Thanks yes. A&H has a product, “Simply Saline Nasal Mist” that has a little baking soda in it. NutriBiotic has the GSE nasal spray. I rotate those with a silver hydrosol from Sovereign Silver. There are other items in my kit as well. Not sure what’s in the air outside right now, but am running air filters in the house. Everytime I work outside things get clogged up again. I’m not prone to allergies, so I’m thinking “air pollution” is a factor.

If I may please disagree with the moderator? I find it ironic that this thread is titled “end of brainwashing”. It seems to me that this is the beginning of brainwashing if FG&C is allowed to hound anyone who posts or shares anything that may be disparaging to Gen. Flynn. Wouldn’t this be the “thought police” in action? Sometimes, even though we may disagree with a post we are sharing but feel it has some value to others “because we need to know what we are up against” would stifle people from trying to share the things they feel could be important.

This is not the first time For God and Country has made such a high intensity post.
Ironically, I do not read the latest one as a threat of violence, just the usual pomposity and condescension.
FG&C made a completely over the top, wildly disproportionate and nasty reply to one of my posts when he first got here. No one likes to be spoken to like that, but it happens, especially behind anonymity, and it is far from the worst thing to happen in life.
What really disturbed me about how he responded was the “flashback” aspect of it. His approach sounded exactly like the assholes OT who made CTH a complete mess with their nastiness and witless remarks. (Many of which I always suspected were also highly influenced by rum or something like rum).
I used my free speech OT to point out that the witless nastiness, in addition to being dreary and ineffective, simply made the site an unpleasant place to be. I left cold turkey before the bannings, and simply out of disgust. It was not easy to leave, but it was my totally unspoken and unknown protest against incessant, repetitious, pointless, dreary nastiness which had overwhelmed the site like an open sewer pit.
Some while later FG&C at this site suggested the use of anal rape as an apt punishment for some group of people (leftists? media? I forget) and posted a picture to illustrate. It was totally intended as a South Park/Family Guy “joke” IMO, maybe an Andrew Dice Clay type of thing, the difference being that unlike those things it was genuinely not funny or relevant.
BTW, Qaddafi was a horrible and torturing tyrant, and yet I do not believe as a human being he should have been subjected to his punishment. I won’t go into the reasons.
Still later FG&C returned to anal rape in responding to Sadie Slays in what I thought was a wildly disproportionate and over the top reply to a post she made. FG&C again posted a gruesome picture to illustrate the anal rape angle. Again, this might have been a “joke”.
And again, it was really not South Park, Family Guy, Andrew Dice Clay “funny” with a deep sense of irony behind it specific to the circumstances, it was just a free association expression of hostility connected to an irrelevant (but specific) sadistic imagery, and the sort of witless nastiness which made OT a mess.
Sadie Slays is the last person who needs anybody to defend her or speak on her behalf, and her response was wonderful.
But FG&C’s response to Sadie Slays also bothered me because violence is used as an excuse by TPTB to shut down free speech sites. Try telling TPTB that you were joking. Yes, we have fee speech, but the essence of “conservatism” is the exercise of prudence. Being prudent doesn’t mean we like the factors which go into its exercise. Prudence almost always means we are responding to something we do not like.
Everyone understands the free speech self-censorship paradox, but personally I prefer to keep QTH.
I completely understand pR’s response. I hope she comes back. She has been a a valuable comrade in this fight.
I too managed somehow to trigger one of FG&C’s overwrought replies, and for me it brings up a larger issue.
Another element of how we need to change our society in order to MAGA is the need to take back the language. We need to revive the notion that words have meaning, that some words are indeed fighting words, and that we should be measured in our language in the interest of civility.
I agree with you. They will use bullshit over-the-top threats to cause problems for sites they don’t like.
Since you have “broken the ice,” so to speak, I will relate the fact that FG&C also hurt me deeply, altho I do realize it may have been from a position of ignorance. He said something cutting to me about “wouldn’t I try to stop someone from committing suicide,” after my own daughter committed suicide! Perhaps he didn’t know but I find it hard to believe since I “talk” about it frequently (I have to or go crazy).
It took me some time to thaw/heal enough even to like one of his posts.

I think that is asinine behavior. Furthermore, almost no one would have the balls to speak that way to someone in person. They will only do it from the safety of a screen.

Peter John Dalglish, a former senior United Nations official and co-founder of one of the world’s largest children’s charities, has been jailed after being found guilty of raping young boys in Nepal.
During the arrest, two young children, ages 12 and 14, were rescued from Dalglish’s custody.

The biggest frustration in all of it is that we are due to get a new main. Twice, now, the utility finder people have been down our street to mark where it is ahead of it going in. This is the third bad break in less than five years within about 100 feet. And the HOA equivalent just had a third of the actual street itself dug up and replaced.
Around here we can live with a lot, but not timing this all out right is getting ridiculous.

ANGELA MERKEL decided to sit during the playing of the German and Danish national anthems this week, after yet another bad shaking episode for Merkel a day ago. Merkel and new Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, both sat during the playing of the anthems while the new PM was making an official visit to Merkel. Merkel was holding her hands together while seated.
In the previous video she shook while standing still but seemed to be okay when it was time to start walking. I didn’t see any gait or balance problems. I don’t know what kinds of conditions cause shaking like that.

I’m probably not as well-versed on all the facts and unknown outcomes at this point. Not sure about the legal issues, but if it can be proven that there was extortion/blackmail – ie. we’re going to jail you son, that may be considered mitigating circumstances. It may also be why Judge Sullivan couldn’t accept what was being done, and go ahead with sentencing.
I believe that Sidney Powell is a better lawyer for Flynn than who had before – where it made no sense he’d have a Leftist law group. So much is unknown right now. The feds have gone round the mulberry bush on whatever charges they created or distorted. Not sure the Judge even knows what the truth is. We’ll see.
Towanda, something else occurs to me on this, re: Flynn and what he attested to – it is not impossible to consider that when the FBI, Mueller’s goons are breathing down your neck and saying you said something – perfect recall is not guaranteed, and it is certainly within the realm of possibility that they told him he had broken a law that he had not broken, but wouldn’t necessarily know – remember who his lawyers have been.
I don’t think we can state anything with surety until all is settled or revealed.
I love Flynn, and do believe he was extorted by the government. I believe he consciously lied under oath when he said he lied to the FBI. The charging documents barely made out that crime, if they did at all (doing this from memory, read them a long time ago).
Mark Steyn has been shouting from the roof tops about American justice, as has Conrad Black. American justice is based on extortion (I am obviously hyperbolizing for effect). It is my impression that LE has long since gamed out every aspect to avoid legal and Constitutional issues. And judges, who do not want to go to the grocery store and be accused of leniency, accept perjury as a necessary part of the job.
I guarantee you, Flynn recalled everything perfectly. He was simply “blackmailed.”
But he was blackmailed in the most routine and mundane way. Hundreds of Americans are blackmailed similarly every day, and their convictions are not going to be overturned, ever. The courts IMO are perfectly aware of what is happening, and have adjusted the common law to accommodate it. And part of that law (I suspect) is that once you say something under oath, with the advice of counsel, voluntarily and knowingly, there is very little chance of it being undone, although political considerations always trump the law nowadays.
Sidney Powell used to post at CTH and every single time that I saw she was selling her book. This did not inspire confidence, and actually showed a certain lack of shrewdness. Just by posting she was selling her book without having to use the posts as advertising. If she was smarter, she would not have used her postings to advertise. But maybe she simply did not care, which is a possible problem in itself.
The fact is, we do not know the facts. Flynn knows the facts, and he pleaded guilty under oath, and when given the opportunity to withdraw his sworn statement that he was guilty, he reiterated that he was guilty.
It is all terribly unfair and unjust, and crassly political, but perfectly legal as far as I can see. And whatever misconduct occurred, and I am sure there was plenty, cannot undo a sworn statement except in the rarest of circumstances.
Canadians Steyn and Black have made cogent arguments regarding the unjust nature of our justice system and I agree with them that the system is corrupt and needs to change.
As to Flynn, I continue to believe Flynn did not plead guilty because he is guilty and he did not plead guilty because he was coerced by a corrupt system. Rather, Flynn pled guilty in order to engage in a cooperation agreement with the DOJ because in doing so he is able to testify to certain facts that he would otherwise be precluded from revealing.
I hope you are right about Flynn! It certainly makes sense.

Pam Bondi was on one of the shows last night. I rarely listen to her because, in my prejudiced mind, she is too beautiful to be a good attorney…… but this time I listened.
She was talking about the state prosecutor in the Epstein case, Kirstner (?? spelling), the guy who is now in private practice and ignoring the media.
She said Kirstner took the case to a grand jury.
And in such a situation, defense does not present their side. Everything good going for the prosecutor in a grand jury seeking an indictment.
He presented his case with the evidence he had.
Grand jury would only return ONE indictment, for misdemeanor, solicitation of a prostitute (and another for underage).
No jail time, small fine, no registry as sex offender.
Enlightening.
Who in the world did they put on that grand jury? A bunch of his pedophile friends????
What we don’t know – at the time, many of the young women would not come forward.
Revisiting the case today, is a different thing altogether.
I have a strong hunch those young girls and their parents did not want to be cross-examined by the defense as to how much money they were given for their services and how many times the returned to the pedo’s den of sin. What most of them are now realizing however, is that reluctance to testify could have prevented the sexual assaults of many more young girls.

You are right – THAT is one angle. And knowing Epstein, he would try to go after BOTH angles. Find out who is on the GJ and influence THEM. Worm his way in on the prosecutor or his office and influence the case.
Epstein clearly had a PLAN to minimize.

Another reason that we, as “the news”, citizen journalists, should take screenshots and copy/archive as much as we can, so that there are “mirrors” of info, everywhere. Disc drives, be they external storage, solid state, “spinning rust” internal drives, or even large USB sticks, are getting to be “stupid cheap”.
[When I think that the first FIVE MEGABYTE disc drive I bought for a site (HP9133A, I think) was something like DM15,000.00… Oh, but it DID have a 3.5-inch floppy drive, so you could spend a few days loading data onto it 🙂 ]

Former New York Art Dealer Charged With Running a US$145m Smuggling Ring
Subhash Kapoor, a former New York art dealer who is described by the authorities as one of the world’s most prolific smugglers of antiquities, has been charged on Monday with running a US$145m artefacts smuggling ring. Kapoor has pleaded not guilty after having been awaiting trial in India for almost eight years.
According to the authorities, Kapoor’s multinational smuggling ring has harvested some 2,600 objects from Afghanistan, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Thailand over the last three decades. The ring created false paper trails for the artefacts and often lent them to museums briefly to prove the items’ legitimacy. They then sold them globally for large profits to collectors, art dealers and museums.
While most of the stolen objects have been recovered from storage locations Kapoor controlled in Manhattan and Queens, officials revealed that 39 looted antiquities that valued at US$36m are still missing. Even after his arrest in Germany in 2011, he was still able to instruct his employees to pass on the most valuable items to his family members and move them to secret locations.
Before his arrest, Kapoor was a successful art dealer who owned a gallery at 1242 Madison Avenue in Manhattan. His illegal deeds were first revealed by his ex-girlfriend Grace Paramaspry Punusamy who wanted to take revenge due to their bitter breakup.

Apparently PDJT will address the citizenship census question in the Rose Garden at 1700. Because of the Roberts SCOTUS ruling, this is a big deal with potential legal/impeachment implications under A2§3 Take Care clause.
Although most of what follows has been posted previously in longer form, here is (in reverse order), the background lay f the land.
1. Barr was right to seek to replace the NY v. Commerce US team. They were manifestly incompetent bu not raising the correct legal arguments, giving Roberts the ‘insufficient reason’ excuse. The federal judge was wrong to disallow this replacement. Often criminal defendents try this trick in order to buy time. The response in this case should have been a government stipulation that the replacement would lead to no delay.
2. The NY grounds that the Administrative Procedures Act, 5USC§551 et seq was violated is itself faulty. §551(4) specifies when the APA procedures apply: to rulemaking “designed to implement, interpret, or prescribe law or policy.” Following A1§2.3 as amended is none of those. End of case.
3. A1§2.3 also says Congress shall do the decennial census for reapportionment “in such manner as they (Congress) shall by Law direct.” That ‘by law direct’ is presently 13USC§141 et seq, passed in 1977 and first applicable to the 1980 census. §141(1) says, “ The Secretary (Commerce) shall, in the tear 1980 and every 10 years thereafter take a decennial census….IN SUCH FORM ABD CONTENT AS HE MAY DETERMINE.” Period. No reasons need be given.
4. Lest this broad delegation by Congress to Commerce be challengeable as overly broad, §141(f)(2) further provided that Sec Commerce “shall, not later than 2 years before the Census, provide (Congress) a report containing the Secretary’s determination of questions proposed. This timing allows Congress to intervene and modify per its own constitutional duty if it sees fit. Ross provided the report, it included the citizenship question that triggered the NY lawsuit. Congress, however, remained and remains officially silent.
5. All 9 justices agreed the citizenship question is constitutional. They disagreed on whether the process was sufficient, because of the poor way the NY case was argued by US deep state attornies missing points 2, 3, and 4.
PDJT has a couple of options.
He can have AG Barr explain all the above, then direct the question be added and dare another lawsuit.
Or, he can have Barr explain all the above (bad courts, bad law, nonsense) then announce he is delaying the Census from April 1 to Dec 1 2020 in order to clarify these matters legally. Note 13USC141 does not say WHEN in 2020 the Census should start nor when it should finish. April 1 is merely a tradition, and the first constitutional use would be the 2022 reapportionment so not finishing until mid 2021 is in principle not a legal problem. That buys 8 months from now to redo the legal process and reprint the Census forms with the question, IF, as the US claimed to get the expedited NY case review, printing had to begin early July 2019 to make the April 1 2020 date.
Dunno (suspect explanations and delay), but am looking forward to this afternoon’s fireworks.

According to Brad Bailey, a criminal defense attorney from Boston and a former federal prosecutor who’s been following the case, the 10-week trial and the way it proceeded is incredibly rare.

He’s essentially going to side step the dems defenses in blocking the citizenship question and get the information on whose in the country, legal and not, from other existing sources held by various agencies, ie SSA, IRS, HUD et al…this is the equivalent of how the Maginot line was dealt with at the outset of WWII.

I think he’s right that POTUS found another way to get the info. However, there is still one problem with that. The census is used to determine how many representatives in Congress that a state can have. As well as electoral votes in presidential elections. If he can’t ask that question on the census, then California is still going to have a bloated number of reps and electoral votes. So in that sense, we are still losing.
I guess I should have watched the press conference. Evidently, Barr answered this question. He said that the EO will allow that information to be gathered in different ways AND that information will be added to the census data the Commerce Department gets to calculate reps and electors. So my concern has been addressed.
I haven’t had a chance to look beyond what I heard on the radio but I believe from other radio reports was that the information gathered by other agencies is to be turned over to the Census Bureau and incorporated into the census itself. Sounds good, but I’m sure there will be a fight over that happening.
Here’s another thought. Fight about it or not I’m trusting that the congress will have changed hands before the data from the census becomes significant. In other words the left is not going to get to use the skewed data that the census will give us in it’s current format. Of course that leaves off court fights but were making tremendous gains there.
IMO the census need not be done at all. All these GIS (Government Information System) programs out there can get more accurate and faster data once properly overlayed / collocated / rastered. They know everything! They can even connect to the postal office to see whose living off the grid. They’re only going to miss the homeless and incarceration and prescription records are two ways to reveal them too.
Tossess in a pet peeve.. What’s the population of my city today, July 2019. All answers take you back to the 2010 census. What! Why? That info exisits and you shouldn’t have to wait for the next census to have a more definitive answer.
Of course they’ll be fall out in all of this down the line. Government with too much info and now able to use it, but we’d get there anyway and it wouldn’t need to be proprietary information, also we will deal with the repercussions down the road. When we do, just remember the Dems pushed this on us.

This fits RIGHT IN with the theory I heard that .mil observed SLOW-DOWN in reporting by the media as they started realizing something was wrong. Next, there seemed to be slow-downs in the reporting from the swing states themselves (particularly PA).
Supposedly, at that point, .mil saw CIA gearing up their “back up hacks” on the tabulation sites, and told Langley in no uncertain terms that the military would strike them and bust them for it – so CIA STOOD DOWN.
The slow-down in the media now makes oodles of sense. Dems and Fake News were all going WTF – these numbers don’t look right.
The part I disagree with is the claim that Johnson and Stein finally got the votes they had been earning all along. It neglects the likelihood that many people turned to those parties for the first time, in disgust at their own (regular) party’s nominee. A LOT of Rs were disgusted that Trump was the choice, likewise on the D side with Hitlary.

Why are we still using paper and not augmenting with tech?
For example, I could log into a gov website and type my name. I form would come up,
“Are you Daughn XXXX?” = yes
Do you live at XXX Bay street in XX town? = yes
Does your social security number end in XXXX? = yes
Please tell us how many bathrooms you have.
If we lay over the prior census, with IRS data, welfare data, SS data, and others, along with a local property records,….. , heck Google maps can tell me what every house in the USA looks like, one by one, the dots would appear on a large map. No one would need to come to my house.
Let’s say my address was 150 Bay Street. And my neighbor logged in to fill out their form at 152 Bay Street, and the chick across the street at 151 Bay Street did their census online. BUT the loser at the end of the street, 159 Bay Street refused to log in……. that means someone would come and visit them.
But think of how much man power we could save…., billions of dollars.
Or, if the house at 159 bay Street did not respond, and the house was empty and for sale, we would know not to count any occupants at that house. With the house visit at 159 Bay Street, we could create an app for the census worker to make minor notes about 150 Bay Street, + 151 + 152 + 153, and so on, without an hour long visit for each house. I remember the 2010 census and the chic was here for so long I fed her lunch.
Or, if we overlay the data with other gov’t data, if I were to count Gunner at my address, but he filled out a census at college, the social security number would kick him out – only one person per social security number allowed. Double voting registration for college students is a HUGE problem and over counts people in larger cities.
OR – we could discover a nest of fake social security numbers —- data turned over to another investigative branch of gov’t.
Or, if the social security number does not match the name, another investigative branch. Or a dead person using a social security number.
And on the rare occasion where we find hundreds of people living at a single address (don’t laugh, I found 330+ people registered to vote at a single address in my voting ward), we know we have a problem. An “alert” can be sent to a local authority for follow up. Think of the efficiency……. we could create a gov’t that actually worked better!
Of course, not everyone has access to internet at home, but millions would log on to solve the census issue manually instead of printing out a form. Think of the trees we could save. We could get AOC to tweet about it.
We have a problem in our region. Many people refuse to fill out the census, causing under representation. Finding someone at home, or someone to answer a door is difficult at best. SOME (if only a few) would fill it out online rather than bother with a home visit. Again, saving manpower.
And, if I were the Dept of Commerce, I would put a series of questions on the census about obtaining citizenship, if the person was here illegally.

Why did you come to this country? A. Economic B. I was scared for my life C. I had a relative here. etc. etc. etc.

So now we have a very early and unusual tropical storm that is forecast to go directly up the Mississippi River, and bring very heavy rain to an area already hit hard by flooding. It’s reminding me a lot of Hurricane Michael last year–rapid intensification over 24 hours and then a direct hit on a US Air Force Base.

Agreed. There’s a story that someone on the east coast of Florida invented something that breaks up the power to steer those storms but they weren’t able to convince the west coast to try it out.
I’m not at all sure what the southern watershed looks like, but this far north, the rivers are down significantly. Still flooded, but the Mississippi at the Arch is not even three feet above flood today. That’s down at least 13 feet. And the river is pretty wide here. We haven’t had significant rain region wide in a few weeks. There’ve been some heavy downpour pop ups, but that’s about it. I actually had to water plants.
Anything with a tropical storm is going to be in flash flood territory. It’s still dangerous. We’ll see what happens. When the remnants of hurricanes come up the Mississippi, what happens depends on the amount of rain dumped. Due to a few weeks of dry weather, we can probably take it better than we could have a month ago.

Generations in the United States have been born and died. We have built great infrastructure projects to adapt the environment for maximum flourishing. One of many examples is our taming of the Mighty Mississippi River by the Army Corps of Engineers. But generations later this infrastructure is beginning to outlive its useful life, and our civilization is silently at risk. Widespread devastation leading to crop failures can and will topple the United States like any other civilization in the past. Civilization cannot survive much less thrive without agriculture. This is obvious to any schoolchild and yet many of our elected (and unelected) leaders act like agriculture doesn’t matter and have contempt for it, the contemporary attitude of “let them eat cake” if you will.
What I continue to observe is the unnecessary complexity and hurdles to updating and upgrading even our most basic, fundamental infrastructure: infrastructure that would in almost all cases save lives and lead to less catastrophic weather effects and losses to cities and agriculture. Regulations are a major one. So-called “environmental” regulations and protections are another. Games with eminent domain and right away yet another. All that failing, old-fashioned graft and corruption do the trick. Was it really necessary for New Orleans to be flooded in 2005? Of course not, but someone thought lining their pockets and padding their votes was more important. Or was there also the motive of intentionally sabotaging the implementation of critical infrastructure to lead to a crisis at an opportune moment, in Rahm Emmanuel’s words, “never let a good crisis go to waste”? Perhaps some both/and thinking can help in these cases. After Bush’s great embarrassment the Democrats swept into the House during the 2006 midterms.
It bears repeating the observation that the “climate change” crowd is opposed at all points to any efforts by man to adapt to changing climate conditions using any technology that adapts the environment. Even a levee of sandbags is too great a burden to bear for the people who see all human activity and productivity in the world as an inherently evil thing in itself. Preventing adequate preparation by civil governments against natural catastrophes has an attractive and undeniable upside: By opposing infrastructure to mitigate against disasters, far greater human tragedies occur, and the self-proclaimed savior of humanity can bleat out on all the airwaves for the people to hear, “We told you so – climate change will destroy us all!” They create the conditions, the disaster happens, they claim to be the solution for it, and they are hailed by the people as the great prophets of doom that will lead us from our technological blindness into the enlightened new world order of sustainable human population.
These kinds of engineered crisis are extremely powerful. Trifling with weather manipulation is nothing compared to the sheer mayhem that can be unleashed by preventing proper precautions from being followed. Does anyone doubt this after the California “Camp Fire” disaster? A little sparky-sparky being set off be a targeted PG&E event is nothing without decades of staged disaster caused by phony “environmental” regulations. Is there much wonder then why Democrats are suddenly hesitant to buy into a multi-Trillion dollar infrastructure bill? I thought the Democrats were the party of public works projects?

Preventing the “tragedy” of property being destroyed when it comes to floods should start with not allowing building in flood plains. And this is where I disagree with your assessment. If we let the rivers go where they would if there were no walls, levees, etc., we wouldn’t be spending the same money over and over again every time a levee fails due to saturation, or the walls have to be replaced due to fatigue. At a local level, we spend a lot of cash on that.
For this sort of stuff, believe it or not, infrastructure is local. My state has poured BILLIONS into approaches for two new bridges built with federal money because they go between states, but also in the last twenty years, we’ve paid for three spans over the Missouri River connecting St. Louis County to St. Charles. Two were shot, and one is the I-70 bridge, so there might have been federal funds there, but the Boone and the Page Avenue Extension, I’m pretty sure were state endeavors. And after this year, the Mississippi flood wall, which is worth its weight in gold, may well need to have new panels. Again. They were replaced after 1993.
What the Army Corps of Engineers REALLY did with the Mississippi, anyway, and I assume the Missouri and other big rivers as well, was keep them from meandering away from the current channels. When they started here in 1867 or so where the Arch now stands, the Mississippi was filling in on the Missouri side and working its way over to Illinois. They put a stop to that. Why? Commercial navigation. Even today, barge shipping and traffic is amazingly lucrative.
As for the climate change folks, they’ll eventually die out since most of them did not reproduce.
By what means? A ship or satellite? Seeding clouds? Chemicals or gas? Hot or cold air or moisture shot into the center of circulation? Radar or laser?
A hurricane or tropical system is massive. Miles and miles.
I would want to know the exact mechanism/means for such an endeavor.
How to guide it once it is produced is another massive problem.
How to generate winds to just the right place.
Not a believer yet, however paranoid and cynical and suspicious I may be.

Well, I tried to call it and got it sorta less than half right. But wow for our VSGPDJT resolution. He has a great legal team working on his behalf.

I must have been out the week / year / decade they were programming, because I had no negative reaction at all.

We dont have a pool, but lots of people in ca dont allow kids over in their pools without the parents present and supervizing. Ive heard of some signing waivers.
