Things are going well. Health is on the upswing and things are getting done.

I’m still playing with the Gab AI images – I will use the output to add some variety to the next three months while I’m away for long periods of time.

The image AI “Gabby” is back up. Here’s an example of what it can do. This was in “Steampunk” mode.

Not sure how it decided to add a moon. I just asked for a steampunk wolf with a tophat.

I like these older watches from the previous incarnation of Gabby. More about Gabby next time.

Medical things are going well. I’m definitely regaining control of my health, and am feeling good. I’m now almost well enough for the extensive travel, physical labor, and other things that will keep me busy during the next 4-6 months.

And if we get some TRUMP sanity back into the White House, a trip to the inauguration is not out of the question!

THE STUFF

An Update…..

So far, things are going better than expected. I appreciate your prayers and support. I have made it past several hurdles, but also had a close call, from which much was learned. I’m actually in a better and safer place now, because of it.

Because I have sworn off a variety of responsibilities, including (here) “big fresh Monday dailies”, I have been able to spend hours every day in medical self-education, to learn what was needed to make significant headway against one of my medical issues. Many other issues are impacted by this one, so it was critical. The strategy paid off, and I have begun to move one huge rock out of my path.

My issues appear to be at the edge of science, which is both fascinating and a bit scary. We live in a very interesting time, when medicine is both “under construction” and obviously falling apart. I am trying to stay ahead of the collapse. So far, the magic of surfing is working.

I am trying to stay connected to all my major activities (art worlds, local politics, this site, neighbors, friends, exercise, home upkeep, financial stewardship & taxes, and most of all supporting my wife in her activities), but I’ve had to ditch major responsibilities in many of them.

Health comes first now.

I was very interested by what I learned from TradeBait’s post, and all your comments there. It’s nice to see things working, and I’m learning a lot.

I got onto Gab AI and made the image on the cover, using their “Watercolor” Image AI. I am trying to test their evolving AI capabilities. Gotta keep as many “tiny irons” in the fire as possible. I am planning to GET BETTER, and I don’t want to lose my place in things.

We’ll see how things go this week. As I said, your prayers are appreciated, and they’re working! THANK YOU!!!

Just remember…we might replace the RINO candidates. (Or we might not. The record is mixed even though there is more MAGA than there used to be.) State party chairs, vice chairs, secretaries and so on, and the same at county levels, have huge influence on who ultimately gets nominated, and if these party wheelhorses are RINOs, they will work tirelessly to put their own pukey people on the ballot. In fact I’d not be surprised if some of our “MAGA” candidates are in fact, RINO plants, encouraged to run by the RINO party leadership when they realized that Lyn Cheney (and her ilk) were hopelessly compromised as effective candidates. The best way for them to deal with the opposition, of course, is to run it themselves.

Running good candidates is only HALF of the battle!

The prior election must be acknowledged as fraudulent, and steps must be taken to prosecute the fraudsters and restore integrity to the system.

Nothing else matters at this point. Talking about trying again in 2022 or 2024 is hopeless otherwise. Which is not to say one must never talk about this, but rather that one must account for this in ones planning; if fixing the fraud is not part of the plan, you have no plan.

(Note: most media quotes are for the bid…the price paid by the market makers, not the ask, which is what they will sell at. I figure the ask is more relevant to people like us who wish we could afford to buy these things. In the case of gold the difference is usually about a dollar, for the PGMs the spread is much wider.)

Gold still bouncing around. But the platinum group metals are all undeniably in decline. Palladium has almost dropped below platinum. Actually, by one measure it already has. I quote the “Ask” prices because that’s what your purchase price is (somewhat) related to, but most quote “Bid” (how much they will pay a trader for the paper, in the commodities market). Platinum has a ten dollar spread, which means the Bid is $10 less than the ask, at $874. But palladium’s spread is typically $40, so bid on that is $847. If you can see past the dyslexia hazard, that means most people today are quoting palladium at less than platinum, for the first time in a LONG time. (I suppose I should have sold when it was at $3,000?)

When I was new to this, gold was roughly $300, platinum was roughly $400, and palladium was $80 or maybe $120 though it jumped to $180 when “cold fusion” was announced. So to my gut the market was upside down with palladium the most expensive and platinum the cheapest. At least palladium is back where it belongs, now if the sale on platinum would just effing end…

Attitude Adjustment

Ingredients

Makes 1

½ oz. simple syrup (1:1)

¼ oz. Green Chartreuse

¾ oz. lime juice

1½ oz. Matusalem Clasico Rum

Miller High Life to bottom (and as a side sipper)

Lime wheel, to garnish

  1. Step 1Build in the shaker tin—first the simple syrup, then the lime, Chartreuse, and rum. Taste. Miller High Life is deceptively sweet, so before the cocktail gets strained into your glass, it needs to be on the dry side. 
  2. Step 2Grab your Collins glass and add 4 ice cubes, then bottom with some of the beer; set aside. Add 3 ice cubes to the shaking tin and Collins shake. Taste again. Does it feel a little too hot and boozy right now? That’s okay! It’s going to mingle with the beer, which will stretch out the dilution. Strain into the prepared Collins glass. We serve the beer remaining in the pony bottle alongside the cocktail. Garnish with the lime wheel.

The low-down…..

I already had a long list of things I absolutely must do this year – which include some significant trips, and big medical projects which I put off from last year.

Yes, THE WOOF needs some upkeep to his fine if somewhat ancient mechanism!

And then the medical stuff got compounded by some bad, stupid, Biden-era corruption, which I would love to elaborate upon, but can’t.

The bottom line is that I’m now spending all my time trying to correct the cascading problems of a system error that should have never happened.

And all this takes TIME.

To make sure I have a post up every Monday, it’s going to have to be placeholders.

Or, as I was saying, espaces réservés. Which sounds so much more dignified.

So what can you all do?

If somebody wants to take over the Monday daily, that’s great. Let me know. It’s not absolutely necessary, because the espaces réservés work quite nicely.

But that’s not the most important thing. If I can ask, the occasional prayer for my health would be wonderful. Nothing big – there are many people on this site who need your prayers far more than me. Pray for THEM regularly. But still, prayer is good – prayer is strong – and prayer is effective. An occasional prayer for me to “fix up solid” would be greatly appreciated.

Best and fastest way to get me back online for the election.
