Today, I’m starting out a little differently as events in the last few weeks really gelled into a genuine question every American kid on a road trip used to annoy the heck out of their parents.

Have I felt it? Yes. In fact, after all the revivals going on around the nation, and walks for Jesus and increasing numbers of men’s Rosary rallies around the world, Cardinal Dolan of New York making priests available from 7 am – 7 pm in St. Patrick’s Cathedral for distribution of ashes to anyone who wanted them on Ash Wednesday last week – 40,000 people received – I’m convinced something is happening and it’s of God.
This video (it won’t embed) makes the case that the end of the totalitarian reign is near – at least in the Church. It looks to be on the verge of being over in the political realm as well. Once the people are awake, there is no going back. And the people are waking up:

Funny that….
The shift in the official government position on the crisis origination now seems like a finger-pointing distraction, and effort to avoid accountability for their totalitarian exploitation and dictatorial fiats used in the process of taking advantage of it.

I realize posts, memes, etc. with the “why is it…” are meant to zing or influence others with less acumen or interest to question, but just calling out the lies as lies and truth as truth is much more effective IMO. Personal rejection of the truth does not change the truth, however, it is self condemning.
We are seeing a play by the evil to use the innocent (truth) until proven guilty (lie) mantra of legalism that is implanted into all Americans at an early age. It is a legal principle of the law that is no longer followed in practice. Scripturally we are to not falsely accuse others, so many believers take that to mean the same thing as that supposed legal principle.
Nope, not even a little. We are to use wisdom and discernment to determine truth and lies. We have The Word and direct pipeline in prayer for that purpose. We then compare the actual law, regulation, “guideline”, “mandate”, etc. to The Word. If in conflict, The Word wins.
Just like calling falsehoods “misinformation”, “disinformation”, or even “falsehoods” by the different terms than they are, which are “lies”. It’s just another virtue signal of a different type to do that.
Call them lies. Never forget what Jesus said. John 8:44 – You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

One of the biggest problems with BIOMETRICS as a security token:
Biometric information is IRREVOCABLE.
If someone steals your biometric markers, you have no recourse to having them revoked and new ones issued.
This is why we don’t use biometrics as your personalized Social Security Number to tie your identity together.
It’s fine for opening doors, unlocking a password key, and other “something I have” factors that replace a physical key and buy convenience – but any more than that we are setting people up for massive identity fraud and privacy violations.
By contrast, a certificate on a PKI card is extremely secure and fully revocable. If it’s stolen, the certificate can be cancelled and a new one issued – not surprisingly, banks already have procedures for this. The certificate bitness has high entropy compared to 64-point fingerprint positions.
My concern is that that data could be compromised by the wrong people, too.
A PKI card does not contain one’s biometric data, but just a code that identifies them?
Someone can always abuse it, but the point of PKI is to have a way to share PUBLIC keys (public key infrastructure). You control your PRIVATE keys.
Now they can sell it to the chines to do what? This boggles my mind.

The language in this 4chan screenshot is crude and too focused on race, IMO, but it gets at the heart of what I’ve been pointing out since 2022. There is a large psy-op coming from multiple angles to try to herd both the Left and Right toward a false political “center.” The motive is two-fold:
1) Stop Trump by providing “moderate” candidates like DeSantis as an alternative (or at least what they consider “moderate”).
2) Try to convince the public to fight for the occupying regime in their big upcoming war (because they know damn well that they don’t have the public support right now).

I’m seeing newer versions now, that are being used to back big pharma as poser shills alleging to come in on our side.
It is not at all far from bots that can fake basic stereotypes in a dead-on way, to bots that can fake particular individuals.
Also the description of what is happening with compartmentalization is spot on, and sniffs of truth. They don’t want the people working on it to understand. Once it becomes widely known that they are doing this, why would anyone keep using their platform?
For those who don’t use FB and have no account, they have no data. And those who have a FB account but don’t (or rarely) use it, they don’t have enough data.
Either way, the ‘answer’ is to stop using their platform.
As for being able to pass itself off as a deceased or abducted person, no doubt an AI could use personal info (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) to make regular or periodic superficial posts, to maintain an illusion that the account is still active.
Bots have probably been capable of doing the same thing for years.
But what the AI can’t do is withstand a challenge from anyone who knows the real person that the AI is impersonating.
There are millions of memories we never have any reason to have discussed online, so the AI can not have awareness of them.
Suppose you’re my brother and we had a fight over a slingshot when we were kids, and our Mom took it away, and threw it in the trash, and forbid us to play with slingshots. We would both have memories of that event, and the AI wouldn’t.
So I could verify whether you were real or an AI by asking you something the AI could not possibly know, but which you would know instantly.
I could ask “What toy did we fight over when we were kids, that Mom took away from us?”
The AI has no answer to that question. It would have to guess. Or disconnect, which is what most of the AI telemarketer calls do when I start doing my Bladerunner routine on them.
Or you could be a little more clever about it. You could inquire about something you know is not true, to see whether the other person catches it.
If the thing Mom took away from us was a slingshot, I could ask “Do you remember the baseball glove Mom took away from us when we were kids, and she threw it in the trash?”
If the AI tries to go along with that story line, you know it’s a Replicant.
These are just crude examples to make the point, the actual give and take in a conversation with an AI could be much more subtle as the AI grows more sophisticated, luring the AI into knowledge dead-ends in ways that the AI doesn’t even realize what you have done, and doesn’t realize that you have discovered that it is an AI.

I’m no privacy expert, but I can use a VPN.
For example, Proton (same company as Protonmail) has a free VPN, only 3 nodes (in three different countries), but unlimited usage and I didn’t experience any speed limitations.
Very simple to use, just click a ‘connect’ button or ‘disconnect’ button, nothing complicated for newbies (like myself).
With the VPN connected, there are a few websites that require an extra step (email verification) when logging in, like eBay, Amazon, etc., but I haven’t found too many that require it. Or you can just disconnect the VPN momentarily, log in to those websites, and then reconnect the VPN.
Upgrade to ‘pro’ version is not expensive, but also not required, the free version is unlimited.

If AI can deceive, then AI can also be used to detect AI deception, and the market for that will be HUGE, as in just about everyone on the planet.
Like using radar detectors in your car to detect cops and speed traps.
When I was younger, detecting and evading police was just normal everyday experience, because it basically had to be that way.
The speed limits back then (e.g., 55mph on the highway) were not even remotely reasonable, so lots of people (including me) ignored them entirely. The speed limit signs might as well have said 10mph, it was irrelevant.
I used an Escort radar detector (made by Cincinnati Microwave IIRC, best available at the time), and when the cops started using lasers too, I used velcro to stack a laser detector underneath my radar detector.
Later on, newer models integrated the laser detector with the radar detector in the same unit. It was like an arms race with the police, and the cost of a potential speeding ticket always justified the cost of the latest detector technology.
But even it the cost hadn’t been justified, it was part of the game, and the game was fun.
I expect the same thing to happen with AI, because there will be a ton of money to be made in detecting AI.

I’m not sure how to answer your post. I bought a house that was a handyman special, and moved into it. Hopefully I’ll get a temporary power company hook-up installed this spring. One more dead tree to cut down before the power line going to my house can be reconnected.
As for the utility cart and solar panels, I have many tall trees in my yard, and also on neighboring property. I have to move the cart around to dodge the shadows as the sun moves to prevent them from partially blocking the panels..

Given how vicious he is, the inmates are likely to take care of the problem. He has obviously used his size and strength to intimidate others and that WILL NOT WORK in prison. He also seems to be too dumb to learn NOT to antagonize the wrong people.

They tested 30 people at the event. 16 showed indicators for myocarditis.
The story looks at two other screenings demonstrating a dramatic rise in myocarditis but not near as dramatic as this. Both of those screenings were done with in a couple of weeks of receiving the jab. Suggested take is that the risk of myocarditis worsens over time. Not news here, but the public is still way behind the power curve in learning this.

As things currently stand, partially legitimate. People are free to respond to each other in a civil manner, but they’re not allowed to taunt, bait, snark, and insult in doing so, as happened. If I ever get a muting or blocking capability, I may remove the requirement of civility, and let it be enforced “socially”, by people just turning off the snarkers.
The reply in question to Bfly, started out fine, but finished with an insult. Warnings of moderation for further incidents have been issued, but the right of people to respond in a civil fashion remains upheld.
That’s probably not the answer Bfly wanted to hear. IMO, she probably wanted me to enforce “Gingersmom cannot reply to me, mention me, address me, or otherwise interact with me.”
Add to that, pgroup gently suggested toughening up, and I agreed. I think that was the final straw.
If people want to have “policy blocks”, where people can basically tell other people “don’t reply to me ever again”, in which case the status would be made known to me, and violators would go into moderation if they did attempt to interact, I’m willing to put that up for a vote.
I personally believe that the right to “not listen” is part of free speech, but it’s my impression that most people here are not comfortable with people’s replies being restricted. I’m pretty sure it would turn into a disaster if people took too much advantage of it. Besides, what ends up happening is that antagonists diss each other where it’s unlikely to be seen by the opponent, if they’re unable to backstab directly. It just becomes a mess.
Free speech isn’t easy. But if I’m ultimately the only person speaking here freely, that’s fine with me.
Hopefully Bfly just decided to take a break. That can be a good idea.

Today marks the 51st Anniversary of the February 28,1972 signing of the “Shanghai Communique.” The first official foreign policy document between the US and China since 1949 that focused heavily on relations with Taiwan. I previously relayed information on this document and the second China/US communique that was signed in 1979 and the Congressional Legislative Taiwan Relations Act that was retroactively enforced to the same date as the second communique.
The Third and Final foreign policy Communique between China and the US was negotiated and published in 1982. However, unbeknownst to the People’s Republic of China, The US State Department and President Reagan confidentially contradicted the agreed upon language in the 3rd Communique and agreed on their own policy interpretations and language. The State Department communicated these internal interpretations EXCLUSIVELY to the ruling Kuomintang Party in Taiwan without the People’s Republic of China’s knowledge.
In 2020 President Trump ordered the declassification of the communications between the 1982 State Department and Taiwan and for the first time, we discover that the US gave Taiwan Six Secretive Assurances that ran absolutely contrary to the 3rd Communique agreements.
The US told Taiwan that in the negotiations for the 3rd communique, The US:
-Had not agreed to set a date for ending arms sales to Taiwan
-Had not agreed to consult with the People’s Republiuc of China on arms sales
-Had not agreed to play a mediation role between Taipei and Beijing
-Had not agreed to revise the Taiwan Relations Act
-Had not agreed to alter its position regarding Island Sovereignty
-Had not agreed to exert pressure on Taiwan to negotiate with the PRC.
In spite of the 3rd Communique signed between China and the US, Reagan issued an internal memo that amplified the message that arms sales were absolutely conditioned on China’s behavior to arrive at a peaceful solution on Taiwan differences and that the quantity and quality of arms provided to Taiwan was soley conditioned on the threat posed by China.
The Taiwan Relations Act, the secretive six assurances and Reagan’s internal Presidential guidance constitute the sole US policy on Taiwan Island. The three officially signed communiques from China don’t figure in.
The secretive six assurances from the US State Department and the 1982 Presidential guidance memo have likely undermined any remaining faith the People’s Republic of China had regarding the sincerity of the US commitment to the 3 Shanghai communique documents the People’s Republic of China considered sacrosanct.

Gallagher is the chairman of the new House Select Committee on China, which was formed after Republicans took control of the House in January.
He told the Washington Post in a post-trip interview that the biggest takeaway from the trip, after meeting with Taiwanese leaders, is their frustration by delays in weapons shipments that Taiwan has purchased from the U.S., at the amount of $19 BILLION.
Those delayed weapons include anti-ship Harpoon missiles, Javelin anti-tank weapons, Stinger surface-to-air missiles, and F-16 fighter jets.

But in fact, little by little, corroboration continues to trickle in from this war of something I’ve said and believed since the beginning—that it’s actually the complete opposite: Russian officers have more autonomy than their NATO equivalents. There’s a wealth of evidence that supports this, but unfortunately would derail this narrow-scoped topic.
The quote about platoon commanders above, confirms that Russian commanders are trustingly delegating the designation of artillery targets down to unit level—this is something even the U.S./NATO doesn’t have, not least of which reason being that Western armies don’t even have artillery at below the brigade level, at which point you need a Major General or at least a Colonel’s permission to even strike a target.
Here, Russia is letting mere Lieutenants decide for themselves. This is massive. A type of revolutionary small unit autonomy NATO/U.S. can’t even dream of, and has sent ex-U.S. Army ‘experts’ like this one into wildly fevered paroxysms of excuse-making and cognitive-dissonance-inducing rage to try and explain away.
The fact is, it’s become obvious that it is now the U.S. and NATO which are the stilted and stultified, rigidly bureaucratic, un-evolving monstrosities they so desperately try to portray Russia as. And Russia is in fact the highly dynamic, battlefield-evolving force built around strong small-unit leadership and NCO initiative that the West feigns to paint themselves as. What a wonder!”
