gaza.
The United Nations, in turn, says the Israeli military has not provided enough secure routes to send those trucks in. It accuses Israel of destroying Gaza and blocking critical aid.
This past week, Israel refused to renew the visa of Jonathan Whittall, a senior U.N. humanitarian official who oversees humanitarian affairs in Gaza and the Israeli-occupied West Bank. Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said the official had “spread lies about Israel.”
Mr. Petropoulos, the former U.N. official in Gaza, welcomed the notion that some Israeli officials had recognized the U.N.-led aid system as effective during the war. But he said he wished that endorsement had come much sooner.
“If the U.N. had been taken at face value months ago, we wouldn’t have wasted all this time and Gazans wouldn’t be starving and being shot at trying to feed their families,” he said.

If your not aware the only two countries I’m aware of that have not in some way come down hard on Israel are the USA and Germany. UK apparently folded Thursday with a statement from Starmer which he is getting condemned for anyway as being too late.

I find this mildly amusing in that Nazi War Criminals were hunted through out my life time. Now the shoe has the potential to be on the other foot with Israeli War Criminals being hunted, though that will depend on World Resolve, but the clamor for action will certainly be there, though intransigence and distraction will be at play.

I’m not going to second guess Trump on any of this but to say that the AIPAC lobby is still alive and well and even if he does not speak out on it, he might be working behind the scenes to knock some sense into Israel. Or at least that’s a hope. I’ve read Egypt may be beginning to flow aid in through southern border and Starmer seemed frightened to take any serious action until just before Trump showed up in Scotland.

Defense Minister Galant and others declared at the outset of Israel’s campaign of revenge for the brutal attack of October 7 that Palestinians were less than human and that starvation would be used as a weapon.
Disgracefully, the Israeli government and its cheerleaders spread the lie that Hamas was stealing food in large quantities from the U.N., whom they love to malign.
Emboldened by its supporters in the United States and by a weak response from the rest of the world, Israel then announced that it would block all aid to the civilian population “to pressure Hamas”. An openly declared war crime that would lead to starvation of Palestinians and hostages alike.
For 80 days, from March 2 to May 18 2025 this blockade continued until finally being replaced by the sites run by the cynically named “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”. Death traps for those seeking aid.
Israel initially denied starvation. Some commentators even suggested disgracefully that Palestinians looked “too well fed”.
Now that starvation is undeniable, Israel is trying to deflect and blame anyone and everyone else for its actions and is now “allowing” air drops.
As the occupying power, Israel is responsible for the well-being of the civilians in Gaza, not the rump of Hamas or anyone else.
Netanyahu et al. claim to be doing all this “with God’s help” on behalf of the Jewish people.
Not in our name.

The Gazan war will have to end, and the press to gain free access in the territory before anything close to the truth about what happened to the food aid will be known. The two combatant sides and the UN are just putting out propaganda to protect their own interests now, and none of it can be trusted.

It’s hard to avoid the conclusion that Israel is committing genocide or near genocide in Gaza, and using false statements as part of its propaganda to retain support in the U.S. What’s more unbelievable is that many Americans accept these falsehoods no matter what, or, if they’re shown to be untrue (as is the case here), search for other ways to rationalize whatever Israel does regardless of international norms and human decency.

If Israel allowed enough food into Gaza, any food stolen by Hamas would have little value. It’s the scarcity that makes it valuable. Even so the article shows that there is no evidence of organized food theft by Hamas
Israel knows this, so their motivation for starving the Palestinians must be different. At best this is a war crime of using starvation against a civilian population. At worst it’s the start of genocide from starvation and the inevitable spread of disease in a weakened population.
The US can stop this any time we want, but we choose to support it.
History will not treat Israel or the US well after this.

Indeed. A lot of these leaders now condemning Israel are doing it before they get put on a list of Israeli War Criminals, just like the Nazi War Criminal List.
The solution seems so simple. Release the hostages.
Yet they won’t. Why? Maybe because they know Israel will fight on. After all, hamas’ founding documents state their goal is to destroy Israel, Jews, etc. What better way than to goad Israel into bombing Gaza flat in their fury, flood the zone with horror pictures, to try to get the whole world to hate and condemn Israel and hopefully wipe them out for them. Is it worth sacrificing a whole nation to achieve that goal? Apparently so. The only sure salvation in their religion is to die a “martyr”. (And what choice does the average person have, who was raised in that environment?)

I remember resolving to never waste my time debunking Pallywood ever again, knowing that it did nothing to stop the flow, and now it’s back on steroids. As I mentioned before, this essentially the same as lessons on how to use computers — and there are so many different people using them in different ways, there is no way to have one single set of lessons.
I did mention creating a Ventoy thumbdrive (with detailed instructions). I would recommend starting there as a means to bootstrap a Linux experience. Windows is an intentionally closed system and this leaves you groping around blindly to get things accomplished to make a system ready for Linux, where it’s quite easy to see and do things once you are running Linux.
As an example, Microsoft typically allows you to turn Windows Firewall on or off. Many Linux distros have ufw (Uncomplicated Fire Wall) available, where you can set your firewall to do what you want for different ports, protocols, and hosts. [It should be no great surprise that I begin with “default deny” for both incoming and outgoing traffic. This bricks my network connection. I then add individual ports for things I want the individual computer to do. There is a cool list of ports at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_TCP_and_UDP_port_numbers ]. There is a GUI wrapper for ufw called, naturally, gufw.
If you have a local friend with a Linux box, or have a cheap Linux box yourself (like a Raspberry Pi), then it is quick and easy to make a Ventoy stick. Unfortunately, it’s a bit of a complicated pain to make one in Windows.

Reading the Bible this morning, I saw this:

It seems that life is associated with light, and death with darkness. And I can attest, that before I was a believer I was not as “alive” as I am now. I don’t experience the world the same way I used to. I was blind, but now I see, I suppose. Like the lights came on.
An enlightening experience. 😀
No kidding, once you accept the Lord into your heart and you know what you know, it is like a light switch turning on. He accelerates understanding and wisdom.

“The Book of the Revelation of St. John consists of two principal divisions. 1. Relates to “the things which are,” that is, the then present state of the church, and contains the epistle of John to the seven churches, and his account of the appearance of the Lord Jesus, and his direction to the apostle to write what he beheld, ch. #1:9-20|. Also the addresses or epistles to seven churches of Asia. May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

I have never argued against the idea that geoengineering is being used against us. I don’t think I’ve ever commented about contrails or chemtrails.
I have acknowledged that cloud seeding has been going on for decades.
The one thing that I’m very skeptical about is the ability to steer hurricanes.
I seriously doubt you’ll see any hard data on the ability to steer hurricanes other than filling the in the gaps of information yourself and your going to have to look beyond simple cloud seeding and understand what the capabilities exist from a wide array of sciences that are now available coupled with the understanding of the Weather Modification Treaty from the 60’s and what can be gleaned as our continuous history of backtracking on that treaty and reestablishing programs to avoid public notice to achieve weather domination.
Yes, there is no hard data that I have seen. It comes down to how far one is willing to go to believe in the capabilities of mankind with no proof whatsoever.
There are people who will use evil for all sorts of purposes for their own benefit and goals. There is no question about that.
If one looks at circumstantial evidence, people will slant it to whichever way they want to believe. If a hurricane happens in an unusual place or at an unusual time or strikes twice in the same place in a short span of time, or whatever the case may be, that is often taken as “proof” that someone is pulling those strings. Yet natural disasters have occurred throughout time in unfortunate, damaging, deadly, and even “coincidental” ways, long before it was thought that man could control them.
This is not the same as fires. It is easy to start a fire to devastate an area so someone can step in and take over the land.
The other side of circumstantial evidence is to look at when hurricanes might have been used for the benefit of evildoers, but they were not. There are countless examples of this kind of negative evidence. And if we can speculate about man causing or steering hurricanes, we have to look at the other side as well.
One instance happened before the 2024 election. I was watching that one closely because so many people *knew* hurricanes could be steered. There was an “opportunity” to make a hurricane hamper voting efforts and possibly prohibit people from voting on election day, but that did not happen. Of course it will be said that that was not part of *their* plan, but they were not wise, then, to fail to use that capability since Donald Trump won.
While I am open to seeing real data about hurricanes if it becomes available (that is evidence, not speculation), I find that in general, most people are going to believe what they want to believe no matter what evidence is placed before them. I’ve seen that many, many times here over the years. I have debunked a number of false assumptions by providing provable evidence. At other times I’ve blown holes in a pet idea and/or presented alternative explanations, with no acknowledgement that my points might have some merit. Never “That’s a point that I hadn’t considered” or “I see what you mean” or “I’ll look into that” or anything like that. An actual conversation can’t be had because the situation consists of my presenting alternatives to an idea with no acknowledgment and only pushback. People dig in their heels and sometimes bring up something else to change the subject. It’s as if they would feel threatened if they had to recognize that what they’ve thought might be incorrect or might not be the whole story. It has been an eye-opener for me, and interesting to observe, that even here, the pursuit of truth has its limits according to what people are willing to see and to accept.
I think you are experiencing this with your posts about Israel and Gaza. I’m not commenting on that situation either because there is no way for me to know the truth and it becomes a pointless exercise for me. I imagine you think that people just will not look at the evidence you bring, and many won’t. For some, it’s because they have a fixed opinion and don’t want to face anything to the contrary. For me, and for some others, it’s as I said: there is no way to know the truth about every one of those memes and comments and photos because people have no scruples about manufacturing “evidence.” I don’t think a solution for peace in the Middle East will ever be reached. I know that there has been fault on both sides. Someone like Pres. Trump can broker peace deals, and that is good, but they will not last.
All of that to say this: the idea of steering hurricanes is not a subject I want to speculate about. I’m not going to jump on a bandwagon to support something that can’t be backed up with proof. Keep an open mind, yes, but not insist that it’s happening and even state definitively that it’s happening, which for me would be disingenuous.

We each have limited resources to get what we see as the truth, in front of others. For every subject, there are some minds here that can change, and others that can’t, or won’t. Not wasting that precious time is crucial to each of us.
There are also others reading this site who might see something they hadn’t considered before.
There have been times in the past when certain ideas have been pushed and, surprisingly, people jumped on the bandwagon because they liked someone or thought they were a good person and therefore trustworthy in their thinking. IMO alternative points of view that point out logical fallacies and attempt to get to truth are needed (others might disagree). If this site turned into one that takes every conspiracy as gospel truth, ignoring any and all evidence to the contrary, I would not want to be here. I sincerely hope we have not lost one of our members who has expressed similar views.
The only person who you can ultimately force to be logical is yourself.

Yes, of course.
I might not be a good person to ask because I have never been in favor of ignoring people altogether. I have learned from every person here and would not place anyone on ignore. If I disagree on one topic, there are others that I can gain from, and even the disagreed-upon topics are thought-provoking.
I don’t know, but i would think that if one were ignoring someone’s comments, other people’s responses to those comments might not make sense.
So IMO an ignore button might hurt the site, but others might have different opinions.

You said she (or a double) was wearing the same shoes when exiting the apartment, and I showed that she wasn’t. But you had no comment about that. Not “Thanks for pointing that out” or “I’ll take a look at that” or even “Looks like I was mistaken about that”; no, just pushing, pushing, pushing no matter what has been said.
You said she ALWAYS had a body double at the ready, dressed exactly as she was, and I pointed out the infeasibility of that and also showed that, if that had been the case, the “double” exiting the apartment would have indeed had the same shoes. But again, no comment from you about that. No discussion about the ideas I presented about having a double for every appearance Hillary made. Just ignoring it all.
I also noted that the existence of an identically dressed double that day could have prevented the entire “side of beef” episode. But no follow-through on that thought, no comment, nada.
So this is Exhibit A of what I was saying: It doesn’t matter what evidence and ideas are presented, some people will not have a conversation about them or even acknowledge their existence. What I presented about the shoes was fact, not opinion. And what I said about having a double for every single appearance was logical and reasonable. But in my experience, some people will not go down the “logical and reasonable” path to flesh out theories because they run into roadblocks that they don’t want to face.
Of course no one is required to address any evidence I present or ideas that I express. They can, and often do, refuse to do so while staying entrenched in a point of view for which contrary evidence has been presented. Websites about geoengineering don’t provide proof unless they address the topic specifically, with real evidence, but since no one ever brings anything approaching that here, I’m assuming there is no evidence.

Knowledge that science has advanced is not proof. If that were the case, we could all claim that cancer has been cured because science has advanced over the past decades, so it must be so. When a government related entity enhances with seeding (aerosol spraying tech) the storm takes different form than naturally occurring storms do. Do you at least agree with that? That means you cannot use existing scientific knowledge about weather to make judgments about unnaturally occurring or enhanced weather events. If you do not believe that, The conversation ends.

With Helene the “storm” did not dissipate over a large land mass as Hurricanes do when they run out of fuel (water – oceans, seas, etc.). The recon flight summary in the report stops recording flights at landfall at the Big Bend. That is where DARPA and contractors take over the seeding – such as the recent one in Texas that was acknowledged in the public domain by Rainmaker.
So a diminished hurricane at landfall retains an eye that makes it 300 straight line miles to Macon, GA all on its own – which never has happened for anywhere near that distance since the NHC began doing reports on them going back to 1958, especially for a CAT 4. It then just rears back and dumps 1.5-2.5 feet of rain on its own over a mountain range due north of the eye?
If you can buy that can happen naturally, this conversation ends.

15 “The five thousand cubits in width that remain, along the edge of the twenty-five thousand, shall be for general use by the city, for dwellings and common-land; and the city shall be in the center. 16 These shall be its measurements: the north side four thousand five hundred cubits, the south side four thousand five hundred, the east side four thousand five hundred, and the west side four thousand five hundred. 17 The common-land of the city shall be: to the north two hundred and fifty cubits, to the south two hundred and fifty, to the east two hundred and fifty, and to the west two hundred and fifty. 18 The rest of the length, alongside the district of the holy section, shall be ten thousand cubits to the east and ten thousand to the west. It shall be adjacent to the district of the holy section, and its produce shall be food for the workers of the city. 19 The workers of the city, from all the tribes of Israel, shall cultivate it. 20 The entire district shall be twenty-five thousand cubits by twenty-five thousand cubits, foursquare. You shall set apart the holy district with the property of the city.
21 “The rest shall belong to the prince, on one side and on the other of the holy district and of the city’s property, next to the twenty-five thousand cubits of the holy district as far as the eastern border, and westward next to the twenty-five thousand as far as the western border, adjacent to the tribal portions; it shall belong to the prince. It shall be the holy district, and the sanctuary of the [a]temple shall be in the center. 22 Moreover, apart from the possession of the Levites and the possession of the city which are in the midst of what belongs to the prince, the area between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin shall belong to the prince.
23 “As for the rest of the tribes, from the east side to the west, Benjamin shall have one section; 24 by the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west. Simeon shall have one section; 25 by the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west, Issachar shall have one section; 26 by the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west, Zebulun shall have one section; 27 by the border of Zebulun, from the east side to the west, Gad shall have one section; 28 by the border of Gad, on the south side, toward the [b]South, the border shall be from Tamar to the waters of Meribah by Kadesh, along the brook to the Great Sea. 29 This is the land which you shall divide by lot as an inheritance among the tribes of Israel, and these are their portions,” says the Lord God.
