“What is the chief end of man?”

and to enjoy him forever.”
The Bible says that God created all things—including us—for Himself. He is glorified in His creation. “From Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen” (Romans 11:36).
It may be hard to see how Adam and Eve’s falling into sin could bring glory to God. In fact, some might even wonder why, if God knew ahead of time all the trouble they would cause, He made them in the first place.
God is omniscient (Psalm 139:1–6), and He knows the future (Isaiah 46:10). So He definitely knew that Adam and Eve would sin. But He created them anyway and gave them a free will with which they chose to sin.
We must note that Adam and Eve’s falling into sin does not mean that God is the author of sin or that He tempted them to sin (James 1:13). But the fall does serve the purpose of God’s overall plan for creation and mankind.
If we consider the overarching story line of Scripture, we see that biblical history can be roughly divided into three main sections: 1) paradise (Genesis 1—2); 2) paradise lost (Genesis 3—Revelation 20); and 3) paradise regained (Revelation 21—22). By far the largest part of the narrative is devoted to the transition from paradise lost to paradise regained. At the center of this narrative is the cross, which was planned from the very beginning (Acts 2:23).
From God’s Word, we are led to the following conclusions:
1. The fall of mankind was foreknown by God.
2. The crucifixion of Christ, the atonement for God’s elect, was foreordained by God.
3. All people will one day glorify God (Psalm 86:9), and God purposes “to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ” (Ephesians 1:10).
God’s purpose was to create a world in which His glory could be manifest in all its fullness. The glory of God is the overarching goal of creation. In fact, it is the overarching goal of everything He does. The universe was created to display God’s glory (Psalm 19:1), and the wrath of God is revealed against those who fail to glorify God (Romans 1:18–25). The world that best displays the glory of God is the world we have—a world that was allowed to fall, a world that was redeemed, a world that will be restored to its original perfection.
God’s wrath and God’s mercy display the riches of His glory, but we cannot see either without the fall of mankind. We would never know grace if we had never needed grace. Therefore, all of God’s plan—including the fall, election, redemption, and atonement of mankind—serves the purpose of glorifying God. When man fell into sin, God’s mercy was immediately displayed in God’s not killing him on the spot. God’s grace was immediately evident in the covering He provided for their shame (Genesis 3:21).
God’s patience and forbearance were later on display as mankind fell deeper and deeper into sin. God’s justice and wrath were on display when He sent the flood, and God’s mercy and grace were again demonstrated when He saved Noah and his family. God’s holy wrath and perfect justice will be seen in the future when He deals with Satan once and for all (Revelation 20:7–10).
God’s glory is also revealed in His love (1 John 4:16). Our knowledge of God’s love comes from the Person and saving work of Jesus Christ in this fallen world. “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him” (1 John 4:9). Had God decided not to create Adam and Eve, based on His knowledge of their fall—or had He made them automatons with no volition—we would never have truly known what love is.
The ultimate exhibition of God’s glory was at the cross where His wrath, justice, and mercy met. The righteous judgment of all sin was executed at the cross, and God’s grace was on display in His Son’s words, “Father, forgive them” (Luke 23:34). God’s love and grace are manifest in those whom He has saved (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8–10). In the end, God will be glorified as His chosen people worship Him for all eternity with the angels, and the wicked will also glorify God as His righteousness results in the eternal punishment of unrepentant sinners (Philippians 2:11). Without the fall of Adam and Eve, we would never know God’s justice, grace, mercy, or love.
God foresaw Adam and Eve’s fall. He created them (and us) anyway, in His own image, to bring glory to Himself. They were given freedom to make choices. Even though they chose to disobey, their choice became the means by which God’s ultimate will was carried out and by which His full glory will be seen.

So after reloading the original page a bunch of times it appears that the program focuses on the basics of the face including believable imperfections in skin & hair. The periphery of the image like background, clothing, visible “skin” (shoulders, arms, hands), & accessories (glasses, hats, & jewelry) appear to be where the “errors” are most visible to my untrained eye. Also where the background bends or the skin meets the background there are issues that make Some of the images just Not Quite Right…

The Feds aren’t supposed to be doing general police or health — that’s reserved to the states. Article I, Section 8 is SHORT and SWEET.
That is IT. Any Agency purporting to be part of the Federal Government and regulating gas stoves needs to be completely eliminated.
Further, this new “pistol brace” BS…..perhaps we should get back to the “shall not be infringed” and eliminate the F part of ATF. Come to think of it, I don’t see anything about the A or T parts in this list, either.
I don’t see dishwashers, showerheads, or light bulbs here. Nor do I see “To set the minimum wage of laborers” anywhere. I don’t see speed limits or mileage standards, regulation of discharges into the air or water, or maintenance of a vast prison system (you’ll note that counterfeiting money is specifically mentioned as a Federal crime, and I know that treason is defined in a separate section….are there any other Federal crimes that are Constitutional?).
The quoted section comes right out of our Constitution. If the Feds were supposed to be doing anything else, they should propose to amend The Constitution — like they did for Prohibition (the Eighteenth Amendment, repealed by the Twenty-First). Why should there be any Federal involvement in alcohol after the repeal? It was necessary to amend The Constitution to regulate it in the first place.
There are other Amendments, duly enacted, that have made changes to this short list — but nothing to begin to justify the horrific scale of The Swamp.
None of that stuff means anything.
Nobody pays any attention to the Constitution anymore, because nobody protected or defended it.
We paid the military a crap load of money to do that job, and they swore an oath to do it, but then they didn’t.

Look, there are also some digital engineers that can talk your ear off about NAND gates — I found your treatment to be understandable, enjoyable, and informative….because it was at the right level of detail to engage someone who wasn’t “all-in”.
Unfortunately, because it was a bunch of comments responding to comments, it wasn’t particularly linear, so there’d be some editing to make it look like a post. But there’s a lot of good stuff in there.

I measured and looked up every bolt, screw, lock washer, special washer, etc. on the car after I cleaned them on an an antique bench grinder with wire wheels.

Every bolt, screw, washer, etc. from the car is currently in a zip lock bag, with a card the size of a business card inside, printed with all the identification details of that part, and the bags are in the same order as the page numbers in the Assembly Manual, so I can find any part in about 30 second or less.

It’s also on my computer, using a business card template so they could printed out on regular size 8.5″ x 11″ sheets and then cut to the size of business cards, so I can search for any part number and go right to it.
The GM Spec is usually the measurement given in the October 1966 GM Dealer Parts Counter catalog, called a “P&A” or Parts & Accessories” catalog, unless the part isn’t listed, in which case an alternate GM source was used.
The reason for using the late 1966 parts catalog is because 1967 Corvette model year production began in late 1966. I have most of the GM parts catalogs from 1962-1977 though, so I can track part changes (listed in the ‘Revision Record’ section on each page of the Assembly Manual) through the years.
I also include the actual measurements of the part, because they’re usually, but not always, the same as the official GM specified measurement.
This particular bolt wasn’t listed in the 1966 P&A catalog, but I found it in the GM Dealer 1968 Illustrated Parts Book, on page 631, Group 8.900
‘TC’ stands for Thread Count, which means what it sounds like. You take your fingernail, and run it across the bolt threads, counting the number of times your fingernail drops down into the ‘valley’ between threads.
This bolt has a thread count of 19. You can be sure I didn’t do that for fun, it became necessary, because a lot of bolts that come off of an old car are not salvageable. They are either too corroded, or broken, or had to be cut off to remove, etc.
For critical load bearing connections I’ll use new bolts. It’s not worth having the steering linkage (or similar) break while you’re driving, just for originality sake. Places like AMK have new bolts with many of the original headmarks, and I know which headmarks to look for, since I have the originals that came off the car.
Using the originals is always better though, if possible, for parts that don’t present a safety issue. Most need to be replated, whether zinc, cadmium, black phospate, etc., depending on whatever type of plating the original had.
If you are looking for original (used) bolts to replace corroded or broken bolts, one of the few places you can get original replacement bolts from old GM cars (and Corvettes in particular) is eBay.
But you have to know exactly what you’re looking for, because most of the time, the Seller won’t know for sure, or he’s not saying, because he’s there to sell parts, not help you figure out whether the part he’s selling is the part you’re actually looking for 😁
One of the problems with buying used original bolts on eBay is that lots of bolts look very similar, even with the correct manufacturer headmark, but came in varying lengths.
The eBay seller is almost never going to provide the size data (e.g., 3/8-16 x 1-1/4”) for the bolts he is selling.
And you can’t eyeball accurately it from the photo.
But what you can do is take your mouse pointer, and use it to count the number of threads on the bolt in the eBay photo.
And if it matches the Thread Count on the bolt that you need to replace, then you have found the right length bolt.
If it doesn’t match, then you’ve saved yourself from making the mistake of buying the wrong part, at $10 to the sky’s the limit (for some rare bolts).

The boldface line near the bottom is the location where the part is found in the 1967 Corvette Assembly Manual:

The Assembly Manuals have regular page numbers, preceded by a letter.
1963 uses ‘C’, 1964 uses ‘D’, 1965 uses ‘E’, 1966 uses ‘F’ and 1967 uses ‘G’.
GM part number 122145 is found on page G312 of my particular Assembly Manual, which is the oldest used 1967 Assembly Manual I could find, because the oldest Assembly Manuals have the clearest print, due to being earlier generations (of copies, of copies, of copies, etc.). Much better than the current production copies.
There have been lots of Assembly Manuals copied and reprinted by various vendors over the years, so they don’t always have all of the pages in the same order, and some are actually missing a page or two, where others will have those pages but missing some other page, so in order to get a complete manual you will need to track down a few missing pages.
The technically correct page number (where this specific part is located) is C60-C1, and that will not change no matter what Assembly Manual you have. But where that page is G312 in my Assembly Manual, it might be on page G315 in the Assembly Manual being sold by another vendor.
C60 is the air conditioner parts section, for under the hood air conditioning parts, and Sheet (page) C1 is the specific page for the part in question.
On that page, the specific part is Item 5, listed as “122145 BOLT” for the L79 high performance small block engine. The standard 300hp engine bolt is also listed, GM 180122 BOLT.
The Assembly Manual (called an ‘AIM’ for ‘Assembly Instruction Manual’) looks like this:

Oh, man…..there is so much to know about screws and it is so late to start talking about them.
Ever wonder why screws are marked “4-40” or “10-32”?
The “fatness” of everything less than a quarter inch is sorted by wire gauge — that’s the 4 or the 10. Unlike shotguns, wire gauge is smaller at small numbers and bigger at big numbers. Each size has two defined threads — coarse or fine.
That’s when you hit this table — https://www.instockfasteners.com/TOOLS/ScrewThreadTables.ASP .
For a cylinder of 4 gauge, “coarse” is 40 and “fine” is 48. If you had a rod a couple of inches long, you could easily see that there were 40 threads per inch in a coarse thread and 48 threads per inch in a fine.
Similarly, for a cylinder of 10 gauge, the TPI would be 24 or 32.
You might impose this on a cylinder using a die, or impose it on a block of metal with a hole using a tap. In either case, you would want to provide a bit of relief so that the screw wouldn’t immediately seize.
In the event that you did not have the proper tap or die, especially if you were using non-standard measurements of whatever sort, you could “single point” your thread on a lathe. You could make 10-27 screws on a lathe, and 10-27 nuts to work with the screws, even though you couldn’t buy them in stores.
But it is late….

They only made 22,940 Corvettes in 1967 (8,504 coupes and 14,436 convertibles), and 5+ decades later, I would guess that maybe only half of them still survive in some kind of condition.
So maybe less than 11,500 of the ’67 Corvettes remain, in a nation of (supposedly) 330+ million people.

Every so often, we get a little favorable bump. I’m in total agreement. On a different topic, I saw a meme using Clause 17 to say that Congress has the power to free the J6 prisoners because it has been given jurisdiction over D.C. (I expect this to be shot down; just presenting it in case anyone knows about it.)
One issue that immediately springs to mind is that Congress consists of the House and the Senate, not just the House.
I would not be surprised at all if Congress could order this release — or, alternatively, could order consequences for a lack of release — if they weren’t gutless anti-American catamites with delusions of grandeur.
