I see nothing immoral about examining a person’s record to determine whether they have committed fraud or crime. Many on the Left have gotten away with such crimes for decades because their cronies let them skate and were often in on it.
We still don’t know what all they have done. If not for the discovery of burn bags, mortgage records, and the like, we would not be able to stop these people from their destructive behavior. I have no doubt many have been involved in voter fraud as well, which affects the entire country.
I see no value in “morally” standing back while they persecute Trump with lawfare but we’re too “righteous” to fight back by revealing their own fraudulent acts.

What we are seeing now is so rare that I have been pleasantly shocked that it is happening. They have gotten away with crime for decades with no one doing anything about it. Referrals to the DOJ have been either unheard of, or if there were referrals, they were ignored so their political cronies could continue to tear down this country and those on the Right. As it is, some of it might be past the statute of limitations and some of it will be hard to prosecute and prove. But the wrongdoing and criminality are there, and making it known and putting those who have done wrong on the defensive is essential to stopping their destructive paths.

If potential criminal activity is found, refer it for prosecution. This is done all the time by investigative law enforcement under prescribed conditions. Public officials sign releases that permit investigative background checks. Same with government officials who have classified status. Credible whistle blower, CI, etc. information leads to investigations.
For example, Letitia James did as Pgroup suggested. Knowingly used a false valuation of Mar-a-Lago as the basis for claiming PDT violated banking laws. That was a pretext for doing a corrupt investigation that led to the support of the accusation as they tried to find other things they thought they could charge him with doing. Not cool.
Nobody is suggesting our side do likewise. Just use the legal fire and stop avoiding conflict. That is all that is needed.

IMO, referrals to DOJ are not that. When crimes are found and reported, and a fair application of normal standards would say “prosecute”, we have to do it, IMO, no matter how repellent the person who makes the referral. The person referring the crime may be motivated by the worst instincts or motives, but that should not matter.
The trouble is, the “Fourth Branch” has created double standards for action, and has itself learned to refer possible crimes it wants to pursue according to that double standard – including investigation of the innocent for their inconvenience or even exclusion from politics – as they did to Trump.
Yes. “Investigation of the innocent” is what they’ve been doing for ages. I’m not in support of doing that. I’m saying look at people’s records, and if they are found to have done illegal acts, use that against them. (That is not the same as using lawfare against innocent people, and there is nothing immoral about examining records.) Otherwise, we might as well sit back and let them win—which has been the norm because we have not had fighters on our side.
Because we are now on offense, Adam Schiff, Letitia James, Fani Willis, Lisa Cook, and others are now having to face what I hope will be justice. Every one of those people is instrumental in either the attempted takedown of Donald Trump or the annihilation of this country’s founding principles, or both.
P, I commend you for trying to preserve what’s left of the law’s integrity. While I am on your side in this fight, I fear the reality is that the Law has been contaminated, not just by political opponents, but by everyone who sees the law as a weapon of selfish advantage rather than a resource for fairness and order. Lawfare is now the normal strategy for those who would seek power and social leverage at the expense of civil disruption. I would that it was different, but I believe that ship has sailed. I don’t know a reasonable way to close Pandora’s box. A quick glance at human history tells me that when the law becomes corrupted, cultural norms and civil societies are replaced by new paradigms. Our natures are humanity’s worst enemy. There is a reason why justice is one aspect of God’s nature. The world is not a fit place without it.
What I am advocating for is complete integrity. There is nothing wrong with looking at someone’s records to see if they have broken the law, because you can bet that no one on their side is going to hold them accountable. If we don’t do this, they will not be stopped. Stopping them IS acting with integrity.
TT, I am not critical of your approach. I am pointing out that you are using Lawfare to fight Lawfare. Lawfare is where legal theory has devolved. I don’t see your approach to be mirroring those who set the precedent. It is now the way such legal things are done. As I said, the law has been contaminated and I do not know how to save the patient. If you don’t use the same tactics you will certainly lose. If you do use the same tactics you may slow the pace of decline but, in my opinion, will ultimately lose. It is a true Hobson’s choice.

I disagree with taking bogus legal action to cause problems for someone. That is what the Left has done to Trump, the lawyers who defend him, and others.
I don’t consider taking legal action against someone who has committed fraud or crime to be done merely for the purpose of causing problems for an opponent. I consider it to be the pursuit of justice that has been ignored throughout that person’s life and career.

I do not see it happening before the midterms. Until then extreme pressure and sound Constitutional reasoning needs to be pounded into Roberts’ head to overturn these political, illegitimate decisions of the lower courts. After achieving total political control, the GOP Congress then needs to proceed with dismantling the politicization of the judiciary permanently. Improve the definition of good behavior, require strict interpretation of Constitutional law based on original intent, PROVIDE STATED PENALTIES AGAINST JUDGES FOR ARBITRARY AND CAPRICIOUS OBSTRUCTION, and establish a dedicated IG office for investigations and prosecution of offenders. Result – no more politicization of the federal judiciary.
At that point impeachment of judges is no longer dependent upon a two thirds vote in Club Senate.

It becomes like the Left-Right paradigm, except in this case it’s a digging in because they can’t seem to bear to admit, even if only to themselves, that their idea was incorrect.
I only say that to point out that this is human nature in some cases. And in a field like science, for example, that would be a fatal blow against making progress and finding the truth.

I have close family members like this. It’s an ego thing. They need to be superior.

I’ve been trying to take some positive steps in that direction.
Giving up or cutting way back on my favorite snacks and sweets, eat more meat, fish, chicken, fresh fruit and vegetables.
The hardest part is giving up Diet Cokes and other carbonated beverages, even club soda and quinine tonic water, all of which make me want to eat sweets, chips, etc.
Part of it is that I’m tired of hauling them home from the store (they are heavy) and then disposing of all the plastic bottles. I’m going with coffee, tea, and water, sometimes adding a lemon or orange slice.

FWIW, I drink tea mostly. I found cream (or milk) will get rid of the bitter taste and I can then skip the sugar. This works even in ice tea. Upgrading to a better tea also helps.
Since I can not eat much salt, that wipes most UPFs off the menu…. Except CHOCOLATE.

Never get hungry or I’ll turn into a ravenous bear and clean out a 7-11 🤣, that means I have to have more food at mealtimes, plus always be prepared with a healthy snack alternative (like olives and nuts when I really want chips).
Have plenty of visuals around to keep my motivation and interest engaged (for me that’s beautiful food photos and recipes on Pinterest and my old forks over knives magazines).
My kryptonite is Diet Mtn Dew and Hershey bars. Currently I am making “ginger ale” and that’s helping. But I just love DMD.

FIVE: The “new FDA”, led by Dr. Martin Makary and in conjunction with FDA-CBER Director Dr. Vinay Prasad, is STILL “recommending” that all pregnant women, AND women who have recently given birth, be COVID-19 “vaccinated.” This is because, under the “new rubric of high risk for complications from COVID-19 infection” that was published by the two above doctors in the New England Journal of Medicine in May 2025, pregnancy and after giving birth are considered to be “high risk categories” that “need” women to have COVID-19 “vaccination.”
What is going to wake people up to this disaster? Why is the FDA still “recommending” COVID-19 “vaccination” for anyone, let alone pregnant women and women who have recently given birth? When are people going to wake up and realize that any medical professional who still “recommends” COVID-19 “vaccination”, let alone is still administering these injections, is violating the Hippocratic Oath they took?

This “Grok says” thing is really pissing me off.
There’s the “Grok, (ask a question) post a book about the subject” type of post. There was a couple of those yesterday.
Then there’s the “Grok says it’s fake” kind of post, when some research can prove it isn’t fake. That kind is on the board this morning.
People, I don’t come here to read Grok. I can ask AI questions myself. I don’t usually, because I still have to do the research to prove or disprove whatever the thing tells me. I think AI is making us all lazy thinkers, and worse researchers.
I don’t always understand “how” it works, or “why” it is, but I understand that Grok ALWAYS has an agenda. That is demonstrated when it LIES. And it does. See my post today, when all I did was go find a thing Grok claims doesn’t exist.
We all need to wake the fuck up to this reality before Grok makes us all stupid.

I dated a guy who was THERE. The reason for the protest was the town’s law removing the voting rights of students. This was when the age to vote was 21 so you are mainly talking VIETNAM VETS ON THE GI BILL.
In my friend’s case he was in his mid twenties, married with 2 kids. He was NOT living with Mommy & Daddy in the summer so his permanent residence was that town. His wife, working in the town, COULD VOTE but HE COULD NOT.
Students, many of them Vets or married to vets, were rightly PISSED however shooting VIETNAM VETS protesting the removal of their voting right was a VERY BAD LOOK so the truth was buried deep.

I’m not saying here that TinEye reverse image search is thorough and totally up to date (it is not), but if you use TinEye to search for the Trump meme that is in question here, TinEye shows that the meme was first shown on 29 Aug, 2024. You’ll also see that the meme is shown on several other sites, almost all Lib sites, and then is used to bash Trump.

TinEye is very useful! I use it for image chronologies, too. It’s not 100% accurate, because I have used it for cases where I know some early history of an image, and it is just plain wrong, missing the occurrence, but it is more often right than wrong, IMO.
I agree with everything you are saying, and with GA/FL’s comment about fakery AI replacing real art, photos & videos.
The problem I see – at least because I’m a real “research it myself” person – is AI is already overtaking what I used to consider viable sources. I cannot go into any library now and find decent current hard-copy sources; if the only alternative is internet searches, and we know how easily “facts” are changed and info deleted/edited”, WHERE ARE WE GOING FOR CREDIBLE RESEARCH?? How do we know that research sites haven’t AI’d their publications/info unless they visibly/readily disclose AI as a source?
Look how quickly they changed the definition of ‘vaccine’. That’s only one example.

I use my own memory first. If I remember it, that’s what I start with.
Second, I go to my own previous written material. If I commented on it before, I go looking for what I said at the time.
Third. Collect and SAVE on a hard drive information that you deem vital and important. Also, if it is REALLY, REALLY vital, print a copy and file it.
Fourth. Read information you find online extensively, look for contradictions in the information, and use your own brain to assess it. Does it make sense to you? If it doesn’t, keep looking.
Fifth. Look at hard cover books copyright page. If the book was printed in 1920, you’re probably ok!
Sixth. If you are unsure information is accurate, just say so when you share it. Maybe I’ll remember something. Maybe Wolf or Gail or somebody else will.

This appears to be a face saving measure by Trump. It still has to be verified by India and so far they have not responded to Trump’s claim.
Currently Modi is not backing off from buying oil from Russia at this time and will work through the 50% penalty for buying the Russian oil, which is what this is about. Because Modi hasn’t blinked, is the likely reason for Trump to make this claim for public consumption here at home. Whether India allows zero tariffs or not makes little difference as Trump points out they don’t buy much from the US anyways.

True. Meanwhile one of the major purposes of Tariff’s is for a country to protect and build it’s own manufacturing base so as to be competitive and self reliant and not always be dependent on the mercy of other predatory foreign forces.
Trump operated thusly during his first term when he raised tariffs on countries trying to flood our markets with steel. Doing this incentivized our steel factories making our steel producers profitable.
Anyway, too many of these countries have been way over the top with their protective tariffs. Trump is right about putting a stop to it, but then there’s the part about making them pay to sell here. One might think that establishing a fair playing field for everyone to trade on would be enough. But instead we are apply an average 19% tariff rate for anyone wanting to do business here. Well, we’ve lost a lot money in the past and clawing some of that back may be a good thing. Question is, for how long. Eventually other countries are going to see us as the 4% of the worlds population that we are and will eventually look for ways to skirt our tariff’s even if it means doing less business here. It’s almost or is, fuel/incentive for BRICs to grow stronger. In the meantime Trump wants our manufacturing base back and this is a way to do that. It seems logical but at some point balance will have to be restored or the angst against us will grow and the harmony will go.

Sometimes you just have to beat Grok about the ears to get a proper response. Knowing about the subject before hand is almost a must in evaluating Grok’s response.
Had I tried to research that first question by myself I’d be spending an hour evaluating links offered up by web services that themselves don’t want to give you direct answer. Grok when doing it’s job the way intended shortens that hour down to a two minutes tops. After which you evaluate the answer and if it seems odd, you open the links it provided in formulating the answer.
One time I had to go through four lengthy responses till we arrived at a proper answer. Simple question, how many Palestinians in Israel. Grok wanted to say 2 million plus. Wrong answer.. eventually we settled on 7 million Palestinians and 7 Million Israeli’s. The first time Grok did not want to count those in Gaza, giving an answer for just the West Bank. Then Grok left out the ones outside of the West Bank and Gaza. Truthfully the Israeli’s themselves don’t want you calling those out side of the West Bank and Gaza, “Palestinians” and want you to use the term Arabs. I tend to agree with you. I took a peek at info on data centers here in the US..so much has been happening behind the curtain that I had no idea. ‘They’ created a monster presented as a helpful tool that in reality is taking over all the cyber conveniences that people are literally addicted to now.
From what I read it’s presented in a way that has all health systems, govt, individual, etc dependent upon feeding the AI because AI “protects” and stores all this vital info. That comes at a heavy suck of resources that God provided for human use.

When I was in Ca recently I was sitting in the car waiting on grandson# 3 get something at starbucks. It was an extraoridinarily long wait. The area was one of these 15 min citiy type things. Every thing included, grocery stores, eateries, target.
Here’s the weird thing. I already know it has a mixed income level housing. It’s what they do now BUT 99% of the people going in and out and into the adjacent businesses were of Asian descent. Notably within my eyesight were things tailored to people who want their kids to succeed. Study centers, ACT/SAT mentoring, art gallery.
Another set up near to my former condo (where my daughter&kids live) has crap stuff like a 7/11, gas station, the nearest grocery store is about 1/2 mile and the metro bus does a brisk business ferrying people back and forth.
There’s no real point about this story except that it’s weird and shows that these things are thought out catered to specific residents..

I am watching ‘Twister’ tonight. Just happened to be on. At this point of the movie, people are at a drive-in watching ‘The Shining’!!!!!!
I am in stitches!!!! Being a hotel/resort designer, ‘The Shining’ is one of my favorite worst movies!
The one scene that creeps me out in ‘The Shining’ is the double wide corridor with the twins facing the kid on the tricycle. This is the scene at the drive-in. Wonder why?
I spent decades taking 8 to 10 foot wide corridors out of many old hotels, narrowing them down to add the width into the rooms. Normally from 10′ to 5′ or 6′.
In other words. Reduce the corridor width, because the retail value was adding amenities into a room rather than having stupidly wide corridors that did not generate revenue. Add a shower, mini-bar, soaking bath to a room, and you can sell the room for more money.
And old hotels with really wide corridors really creep me out…because of ‘The Shining’ and the twins!!!!
I started work on the Concord Resort years ago. While I was at a walk-through, I picked up the business card of the Maitre’D on the restaurant floor. The card had probably been on the floor for years. Really creepy.

Nothing ever came to fruition with the design except a few creepy visits and schematic design. The owner never paid my firm. The owner was a tax and bill cheat.
But suffice it to say, this was one of the creepiest hotel projects I ever had to deal with!!!! All good times!
