One of the obstacles to full understanding of just what the enemy is all about revolves around the concept of symbolism.
However, this is a symbol that the other side does not seem to use other than to send a message.
The liturgical use of ashes originates in the Old Testament times. Ashes symbolized mourning, mortality, and penance. For instance, in the Book of Esther, Mordecai put on sackcloth and ashes when he heard of the decree of King Ahasuerus (or Xerxes, 485-464 BC) of Persia to kill all of the Jewish people in the Persian Empire (Est 4:1). Jesus Himself also made reference to ashes: Referring to towns that refused to repent of sin although they had witnessed the miracles and heard the good news, our Lord said, “If the miracles worked in you had taken place in Tyre and Sidon, they would have reformed in sackcloth and ashes long ago” (Mt 11:21).
The early Church continued the usage of ashes for the same symbolic reasons. In his book, De Poenitentia, Tertullian (c. 160-220) prescribed that the penitent must “live without joy in the roughness of sackcloth and the squalor of ashes.” Eusebius (260-340), the famous early Church historian, recounted in his The History of the Church how an apostate named Natalis came to Pope Zephyrinus clothed in sackcloth and ashes begging forgiveness. Also during this time, for those who were required to do public penance, the priest sprinkled ashes on the head of the person leaving confession.

No, it is impossible to reattach a lamb and ewe. They forget their babies immediately. If you want to keep the ewe in the picture you have to treat the lamb where she can see it.
With goats, you can bring all the kids in on a very cold night and then re-unite them with Mom the next morning with zero problem.
We lost the really weak one over night. I had hoped she was going to make it since she was managing to stand last night but no luck. They are so very very fragile when they are that young and weak.
I remembered you saying that the ewes will forget them overnight, but I had wondered if there was some sort of procedure — maybe you could put a pillow on their stomach with an Ace bandage for a couple of days and reveal the lamb as you take it off…..
Here’s hoping the remaining lamb strengthens rapidly.
So far so good.
Biggest problem with very young and weak lambs/ kids is they need the head up and back to keep the milk out of the lungs. That is darn hard on a wiggly lamb who can not stand well.
Some people put a feeding tube down the nose and into the stomach but I am not qualified to do that.
Also we have found out the hard way, that you can work your tail off to keep the baby alive for a couple of months, wean it only to have it die later on from an ‘undisclosed illness’ So I try to save them and try not to cry too hard when I can not.
We do have a nice crop of lambs and kids this year BTW so there is that good news.

The quote above is the bright red dividing line between the end of recounting the damages suffered, and the beginning of how to stop the damages from continuing.
And it is at this point, always and every time, that our side always goes wobbly. It is at this moment where we sharply break with reality, and veer off through the looking glass, where up is down, black is white, left is right and right is wrong.
It’s like we were listening to an enumeration of harms suffered in preparation of a declaration of Independence, but at the last second, it turns out to be Greta Thunberg, opining on the dangers of fossil fuels and the need for a green new deal.
Like someone mercilessly driving a railroad spike into the mind’s eye.
It is like confronting an abuser, saying you have raped us, you have murdered millions of us, and are we ever going to do anything about it? NOPE. Nor do we need to.
Because magic or karma or any other thing besides ourselves is going to force their removal, so our virtuous virgin hands can remain virtuously virginal. Or something.
Everyone is all for the ending of the psychopaths, but somehow we have convinced ourselves that the one thing that has proven to work to bring about the desired outcome is the one thing which our virtuous virtue-signalling virtue-virtue will never allow us to do.
It’s like saying “We want the result of 4 + 3, we are united in this desire and we are sure it is righteous, so long as the answer is never ever 7.”
And apparently very few can actually SEE the disconnect with reality.
Because in reality, the kinds of harms which have been inflicted on us, have never been stopped before — ever — in the history of the UNIVERSE… without the use of force.
If I am wrong — and oh dear sweet baby goodness wrapped in love and kindness, I hope I am — where is the example, in all of history?
Because if there isn’t one, then HOW is this time different?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Not only does no one seem to have an answer to that question, some people actually get pissed off when it is asked, as if the person asking the question is the bad guy, instead of the fantasist who advocates a non-actionable ‘solution’ to a problem that very much must be resolved, preferably before the entire planet is taken over by totalitarian psychopaths who fight with real weapons, while we fight with virtue-signals. I get that some percentage of the population is supposed to ‘awaken’ to their own funeral that is being prepared right before their eyes, before change can happen.
I don’t know what that percentage is, and curiously no one ever says, so it’s a moving target that conveniently can never be hit, but we’ll continue with the premise for now, for the sake of argument.
And for the sake of argument, suppose every single person on the planet was awake and united in purpose against the global cabal.
What is it — SPECIFICALLY — that is supposed to compel the psychopaths to be removed from power and authority, absent the use of force?
What is this magic talisman, this unicorn, this fairy dust, this wish-fulfillment, what is the missing ingredient that no one ever talks about or defines, what is the transformative mechanism that actually moves us from the current reality of “psychopaths in control” to the desired reality of “psychopaths gone” — absent the use of force at some point?
No matter if the entire population of the world wishes the psychopaths to be removed, what actually, physically, in the realm of reality, causes their removal, unless someone physically removes them by force?
Why would they ever leave without be forced to do so?
Would they ever leave just because we really, really, really want them to leave?
Where has that ever happened before?
And if it has never happened before, then by what logic or reason does anyone expect that it will ever happen in the future?
What is the action — in reality — that will cause the change from “psychopaths in control” to “psychopaths gone”?

This is an extremely important point. You cant meme yourself out of prison like the J6 inmates. Political oppression and few in power are doing anything at all. Theres no 1 defined head or group of baddies, besides globalists in general worldwide, and people in our country are void of leaders and perhaps are too comfortable in their self absorption to care, until its too late.
Timing is everything. And it’s going to be tricky.
The other side is DESPERATE to involve us in a war.
They would PREFER to involve us in a civil war.

I do NOT rule out fighting these bastards eventually. But I see slow and steady progress, and I’m patient.

I hear you. I think Scott’s comments are purely on an intellectual level and that he does not have an ulterior motive of wanting us to go to war. I don’t think he wants to sacrifice our sons and daughters, and I don’t think he is some kind of agent. I think he is thinking through the problems in a logical way and is asking reasonable questions about solutions. No one provides an answer to his question of when the kind of situation we’re in today has ever been solved without the use of force.
IMO, we need voices like Scott’s to make us think and be prepared for scenarios that we don’t like to contemplate. We also need to be entertaining solutions and looking at every possibility, no matter how unlikely or unpleasant it seems at the moment. We are dealing with forces of evil that are out of our depth.
No one wants us to go to war. Maybe military force could be used to prevent that, if the wrongdoers were held accountable and taken out of power. I don’t know enough to be able to say. But I do know that, in our minds and thoughts, we should not be just waiting and hoping things will change for the better. Combine the above with not giving them a reason to declare Martial Law and other law enforcement overreach as DePat posted. That leads to emphasizing the completing of the election laws/process lock down on illegal voting and patriots manning the local precincts in enough states to control the final federal elections outcomes. It has to work correctly in enough states to control. For the others, activate whatever patriot law enforcement, prosecution and judiciary you have available along with any other leftists in those positions of which you may have evidence of wrongdoing (controlled op) – then drop the legal hammer on a bunch of corrupt black hats publicly. The blue normies need their worlds rocked a bit. They just did that in Cook County. The leftists may play along for nefarious reasons and expect them to do so. The ENTIRE system, from top to bottom, is corrupt. The state houses are the training grounds. A family known to mine for decades had a kid in the state house being trained to take his dad’s seat in Congress, and the seat flipped in the very next election. And, no, it was not Lacy Clay’s seat.
They do not deserve an iota of trust, especially when dealing with our founding documents.
State reps are sent to the convention are allowed to vote on specific changes.
They do not have the liberty or permission to vote on other changes. They have to come back and get permission to do so. Basically any state can drop out of the process at any time and unless they meet the magic threshold all is in vein. When the finished product is agreed upon it has to be both voted on by the people of the state and ratified by it’s legislature.
There is no rewriting of the Constitution. No runaway convention. Any state can walk away at any time. It takes 34 states to call the convention and 38 states to ratify the result.
All the amendments being sought currently by those calling for the convention are to limit Federal Powers. None of them are to expand Federal Powers.
This is a process that is doable if enough states join in.
This Meckler thing is designed to sink the idea of the convention by playing into the fears people have about a runaway convention. Many have this fear because it was what was taught in school when we grew up. The fear is unfounded.
Examine any of the links that support the Convention of States and you can see easily that the process will not result in a runaway convention. It will take only 13 states not ratifying the end product.

OTOH, our Constitution was the result of a “runaway” — the delegates were supposed to be amending the Articles of Confederation.
This is my worry. Article V is one thing, but what if the states don’t reprimand rouge delagates? What if the courts are allowed to interfere and pull their typical legislating from the bench “Judicial Review” garbage that they assumed for themselves? I cannot remember the gist of it… except that it was for an alternative to, as well as a warning against, using Article V.

But, in the end, it is my understanding that Michael wants to leave the mob behind, and make amends with the Church(?). Something like that. I suspect there’s a lot of that behind the scenes.
