As a country we went from corporations that were part of our community and viewed Americans as long term investments to transnational corporations who view Americans as replaceable cogs to be discarded as soon as they became ‘too expensive.’ During my Dad’s lifetime people worked for the same company all their life and retired with a pension. I watched the company I was planning to grow old with, a company with ZERO DEBT, get bought out in a hostile takeover, stripped and sold off piece meal. I even knew a guy in Boston, whose business was shipping the machinery from closed US factories in New England to Israel!

The kind of social engineering that even a weak student of history would know better than attempt. Even if everything about the Common Core was actually about academic content. Which it most decidedly is not.

The Hitler Youth, that you refer to, in pictures, started out as a Green Movement. Members of the Hitler Youth wore green shirts, and were sometimes referred to as Greenshirts.

As somebody who reads all these reports coming out of the UN and Club of Rome and what Ehrlich says he intends to do etc, the books and reports read like satire and bad fiction. Which they are except intentions coupled to political power and taxpayer financing have actual real effects.
I suspect the early 90s writers were looking at things like the World Order Models Project and the 1972 Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment and then the hype around Limits to Growth and then the 87 Brundtland Report and realizing this is all an excuse for unquestioned power. AND being the paymaster for all that redistribution.

We need actual data.

We’re dog people around here but pretty much always medium to larger breeds. Our first was a German Shepherd & our current one looks so much like her that we often call her Shanna even though S has been gone for like 2 decades. Jules is a half Husky. Formerly we had a Black Lab mix & also a Great Dane & Shepherd mix. Our females who both had/have golden bodies, white bellies, & black muzzles, have the best demeanors in our experience 🙂
I went with the little Westies because I met one (called CheckMate) who was excellent with little children. Also, I did not think I would be abe to pick up a larger dog though I know they are good dogs too.
I’m afraid I’d accidentally step on & kill or injure a little one 🙁
Much prefer a large dog. As a kid we had one that weighed 120 lbs at 9 months. Our next dog was a Newfoundland — Russian wolfhound cross.

Basically, what Trump did was threaten to kick out half of China’s spies and provocateurs in America, by kicking out all of their students. He likely did that to strong-arm Xi. Xi lied and said he’d cooperate on things, so Trump withdrew the threat. Trump knows Xi is lying, but he sees a winning angle. In the end, Trump raised tariffs on China by an amount that China was willing to live with, and everybody at the top is happy.
Trump was also doing this to make the universities behave on DEI, attacks on Jewish students, protests by radical Muslims and Pal-Pals, etc.
Research in America basically can’t happen without Chinese students, even though they are often professional slackers, thieves, and underminers. Sad, but true. Universities backed down on all the other stuff, because they knew Trump could destroy them by evicting all the Chinese students.
People who argue that Chinese students are a tiny percentage of all students are CORRECT. Yet note that the people who say that American research would be harmed without Chinese students are also CORRECT.
What does that mean? It means that Chinese students worm their way into the positions of highest impact, money, influence, and control. They’re not alone – other countries do it, too.
Academia is and always was a shark-tank, before DEI messed it up even more by playing with the ecosystem.
Trust Trump. It was a negotiating tactic, but he cannot say it was.
There is also a good reason (maybe several) to do what he is doing, that I cannot talk about.

Yes. It is. Watching it all from the inside was very painful and ugly.
Canning DEI may have some initial advantage for the ChiCom plants, because meritocracy will favor them initially, but once whites, and especially white male geeks, are no longer giving up on academic scholarships, there should be a return to normalcy. I think that’s where Trump is headed.
Our Colleges and Universities need a major revamping too. The quality of education has taken a major nose dive in the last 50 years.

For Trump to help American students at American universities, he literally cannot talk about how he’s going to do it, without alerting the ChiComs and making it fail. The ChiComs will sabotage any plan in that regard by shifting their tactics. I’ve watched their infiltration and control of academia, and it’s nasty. The ChiCom hidden alliance with white left on campus has to be broken up first, and Trump is doing that. The fall of DEI is a massive blow to the Maoists, and Trump is leveraging that very hard.
Everybody sees DEI as a problem of “the Jooz” – they don’t see the ChiCom hand in it, but that is very real.
IMO Trump is very aware of the problem of ChiCom “students” on campus, but he’s playing chess with Xi on this, and he’s not going to tell the audience exactly what he’s doing.
One MAGA guy had a very smart take on this. He says that the more we object on this, the more we give Trump a stronger hand in dealing with Xi. So YEAH – all the ChiCom troublemakers need to go. But blame Xi and the CCP, not Trump.

They kept us too busy earning a living to pay attention. Also the Media that was SUPPOSED to be the watchdog was working for the Cartel.
I am afraid that things are going to get a lot worse before they get better so we need the information to inform others as to what is really going on.
I’m pretty sure we had the Dick and Jane books in my elementary school. “See Spot run!” But I guess we were also taught phonics.
I know there was a time when Josiah’s elementary special ed class was doing “sight words” which made ZERO sense to me as kids with challenges have enough academic struggles without teaching them how to Actually Read rather than memorize the “look” of a word–Marxist insanity!
I had an extremely eye-opening experience in the reading domain with him too. Josiah had a small homework assignment in the early elementary years. There was one 8 1/2 x 11″ sheet of paper with three images in boxes. Each image had 2-3 lines of Very Large Font text, I think a sentence each, that needed to be read.
Josiah threw himself on the floor screaming & crying for like an hour refusing to do this homework & claiming that he couldn’t. He said he couldn’t read. Out of sheer frustration I took blank papers & covered up all but One Line of text to see if he could focus on that. Well he was suddenly able to read the whole sheet in like one or two minutes–Wow. This experience led to the teacher or para-pro creating a “window” in a piece of paper or possibly cardboard with clear plastic over the opening. Whenever Josiah had to read something he was to slide this clear window along to block out extraneous info. He was reading on grade level (though not comprehending to the same extent) shortly thereafter…
He had also extreme visual processing challenges, as one of his many academic hurdles. In fact I had no idea that he even had some strange type of double vision, “V-Pattern Esotropia” iirc that he only inadvertently revealed to me after graduating HS. We were sitting on the couch together watching the show “House” & he was leaning forward awkwardly & seeming to look practically through his eyebrows. I asked him why he was doing that for he did complain of backpain sometimes but he was so quirky in Many Ways it was seemingly just yet another Josiah-ism. Anyway he replied “Because sometimes I see two Wilsons!”
I was absolutely floored having no idea that he had dealt with some strange form of double vision throughout his schooling & Never Once mentioned it! We got him evaluated & they actually performed surgery on his eyes to (at least partially) correct this issue. The doctor/surgeon refused to order up a form of visual processing therapy that had been recommended by the special needs doc for the surgeon “didn’t believe in it” though he allowed an evaluation for that therapy to be performed, which of course revealed that Josiah would have benefitted from some of that visual processing training…sigh…
Also basically none of my kids were taught much in the way of cursive. They, along with many/most of their generation, can barely read cursive let alone write it, Beyond their signatures. Probably another form of deliberately dumbing the kids down. Most of their generation would be nearly incapable of deciphering the scanned images of our early founders’ writings. Almost seems by design/s Deliberate “serf collaring” abounds! 😡
wow…in your “spare” time, you should write this down to maybe benefit other parents!! Things to looks for…ways to combat it.

Sometimes it’s hard for me to look too closely at some of those experiences as it all becomes quite overwhelming. Special needs kids are quite unique in their quirkiness. I used to occasionally read special needs parents online publications & often see parallels to some of what we faced. I honestly don’t know if there is a comprehensive way to assess & address the many actual needs that exist. Josiah had “femoral anteversion” that was only “discovered” when we were playing softball at the Cottage & we had him attempt to stand with his feet together & his legs basically made an “X”. He was a teen at this time & had been followed by his special needs doctor who was a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation doctor by training & she & all the other doctors’ assessments of Josiah’s status never revealed that structural abnormality! 🙄
I was told years ago by a hospital chaplain that I have a form of “complex PTSD” & could benefit from “trauma based (or informed) therapy”…she had worked with many families in the hospital, including those dealing with terminal pediatric illnesses, & she provided me with a form of “comfort” to know that where I was at was relatively “normal” (something rarely said about me) for having faced the magnitude of issues we’d tackled primarily with Josiah.
I tried to look that PTSD in the face a few ways & wrote about some of it on my main blog. One time I did a marathon post reading through a series PTSD articles from the special needs parents perspective & addressed whatever came up in me, including associated memories, in the crafting of that piece. I was completely numb by the time I could click “post” & walk away from it “all”…for a while 🙂 Here’s that “project” fwiw:

None of my kids had cells while children. We gave our oldest son a trac phone & like a month’s worth of pre-paid minutes for either his 17th or 18th B-day (he was a college freshman at 17) & we told him if he wanted any more minutes he’d have to work for them & buy them himself. All the other kids got their own phones eventually, as adults. Until my mom died & I inherited her cell I was the only one of the “original six” (Red Wings allusion for our 100th anniversary!) who was cell-free. As it is I barely use the thing except when I’m out of town or in a medical situation & providing updates on family members’ situations 🙂

That was one of many battles that I lost trying to force the system to do its legally mandated job. I kind of doubt the regular kids were getting taught cursive by then, even if it was still “required” so there was No Way those “educators” were going to inconvenience themselves & try to teach it to my special needs son. J’s “signature” looks like maybe a third grader wrote it…sigh…

A public Deed of Trust for Swalwell’s DC home at 209 S Street NE, dated April 18, 2022, confirms the property is designated as his “principal residence” as a condition of the loan.
The deed includes explicit language making the borrower liable for false or misleading statements regarding occupancy.
“Borrower shall be in default if… Borrower gave materially false, misleading, or inaccurate information or statements to Lender… Material representations include Borrower’s occupancy of the Property as Borrower’s principal residence.”

Under Article I, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution, members of Congress must be “inhabitants” of the state they represent at the time of their election.
In California, maintaining this inhabitancy means holding tangible, verifiable ties to the state, such as owning or renting a residence, registering to vote, paying state income taxes, and possessing a California driver’s license.
California Elections Code 349 goes even further. A domicile is defined as “the place in which his or her habitation is fixed” and “the place where a person intends to return and remain.”
If Swalwell’s true domicile is in Washington, DC, the city where he has declared his principal residence, he may no longer meet the basic requirement of being a California “inhabitant.”
Public records searches have not revealed any home ownership or lease under Eric Swalwell’s name in California.
The address most often associated with his background in Livermore, 320 Michell Court, is only a three-bedroom, 1,350 square feet home that belongs to the Mrzywka family who has lived there continuously since 2008, making it highly unlikely that Swalwell resides there today.
Failure to maintain a legitimate residence in California could expose Swalwell to legal, ethical, and electoral repercussions. A false declaration of residency risks tax violations, misrepresentation to lenders, and challenges to his eligibility for re-election.
Politically, the revelation of a Washington DC “principal residence” undermines Swalwell’s credibility and fuels accusations of hypocrisy, especially since Swalwell rose to power by attacking his predecessor Pete Stark for being “out of touch” with the district due to Stark’s residency outside California.
During the 2012 campaign, Swalwell’s mailers mocked Stark as “missing” from his constituents. Now, Swalwell himself may be the one who’s gone completely missing from the state he’s supposed to represent.
Swalwell’s inability to maintain a California home may stem from personal financial mismanagement. His 2025 Financial Disclosure Report paints a bleak picture.
Despite earning $174,000 per year for 13 years in the US Congress, Swalwell has failed to pay down his student loans, remains mired in credit card debt, and has even cashed out his pension.

I saw the cardio doc today my heart function went from 10% to 22 in three months. My leaky gushing heart artery has almost stopped.
He will see me again in 3 months have to wear a heart monitor for two weeks and take another electro cardio before my next appointment.
I also saw my family doc last week I was low on vitamin D typical for me and increase the vitamin. My thyroid is healing itself that is crazy and he cut my thyroid meds to 75.

I don’t want those people in my society or my country, but we can’t deport those who are citizens. I don’t want to be around them. They’re feral, and it’s sickening. And some in positions of power have the same mindset of entitled thievery. They embezzle money and steal from government programs to enrich themselves, plus they steal votes. The owners of those businesses have to clean up that mess and eat those losses.

They’re wondering how to address the issue. Besides the obvious problems of authorities being soft on crime and not handing out jail sentences, visible, armed security guards should be a nice deterrent. But I don’t think *they* really want to solve the problem.

Especially if cops were allowed to intentionally wound suspects. Not every cop is an average shot. Allowing earlier, intentional, non-lethal shots could solve a LOT of problems. Cops used to have that discretion and flexibility.
I would think that just having someone point a gun at them might deter them, but if not, or if they think their numbers would overcome the gun holder, then I would be in favor of progressing to nonlethal shots.

I have to say, despite the drawbacks inherent in a pre-Vatican II Roman Catholic grade school education (going to Mass almost every day, the old Baltimore Catechism recitations, etc)—there was also a great deal of solid learning in the curriculum.
And the nuns didn’t put up with nonsense of any kind from us children.
