1) Just totally random speculation with no proof, but I wonder if the Flores “revelation” and the follow-ups were NOT intended to get Biden out, but in fact intended to “inoculate” Biden by giving him a chance to “apologize” (not really) and then to dismiss further questions by saying in effect “I apologized for that already, move on”

My only quibble: folks seem to believe that a conflict of interest seen retrospectively has a far more automatic and definitive effect than it actually does. Yes (I believe) sometimes it does, but (again, I believe) more often it is not so definitive and automatic.
IOW, the Session’s recusal, although entirely proper and probably necessary, would have been motivated by political reasons far more than legal reasons. But even a “necessary” recusal would not necessarily undo criminal convictions legally. They would be “undone” politically.
I think understand what you’re saying, about being able to get the criminal convictions – not sure. They’ve been so destructive with their political warfare approach – 2018 elections – that POTUS might not have accomplished what he has – in spite of the Resistance efforts. Sessions’ recusal did take some of the political ammunition off the table in the daily drumbeat of our lives – look at what they’re trying to do with AG Barr right now. OTOH, regardless of recusal issues, I believe that it has taken this long to unravel the entire fabric of the Deep State – not only what they did regarding DJT and his candidacy, and post election, but whatever Obama et al was up to in the 8 years+ previously.
Brian stated something that many others have stated, that a failure to recuse would legally undo any convictions eventually obtained against the people investigating Sessions. I am not sure that is true. I think that is too broad of a statement. IOW, even the improper failure to recuse does not necessarily mean that the results are automatically and definitively negated. The question is more complicated than that, legally.
But politically recusal was absolutely necessary. It was absolutely politically necessary to get results from a “neutral” investigator, like RR and Mueller.

I believe the Trump administration had to let the CORRUPT (but apparently clean and shiny) Mueller process be a “CLEAN FIRING DUD”, where the bullet clears the barrel and bounces harmlessly to the floor, showing INTENT TO FIRE. If Trump had opposed it too greatly, AS THE CRIMINALS PLANNED, the conflagration would have obscured the LAWFARE of the operation.
As it was, we can see how the LAWFARE GANG drew the gun, took aim, and fired – yet no damage was done. Insertion of BARR was key to preventing a SECOND DUD designed to keep the Trump administration under the gun for 2 more years. The good guys had to let it go all the way to commission of the crime – the click, the pop, the THUD of the bullet on the floor – for people to fully understand what was done.
This way, by not providing any powder to the primers (Flynn, Papadop, Manafort, etc.), it was clear that there WAS an attempted murder of the Trump presidency by the Watergate method. The Trump White House let themselves by held at gunpoint for 2 years to prove what was really going on. Very smart – very PATIENT – very LONG-TERM in thinking.
By such a CLEAN SLATE, it is very easy to remove BARR in a mental calculation and see how ROSEY would have kept the fake show going “by the book”.

One of the biggest political landmines at the place was sidestepped with a cover story and a good man playing fall guy. Same thing here. VSG’s first six months or so was spent finding the canaries and leakers. Then they were all gone.

St. George Island FL and Cape San Blas, St. Joseph Peninsula are the prettiest US beaches.
St. George Island, Dog Island (accessible only by ferry) and Cape San Blas area have unspoiled white sugar sand beaches, great fishing, great rental cottages for every pocketbook, delicious seafood and Apalachicola and other small towns are fun to explore!
They have moved and rebuilt the St. George Island lighthouse that fell to erosion and storms.
Gorgeous beaches, bald eagles nesting, peace and quiet.

My daughter her husband and her daughter and their friends vacationed two years ago in Mexico also.
I assume my daughter turned liberal since she does not want to hear anything negative about Obama and scolded me that I support POTUS.
We do not speak politics because since she lives in CT I do not see her often.
Their friends did not wanted to go back to vacation in Mexico because they felt it was to dangerous. At least my daughters and husband’s friends have common sense.
Can’t imagine why anyone would want to visit Mexico. The very definition of unsafe.

Family was discussing family reunion locations. Mexico came up. Myself and one other said, not only no, hell no. Safety. Twenty something nieces, with youngsters, chimed in with snide remarks about “some are not adventuresome”. Somewhere between naive and stupid.

In high school, my folks took me at least 3-4 times a year, right over the border, Matamoras, Reynosa, all the way to Monterrey. Loved it. Where I learned to negotiate in city markets.
Later on, dated the son of a Mexican Senator (long story). Went all the time, all over Mexico. Plus, promotional sales trips for the firm were $69/round trip out of Miami. Easy hop for a weekend.

As President of the most powerful and richest country in the world, all they could think of was how to sell us out and line their own pockets.

I am so glad that Carter, both Bushes, the Clintons and Obamas are around to witness President Trump’s Presidency.

Specifically, the Indictment alleges that Stenger, in exchange for campaign donations and several fundraising events, took official action to insure that John Rallo and his company, Cardinal Insurance, obtained insurance contracts through St. Louis County during 2015 and 2016. “Effective immediately, Brig. Gen. Kristin Goodwin is no longer performing her duties as the commandant of cadets pending the results of an ongoing investigation,” the academy said in an email to the Gazette. “We cannot provide additional information on the investigation at this time.”
This is a population with increased incidence of relational instability and violence, addictions, anger, mental health issues and often those interfere with other things like job performance, reliability.
