An African Cardinal Speaks
I believe this Cardinal, Robert Sarah, brings a beautiful moral clarity to many of the topics discussed here at Wolf’s Q Treehouse, but let’s to focus on the gender issue for a moment.
Cardinal Sarah, Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship, says that the spiritual crisis that currently blights “the whole world” has its roots in Europe, because Europe has rejected God:
“Western people are convinced that receiving is contrary to the dignity of human persons. But civilised man is fundamentally an heir, he receives a history, a culture, a language, a name, a family. This is what distinguishes him from the barbarian. To refuse to be inscribed within a network of dependence, heritage, and filiation condemns us to go back naked into the jungle of a competitive economy left to its own devices. Because he refuses to acknowledge himself as an heir, man is condemned to the hell of liberal globalisation.”
Cardinal Sarah links this idea of the rejection of humanity’s inheritance to another that he says is at the root of current malaise: the rejection, in the West, of the idea of fatherhood.
The two rejections, he explains, are intimately bound up with our rejection of God.
“From Him we receive our nature as man and woman. This is intolerable to modern minds. Gender ideology is a Luciferian refusal to receive a sexual nature from God. Thus some rebel against God and pointlessly mutilate themselves in order to change their sex. But in reality they do not fundamentally change anything of their structure as man or woman. The West refuses to receive, and will accept only what it constructs for itself.”
He continues: “Because it is a gift from God, human nature itself becomes unbearable for western man… This revolt is spiritual at root. It is the revolt of Satan against the gift of grace.”
We ignore the gift of grace found in gender differences to our great loss.
However, I’d like to redirect our attention to something else about the Divine blueprint. There are two versions of the creation story in the book of Genesis. The first is more like a requirements specification, the second is more like an elaboration process.
So God created human beings in his own image.
In the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” 19 So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one. 20 He gave names to all the livestock, all the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals. But still there was no helper just right for him.
21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man’s ribs and closed up the opening. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man.
23 “At last!” the man exclaimed.“This one is bone from my bone,
and flesh from my flesh!
She will be called ‘woman,’
because she was taken from ‘man.’”
24 This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.
25 Now the man and his wife were both naked, but they felt no shame.

Have you ever considered that Wolf’s famous BOTH logic applies to God? In the first reference the term human beings (Hebrew ’ādām) is the generic term for humankind and does not imply gender. In the blueprint, humankind is created in the image of God, BOTH male and female. To truly defend and honor gender, we must first respect this reality. There is the biology AND the spirituality.
John Eldredge’s writing have captured the power of celebrating the qualities of gender for the most recent generation. And recently a theologian has pointed out that section in that corresponds to the governmental portion of the Mosaic law in the Ten Commandments is, “honor your father AND your mother.” Talk about revolutionary. There have been patriarchal cultures and matriarchal cultures, but a culture of honor for BOTH???
What if we’ve been duped into looking at the wrong thing (again). What if true leadership and authority and inner peace flow out of embracing the partnership of two very powerful and very different genders, BOTH made in the image of God?
To be honest, I’m just scratching the surface of what feels like an intense and very deep reality here. I don’t think I’m even close to where we need to be on this. There is something here that we must understand in order to prevail in the culture/spiritual war we are dealing with. But it seems this needs to be put out there for discussion.
Romans chapter 1 summarizes the steps to ‘gender’ confusion and sexual deviance. Very clear. God must have anticipated and predicted this century’s massive rebellion against His authority and His design in creation.
First step was suppressing the truth. Second step was rejecting the design in nature. Third step was refusing to worship GOD. Idolatry came next. Foolish thinking, pretense of wisdom…. so GOD allows them to follow their own sinful ways and desires…and sexual impurity/deviance follows….and it gets much worse….envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice, slanderers, arrogant, God-haters…no understanding, no mercy, no respect for parents…and to approve of all that is just as bad as doing it.

God’s Wrath Against Sinful Humanity
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
The seven laws of Noah preceded the Ten Commandments and Leviticus by centuries – and were very specific about sexual sin/prohibitions.
The seven Noachide Laws, as traditionally enumerated are:
1 Do Not Deny God
2 Do Not Blaspheme God
3 Do Not Murder
4 Do Not Engage in Incestuous, Adulterous or Homosexual Relationships.
5 Do Not Steal
6 Do Not Eat of a Live Animal
7 Establish Courts/Legal System to Ensure Law Obedience
By the time of Moses, the Israelites already understood that ‘adultery’ was any act or relationship that crossed the line of these Noah laws.

“God must have anticipated and predicted this century’s massive rebellion against His authority and His design in creation.” Or maybe it’s happened before in history. For example, the depths of the sin practiced by the people of Noah’s time that caused GOD to flood the earth and start over.
While the sin and evil was probably rampant during Noah’s time, I believe the biggest part of the problem was with the fallen Angels. They were mating with the human women (probably animals too) and corrupting the bloodline, producing mutant giants, screwing up the DNA. Jesus (2nd Adam) had to be a descendent of Adam in order to fulfill God’s Word, so He had to save Noah and family to ensure the purity of the bloodline as well as the accuracy of His prophecy.

Locally, I know a guy that most of us believe is transitioning. A mutual friend all but confirmed he’s on hormones of some variety. Less than a month a go, he fell and broke a number of ribs. Yeah, we’re meant to be what God made us.
It is utterly cruel to encourage self-mutilation. There are many sick people who take advantage of them, too.

But that’s what Satan does. He tries to pervert everything God created into something false and sick. And our Luciferian elite are completely fine with that. As Q said: “They worship Satan. Some of them don’t even hide it.”

I agree generally with the thoughts in the article above, but it seems to me that it is missing the most important piece of the puzzle.
It seems that “we” have a strong tendency to view our situation as ‘organic’, when I believe it is anything but.
ALL of the Godlessness, in all its forms, has been thrust upon us by design and by intent. I don’t believe any of it is ‘organic’. Left alone, without the Marxist / Globalist influences that began in the mid to late 1960s, what reason is there to think that we would be anywhere NEAR where we are today, culturally or religiously or any other way?
Our country was going in a very predictable direction for generation after generation, very much a nation of Christian principles and ideals, right up to the late 1960s, when SOMEBODY dragged the needle across the record, stopped the player, and began injecting POISON into the West’s bloodstream.
And it has not abated for an instant since, it has only grown more comprehensive and potent with each passing decade.
Blaming ourselves is like Popeye Doyle in “The French Connection” blaming himself for getting hooked on Heroin (it has been a long, LONG time since I’ve seen it, but IIRC, he was kidnapped, tortured, and injected with Heroin to make him a junkie by his captors).
The point is, the path on which we find ourselves is not our natural path, or even “a” natural path, but a path which we have very intentionally been forced to go down, without our consent or (even especially) our knowledge.
This has been done TO us, we didn’t just wake up one day in Mayberry and say to ourselves “selves, let’s become Sodom and Gomorrah for kicks”.
Nothing remotely like that ever happened, and yet we find ourselves here anyway.

As a Jew, Mordecai would only bow to the Lord God of Israel. Cardinal Sarah is one of the shining lights we have in the Church, that’s for sure, but I wonder how much he takes into account that we in the west have been taught to never be satisfied. I’m not talking about natural competition, or accepting who we are, but how the psyops of advertising and marketing have us conditioned to always want something else or more. It’s exploits human nature in a way that is detrimental to the self and the soul.
As for the transgenderism “craze,” it has all the hallmarks of a fad. Once those who are fascinated become disillusioned with it, and a psychiatric epidemic hits, the fashionable among us might well come to their senses. Sort of like what happened with prohibition.

God’s Conversion Therapy
At Plymouth Rock in Massachusetts, our forefathers came ashore and established a colony built on the foundation of God’s word and religious freedom. Their dream was to build a city set on a hill that could not be hidden. They had fled the tyranny of a nation that suppressed religious freedom and there in Massachusetts a holy experiment was enacted.
Now centuries later Massachusetts is at the forefront of crushing the very religious liberties their forefathers bled and died for. This past week Governor Baker signed into law the conversion therapy bill. Now parents will not have the freedom to get therapy for their minor children who may be struggling with gender dysphoria. A licensed therapist could lose his license and a parent could possibly lose their child. This kind of therapy in the bill is called ‘child abuse’.
So is there now no freedom to help a person find his true identity male and female in Christ? Will pastors be forced into silence on the power of Christ to convert souls leading to inward transformation and biblical sexual wholeness.
It is my conviction that the reason such bills are now being passed is because the church has not exercised the power of God to bring deliverance to those struggling with same-sex attractions and lifestyles. I’m reminded of the young man who stood and challenged me saying “you have no right to tell me as a homosexual I cannot have civil liberties if you cannot manifest the power of God to deliver me.“
That my friends, is what God is about to do. He is coming to save and deliver. Soon hundreds if not thousands of testimonies of once gay men and women will overflow the refuge of lies that a person can’t change. God may just challenge this conversion therapy bill with his own conversion therapy, a movement of prayer and evangelism borne of great love, healing, and deliverance.
What if there was a great gathering of tens of thousands of once gay men and women to Boston to declare “We are changed!” What if we gathered thousands of mothers and fathers whose sons and daughters are in LGBTQ lifestyles and lift up a united cry with tears for salvation and deliverance to come down!
What if thousands converged in Massachusetts to evangelize the great-grandchildren of Jonathan Edwards, the father of the First Great Awakening? Could this be our Jericho?
Derek Prince once said that Boston is the Jericho Of America and when it’s walls of intellectualism fall, America will be swept into the great revival.

The traditional Jewish Talmudic understanding of Genesis fits in with this focus on two genders very well.
Abraham stopped his bargaining with God over the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah at 10 Just Men, sensing that God was not willing to continue this line of argument to too small a number of Just Men.
This illustrates the principle that a man cannot live a moral life in a society where the people around him are all unjust – he would be taken advantage of like a babe in the woods, and wouldn’t be able to create the type of home environment where he could raise children and teach them to live moral lives of their own, for when they become adults.
But there is an earlier story that teaches a variation of this principle as it applies to home life. The idea is that, to leave a lasting legacy, a man needs a good woman to help raise their children, so that all the generations down the line will be able to preserve the same moral laws.
The earlier story is that of Noah and the Ark.
As Noah was a just man, and did everything God asked with regard to the the flood, God, according to a Talmudic tradition, was almost ready to reveal the Law to Noah. Noah and his family would have been the first Jews. They and their descendants would have populated the postdiluvian world. It would have been a world with no religious strife, as everyone would have been Jewish, and known the Law.
Except that Noah screwed up on the last instruction! In telling Noah how to handle the Flood, God had told him that, when the Flood was over, and he finally left the Ark, [this is not an exact quote, just my general recollection from an essay I read by a Jewish moral thinker years ago] “You shall go forth from the Ark, and your wife, and your sons, and your sons’ wives.” But, when recounting the actual event of leaving the Ark, Genesis says [again, just my recollection] “Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives.”
See! God’s order of precedence was revolutionary. But in starting his life afresh in a new world, Noah reverted to the traditional Middle Eastern social order, men first, wives behind.
By failing to follow God’s instruction exactly, Noah demonstrated that he could not be counted on to honor his wife sufficiently. His tendency would be to put his [adult] sons first, over their mother. Thus, she would not have the moral authority within the family to form a strong teaching team with Noah, and thereby assure that the moral code would be taught and adhered to strictly down through the generations.
So, because of that one screw up, the Commandments had to wait for Moses many generations later, after the world had filled up with people practicing other behaviors.
I don’t guarantee that Christian translations of the Bible will bother to mimic the order of the original Hebrew in their English wording. So please don’t assume I’m imagining this lesson, if your favorite translation doesn’t support the Talmudic reading my [non-Jewish] brain is retrieving from storage here.
