I have always wondered about Pres. Trump’s criticism of Sessions. I’m guessing that that related to recusal might be genuine, but that much of the rest might be planned and strategic.

I’ll have to study the entire expanded letter/thread today, but there was so much more than the first two paragraphs with the initial directive to Huber. Even that is quite comprehensive. Barnes Law appeared to take a superficial view, and did not hold much credence about the outcome. He must have missed the big picture involved. I don’t see Sessions writing such detailed instructions and then having it dismissed. One clue is “investigations already underway…”
i think the letter says something to the effect of “no need to investigate anything fallling under the scope of SC’s investigation”.

sessions ONLY recused from “russia” aka mueller’s aka SC investigation.

I remember when Sessions mentioned (March 2018) he had already authorized Huber, along with Hororwitz, to investigate election “matters” 2016 and 2017. According to the letter sent to Huber it was in the fall of 2017 that the authorization took place. People (not us) have been upset because they thought Huber wasn’t doing anything, but considering that there was a specific directive – this shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.
Nothing had indicated that this was closed out.
Plus, note that Sessions consulted RR, yet no leaking?

We knew what Sessions said a year ago in March, whether he meant to give it away or not, he said that he had appointed Huber to do exactly what that letter says. Didn’t people believe him? The letter is simply proof, but why they’re going crazy – guess they didn’t take Sessions at his word. 🙂

Spectator article claims Mueller wants to indict Ivanka, Don Jr., Eric, and Jared on financial crimes. Not buying it. The CPA signs off and CPA won’t put their license in jeopardy, especially not with the big firms the Trumps would use. Balance sheets and taxes are all subjective, anyway. Almost impossible to prove a crime unless it’s embezzlement.
Article goes on to say Mueller wants to indict POTUS for obstruction, which would be a fool’s errand. OR, just a cue up for the House Dems. OR used as a trigger to make POTUS angry and shut down the investigation.

Speculate for me, Harry. Who and What betrayal was POTUS referencing. I remember him using that word too, but never was able to determine context. I’d like to know what folks think this meant.
The word “betrayal” only surfaces in my searches in relation to his discussion of gun control measures, in which there were many calls of “act of betrayal” from gun owners. Trump DID call the shooting an “act of pure evil”, and perhaps there was a mix-up somewhere, e.g., computer-generated news.
This is a long aside, but I want to put my LATEST theory out there.
I am convinced that Las Vegas was scapegoated onto a white male chump, and that Paddock was in fact “betrayed” by those running him. Here is my current top scenario:
Paddocks chump mission is to shoot the fuel tanks as distraction for a mythical operation involving Saudis or something like that – he is not informed of the full alleged (fake) plot, whatever it was. The mythical operation is a strong psychological diversion – “they’re not telling me and I don’t need to know – I expect them to be cagey with me, or even lie”. It is excellent way to divert any suspicions.
Paddock’s COVER STORY, given to him by the plotters, is that he is selling guns – he will get off with probation if caught, or it will be hushed up. He is thus supposed to bring a somewhat stupid collection of guns and ammunition – far more than needed for the fuel tank op, so in case he gets caught, the “fake plot” and the “real plot” are not exposed – only the cover plot that he was going to sell guns to Saudis. Paddock knows this gun sale thing likely would be hushed up if it was in fact a real plot, so he’s happy with this cover story, and will work to fulfill it.
This is how Paddock is tricked into bringing a bad collection of guns that makes no sense for either a real sale OR the chump operation (fuel tank), and not even for the ACTUAL operation (too many guns, some really stupid – useful for “amateurish” sale alibi), but has a subset of guns needed for the ACTUAL plot (this was pretty ingenious).
Paddock is provided with cover story requirements – roughly so many of this and that, and what the buyers are allegedly interested in. The plotters have to be careful not to overplay this, but they need to make Paddock err on the side of bringing everything needed for the plot.
Note that IF the plot reality breaks up by Paddock getting caught, the plot evidence breaks up with it. No mass murder plot is exposed by failure of the heavy lifter of the operation, Paddock. Again, ingenious.
The plotters DO have a back-up – THAT is the second gun identified by the audio analysis. If anything messes up, the second shooter team can still dump enough rounds into the crowd that they still achieve the goal. THIS is why they need a second shooter with somewhat lesser capabilities who only starts AFTER Paddock does. Setting up Paddock and creating the narrative is the goal. No need for more or less than insuring success of the operation.
Paddock is tested on prior stays in hotels to make sure he will follow through successfully and is not suspicious. Successful completion of the prior runs at other hotels convinces the plotters that Paddock is not suspicious, lulls Paddock, AND creates a nice red herring that Paddock was looking at other venues including left-wing audiences.
Remember – Paddock thinks he is going to shoot some tanks for a big fire and a LOT of money. I think this fits his profile far better than that he is a random mass killer, etc.
Paddock and 1-2 accomplices – possibly including Campos – carry out all the prep for the fuel tank shooting, including knocking out the windows, and perform the shooting. After this fails, they engage in discussion, at which point Paddock is most likely killed and the REAL operation carried out. What EXACTLY transpires in the room depends on the TRUTH about that – we have not been given enough, so I don’t want to speculate.
The killer(s) vanish with the recordings, leaving Paddock and all his evidence behind.
Campos then covers for the real killers, blame-shifts to Paddock, and is protected by union thugs.
In a word, DIABOLICAL.

In that month of October, I spent as much time as practical on the net researching the attack, looking for live footage, pics, audio recordings, and also after-the-fact analysis and purported witness statements.
The most impressive evidence were cell phone videos that I watched shortly afterwards, hopefully before there was time for fake video to be crafted to support fake narratives. And the 2 biggest red pills of these, for me, were the cell video taken by the young lady who was driving a taxi or Uber near the main hotel entrance when shooting began, and a cell video taken by a concert goer which began when he was listening near the stage, but on the far side of the stage from the hotel, so that the upper part of the side of the hotel is visible when the 1st shots are fired.
Anyway, there is clearly barking gunfire heard that is like that of semiauto rifles fired with bump stocks. But there is also something very different, which has never been mentioned in the official narrative. This something is fire of a different pitch, clearly from a different model of gun, probably of a different calibre and/or barrel length, that is smooth and steady, at a different cyclic rate than the bump stock weapons, and without the irregular barking of bump stock fire.
I could make out the difference plainly, but don’t have the training to recognize the individual weapons. The analysis on the web from those who claimed to have the relevant expertise, however, was that the smooth steady fire was full auto from a .30 calibre light machine gun. This is a military grade rifle that no civilian would have had access to, and I think not even with the illegal operations of the Fast and Furious style.
So I’m trying to figure where the .30 LMG fits into your hypothesis. I see it as a greater capability than what Paddock is alleged to have had. Is there a 4th team somewhere? Or did your main team that betrayed Paddock bring their own professional equipment, as well as scavenging his?
You read the autopsy reports, so I’m sure you have your own take on the LMG claims?
And is he making the Q sign when he asks people if they “know what this means?”

Yes, he is a good guy. Good legal mind, and I could see where he hones in the one particular letter/file in the first part of the paragraph, but then Sessions goes on to mention 3 options to consider, expanding investigations, more resources, or even appointing a special counsel – IMO, I don’t think one letter superficially looked at covers what Sessions indicates.
Note that in the second paragraph, Sessions remarks “not currently under investigation warrants the opening of investigations, current investigations regarding further investigation or resources, and whether any matters require the appointment of a Special Counsel.” Note “currently under investigation” – so what is currently under investigation? Barnes Law can’t answer that any more than we can.
That’s a fairly big charge on the part of Sessions to Huber based on the one “letter” file.
Let me add, that Sessions bringing up the possibility of including a Special Counsel appointment indicates serious issues being investigated. I’m going to reread Cates’ entire thread, because there is much more than just Sessions two-paragraph letter causing havoc in the blogosphere.
Marica, here is the relevant two paragraphs – I was so excited last night, and it the OT w/ Barnes tweet came in late, was hard to think straight. I knew that I had read so much more. And it’s in these two paras, which is why American Oversight, obviously Left leaning, was unglued yesterday:
“On November 13, 2017, Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd wrote to former House Judiciary Committee Chair Robert Goodlatte informing him that Sessions had directed “senior federal prosecutors” to evaluate issues the congressman had raised in previous letters. It’s those matters outlined in Boyd’s letter which Sessions is referencing in his directive to Huber – Clinton, Uranium One sale, and FBI investigation into the handling of the Clinton email server.
I don’t believe Barnes or anyone can say that those investigations have or have not taken place. Neither do I believe that Sessions’ letter is lipservice or cover. It’s an official document. If Huber didn’t do as directed, then someone else did or will.

My impressions, not necessarily fact:
I never thought the two men were a fit as a team, and I had problems with both of them. Corsi threw his lot in with Jones in a mutually beneficial arrangement. Corsi could tap into Jones’ large audience, and Jones would get Q followers who read Corsi’s decodes at the time.

For it implies that Eisenhower was creating a legal doctrine not out of any high-minded conviction favoring the quality of advice offered to American presidents by their subordinates, but rather by a perverse desire to shield from disclosure the treacherous machininations of enemy moles he knew to have burrowed their way into sensitive positions from which they endangered the national security.

I want to respond to Lady Penquin’s question from the previous page but I’ll start a new post since that one was getting a bit long. LP asked:

And this was referring to President Trump’s use of the word “betrayal” when he was asked about the mass shooting in Vegas.
I can only speculate from memory (almost a year and a half now) because I have searched high and low for that video clip where he said that this was a “betrayal”…I even watched a couple of those hours long streaming videos that covered large amounts of time during PDJT’s visit to Vegas at the hospital and with LEO…and I came up completely empty. I believe he said it at the hospital but I could be wrong. I also believe he said it while he stopped to talk to reporters while walking through a buliding…I believe he was standing in a doorway… and NOT during a scheduled and pre-planned media event. I am absolutely convinced he said it while in Vegas and not in DC. I am convinced he said this and that it was captured on video that I saw with my own eyes. I remember discussions about it OT when it happened.
If this is true then surely (stop calling me Shirley) this video should be very easy to find unless it has been scrubbed for some reason. It is no where to be found. I realize memory can play tricks…and I may have some of the details wrong…but I remain convinced he said this. And I am glad that others remember it, too…Wheatie, Lady Penquin, Gail, and I remember several others had the same memory when this was brought up a few months back…because after a while you start questioning yourself and…well, questioning yourself.
The impression I got back then was that he meant “betrayal” as a personal betrayal…or as in a “betrayal” to our country…which to PDJT amounts to pretty much the same thing. There was a lot of speculation at the time of a SA connection because of who owned the upper floors of the Mandalay Bay. This may have been a part of what he was referring to but in my mind he used the word “betrayal” because this was closer to home…and my speculation at the time was that one of our own agencies must have been involved in the mass shooting in some way and that this hurt the President deeply.
That was my impression then and now. I would love to see that video clip again just to confirm that it does indeed exist and that he in fact did say it was a “betrayal.” If I saw it again I could at least confirm or re-evaluate my interpretation of that moment.
I started searching through the Oct 2017 articles OT, firstly most all of the youtube vids were not available Hmmm, however one post does mention what you’re looking for and it’s posted on the 6th Oct 17, so the remark must have been made sometime between the 1st and 6th, if that narrows it down a little. Back when Saudi and Kuwaiti citizens attacked the US on 9-11-2001, the US imported about 2/3s of our oil. Even though most US oil imports originated from Canada, Mexico and Venezualla, any disruption of global supply would have driven up prices. Oil from US neighbors would be redirected to other countries, particularly European allies (unless the US exploited naval supremecy to hoard the oil.) The US could not take military action in retaliation against Saudi Arabia and Kuwait without triggering a massive economic catastrophe. Thanks to Fraking, the US is now nearly energy self suffecient if you include Canada which is a captive supply. Thanks to President Trump, US policy is beginning to recognize that the US is no longer compelled to compromise its national security to benefit alleged allies (particularly European sllies.) The end result is that President Trump has a realistic option to take military action against Saudi Arabia if they are once again responsible for an attack on the US.

Just pointing out, this statement is empirically untrue.
And in any kind of ‘truth movement’, especially in a national/global environment of ‘political correctness’, it seems contradictory to purpose, to state things which are manifestly false.
Everyone has a skin color, including patriots.
Patriotism may have no skin color, but patriots — because they are human beings — always do.
And it’s just plain weird, a departure from reality, to suggest otherwise.
