Remember David Horowitz who made a similar journey from a Communist Diaper Baby to a an American conservative writer and activist. He had introduced a friend, betty van petter, who was a book keeper to the Black Panthers (Hugy Newton). She was latter murdered turning him into a crusading Conservative.

It’s very confusing, but that’s probably because I’m not the target demographic.
Whatever is going on with Israel, at any given point in time, seems unknowable, like a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, within an enigma, inside a hundred Russian nesting dolls.
It’s impossible to ever know the truth, because their top priority is survival, not truth.
And if it is impossible to ever know the truth about what is really going on with Israel, then it mostly seems like a waste of time trying.

Yes, I went to have Christmas with my Aunt Linda, my cousin David, and his kids and grandkids. His son Kennith and wife have three little boys. The youngest is only 3 months (the older two boys are 4 and 5) and baby Westin wrapped his tiny fingers around one of my fingers. So sweet. I don’t think I have any Virginia cooties. hehe
They opened gifts one at a time, from youngest to oldest while the others sat around and watched all the toy trucks, racetracks, horse trailers, excavators, and other boy toys. Aunt Linda told them that if they visit me, they would get to see all the real trucks and equipment that the guys in this neighborhood drive around.
It was delightful with great food including ham, homemade rolls, deviled eggs, and much much more. It was foggy but not too bad and a little over an hour on state highways with little traffic and lots of interesting farms and tiny towns along the way. 💕
Sounds like a great time! We always opened presents one at a time too, which can make for a long day when there are many people. Our ham dinner included corn, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, saffron rolls, & a tossed salad bar. We had all 4 kids, 2 kids in law, & 3 granddaughters for about 5 hours or so. It was sweet 🙂 I gave some details on our celebration on Friday’s post, some interesting stuff behind the spoiler too. Blessings!

officers were conducting a targeted immigration enforcement operation in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Agents positively identified the driver of a van as Tiago Alexandre Sousa-Martins, an illegal alien from Portugal. In the passenger seat was Solomon Antonio Serrano-Esquivel, an illegal alien from El Salvador.
Officers approached the vehicle and instructed Sousa-Martins to turn off the engine. The driver refused and attempted to flee, then weaponized his vehicle and began ramming his van into several ICE vehicles.
He then drove his van directly at ICE officers, attempting to run them over.
Fearing for their lives and public safety, the ICE officers defensively fired their service weapons, striking the driver. Sousa-Martins then wrecked his van between two buildings, injuring the passenger.
Officers rendered immediate medical aid to both the driver of the vehicle and the passenger, who were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Both are in stable condition and expected to recover.
Thankfully, the ICE officers were not severely injured.
This incident is still under investigation.
Our brave officers are risking their lives every day to keep American communities safe by arresting and removing illegal aliens from our streets. Continued efforts to encourage illegal aliens and violent agitators to actively resist ICE will only lead to more violent incidents, the extremist rhetoric must stop.

The Somali immigrant fraud scandal in Minnesota has put an uncomfortable spotlight on foreign remittance payments schemes that siphon billions of dollars a year from America to overseas. Although national attention has been focused on Minnesota, another state is poised to launch a crackdown.
Missouri State Treasurer Vivek Malek told Just the News he is teaming up with the state legislature to impose new requirements that remittance payment businesses ensure that customers are lawfully in the United States before they can send money to foreign countries, and he hopes other states will follow suit.

“Missouri is stepping up by cutting off one of the biggest remaining incentives for illegal immigration, which is unverified foreign money transfers, because the economy is something that drives everybody to come to the United States,” Malek said in a wide-ranging interview with the John Solomon Reports podcast this week.
Malek said his research found that more than $200 billion leaves the United States annually through remittances, with Mexico alone receiving over $52 billion. Some sizable portion of that involves illegal immigrants, most of whom crossed the border during the Biden years.
“It has been found that at least $4.4 billion in remittances sent to Mexico have been tied to cartel money laundering through small wire transfers,” he said. “Cartels don’t sneak money across the border or throw the bag across the border. They wire it. And if we are serious about crushing cartels, we have to shut down their financial arteries.”
Malek, a lawful U.S. immigrant who worked 16 years to become a U.S. citizen, ran last year for the state treasurer’s job on a promise he would help President Donald Trump end the scourge of illegal immigration. Part of that effort includes stopping illegal immigrants from sending money overseas that they earned in the U.S. without paying taxes, he said.
“I’m making this distinction very clear: legal versus illegal immigration. I am all for legal immigration. I am not for illegal immigration. And what we saw is the diversity of the last four years, during the Biden administration, the floodgates were open on the southern border,” he explained.
The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, in conjunction with the House Committee on Homeland Security, reports that over 1.7 million known “gotaways” — illegal immigrants who have evaded Border Patrol — are now living in the interior of the United States without documentation and without having undergone any vetting by immigration officials.
“We did not know who entered, who came, and then these people are working here. They undercut the paychecks of American citizens, and then we are just left with a bill on our hands, and then, without paying any taxes. This money is going out of the country [but] we do not know to where,” Malek added.

COMMENTARY FOR ISAIAH 9
The Son that should be born, and his kingdom. (1-7) The judgments to come upon Israel, and on the enemies of the kingdom of Christ. (8-21)
(1-7) The Syrians and Assyrians first ravaged the countries here mentioned, and that region was first favoured by the preaching of Christ. Those that want the gospel, walk in darkness, and in the utmost danger. But when the gospel comes to any place, to any soul, light comes. Let us earnestly pray that it may shine into our hearts, and make us wise unto salvation. The gospel brings joy with it. Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Sorry, but I agree with him about the Liberty. And yes, I read and studied about it.
By Schlichter’s own standards, there have been no conspiracies against Trump. And that, my friends, is hogwash. Time undoes conspiracies, and once they have become facts, “everybody knows them”, and people like Schlichter forget the days when they themselves pooh-poohed the “conspiracy theorists” who had it right, but who didn’t get those “believable” writer’s paychecks, and who paid for their shitty little blogs with their own money. COUGH.
Schlichter is prone to the two things that will blind one to actual conspiracies – an insistence on being believed, and an insistence on being heard. One has to actually throw those away, to insist on being correct, instead.
Robert Malone is an example. Now successful on Substack, with a big following, he went through dark times when he peddled his “conspiracy theories” that all turned out to be true.
Having actually been involved in a conspiracy, I can clearly see that if Schlichter ever was a participant in one, it was only in being USED at a very low level, believing all the orders he was given, and all the plausible but incomplete or untrue things he was told.
Conspiracies require almost no people to pull them off. They only require a few very believable lies in the right places, and people who will benefit from those lies.
Ask Obama. He knows. Brennan, too.
I remain “jury out” on the Liberty, if only because “friendly fire” as a murder technique is both so difficult to prove and so common. It is used all the time as cover in murders, as I have learned by watching true crime. Moreover, there are typically multiple interested parties involved, when it is pulled off successfully. And in the Liberty’s case, that means betrayal by Americans. THAT angle is what finally made it potentially believable to me. Johnson was evil trash, who could (IMO) easily betray Americans for his “higher purposes”.
Just one lie, in the right place, at the right time. That’s all it takes. Try to work it out. You’ll see how easy it might have been.
Perhaps I’ve watched too much “true crime”. But the lies. They’re ALWAYS there. And they work for a while – hours, days, weeks, months, years. So a story spins up first. Always. And people literally plan these things. It’s just that most people aren’t very good at it, or as smart as people at the top. They get caught by the cops. But some get away. For a while. Their involvement is a “conspiracy theory” until something rings a bell with some curious cop, and the proof comes in.
Reading the history of the Crusades is a good exercise in conspiracy reading. The scheming – the lies – it was everywhere, all the time. As bad as the Romans. Maybe worse.
Conspiracies are real. Most people only conspire to hide Christmas presents from their spouses. Maybe hide the booze. The picture of the old boyfriend. Innocent stuff.
But then there’s worse. We all have our family stories. Right? I just never mention mine.
I’m wistful tonight, listening to that music Duchess posted, and remembering my own conspiracy crap, not realizing that by covering up our tiny shit, we helped save the infant DEI monster that just got shut down after almost 40 years of damage to the whole planet. It was like saving baby Godzilla.

They hoped to squash us like bugs where nobody was looking, to make their problem all go away, but when that failed, multiple layers of back-up kicked in, and it all went away anyway.
The analogous situation would be somebody on the Liberty who realized that certain protocols hadn’t been followed properly – that there was a risk. They follow it up, and try to do a correction. They get instructions to go to a certain place on the ship. And that’s where the first armament hits the ship.
Only later, do they realize what’s going on. Only later, warnings to not volunteer for the mission, and to not report anything, make sense.
“It’s coming from inside the house.” That’s the key. But that’s also the scary part.
Most people in a conspiracy are chumps – even most of the supposed “conspirators”.

Officials in Maine have suspended state Medicaid payments to a Somali-run charity after more than a million dollars in possible fraud was discovered in several audits of the charity’s services.
The Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has cancelled MaineCare payments to Gateway Community Services after the audits found that the charity over billed the state for $1,068,598 from March 2021 through December 2022. The cash was supposedly to cover the costs of “interpreting services” to Somali migrants, the Bangor Daily News reported.
This same organization has been under investigation before. Gateway reportedly overbilled for more than $600,000 between 2015 and 2018, and is still under a cloud of suspicion for other violations found during a third state audit completed in 2024.
The suspension of funding comes on the tail of the red flags thrown up about the charity by U.S. Rep. James Comer of Kentucky, the top Republican on the House oversight committee, who warned the U.S. Treasury of welfare fraud being committed by Gateway.
Gateway was founded in 2015 by Somali migrant Abdullahi Ali who became the subject of scrutiny for launching a 2024 bid to run for president of Jubaland, an autonomous region in the southern part of Somalia, at the same time his Gateway Services charity was defrauding the state of a million in improperly billed services.
Gateway was not only staffed and run by Somali migrants, though. The agency also has connections to a number of prominent Democrats in Maine, including Democrat State Senator Chloe Maxmin, and Democrat strategists Joanne D’Arcangelo and B.J. McCollister, the latter of whom served in the Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign for the White House and a chief of staff to Maine Democrat Senate President Troy Jackson.
Assistant Maine Senate Minority Leader Republican Matt Harrington has been raising concerns about Gateway and other possible MaineCare cheats since May.
“This is taxpayer money, and we should be looking into this, and I’m relieved that the federal government is finally stepping in, I think, largely due to the inaction of the leaders in Maine,” Harrington said.

Werner Klemperer was a concert violinist and classically trained baritone (his father was the famous conductor Otto Klemperer), John Banner was also a trained singer, as was Robert Clary, a brilliant all-rounder song and dance man, who lost all of his family to “the ovens” in WWII…..
IIRC, in their younger years both Klemperer and Banner were thinner, leading men in the movies…
