*waves hi to Steve*
Voice of the Martyrs invites us to pray.

Dec. 20, 2018 | Cuba
Believers at a church in Cuba are making sure their church building remains occupied at all times to prevent authorities from demolishing it. The building, a garage that was donated to the house-church group years ago, cannot gain legal registration through the government. The house church has worshiped in the building for eight years, but the government has recently increased pressure on the church to close.
Pray that believers in this house church will remain committed to Christ despite government pressure.

Thanks, TTT. Shall pray for them and other persecuted believers in Jesus Christ. (waving to Steve, glad you cam over here from the old Treehouse).

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

We’ve now got two Steves here (the other being Steve From Lewes or something similar to that [sorry if I mangled it]), but I’ll assume that’s me you’re talking about and wave back.

singularZoe

It is, indeed, Steve in Co. Also welcome to the other Steve.

wheatietoo

Out of all the images that the DOD could have tweeted out…they chose this one.

wheatietoo

Didn’t someone say that we should…”Watch the water”…?

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I’m telling this from memory, so please don’t quote me (and possibly spread something mildly false).
I remember the story of the Commandant of the Marine Corps going around to all the posts near Washington DC and dropping off home baked cookies for the individuals who had to pull guard duty on Christmas Day. He got to one base, and asked who the officer of the day was, and the reply was “Colonel Mattis, Sir!”
“Private, I asked who the officer of the day was, not the name of the base commander.”
“Yes, sir, it’s Colonel Mattis, sir!”
And sure enough then-Colonel Mattis walked into the room.
It turns out he, being unmarried, had taken the duty so the man who would ordinarily have the duty could spend Christmas with his family.
A good man. A very good man, indeed. Semper Fi, General!

wheatietoo

Heheh…Grassley was waiting for that pen.
No way was he gonna leave without it!

.
The Post Office and USPS shipping will not be affected either…per report on Fox.

wheatietoo

Yep.
Potus hasn’t said when he will leave for Mar A Lago…Melania & Barron are already down there.
Since a lot of congress weasels have already fled the scene of the crime, and left town…it doesn’t look like anything is going to get resolved till after the holidays.

Gudthots

I get the feeling some of them are going to be on planes back to D.C. a.s.a.p.

Gudthots
wheatietoo

Eh…I don’t agree with ‘Demi Wu’ in that assessment.
She makes it sound like we are in a weakened position.
Which I don’t think is the case.
Our guys kicked ISIS’s butt and it was time to do a hand-off to the Saudi special forces.
Prince MBS and the GCC can take it from here.

Gudthots

I think there are shades of meaning to it.
Messages to many players.
And yes, business done in Syria seems true now.
And homeland needing our attention also feels true.

wheatietoo

“…shades of meaning to it.”
______
Yeah, Demi Wu belittles our President’s motives for bringing home some of our troops.
Declares that he’s doing it because “he believes” the country is under attack.
(Translation: Trump crazy. Country in chaos.)
Then says that because of this, the country and our military is in “no position” to act in “support of foreign policy or military objectives”.
(Translation: Trump’s chaos has hurt our military.)
The more I read that tweet, TTT…the more it seems like a part of the false ‘Chaos Narrative’ that is being pushed on us right now.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Replying up here so you’ll see it, Wheatie, but this is really for your comment about “the more I read it.”
Yeah, it most certainly starts with the subtle trolling, something a reasonable person can read and say, “yeah that makes some sense” without realizing that the mental groundwork has been laid for the hair-on-fire chaos narrative.

wheatietoo

Yes, exactly, Steve.

daughnworks247

I was thinking/hoping PDJT would start tweeting at 4am, “Wake up, Congress, we have work to do” or words to that effect.

From Matt Gaetz’s site, press release:

:
:
The House and Senate have both passed an extension of the National Flood Insurance Program until May 2019, so, pending President Trump’s signature, flood insurance coverage will not lapse.
Here are how other agencies and departments will be affected (or not) by the shutdown:
Mail will continue as usual
Social Security checks will be mailed as usual
Medicare and Medicaid coverage will continue like normal
TSA agents will still work, and flights will stay on schedule
HUD housing voucher payments will continue
HUD grants will continue
Ginnie Mae will continue to guarantee mortgage securities
The Federal Housing Administration will slow its loan processing and approval; new loan applications may be paused
EPA emergency cleanup projects will continue
USDA will continue to inspect meat, poultry, and eggs
Federal courts will remain open (for about three weeks, but by that point the shutdown should be resolved)
Railroad inspectors will continue to work
Amtrak will continue to run
Highway toll booths, because they are primarily staffed by state employees, will continue normal operations

wheatietoo

Matt Gaetz is a great guy, isn’t he.
I wish we had a hundred like him!
Pres Trump has been planning for this, should it happen…and is making it as painless as possible for everybody.
We learned when Bill Clinton shut down the govt, that the President can authorize ’emergency funding’ for the various agencies that they deem essential.
For example…Clinton funded the Agriculture Dept, because that was who was in charge of Food Stamps.
Our VSG has been thinking all year about this ‘shutdown’.
He knew these weasels would probably do this.

prairie123

He really is a Very Stable Genius. I’m sure he’s been thinking about this for quite some time. Considering the last time things like this happened. He was not pleased about signing the last CR bill, but it took care of the military (am I remembering this correctly?).
It’s just like the congress critters to do this too, right before the holidays… grrrrrrr.

OKaaaaay!!! It’s pure solid Osmium! Only the best for our man Trump!

While reading David McCullough’s book “1776” a couple of years ago, I became convinced that the Battle of Trenton on the morning of December 26th, 1776 was nothing short of a miracle. The American Revolution was hanging by a thread in the days leading up to it, on the verge of failure.
“No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the invisible hand which conducts the affairs of men more than the people of the United States. Every step by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency.”
– George Washington
Here’s a short article from December 19th, 2011 detailing the miracle aspect of the Battle of Trenton:

Do you recall the stories of bullet holes in the great General Washington’s clothing, but he was unharmed? Stunning illustration of Divine protection.

itswoot

At the Battle of Trenton?
I don’t recall reading of that occurring in any of George Washington’s battles, so it is new to me. But I may have just forgotten.
I remember reading that during the Continental Army retreat at New York City, Washington rode out on his horse during battle to the front lines and greatly exposed himself to being shot.

Elizabeth Carter

In His Divine Providence, God has given us President Donald J. Trump to lead us. We are in the Storm now.
Washington decided to risk a surprise attack on the Hessian forces encamped in Trenton. To do so, he had to lead 2,400 men across the Delaware River, through the night, battling a current strong with ice floes. He then had to march down snow-covered roads, and do so without the British learning of his movements. So oppressive were the driving rain, snow, hail and sleet that only one of his three units was able to complete its mission. Yet, this same inclement weather also concealed them and aided in their approach. The Hessian commander discontinued his routine scouting patrols because he believed that the stormy weather would preclude any attack from the Americans, whom he called, “country clowns.”
http://providentialhistoryfestival.com/219/washingtons-christmas-miracle/
About the time you were posting this, I woke up this Scripture on my mind:
Hebrews 1
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
And this song for the Storm:

Gudthots

Love that scripture!

Sylvia Avery

There was so much going on. I heard this and if floated through my consciousness as oh WOW moment but was immediately replaced by something else new and shocking and I totally forgot about it.
But really, this is huge. How has it not gotten any traction? Never mind, I know….

Sylvia Avery

No, they cannot. We have had criminals in charge who have sold out our country’s secrets either for money, or because of ideology, or both. They have left us vulnerable to defeat and destruction by their acts. And who knows what kind of thuggery and gangsterism they have perpetuated with the power of the US behind them?
Also, having the criminals in charge and then walking away without consequences would be poison. It is another kind of national vulnerability. As much as anything America is an idea and if people quit believing in the idea we cease to exist. And the people are losing faith BIGLY in our system of government and ideas of justice.
We might be a forgiving nation and one who typically believes in redemption. But you have to have repentance to earn redemption. To give us any kind of faith in the system we have to see that it does still work, so there are people who will have to be held to account.
I believe it will happen. I believe it won’t be perfect, and I believe many of us will be disappointed because we feel it won’t have gone far enough and not everyone will end up paying the full freight for their crimes. But it has to look at least something like equal justice under the law or I hate to think of the consequences.

gingersmom2009

Must confess, I copied it too. 😀

daughnworks247

Sometimes, the words just have to come out.
In three days, we will celebrate the birth of Christ. He died for our sins, and carried with him the greatest burden in all of humanity. All over the world, we will gather together to celebrate this event. We decorate our homes, give each other gifts, and prepare a feast for friends and family…, yet we often lose site of the burden Christ carried for us all. Christ washed away our sins, in particular pride, greed, envy, and wrath.
Today in America, our government, the Congress of the United States of America, is focused on “blame” for a shutdown. The USA is an unusual nation in that we are the only country in the world where our rights, as citizens, were endowed by God, and can never be taken away by any man nor government. Like the death of Christ and his greatest gift, we often lose site of how fortunate we are as Americans to live freely. We should be humbled and grateful. Among all other nations, we are blessed with rights for all citizens.
For those in government who seek to lay “blame” for current conflict, if their PRIDE is in the way, I shall stand and accept the blame. I am a lowly woman, an ordinary American wife and mother, yet I rise with courage and conviction to defend my nation, community, and home. I will accept the burden of blame. I am neither special nor Godly, but I am an American.
Our country is in peril. My country is no longer safe and I demand satisfaction from our leaders. This is my right.
While Congress bickers and seeks to blame, stop, or resist our President to score a political win, I see the problems of illegal immigration in my community. The people are desperate for solutions and relief from the problems of illegal immigration.
I see hundreds of tradespeople out of work. They are native born Americans who were proud of their craft but replaced by illegals who work for cash at slave wages. These once proud men now take odd jobs when customers seek quality work but these are the men who used to own companies, pay taxes, and hire people.
Our schools are overflowing with citizens from other nations, to the detriment of our American children. In the past 20 years, my property taxes have risen 545% to defray the costs of government’s ill-conceived and overly generous legal/illegal immigration policies. We cannot sustain these taxes and the breakdown of our schools weakens all of America.
The little Catholic Church in my neighborhood was started by my inlaws. The family worked with others as the church grew and thrived over decades. Yet, my friends no longer attend. My girlfriends are made to feel uncomfortable, leered at, in church.
The last time I attended, there was a lovely children’s program…. at Christmas. One American child stood with 27 children of illegals. As I left, I walked past the church organ and brushed my hand along the keys. The organ was a gift to the church, raised with funds dedicated to the memory of my father-in-law. I shall never go back. My little church is lost, yet church doctrine still supports illegals rather than Americans. My church is dependent on federal dollars to ‘resettle’ immigrants and refugees, legal and illegal.
As my grandmother before me, I volunteer at our local rural hospital and I sit on the Board of Directors. Over 25 years, we fought hard to keep it open, personally recruiting physicians, and filling in to help where needed. In the past year, we lost our emergency room. Annually, we suffer a 26% cost write-off because of duty bound care for illegals and the inability to be reimbursed for said expenses. We could no longer support the financial losses. Losing an emergency room threatens the lives of our citizens as the closest emergency room is now, another 20 minutes away. The impact seriously affects our community and our ability to attract new industry, more jobs, to our locale.
Our community lost two large factories over the last 20 years, employing 2247 people in a town of 8000 and a county of 25000. One factory went to Malaysia and the other went to Mexico. The payroll from the 2247 employees supported the tax base for municipal employees, schools, police, courts, and our fire department. Yes, NAFTA was bad policy for America.
We are a generous town. I started the United Way in my county and raised millions for our local charities, among them, a domestic violence shelter. Today, 77% of the shelter is filled with illegal immigrants, citizens of foreign nations. We have to turn away American women and their American children.
Illegal immigration also presents a problem with a rise of an underground economy. When people are paid in cash, the wages are never taxed. People barter for services and goods. Society breaks down, and crime rises.
Drugs, more deadly than ever before, creep into the community.
And still, our leaders bicker about a funding a Border Wall. As ludicrous as it sounds, one political party thinks I’m not compassionate enough. They fiddle while our communities burn. They are either inept, blind, or they are purposely destroying America.
Yes, we need a Border Wall.
Yes, we need to end “Catch and Release”
Yes, we need to end “Chain Migration”
Yes, we need an effective system to stop Visa overstays.
Yes, it is absurd to provide an incentive for pregnant women to travel to America, enter illegally, that their child receive the full benefits of all Americans
“Your poor, your tired, your huddled masses, yearning to breathe free” did not mean, “Sneak in via loopholes and immediately apply for welfare”.
The sins are causing our leaders problems.
Pride- is in the way for those who cannot allow a competitor a perceived win, means you cannot lead, nor are you benevolent. Our President has put many offers on the table over the past 2 years, all rebuffed by the opposing party.
Greed – is in the way by wanting to keep control at all costs
Lust – the lust for power and fame by politicians and pundits is overriding common sense solutions.
Gluttony – our government taxes citizens excessively yet clings to the purse for the most basic of protections.
Envy – for power, for riches, to be able to dictate who among us will share in America’s prosperity or oversee our purposeful demise.
Wrath – has no place here when resolving problems, yet we see plenty of wrath, personal attacks, and venom.
Sloth – most of all, sloth.
Our elected leaders should have solved the problem of illegal immigration 40 years ago.
To our politicians and elected leaders, I say:
Blame me and curse me, the lowly woman, but fix the problem of illegal immigration on my behalf. Our President tried to accept the blame because BLAME is not the issue. The issue is protection of the American people.
To Congress, I say
Do your duty on behalf of the citizens of America.
“Do this in remembrance of me” – the regular American.

Sylvia Avery

Gulp. Daughnworks. I’m not sure what to say other than I feel what you feel about my own community and knowing that it is lost to me. The symbols of that loss, the church that your family built, the organ they donated, all the efforts that go into making a community. And I want to fight to get it back.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

The USA is an unusual nation in that we are the only country in the world where our rights, as citizens, were endowed by God, and can never be taken away by any man nor government.

I must take a bit of exception to this.
We aren’t the only ones with the rights.
Everyone has them, from the zillionaire on Wall Street to the poorest dust farmer in sub-Saharan Africa.
What is exceptional about America is that we were the only country founded on explicit recognition of those rights.

daughnworks247

“endowed by our Creator”, so they cannot be removed is unique, right?

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

But the point is–EVERY man, world wide, has inalienable rights. Not just those in the US. Your phrasing indicates that that’s only true here.
What’s exceptional here is that we’re the only place with a government that recognizes them.

daughnworks247

From the article – sent with a big bear hug, no controversy.
” The declaration teaches that all men have natural rights prior to the formation of government; in fact, they were given those rights by their creator. Just government is instituted with the consent of the governed for the purpose of protecting these inalienable natural rights.
In the Magna Carta, by contrast, the rights the people possess are granted by the sovereign. In Article 1, using the royal “we,” the Magna Carta asserts that the royal sovereign has seen fit to “grant and give to all the freemen of our realm for ourselves and our heirs in perpetuity the liberties written below.”
In this conception of political rule, rights are merely exceptions from the general grant of power held by the king. And though the language of the Magna Carta stresses the liberties it lays out are to be secured in “perpetuity,” shortly after it was signed, Pope Innocent III annulled it at King John’s request.”
https://www.dailysignal.com/2015/06/22/how-the-declaration-of-independence-differs-from-the-magna-carta/
I luv ya’ Steve, and miss it when you don’t post first.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Cool, love you back.
I was with family last night at 10:30 (mountain time) so of course I couldn’t post first. Other times of late, I’ve just been too tired to stay up waiting for the daily thread. (When I doze off with my contacts in, I’m in deep trouble. Not supposed to do that with these contacts, and I can’t see well without them (glasses alone cannot correct my vision issues).
Anyhow, being a non-believer, I won’t agree with the typical Christian patriot on where my rights come from–I think they’re a consequence of being volitional rational beings…but that’s OK, I can get along with anyone who doesn’t think they’re a grant from government or “society.”
Government or society can simply take away what they grant, and it’s not a violation. Taking something that’s inherent to you, is a violation.
What I was originally trying to do was to nudge you towards saying the US recognized rights as preexisting (as in the DOI), and is the ONLY country to do so…rather than saying we’re the only country where people have rights.
I definitely prefer the DOI to the Magna Carta. The Magna Carta’s attitude towards rights is shared by every other country in the world except us (and many here accept it too…ecch!) and is factually wrong. It may seem like a minor distinction to some, but it’s a big deal to me, so I tend to react when I catch even a whiff of it on a site filled with people who think right about politics. It’s poison, as much so as the chaos meme, and all the other crap the Left shovels.
Anyhow, see you around the Q Tree, Adorable Deplorable DaughnWorks!

NebraskaFilly

Thank you, Steve. I hesitate to post this comment but feel I must. I am HIGHLY uncomfortable with any effort to join religion with civil governance. IT IS WRONG!!!! Do we seriously WANT to be a political theocracy? I think not!!!!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Agreed, emphatically.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

…however, the point I was trying to make (and that daughnworks seems to have missed) is that it’s wrong to claim that ONLY Americans have the inalienable rights (be they grants from God or inherent in human nature). I.e., God didn’t just grant those rights to Americans (to put it in those terms). The Declaration of Independence said “All Men” (which in the language of the time meant “All People”) not “Americans.”

gingersmom2009

I don’t think she’s missed anything. At all.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

She said, twice, that only Americans have inalienable rights. That’s a crock.

plateaufortrump

Now we know why you were banned at CTH

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Hey, I will stop responding when people stop misrepresenting the Declaration of Independence and the Founders’ conception of the rights of man.
All men–all people–have inalienable rights. Not just Americans.
If someone wants to ban me for insisting on that, they can go to Hell.

daughnworks247

You can say they do but other countries Constitutions and lack of a pesky Bill of Rights does not.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

The bill of rights doesn’t grant rights, it recognizes they are there and forbids the government from infringing on them.
As I said, what’s exceptional about the US is that our government is built on a recognition of the rights we have as people.
That is the meaning of the phrases in the Declaration of Independence, following “We hold these truths to be self evident.” EVERYONE, American and non-American, is born with those rights. Governments can and do infringe on them, but that doesn’t mean we do not, as human beings (NOT as Americans) possess those rights.

singularZoe

Steve, I have to agree with Daughn on this, because rights are granted by God, and God protects those rights, but He can withdraw His protection, and I recommend the book, The Law byFrederic Bastiat. I certainly cannot imagine you would be banned because you disagree, at least as long as everyone remains civil. Societies that live under common law are truly blessed. Much of the world does not. It is not that we think we are better nor do we think that simply being American means we are better. At least I don’t think so, but I know I have been blessed to have been born here.

daughnworks247

I think we’ve all had enough banning to last a lifetime.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Having to reply to myself when I am really trying to reply to Zoe:
As I read your reply, I’m thinking…but that’s what *I’m* saying, not what *she* was saying! Then I got to the part about God withdrawing his protection…and I suppose I can’t reconcile that because I’m not a believer.
I’m not sure Daughn was talking about that point in particular. But if she was, I can’t agree with it. Either way, that notion wasn’t really what I was responding to, but I’ll expound anyway: We have a rights-respecting government here because our ancestors believed in it and fought for it, and generations from them down to us have exerted some vigilance in keeping it that way (though much has been lost). It helps, too (it helps a lot!) that our ancestors did their best to bake a theory of natural rights into our Constitution, but it’s important to remember a constitution is only as good as the population that (is supposed to) uphold it. People interested only in controlling others and using governmental force to loot others have been trying to put chinks in the constitutional armor ever since, and they’ve often succeeded.
As I said elsewhere, I’ve no political quibble with those who say our rights come from God, because, politically to me the key thing is that rights were not granted by any human agency. Not government, not “society”, not a “social construct.” And thus, government, society, the parlor commie, that jerk neighbor down the street, have no business trying to wipe rights out of existence.
(Conversely, if rights were a government grant, the government could take them away, and nothing would be wrong with that, because it would be their prerogative. The proper word would be privilege, not right. Privileges can be granted and taken away.)
In fact, the only proper role for government is the protection of the rights of the people in its territory. (That’s the “truth we hold self-evident” that isn’t quoted that often today, unfortunately–because I believe 90 percent of Americans, yes, including many of Trump’s supporters, would insist that the government has some role in re-distributing wealth.)

singularZoe

Feeling a bit muddled as I’ve been awake since 3 a.m., but as to your last point about government, Steve, I think you are probably right.

gingersmom2009

We all have the blessings from our creator, Americans actually have the rights REALIZED.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Yes, that’s the point.

gingersmom2009

My point was that that’s what she meant.

daughnworks247

The King granted rights in the Magna Carta. The King was “of God”. We took our rights directly from God. Profound difference and done on purpose.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

The central point of the American Revolution was that government (not even a king) doesn’t grant rights, we are born with them. Though a government can surely violate them.

prairie123

Daughworks… can I copy and paste this and send it to my congressmen/woman? Your words so clearly state everything that I am thinking and feeling about immigration. I may not have the exact story that you do (where you live, your family history of working for the local hospital or church), but other parts ring very true for me! We all could use your letter to tell congress what we all encounter everyday and how we are so tired of carrying the cost for illegals that I can see our own Yellow Vest moment coming if they do not fix the loop holes soon!

I just watched the signing of the Step One Prison Reform Act on President Trumps Twitter. It was so wonderful. It is 58 minutes and time well spent. I had tears running down my face a lot of times. This is something that has needed to be done for a very long time.
Watching people from all different walks of life express their gratitude and respect for how President Trump and Jared Kushner handled this problem and got it done was awesome.
Even the man who worked for Van Jones said that when they heard that Trump would be President, they figured this would never get done was so impressed with how the problem was handled and consensus was reached and the Act was passed was wonderful to see.
This is how government should work. President Trump is so awesome. I don’t see how the National Press Corpse can trash him all the time.
He is giving lessons to the world in what a functioning Government of We the People looks like.

Elizabeth Carter

President Trump was bringing people together in ways I have seldom seen in my life. He never said, Look what I did. He said Look what we did together.

Thoughts, anyone? (This is not my specialist subject.)
https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-military/2018/12/21/mattis-is-out-and-blackwater-is-back-we-are-coming/
‘This article has been edited to clarify that Constellis no longer trains forces at Camp Integrity and that Blackwater, if it returns, would not have a connection to Constellis.
‘Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis is out.
‘Mattis’ resignation comes amid news that President Donald Trump has directed the drawdown of 2,000 U.S. forces in Syria, and 7,000 U.S. forces from Afghanistan, a U.S. official confirmed to Military Times, a story first reported by the Wall Street Journal.
‘This month, in the January/February print issue of the gun and hunting magazine “Recoil,” the former contractor security firm Blackwater USA published a full-page ad, in all black with a simple message: “We are coming.”
‘Is the war in Afghanistan — and possibly elsewhere ― about to be privatized?
‘If Blackwater returns, it would be the return of a private security contractor that was banned from Iraq, but re-branded and never really went away. By 2016 Blackwater had been re-named and restructured several times, and was known at the time as Constellis Group, when it was purchased by the Apollo Holdings Group. Reuters reported earlier this year that Apollo had put Constellis up for sale, but in June the sale was put on hold.
‘A representative for Constellis told Military Times late Friday that while it had acquired the former Blackwater training center in the 2016 purchase, it has no affiliation with the former security firm. It did not retain Blackwater’s founder and former CEO Erik Prince and has no current connection to him, or the firm’s former management structure.
‘The Recoil ad suggests Blackwater is making a resurgence on its own, but it was not clear in what form. The public affairs firm that handles Prince’s media engagements told Military Times Friday that he would not be able to speak beyond what was in the media “at this stage.”
‘Prince has courted President Donald Trump’s administration since he took office with the idea that the now 17-year Afghan War will never be won by a traditional military campaign. Prince has also argued that the logistical footprint required to support that now multi-trillion dollar endeavor has become too burdensome. Over the summer and into this fall Prince has engaged heavily with the media to promote the privatization; particularly as the Trump administration’s new South Asia Strategy, which was crafted with Mattis, passed the one-year mark …’

daughnworks247

Click. That makes sense. Now, I understand why I’ve been seeing articles disparaging Prince. Puzzle is complete.

She has several yachts that 8 chan has speculated may be being used as safe houses for whistleblowers.
Blackwater has handled Trump security at his hotels and Mar a Lago for a very long time. There is a relationship there that must be very good. President Trump has been under constant assassination threats and surveillance attempts even before his election.
From the time Trump came down the elevator, the DS – Deep State – Dark Side? was trying to get rid of him.
They figured they could humiliate him and his family into submission, then as the Trump Train gained steam, and Lawfare didn’t work, it looked like assassination was the only way.
Prince has protected Trump along with the SS. I would trust Blackwater and Eric Prince over any of the Alphabet agencies until we get this mess cleaned up. If you remember, the SS backed off so JFK could be shot.
President Trump’s people are not in it for the money, they are in it for us.

It is unbelievable and scary that a drone flying around one of England’s busiest airports could stop flights for 33 hours. Police have arrested a man and a woman. The London Evening Standard Friday headline (paper edition) posited that it was an IS operation.
https://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/pair-arrested-over-gatwick-drone-chaos-revealed-as-middleaged-man-and-women-from-nearby-town-a4024256.html
‘The two people arrested over the Gatwick drone chaos have been revealed as a 47-year-old man and 53-year-old woman from a nearby town.
‘The pair, from Crawley in West Sussex, were arrested in the town around five miles from the airport on Friday night.
‘Sussex Police said the pair are being held on suspicion of “disrupting services of civil aviation aerodrome to endanger or likely to endanger safety of operations or persons”…
‘Military equipment was used on Friday to stop further drone disruption while a range of tactics are in place if any unmanned aircraft are seen inside the perimeter.
‘One piece of equipment believed to have been deployed at the airport is the Israeli-developed Drone Dome system, which can detect drones using radar.
‘It can also jam communications between the drone and its operator, enabling authorities to take control of and land the device.’

wheatietoo

I guess the thought of bringing down the drones with sniper fire never occurred to them.

churchmouse

I think they wanted to keep everyone as safe as possible, but I really don’t know.

wheatietoo

Sure, but…All the planes were grounded, right?
Snipers would only be firing at targets…in the air.
Little unmanned targets.
I don’t see how that would be ‘unsafe’ for anyone except the drones.

Gudthots

Been thinking about that.
Lots of Jet Fuel at an airport.
Some of it in planes with people on them.
You want to be very sure where your target is going to fall/glide/land.

Molly Pitcher

This article said~~~~ But his boss insisted he had been working when the drone attacks were taking place and said he would be shocked if he had anything to do with the incident.
John Allard, who runs Allard Double Glazing in Crowborough, said: “Paul normally comes in around 7.45am and I remember on those days he then worked late on site on a fitting job. I don’t think it can be him. He was busy on site working when it was happening.”
One of his neighbours, who asked not to be named said: “Paul is very hard working. He works for a window fitting company and usually leaves home around 7am every day and does not get back home until 6pm.
“He used to race remote control cars up and down the road and then got into drones but I have not seen him flying one for more than a year.
https://news.yahoo.com/gatwick-drone-identities-arrested-couple-154935292.html
Throws a different light on it maybe. Either he was working at the time or he wasn’t.

OK this is TOTALLY off topic but I am so very sick of women using Botox. Can we please go back to having facial expressions? I mean, I get the whole keeping your youth desire, I get the impulse for both men and women to have “work” done but there are other ways of doing this that actually regenerate collagen and improve skin health.

NebraskaFilly

Oh, my – agree completely! IMO, we should wear our wrinkles in honor of our history that created them! Whatever happened to people “aging gracefully?” And Laura’s lips!!!!! Yech!!!!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

A few honest wrinkles isn’t a bad thing. Frozen plastic faces with puffy lips…yeccch.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I saw a movie with Angelina Jolie many, many years ago. Very shapely but her lips were obviously puffed up, much overdone, and you could tell because the very centerline of the lips was NOT as full as the rest, it looked a bit like two links of sausage or a balloon pinched in the middle. Very offputting; it more than canceled out her other physical…attributes in my (testosterone influenced) mind.

prairie123

Oh my goodness~ Is that why she looks different but still kind of the same?? I feel sorry for her. This is not what normal women do.. and yes, whatever happened to Laura Ingraham’s lips? It’s like she left for vacation and came back just a little off…

Elizabeth Carter

I went to a dinner with friends and all of the people at the table were discussing their use of Botox. I have never used it and can’t imagine wanting to use it. When I was 2 1/2, I got polio and was totally paralyzed for 6 weeks. Gradually, I started healing. It took years. I didn’t really know how bad it was until I went to a Chiropractor for the first time when I was 29. He said to me you had polio. I asked how he knew that. He said because you have a whole different muscle system than most people. I asked if the polio was why it took me 6 months of daily hard practice in the basement in 4th grade to learn to roller skate and 3 months in the summer working everyday to learn to ride a bike when my children did those things in a few hours. He said that was because I had to develop a new muscle system to do it, but those two things made me able to do most things. I said that I still cannot get up to water ski. He said that is a different set of muscles and asked if it was really worth it to me to go through all that. I said no and since I lived in CA at the time, I decided to just settle for being “flag girl” for the fallen skiers.
My Granddaughter was paralyzed with Infant Botulism at 5 months and was not expected to live. By the grace of God, she healed, is not crippled and is a Nurse now.
When people talk to me about using a paralytic drug to make themselves look a little younger, I can’t even imagine taking that risk for any reason.
When I lived in CA, it was the rage to use silicon to fill in areas that were beginning to show wrinkles. My bosses wife was rich. I was 43 then. I asked her if she thought I should do that. She said, watch the women on TV and in movies. When they smile, if a wrinkle should go in and instead pops out, that is a bad injection. It goes hard and it cannot be fixed. She said to never do that.
I was reading Ram Das a very long time ago when I still read those kinds of things. He said he sat down on a bus by a girl who could not have been more than 15, because her face was still the face she was born with and not the one she had earned.
I don’t know what is happening because I am 77 now and in the last year several women who had not seen me in a few years, looked at me and said, Wow, you are not aging and actually touched my face as if to see if it was real.
To everything, there is a season. At 77, I don’t want to be a Cher or Jane Fonda. I want to be what God intended for me to be and to do His will.
The best compliments I have received over the years is when people say, the more I see you, the more beautiful you are.

singularZoe

I did not mean to exhaust the coaster collection at the home park so soon, but, since our VSGPDJT is demonstrating what it means to be a boss when the rest of the employees are acting like they are in kindergarten, here is Boss.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Old school* and classic, a good contrast with the tube systems that have their virtues (including being able to invert and spiral).
*not to be confused with a certain individual on the Eeyore Tree.

Deplorable Patriot

Funny thing about Boss, when it was being tested, the trains that were ordered were not heavy enough to make it around the track. They had to use the ones from the Screamin’ Eagle for the debut.
Woodies still are popular even if the maintenance can be a pain. The one advantage is that if there is an issue that needs to be fixed but not on the spot, the ride can still run. If the issue causes the ride to stop, at least the riders are right side up. Some coaster derailed on an inversion once, and the riders were upside down for half an hour.

Gudthots

After my one year pass at Six Flags over Texas expired I spent a couple of years in Chiropractic care. Learned to stick with tube style coasters after that.

Comey possesses an eidetic memory as well as phonographic memory… he remembers anything he has seen or heard. He is lying when he says “I don’t remember.”
—————-
Eidetic memory (/aɪˈdɛtɪk/; sometimes called photographic memory) is an ability to recall images from memory vividly after only a few instances of exposure, with high precision for a brief time after exposure, without using a mnemonic device.

Deplorable Patriot

As I said yesterday, it’s a good thing Pope Saint John Paul II saw to it that the community of exorcists was revived. We’re going to need them.

churchmouse

Unless the Commie got rid of them.

Deplorable Patriot

By cannon law, he can’t. Each diocese is supposed to have one and who that person is is up to the bishop. What the commie can do, though, is restrict which Exorcism Liturgy to use. The exorcists have been using the old one because they claim the new one doesn’t work. That would be the danger.

churchmouse

Well, they can keep using the old liturgy. He won’t know.
Thanks for the info on Canon law (although I am confused as to what JPII brought back if the exorcism structure couldn’t be dismantled in the first place).

Deplorable Patriot

Exorcists were not being trained. It takes a certain kind of priest to do it. It is not easy at all. Father Gabriel Amorth, God rest him, was the one who really did the training of the group we have now, but it was at JPII’s direction. One infestation can take several Exorcisms as there are almost always a group on the attack. And I understand it is exhausting.

churchmouse

‘Exorcists were not being trained.’
But there is still no certainty that they are today, is there?
Today’s bishops refuse to authorise Latin Mass in their dioceses (at least here in the UK), so why would they be interested in exorcism — another relic from the past?

Deplorable Patriot

SInce there is an annual convention of exorcists, I would think so.
I’ll have to look it up, but I thought Benedict authorized a universal indult. Here in the US most bishops allow Latin. In fact, where I live, we have a handful of parishes that have it every day. If they are refusing in the UK, I couldn’t tell you what the issue is. We’ve had Latin continuously here in my archdiocese since it was reinstated in 1984.

churchmouse

You are fortunate.
British bishops are too left-wing liturgically and ideologically to allow Latin Mass. They never liked BXVI, either. That is the issue.

Deplorable Patriot

Probably part of the Gallup Group. Most of them are gone from the US.

Deplorable Patriot

I appreciate Kevin sharing information from his life experiences…
however, quoting reports from the media which spews propaganda is spreading propaganda.
I have known casually and talked to some who practice the ‘craft’ … they are mostly nature lovers… and they call themselves ‘witches’ while denouncing those they view as negative who practice what they call black or negative witchcraft. So, I have to wonder about the Yahoo article… who was actually surveyed? ‘Flower children’ or dark, satanic individuals?
From my own observation point, Christianity is NOT on the decline… rather there appears to be a shifting in Mainstream Churches toward more evangelical or whatever one wishes to term it. And that is GROWING.
I was in Ft. Worth, Texas this past week to see my granddaughter receive her Masters of Divinity from SW Baptist Theological Seminary. (Still tear up just thinking of the smile on her face as she walked across the stage.) She left Charlotte, N.C. and the ‘mega’ church she was involved in to pursue her calling. While she was in Charlotte, when I visited, I attended the ‘mega’ church many times and was stunned by the numbers of people attending any one of several services. I see the shift away from mainstream, as desire for more participatory, than spectator of mainstream churches, NOT away from Christianity. Grandaughter only one of hundreds receiving a degree. She is presently Children’s Minister at small church outside Ft. Worth area.

churchmouse

I hope you are right.
How blessed you are to see your granddaughter receive her MDiv!
How blessed your granddaughter is to have a God-fearing grandmother!

A very old, prestigious Presbyterian church in Colorado Springs (big building, half a block downtown) broke with their parent organization over ordaining either gays or women as pastors (I just don’t recall which one). We’re seeing “liberal” Christianity splitting off from more traditional forms, which occasionally involves a part of “liberal” Christianity breaking away from “liberal” Christianity and going back to tradition.

Sadly, this does NOT surprise me in the slightest. Soaring stress levels to blame in rise of criminality and illicit drug abuse. I think the enemy are preying on otherwise good men:

From the article:
‘ … Celebrated in Hollywood and in American popular culture, the image of the Special Operations Command has been tarnished by a string of serious accusations and public relations nightmares in recent months.
‘In the most notorious episode, two members of the famed SEAL Team 6 — Navy Petty Officer Anthony DeDolph and Chief Petty Officer Adam Cranston Matthews — face charges of felony murder, conspiracy, obstruction of justice, hazing and burglary in the death of Army Green Beret Staff Sgt. Logan Melgar in Bamako, Mali, last year. Published reports say the special ops fighters, along with two Marines, were attempting to silence Sgt. Melgar after he discovered they were stealing operational funds meant to gain intelligence on local terrorist groups.
‘Separately, a case is proceeding against Chief Petty Officer Edward Gallagher, accused of stabbing an Islamic State detainee to death during fighting in Mosul, Iraq, in 2016. Prosecutors allege that Chief Gallagher killed the man after other members of his SEAL team treated his injuries.
‘Roughly 20 SEALs and Navy officers have been implicated in Chief Petty Officer Gallagher’s case. He stands accused of premeditated murder and aggravated assault for reportedly shooting noncombatants during his time in Iraq. He is being held at the Naval Consolidated Brig Miramar in San Diego.
‘The Military Times also has reported this year on individual cases in which Special Forces personnel have been arrested on charges of drug-smuggling, spousal abuse and rape.
‘Pentagon officials and private analysts say the review will be in part a way to get a sense of the scale of the problem.
‘“I do not think you can say the entire community has a problem. That is a gross overstatement,” said Steven Bucci, a former battalion commander with the Army’s 5th Special Forces Group and a senior Defense Department official in the George W. Bush administration.
‘“There are some individuals that have some problems that have to be dealt with,” said Mr. Bucci, now a senior analyst with The Heritage Foundation. “We have had enough of these incidents … that are bordering on criminal. The impetus in the [command] is we have to deal with this quickly.”’

This is terrifying, but to be expected, I suppose. They are main-streaming the use of children’s blood as a “youth serum,” so that when the ugly truth comes out, people are desensitized:
“PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Could the secret to eternal youth be found in blood transfusions from young people? Some claim that transfusions with “young blood” from teenagers can reverse the aging process.
It’s being tested in patients over the age of 35 as part of a clinical trial called ambrosia, where people paid $8,000 to get the rich growth factors found in bloods plasma platelets.
“There are pretty much people from most states, people from overseas, people from Europe and Australia,” Dr. Jesse Karmazin said.
Results of the trial have not been published.”
https://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2018/12/20/controversial-treatment-transfuses-patients-with-young-blood-from-teenagers-to-reverse-aging-process/?fbclid=IwAR3tQGPQ7JUEYprBFOI3doH4a0G-39AUN7WCi_miR-iMxGOZcyIgpCvBFnU
When Pizzagate and the activities of the Cabal in this area are revealed, they will try to convince the public that it is “normal” to ingest/infuse children’s blood.
Tell everyone you know, spread the truth as far and wide as you can to the ones who will fall for it, NOW. Because when it all comes down, it will be too late. People may not want to believe you, they may call you a tinfoil hat person, but later, they will remember where they heard it first, and come asking questions.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Just don’t beat your brains out on the monitor. It’s not worth it!

From CTH (ladypenquin):
Ristvan, a retired lawyer, comments at CTH. I consider him wise and logical. He offered more insight (from yesterday’s SC thread)on Robert’s siding with the “liberal” judges. While I don’t like Roberts, I think Ristvan is correct. For your perusal:
December 21, 2018 at 5:17 pm
“Lurking Lawyer here. This ruling is both misunderstood and mischaracterized. And as an aside, Robert’s Obamacare decision will be what kills it when it reaches SCOTUS again based on part 2 not 3 of his masterful opinion, of which part four is most important for the future.
This ruling is not on the merits, proven by lack of an accompanying written opinion. It is procedural: whether to grant expedited certiorari, skipping the appeals court. IMO Chief Justice Roberts can ‘correctly’ side with the liberal faction on that narrow process question.
For those interested, expedited cert is governed by SCOTUS Rule 11. It is seldom granted, and those few cases establish a firm precedent not easily met in this specific asylum seeker case. Wiki has a decent layman’s discussion of the issue for those wishing to further educate themselves rather than just vent spleen about Roberts.”
December 21, 2018 at 6:28 pm
“Nope, neither said nor implied. You see black nd white, so apparently do not understand greyscale issues.
Rule 11 is a matter of SCOTUS judgement on ‘emergency’ fact questions, which otherwise they never get, NOT a Constitutional interpretation. There is no right or wrong.
The four conservatives wanted to be more aggressive concerning Rule 11 than precedent suggests. That would indicate to Dems and MSM a PDJT bias if they succeeded.
Roberts is chief. His biggest job is maintaining the exaulted ‘impartial final arbiter’ status of SCOTUS, hard won over more than two centuries starting with Marbury v. Madison—-which established that SCOTUS could review the constitutionality of Acts of Congress—while declining to do in that case (Marshall was then as clever as Roberts newish Obamacare opinion). (FYI, the alternative reading of the Constitution is that since Congress is also sworn to uphold the Constitution, their ‘decisions’ are NOT judicially reviewable (A1§8 and by negative inference §9— go reread foundational constitutional law Marbury v. Madison!!!).
So IMO Roberts knows a lot of PDJT stuff is coming to SCOTUS. He knows the Dems already hate that PDJT has two new justices, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh. His best optics. move is not to have SCOTUS seem to now always favor PDJT. And he can do that via Rule 11 prededent without tipping his constitutional hand. So he does. Smart move.”
December 21, 2018 at 10:28 pm
“B, with all due respect, you still misconstrue. The issue is NOT whether the 9th Circuit judge was correct. The issue is whether the resulting situation is so grave that SCOTUS should nullify normal (9th Circuit) appelate court processes and take the case directly on appeal. That has major present political implications even tho in theory it should not.
Precedent argues not. Political wisdom argues not. So the 9th eventually screws up again and is eventually reversed with Roberts in the majority. Optics matter just now.
Meanwhile, nothing important happens since US and Mexico have a newly announced deal to keep asylum appellants in Mexico pending US asylum adjudication.
Suggestion: lose the righteous indignation. Learn how to fight and win only the necessary fights, not every diversionary skirmisch—where you will lose many.”

NebraskaFilly

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

My takeaway from this is that it’s very important not to go running around with one’s hair on fire every time the Supreme Court does something we don’t like. This wasn’t even on the merits. (If it were, then maybe it really would be time for the bic lighter applied to the hairdo, but it’s not.) There’s a process to be followed, slow and painful, but there nonetheless. Trump was slapped for trying to short circuit the process, NOT for trying to do whatever it is the 9th Circus countermanded.
Now…has the 9th Circus demonstrated that the process is defective, with some asshat judge being able to stop POTUS from executing the laws? Yep. But the rules must be changed, not broken.

Notional inside scoop on Trump’s decision to withdraw from Syria (AP article). If true, Bolton’s days could be numbered (emph. mine):
https://www.independent.ie/world-news/trump-call-with-turkish-leader-led-to-us-pullout-from-syria-37648750.html
‘The December 14 call came a day after secretary of state Mike Pompeo and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu agreed to have the two presidents discuss Mr Erdogan’s threats to launch a military operation against US-backed Kurdish rebels in north-east Syria, where American forces are based. The NSC then set up the call.
‘Mr Pompeo, Mr Mattis and other members of the national security team prepared a list of talking points for Mr Trump to tell Mr Erdogan to back off, the officials said.
‘But the officials said Mr Trump, who had previously accepted such advice and convinced the Turkish leader not to attack the Kurds and put US troops at risk, ignored the script.
‘Instead, the president sided with Mr Erdogan.
‘The officials said the conversation set off a frantic, four-day scramble to convince the president either to reverse or delay the decision to give the military and Kurdish forces time to prepare for an orderly withdrawal.
‘Mr Trump, however, was unmoved, they said …
Mr Erdogan … quickly put Mr Trump on the defensive, reminding him that he had repeatedly said the only reason for US troops to be in Syria was to defeat IS and that the group had been 99% defeated.
‘“Why are you still there?” the second official said Mr Erdogan asked Mr Trump, telling him that the Turks could deal with the remaining IS militants.
‘With Mr Erdogan on the line, Mr Trump asked national security adviser John Bolton, who was listening in, why American troops remained in Syria if what the Turkish president was saying was true, according to the officials.
‘Mr Erdogan’s point, Mr Bolton was forced to admit, had been backed up by Mr Mattis, Mr Pompeo, US special envoy for Syria Jim Jeffrey and special envoy for the anti-IS coalition Brett McGurk, who have said that IS retains only 1% of its territory, the officials said.

‘Mr Bolton stressed, however, that the entire national security team agreed that victory over IS had to be enduring, which means more than taking away its territory.
‘Mr Trump was not dissuaded, according to the officials, who said the president quickly capitulated by pledging to withdraw, shocking both Mr Bolton and Mr Erdogan.’

Gilets jaunes news. Fewer participants this weekend — Acte 6 — but still significant:
https://sg.news.yahoo.com/yellow-vest-protest-numbers-fall-run-christmas-112803790.html
‘Three days from Christmas, French “yellow vests” turned out in smaller numbers for a sixth Saturday of protests in cities and border points, as a fatal road accident brought the death toll to 10 since the movement began last month.
‘Some 23,800 people have joined demonstrations across France, compared with 33,500 a week ago, the Interior Ministry said.
‘Near the border between France and Spain hundreds of protesters disrupted traffic as they gathered around an autoroute toll booth.
‘Police fired tear gas to disperse the “yellow vests” who retreated to a bridge, throwing objects on the road, an AFP photographer at the scene said.
‘”The autoroute is now being cleaned to allow traffic to resume normally,” local authorities said.
‘France borders the Catalan region of Spain, and the French protesters were joined by dozens of Catalan pro-independence activists, also wearing yellow vests.
‘The separatists often block highways to protest against Madrid’s rejection of Catalonia’s independence referendum in October 2017.
‘Even though their goals are different, “this demonstration at the Boulou (toll booth) is symbolic, it shows the solidarity between the Spanish Catalans and the French,” said Marcel, a 49-year-old winegrower.
‘Roadblocks by protesters were also reported on autoroutes near the border with Italy and at a bridge in Strasbourg near the German border.
‘A driver died overnight when his car slammed into the back of a truck stopped at a roadblock set up by “yellow vest” protesters at an autoroute entrance in Perpignan on the Mediterranean coast, prosecutor Jean-Jacques Fagni told AFP.
‘There have now been 10 deaths related to the protests since they began on November 17.’
The article says that Paris was relatively quiet, esp. the Champs Elysees.
There were protests in other parts of the country, however:
‘Further demonstrations of several hundred “yellow vests” were reported in Lyon, Marseille, Rouen and Bordeaux.
‘And in Angouleme in southwest France, a puppet effigy of President Emmanuel Macron was decapitated Friday night during a “yellow vest” protest, regional authorities said Saturday.
‘Meanwhile, police stepped in with tear gas to disperse around 80 protesters who had gathered Saturday outside Macron’s home in the Channel coast town of Touquet.
‘The number of protesters has however fallen significantly since last week, when Macron, a pro-business centrist, gave in to some of their demands.’

This design originated in 1916, and went through some changes partway through 1917, known as Type II (and in the mid 1920s the date was recessed because it wore off almost instantly). Miss Liberty is girding for battle. It was WWI at the time, but we are in, and will soon be in the thick of, another struggle.
The 1916 version looked like this:comment image
There’s a common story that there was a hue and cry over the exposed breast and that’s why the chain mail appeared. No, this is not true–there was no such hue and cry. The real issues was technical; the artist himself made a lot of adjustments including to the flying eagle reverse.
The mint hated making these coins; it was extremely rare for them to come out fully struck, without flat spots in the design even on a new coin. (I had to hunt a while for the top picture, in fact, and even it shows a tiny bit of weakness on the breast chain mail.) Changing over to a George Washington 200th anniversary commemoration in 1932 was a relief to them, and of course, that became permanent.
Aaaaand anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.comment image
The first quarter the US government ever made was in 1796, and only 6,146 were made. After that, quarters were not made until 1804, and the reverse (back) had a different eagle on it. It’s the only quarter minted during the George Washington administration. This is a very nice example, certainly selling for six figures, maybe even well on the way to seven. The best guess is that about 600 of them still exist, and most are in much, much worse shape than this, but they are expensive in ANY grade.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Trenton
The Battle of Trenton often makes lists of the most decisive (or important) battles in world history, since it staved off almost certain defeat and proved that ragged band of colonials wearing blue coats could beat hardened professionals, and Washington, previously a mediocre commander, now showed signs of brilliance.
There’s even a Great Courses / Teaching Company course on such battles, and the Battle of Trenton made the list and gets a half hour lecture in military history style; it saved the American Revolution (as did many other events later on; we hung on by the hair of our chinny chin chin for years to come out the victors).
(Many famous battles did not make this list, because they weren’t pivotal–a major battle in the course of a series of victories doesn’t do it; a turning point will–of all US battles, that lecture series included only the battles of Trenton, Antietam (1862), and Midway (1942).)

“Controversial Treatment Uses Teen ‘Young Blood’ To Reverse Aging… ”
“Anonymous patient data not as private as thought…”
Wonders how many in Congress have already been trying this method via blood shipments administered to them in a doctors office?
Would it put some on edge and be a veiled threat to pass the border wall?
Meanwhile the next story is this:
“Human thoughts ‘watchable on TV screens’…”
Normally DARPA (Defense Acquisition Research Program Agency?) is ten or more years ahead than science like this.

NebraskaFilly

Stopped following Drudge quite some time ago – he sold out BIGLY!

para59r

Yes, many (most here) feel the same way because Drudge doesn’t link to certain stories that help the cause and links to other stories that seem to hurt the cause.
However if you can believe or at least understand Ristavan’s take on Roberts (which I don’t completely buy because the appeal will not come up till fall) not allowing for expedited cert on the 9th circut’s ruling on immigration because it would lead to other’s thinking the court is being biased why not consider the same about Drudge. His impact is just as large as the SC and his credibility is likely as well guarded.
To this day the mainstream media and power players still treats all we already know about FISA gate and the like as conspiracy theory nonsense and that’s without even delving into Q.
To delve deeper into Drudge, yes not satisfied with him either, however he’s more than just politics and acts as a quarky cartographer of the political/social/world landscape. While he also links to news we don’t like, I put those down as ‘know your enemy’ type stories as it gives a picture of how the other side is thinking or what they are up to. Ignoring such doesn’t help. There are reasons people divide us from him, many being monetary and political.

NebraskaFilly

He divided us himself by going for the $$$$.

para59r

He was already rich and he lives small. Easier to say the boy friend. Anyway back to the Drudge Theme and Black Mail.
Works like this. Is there a reason for Drudge to print the 20 Dec story today?
Dark to Light? The Shut down? Seems to serve both.
What?
The theme! Drudge couples stories into theme’s. Its one of the way he messages.

Works like this:
Hello Senator (D) just wanted to know how your going to vote on the shut down. Oh hey, just got a heads up about that clinic you’ve been going to. Did you know they get their blood donations from XXX. Thought you might want to know.
Yeah, likely not a big deal, but hey, have you read the Drudge Report today?

Sylvia Avery

That’s an interesting point of view. Thanks for your post. I’ll be giving it some thought.

Deplorable Patriot

While Drudge, yes, sold out, the young blood headlines may well be prepping the public for some uncomfortable revelations. There have been rumors about that, and a business out of California that provides the service, for some time. One of the frequently mentioned customers is Hillary Clinton.
As for the rest, who knows.

para59r

Fingers crossed and Ackkk! Off to work!

Sylvia Avery

Okay, maybe.
I tend to think Hillary obtains the blood directly by biting the hapless donor’s neck with her fangs.

“After a 14-year investigation, a French court today convicted the American financier George Soros of insider trading and fined him 2.2 million euros ($2.3 million), the amount prosecutors said he had profited from the trading. Mr. Soros, who was not present in the courtroom, called the verdict unfounded and said he would appeal.
Mr. Soros, chairman and president of Soros Fund Management, is one of the world’s richest fund managers, and probably its most famous. He is best known for making huge and very successful speculative bets in currency markets, and for his extensive philanthropy, most notably in countries of Eastern Europe.
Prosecutors accused Mr. Soros of buying stakes in four formerly state-owned companies in France, including one of the country’s leading banks, Société Générale, for his Quantum Endowment Fund in 1988 based on confidential information. The stakes were worth a total of about $50 million at the time.”

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Wow, $2.3 million. I could retire on that…
But Soros would wipe his arse with $100,000 bills if any were out there in public hands. He probably will never notice 2.3 megabucks.
Did he even bother to fight the prosecution?

andrew1979

not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but what a heartwarming story!!!!!!
after being bullied relentlessly by lying media like fox especially laura ingraham, we finally have some great news for one of the most respected and cherished leaders of the leftist youth movement…
DAVID HOGG IS GOING TO HARVARD GUYS!!!!!!!

Why would we want the gov’t shutdown to end Chuckie?
Maybe we’ll never open it again…

judyw

Pat,
Here you go! Send it Registered mail…it not only has to be delivered and signed by him but you will receive a detailed report of every person who touches it….instructions in links below….you will make history…maybe even the evening news! /sarc
The U.S. Postal Service offers Registered Mail for customers sending valuable or irreplaceable items through the mail. Registered Mail provides added protection for valuable and important customer and internal mail with evidence of mailing and delivery.
Tracking service begins from the time the sender presents the mail to the Postal Service to the point of delivery. An accountable individual must sign for the Registered Mail piece each time it changes hands and each intermediary office must prepare control logs. Registered Mail pieces also require specific packaging and sealing methods for security and protection. When not in transit, Registered Mail pieces must be stored in a locked safe, room, or cage separated from other mail.

If Shmuckie Schumer received a brick in the mail…he would probably declare it a “death threat” and make a big stink about it.
So it could be perilous to send a brick in the mail these days.

What day is it?
Oh I don’t know.
Important stuff to attend to. And yet.
There are tears streaming down the sides of my face.

sunnydaysall

ROTFL!!! Thanks for the laughs, thinkx3!! I really needed to laugh today!! 🙂

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

My personal favorite was the cat with his head stuck in the kleenex box.

Prairie123

That was great! Thank You! My favorite was the cat and the pink balloon stuck under it’s belly & legs… too cute!

Gudthots

Mine is probably the dog jumping out of the water like it was “lava,” but the other dogs with their heads in a tube get second place. And a special mention for the rooster kicking the basketball around.

sunnydaysall

More important, reference the video, please read the comment section! Love it! 🙂

NebraskaFilly

Hm….when you go to the original article at the Daily Mail, it doesn’t say anything about her blocking any seats. The train isn’t crowded either. This site appears to have used selective editing to support their click-bait title, IMO. I have gotten caught that way before, which is why I always try to click on through to the original story/site.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5306109/LAPD-cop-filmed-dragging-woman-train-feet-seat.html

NebraskaFilly

Not that the Daily Mail is the greatest all the time either, tho. Still, I always like to have the whole story.

sunnydaysall

If you watch the very beginning of the video the elderly lady sitting on the edge of the seat next to her cannot sit fully in the seat because of her leg! 🙂

NebraskaFilly

Did not see that – thank you.

phoenixRising

she has no I.D. either… (going to the DMV to get, as she’s now 18!) Higwash…

Elizabeth Carter

Congress is supposed to pass a budget and never does. Can President Trump keep the Government shut down until they actually pass a budget?

Gudthots

How many days of shut down does it take to negate $5 Billion in spending?

THREAD from Trump page

phoenixRising

lots of info here… of the wall being built
please share this… people are not hearing about this

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Aaaah, yes, the double wall!!!

rf121

That wall seems to be missing some razor wire and some metal spikes at the bottom.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

I haven’t figured out whether a wall would be harder to climb over if there were concertina rolls all the way up on my side, or on the far side.
That being the case, just to play it safe it should be done on both sides.

Thanks Marica, great warning. Sadly, it came too late for me.
I started to read an article over there and realized it was probably not something I wanted to finish at this time so I quit just a short way into the article and I came RIGHT HERE.

Sylvia Avery

Yes. I couldn’t read on not because I didn’t want to read something that might upset my world view or depress me. I got as far as I could to conclude there just wasn’t any THERE there. The info could be correct. Or it might not. We just don’t know.
I think that people at the other tree think that Q is disinfo to keep us calm so we don’t revolt. Maybe that’s part of the purpose. But how do we know what SD’s secret source’s agenda is? How do we know they haven’t sold a bill of goods to SD?
Answer: We don’t know. And since we don’t know, I’m going to keep hoping and praying, trusting the plan, and all the other stuff they scoff at over there.
Oh well. I know we all want PDJT to succeed. We want MAGA. PDJT will lead us there, God willing.
