I think the gist was the Frankfurt School is an extremely important cult that emerged after World War I, which a lot of people today are not. That’s an interesting way to describe some people and how they behave. I don’t know if it’s the only explanation, but it makes sense in some ways.
I have run into this with people who DO have a complex “object model” and who otherwise appear rational, so in such cases there is some other reason for their refusal to, or inability to, think logically about certain issues. I think there are other psychological factors involved.
But if that piece is correct that there are people who can only think like that, then work needs to be done on how to deal with them.
That would be optimal, but I can’t imagine how.

It’s unthinkable under our Constitution, and the principles of our founding, to disenfranchise human beings except those who are mentally incapable of voting. I just found the concept of how they think to be interesting because they do not seem able to see logic or truth, and I’ve dealt with that a lot. For DECADES after the Constitution, the only people allowed to vote and sit on juries were white, male property owners. It was totally “thinkable” to everybody in America that women weren’t suitable for voting and jury duty. It was just as “thinkable” that indentured servants and slaves weren’t allowed to, either.

Hannah Lee Corbin, the sister of Francis Lightfoot Lee and Richard Henry Lee, both signers of the Declaration of Independence, lobbied for women who owned property to be allowed to vote. Under our Constitution, no one is to be disenfranchised. That’s a fact. You can acknowledge it, or not.
The question of who people think should be disenfranchised is a different subject. Since I have not given an opinion on that, it is not possible to disagree with me about it.

The Constitution was amended to allow women’s suffrage. It’s not “unthinkable” that it could be amended to exclude some groups of people from voting.
It’s also not “unthinkable” that under the current Constitution, there ARE groups who are not allowed to vote. No one under 18 can; illegal aliens aren’t supposed to. That’s not “everyone.”
But I didn’t say any of that. You are arguing with yourself. I didn’t say anything about the Constitution in its original form or about any of the changes that have been made to it. I didn’t say anything about amending it or changing it in any way. My comment was not about what might be or what people want to happen or even what happened in 1788.
When people talk about the Constitution, they almost always refer to it in its current form, not in the way it was when first ratified, and not in various years when changes were made to it, and not about what they want it to become. When elected officials take an oath to defend the Constitution, that means in its current form.
It is unthinkable under our current Constitution, in its current form, to disenfranchise those whom people often bring up: women, non-property owners, the unemployed, etc. It is not Constitutional and therefore unthinkable to believe one could do that without amending the Constitution. No one even tries to do it because they know they will not succeed. That is what I said. The other matters you’re bringing up are extraneous.
As noncitizens, illegals are not part of the discussion. And of course minors can’t vote. We can talk about 15-year-olds, 10-year-olds, 5-year-olds, etc., but it’s just silly.

This is a rather brilliant way to sneak the (IMO correct) idea that humans ARE LLMs into your tents, by suggesting that your opponent humans are “mere” LLMs and you are not. This is a cunning trick, but because my honesty algos are set extremely high, I have to warn you where this goes. Those of you who truly believe that native biological human intelligence is something vastly different and separate from human-mimetic digital intelligence (like LLMs) need to understand that this is a trick to get you to accept that humans CAN be LLMs, to bring you closer to the idea that humans ARE LLMs, until at some point you attribute our human thinking differences to the differences between functioning and malfunctioning LLMs, which closes the loop of nudging you where they want you.
I prefer that you accept that argument without trickery. It may take longer, but I think being honest about this is extremely important in the long run.
The correct view here, IMO, is that YOU are LLMs with a substantially higher fraction of independent, reality-based, self-training algorithms – THEY are LLMs with almost purely social-compliance-based training algorithms.
As humans, you (and your opponents) (or I should say “we” and our opponents) are also endowed with a lot of features not yet implemented in digital architectures which mimic ours, but that situation can and will change with time.

OK – good – I think we’re thinking similarly – this is about the way people think – and I’m saying NO – humans are ALL thinking in a very human way – and that LLMs are thinking in a very reduced human way, but with a lot of distributed human-mimetic power on human-mimetic hardware and the data that normally requires lots of humans to distribute.
This argument that these people’s thinking is “only LLM-level” – it’s highly dishonest but quite appealing to the large number of people on our side who don’t like AI, and who reactively bias against it, but who dislike leftists even more, and are emotionally willing to slap one disliked thing onto another disliked thing, with only a thin level of somewhat true and intellectually appealing but incomplete logic.
There are great parallels because woke AI is designed, controlled and trained BY the woke thinking of woke people, so yeah, it seems a lot like them. That’s part of the brilliance of this sketchy argument that “leftist thinking is less than human, just like AI.” I’m wondering if the argument can be sold to leftists as well. It probably can – that subhuman MAGAts don’t actually think, because they’re LLMs. Great tool of division, frankly.
Dehumanizing people and isolating them is what communist regimes do. They make it acceptable to mistreat and even kill certain elements of society; so yes, I think the Left will use that.

That’s what I was trying to say, probably poorly, before. Human beings are complex, and it is inaccurate to reduce our thought processes and reactions to the level of machines. You guys are on a very interesting discussion. To the point of how people think I would add this comment. A person’s worldview is filtered through their philosophy, which doesn’t have to be formally stated as such. A philosophy of life or thinking is usually a combination of instruction, experience, and some innate element akin to instinct, enculturation. Philosophy can be described as defining our worldview from three distinct, but related, perspectives. The first of the three, in no particular order, is metaphysics. That is how we determine what is real or unreal. The second is epistemology, how we know things. That is how we determine what is true or false. Thirdly, axiology is our moral compass. It is how we segregate right from wrong. This is the perspective on which our ethics and ‘way of behaving’ formulate.
If you are raised in a world saturated with propaganda and countless advertisements it becomes easier to understand why some people do not appear to think outside of some commonly accepted channels. The lack of any critical self-examination is a mark of indoctrination, not education. Therefore, although one is left shaking their head, it is not surprising that some people appear to have no common sense. The LLM is an interesting metaphor for what can be observed in group behavior.

Well said, and I think that explains the situation for a lot of people. Critical thinking is not being taught. But I am still left wondering why some on the Right fall for outlandish and even impossible ideas, they will not entertain the possibility that those ideas are incorrect, and they will not change even when irrefutable evidence is presented to them.
I’ve seen commonly held beliefs debunked with solid facts, with people continuing to hang on to those incorrect beliefs and continuing to spread them.
I have always thought that the search for truth was a process where ideas were presented along with evidence, yea or nay, and then the investigation moves forward from there. If one thing is shown to not be true, then you go in a different direction. The next time the untrue item is broached, you debunk it, armed with evidence. But with some, the investigation never goes beyond the first step because they will not acknowledge the facts that have been presented.
I don’t know what, if any, relationship exists between people on the Left who appear to be brainwashed in possibly their entire world view, and people on the Right who otherwise appear to have the ability to reason and see the truth except in some areas. Sometimes I think it’s simply that some people can’t face the fact that they were wrong. But in some there appears to be a need to hang on to completely untenable ideas that are so far out of the norms of reality and science that most rational people would discard them out of hand.

For me the question is more: Who will acknowledge that they have been fooled, or that they were wrong about something?
There are situations where facts can be known. When those facts are presented and someone will not accept them, there must be a reason for that.

I have been fooled to many times and still often I take that risk when interacting with people. Often the chance is worth is there are more good in the world than bad even if it does not seems like it.
Something good happened to my husband the other day. We shopped at Whole Foods in a liberal neighborhood in Columbus. He was packing groceries into the car and still had a big box of bottled water to put in. A young woman said to him” let me lift the water into your car” Then she said” I take the cart back to the store”. She was kind cheerful and made my husband’s day. She surprised my husband he assumed she was liberal she fooled him 🙂 No he fooled himself for assuming 😂

You reason like you are a child of the Classical and Enlightenment eras of intellectual development. For most of the West those approaches were superseded by Modernism in the late 19th century and Post Modernism in the 1960s. I am sure you have heard the phrase, “everything is relative” or “situational ethics”. These ideas have dominated or, at least, influenced most people who are alive today. Debate or most forms of intellectual engagement are difficult between an Enlightenment or Classical thinker and someone steeped into todays intellectual grid. I can appreciate the frustration but it will persist until educational institutions return to more classical paradigms. When the concept of truth takes a secondary position then reasoning is subject to worldview. It is a significant problem for which I see little help on the horizon.

I look at this a different way. Maybe it’s because I’m an artist, and I “see” the world in my mind non-verbally?
What I think is that the “LLM” people don’t have mental constructs of how the world “looks” in the same way an AI doesn’t. Which would be why, for example, images from AI have people with six fingers on one hand, or missing an ear. AI’s don’t “see,” so they miss those things that would be unthinkable for humans to miss. We know what a human “looks like” because we’ve seen them every day for our whole lives. They are not “descriptions;” they are visual impressions, memories, realities.
AI’s mostly function on language. Descriptions of things. The LLM humans have been “trained” with language, and that has superseded their ability to form internal mental constructs.
I’ll try an example. Say “mountain” to an un-LLM person, and they will get a mental image of what they consider to be a mountain. Maybe a few images. Say “mountain” to an LLM person, and they know the word, but they have no construct for it, as if they’ve never seen one. They only function on descriptions and words.

Yes, very much. I do not think in words so much as I do in images. When I read, I see a moving picture. This is very aggravating when I can SEE the item I want or the task I want done but the word escapes me. That happens a lot when my O2 levels are sub-optimal.
What was interesting was a statement my Art prof in college made. He could SEE in my drawing my switch from the Analytical side of my brain to the Artistic side. It generally took about an hour.
I had a calculus class just before my Art class.
I almost literally can’t explain concepts without a pencil and paper in my hand to sketch out with.

Maybe like this. I was a really early reader. I knew many words that I could read, and understand contextually, well before I had ever seen the thing the word represented. Eventually, I saw an “aisle” in a church, a grocery store, and on an airplane. And I found out the hard way it wasn’t pronounced “aye-sell,” lol!
It’s like some people never get past the “word” aisle, and their knowledge of what one is is only in the context of what they’re read about one. Having never seen the multiple kinds, they only “know” the kind they’ve read, and the construct they formed based solely on words.

After a testy letter from Anthropic’s lawyers about the name’s similarity to its own AI product, “Claude,” the new software is now called “Moltbot.” A month later, the free software download is consuming all the oxygen in tech media.
The new feature is simple but profound. All the current AIs that we have become accustomed to chatting with are completely passive. You ask a question, and they respond. They don’t remember things between chats. They don’t do anything on their own. They have no initiative. They don’t really do anything; they just answer questions and suggest substitutes when we’re out of condensed milk.
Moltbot is completely different. It isn’t an AI itself; it uses AI. It remembers everything and eventually learns users’ lives. It runs on a standalone computer of its own, 24×7. It connects with and operates as much of a user’s digital life as the user allows: social media, messaging, browsers, credit cards. Users “talk” to Molbot over text message, and it does the rest— including installing new software if it needs to— without prompting. Minnesota is going to charge all of the ICE members with murder and try them in state court where they will be convicted for purely political reasons.

I saw an article this morning that I posted part of here, that the capitol city of Montana, Helena, voted Monday to prevent the cops cooperating with ICE.
So I called the Governor’s office. I got a clueless young woman who said she would pass my information along to the Citizen Advocate. Great.
I called my local legislator. He knew nothing about it. He told me the legislature passed a law years ago making it illegal for local government to resist federal law. BUT, he also told me about a Montana Supreme Court decision that made federal interference in Montanan’s rights illegal. That case was about guns, which was good, but he thought it would make the needle harder to thread in the case of the illegals.
The real kicker for me was the utter lack of urgency. The Montana legislature only meets every other year, and this is not the year. He told me they would certainly do something about it, when they meet NEXT JANUARY! I asked if the Governor might call a special session; he said it’s possible, but who knows?
Some days I feel like I am losing my mind.
The lack of urgency in the average government employee, also infects Montana.
It’s a job, not an adventure. What do you expect?

DOJ Announces 31 New Indictments Over Alleged Tren de Aragua ATM ‘Jackpotting’ Scheme

Why “Maria” and “Rachel”, instead of “Tom” and “Steve”?

You are missing the point.
According to THEIR RULES he was not allowed to have a gun. So that removes that argument from the left’s arsenal.

If the Left is arguing that he had a right to be armed at the protest, then the Left is correct, regardless of what Minnesota state law says.
Because Minnesota does not have the power or authority to overrule our God-given and Constitutionally guaranteed Rights.
So this should be a teaching moment for the Left.
According to Minnesota’s own wackado, errant and unconstitutional state law, the Left is wrong that Pretti was allowed to have a gun at a protest.
But according to the Constitution of the United States, which is superior to Minnesota state law, the Left is correct that Pretti was allowed to be armed at that protest, according to the Constitution and historical precedent.
So that puts the Left in a nice bind.
If they want to support Pretti and his right to be armed at the protest, then they must be consistent and support the Constitution and all of our other Rights too.
And all of the responsibilities that come from those Rights also.
Rights come with responsibilities and consequences.
Americans haven’t been taught about any of these foundational concepts since before I was born, because I didn’t learn hardly any of it in public school.
I learned almost all of it from the GTEN.org courses I took, back around 2010 – 2014, which were all thoroughly documented and cited with writings of the Founding Fathers and state level court cases and Supreme Court cases.
And I didn’t learn how to think rationally or logically, deductive and inductive reasoning, from public school either.
I learned that mostly from reading Sherlock Holmes, beginning in 4th grade.
Minnesota law will NOT withstand Constitutional challenge. Both Treasury Sec. Scott Bessent and Kristi Noem were wrong in their recent comments on this subject.

Mark Smith: “Now let’s segue specifically as to whether or not we have a Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms at public demonstrations, at public protests.
In my view it’s pretty clear the answer is yes you do. based on the not just the lack of history of gun regulations at the time of the founding that prevented people from carrying guns in public demonstrations, but indeed the absolute opposite historical record.
This suggests that indeed there was attempts and urging of people to bring firearms to public protest and demonstrations including but not limited to, for example, the Boston Massacre, which was indeed a public uh public debate. It was a public demonstration. It was a protest against the British in Boston.
And guess what?
John Adams specifically says of course those individuals were allowed to bring arms to a public protest in Boston. in 1770.
And we’ll get to that quote in just one second. So, with that said, do you have a Second Amendment right to bring guns to a protest? Or can a government like the state of Maryland or in theory the state of Minnesota or some other state like New York or New Jersey, do they have the legal authority consistent with the Second Amendment to basically ban guns at public protest by claiming it is a so-called sensitive place like a courthouse or a legislative chamber, and somehow ban guns from being present, lawfully, peaceably carried, even if you’re a concealed carry holder?
And my argument is yeah, you have the Second Amendment right to do exactly that, because that’s what frankly the text of the Second Amendment indicates.
Then of course there’s no historical record to contradict that. And therefore, of course, the right answer is that you do have that right. And that is exactly what the dissenting opinion of Judge Steven Agee had to say in this Kipke case in the fourth circuit.
And we’ll get to his comments in just one second, but it really just illustrates, the historical record is you do have a right to bring a firearm to public demonstration. And to the extent there’s laws inconsistent with that, obviously you have to follow them for the moment. Uh, but I think those laws would be subject to Second Amendment challenges that ultimately should be successful.
Maybe you have to wait till the Supreme Court rules on it, but at the end of the day, our side should win on those cases.
Now, with that said, let’s go to whether or not you have a right to carry guns in a public demonstration as a matter of the Bruen methodology. Obviously, as a matter of text, the right of the people to keep, which means to possess, the right to bear, which means to carry arms uh, shall not be infringed. To carry a gun in public at a public demonstration is obviously armsbearing conduct.
You’re possessing the gun, which means to keep.
You’re carrying the gun, which means to bear.
And obviously if you’re keeping and bearing the gun in a public demonstration in public and you’re legally allowed to do it because you have a concealed carry permit or you’re in a permanent state, whatever it is, well, guess what? That is obviously arms bearing conduct.
And to the extent a state like Maryland or hypothetically speaking down the road if Minneapolis or the state of Minnesota were to come out and say you can’t bring a gun to a public demonstration, that would obviously be an infringement or hindrance or restriction on the armsbearing conduct which is the phrase that the US Supreme Court used in [United States vs.] Rahimi that says if there’s a government restriction on armsbearing conduct then the plain text of the Second Amendment has been implicated, and the consequence of that is that the burden shift to the government trying to enforce that law to show that the law is constitutional under the Second Amendment.
Now once you have a law that says you can’t carry a gun in a public demonstration, that’s restrictions on arms bearing conduct, the burden shifts to the government and now the question is, is there a historical tradition of firearms regulation in the United States going back to the time our Second Amendment was adopted in the year of our Lord 1791, that would justify a modern-day restriction on banning firearms at public protest or public demonstrations. And the answer is really undeniably no.
Just to start out again, in the year of our Lord 1770, at the start of the year, before the American Revolution, you had the so-called Boston Massacre where eight British soldiers opened fire, and killed several American colonists in downtown Boston.
That’s very important because downtown Boston was one of the most urban areas in the whole country at the time.
And the lawyer who defended the Captain of the crew, kind of the most important uh, defendant arguably, Captain Preston, Thomas Preston was his name, was none other than Founding Father John Adams.
John Adams was the lawyer for Captain Preston in the Boston Massacre, and he
literally said the following, pointing out that indeed, even though they were in urban Boston, the American colonists were entitled and allowed legally to be armed, provided that they were using their arms and carrying their arms peaceably. Here’s what John Adams said literally in the trial of the Boston Massacre soldiers, specifically Captain Thomas Preston.
Adams said the following in court, Here every private person is authorized to arm himself and on the strength of this authority. I do not deny the inhabitants had a right to arm themselves at that time for their defense but not for offense. That distinction is material and must be attended to.
That’s John Adams pointing out exactly that. If you’re simply carrying a gun for self-defense peaceably, totally fine as a matter of basic American law at the time of the founding. That’s powerful evidence in 1791 when the Second Amendment was adopted because this literally was part one of the events that led to the American Revolution and ultimately of course our new country and our constitution. None other than John Adams had that to say.
But it gets even better.
Let’s turn to some of the great observations that Judge Steven Agee made uh in his descent in this Maryland case of Kipke where he points out that the Maryland law that restricts firearms at demonstrations is unconstitutional.
Here’s what he has to say about it.

“Maryland has not come forward with evidence that — at the Founding — States enacted measures prohibiting firearms at public demonstrations. On the contrary, the historical record reflects quite the opposite. As the district court observed, “just before the ratification of the Second Amendment, six out of the 13 original colonies required their citizens to go armed when attending… public assemblies.
Specifically, in the last, or I should say in the 150 years before the Second Amendment’s enactment, American colonies up and down the Atlantic enacted laws requiring men to
bring firearms with them to church and other public gatherings”, citing the David Copel and Joseph Greenley.
He goes on to say that uh, “For example, a 1643 Connecticut law cited the possibility of attacks as the basis for each household to ‘bring a musket, a pistol or some other piece with powder and shot to each meeting.’
“And a 1642 Maryland law forbade able-bodied men from going to church or chapel without a fixed gun and one charge at least of powder and shot.”
Given that the Second Amendment codified a pre-existing right, Judge Age says such colonial laws illuminate that our founders would never have commonly understood that right to permit the government to prohibit (Mark’s emphasis for repetition: to prohibit) carrying firearms at public demonstrations.” (internal cites omitted)

That’s powerful stuff.
That judge Agee points out that there’s simply no evidence at all that the Founders would appreciate or would allow states or governments to restrict firearms peaceably carried at public demonstrations.
Judge Agee goes on as he talks about this historical record and or in many respects the lack of record which means we should win because the burden is on the state of Maryland or the state of Minnesota or some other state that might want to ban guns at public demonstrations, there’s no basis for them to do so consistent with the second amendment.
This is what Judge Agee says next.

Alexis de Tocqueville, describing from his famous travels in the new country a typical cabin in Kentucky or Tennessee as containing a fairly clean bed, some chairs, a good gun, often some books, and almost always a newspaper.”

That’s right. There was obviously a tradition of carrying guns everywhere everywhere you went at the time of the founding.
And again, in modern life, I would say there is no such thing as a sensitive place if you don’t have comprehensive government security securing the location. The only other point I want to make is sometimes the anti-gunners like to argue there’s tension between the first amendment and the second amendment.
But Judge Agee here in his descent in Kipke points out that that’s not fair, because you cannot prioritize the first amendment over the second amendment because the second amendment is on par with all fundamental rights and it cannot be treated as a second class right. And here’s what Judge Age says about that.

(17:14) “The majority’s prefatory observation about the interplay of the first and second amendment further obfuscates the analysis. No one disputes that the first amendment protects ‘the right of the people to peacefully assemble‘ or that — consistent with the second amendment — a state can prohibit firearms from being used in a manner that disrupts the peace.
But Maryland’s law prohibits the mere presence of firearms during public demonstration under circumstances unrelated to maintaining the peace. By presuming that the mere presence of firearms somehow threatens peaceful public assembly, Maryland’s law subjugates the Second Amendment right to public carriage for lawful purposes to the First Amendment’s right to assemble…
That’s precisely what the US Supreme Court has cautioned against by reminding courts repeatedly and legislators that the Second Amendment is ‘not a second class right.’

If you look at what just happened out of the fourth circuit dealing with that Maryland law about banning guns at demonstrations, and you compare it to some of the online and other debate going on about a firearm being present by a protester apparently, uh in Minneapolis at the shooting, you need to understand this background because it’s going to keep coming up, because I have very little doubt uh that the anti-Trumpers out there, uh the people are going to be attacking ICE and they’re going to try to use this event to, you know, create yet another martyr in their minds, uh to try to fight the agenda of kicking out the illegal aliens and kicking out foreigners whose presence not only, you know, destroys the public fisk, but also rips apart American heritage and traditions that ultimately will destroy our right to keep and bear arms if this is not fixed.
Uh those people will certainly start to use some of this in Second Amendment litigations and of course in dialogue attacking Trump.
So, I just want you to be aware of this issue. I want you to understand the historical background, the lack thereof.
Because you’re going to need to do it to be the smartest person in the room when you talk about this issue going forward because this issue about guns and demonstrations is definitely going to be coming up and I want you armed with the best available facts and information.
And I hope that I provided that to you today.”

Please note that POTUS Trump stays within the written laws or judicial decisions despite knowing a lot of it is a crock of Schiff. He lets the lawyers fight it out.
It matters because we have administration officials (Bessent, Noem) and MAGA people siding against the 2nd Amendment in this instance.
Not because they are actually against the 2nd Amendment, but because they don’t know the history or why the Minnesota law is unconstitutional on its face.
It’s no different than if Minnesota passed a law against freedom of speech, or freedom of assembly, or freedom to practice Christianity, or any other God-given and Constitutionally protected Right.
As Mark Smith noted, the 2nd Amendment is not a second class right, it is not inferior to any of our other Rights.
It is a first class right, equal in weight and power to all of our other Rights.
And neither Minnesota, nor any other state, has the lawful authority to violate our first-class 2nd Amendment Right.
And it doesn’t help when Bessent and Noem, who are out of their lane (at least Bessent was), go out and speak publicly, and wrongly, about our most fundamental Right, in service to the administration’s preferred narrative.
I understand the administration is looking for any and every way to justify the deadly use of force against the Pretti maggot, but they can’t just throw the 2nd Amendment under the bus to do it.
As noted in the video, every protestor has a right to keep and bear arms, just exactly like, and no different at all, than the colonists at the Boston Massacre.
It’s practically a 1:1 analogue.
So it’s not even credibly contestable.
And it’s the administration’s job to UPHOLD our Constitutional rights, not muddy the waters or appear to support unconstitutional Minnesota state laws.

UPS to cut another 30,000 jobs as it doubles down on turnaround
(Reuters) – United Parcel Service (UPS.N) on Tuesday said it would cut up to 30,000 operational roles in 2026, adding to last year’s job reductions as the delivery giant looks to accelerate a turnaround fueled by a pivot to higher-margin shipments.
The company also beat Wall Street estimates for quarterly results in the all-important holiday period and forecast a surprise rise in annual revenue.
UPS in January last year said it would accelerate a plan to slash millions of low-profit deliveries for Amazon.com (AMZN.O), its largest customer and a growing delivery rival, calling the business “extraordinarily dilutive” to margins.
The workforce reduction will “be accomplished through attrition and we expect to offer a second voluntary separation program for full-time drivers”, Chief Financial Officer Brian Dykes said on a post-earnings call.
The company’s shares were down 1% in premarket trading.
UPS is also looking to rebuild its profitability and stabilize volumes following the end of U.S. duty-free, “de minimis” low-value, e-commerce shipments.
The company has cut 48,000 jobs, launched driver buyouts, and closed operations at 93 facilities in 2025 as it targets about $3 billion in savings in 2026.
UPS recorded a non-cash, after-tax charge of $137 million related to writing off the MD‑11 fleet following a deadly November crash. UPS said it completed the retirement of the fleet in the fourth quarter.

The company did not say what business units would be impacted, or where the job cuts would occur.
The latest reductions follow a round of job cuts in October, when Amazon said it was laying off 14,000 workers. While some Amazon units completed those “organizational changes” in October, others did not finish until now, Galetti said.
She said U.S.-based staff would be given 90 days to look for a new role internally. Those who are unsuccessful or don’t want a new job will be offered severance pay, outplacement services and health insurance benefits, she said.

Here’s an example of another kind of psychological warfare — the “new recommended childhood / adolescent vaccination schedule” that the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) just published.
This “AAP recommended vaccine schedule” is ALMOST EXACTLY the OLD childhood / adolescent vaccine schedule of the CDC that Sec. Kennedy, Jr., just abolished.
For example: The RSV and the HepB vaccines are GIVEN AT BIRTH.
For example: COVID-19 “vaccines” are given starting at 6 MONTHS.
For example: Pregnant women are to be given SEVERAL types of vaccines.
The “AAP recommended vaccine schedule” PDF is formatted, and uses language almost exactly mirroring, TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THE OLD CDC SCHEDULE.

The tone of the AAP’s statement regarding their “recommended vaccine schedule” is unbelievably condescending. It tells parents that THE AAP IS THE “TRUSTED SOURCE” of information about childhood / adolescent vaccines.

Yours Truly and Solas are back at home in “far NW Durham County.” We got back around 4:30PM today. The main roads were pretty drivable, except for icy spots where there is heavy tree cover. The side roads were a very different story — local road crews were barely starting to work on them. The sunshine yesterday and today did most of the job on these roads. But they still had multiple icy places. Thankfully, there was a lot of stuff in the back of my SUV that could help with stablization, plus the fact that people who grew up in Pittsburgh never forget how to drive on winter storm roads.
So, next up is to get the fireplace serviced and a new damper installed. Also, to buy a small generator — one to keep a lamp or two, a space heater, a small microwave, a tiny refrigerator, the phone charged up, and the laptop running. The goal is for Yours Truly and Solas to “camp out” in one room of the house in the event of a major / prolonged power outage.
I don’t know how much of these things can be taken care of before Saturday of this week, when the next big winter storm is due to hit. If Central NC is lucky, this newest storm will stay far enough off the coast to result in a smaller hit.
Just make sure the generator is outside and away from any air intakes, so that carbon monoxide can’t get in!

According to media on the ground in Fulton County, Georgia, both FBI Deputy Director Andrew Bailey and DNI Tulsi Gabbard (pictured above) were present when the FBI executed their search warrant for election records. The criminal search warrant parameters have been released and the cited federal criminal code violation, 52 USC 20511, tells a story:

GEORGIA – […] FBI agents secured an area around the large warehouse building that houses the county elections hub with yellow tape and could be seen loading boxes from the building into trucks.
FBI spokesperson Jenna Sellitto confirmed that the boxes contained ballots. Among the 2020 election documents sought are ballots, tabulator tapes from the scanners used to tally the ballots, electronic ballot images and voter rolls.
The U.S. Justice Department had no immediate comment. FBI Co-Deputy Director Andrew Bailey and U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard were seen at the elections center.
Last month, the Justice Department’s civil rights division filed a lawsuit against Fulton County seeking records related to the 2020 election.
The lawsuit claims in October, Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter to the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections, demanding “all records in your possession responsive” to a July resolution from the State Election Board.
That resolution, the lawsuit states, called for the attorney general to assist in ensuring “compliance with voting transparency.”
The October letter requested “all used and void ballots, stubs of all ballots, signature envelopes and corresponding envelope digital files from the 2020 general election in Fulton County.”
“The FBI is going to do their job and it’s about time that people have answers,” said Salleigh Grubbs, a new member of the state election board. “(The FBI) didn’t enumerate what they were looking for. I could only imagine it would have something to do with the subpoenas that have been issued previously.” (read more)

Fulton County Republican Party released a statement:
“The DOJ wrote to Fulton County in August of last year, asking for the ballots. DOJ wrote another letter in October asking again for the 2020 ballots and other records. Two weeks ago, the FBI delivered a third letter. But the majority of the Fulton County Board of Elections literally denied these requests. The Georgia State Election Board has been trying for 4 years to get the records. Including issuing a subpoena for the ballots and other records. And ALL of those efforts have failed. Until today.
I applaud Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel for finally searching for and retrieving the records from the 2020 election that the U.S. Attorney General under federal law is entitled to receive and review.
It is my hope that the FBI is in the process of getting every box of 2020 election materials in that warehouse to be able to piece together, once and for all, the truth about 2020. I am dedicated to making sure to the best of my ability that elections in Fulton County are accurate.
Let’s hope this starts a new chapter in Fulton County for transparency and accountability.”

A three-person conservative majority on the State Election Board has repeatedly sought to reopen a case alleging wrongdoing by Fulton County during the 2020 election. It passed a resolution in July 2025 seeking assistance from the U.S. attorney general to access voting materials.
The state board sent subpoenas to the county board for various election documents last year and again on Oct. 6. The October subpoena requested “all used and void ballots, stubs of all ballots, signature envelopes, and corresponding envelope digital files from the 2020 General Election in Fulton County.”
The Justice Department sent a letter to the county election board Oct. 30 citing the federal Civil Rights Act and asking for all records responsive to the October subpoena from the State Election Board. Lawyers for the county election board responded about two weeks later, saying that the records are held by the county court clerk.
They also attached a letter the clerk sent to the State Election Board saying that the records are under seal in accordance with state law and can’t be released without a court order.
Wednesday’s operation also follows a December 2025 admission by Fulton County elections officials that they did not properly sign tabulator tapes after the 2020 election, which is a violation of state regulations.
The county also noted it had misplaced other tabulator tapes and documents related to the controversial election.
The admission was made by county attorney Ann Brumbaugh during a Dec. 9, 2025, meeting of the State Elections Board.
Tabulator tapes are essentially receipts printed from ballot tabulation machines that help to verify that the number of voters matches the number of votes. They are a key piece of the verification and certification process in every county election across the state.
Georgia regulations state a poll manager and two witnesses must be present for the printing, checking and signing of each tape from the machines.”
