In Yours Truly’s opinion, this “new approach” has many items to question. For example: the granting of FDA authorization for “new formula” COVID-19 “vaccines”, authorization based on lab-performed experiments on the “new formula” ingredients that produce certain numbers of “antibody titers” that might “correspond” to “effectiveness.” There would be no clinical trials at all, performed either on lab rats or on humans. For another example: COVID-19 “vaccination” will still be “recommended” for pregnant women and for women who have just given birth. This flies in the face of the mounting, and published, evidence that COVID-19 “vaccination” during pregnancy can, and does, result in miscarriages, stillbirths, live births but the infant has medical issues, and so on. In addition, COVID-19 “vaccine” antibodies show up in the breast milk that “vaccinated” new mothers nurse their infants with.

Which makes it plain, in Figure 2, that the COVID-19 “vaccines” will be “recommended” for people who “fit” the diagnosis parameters of multiple types of medical conditions, including pregnant women and women who have just given birth — in other words, these groups of people may well be subjected to multiple types of “convincing” strategies to get them to agree to take these “vaccines.” Who made the decisions on the types of “risk factors” for the “increased at-risk” groups?

It appears to be unclear, in Yours Truly’s opinion, about where this “new approach to COVID-19 vaccination” fits in as regards the “Generation Gold Standard” that was announced a few weeks ago. Does the federal government control “new” COVID-19 “vaccine” development processes? Where does Big Pharma (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Novavax) come in? Is that what “Sponsor-Driven” clinical trials means (see the above image)?
However, here’s the real situation: In Yours Truly’s opinion, given that the initial EUA granted by the FDA to the Pfizer-BioNTech BNT162b2 on 11 December 2020 was invalid — that means, by extension, that every other EUA (and “Full Approval”) of the modRNA COVID-19 “vaccines” is also invalid: which would include any “formula” that is “recommended” for the “2025-2026 COVID-19 Vaccine”. Not at an angle. She does try to flee the car by escaping over the back seat. She doesn’t have to have seen the gun to have a good sense of the direction of where it was fired.

I think the debunk video does a really excellent job of this. He’s steering a car under fire.
The key to realizing how well that debunk works, is to realize that the time between frames is so tiny that most people can’t even change their own body movements to deviate from an intentional motion in that time. These times are comparable to altering trajectory while swatting a fly. The dude does NOT turn around and take a head shot in that timeframe. Even with training.
I think going to a *very slightly* prior frame with higher focus is genius, and the “kill shot” on the driver shooter theory. The idea that these things are anything but what is shown earlier become so unlikely as to lose value completely, IMO.
Why propose anything more than a bad frame, which it obviously is?
We have two shots minimum – almost certainly multiple shooters – and a simple misinterpretation of a video which appears to be pushed as disinformation – super-simple and very typical of our IC, which covered up by idiocy at first (Warren report) and then feeding wrong interpretations as conspiracy theories later. As for Jackie trying to flee the car and her thoughts about it, I have read that she said she didn’t remember crawling over the top of the car. One speculation is that she was trying to retrieve parts of JFK’s brain, which is awful. A logical theory, IMO, is that she was either wanting help from the SS agent or was trying to help him come closer. There’s no way that she was fleeing in fear.
That people insist on smearing the reputation of an innocent man is deplorable, IMO. The problems with the theory, as you have pointed out, are legion. The agent sitting beside him would have known if a gun had gone off right beside his head, for one thing.
As for the number of shots, there was one that struck Connolly and hit him in multiple places. One theory is that that shot had struck JFK first. I don’t know how likely that is.

To me it supports the Zaprudar film as it opens up pathways for an inside job for which of course Greer and the co driver could of been a part of.
Greer being part of the Orange Order lends to the theory as well as his ulcer. Of course we can make up reasons why they should not.
The second hand account of Greer’s admissions later on also support the Zaprudar film. He heard three shots. Not sure when this is said, but for the longest time it was just two shots if I understand correctly.
Holding her head until he thought he might collapse it while sounding okay can also fit changing her impressions early on what she thought. How else might one try to control a witness in a fragile state if that is what it was?
Her going over the back seat seemed to very much seem like her trying to flee the car. At no time is she trying to scoop up brain matter and by theories that every one in the car was not out to kill her why go over the back seat. Why seek help from behind, a direction she was not facing? This seems illogical to me.
Personally I’ve never had an opinion on this until I’d seen the Zaprudar film. It does a fair job of what it purports to show.
That they had the film with the floating tree out there so long that shows the driver never turning back should say something as well. Why was that allowed to exist for so long unless it was insiders that made it happen?

With all the many theories that claim people in power had a hand in his murder then allowing Greer into the plot is not so far fetched and actually makes sense IMO.

Greer knew something had happened behind him. For all we know, the occupants of the car could have been screaming or saying things in addition to the sound of the gunshots. John Connolly said, “They’re going to kill us all!” Of course Greer turned his head back.
It is smearing an innocent man, IMO. There is zero evidence that he fired a shot or had anything to do with it.

I have noticed that happening to me here for what seems like a couple years now.
It’s like something on the periphery of consciousness, that I must have seen while scrolling rapidly to get to some other post I’m looking for, and then writing my reply.
Only afterwards, while taking my time and reading other posts, did I realize that I used a particular uncommon word or phrase that had to have been suggested to my (or through my) subconscious, because I must have ‘seen’ it in another post, without consciously registering that I saw or read it.
I don’t experience it regularly, but I would guess maybe once a month.
It’s sort of like noticing deja vu, which doesn’t happen to me very often.
It’s momentarily surprising, but after thinking about it for a few seconds, there’s not much I can do with (or about) it, and I have to get back to what I was doing before, so all I can do is just let it go.

So this is a data scanning and recording phenomenon, AND (and this is very critical) you will note that it aligns with yesterday’s “coffee and COVID” explanation of the AI core, which is the formation of textual information relationships, in which allowing learning to basically hyperlink across text (warping outside of linearity) was key to the new AI abilities, which in my explanatory world means (also) making its intelligence look more like ours, which makes us think it’s smarter. So what they did was make it read more like us, as opposed to how we THINK we read, and so now it acts more like us after reading.

I would think that the circumstance we are both describing only occurs under very specific conditions.
For example, it would not normally (or even possibly) occur if we were reading a book, because that would be linear, we would only be seeing or scanning text in the intended order, without the ability to scan or scroll through prior text (because we would have read any prior text very intentionally).
The only circumstance that occurs to me at the moment were the phenomenon we both described could (and apparently does) happen, is when humans are scrolling, on a computer or tablet or cell phone, through a large amount of text, too fast to read or comprehend, but apparently slow enough for our subconscious to register various words or phrases, which we sometimes incorporate into our own reply, at least in some cases where (or when) we make a reply.
What would be interesting (to me) to know is how speed readers (which I am definitely not) are able process what they read.
Because I suspect we are doing the same thing, in a limited and unintentional way, when we rapidly scroll through long (or multiple short) text posts.
I haven’t learned the skill of speed reading, but if I did, I suspect I would experience this phenomenon almost constantly, because I would be processing a lot more of the text as it scrolled by, or maybe be a lot more aware of the text as it scrolled by, than I do (or am) without the skill of speed reading.
Either way, I suspect human speed-reading has something to do with the phenomenon, which might help us to better what exactly the A.I. is doing, albeit at an exponential rate.

I have my own thoughts and my own theories. Multiple shooters, obviously, but IMO the driver-shot theories are chaff.
Yet they make great sense even with all the chaff. So there’s that. 
The best chaff needs to be internally consistent, so as to “make sense” and appear “real compared to itself”, but to fail reality in a place that people typically overlook.
TIME is where this fails – and time is a great tool for fooling people.

Prayers are certainly continuing.
They never found the source of the bleeding. They Thought it was likely in the vicinity of the original ERCP but there were no issues there on the second ERCP accept a tiny amount of “debris” in the stent, which they cleaned out. Basically they are watching the labs & even restarted his baby aspirin so they are just monitoring but not actively concerned about the bleeding, as far as I can tell.

He shot them in cold blood, with premeditation, and when the woman crawled away, he reloaded and shot her some more. Then she stopped crawling, sat upright, almost certainly begging for her life, and he executed her.

The Pfizer-BioNTech modRNA COVID-19 “vaccine” was FDA “fully approved” under the name COMIRNATY in August 2022. The Pfizer-BioNTech modRNA COVID-19 “vaccine” given to persons age 6 months to 11 years of age is still under EUA and is called “Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine.”
The Moderna modRNA COVID-19 “vaccine” was FDA “fully approved” under the name SPIKEVAX in January 2022. The Moderna modRNA COVID-19 “vaccine” given to persons age 6 months to 11 years of age is still under EUA and is called “Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine.”
The Novavax NUVAXOVID “inactivated protein” COVID-19 “vaccine”, that was FDA “fully approved” on 19 May 2025, is for persons age 65 years and older, EXCEPT for persons age 12 years to 64 years who have at least one of the conditions on the Dr. Vasad and Dr. Makary list that puts these persons “at increased risk of severe complications from COVID-19 infection.”
HOWEVER — There is NO legal liability in force for ANY of the “vaccines” listed above, due to the “12th Amendment Extension of the PREP Act for COVID-19 Medical Countermeasures” document that was signed by then-HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra on 11 December 2024. What will be ** interesting ** is when (not if) private insurance companies (such as, for example, Aetna), and/or Medicare/Medicaid, begin to reduce benefits to — cut payments for — stop insuring — persons in any of the “increased risk” categories if they don’t comply with future “recommendations” to get COVID-19 “vaccinated.”
Example, for argument’s sake: Let’s say a person, age 70, is living in a care facility/nursing home that is paid for by Medicaid. This person has, for example, heart disease, which would put them into one of the “increased risk” categories in the Drs. Prasad and Makary “new approach” of Figure 2 above in today’s post. Let’s say that the MD in charge of the care facility / nursing home “recommends” that the person get COVID-19 “vaccinated”, and the person refuses. Doesn’t matter why the person refuses (religious reasons, “conscientious objection”, ethical reasons, etc.) “All of a sudden”, Medicaid stops payment to the care facility/nursing home for the person.
Don’t think that can happen down the road? Yours Truly thinks it can.

I’m thinking back to earlier times in America, when there were no such things as “care facilities.” Those are another invention of Big Medicine. They need to go. People need to get back to the idea that we care for our elderly and sick at home. And also to understand that people actually do die at some point. We have become a society of lazy, entitled, narcissistic, spoiled brats, who want to relegate responsibility for anything difficult to somebody, anybody, else. It’s needs to stop.
I agree for the most part, but there are situations where that is impossible without a great deal of help. If someone is the bread winner, they can’t quit their job and take care of a patient full-time, including all through the night. One can hire helpers, but it is exorbitantly expensive (as are care facilities). Even if one does not have to go to work, the job of caring for a person with multiple infirmities 24/7 is too much, especially if some of the care involves skilled nursing.
What happened is FEMINISM (care of the Rockerfellers & the CIA BTW) who convinced women to work outside the home SO THEIR WORK COULD BE TAXED. Once a woman works outside the home, she has less children, sees no reason to marry and does not have time to care for the elderly.

I always said everyone wants to inherit but not one wants to take care of the parents or the dog or cat who is left behind if parents die.
I was blunt with my kids take my dog and cats or I give my money to other places.
My daughter wants us to move closer to CT. There is a nursing home close to her home first one buys a home and the assistant living and then nursing care.
We do not want to do that because our home is paid for and I am not willing to shell out 3 to 4 hundred million for a 1979 old wood build home plus $600 a month for upkeep. Electricity is very expensive double I pay now and taxes are high.
I want to die at home both my in laws did. I was fortunate to take care of my wonderful father in law. When he died we took mom to our home where she lived out her life.
I think putting parents into nursing homes is easier on the kids . I noticed when I was visiting care homes a lot that once parents were situated the family came less and less. Parents were sitting waiting and always disappointed when no one came. Some parents move closer to the kids but almost saw them less when closer.
Not all people are selfish but enough are and often those who did the most for their kids got the least attention.

My aunt in Tennessee took in my grandmother (in a separate house on the property). When grams became unable to keep up the house, my aunt moved her into a spare bedroom.
It was only when my grandma’s dementia became an immediate risk to herself and others (putting operating curling iron in underwear drawer of dresser, for instance), that she was placed in a nursing home with great reluctance.

Some of the posters here have noted that FRCP 65(c) requires that the plaintiff seeking an injunction in federal court post a bond:

The Lawfare plaintiffs have not been doing this, and the Democratic judges have not been requiring it.
Tucked into the Big, Beautiful Bill is a provision that states:
“No court of the United States may use appropriated funds to enforce a contempt citation for failure to comply with an injunction or temporary restraining order if no security was given when the injunction or order was issued.”

In this VIDEO clip, DeKalb Board of Elections Attorney, Brent Herrin explains to the State Election Board that: “…TABULATING MACHINES WERE NOT ACCURATE. A decision by the board was made to do a HAND RECOUNT to ensure accurate results of the election,” Keisha Smith, DeKalb Elections Director, nods her head repeatedly in agreement.

Georgia’s Dominion voting system declared the wrong winners for the May 22, 2024 DeKalb Co. District 2 Commission primary. It only became known because a candidate received no votes in the precinct where she and her husband lived and voted. When she reported the problem to the DeKalb Election Board, they ordered a machine recount that produced the same results again. They then conducted a hand count of the race that proved the voting system shorted the candidate 3049 of her actual 4078 votes, over 74% of her total votes. The system gave 1456 of her votes to one of her opponents and failed to count another 1805 of her votes. The July 15, 2022 DeKalb Co. Election Board materials attributed the massive miscount to a complex ballot alignment error after one candidate withdrew from the race. However, no one has ever been willing to explain why the system failed to count 1805 votes.
So what really happened?
Logic and accuracy testing obviously did not catch the error (we told you it is unreliable);
There were a combination of problems due to candidate withdrawal, restricting changes, inadequate testing and unhelpful instructions from the SOS office;
We now know the SOS office told DeKalb to disable the counting of one candidates votes which did not resolve the issue and complicated the problem even further;
We also know that Georgia still suffers from the QR Code Signature Mismatch Error that caused entire ballots to be rejected in Tennessee;
The Tennessee SOS recommended discontinuing the use of the nearly identical Dominion Democracy Suite 5.5 system we use in Georgia.
But what if the candidate had not gotten zero votes in her own precinct? How many times has this happened without detection? We will never know. This is a national security issue.
That is why we need to UNPLUG VOTING SYSTEMS throughout America and replace them with publicly recorded hand counts. No secret counts, no disputes, no machine errors. Just honest, accurate results.

Well, then there’s that time, about 20 years ago or so, that Yours Truly tried an “eco-friendly” hair dye to color her hair. The object was to try and recreate the “flaming Irish red” natural hair color that I was born with.
What happened was that my hair turned out a kind of purple+red color — that didn’t wash out for weeks!
Since then, Yours Truly has never tried dyeing her hair again. I just let Nature take care of the color.
The real test is how many guys tried to get you to go out with them.

“Finally, some good news out of a state that actually trusts its citizens. Oklahoma just passed House Bill 2818—and it’s a big upgrade for property defense. Signed by Gov. Stitt on May 15, the bill immediately went into effect thanks to an emergency enactment clause.
What does HB 2818 do? It updates Oklahoma’s firearm statutes to say this loud and clear: if you’re a lawful gun owner, you now have the right to point a firearm not just in defense of yourself or others, but also to defend your property. That includes land you own, rent, or occupy with permission—no concealed carry permit required.

This isn’t about using deadly force recklessly. It’s about allowing law-abiding citizens to send a clear message to criminals: don’t even try it.
Washington Gun Law President William Kirk broke it down best: “This is a FAFO bill. If you’re thinking of committing a crime in Oklahoma, think twice.”

This is considerably better than CO law (which actually isn’t all that bad when it comes to using a gun).
In Colorado “warning shots” and the like are a bad idea, for instance, or even sometimes just mentioning you have a gun or showing it (“brandishing”). If you’ve pulled a gun, you had better believe you are in such imminent danger that it’s already time for you to use it in earnest.
I think that’s the way most places are, and hopefully that will change to being like it is now in Oklahoma.
From everything I’ve seen and read, there are far more instances of stopping a crime by ‘brandishing’ than there are instances of actual self-defense shootings.
Brandishing is against the law in most places, but you can’t shoot unless you draw your gun, and IF you draw your gun and the bad guy gives up and runs away before you can shoot, that seems like a positive outcome…
I don’t know why the “law” tries to make that so difficult, or tries to put the defender in a position of needing to pull the trigger in order to justify drawing the gun in the first place.
In most scenarios, the ‘law’ should be happy if the bad guy runs away and nobody goes to the hospital or the morgue.
Common sense. Needs to be contagious across all 50 states.
We are not seeing much in the way of business this year. I mentioned to hubby that I thought the kids just are not there so I looked at the US fertility rate. Replacement rate is about 2.1. We are now down to 1.6, well below replacement!!!

Based mostly on yootoob videos (and looking at subscriber stats and views), the problem is way beyond crisis level, and many people (mostly Gen X or older) are mostly in the dark about it.
I wasn’t really aware of the dynamics surrounding the issue until maybe six months ago, and I only became aware of it because the algos started putting the content in my suggested-watch list. Eventually I watched one, and it was like going down a whole new rabbit-hole.
There is a lot to it, but apparently the macro-problem is a bad mix between female nature (hypergamy, attention-seeking), feminist-toxicity (and the beta simp boys who feed their narcissism), and social media, which fuels it all.

President Trump Announces 50% Tariff Rate on EU Products Effective June 1st

SD: “Those who followed the first-term trade negotiations will likely remember the challenges of dealing with the European Union and their entrenched dependency on retaining the Marshall Plan system; a one-way tariff process that enabled Europe to rebuild after World War II.

Unfortunately, as with all long-term financial subsidies, the beneficiary becomes dependent and retaining benefit is their only objective.
Former Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross spent the majority of his time focused on trying to negotiate with the EU to remove these ridiculous trade benefits that have long exhausted their usefulness. Enough is enough.
Term-two Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has the same regional assignment formerly held by Wilbur Ross, with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer in full support.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has ASEAN nations as his primary regional focus, Lutnick’s primary region is the EU and President Trump is personally attentive to China and the USMCA. USTR Greer then goes to the primary with the closest deal under consideration and organizes the paper construct, the technical aspects. It’s an overall similar arrangement to term-1 only with a much bigger scope.
As would be expected from historic reference points in trying to break this insufferable one-way Marshall Plan system, the EU is once again operating in bad faith and will not give up their status. When President Trump says the entire reason for the EU to form was to ensure their retention of this Marshall Plan benefit, he’s not wrong. That’s the brutally honest background.
President Trump has announced today that a 50% tariff rate will be applied toward all EU imports until such a time as they come to the negotiation process willing to let go of their economic model dependent on the one-way benefit. There really is no other way to break the Gordian trade knot, other than to cut it – forcefully.
President Trump (via Truth Social) – “The European Union, which was formed for the primary purpose of taking advantage of the United States on TRADE, has been very difficult to deal with. Their powerful Trade Barriers, Vat Taxes, ridiculous Corporate Penalties, Non-Monetary Trade Barriers, Monetary Manipulations, unfair and unjustified lawsuits against Americans Companies, and more, have led to a Trade Deficit with the U.S. of more than $250,000,000 a year, a number which is totally unacceptable. Our discussions with them are going nowhere! Therefore, I am recommending a straight 50% Tariff on the European Union, starting on June 1, 2025. There is no Tariff if the product is built or manufactured in the United States. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

President Trump has other points of leverage and pressure that can be applied, including a U.S. withdrawal from NATO or a drawdown of U.S military presence, forcing the EU to spend more for their own security. However, the increasingly firm nudges from President Trump in that direction have resulted in EU words, not EU actions.
I fully support a more confrontational trade position from the USA toward the primary beneficiaries of these old trade systems, China, the EU and Canada. China is the biggest problem, but the EU dependency system is the most entrenched. Canada will be confronted when the USMCA is reopened for negotiation and two bilateral Free Trade Agreements are the likely outcome.
In addition to the Marshall Plan aspect, the EU is not going to give up their trade advantage position for the same reason Canada will not. In order to get to a place of free and reciprocal trade with both Canada and the EU both economic models need to give up their underlying “climate change” policies.
The financial benefits the EU and Canada receive via trade subsidies and one-way rules is the money that fundamentally underpins their ability to chase rainbow energy policy. If Canada and the EU had to finance their own “Green Energy” initiatives without the money gained from the U.S. trade imbalance, they would not be able to afford it. This is the core of the problem. It’s not just an entrenched unwillingness; there’s also an ideologically entrenched inability.
We have accepted and discussed this dynamic for years on these pages, and what we are going to see with the trade confrontation both in Canada and the EU is very predictable. Eventually, if the EU and Canada refuse to move, there is going to be a necessary cleaving; essentially a trade embargo blocking them from USA access….
… That’s basically what a 50% tariff rate is!“
It really goes without saying, (really it does because none of these 50% Trade tariff stories say such) but the added benefit which I doubt escapes Trump even if it escapes everyone else but Trump has just made support in the Ukraine War that much more harder and it comes at the time when the EU has instituted new sanctions on Russia through punishing other countries for skirting the sanctions for which the US has said it will not join in adding these new sanctions.

Hey Guys, a super quickie. Josiah is being discharged today!!!
I’d gone downstairs to access a public computer in a different part of the hospital, maybe 1/2 mile away. The Nurse gave me a “unit phone” since Josiah didn’t want me taking his cell with me. So I got him through his breakfast, which we ate closer to lunch time, & ensured everything was OK with him before I left with the Unit Cell Phone.
After working about an hour on the computer the doctor called to discuss Josiah’s situation & his planned discharge! He called the prescription in to the hospital pharmacy that is “on my way” from where I’m on the computer & Josiah’s ICU room. I’m trying to confirm his meds are ready for pickup then I’ll get them & a wheelchair to use as a cart to get all our stuff out of J’s room.
I called J to touch base & found that he’d already informed Michael that he was coming home today. I’d called M several times from this Unit Cell but he never picked up.
Bottom line we Might be outta here in under 2 hours!!!!!!! Praise God!!!
Thanks again for all your prayers. Please lift up our family as we come to mind as a week from today is the last event, funeral, related to my mother’s death. Josiah is pretty weak & said he might need me to help him into the shower AND how many 29 year old sons make such a request of their mothers LOL
Can’t wait to get home & see everyone before Michael, Brandon (who’s planning on spending the night at our house so they get on the road Early tomorrow), Clarissa, & Lillian head Up North for a whirlwind 1-2 night trip to deal w/ Dad’s Northern Michigan properties. SD: “I returned yesterday following another whirlwind trip to the one place in America I genuinely believe is rooted in evil enterprise, Washington DC. What I found there was similar to prior visits yet there are some structural and cultural changes afoot that are visible if you know what to look for.
First, the level of opposition to Donald Trump is bigger than in term-1, way bigger. The hatred is likely a magnitude of three times as strong against President Trump and what/who he represents. The opposition sentiment, now three times more vitriolic, is held by around 90% of the inhabitants of the region, perhaps more but I am trying to be gracious.
Somewhere are 90% of every thought, word, deed and action, as well as tone therein, is bitterly against President Trump’s perspectives, policies and intentions for government reform. In term-1 and prior visits that percentage was likely around 75%. The current scale of opposition is actually stunning albeit not surprising. However, it does give you an idea of how impossible it is for a MAGA-minded political official to live, work and even breathe in the environment.
This is why so many elected officials we count on collapse after only a few weeks/months of effort. The hatred they face is like a flea looking into a furnace, and unfortunately when put into that kind of battle geography only those who carry the purest armor of God are going to keep stable footing. Everyone from the 7-11 attendant to the pizza delivery guy and beyond, will openly hate you if you even suspect you are Trumpy minded or even MAGA adjacent.
There is pure evil deep within the Washington DC hatred, and it emanates, vibrates like a frequency you can physically feel and mentally sense. This is not America, not even close. In the last two decades this place of “fundamental transformation” has become something else entirely. I will note there is approximately 30% more office space for lease today than prior visits. Perhaps DC is shrinking.
The various independent American survivors trying to cope within the region live like French resistance forces under Nazi occupation rules. Secret meetings, safe venues, careful transit, eye signals, questioning glances, knowing nods, stunning nervousness and other identifying survival tradecraft are very visible. This is a putrid and horrid place. In its modern form it is much worse than most can fathom, and you would be safer on the streets of Mogadishu.
Inside the security perimeter where the illusion of democracy is maintained for tourists’ things are safer; however, getting there requires a very deliberate effort to keep your head down, walk briskly through the safari zone and stay on very narrow paths carefully avoiding eye-contact lest you be suspected as an outsider. Yeah, I dislike this place immensely.
My favorite question, and I’m very careful about how I ask it, is: “when was the last time you encountered joy?” Try asking that question in Washington DC and you’ll need more than a Snickers as you await a reply.
We need to emphasize this context because this is the place where President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have to operate in order to carry out their official duties.
It is absolutely no surprise why President Trump and First Lady Melania try to exit the region frequently in order to breathe.
As an apex predator and warrior Donald Trump has keen survival skills, but the scale of the opposition is intense.
I often think about the level of mental fortitude it would take to exist in this environment of constant probing attacks because it helps to remind me how strong President Donald J Trump really is. [I have my wrist stopwatch timed to spend 47 minutes in focused prayer and thankfulness each evening before bed, for exactly that reason.]
Overall, my objective was successful, and I am confident President Trump has people earnestly trying to bring reform that could change the direction of our national journey.
From my perspective the problem isn’t the motive of the people trying to get things done; the biggest problem they face is their ability given the scale of the problem.
There is a big difference between what the problems look like and what the problems actually are, and the business system inside Washington DC operates on maintenance of the former, while the latter is never addressed. President Trump has this challenge in part because the American people have a different view of the core problem. I digress.
♦ Prioritization.
Think of what President Trump is attempting. In an average day President Trump has to support his cabinet efforts, take phone calls from global interests, address surfacing crisis, negotiate how to keep people moving forward, maintain a focus on national economic benefit, try and bring an end to expensive conflict, coordinate with legislative allies, respond to questions, defend the advances and stabilize the ramparts against inbound attacks.
In the big picture, President Trump is a dealmaker for material benefits that deliver substantive financial benefits to the American people who go about their daily lives trying to do the best they can for themselves and their family. MAGAnomics is at the core of the effort, whether through trade, tax policy, energy policy, resource development, deregulation or just trying to convince multinationals that prosperity in America is in their best interest.
There are only 24 hours in a day and President Trump works in a more focused manner on that priority than any modern president before him.
Everything else falls into a second tier of prioritization. Yes, the Silo reform efforts are critically important, but at the same time priorities have to be made if the biggest impacts are going to be felt.
So, President Trump provides the greatest opportunities for the second tier to succeed by appointing the best people he knows are available and supporting everything they ask of him in return as they go about their endeavors. However, President Trump cannot reasonably micromanage the daily tasks within each of the silo reform efforts. That’s what cabinet level ministers are appointed to achieve, and the absence of progress is where we find the majority of the frustration expressed by the MAGA-supporting American electorate.
Yes, ultimately the buck stops with the desk in the Oval Office, and it is not supportive of the mission objective to avoid that reality. However, cabinet members have a role and responsibility to deliver on the expectations and turning fire toward President Trump, regardless of the merit of the frustration underpinning the fire, is also not going to change the responsibility dynamic.
The leaders of the various cabinet agencies are responsible for the executive decision-making within a governmental reform effort.
President Trump’s apex priority focus is on the economic stuff that touches every American life. On those issues he doesn’t delegate the potential for success, he directly ensures success is achieved. Then, for the lesser, albeit also incredibly important – but not the apex stuff, Trump provides the opportunity for the greatest success but cannot micromanage every nuance. There’s just not enough time in a day.
What we may be noticing, via the absence of the success or progress many people desire, is not a disinterest by Trump to achieve the goals of silo reform amid some of the most historically challenging agencies (DOJ, FBI, etc.), but rather the inability or incompetence of the best option Trump had to get it done.
I do not assign or target frustration toward President Trump; I direct my ire toward the cabinet officials and their decision-making.
At CTH we see things as they are, not as we would wish them to be.
♦ Recently a thought exercise via the Twitter was presented around the issue of assigned trust then and now. I modify that a little bit to hit more on the expectation equation. What competency or effectiveness was expected, versus what we are seeing.
Harmeet Dhillon: 15% effectiveness expected / 20% effectiveness now visible. The only DOJ-CRD change was the elimination of Disparate Impact, that caused around 200 people to leave because they no longer had anything to do. According to her public promotion tour, Dhillon is now reviewing ‘Consent Decrees.’
Kash Patel: 15% then / 15% now. The guy is unchanged because expectations were/are low to begin with. Current FBI people within the agency openly admit their director is in over his head and state he has no idea what is actually happening in the agency he leads. He is fed busy-work to keep him occupied, and he likes the indulgences afforded by the position.
Dan Bongino: 50% then / 25% now. The Stephen Jensen promotion rollout is an example of non-leadership. If Bongino and Kash Patel were going to be earnest, and if what they claimed recently is true, they should have been visibly open about making the FBI’s lead J6 attack dog a whistleblower and then promoting him. Unfortunately, they view sunlight as against their institutional interests. The DC Silo system loves that approach.
Marco Rubio: 25% then / 70% now. Remarkably his confrontation with the Senate, with USAID, with VISAs, and calling Ukraine a “USA proxy war” were big jumps in the effectiveness and competency versus what was expected. Still watching for direct IC confrontation with his move to NatSec Advisor, but I totally understand why President Trump is supporting him with more authority.
Pam Bondi: 10% then / 10% now. Her entire value is keeping Main Justice pro-Trump. Pam Bondi is keeping the internal lawfare operatives inside the DOJ from targeting the office of the president. She’s doing that well, but that’s the sum total of what we expected. Bottom line, she’s a fibber, a user and a socialite climber.
RFK Jr: 25% then / 40% now. Vaccine removals/confrontation, Rx advertising stopped, and Food Safety reform are still outstanding issues. But to be fair, he seems to be leaning in.
Tom Homan: 100% then / 100% now. Mr consistency.
Mike Waltz: 5% then / 0% now. CTH said Waltz would be the first one gone, and he was. Mike Waltz was/is the Nikki Haley of Term 2.
Kristi Noem: 25% then / 50% now. Considerably exceeding expectations. Big border support gains and her honest evaluation of a “totally corrupt FBI” were big steps forward in sunlight; but lots remain to be done.
Tulsi Gabbard: 25% then / 50% now. Biggest jump was from removing National Intelligence Council (NIC) from the CIA. That was a huge and proactive move that likely headed off a major effort by the IC to undermine President Trump. But again, the ultimate IC confrontation and declassification stuff remains. [I somewhat suspect Gabbard will shift from DNI to NatSec Advisor]
Howard Lutnick: 50% then / 75% now. Solid support for MAGAnomics, Trump tariff approach and more.
Kevin Hassett: 80% then / 90% now. Solid on tax effort, trade assists and structural domestic MAGAnomics. Last 10% = Results, and the USMCA issues.
USTR Greer: 25% then / 75% now. Excellent confrontation of EU, ASEAN and China on trade. He’s exceeding expectations by following the lead of President Donald Trump. Greer also didn’t flinch when Trump hit the tariff hammer during his congressional testimony. Impressive.
Scott Bessent: 50% then / 75% now. Making the whistleblowers part of the audit group was a good move. Trade and MAGAnomics policy advancement are very solid. Strong supportive MAGAnomic understanding and excellent follow-through.
John Ratcliffe: 25% then / 25% now. The CIA still appears to be operating albeit without the conduit of USAID. The Qatari stuff is annoying and the CIA operations in Ukraine are unchanged. With CIA operations in EU continuing as before, the status of the CIA operating as a shadow government cannot be seen as improving. Tulsi Gabbard intercepted the NIC issue, but for the NIC to be plotting while Ratcliffe is Director, well… meh.
Like I said, AG Pam Bondi appears to have one job, keep main justice from Lawfare operations against the White House. She seems to have her hands around that now. Meanwhile these guys are doing the heavy lifting regionally (Blanche), at the Supreme Court (Sauer) and within the silo investigative stuff everyone wants to see lead to accountability (Martin). We are all waiting for results.

Noem and Gabbard good upgrades and started them about right but they really are ahead of the pack. Rubio is plain wrong. He’s bought into the narrative that Putin is bad and hasn’t done much to break from that. It won’t be easy for him when the time comes to change. He is trying to keep the doors open but he can do more. No qualms with the rest of it worth mentioning. As Truth says, no need to go there to make these kinds of assessments.

Hi everybody, Josiah & I are home & he’s already asleep after a much needed shower. Michael made him the dinner of his choice while I put some of our stuff away. I checked email (in case there might have been Mom related communications). In a couple of very brief replies I kept dozing off…I’m whipped.
Brandon is supposed to come here pretty soon & sleep over for the planned 6am departure time with Michael & our dog Jules to head Up North & check on Dad’s properties & hopefully get the Cottage functional for whenever Dad wants to head North to visit Mom’s grave & just be where he made some of his most treasured memories.

I just had a peculiar encounter.
While at the local supermarket, after putting stuff in my car and putting the cart away, a young lady came up to me and asked if I could give her a ride down the street to the corner. She had loaded up on 12-packs of Dr. Pepper and was contemplating how heavy they were.
Chatting during the ride, it turns out her name was something like Schnizanna Kuzim, she was originally from Belarus (near Minsk) but spent 23 years in Israel, was freshly in Silicon Valley (with a green card) and was hoping to find a job as a dance instructor. This all sounds terribly improbable, though amusing.
I delivered her to the street with her townhouse (not to the door) tucked-in behind Santana Row employee parking — If I had just taken her down the street to the corner, it would have only been 1/3 the distance.
Just an odd little experience…..
You sure live one wild and crazy life!
