We continue to mourn the untimely passing of our beloved compatriot DePat, known in real life as Susie Sampson, and also as author Patricia Holden.

Until we have a dedicated author for the Tuesday daily open thread, I will be posting “placeholders” like this one, which may or may not be spiced up with additional content.

We now have a dedicated author for Tuesdays – TradeBait! (Or TradeBait2 as he is officially known to the software.) Please welcome him on April 1, 2025, when he begins!

Gudthots will take DePat’s old Thursday daily open thread.

This will be the last Tuesday placeholder – hopefully for a long, long time. Thank you all and God Bless!

Is the Rapture in the New Testament?

Aubergine

The more I research the Bible, the more convinced I become that there is some force, entity, or group, embedded even in Christianity itself, that doesn’t want the real truths of the Bible to ever be known.

It started when I found the mistranslation, found in almost every version of the Bible, of Jesus’s clear statements of “I am.” He used the name of God, given to Moses by the Man Himself, more than once; but in translation it has been watered down to “I am He,” or “it is I.”

Here that is in Matthew 14, when Jesus walks on water:

25 Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.

27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, [c]“Be of good cheer! [d]It is I; do not be afraid.”

See that little letter ‘d’? If I click on that, it comes up with the reference “Lit. I am.”

LITERALLY I AM.

But translated as “It is I.” WHY? This appears in almost every Bible translation, with a couple of exceptions. Here is one outlier; the Amplified Bible, Classic Edition:

26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified and said, It is a ghost! And they screamed out with fright.

27 But instantly He spoke to them, saying, Take courage! I Am! Stop being afraid!

It happens again in John 18 in the Garden of Gethsemane:

Then Jesus, knowing all that was about to happen to Him, went to them and asked, “Whom do you want?” They answered Him, “Jesus the Nazarene.” Jesus said, “I am He.” And Judas, who was betraying Him, was also standing with them. When Jesus said, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground. Again He asked them, “Whom do you want?” And they said, “Jesus the Nazarene.” Jesus answered, “I told you that I am He; so if you want Me, let these men go on their way.”

All those italicized “He’s” are added. And if you think about it, it doesn’t make any sense with them anyway. They come looking for Jesus, He says “I am He” and they all fell down on the ground? Why? They were looking for the man. BUT, they were all Jews; they knew what “I AM” meant full well, so they fell to the ground before God in terror of what they were doing when Jesus said it.

Changing “I AM” to “I am He” sure waters down down the impact, doesn’t it?

And now I come to the Rapture.

I was challenged recently about the actuality of the Rapture, and whether it appears in the Bible. If you ask Google “is the Rapture in the New Testament,” here is the answer from AI:

The idea of the rapture is described in the New Testament, but the word “rapture” does not appear in the Bible.

This is essentially a lie, and I can prove it.

The concept of the rapture is introduced in the Bible in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Corinthians 15:51-53, and Matthew 24:40-42.

Thessalonians 4

13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen [a]asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who [b]sleep in Jesus.

15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are [c]asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Corinthians 15

51 Behold, I tell you a [a]mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Matthew 24

40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what [a]hour your Lord is coming.

My chief point today appears in the verse from Thessalonians, and these words in bold:

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

Thessalonians was written in Greek. The Greek Text Analysis of “caught up” reveals ἁρπαγησόμεθα. Well, that’s Greek to me!

https://biblehub.com/text/1_thessalonians/4-17.htm

That Greek word is harpazo (ah, English letters), which means to snatch or take away. Elsewhere in the Bible the same word is used to describe how the Spirit caught up Philip near Gaza and brought him to Caesarea (Acts 8:39) and to describe Paul’s experience of being caught up into the third heaven (2 Cor. 12:2-4). So it would seem that the word is being used to describe people being “moved” from the Earth to “the clouds.”

A Greek to Latin translator reveals that the Greek word ἁρπαγησόμεθα in Latin is rapimur. The word “rapimur” for “caught up” in Thessalonians first appears in the Latin Vulgate Bible, translated by Jerome in 382. He was commissioned by Pope Damasus to translate the Four Gospels into Latin from the best available Greek texts, and by the time Damasus died in 384, he was mostly finished. In a letter to Pope Damasus in 383, Jerome wrote:

“You urge me to revise the old Latin version, and, as it were, to sit in judgment on the copies of the Scriptures which are now scattered throughout the whole world; and, inasmuch as they differ from one another, you would have me decide which of them agree with the Greek original. The labour is one of love, but at the same time both perilous and presumptuous; for in judging others I must be content to be judged by all; and how can I dare to change the language of the world in its hoary old age, and carry it back to the early days of its infancy?”

Jerome completed his Vulgate Bible by 404 A.D.

https://vulgate.org

In the English language, we derive many words from Latin roots. The Latin word “rapimur” is the root word of…you guessed it…

RAPTURE.

The Rapture as a concept would not really be pushed to the fore until John Nelson Darby analyzed Bible translations in the 1830s. But the word that is the root of the word “Rapture” appeared in 384 in Jerome’s translation. I don’t think the “Harpazo” would have quite the same ring to it!

So there you have it. The word “Rapture” IS in the New Testament.

I find this prevarication to be as sly as ole Bill Clinton’s “depends on what the meaning of “is” is!” And both of the above examples, found across Christian belief and thought, make me wonder WHY and WHO? Because this isn’t just pagans and non-Christian sources. This is almost everywhere, even in Christianity itself.

FUN FACT

When the Gutenberg Bible was printed in the 1450’s, it was an edition of Jerome’s Latin Vulgate Bible. So the first books ever printed with moveable type contained the word we derive Rapture from.

*******IN FAIRNESS TO GROK AI*******

I thought to head over and ask Grok about the word rapture in the Bible. Lo and behold, it told the truth!

Does the word Rapture appear in the New Testament?

Yes, the word “Rapture” does appear in the New Testament, but not in the way you might think. The English word “Rapture” as commonly understood today—referring to the event where believers are caught up to meet Jesus Christ in the air—doesn’t appear explicitly in modern English translations of the Bible. However, the concept is derived from the Latin word raptura, meaning “a carrying off” or “seizure,” which comes from the verb rapere (“to snatch” or “to seize”). This Latin term was used in the Vulgate, a 4th-century Latin translation of the Bible, to translate the Greek word harpazō (ἁρπάζω), which means “to snatch away” or “to catch up.”

The key passage associated with the Rapture is found in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 (New Testament), where Paul writes:
“Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.” (ESV)
In the Greek text, “caught up” is harpagēsometha (from harpazō), and in the Latin Vulgate, it’s rendered as rapiemur (from rapere). This is where the term “Rapture” originates.

So, while “Rapture” as an English word isn’t directly in the New Testament, the idea and the root word it’s based on (harpazō) are present, particularly in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. The modern use of “Rapture” to describe this event became popularized in English-speaking Christian theology much later, especially through 19th- and 20th-century dispensationalist teachings.

Does that clarify things for you? Let me know if you’d like me to dig deeper!

Rural v. Urban.

Last week’s discussion of separatist movements was thin on the details regarding the motivations of those wanting to redraw the lines for their state. But the most common issue mentioned seems to be that nearly all of the time, the urban areas of a state are running the state without much consideration of the people living in the more rural areas.

Fourteen States – or more.

Will Trump will sew a 51st star on our flag?

From the article referenced last week, there are active separatist movements in at least 14 states: California, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington.

The goals aren’t the same in each place — and some movements are far more serious than others. Dozens of counties in Illinois and Oregon, for example, have already voted in favor of some form of separation from their current states.

The rural v. urban dynamic is called out in an essay from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, College of Law (2018), “Splitsylvania: State Secession and What to Do About It

[Intrastate] secession is the true secession fever: Not the perennial postelection calls of losing parties to secede from a nation controlled by the opposition, but a growing movement for secession from states, with the parts of states (sometimes geographically very large parts of states) wanting to separate from the population-dense urban areas that essentially control state decisionmaking. Feeling ignored, put-upon, and mistreated, secessionists want to take their fate into their own hands. These movements are common, but not likely to succeed on their own, as intrastate secession is, though not entirely unknown (see, e.g., West Virginia) very difficult to pull off.

But these movements do indicate a widespread sense of dissatisfaction among (mostly rural) populations who feel that they are governed by people in distant urban centers who know little, and care less, about their way of life. Such sentiments, which in a way resemble those regarding Britain in the lead-up to the American Revolution, have probably worsened since the Supreme Court’s decisions in the line of cases beginning with Baker v. Carr weakened rural areas’ political position in favor of urban areas. This problem was, to a degree, foreseen by contemporary critics of those decisions.

In conclusion the author proposes:

In this short Essay, I have argued that allowing different standards for urban and rural areas in key subjectmatter areas, something that can be done by both state and federal governments without any constitutional changes, is likely to accomplish that goal. I believe that little of value would be lost by this approach, and much, potentially, might be saved.

An Example.

“Leave Illinois Without Moving – Demand a New State”

In Illinois, the proposal is for all but one county to leave the state of Illinois with essentially only Chicago (about 1/2 of the state population) remaining under the current state government of Illinois. The New Illinois organization will be holding their 7th Constitutional Convention in a little over two weeks from now.

The History of New Illinois

Not long ago, those of us who founded New Illinois were talking about moving away. Just like more than half the state’s residents, we found that in Illinois the taxes were too high, the opportunities limited, and the government corruption outrageous. Then one day the thought struck – Why should WE have to leave? Our families and our roots are here, going back to 1870. Why not stay and fight for our home? In June 2018, we formed New Illinois, a nonprofit organization with the mission of educating Illinoisans about their RIGHT, under the U.S. Constitution, to pursue the formation of a new state. Rather than moving away, we wanted to leave Illinois without moving.

Their vision is compelling for many others living in rural areas who feel out of step with the urban-centered governments running their states.

OUR VISION
New Illinois envisions a NEW State free from a tyrannical form of government, where residents will be able to experience a government representing their Constitutional Rights.

Our Turn.

We can’t leave this to others. We can get informed on what has been found, what is being done about it, and what more needs to be done.

We can make a difference.
And we must make a difference.

May God bless and guide you
as you pray and take action for our nation.

Twitterati, etc.

May I recommend to you @40daysforlife. Each year during Lent, all around the world, a 40 Days for Life prayer vigil is observed to pray for the protection of the unborn.

These prayers and outreach have made a difference. Since the start of 40 Days For Life to now, they have recorded 25,386 babies saved, 162 abortion centers closed, and (perhaps the most stunning) 268 abortion workers have quit, often being assisted in finding a new career through help from 40 Days For Life volunteers.

Prayer.

God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home.

Cholesterol and Statins

by Gail Combs

Since many of us on the Qtree are older I wanted to document my adventures with the medical establishment. Hopefully my digging will help others avoid harmful drugs by providing the information you need to make an informed decision.

My Labs came back:

LDL = 114(H)

HDL = 98(H)

The Doc wanted to put me on STATINS and my answer was HELL NO!

What I found incredible is the lack of knowledge of the three doctors I have encountered so far. The first, despite my telling her I had a major problem with losing potassium, put me on a high level of Prednisone WITHOUT mentioning the fact I might have to take addition potassium (K) to offset the additional loss of K from the drug. This is well documented in the literature.

In the follow-up visit, not only was a statin recommended but the connection between chronic inflammation (my asthma) and higher cholesterol levels was completely ignored.

Don’t Worry About Cholesterol; Inflammation Is Your Biggest Problem — The Liver Doctor

As I mentioned, the vast majority of cholesterol in your body was made in your liver.  Cholesterol production increases when the body is under stress: emotional stress can cause elevated cholesterol because the stress hormone cortisol is made out of cholesterol. Physical stress on the body can also elevate cholesterol. Because cholesterol helps to repair and heal your body, you will produce more if there is a great deal of inflammation occurring in your body. So all those factors above that raise inflammation, can raise your cholesterol too.

Therefore the cure for elevated cholesterol can be quite simple –lower the inflammation and you’ll also lower the cholesterol.

Seems the research community is FINALLY looking into Cholesterol, inflammation and immunity.

Manuscript Submission Deadline 29 April 2025. This Research Topic is still accepting articles.

Background

Cholesterol metabolism and immune response are closely linked. Cholesterol is critical for the synthesis of lipid rafts, which activate receptors involved in antigen recognition, influences the production of NET and modulates the activation and polarization of macrophages. Oxysterols in turn regulate macrophage activation, migration, and cytokine production. While the immune response modulates the expression of genes involved in the synthesis, absorption and efflux of cholesterol. Cholesterol accumulation in immune cells promotes proinflammatory immune responses creating a vicious cycle that sustains immune inflammation. High-density lipoproteins (HDL) are typically reduced during inflammation, when reverse cholesterol transport is impaired, thus promoting hyperactivation of TLR2 and TLR4 by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and other microbial products, resulting in inhibition of stress-induced activating transcription (ATF) 3 and enhanced production of cytokines by macrophages. Further endangering an already delicate balance, HDL proinflammatory subfractions with lower content of apoA-1, antioxidant enzymes, and L-CAT, are produced, and further fuel inflammation.

Alterations in the biochemical network between cholesterol, inflammation and immunity are emerging as a pathogenetic mechanism of numerous human disorders, among which atherosclerosis, cardiovascular diseases and their complications, metabolic diseases and diabetes, infectious diseases and sepsis, autoimmune and auto-multiinflammatory disorders, acquired and congenital hypo-immune diseases, and cancer….

So the Cabal’s bio-weapon, SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, is likely to raise cholesterol levels given the body’s response to the spike protein is inflammation and in many cases chronic inflammation known as Long Covid.

Be aware of SARS-CoV-2 spike protein: There is more than meets the eye

Abstract

….other papers showed that the spike protein by itself (without being part of the corona virus) can damage endothelial cells and disrupt the blood-brain barrier. These findings may be even more relevant to the pathogenesis of long-COVID syndrome that may affect as many as 50% of those infected with SARS-CoV-2. In COVID-19, a response to oxidative stress is required by increasing anti-oxidant enzymes. In this regard, it is known that polyphenols are natural anti-oxidants with multiple health effects. Hence, there are even more reasons to intervene with the use of anti-oxidant compounds, such as luteolin, in addition to available vaccines and anti-inflammatory drugs to prevent the harmful actions of the spike protein.

As a side note:

Luteolin, a flavonoid with potentials for cancer prevention and therapy

Abstract

Luteolin, 3′,4′,5,7-tetrahydroxyflavone, is a common flavonoid that exists in many types of plants including fruits, vegetables, and medicinal herbs. Plants rich in luteolin have been used in Chinese traditional medicine for treating various diseases such as hypertension, inflammatory disorders, and cancer. Having multiple biological effects such as anti-inflammation, anti-allergy and anticancer, luteolin functions as either an antioxidant or a pro-oxidant biochemically…. Vegetables and fruits such as celery, parsley, broccoli, onion leaves, carrots, peppers, cabbages, apple skins, and chrysanthemum flowers are luteolin rich….

Next I want to get into the vilification of cholesterol and it’s history. The following is a great article and well worth reading. This is just a sample.

Is Your Cholesterol Level Really ‘High’? Tearing Down the Cholesterol Myth

The mean would be 224 so my LDL is actually on the very low end of the scale! And even if the chart is actually looking at the combined amount of LDL + HDL, then my 114+98 = 212 is still lower than average.
From the article:

This same range of cholesterol levels has been seen in people who do have heart disease and people who do not have heart disease, as documented by Professor Brisson using data from the Framingham Study – which is one of the largest studies ever done in it.

Since the Framingham Study, other studies have also confirmed that people WITH heart disease have the same cholesterol levels as people WITHOUT heart disease.

For example, in the UK, the typical person who has a heart attack tends to have the same cholesterol level that is seen for healthy middle-aged and older people in the general population.  Something that is not unique to the UK.

A study published in the Lancet, included 5,754 patients from Australia and New Zealand who had already had a heart attack. The average cholesterol level of this group of people was around 220 mg/dl (5.7 mmol/l). Data from the WHO Global Infobase shows that around the same time, the average cholesterol level for the general population was also 220 mg/dl (5.7 mmol/l).

So people who suffered a heart attack had the same average cholesterol level as the general healthy population.

How Ancel Keys Brainwashed the Masses Into Fearing Meat (He’s Wrong)

How Ancel Keys FAKED IT!

CORRUPTION

Reducing meat intake and cholesterol hurts sex hormone production. This is why we have the least masculine men in history today.

This is a direct and explicit consequence of the shift to eating garbage.

Processed food is INHUMANE. It’s the fastest way to kill off our population, which it looks like these people are trying to do.

The Real Research Has Been Buried

One of the most comprehensive studies on heart disease was COMPLETELY buried.

Data from the Minnesota Coronary Experiment was unearthed in 2017 after 40 years of sitting dormant.

Ancel Keys, the progenitor of the diet-heart hypothesis, was the lead on the study. It was one of the most comprehensive to date: randomized, controlled and 9,400 participants.

Subjects were in mental health institutions or nursing homes, which helped to ensure the dietary guidelines were followed to a tee for 56 months.

The control group continued to eat a diet high in saturated fats and animal fats. The intervention group ate a serum cholesterol lowering diet that replaced saturated fat with vegetable oils (from corn oil and corn oil polyunsaturated margarine).

Results:

  • The intervention group had a 14% reduction in cholesterol
  • But this didn’t reduce death rate. There was a 22% HIGHER risk of death for each 30 mg/dL reduction in cholesterol….

A Sharyl Attkisson clip of 9 minutes, giving some history. In 2004, recommended cholesterol levels were lowered based on a study by doctors connected to the drug manufacturers. When this conflict of interest was pointed out the FDA ignored it. And then the recommended levels were lowered even further in 2013. Half of the ‘advisors’ recommending the levels were compensated by the Drug manufacturers. And then there is the American Heart Association who develops the standards and its relationship to the drug manufacturers.

What is worse, is not only are statins a money waster, they are also very bad for you.

The Truth about Statin Drugs

Since their introduction in the 1980s, statin drugs have been almost universally hailed as “wonder drugs” by medical authorities around the world. The global market for statins was $16 billion in 2016, and approximately 40 million Americans (that’s one in every five adults!) takes a statin….

Dangers of Statin Drugs: What You Haven’t Been Told About Popular Cholesterol-Lowering Medicines

Why Statins are Bad for You…Really Bad

As you know, we have seen statin cholesterol drugs do really bad things to stem cells in culture. On the other end of that spectrum, we’ve also seen high triglycerides due to metabolic syndrome hurt stem cells. One of our patients who was instructed to get off statin drugs before her stem cell procedure recently sent this article by MIT professor Dr. Stefanie Seneff, which is so well done and does such a great job of explaining why statins are bad for you, I had to share. It is also so scientifically dense; I thought a quick summary would be helpful for my readers.  Here goes:

  • Statins have tiny health benefits that are way over played. My comments-Basically, you get about the same cardiac protective effect from a square or two of dark chocolate a day.
  • Statins decrease cholesterol by blocking an important enzyme pathway, yet cholesterol is needed for the normal health functioning of all cells. In particular, cholesterol is a key component of all healthy cell membranes.
  • Cholesterol is also needed to make vitamin D3, sex hormones, and steroid hormones.
  • The brain is only 2% of the body’s total weight, but houses 25% of the body’s cholesterol.
  • LDL cholesterol is what we have been trained to believe is “bad” cholesterol, when in fact it’s an important transport container for many key items.
  • The outer shell of the LDL transport container is vulnerable to attack by high blood sugars, so in patients with poor blood sugar control (metabolic syndrome) these important transport containers for key nutrients get gummed up by these extra sugars in the blood.
  • These “gummed up” LDL containers get attacked by cells of the body in the walls of blood vessels which lead to “plaques” that clog arteries.
  • Artificially lowering cholesterol by statin drugs causes the LDL transport containers to have too little protection. The function of these containers would normally be to transport excess blood sugars from the liver as fat and get rid of this throughout the body. However, these cholesterol deficient containers can’t perform this important function, magnifying the bad effects of excess sugar consumption. This is what makes high fructose corn syrup so dangerous, as fructose as a sugar is ten times more efficient in gumming up the LDL transport system.
  • This damaged sugar to fat transport system due to a lowered cholesterol level also results in too much fructose in the blood stream (which would normally be converted to fat in the liver and transported by the LDL transport system). This excess blood sugar causes damage to the proteins in the blood.
  • Co-enzyme Q10 synthesis is hampered by the blockage of the cholesterol enzyme pathway and this is needed to run cells and muscles. This can result in problems in the batteries of the cells and muscles (mitochondria).
  • Since the muscles can’t use CoQ10, they decide instead to use all of that extra fructose in the blood serum, which is now in plentiful (and damaging) supply because statins block it’s conversion into fat by the liver and it’s transport out of the liver by the LDL containers. When they do this, it’s without oxygen, so it’s anaerobic and lactic acid builds up, causing painful muscles.
  • The muscles do process the fructose, but they do so in a really inefficient way, requiring 19 times more energy to get the same muscle output-causing a sense of fatigue.
  • This alternative fuel system for the muscles leads to damaged muscle cells. After several years of lactic acid build-up due to statin use (the equivalent of being forced to run a constant marathon), the muscles “give out”. This author believes that this leads to a higher rate of severe muscle disorders like rhambdomyolysis as well as kidney failure (due to the renal system processing all of these muscle break down products). The author also believes that these muscle breakdown products can lead to nerve damage. She believes that this nerve damage can lead to a higher incidence of severe diseases such as ALS. My comments: These claims will take intensive study to see if they hold up.
  • The lack of cholesterol in the system eventually results in the heart and other tissues becoming dependent on an alternate fuel supply-sugar. There is also impaired uptake of glucose by the cells, which leads to the higher prevalence of diabetes that shows up in statin studies.
  • Cholesterol is critical for normal brain function. As mentioned already, the brain contains a lot of cholesterol as it makes up the important covering of the nerves (myelin sheath). Think of this as like the plastic covering of a wire, which insulates the wire and allows it to conduct electricity. This would explain the common reports of memory loss in patients taking statin drugs. A recent study that involved careful manual labeling of statin side effects from large studies showed a higher degree of neurological disorders in patients taking statins. These include neuropathy, parasthesia and neuralgia, and debilitating neurological diseases, ALS and Parkinson’s disease.
  • Longer life in one study that followed patients for 17 years was associated with higher cholesterol levels and full function of the enzymes that statin drugs inhibit. The author concludes that statins are a great way to fast track aging.
  • This author belives that eating foods rich in cholesterol and sulfur (like eggs) and sun exposure are ways to increase your cholesterol sulfate levels which can help clear arteries, not block them.

The upshot? Dr. Seneff believes that these statin side effects will eventually cause the recall of the drug class. Is she right? All I can say is that much of the science she explains makes sense and that we’ve seen what statin drugs can do to cells in culture and it isn’t pretty!

Rogue States.

Picking up from last week’s presentation, United Sovereign Americans (USA) states that they have the evidence for declaring 5 states as having “gone rogue,” as being out of compliance with the U.S. Constitution, as provably illegitimate:

18/ Illinois, New York, California, Pennsylvania and Michigan are rogue states. No one in those governments knows if their congressional representatives are legitimate. I don’t know, you don’t know, and neither do they. Certifying elections for Congress with millions of fictitious voters and votes is an act of defiance against the United States Constitution, and USA has gathered the proof, from the states’ own official records, that this is exactly what happened. – @UnitedSAmerican

Not only is all of the above true, but there are many other ways in which many of the states are failed. Bankrupt. Corrupt. And worse. The levels of dissatisfaction of the people in all of the states are sky high.

Secessionists.

credit: screen capture from video, “West Virginia: the Road to Statehood

At this point in the conversation, it’s important to note that any discussions of states leaving the Union will need to overcome this ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court. “Texas v. White, 74 U.S. 700 (1868)” which is summarized here:

The secession of the Southern states in 1861 sparked the Civil War. The Confederacy was defeated on the battlefield rather than in the courts. However, subsequent legal issues created by attempts at independence led the courts to express an opinion on the legality of secession. In Texas v. White, a dispute over a bond sale by the Confederate States, the Supreme Court ruled in 1869 that Texas’ secession had not been legal. According to the majority opinion, entry into the Union formed “an indissoluble relation”; it was “final,” “perpetual,” and left “no place for reconsideration or revocation, except through revolution or through the consent of the States.”

As of this writing there are groups in Texas, California, Louisiana, Alaska, and New Hampshire that have as their stated goal to get their state to secede from the Union. However, it seems, without armed conflict, the only path for success involves a Constitutional amendment (which would require getting approval by two-thirds of both houses of Congress and being ratified by 38 states). This doesn’t seem very likely.

A New State.

What does the U.S. Constitution say about creating a new state? Article IV Section 3 of the United States Constitution says: “New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union; but no new States shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or parts of States, without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress.”

Reading this in the context of those groups wanting to form a new state from territory currently part of another state it would require: (1) consent of the old state, (2) consent of the new state, and (3) consent of Congress.

The history of the creation of West Virginia’s statehood should be instructive (ref: National Archives, WVencyclopedia.org). I’m going to try and create the “Cliff Notes” version of the difficult and contentious history of the creation of the new state of West Virginia.*

  1. Virginia joins confederacy, seceding from Union.
  2. Western part of Virginia doesn’t agree with leaving the Union, but there is no longer a legitimate old state government to get consent from.
  3. Western Virginia deliberates and develops a “reorganized” government of Virginia made up of representatives from non-secessionist areas in the state of Virginia (from June of 1861 to May of 1862).
  4. On May 13, 1862, the state legislature of the reorganized government approves the formation of the new state from the non-secessionist areas of Virginia and a government of the new state of West Virginia is formed. (This new state of West Virginia obviously “consents” to the formation of the new state.)
  5. An application for admission to the Union is then made to Congress. On July 14, 1862, the US Congress adopts a statehood bill for West Virginia, which includes the condition of gradually freeing all blacks under the age of 21 on July 4, 1863.
  6. President Lincoln signs the enabling act on December 31, 1862.
  7. The revised constitution for West Virginia, which meets the demand for gradual emancipation, is adopted on March 26, 1863.
  8. On April 20, 1863, President Lincoln issues a proclamation admitting West Virginia to the Union at the end of 60 days, on June 20, 1863.
  • *Please respond in the comments if there are errors in the above summary, I make no claims to know much at all of what I am writing about here.
  • Dear Wolf and kind readers: some of the above was built from text given to me from Brave AI’s summarizer. I have now gone to the referenced sources to check Brave’s work and updated the text where necessary for clarity and to give credit to sources.

Separatist Movements.

Will Trump will sew a 51st star on our flag?

Time will not permit going into much detail on the various separatist movements active today (for creating new states or redrawing of state lines), but a pretty detailed article “Splitsville: separatist movements are gaining steam in blue states” written by Dave Seminara (published in “The Spectator” in January of this year) covers some of it (reprint here). Dave muddies up some of the details, but it’s still a great place to start reading. From the article:

According to Grant Dahl, co-host of the Secession Speakeasy podcast, there are separatist … movements in Oregon, Illinois, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, New Hampshire, Louisiana, California, Washington, Minnesota, New York and Pennsylvania.

The goals aren’t the same in each place — and some movements are far more serious than others. Dozens of counties in Illinois and Oregon, for example, have already voted in favor of some form of separation from their current states.

Apparently there are also movements in Michigan and Maryland, which are not in Dahl’s list.

Interesting Times.

Hidden Colors, Rainbows and MAPs

Follow The Dichroic Rabbit – From the Roman Empire, through Cabal Kingmakers, to Ukrainian Bio Labs and Beyond

This is going to be a weird, if not wild post. And I’m bringing a friend!

In some ways it’s very “Gail” – in other ways it’s very “Valerie”. It’s also very “Steve” and a bit “para59r”. But I will try to keep it as WOLFM00N as possible, whatever that means.

Valerie said THIS on Thursday, March 6, 2025:

My response explains this very post and it’s odd title:

I will try to get through this quickly.

This cup Valerie is asking about, is well-described on Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lycurgus_Cup

By Chappsnet – Own work, CC BY 4.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=142942126

The most magnificent of all ancient #Roman ‘cage cups’ is the 4th c. CE Lycurgus Cup, made of dichroic glass. In normal light, the glass appears milky green, when backlit, it glows a ruby red. The effect was achieved by adding silver and gold nanoparticles to the glass.

By Brit_Mus_13sept10_brooches_etc_044.jpg: Johnbodderivative work: Johnbod (talk) – Brit_Mus_13sept10_brooches_etc_044.jpg, CC BY-SA 3.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=11549754

When viewed in reflected light, as in this flash photograph, the cup’s dichroic glass is green in colour, whereas when viewed in transmitted light, the glass appears red.

Dichroism – literally “two colors” – can come from a variety of physical phenomena.

LINK: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dichroism

The first time I ever saw this, during high school, it was also red-green dichroism – from chlorophyll. Yes – a simple suspension of chlorophyll in aqueous alcohol looks vivid green, until a flashlight is shown directly into it, in which case it glows RED from fluorescence of the chlorophyll.

Many phenomena will give rise to dichroism, which can be of many different kinds and degrees. All that is needed is for there to be a change in the spectrum of light leaving an object, which somehow depends on the specifics of the illumination of the object. “Di-” is used loosely, in that dichroism can include two or more – and includes “tri-“, “quatra-“, and even “poly-“.

Even more confusing, dichroism can refer to different lights being shined ONTO something together.

Steve has mentioned circular polarization of light. This can be used to investigate stereochemistry (the “handedness” of molecules) using a phenomenon/technique called circular dichroism. A.k.a. CD.

LINK: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circular_dichroism

To be almost too brief, CD is this. An equal mix of right-handed and left-handed light (thus dichroic) will notice the difference between right-handed and left-handed molecules, as well as the difference of either of these from unhanded molecules. CD can thus tell you about the handedness of a sample.

Note that an actual human heart is “handed”, but an idealized one is not.

So – “dichroism” is used two ways – for both (1) two (or more) kinds of light leaving an object, and (2) a sort of reverse scenario, in which two kinds of light impinge upon an object simultaneously. Wikipedia states it like this:

In optics, a dichroic material is either one which causes visible light to be split up into distinct beams of different wavelengths (colours) (not to be confused with dispersion), or one in which light rays having different polarizations are absorbed by different amounts.[1]

So now let’s answer, very specifically, Valerie’s original question: how does the Lycurgus Cup work? Well, I found a great answer. I don’t regard this as “settled science” – but this is very likely close to the truth.

LINK: https://everything.explained.today/Lycurgus_Cup/

Here is the relevant part.

The dichroic effect is achieved by making the glass with tiny proportions of nanoparticles of gold and silver dispersed in colloidal form throughout the glass material. The process used remains unclear, and it is likely that it was not well understood or controlled by the makers, and was probably discovered by accidental “contamination” with minutely ground gold and silver dust. The glass-makers may not even have known that gold was involved, as the quantities involved are so tiny; they may have come from a small proportion of gold in any silver added (most Roman silver contains small proportions of gold), or from traces of gold or gold leaf left by accident in the workshop, as residue on tools, or from other work. The very few other surviving fragments of Roman dichroic glass vary considerably in their two colours.[7]

The glass

It is estimated that to a conventionally composed Roman glass flux 330 parts per million of silver and 40 of gold were added: “These particles were precipitated as colloids and form a silver-gold alloy. When viewed in reflected light the minute metallic particles are just coarse enough to reflect enough of the light without eliminating the transmission. In transmitted light the fine particles scatter the blue end of the spectrum more effectively than the red end, resulting in red transmission, and this is the colour observed. Since it is impossible that the Roman artisans managed to add these incredibly low levels of silver and gold to the volume of the glass used to make the vessel deliberately, the levels were probably added at higher levels to a larger volume of glass-melt, and increasingly diluted by adding more glass.”[8] The particles are only about 70 nanometers across,[9] and embedded in the glass, so they cannot be seen by optical microscopy, and a transmission electron microscope is needed instead.[10] At this size they approach the size of the wavelengths of visible light, and a surface plasmon resonance effect takes place.[11]

TL;DR – the highly dilute metal nanoparticles interact with visible light, scattering blue and transmitting red. The result is greenish reflection and reddish transmission.

One other thing.

Although I can’t get into the details, my early learning about dichroisim is connected to my knowledge of “occultish things in academic science”. Thus, I was immediately calling for backup by Suspicious Cat as soon as I knew we were talking about dichroic glass.

Suspicious Cat - TheseTruths.jpg
Suspicious Cat – TheseTruths.jpg

The fact that the artistic subject of the Lycurgus Cup is mythology about what Aubergine refers to as “the old gods” is just a hint of the attraction this stuff holds for the more idolatrous humans.

Check out the cup’s recent history. COUGH, COUGH, COUGH.

The early history of the cup is unknown, and it is first mentioned in print in 1845, when a French writer said he had seen it “some years ago, in the hands of M. Dubois”.[41] This is probably shortly before it was acquired by the Rothschild family.[42] Certainly Lionel de Rothschild owned it by 1857, when the touring Gustav Friedrich Waagen saw it in his collection and described it as “barbaric and debased”.[43] In 1862 Lionel lent it to an exhibition at what is now the Victoria and Albert Museum, after which it virtually fell from scholarly view until 1950. In 1958, Victor, Lord Rothschild sold it to the British Museum for £20,000, £2,000 of which was donated by the Art Fund (then the NACF).[44]

The cup forms part of the museum’s Department of Prehistory and Europe rather than the Greece and Rome Department, and was previously on display, lit from behind, in Room 50. In 2015 it was on display with the new display of the Rothschild donation of the Waddesdon Bequest in Room 2A, with a changing internal lighting source that shows the colour change very effectively, though only one side of the cup can be seen. By October 2015 it was back in the re-opened Room 41.

While Room 41, where it was then displayed, was closed for refurbishment, from November 2012 to August 2013 it was on display with other British Museum pieces at The Art Institute of Chicago‘s Jaharis Galleries of Greek, Roman and Byzantine Art,[45] where it was very effectively displayed in a free-standing case, lit from above with changing light so that the colour change was clearly visible.[46][47] It is considered able to travel to important exhibitions and in 2008 was exhibited in “Reflecting Antiquity, Modern Glass Inspired by Ancient Rome” at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York, in 2003 at the Hayward Gallery in London in “‘Saved! 100 Years of the National Art Collections Fund”, and in 1987 in “Glass of the Caesars” in the British Museum, CologneMilan, and Rome.[48]

Oh, this fascination with dichroism doesn’t just start or end with the Roths.

Consider scarab beetles, many of which show dichroism due to nanostructural layering in their shell materials. Here is the rainbow scarab:

Interestingly, there is good evidence that such beetles, in which increasing color has to be balanced with decreases in structural strength, have undergone evolution of their shells primarily for color, rather than strength.

LINK: https://news.vt.edu/articles/2021/06/eng-research-beetle-shell-062021.html

And then I read this on Wikipedia.

The corporate headquarters of Amazon.com in Seattle, Washington, incorporates dichroic glass into the exterior of its high-rise building, reflecting light into various colors that depend on the time of day.[9]

The Museum at Prairiefire in Overland Park, Kansas,[10] which opened in May 2014, is devoted primarily to natural history. It borrows displays from larger museums and hosts at least two major traveling exhibits per year. Its striking glass exterior was designed to reference the intentional prairie fires[11] that were an integral part of farming life in Kansas. The glass is dichroic, which means that its color changes with the light of the day. The museum is itself a work of art.[12]

OK – let’s take a look at these.

Amazon first.

The dichroic glass is basically one tower in one building in a huge complex located in Arlington, VA, located conveniently close to CIA and Babylon On The Potomac. This is the SECOND headquarters campus of Amazon, after the first in Seattle.

The 22-story Jasper tower (left) features an iridescent, color-changing coating and the 22-story Merlin tower (right) is designed with metal fins and a color-shifting pearlescent coating. Photo by Jim Cunningham.

NOW – allow this video to inform you about the whole complex.

Have I seen that helical building before? I could swear I have! And I’m not talking about the POOP EMOJI!

LINK: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=tower+of+babel&t=brave&iax=images&ia=images

OK, enough fun with the Bezos Site Number Two.

Let’s look at this other thing.

The Museum at Prairiefire?

Nice dichroic glass they’ve got all over the place, in a kind of mock stained-glass way.

Notice the “optical illusion” windows, suggesting a third dimension that is not there. The symbol of Meta (Zuckerberg, Facebook) does a similar thing. See if you can visualize in your head, how the weird symbol makes more sense in 3 dimensions.

Prairiefire appears to be the name of a development district in the Eastern Kansas suburb of Overland Park, including a park, a wetlands, a shopping center, and the aforementioned museum.

ANYWAY…..

Surely they wouldn’t refer to themselves as “The MAP” – right? Because that would be…….

https://visitthemap.org

OK. But surely they wouldn’t advertise any connection to the company that built biolabs in Ukraine, connected to pedophile Hunter Biden and his USAID-partnered (yes, read the link) company Metabiota or whatever – I mean…..

OK, yeah, but surely they wouldn’t throw all this stuff together with “let’s attract kids with dinosaurs” and…..

OK, but they DEFINITELY don’t have a huge focus on a preschool program for…..

LOOK! Just because you wander near any of this “naturalist/materialist-interesting” stuff, and you kick it over, and a bunch of things that sure look like creepy-crawlies run out in all directions, doesn’t mean we need to be suspicious – right? RIGHT?

OK. I am just gonna be blunt. This operation in Kansas may be perfectly innocent – as pure as the driven snow. And with my love for natural history, I am bound to think it’s a wonderful place. I have always loved dinosaur museums for kids. But my grandkids ain’t goin’ inside this place (or even outside) unless I am sitting IN THAT CLASSROOM watching every dang second of every dang minute of every dang day. Because if this place ain’t CATNIP FOR PEDOS, I don’t know what is.

SIGH.

And with that, I yield the floor to my fellow QTreepers. Have a great Tuesday!

Federal Crimes

We pretty much already knew that the elections were not being run lawfully. Marly Hornik of United Sovereign Americans knows the law. Let’s take a look.

Exhibit A: California.

Securing Liberty in America. (link to thread)

United Sovereign Americans @UnitedSAmerican Mar 4

1/ SECURING LIBERTY IN AMERICA
Marly Hornik, co-founded the national election validity organization, United Sovereign Americans, with cyber and election security subject matter expert Harry Haury. Her presentation warning fellow Americans of the constitutional and legal disaster of our elections, made at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach on March 3, 2025, is contained in this thread:

2/ The current election process nationwide is an uncontrolled, unmonitored catastrophe that is producing false returns. The last bastion of freedom on Earth is at risk of being destroyed forever, as early as 2026. Under President Trump’s decisive leadership, we see the proof that our own government has been selling out our kids’ future by stealing trillions of dollars per year from the American people, making us pay for their often-twisted agenda. Nowhere have officials betrayed us as badly as in our elections, nationwide.

3/ USA is the first organization to measure election misconduct as defined under criminal law, to deeply study Supreme Court precedent, and document the scale of defined election fraud nationwide. After years of law enforcement meetings, official reports, legislative hearings, criminal referrals and staggering trial-ready evidence, massive election fraud is still being illegally certified as accurate. Asking whether election officials are bad people is irrelevant—their job is to prevent fraud, and they are legally required to prove it to us. That’s what we pay them for. Twenty-one Chief Election Officials have been fully briefed, nine have been sued, and every last one has proven disloyal to the sovereign they serve—the American people—and disloyal to the contract we made with our government, the United States Constitution.

4/ USA has tracked tens of millions of individual felonies. We were the first to discover and document the algorithms and central vote manipulation. We filed our detailed data with states, the FBI, Homeland Security, and the DOJ under the previous administration, and filed nine federal lawsuits demanding that election commissions follow the law. And what did we prove? Every last federalized state election official believes they are the sovereign, and they are the one who chooses our representatives. Every last one. They are perfectly content to continue violating our Constitution down to the root.

5/ Our founders were masters of philosophy. They said the job of a government is to protect the gift of life. Our government guarantees individual sovereignty, within the boundaries of a social contract. To fix our election problems, we must work inside this structure, or we will damage our gift in anger and undisciplined haste.

6/ The first sentence says we secure the blessing of liberty for ourselves and our posterity. The second sentence says all power to make laws is vested in Congress. The third sentence says that the people of the several states shall choose those lawmakers. Period. They work for us. If valid elections were not the key to securing liberty, the Constitution would be written in a different order.

7/ And that is why election officials who ignore and break federal law are prosecuted as criminals. When they register false voters, accept and count illegal ballots, certify false tallies, and destroy or hide records, they sacrifice our future in their arrogance, and they can land in federal prison. The job of an election official is to act in honor for our country. It’s not for the weak.

8/ A voter registration record cannot contain false or invalid information. If a record is not 100% legitimate, it is suspicious. Before it can be added to the official list of voters, it must be scrutinized according to strict legal process.

9/ USA audited the official state records of the certified 2022 midterms, in 21 states. We found 29 million material errors in the official lists of voters. Voters registered before they were born, registered after voting in federal elections, voters named asterisk, voters with no name at all, or blank addresses. Garbage data. How did they get this bad?

10/ Now let me show you what we found in California’s infamous 2024 election: 9.5 million times, the control process failed at registration. This is not clerical error, this is criminal. When the voter rolls are broken, it is criminal election fraud. You can’t “clean” them. They cannot be trusted, nor used to secure a world power against enemies, foreign and domestic.

11/ In New York, the control process broke 5.8 million times. Elections secure the law; if elections have no law, we have no law.

12/ Here are the sickening facts regarding California’s actual vote in 2024. The only legal way for these voters to vote was via provisional ballot. Did California accept 5.5 million provisional ballots in 2024, and adjudicate each one according to the law? That’s one in every three voters who voted. How can they not know who one third of their voters are?

13/ They can’t. California broke the third sentence of the Constitution, and illegally certified 52 members for the United States House of Representatives, plus Adam Schiff. We need to stop maligning voters we disagree with, and start putting criminals in jail.

14/ New York illegally certified 26 members of the House of Representatives, and Senator Gillibrand. Who are each of these people working for? We’re not saying none of them were chosen by the people. The problem is no one knows. Why are we accepting that for our loved ones and our country? Is that the life you were created for? The theft of legitimate representation is a heinous crime.

15/ We took it one step further. USA studied the identity of the voters ourselves. Our attorneys hired a private investigator. Searching in three unique commercial law-enforcement tools, used to find people precisely in space and time, we could not find 993,000 voters in California’s midterm. Nearly a million voters who don’t exist had their votes counted. Nearly half a million voters who don’t exist had their votes counted in Pennsylvania. You’re looking at 8.5 million illegal votes. No one bothered to verify them. Our country is under attack. We put people in jail for a handful of fake ballots, yet these crimes have so far gone unpunished.

16/ USA is strongly in favor of voter ID. It will make the election officials’ job much easier, which protects them and protects America. But as you can see here, it will not fix the entire process of an election. There are numerous control points within the election system under direct attack. They must all be secured and only USA knows how to do it, mostly using current law.

The first step in a legal process is to follow critical national security infrastructure law, FISMA, and implement the Risk Management Framework. The entire system must be subject to rigorous threat testing, exactly as it is going to be used. Risk-limiting audits conducted by election officials are a fraud on the people. The voting system is a digital border of our country that must be continually monitored for dynamic, evolving attacks. We are securing the multi-trillion-dollar economy of the dominant world power, and our great-grandchildren’s inalienable rights.

Next, we must train all election personnel in threat assessment and process control, at every polling site. Then we can begin registration of verified, qualified voters. Nothing else can pass through the control point. USA found 29 million instances where this control broke. This means the states have no idea who is in their voter rolls. After that is voter ID at the polls, here. If you want to get rid of mail-in ballots, a great idea, that’s here. But every mail-in ballot goes through this judging table, and if it fails, the ballot is supposed to be thrown out. That control point broke in Pennsylvania in 2020, and Arizona 2022, among many others. If we get rid of the machines, that’s here. Scanning errors must be scrutinized here, chain of custody here, and if aggregate error exceeds the legal limit, the election fails here.

If we made it this far, we can start reporting to the media. But every single record from every county and polling site must now be reviewed by the Chief Election Official. When they certify a mixed state and federal election, this one clerk, of whom there are only fifty in the whole country, attests that the state and federal governments are both legitimate and duly authorized republican governments. They better be certain, because they can be held personally responsible when they commit perjury.

USA is in complete agreement with President Trump. We love the President’s idea of a constitutional amendment for a national election holiday, using manual voting systems. But after years of meticulous research done out of devotion to country, while countless undisciplined screamers have profited off USA data and discoveries, acting like suspicion and opinion are equal to hard evidence, we still lack the votes. We need strategy, not theatrics. To pass an amendment, we have to have a valid election in 2026. We can’t pass it with imposters living in our House and Senate.

17/ In 1868, ten states were barred from voting on the fourteenth amendment. Three states were denied Electoral College votes. Why? Because they betrayed the union. They went rogue, and Congress refused to recognize their delegates. Congress called them “territories of the United States,” and ignored their governments until they complied with the Union.

19/ In these Supreme Court decisions, election officials went to federal prison. Read the prosecution guidelines. False voters, false votes and false tallies are all defined federal election fraud since 1873. Election officials are not allowed to take their orders from the Brennan Center; they must follow the law.

20/ The United States Department of Justice under Attorney General Bondi must immediately open a criminal investigation of this digital invasion, prosecute those responsible, and compel the states to follow legal process in 2026. Our right to legitimate congressional representation was stolen in 2022 & 2024. We cannot repeat this and have the rule of law. But we don’t just need to investigate blue states. This problem is in Ohio and Florida, it’s in Georgia and Texas. We have lost control of our elections everywhere and it’s a crime against our country. We must enforce the law—or the defense of inalienable rights on Earth may end. Today, we remind the DOJ that we gave them the proof starting in 2021. We look forward to Attorney General Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Bove making great strides to fix this disaster. United Sovereign Americans is standing by to assist in every way we can.

21/ We are already working with states and congress members loyal to our country to upgrade our election security laws to the current reality. We are taking the offensive against the denial of our civil rights with personal lawsuits against the most egregious actors in the country. unite4freedom.com/

22/ We are offering an election validity training conference this April in St Louis, Missouri. Will you join us in securing legitimate representative government in 2026, and beyond? No one is above the law. Those who have declared war on our liberty, our children, and our families, will be held accountable. No one is allowed to usurp and destroy the blessing of liberty in America. https://unite4freedom.com/securing-2026-the-usa-solution-april-2025-conference/

Some Thoughts on Art, Science & Religion

I’ve promised that I would talk about certain things dealing with science and religion, but in the process, I realized that I would likely need a “pre-talk” for reasons I’ll make clear.

I have also been engaged in activities in the art world, which made me realize that “my liberal friends” are in a very similar situation to us – and yet it’s almost unknown to people here. I want to talk bout that, too, because it might help people to see something analogous to our own problems afflicting somebody else.

SO – let me get to the point in a few paragraphs, if I can.

I want to start off by addressing my fellow believers in God.

I believe something very simple, which you likely agree with, but which may seem baffling to some.

I believe that it is more important to be right about the existence of God, than to be right about anything else, particularly the worldly truths of what we call “science”.

There are many reasons behind this, including numerous citations from both the Old and New Testaments, as well as a basic acceptance of the central message of Jesus Christ. As a follower of Christ, I not only believe the following as a consequence of accepting his authority on the topic – I find it “true in practice” as a biblically consistent part of His teachings.

“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

https://biblehub.com/matthew/18-6.htm

Some might say to me “Who are you, to be accepting this for any reason BUT authority?” – To which I would reply “I’m a human who God made skeptical – so I test everything!”

Anyway, my immediate point is that I am going to be talking about things which might conflict with other people’s deeply held religious beliefs. If so, then I invite you to ignore me, and to ignore what I will have to say. I will not be offended. While some may believe that testing belief strengthens it, others do not, and I refuse to pick a side in that fight. I invite YOU to make a choice – hear me or ignore me.

Inside you is a child, and I don’t want that child to stumble.

OK? Good! Let’s move on.

One of the things that I have noticed with my “liberal art friends” (some of whom may be “liberal arts friends” as well) is that they have ALL LEFT TWITTER/X. They are all on BlueSky now. They have chosen a walled garden – a plantation – where they can censor each other off the platform as hard and unfairly as they want.

They are now fully in an echo chamber, and they can no longer hear us.

I am not actually sure what needs to be done next. X is much more peaceful, now that so many leftists have left.

The main thing which I have noticed among these BlueSky leftists, is the almost supernatural effect that the “trans narrative” has on them. It is a necessary virtue signal that MUST be adhered to by even the most open-minded and otherwise scientific BlueSky leftists.

This is where I begin to see a great truth. Almost everybody has “science” they don’t like and don’t believe, but which other people, often a majority, do believe.

In fact, it gets even finer. BIOLOGY bothers almost everybody. And even worse, there are people who come up with bad solutions to the “bother” – many people are then attracted to the bad solutions – and together they form what one could call “pseudoscience movements”.

It’s a mess – am I right?

Well, I will do my best.

Anyway, please stay tuned for more some interesting science. Which I invite you to ignore, or even suggest you ignore, if questioning your beliefs gets in the way of your salvation.

I’ll be back in a week or so! See you then!

DEAR MAGA: Open Thread 20250227 & Can We Watch?

Welcome.

which are few but important.

2024 Presidential Election Map by County.
Let us Never Forget: our VOTES gave the Trump Administration a Mandate to FIX IT ALL.

Do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore,
and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. — Galatians 5:1

We got our miracle.
America is back.

Let us dedicate ourselves to the cleansing, healing, and rebuilding of our beautiful nation.

God will guide us.
Prayers and thanks to God for President Donald J. Trump.

Can We Watch?

The ability to watch the process of an election–from beginning to end–MUST be intentionally designed into the process. Otherwise, it’s just as prone to sleight-of-hand as a magician’s trick.

As Bev Harris (BlackBoxVoting.org) explained, we want to validate who can vote, who did vote, what each voter marked on each ballot, and how all elections materials are tracked and secured.

Provision for observers at each stage of the process is part of what gives legitimacy to our elections.

Election Observers, the Theory.

In theory, at every step of the process, open and transparent access for observers from each interested party should be expected and provided for. Not just when it’s convenient for the elections officials and their staff.

Any resistance to making provision for observers MUST be considered as suspicious at best, possibly a sign of guilt, and always an indication of maladministration of the election process.

You may remember poll workers taping up sheets of cardboard to block the view of the poll during the 2020 elections. I’ve heard reports of similar behavior in other places since then. Didn’t some group have a way to send on the spot reports to them when these types of things were happening during the 2024 election?

Voter Rolls.

If voter rolls are not freely visible to every citizen, if there is not an audit trail for how rolls change over time, if list maintenance procedures are not transparent, then there is room for hidden fraud. You might just want to check what level of access and transparency your state provides for your voter rolls.

“Maintaining an accurate voter registration list is essential to protecting election integrity. Keeping voter registration lists up to date is a continual process that includes adding new eligible voters, updating voter registration information when a voter moves and removing ineligible voters. The process of adding, updating and removing voters is referred to as list maintenance.”
Election Assistance Commission

As mundane as keeping a list up to date would seem, apparently even a lowly voter roll can aid and abet rigging an election. Or elections. Lots of elections.

As documented by Andrew Paquette in the paper, “The Caesar cipher and stacking the deck in New York State voter rolls” someone was clever enough to encode into the rolls a veritable army of zombie voters to be conjured up when needed to tip the scales for an election.

From the abstract:

Voters in New York State are identified by two identification numbers. This study has discovered strong evidence that both numbers have been algorithmically manipulated to produce steganographically concealed record attribute information. One of the several algorithms discovered has been solved. It first utilizes a mechanism nearly identical to the simple ‘Caesar Cipher’ to change the order of a group of ID numbers. Then, it interlaces them the way a deck of cards is arranged to create a ‘stacked deck’. The algorithmic modifications create hidden structure within voter ID numbers. The structure can be used to covertly tag fraudulent records for later use.

Election Observers, state-by-state.

The National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) provides a brief, “Policies for Election Observers.” You can find just about everything you would want to know about your own state’s policies at this link.

Political parties, candidates, citizen groups and independent organizations may deploy observers or watchers to witness election processes in the U.S. Generally, the purpose for these observers is to provide a layer of protection or transparency and to learn from and improve processes, which vary considerably by state. This webpage covers relevant laws and practices for multiple types of election observers nationwide.

In reviewing this brief, I didn’t see anything about allowing observers or insight into mail-in ballot drop boxes, or handling by the USPS. Seems like a problem. As President Trump reminds us all the time, mail-in ballots are “not good.”

Recent Changes to State Laws.

I found the list of recent legislative actions regarding election observers to be an interesting way to get a sampler of what states are focused on these days. Here they are:

Modifications to who can be an election observer of any kind:

  • South Dakota HB 1182 (2024) allows members of the public to observe voting and counting processes at polling places and requires that polling places be arranged so that poll watchers can see and hear what is going on.
  • North Dakota SB 2292 (2023) clarifies that any individual beside a candidate on the ballot may be an election observer if they inform the election inspector of their intent to serve.
  • Louisiana SB 74 (2022) clarifies that those who require assistance with voting may serve as poll watchers.
  • Oklahoma HB 3321 (2022) requires poll watchers to serve in person and not via electronic devices.
  • Utah HB 387 (2022) Permits preregistered voters (those who are under 18 years old) to serve as poll watchers, permits poll watchers to observe the ballot curing process and requires ballot adjudication in larger cities to be projected on a screen large enough to be viewed by watchers.
  • Arizona SB 1835  (2021) requires poll watchers to be registered voters in the state.
  • Texas SB 1 (2021) requires a training program for poll watchers and requires watchers to present a certificate of completion when reporting for observation. The law adds to the list of processes that poll watchers can observe all activities relating to closing a polling place, ballot signature verification, ballot curing and voter assistance efforts. SB 1 also requires poll watchers to take an oath, establishes a penalty for election officials who knowingly refuse to accept a valid certificate for observation, permits election officials to call law enforcement for the removal of a poll watcher who is in violation of the law, and establishes legal remedies for watchers who believe they were unlawfully prevented from observing election processes.
  • Nebraska LB 1055 (2020) established the role of a poll watcher as either a registered voter of the state or an individual representing a state-based, national or international election monitoring organization. The bill went into effect after the November 2020 elections.
  • New York AB 1525 (2019) permitted any political committee supporting or proposing a ballot proposal to have watchers in any general, special, town or village election and any party committee and any candidate on the ballot to have three watchers for each election district in a primary election.
  • Utah SB 94 (2018) consolidated multiple terms for poll watcher (voting poll watchers, counting poll watchers and inspecting poll watchers) to the generic term “poll watcher” and permitted poll watchers to observe various aspects of the process.
  • Arkansas HB 2138 (2017) prohibited a member of the state or county board of election commissioners from serving as a poll watcher.
  • California AB 2021 (2016) clarified that international election observers may have uniform and nondiscriminatory access to all stages of the election process that are open to the public.
  • Tennessee SB 1945 (2016) prohibited the appointment of a candidate’s spouse to serve as an election observer.
  • Montana HB 529 (2015) prohibited a candidate from serving as a poll watcher.
  • New York AB 5075 (2014) prohibited candidates for public office in a given election from acting as poll watchers.
  • Alaska HB 104 (2013) required that poll watchers be U.S. citizens.

Modifications to the process of becoming an observer:

  • Arkansas HB 1457 (2023) establishes a poll watcher bill of rights, requires poll watchers to be qualified electors of the state and receive training before an election.
  • New Mexico SB 180 (2023) requires poll watchers to attend training before accepting appointment.
  • Nebraska LB 1055 (2020) established an accreditation process for observers. The bill went into effect after the November 2020 elections.
  • Arizona SB 1054 (2019) increased the amount of time before an election for nonpartisan observers to apply to observe at a counting center. Only three persons or groups may observe activities at the counting center and are chosen by lot from those who apply.
  • Louisiana HB 563 (2019) required that a list of watchers be filed with the clerk of the court in each parish where a candidate will have watchers if the office is in more than one parish.
  • New Mexico HB 407 (2019) amended the definition of watchers to include an election-related organization or any group of three candidates for election in a statewide election and outlines which aspects of the process may be observed.
  • Mississippi HB 467 (2017) added a credentialing process and code of conduct for partisan poll watchers.
  • Virginia HB 1333 (2015) specified that the state or district chairman may designate authorized representatives of political parties if the county or city chairman is unavailable to do so.
  • Wisconsin AB 202 (2014) required all authorized observers to sign in at the polling place and provided for observation areas of not less than 3 feet or more than 8 feet from the voter check-in table.
  • Arkansas HB 1551 (2013) required the state board of elections to certify at least one state election monitor for each congressional district, and HB 1551 (2013) required training for certified state election monitors.
  • Texas SB 160 (2013) required election officials to provide poll watchers with identification to be displayed by the watcher at the polling place.

Modifications to which aspects of the election process may be observed:

  • Colorado SB 276 (2023) establishes poll watcher guidelines for primary and special elections and prohibits poll watchers from taking photos and recording inside the election office or polling place.
  • Montana SB 93 (2021) permits poll watchers to observe at mail ballot deposit locations (drop boxes).
  • Texas HB 1128 (2021) clarifies that poll watchers may be present in polling places, at meetings of early voting ballot boards and in central counting stations.
  • Arkansas SB 488 (2021) allows poll watchers to inspect voter statements and ballots during an election, even though these documents are protected under the state’s public records law.
  • Florida SB 90 (2021) requires poll watchers to wear identification badges while observing and allows each political party and each candidate to have one watcher with viewing access to ballot signature verification.
  • Hawaii HB 1248 (2019) enacted mail voting across all counties for all elections and included a section allowing poll watchers to be present at voter service centers.
  • Maryland SB 5 (2015) permitted authorized partisan and nonpartisan observers, and any others who wish to be present, to observe the canvass process.
  • Virginia HB 319/SB 537 (2012) specified that partisan observers may be close enough to the voter check-in table to be able to hear what is being said, but that observation shall not violate the secret vote or otherwise interfere with the election.

Our Turn.

We can’t leave this to others. We can at least try and get informed on what has been found, what has been done about it, and what more needs to be done.

We can make a difference.
And we must make a difference.

If you care about building a lasting and resilient nation, consider yourself on the job.
What would be the 5 bullet points in your status report for this week?

Twitterati, etc.

Andrew Paquette (mentioned above) is a refreshingly creative mind to engage with. His latest substack, “X marks the spot,” about trying to get to X, then Grok, might be an interesting read for those of us still trying to get in the gate. One of the replies also gives more ideas for what to try when wanting to open the door into their walled garden.

Get Smart – Buy a Globe!

When I was trying to get somebody to take DePat’s Tuesday open thread – meaning THIS thread – and there were no takers, I toyed with the idea of turning this open into a kind of comedy hour. The satire would be brutal – brutal enough that somebody would quickly decide to shut me up by volunteering to take the open. OR SO I HOPED!

I was going to call myself Flat Earth Wolf, and I planned to ferociously but facetiously advocate everything that most people here disagreed with, if not depise. Flat earth, no virus, deep state Trump, woke right – the worse, the better!

Yeah, at first it sounded kinda fun, but then I realized that it would just drive people away. And even I wouldn’t enjoy it.

SIGH.

Eventually, I just decided to use this open to post my own honest opinions about things. The beauty of that is, if somebody disagrees with me, they only have to volunteer to take the open to shut me up – but I don’t have to be funny or interesting, which is work.

I can just spout off and state my piece – and that is exactly what I’m going to do!

Now, as you have seen, I’ve spent a lot of time being “fair” to flat earth, by making sure people who want to post any side of any debate can do so here – and that is still happening. Most of the time, I’m encouraging people to post views that may oppose not only my own views, but everybody else’s, too.

But it’s time to be more….. how shall I say….. “complete” about things.

I try to be “nice” about a lot of “science” that “has issues”. I just try to smile and not pull out any deadly weapons of argumentation.

No serrated blades. No 100-round clips. No razor-studded baseball bats. Maybe a hanky. Yes. A perfumed hanky. Cough. Cough. Pardon me!

WELL – NOT TODAY, AND NOT RIGHT HERE, AND NOT RIGHT NOW.

¿Comprende?

Pardon me for just one moment. I’m gonna be tougher about science. Because we have to be tough. We are up against a very organized force.

The Yellow Berets, also known as Public Health Service trainees, were a group of physicians who participated in the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Associate Training Program during the Vietnam War era. They were often derogatorily referred to as “Yellow Berets” by supporters of the war who viewed them as avoiding military service.

LINK: https://www.malone.news/p/deconstructing-nih-cdc-and-fda-culture

We are up against some really bad people, who are fully prepared to tell any lie for their purposes. So this opposing army – OUR army – can’t tolerate weak, wrong, and misled science in the forward combat positions. SURE – if you want to work on the base back in safe territory, you can believe all the bad and broken science you want. But if you want to get out in front, you have to subject your own biases to the relentless sharpening forces of TRUTH – and in particular EVIDENCE.

Some things are very certain out in the front lines. One of them is that this planet is a sphere, roughly.

NOW – like most other professional scientists, I haz science skilz in a lot of different areas, because most true scientists are like that. We don’t turn off the science when we walk out of school or job – and our opinions can be particularly relevant in looking at other people’s “expert” stuff, and asking terrible, sharp, venomous questions that the “experts” in those areas are hiding from, or pretending don’t exist.

Much “organization” in current, problematic, sick, “mainstream” science is done to insulate compromised insiders from pesky intelligent outsiders.

Decorum, you know. That’s it. Decorum.

Well, too bad.

BUT we have to hold ourselves to the same revolutionary standards.

Yadig? Of course! What’s good for vaccines, is good for “no virus”, “flat earth”, and many other things.

Globe Earth Wolf has a recommendation that will ultimately test your faith in God, by beating on it. He’s gonna BEAT your armor until it is HARDER, and the first beat-down is that you need to buy an actual globe and STUDY IT.

They’re CHEAP AS DIRT. Most are made in CHYYYNA. But you still have to buy one. I don’t care where it’s made. BUY A GLOBE. And if you already have one, pull it out of the closet, attic or basement.

Buy one at a garage sale, if you have to.

I recommend buying a globe that is at least 12 inches in diameter, and is mounted so that the tilt of Earth’s axis relative to the sun is clearly demonstrable.

Blue oceans which are highly differentiated in color from the land masses are very helpful. Political boundaries are somewhat immaterial, although they do help you LOCATE things more quickly and precisely, and if they are current, the globe can be used to increase your current geopolitical understanding. On the other hand, a vintage globe can be useful for more historical understanding. In either case, I recommend blue oceans, because some vintage globes hide this physically useful truth, by making everything somewhat off-white, sepia and tan, simply to look good on furniture, as opposed to BEATING ON YOUR BRAIN, which is my purpose.

What I am doing is actually a stupid trick from science – a silly secret among the “top men”. And top women, but let’s not get TOO bogged down in DEI.

You see, MODELS – simple physical models – are behind so much of the best science and so many of the best scientists. I have watched this throughout my entire life, and it’s hilarious. Good models are what won Watson and Crick the Nobel Dynamite & Bankster Prize for DNA, and Doudna and Charpentier the same for CRISPR-Cas9. Good models are how all the best work on C60/Buckyballs/Fullerenes was done.

Good models are how stereochemistry was explained in the late 19th century. Good models are – over and over – how organic chemistry and then biochemistry were worked out in the 19th and 20th centuries.

When I went to school with a bunch of scary smart people, I quickly realized that I could use my cheap plastic molecular model set, which I was ironically forced to buy, but wisely chose to actually use, to find all sorts of science which had apparently evaded older students and even our professors for years. Simple, stupid, cheap, plastic and aluminum, “straws and jacks” (not even balls and sticks) was all it took to figure out realities that would ALWAYS show up in chemical behavior, spectroscopy, and quantum mechanical calculations.

I would SHOW PEOPLE this stuff with models – and you could always tell the winners from the losers by how fast they would start using their own “required but never used” model set to figure things out – by how carefully (or stupidly and carelessly) they would cut their little bonds – by how carefully or carelessly they would grab the right “jack” to get the right angles at the atoms – by how strongly they would reason past the limitations of the cheap models – and by how quickly they would spend some of their hard-earned but very limited cash to buy a SECOND or THIRD model set, to make even bigger and better models possible.

I am doing the exact same thing here, to make you smarter – to make YOU a winner.

Because we can’t have too much winning if you aren’t on the same page as Trump, as well as the historical patriots who really did walk this SPHERICAL planet and built this great civilization – and GOD – who made this WORKING BALL on which WORKING LIFE not only EXISTS but THRIVES and then hopefully carries on His PRO-LIFE MISSION of creating and persisting a life-filled and God-loving universe, which is something GOD WANTS BECAUSE IT’S GOOD.

Just my opinion?

Yeah. But still – buy a globe. You will learn so much from it.

I recommend keeping your globe in some place you visit regularly. I stand in front of my globe generally 2-4 times a day, and I probably toy with it at least daily. When we’re having science discussions here, especially after one of Steve’s science posts, I may spend a half hour with that globe.

What am I looking at?

I am looking at seasons. I’m looking at angles of the sun. I’m looking at hours of daylight, twilight, and darkness. But that’s just the beginning.

Most importantly, I’m looking at thousands of tiny details and saying “OH, THAT MAKES SENSE”. Airplane flights. Jet lag. Shipping routes. Planetary distances. Phone conversations. Satellites. “4 AM”. Russia, CHYYYNA, Japan. Burma Shave. TAIWAN. Why Hawaii has always been filled with trouble and bullshit. Look at your globe and every little thing starts to make sense.

This is very critical. When you have a real, true, winning solution in science, like a spherical planet, it just makes all the little stuff WORK. All the thousands of minor details WORK for any scientist who looks at the model, and kicks the tires. This is why Newton is not “replaced” by Einstein – he’s just being helped out around the edges where things get weird.

The problem with “Flat Earth” (and other things I’ll talk about later) is that one big mistake made from an emotionally attractive bias to the past tries (and fails) to upset all the little yet critical stuff other people are doing or have done – meaning millions of honest, good-faith observations. THEN, the same people who break all the little yet critical stuff for everybody else, when confronted, just throw back some non-working, “causes even more trouble”, evasion of an answer, and pretend that they answered the problem, when they didn’t. And that is exactly why nobody takes them seriously, and most people ignore them.

In science, you have to make something that lets OTHER PEOPLE explain or predict stuff on their own, successfully, nearly every time, to actually have a product that sells AND GETS RE-SOLD. Newton did that. Chemistry did that. Electromagnetism did that. Relativity did that. Quantum mechanics did that. Particle physics did that.

When you look at the globe, try to predict how long automobile trips and plane flights take. Look at where islands are. Look at where history happened. Look at where mankind started, wandered, and settled. Look at climate. Look at weather. Look at temperatures. Look at where those temperatures are on the globe.

Right there, the semi-frozen pizza stumbles hard, but the globe, with two poles on one axis, just works like crazy. Everything is nicely – no – perfectly explained – and it’s explained all together at the same time, by a very simple model.

Your actual globe will make you a solid and strong glober. And scientist. And lover of truth.

And then you will become even stronger, because – believe it or not – you will become stronger in FAITH. You will start to see how God makes stuff WORK – and I mean REALLY WORK – simply, powerfully, independently – and that pattern is something you can predict will show up again, and again, and again.

God makes stuff that WORKS. And KEEPS WORKING.

But I’m getting ahead of things.

So buy that globe, or get the old one out, and let’s talk about it. Make that globe WORK for you. Let it help you see the TRUTH.

And as it brings you closer to TRUTH, it will bring you closer to GOD.

Handling Gold.

Well, not really gold. But a process that is even more critical than handling precious metals, but let’s start there. The other day Steve was explaining how registered mail is handled and why precious metals dealers used registered mail due to the strict processes that are followed. The USPS handbook DM-901 covers all the details. It’s a nice document. Covers all the procedures, chain of custody, proper storage, how to document if seals are broken, etc. It’s almost like they are serious about handling registered mail.

What is more important than gold?

How about true and accurate elections that put into power those who legislate whether you get to keep your gold or not? Seems important.

Chain of Custody.

A key feature of the process of handling things of great value is called the Chain of Custody. Whether it is registered mail, election materials (ballots, equipment), or even evidence to be used in prosecuting a criminal case, unimpeachable Chain of Custody is essential.

The National Voting Rights Task Force says:

According to experts, the only way to know if an electronic vote total has been hacked is for voters to have separately recorded their intended selections on paper and for jurisdictions to then use the paper in a manual audit or recount, the results of which can be compared to the electronic total.

But even manual audits or recounts can be “hacked” if the selections on the paper have been marked by a machine, rather than the voter’s own hand.  And no matter how that paper is marked, manual audits and recounts can be gamed if the chain of custody between election night and the audit or recount has been compromised.

There are many resources for elections. One resource, the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) is an independent, bipartisan commission whose mission is to help election officials improve the administration of elections and help Americans participate in the voting process. Their guidance, “Best Practices: Chain of Custody,” gives recommendations to election officials. “The chain of custody of ballots, voting equipment, and associated data is essential to ensure the election system remains trustworthy. Documentation of the chain of custody also provides evidence that all voting procedures were followed. It is a best practice for chain of custody procedures to be clearly defined in advance of every election, well documented and followed consistently throughout the entire election lifecycle or process. The key to an effective chain of custody is to have a set of procedures which are followed in practice. The procedures should be in writing with all steps documented.”

It may be important to note that I have yet to find any federal laws with guidance on the specifics of election materials chain of custody. A search of the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) of 2002 for the term “custody” does not yield any results. An internet search of “election laws chain-of-custody” provides guidance from various organizations (a good example here) and some links to individual Secretary of State websites. If there are federal laws, they are not easily found. Time didn’t permit for me to survey each state for specific chain of custody laws related to elections. It appears that a good number of groups that have public-facing sites with material related to the need for and the development of good practices for managing chain-of-custody.

However, when you get into actual county-by-county execution of these procedures the failures are all to common and even shocking. When regular citizens, concerned about their own local county’s handling of election materials simply asked for a copy of the chain of custody procedures in use during a specific election, the response was far from uniform. As anyone in any type of mission-critical work effort would expect, there needs to a least be: (1) a dated, documented procedure that is signed off before it is to be followed for a specific election and (2) checklists with spaces for signing off for the handling of items requiring chain of custody.

Even when a county is required by their state government to provide these prior to an election, the local elections offices sometimes could not provide these procedures when asked. One particular county office provided a non dated, unsigned document and stated that they weren’t sure which election it was for. Either they didn’t know what they were doing, they didn’t have the right person fulfilling the request, or something else. It seems like this would be posted right on their county elections office website (along with all the other elections documents!). In a number of counties that I know of, the elections office claimed there were “no records responsive to the request.” In other words, they are saying that they didn’t have the state mandated chain of custody procedures. How did they get the election certified without it? How did their Secretary of State sign off on the election without it?

Asking for public records, usually referred to as a freedom of information act (FOIA) request can be done by anyone. More recently the number of people taking it upon themselves to get involved in “citizen oversight” has grown to the point that some public officials have started complaining that all these requests are a form of harassment. Really? Why not just publicly publish all of it?

In one state it seems that a number of counties have hired the same particular law firm as “County Counsel” to advise on the handling of election matters. Unfortunately that liberal law firm seems to have been assisting counties to stone-wall access to public records. And in some cases the guidance given to the county board of supervisors was in fact unlawful. I’m not giving examples to prove my point, I’m just offering information that might be helpful to know if someone reading here is considering looking into how their elections are being handled where they live and vote.

In 2016 Bev Harris explained at her site, BlackBoxVoting.org:

Elections chain of custody refers to physical and electronic evidence controls for:

– who can vote
– who did vote
– actual ballots as marked by each voter, and
– evidence transfer and storage

:

Legitimate elections require public “right to know” (freedom of information) to allow the public and the media to authenticate truth of results. Proper chain of custody safeguards are part of the larger concept of political legitimacy.

:

Incurable uncertainty

Handling election records and data must be scrupulously careful in order to demonstrate to the public that there has been no tampering or contamination.

In court cases, chain of custody violations can result in refusal to admit evidence or even throwing a case out. In elections, chain of custody violations can result in “incurable uncertainty” and court orders to redo elections.

Bev Harris discovered election theft in 2002, wrote a book on it (download it here), advocated for change, and now others have carried on her work. The problems are not new, and they have probably grown worse. But now is the time for us to make our own local governments-that oversee the execution of elections–take note that we are asking questions, seeing problems and expecting better oversight. And for those who have been running elections, just knowing that more people are looking into their work appears to have led to some unexpected early retirements. I can’t say that is an indication of guilt, but it does seem significant.

We can’t leave this to others. We can at least try and get informed on what has been found, what has been done, and what more needs to be done. What do you know about elections and chain of custody. Please post your thoughts in the comments. Thanks

We can make a difference.
And we must make a difference.

If not us, who? If not now, when?
There has never been a better time.

General Mike Flynn (@GEnFlynn) has been talking about citizen oversight for as long as I’ve been paying attention.

Prayer.

God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home.
