Hard to make a fun one about integrity/character . . .
Johnny Tremain was a boy, just fourteen,
Living in Boston and working for pay,
Watching his friends risk both life and limb
In our past, in Revolutionary days.
King George III, ruled our colonies,
And took their money by taxes and fees.
Work there was hard and those taxes were high;
The Patriots rebelled, wanting to be free.
Colonists were forced to buy tax stamps
To get the money to pay Britain’s debts.
Johnny’s friends helped our country rebel
Against British rule and British threats.
Johnny was not such a likeable lad,
Hardworking, yes, but had too much pride.
He thought himself better than others,
But then he changed when his friends died.
Johnny’s friends fought so all could be free,
Giving their lives so others could live.
Johnny learned to think more of others,

PBS and OANN will be broadcasting, as well. Screw the networks! ….they are beyond despicable and hopefully crossed the Red Line with this declaration of anti-Americanism.
In my little residential community (not the town), there is a full display of Americana ….lots of fun events throughout the day, food stations everywhere, a traditional, well-attended flag ceremony, photos of residents who served in the military (in their uniforms back in the day) on TV screens throughout the venue, live music and finally topped off by a truly impressive fireworks when it gets dark tonight.
This is addition to the very popular parade downtown this morning. Yes, at least in this little corner of the South, patriotic pride is alive and well.

More seriously, I see no reason for people to NOT post things which change in veracity upon group examination, or which turn out to be photoshops, fakes, frauds, lies, disinformation, etc., as long as the people posting are either (1) intentionally demonstrating the fakeness, (2) uncertain about the fakeness, and submitting it for examination, or (3) innocent of knowing that it was fake. That is precisely how we root out the problems and figure out what is disinformation and what is not.

It is my fault, but you misunderstood. No reader ought to have been expected to understand the context, and again that is my fault. I got carried away by my strong feelings at the moment.
My statement was made in the context of Wolf’s particular response to a particular statement. And that interchange was made in an ever bigger context which went beyond that particular thread.
And what I said was an expression of two very strong personal feelings/concerns.
First, it’s just a personal peculiarity of mine, but I really despise it when people suggest using sadistic violence against other people. That’s just me. And I make a couple of assumptions, fair or not, about people who casually suggest the use of sadistic violence against others. I assume they are assholes, and I assume they have sadistic violence in their hearts. When they suggest sadistic violence against someone I respect, multiply my feelings.
Oh yes, I know it is a joke. Ha, ha. Maybe I should lighten up.
Second, this is a free speech site. Thank God. Personally, I want this site to exist. I do not want TPTB to concoct a phony reason to shut it down. I have not the faintest idea the exact process or standard TPTB use in deciding when or how to shut a site down, but I do understand that “violence,” phony or not, is one excuse.
It is not an easy issue because of the free speech considerations. But just because we can do it, does not mean we should do it. Poster A Fortiori had a great post expressing this idea, an idea which people should not only like, but (IMO) should actually follow, if they are able to understand it.
I just think it is prudent not to tempt TPTB with respect to expressions of stark, sadistic violence. Yes, that is self-censorship, and Wolf in my experience has NEVER said do not do that. He has made clear the simple rules: no illegality, and you take your chances.
I agreed 100% with Wolf’s analysis of the chemtrail issue, and the three possibilities Wolf suggested were very broad and covered a lot of territory, respectful to all.
When Wolf suggested a very mature, non-condescending, gracious manner of discussing chemtrails – one that was not insulting to others – my immediate smartass response was contrary to what I feel and believe, and it was meant as a “joke.” By using the despicable image of sadistic violence, I was (clumsily) trying to convey ironically that Wolf’s creative and brilliant suggestion of graciousness (“ask me about”) was one I liked, preferable to responding to people either with condescension, or suggestions of sadistic violence.
But I only succeeded in making myself look bad, alas.

I don’t think it looks good for CTH – and it certainly isn’t helpful to be attacking our own side. POTUS works with what he has – and right now Lindsey and McConnell are doing more than we’ve seen them do for years – though it’s good to remember that McConnell would not give Obama another SCOTUS pick, and in fact, left many other judgeship slots unfilled for Obama’s last 6 years, going all the way back to 2010 when we took the Senate.
Those slots are being filled fairly quickly (considering DC’s typical slow motion) today.
Those judges getting placed in the Courts will do more to repair the dismantling of our Constitution and our country, than we can expect with just having DJT in office.

I followed along at least part of this discussion yesterday, and I think the “controversy” went mostly right over my head, as usual.
I think this happens with me because I have a “policy” when reading/evaluating other’s posts and opinions. I always assume “good intentions,” because I “trust” the people Wolfmoon allows to be here. If you were a “bad guy,” I don’t think I would be reading a comment from you here.
Assuming good intentions from people puts a completely different light on what they mean to say. It helps me to recognize sarcasm and/or jokes. It also causes me to think more carefully before I respond. I think part of the problem with liberals is they always assume the worst, so they are constantly “triggered” by things that don’t mean what they think they mean.

I love reading all the opinions here, yours included. There is never a day when I don’t learn something.

I completely understand when there is an inability to have the brain override the body’s basic desire to choke the living sh&%t out of someone we feel richly deserves it. You have just basically hit on a subject which I have, personally, lived out in my life.
When I was younger I had people that paid me to do exactly those violent things you refer to. Everything I did was justified by me essentially being on the ‘ right’ side. Nothing I did went beyond the scope of living within the law, I, assumed that because when I got in over my head, the guys that came, came to back ME up,complete with all the legal cover that would be needed to keep me from suffering any consequences of not just my actions, but any course I decided to take. What my job was it was, violent at times, but spread out by immense periods of boredom & routine. The time I did let my guard down, it cost me, dearly. All this on top of the adrenaline rush when it got dicey, tuned me into a maniac in my personal life, my ego & the picture I presented to others. to put it simply, I was mean, really mean.
When you liver day to day under these circumstances, you handle it with the best coping skill readily available to you, usually resulting in macabre humor

I get you Tonawanda, many times my attempt at humor or a comment I make is taken out of context. I did not know the entire context of your comment. My apologies if my words added to your feeling of looking bad. Do I read you right in saying that TPTB will go to any, sadistic if necessary, length to “educate or indoctrinate” to bring correct thinking a person they view as an unrepentant rebel. One of the biggest problems I see with blogs in general.. is it extremely difficult in most circumstances to to read a typed comment and understand whatever emotion is attached to it.
If everyone would use {sar} or /s or emojis or just flat say……I’m not serious here, or I’m speculating….etc….
THAT could/would improve/solve some potential misunderstandings.
Anyone could make a simple statement about “nothing” i.e. somebody’s hat…….I could turn that from a joke to an insult, just based on the “tone” of my words…….but with blogs….we cannot hear those tones, or see those facial expressions.

While I believe that AD Barr is a good guy, I am distressed that he uses the phrase ‘ideals of democracy’ in his message. The last thing we need is the ideals of democracy being implemented across the country. California is almost a complete democracy right now and it’s as bad as any third world shithole country.
Plus I have no doubt that the reason the constitutional convention took so long is that the Framers were determined to make sure that it EASN’T a democracy in any way.

You and I know and do not believe that life is so dear and peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery. If nothing in life is worth dying for, when did this begin–just in the face of this enemy? Or should Moses have told the children of Israel to live in slavery under the pharaohs? Should Christ have refused the cross? Should the patriots at Concord Bridge have thrown down their guns and refused to fire the shot heard ’round the world? The martyrs of history were not fools, and our honored dead who gave their lives to stop the advance of the Nazis didn’t die in vain. Where, then, is the road to peace? Well, it’s a simple answer after all.
You and I have the courage to say to our enemies, “There is a price we will not pay.” There is a point beyond which they must not advance. This is the meaning in the phrase of Barry Goldwater’s “peace through strength.” Winston Churchill said that “the destiny of man is not measured by material computation. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we are spirits–not animals.” And he said, “There is something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty.”

There is definitely a public mental health problem that has been largely overlooked, dating back nearly 30 years. We have the same situation in the UK.
Whether the US has a mentally disturbed candidate or elected public official at this point is unclear.
That said, I am most concerned about the time when a Western nation will countenance — and force others to approve of — a mentally ill candidate for political office.

It has nothing to do with Thomas Jefferson. It has everything to do with an assault of America’s past and history.
No one believes that Jefferson was a perfect man – his faults are well known.
He was however a man of remarkable achievement, who was used at key junctures in American history.
Jefferson’s story is the story of great man who lived in great times. Jefferson is inseparable from the American story – to remove him is to destroy American history.
For precisely that reason they have to attack his legacy and destroy his memory.
The KOM will not rest until every bit of history, every great story, every noble act, every stirring patriotic account of history is destroyed, tarred, forgotten, burned, vandalized, defecated upon, ransacked, trodden under, and buried.
The KOM cannot stand any act of American VIRTUE, GOODNESS, NOBILITY, TRUTH, SACRIFICE, BEAUTY, or VALOR to ever be recounted. The narrative they believe, their worldview, is that all human problems stem from America being America, “capitalist” (free market), Christian, Protestant, “white”, and masculine. Virtuous men are the enemy of the KOM because all KOM fundamentally requires that men be vice ridden to be susceptible for recruitment and for the cult-like mind control to lock them in. Anything that challenges that worldview, anything that challenges their lock on human minds, has to be attacked and destroyed. KOM ideology is a very jealous god that cannot bear to tolerate rivals. For the KOM, there can be no good or great men apart from KOM.
If you want to fight back, the most subsersive, counter-KOM, fingernails on chalkboard thing you can do: Speak up boldly, and openly, literally and figuratively, and tell the stories of goodness and virtue from our past. Tell the truth about men like Jefferson. Do not worry about offending others – the KOM do not have a right to not be offended, and the KOM do not have the right to define for all society which things are offensive and which are not. The milkshake throwing crowd has no claim to moral legitimacy, and men of character must stand boldly and with courage in the face of their reckless cowardice.
