Hope is our Anchor
In Hebrews 6:16–20, the biblical writer intends to instill steadfast hope in his readers to keep them from drifting about aimlessly through the Christian life. He does so by identifying three wholly reliable sources of hope as an anchor for the soul: God’s Word, God’s character, and God’s Son.
The Lord not only gives us the promise of salvation and eternal life (John 3:16), but He reinforces it by binding Himself with an oath “so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that He would never change His mind” (Hebrews 6:17, NLT). God’s Word and nature are rock solid. He is trustworthy, and “it is impossible for God to lie” (Hebrews 6:18). The dependability of God’s promise and His character bolster our faith so that we can “take hold of the hope set before us” and “be greatly encouraged” (verse 18).
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek” (Hebrews 6:19–20). God’s Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, is a powerful and dependable anchor for our souls.
Our hope-inspired encouragement is based on the finished work of Christ. As our high priest, Jesus “has entered that greater, more perfect Tabernacle in heaven. . . . With his own blood—not the blood of goats and calves—he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever” (Hebrews 9:11–12, NLT). Through his life, death, and resurrection, Jesus Christ has won the ultimate victory over sin and death for us (Colossians 2:14–15; Romans 6:9; 1 John 5:4). Because of Him, we have the promise of eternal life (1 John 2:25).
The anchor has been a symbol of hope among Christians since the days of the early church. (A Dictionary of Christian Antiquities, Vol. I, W. Smith & S. Cheetham, ed., London: John Murray, 1875, p. 81). The anchor metaphor emphasizes the stability and safety of Christ as our hope. The writer describes this hope as an anchor that is “firm and secure” (NIV), “sure and steadfast” (ESV), “strong and trustworthy” (NLT). A ship’s anchor allows the vessel to remain fixed and unmoving regardless of the conditions at sea. Our faith in Jesus Christ keeps us from becoming “like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind” (James 1:6).
Just as an anchor stops a ship from drifting with the winds and currents, keeping our eyes on the hope of heaven (2 Corinthians 4:16–18) and the “pioneer and perfector of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2), who is Jesus Christ, will prevent our souls from wavering and wandering in times of pressure and turmoil. God has “caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials” (1 Peter 1:3–6, ESV).
As believers, we have “a living hope” and “hope as an anchor” that holds secure because it is tethered to the steadfast Word of God and the unchanging, reliable character of God. He is faithful, and His promises are true (Joshua 21:45; Psalm 33:4; Hebrews 10:23). One commentator imagines the anchor’s rope extending “from heaven’s heights back down to earth, where faithful people can ‘seize the hope set before us.’ Like rock climbers scaling an imposing height, Christians steady themselves by trusting God’s promises, holding on for dear life to this cord of hope” (Long, T., Hebrews, John Knox Press, 1997, p. 78). With Jesus Christ as our anchor, no power of darkness and no earthly opposition can harm us (Romans 8:31–34).
We live with hope because we possess the Holy Spirit inside us as a guarantee of our redemption and full adoption as sons and daughters of God (Romans 8:23–25; Ephesians 1:11–14). When this “earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling . . . so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come” (2 Corinthians 5:1–5).
The hope set before us as an anchor of our soul is that Jesus Christ has already gone before us into the holy of holies where God dwells in glory. God’s Word promises that we will be with Him there one day. That future reality is already secured by the finished work of Jesus, our High Priest. He is also our Great Shepherd who “through the blood of the eternal covenant” equips us “with everything good for doing his will” while we are on earth (Hebrews 13:20–21; see also Ephesians 2:8–10). Just a friendly reminder Speaker Johnson. You’re doing some good things–or at least trying in the case of the budget–but this is the most important thing out there still hanging. One initial block released with the promise of more…and?
We have American patriots being held without bail and without trial, and the tapes almost certainly contain exculpatory evidence. (And if they don’t, and we’re all just yelling in an echo chamber over here, we need to know that too. And there’s only one way to know.)
Either we have a weaponized, corrupt government or we have a lot of internet charlatans. Let’s expose whatever it is. (I’m betting it’s the corrupt weaponized government, but if I am wrong, I’d like to see proof.)
Justice Must Be Done.
The prior election must be acknowledged as fraudulent, and steps must be taken to prosecute the fraudsters and restore integrity to the system.
Nothing else matters at this point. Talking about trying again in 2022 or 2024 is hopeless otherwise. Which is not to say one must never talk about this, but rather that one must account for this in ones planning; if fixing the fraud is not part of the plan, you have no plan.
Small Government?
Many times conservatives (real and fake) speak of “small government” being the goal.
This sounds good, and mostly is good, but it misses the essential point. The important thing here isn’t the size, but rather the purpose, of government. We could have a cheap, small tyranny. After all our government spends most of its revenue on payments to individuals and foreign aid, neither of which is part of the tyrannical apparatus trying to keep us locked down and censored. What parts of the government would be necessary for a tyranny? It’d be a lot smaller than what we have now. We could shrink the government and nevertheless find it more tyrannical than it is today.
No, what we want is a limited government, limited not in size, but rather in scope. Limited, that is, in what it’s allowed to do. Under current circumstances, such a government would also be much smaller, but that’s a side effect. If we were in a World War II sort of war, an existential fight against nasty dictatorships on the brink of world conquest, that would be very expensive and would require a gargantuan government, but that would be what the government should be doing. That would be a large, but still limited government, since it’d be working to protect our rights.
World War II would have been the wrong time to squawk about “small government,” but it wasn’t (and never is) a bad time to demand limited government. Today would be a better time to ask for a small government–at least the job it should be doing is small today–but it misses the essential point; we want government to not do certain things. Many of those things we don’t want it doing are expensive but many of them are quite eminently doable by a smaller government than the one we have today. Small, but still exceeding proper limits.
So be careful what you ask for. You might get it and find you asked for the wrong thing.
Political Science In Summation
It’s really just a matter of people who can’t be happy unless they control others…versus those who want to be left alone. The oldest conflict within mankind. Government is necessary, but government attracts the assholes (a highly technical term for the control freaks).
His Truth?
Again we saw an instance of “It might be true for Billy, but it’s not true for Bob” logic this week.
I hear this often, and it’s usually harmless. As when it’s describing differing circumstances, not different facts. “Housing is unaffordable” can be true for one person, but not for another who makes ten times as much.
But sometimes the speaker means it literally. Something like 2+2=4 is asserted to be true for Billy but not for Bob. (And when it’s literal, it’s usually Bob saying it.) And in that sense, it’s nonsense, dangerous nonsense. There is ONE reality, and it exists independent of our desires and our perceptions. It would go on existing if we weren’t here. We exist in it. It does not exist in our heads. It’s not a personal construct, and it isn’t a social construct. If there were no society, reality would continue to be what it is, it wouldn’t vanish…which it would have to do, if it were a social construct.
Now what can change from person to person is the perception of reality. We see that all the time. And people will, of course, act on those perceptions. They will vote for Trump (or try to) if their perception is close to mine, and vote against Trump (and certainly succeed at doing so) if their perception is distant from mine (and therefore, if I do say so, wrong). I have heard people say “perception is reality” and usually, that’s what they’re trying to say–your perception of reality is, as far as you know, an accurate representation of reality, or you’d change it.
But I really wish they’d say it differently. And sometimes, to get back to Billy and Bob, the person who says they have different truths is really saying they have different perceptions of reality–different worldviews. I can’t argue with the latter. But I sure wish they’d say it better. That way I’d know that someone who blabbers about two different truths is delusional and not worth my time, at least not until he passes kindergarten-level metaphysics on his umpteenth attempt.

Palladium went absolutely bananas Thursday and Friday rising 96 bucks the first day and 37 bucks the second. Platinum went up a whole eight bugs then down three. (Somebody, please go wake platinum the hell up.) Silver managed to drop one cent, while gold showed a modest increase. (As such, the gold:silver ratio has gone up.)
*The SteveInCO Federal Reserve Note Suckage Index (FRNSI) is a measure of how much the dollar has inflated. It’s the ratio of the current price of gold, to the number of dollars an ounce of fine gold made up when the dollar was defined as 25.8 grains of 0.900 gold. That worked out to an ounce being $20.67+71/387 of a cent. (Note gold wasn’t worth this much back then, thus much gold was $20.67 71/387ths. It’s a subtle distinction. One ounce of gold wasn’t worth $20.67 back then, it was $20.67.) Once this ratio is computed, 1 is subtracted from it so that the number is zero when the dollar is at its proper value, indicating zero suckage.
The Moon and Flat Earth
Let us examine what we should expect to see when observing the Moon, assuming the usual flat earth model is correct.
We’ll start with this standard diagram.
It’s difficult to tie down exact distances, because the Flat Earthers have yet to come up with a map (as opposed to a diagram) complete with a scale, but apparently the Moon is claimed to be about 3000 kilometers above the plane of the Earth. There’s no official notion what the diameter of the disc is, either, but one could say that the distance from the north pole (at the center of the disc) to the outer rim (corresponding to the globe earth south pole) is 20,000 km since that is very roughly the distance on the round earth (globers have no hesitation in publishing exact figures). Alternatively since the glober circumference of the earth along the equator is ~40,000 km, we could say that that is the distance that should be measured along the circle of the equator, which means (via dividing by 2 x pi) the distance from the center to the equator is 6366.2 km. From the pole to the equator is 1/4 of the total distance across the circle, so the diameter of the entire disk is 25,465 km. (Which is actually fairly close to the globe earth circumference when that is expressed in miles, by coincidence.)
The Moon varies in declination from 28.7 S to 28.7 N, or to translate that into non-astronomese, that’s as far north or south as it gets. The Sun, by contrast, stays between 23.44 degrees S and N. (In globe earth terms, that’s the Earth’s axial tilt.) Every flat earth model I’ve seen shows the Sun going around and around on a daily basis, following a circle that grows or shrinks according to the seasons, withing these bounds on the flat earth; likely also about 3000km above the Earth. I’m going to assume the Moon behaves similarly only within the 28.7 S to 28.7 N bounds.

The Moon is regarded by most Flat Earthers as a sphere, with some minority thinking that it, too is some sort of disk. Whichever one it is, when you look at a full moon, you see something like this:
However, it may be tilted clockwise (near moonset) or counter-clockwise (at moonrise), in other words the orientation may be different. This is lunar north pole at the top so it should be close to what you see when the moon is directly south of you, which should happen at about midnight on a full moon, provided you’re north of the moon.
And therein lies the first problem.
What if you are south of the moon at that moment? Like, for instance, living in Australia or South Africa or South America?
If the flat earth is correct, you should see a good part of the other side of the moon (if it is a sphere), since you’ll be “behind” the moon compared to the guy to its north. Not exactly behind the moon, so there will be some overlap between what the two of you see. The person south of the moon, in other words, should see some features you cannot see, and vice versa.
On the other hand, if the Moon is a disk (apparently the minority opinion in the flat earth camp), then…well, there are two sub cases. If the moon is pasted to the firmament so that it faces “down” to the Earth, than only people directly under it will see the moon as a circle; anyone else will see it as elliptical. If (on the other hand) it happens to be face-on to the viewer in the northern hemisphere, anyone not on that line of sight should see it as elliptical, and if they’re far enough away, they may even be seeing the opposite face of the disk.
Yet we’ve never seen a photograph of the back side of the Moon taken from Earth’s surface, not even a partial one. Nor have we seen pictures with the Moon distorted into an elliptical shape because the photographers are not face-on to it. Yet effects like these must happen if the Moon is as close as is claimed.
Here’s another issue. If you’re inside the circle that the Moon traces every day, you will be closest to the moon when it is directly south of you; if you’re outside of that circle, you will be closest to the moon when it is directly north of you. If you are actually very close to the moon’s latitude, it should pass by almost directly overhead, and be nearest at that time. Closer to moonrise/moon set it should be much further away.
If it’s further away, it should look smaller. Yet tracking the moon across the sky shows no change in its apparent size, no matter where you are.
Interestingly, these same issues would arise on Globe Earth, if the Moon were this close to it. If you saw the moon looking like the picture I showed, someone far away would be able to see features that you can’t, on the other side of the Moon. So the mistake here is not with the shape of the Earth, but rather, with the notion that the Moon is nearby.
All of these issues resolve if the Moon is far away, compared to our baseline (40,000 km for Flat Earth, or 13,000 km for Globe Earth). If the Moon is far enough away, two people standing 40,000 km apart will see almost exactly the same features on a spherical Moon, with the differences being seen oblique near the edges of what we see, so those differences would be hard to even tell apart.
How far away? Aristarchus of Samos who lived from 310-230 BCE (approximately) was able to do a computation, and got a value of roughly 130,000 kilometers. Others, like Hipparchus and Ptolemy, got 425,000 and 376,000 kilometers, respectively.
If numbers like these are even remotely correct–and they must be at a bare minimum, because we do not see the effects we would see (regardless of the shape of the Earth) if the Moon were closer to Earth–then there’s now a new problem.
If the Moon is that far away, two different observers on a flat Earth should see it in almost exactly the same direction, both altitude and azimuth. [Altitude: the angle above the horizon, with 0 being on the horizon and 90 being overhead. Azimuth: the compass bearing of the object. Generally 0 is considered to be due north, 90 degrees is to the east, 180 to the south, 270 to the west, and 360 is also due north.] This is because it is so far away that shifting a few thousand kilometers should make little difference, like taking two steps sideways and noting that light pole at the other end of the parking lot only seems to shift a little compared to the buildings in the distance. A 40000 km shift (from one edge to the other) against a moon 300,000 km away should lead to an angular shift of about seven and a half degrees.
Yet at the same time. different people can see the Moon low in the east, and low in the west, a difference of almost 180 degrees! OK, that one can be explained on Flat Earth. If I’m in Colorado, west is the same direction as east would be in India (check the diagram). [Also true for globe earth, in three dimensions.] But what about when the Moon is overhead for me, and low to the horizon for someone else, at the same time? There’s no way to make that work, for a distant object, on a Flat Earth. And we’ve established that the Moon must be distant.
Well, there’s only one way to solve that problem. The ground itself that you are standing on, cannot be oriented in the same direction as the ground of that other observer. To try to visualize this, it’s easiest to deal with plumb bobs; the lay of the ground (if the ground is horizontal) is perpendicular to the plumb bob. So if “horizontal’ is the same thing in two different places, the plumb bobs will be perpendicular to the same thing and thus parallel to each other. This would be the case on Flat Earth. A line of sight to a distant moon would form nearly the same angle to both plumb bobs, instead of very different angles, which is what we actually observe.
Therefore horizontal in one place, is not oriented the same as horizontal in the other place. The Earth cannot be flat. (What shape it actually is can be determined by collecting information about the orientation of the moon from various locations, all at the same time.)
As a post script, the same reasoning works for the Sun as well…though you have to have the proper equipment to see sunspots, otherwise the Sun is just a featureless sphere and you cannot tell whether two people far apart are looking at two different sides of it or not.
Oilworld
I know of a world where it rains, there are mountains, hills, streams and rivers and lakes, all under a nice thick atmosphere–thick enough you could strap on wings and fly! Not the dessicated nearly-airless rocks of the inner solar system, the roasting dry hell that is Venus, the deep-frozen (or totally volcanic) Galilean moons, the bottomless atmospheres of the gas giants.
Comparatively speaking this is nearly paradise!
Perhaps I have a second calling for writing real estate ads. Because what I haven’t told you is that this place is a frigid 93 K (-290 F)…so cold that water is a rock, a hard one, never a liquid. Those mountains are largely made of ice. The streams and rivers and lakes? Liquid methane and ethane, in some ways a lot like gasoline, but gasoline would be frozen solid here. If one could feel this stuff it would probably feel oily, not wet. The atmosphere is almost pure nitrogen; even if it weren’t at that frigid temperature you’d pass out and die breathing it. And it’s so smoggy that you’d never see the shrunken sun, nor much of anything else in the night sky.
I speak, of course, of Saturn’s moon Titan, which orbits at 1,122,870 km. (Compare to the Earth-Moon distance of 384,399 km.) Despite being almost three times further, this is still close enough to Saturn that, if you could see Saturn through the smog it would be 11 1/2 times as wide as the moon. Titan is almost precisely in Saturn’s equatorial plane, however, so the rings would be almost perfectly edge on. The orbital period is 15.95 days. Here it is, seen from an Earth-based telescope, a dot to Saturn’s upper right.
To remind people of what I said in the Moon roundup, major moons (the ones that are round) come in three sizes, large (7 of them), medium (9 of them) and small (three of them), for a total of nineteen. There are also five non-rounded minor moons about the size of those small major moons, we can call these “big” small moons, well, big small moons, or maybe medium-small.
The seven large major moons are: our own Moon, Io, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto, Titan and Triton. Titan happens to be the second largest of the Big Ones. It’s just a bit smaller than Ganymede, and it’s thus the 10th largest object in the solar system (including the Sun); it’s larger than Mercury. This is the only large major moon that Saturn has, so Jupiter has it beat. Or does it? Saturn has four of the medium major moons (out of nine total), and two of the three small ones, for a total of seven major moons. And for the cherry on top, two of the big five unrounded moons are also here. But we’ll cover the medium and small stuff later; today we focus on Titan, which is arguably the most interesting of the large (and major) moons.
Titan was thought to be larger than Ganymede until relatively recently; it turned out that astronomers were measuring the light-impenetrable atmosphere, and that was enough to make the difference and fool astronomers for decades. An understandable error; this is the only moon with a significant atmosphere; more so than ours in many ways.
And yes, there’s more than enough air pressure to allow stable liquids to form. (The only other world like that in our solar system is the one you’re sitting on.) The atmosphere is four times as dense as ours, yet the pressure is “only” 1.45 times our atmospheric pressure. The difference being largely due to Titan’s much lower surface gravity of 13.8 percent of Earths (our Moon’s gravity is higher, actually.)
After the Pioneer and Voyager missions, we realized that there could be liquids on Titan’s surface. The Hubble Space Telescope was able to add to the speculation by detecting more strong evidence.
So we decided that the next time we sent something to Saturn, we’d take a closer look at Titan.
A much closer look. As in, actually touching it.
The Cassini probe, named after one of the two scientists who first studied Saturn in depth, brought with it the Huygens lander…named after the other of those two scientists, the one who discovered Titan. From 2004-2017 Cassini was able, in its copious spare time while studying Saturn, to map Titan with its penetrating radar, and Huygens actually landed on Titan on January 14, 2005.
Radar is needed, because this is what Titan would look like to human Mark I eyeballs, in true color, no enhancements, no false color:
The color is good old smog.
With near infrared (“near” meaning it’s infrared at frequencies close to visible light), you see this:
This feature was actually first seen by the Hubble Space Telescope in 1994, though Cassini got a better look starting in 2003. The dark area is apparently a dune sea! (No, no Shai Hulud. Sorry, Coothie.)
So here is a map put together in 2016, with a lot of official names for features (open in a new tab for a much more legible rendering):
It looks like a bit of a patchwork quilt because Cassini could only do sharp imaging on those occasions where it was flying by Titan; it wasn’t dedicated to studying Titan, so many areas are just shaded polygons, or just very blurry. (In fact Cassini divided its time between studying Saturn itself and 20 different moons.)
As with any map like this, you won’t get a decent notion of the two poles, so here they are. In case you haven’t gotten my subtle hints that this isn’t very good real estate (never mind the billion mile one-way commute) you can scout out properties on the original images at over 3000 pixels width.
And now what you’ve been waiting for: Huygens’ descent to Titan’s surface. This just-under-five-minute movie is a time lapse, showing you the fish-eye image sent as the probe descended. Look to the sides, though, and you will see graphics reporting time, angles to the Sun and Cassini, which sensors are seeing what at any given time, altitude information, scale information…this thing is loaded; many of you will want to watch it a couple of times.
And in case you didn’t want to watch that, here’s the contrast-enhanced picture from the surface:
(Now go back and watch the movie.) Those rocks are almost certainly water ice.
Huygens is the only probe we’ve ever landed on a body that remains entirely in the outer solar system.
OK, so on to a bit more technical content. Here’s a cutaway of Titan, somewhat hypothetical, much like the one I found for three of the Galilean satellites a few weeks ago:
And yes…another liquid water ocean deep down! But we’re not completely certain that this is the correct model; note that the diagram specifies which model it is, which it wouldn’t have to do if we were certain of it.
The atmosphere is responsible for the fact we can have liquids on Titan; here’s a diagram of its layers:
Nearer the surface, we have this cross section, reminiscent of some notional cross sections we see for Earth:
On earth we have aquifers the top of which are the water table, and a lake is basically where the water table is above the surface. But here we have…an “alkanofer”?!? What the heck is that about?
(Dragging out the organic chemistry skis. Not a soapbox, skis. As in, getting out over my…) Alkanes are a class of molecule consisting of nothing but hydrogen and carbon. Every carbon uses all four of its bonds to connect to distinct atoms. The simplest alkane is methane, with one carbon, connected to four hydrogens, CH4. The next one up is a pair of carbons, connected to each other by one bond (carbon can double or even triple bond, but those cases wouldn’t be alkanes). The other three bonds for each carbon is connected to a hydrogen, for a total of two carbons and six hydrogens, C2H6; this is ethane. You can add a third carbon to the chain, to get propane (C3H8), a fourth to get butane (C4H10)…but now there’s an additional complication. With four carbons, they could form a chain, or a T, with one carbon in the “middle” connected directly to three other carbons. Either configuration will connect to ten hydrogen atoms. The chain is butane, the T configuration is isobutane.
And if you allow rings of carbon atoms (technically molecules with rings aren’t called alkanes, but rather cycloalkanes), you can have up to six different variations, called isomers. Four of them are shown below. Though the ones with rings don’t connect to as many hydrogen atoms, in the lower left is cyclobutane and note there are only eight hydrogen atoms.
(And yes, propane has a ring form too, but the chain is the only possible three carbon alkane.)
You can go on, and the higher you go the more isomers are possible, and this number grows rapidly. Leaving out cyclo- type isomers, you have 2 isomers for 4 carbons, three isomers for 5 carbons, five for 6 carbons, nine for 7 carbons, 18 for 8 carbons, 35 and seventy five for 9 and 10 carbons, respectively…and when you get to 32 carbons, there are over 27 billion isomers…again, no rings.
One trend is that the longer the alkane, the higher its melting point. Hence we have butane which is a liquid on earth at 0 C, and at room temperature with just a little bit of pressure (like in cigarette lighters), pentane which is liquid up to 34 C, and so on. Gasoline is largely made up of alkanes and cycloalkanes with (roughly) eight or so carbon atoms in them.
At the low temperatures on Titan, only the smallest alkanes will be liquid, but that doesn’t mean bigger ones don’t exist as sand or other forms of solid matter. Imagine a world you could scrape frozen crude off the ground.
Titan should, perhaps, be thought of as “Oilworld.”
What would it be like to swim on Titan? Pretending that the cold and lack of oxygen wouldn’t kill you within seconds, these liquids aren’t very dense, so you’d sink to the bottom of the lake or pond. Your best strategy might be to leap out of the “water,” rather than try to swim.
Life?
For those speculating about life, Titan has some advantages. It certainly has plenty of carbon, and those alkanes make good feedstock for building more complex molecules (which is why, for instance there’s so much smog there). But that life would almost certainly have to exist in that subsurface ocean…and we’re not even sure that that ocean is there, yet. Anywhere else, it’s simply too cold.
On the other hand, its atmosphere resembles the atmosphere on Earth, back before cyanobacteria and plants started producing oxygen. It’s likely Titan would have something to teach us about pre-biotic chemistry.
Future Missions
In 2028 Dragonfly will launch, and in the mid 2030s it will arrive at Titan. It will be a flying drone, powered by radioisotope thermoelectric generator, i.e., the heat from a chunk of plutonium 238 (which literally glows red, it’s so hot from radioactivity). This is the way we power most of our probes to the outer solar system, however Juno and Europa Clipper did (and will) use large solar arrays (they have to be large because sunlight is very weak out there). Other unfunded ideas were for a hot air balloon, a probe that would float on one of the lakes, and even a submarine drone!
Titan is going to get a lot of attention in the future, that’s for sure.

The post today is not an exhaustive interpretation of the “Diblasi, et al. paper.” In fact, the paper raises many other questions that demand answers: several sets of questions (from Yours Truly) are listed in the post. Yours Truly is also aware that a certain person is attempting online to “debunk” this paper, to the point of labeling it as a “hoax”; one finds it difficult to agree with such a conclusion. Given that the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 “vaccine” (GTI) has the higher percentage of persons who were “vaccinated” with it, Yours Truly will restrict the discussion as it relates to this post to the results of the Pfizer-BioNTech tests. In addition, results of six isotope types (chemical element types) from the last two assay dates — 3/11/2023 and 3/1/2024, are underlined by Yours Truly. These six are: Lithium (Li); Aluminum (Al); Vanadium (V); Chromium (Cr); Arsenic (As); and, Barium (Ba.)
The higher the number of protons and neutrons in a chemical element, the more “mass” the chemical element has.

Proceeding now to the underlined chemical elements items in the last two assays of BNT162b2 / COMIRNATY, from the Diblasi, et al., paper. Note: sections of information regarding this chemical element (Arsenic), and the other five underlined chemical elements in the last two assays of this “vaccine”, are from the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) online entries; other sources of information for each one will be text-hyperlinked. Lithium, Aluminum, Vanadium, and Chromium are metals of various degrees of hardness (“heavy metals.”) Arsenic is a “semi-metal.” Barium is a “soft, alkaline earth metal.” (All, per Wikipedia.)
Questions that arise, first set: Why are there so many chemical elements in BNT162b2/COMIRNATY? Why did Pfizer-BioNTech not “declare” almost all of them? Were each of the chemical elements that the company added to BNT162b2/COMIRMATY separately tested for toxicity prior to inclusion in the product? Was there some sort of “collusion” among the developers of the various COVID-19 “vaccines” (GTIs) that were tested along the lines of, “You put ABC chemical elements into your product, we’ll put XYZ chemical elements into our product, and we’ll see how it goes”? Why does it appear that the amounts of these chemical elements reduce, increase, or “disappear” from the products from one test assay to another of the same “vaccine”? Does that have to do with the other technologies that seem to be in these “vaccines” — other technologies such as, “self-assembling” items? Or, such as, a kind of “incubation period” that is “built into” the product? If either, or both, of these are the case, what does that mean to the mechanisms of these “vaccines” once they are injected into the human body? What about COVID-19 “vaccine shedding” www.theatree.com/2024/03/25/the-elephant-in-the-room-shedding-of-both-the-covid-19-virus-itself-and-the-covid-19-vaccines/? For examples, Ruthenium and Lead are absorbed by the skin; and, Arsenic can be absorbed by the skin.
For an important comparison: One other item, the ICP-MS test results for the Russian COVID-19 “vaccine” (GTI), Sputnik V. Recall that this “vaccine” is made of the whole inactivated virus of SARS-CoV-2; it is the only “vaccine” that was tested that was based on this. Below are the test results:
Yours Truly included the Sputnik V test results because this COVID-19 “vaccine” is not modRNA-based. And yet, look at the test results for this product. The same six chemical elements that Yours Truly underlined in the BNT162b2/COMIRNATY test results are ALSO in Sputnik V: Lithium; Aluminum; Vanadium; Chromium; Arsenic; and Barium. Even if Aluminum is discounted (since various forms of Aluminum are used as “excipients / adjuvants” for COVID-19 “vaccines” injectables (GTIs), that leaves the other five chemical elements as being present in both products.
Questions that arise, second set: What does this mean? Could it possibly mean that the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) virus itself had chemical elements “lab-included” while it was being lab-created at the Wuhan Institute of Virology? If this is so, what about the other chemical elements on the test results list?
A paper published in 2023 (but using data from patients infected by the COVID-19 virus itself, and/or the SARS-CoV-2 virus,from before any COVID-19 “vaccine” was in use, or just after BNT162b2 was first authorized for use), gives, in Yours Truly’s opinion, a clue https://doi.org/10.1016/j.envres.2023.115419, “Individual blood concentrations of persistent organic pollutants and chemical elements, and COVID-19: A prospective cohort study in Barcelona”, Miquel Porta, et al., 4 February 2023. The cohort patients in this study were infected with the COVID-19 virus itself, or the SARS-CoV-2 virus, between mid-February 2020 and 24 January 2021.Below are two screenshots from this paper:
The Porta, et al., paper lists in the Tables the pollutants and chemical elements that were found in the COVID-19 virus itself infected patients. Among them: Lead (Pb); Arsenic; Cadmium (Cd); Mercury (Hg); Thallium (Tl); Bismuth; (Bi) Molybdenum; (Mo) Iron (Fe); Zinc (Zn); Cobalt; (Co) Chromium; Tantalum (Ta); and, Ruthenium (Ru).
The Porta, et al., paper lists in the Tables the pollutants and chemical elements that were found in the SARS-CoV-2 infected patients. Among them: Ruthenium; Tantalum; Lead; DDT; and, Thallium.
“Lifestyle” factors, such as smoking (current, past, stopped) are accounted for in the Porta, et al., study. Even removing pollutants that would be found in cigarette smoke (naphthalene and Cadmium among them), that leaves chemical elements such as Ruthenium, Tantalum, and Thallium that were found in the blood of the patients in the Porta, et al., study. And, that the presence of these chemical elements was persistent — lingering after the infection was resolved. By the way, Ruthenium and Thallium are radioactive. Barium is a “radiographic contrast agent” (in, for example, the “barium milkshake” test.)
Questions that arise, third set: What about the other chemical elements found in the various COVID-19 “vaccines”, per the Diblasi, et al., study? Were these “lab-included” into the “excipients / adjuvants” used in these “vaccines”? Were these “lab-included” into the Wuhan Hu1 SARS-COV-2 samples that were used by the companies developing and/or manufacturing these “vaccines” (samples that presumably, at least the start of the pandemic, came from the WIV? Did these companies decide of themselves to include them?
The COVID-19 “vaccines” injectables (GTIs) contain: the modRNA (lab-enhanced from the Wuhan Hu1 SARS-CoV-2 virus) in the COVID-19 “vaccine” injectables that use this platform; the SV40 African Green Monkey cancer promoter gene piece in the Pfizer-BioNTech “vaccine” injectables (https://doi.org/10.31219/osf.io/mjc97, “DNA fragments detected in monovalent and bivalent Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna modRNA COVID-19 vaccines from Ontario, Canada: Exploratory dose response relationship with serious adverse events”, David J. Speicher, et al., 19 October 2023; DNA fragments in both the Pfizer-BioNTech and in the Moderna COVID-19 “vaccine” injectables (see paper cited above); dangerous lipid nanoparticles (ALC-0159, ALC-0315 in the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 “vaccine” injectables; SM-102 in the Moderna COVID-19 injectables); polyethylene glycol “excipients / adjuvants” (PEG2000-DMG); and, numerous chemical elements, including heavy metals (Vanadium; Chromium); radioactive elements (Thallium); Arsenic;Ruthenium; and, Lithium. These are the ingredients that COVID-19 “vaccinated” persons age 18 and older have in their bodies. These are the ingredients that adults allow their children to be COVID-19 “vaccinated” with. No one knows exactly how long the COVID-19 “vaccines” work inside the body of the “vaccinated” person.
What about the SARS-CoV-2 virus itself? Yours Truly opines that this may contain, among other items: mixed RNA/mRNA coronavirus elements and pieces from various animal sources (bats; monkeys; civets; pangolins); Chromium; Cobalt; Zinc; Arsenic; Molybdenum; Ruthenium; Cadmium; Gold (Au); Thallium; and, Lead. There are heavy metals among these.
“Chelation” is a method used to remove heavy metals from the body. The use of chelation is controversial. Physicians can prescribe certain medications to assist in removing heavy metals from the body. Questions that arise, fourth set: What, if anything, did Dr. Anthony Fauci know about the inclusion of numerous chemical elements into the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 “vaccine” injectables? What did Dr. Francis Collins (Dr. Fauci’s superior at the NIH) know? What did Albert Bourla (CEO of PfizerUSA) know? What did Dr. Deborah Birx know? What did the FDA know? What did the CDC know?
En Fin: At what point will people, horrified at the deaths, disabilities, illnesses, and injuries, being inflicted on their COVID-19 “vaccinated” family members, friends, and colleagues, realize that “they’ve been had”? At what point will people realize that the “official narrative” of, “the COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective” means that these injectables are NOT safe; and, that “effective” means the amount of damage these injectables have done/continue to do, to the bodies of the “vaccinated”? At what point do people realize that the “official narrative” of, “the known and potential risks outweigh the known and potential risks” of the COVID-19 “vaccines” was, and is, a lie? — and that the COVID-19 “vaccines” are “all risk and no benefit”? General Summary: It is now known (per the Diblasi et al., paper) that the COVID-19 “vaccines” (GTIs) contain numerous chemical elements, some of which are radioactive, and others of which are metals and/or “rare Earth” elements. It is now known that the COVID-19 virus itself likely contains chemical elements, at least three of which (Chromium, Thallium, and Lead) are heavy metals; and that at least one of which (Thallium) is radioactive. It is now known that (per the Porta, et al. paper) that these chemical elements are persistent in the body of a person who was infected with the COVID-19 virus itself but who has recovered. It is now known that chemical elements are found in the modRNA-based and in the whole inactivated virus-based COVID-19 “vaccine” (GTI) injectables. There are many questions that arise from these discoveries that demand answers.

Death in the Afternoon will make you Comfortably Numb
Certain drinks just fit a ‘moment’ based on their name alone. Now that it’s Halloween time, this cocktail always makes an appearance.
Hemingway was living in Paris when he came up with this cocktail. It shares the same name as one of his bestsellers, “Death in the Afternoon.” Like other great authors, who invent drinks, he includes a written recipe for how to make it. The recipe was first published in a famous author’s cocktail book called, “So Red The Nose, or Breath In The Afternoon.” In it, Hemingway recommended the following directions:
“Pour one jigger absinthe into a Champagne glass. Add iced Champagne until it attains the proper opalescent milkiness. Drink three to five of these slowly.”
I’d recommend using a little caution when following “Papa’s” drinking directions because this cocktail packs a punch, and three to five of these in a single day will hit you harder than a Hemingway metaphor!
Ingredients Needed
This is another great duo cocktail, meaning that there are only two ingredients required to make it:
Champagne
Absinthe
And that’s it!
Tips for Success
Since there are only two ingredients, it’s a pretty easy mix. However, there are a couple of hints that can make it a better drink.
Some ‘tips’ suggest adding the absinthe last and trying to ‘float’ it on top of the Champagne. But by the time it’s poured and served, the ingredients are all mixed anyway, so I suggest sticking with Hemingway’s directions.
Absinthe has always had an odd reputation. At one time it was said to be addictive or hallucinatory. In 1915, it was even banned in the U.S. and certain countries in Europe. Luckily it made a comeback and is enjoyed in many popular cocktails. But do yourself and others a favor and buy a name brand like Pernod. Yes, you’ll pay more money for it, but the taste and even the look are superior to lower quality spirits.

Open records requests reveal 64 of 66 Georgia counties have the same unsolved ‘Tennessee Error’ that caused seven scanners to miscount hundreds of ballots.
In a podcast episode released last week Thursday, David Cross and Kevin Moncla of the Election Oversight Group reveal that open records request from 64 of 66 Georgia counties show the same security error “QR code signature mismatch” and warning message “Ballot format or id is unrecognizable” that caused seven scanners to miscount hundreds of ballots in Williamson County, Tennessee.
The “Tennessee Error” is an “anomaly” discovered on Dominion’s Image Cast Precinct (ICP) Tabulators (also referred to as “scanners”) that occurred during a Williamson County election held on October 26, 2021….
This fits with Seth Keshel saying a lot of the ‘steal’ happens in conservative counties. Instead of wining by say +10 you only win by +3. Since you won locally, you do not look for fraud but a few hundred here, five hundred there and it changes the state and federal elections. NC for example has 100 counties.

Something is off about this upcoming election, and it smells like the Democrats are planning to steal it.
“Today in Georgia, a judge ruled that election officials have to certify results even if voter fraud is suspected,” @JesseBWatters reports.
…It is also no secret that both sides of the political aisle have long agreed that voting by mail-in ballot increases the likelihood of fraud. During a 2004 Congressional hearing, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-NY, said, “In my experience in New York, paper ballots are extremely susceptible to fraud. I could show you experience which would make your head spin.” Just two years ago in a legislative hearing in Austin, a prosecutor from South Texas (and registered Democrat) testified: “Any time you have ballots that are outside the polling location, you’re going to have fraud…I would never recommend everyone voting by mail – it invites fraud.”…
During the 2018 primary, an anonymous video surfaced that appears to show how easily a Houston-area campaign worker collected a ballot application and signature from a voter in less than 20 seconds. After providing her signature, the voter asked the worker, “Is this legal, what you’re doing?” The worker replied, “Yes, ma’am, we’ve done 400 already.”
Once mail ballots go out, harvesters show up at a voter’s door and offer “voting assistance.” They often appear friendly, and helpful. Successful vote harvesters leave with a voter’s signature and a ballot that is blank, that is “correctly” voted, or that can be modified later. Or the harvester can simply discard the ballot if the voter chose the “wrong” candidate. Done effectively, the process is largely invisible to the voter, who is led to believe their ballot was cast according to their wishes.
Because of tactics like these, my office has conducted over 300 investigations of mail-in ballot fraud. Our investigators have spoken with thousands of victims of mail ballot fraud over the years, and they commonly tell us they were pressured and harassed by campaign workers to sign up to vote by mail, vote a certain way, or hand over their ballots. The common denominator in mail ballot fraud is that the votes of the victims are cancelled and replaced by those of paid campaign workers. Every fraudulent vote disenfranchises a lawful voter by canceling out their lawful vote.
Politically-motivated groups want to scare us into allowing what amounts to unlimited vote by mail. In doing so, they are stealing your right to vote. Democrats distract the public with talk of foreign involvement in our elections while they are brazenly creating election interference themselves…..
There are a lot of older articles with Democrats screaming about election interference via mail in voting. I had it and then lost it and could not find it again. However I did find this more current information.
The Washington Postand News21 published a thorough analysis on Thursday of alleged voter fraud cases over the past four years in Arizona, Ohio, Georgia, Texas, and Kansas—five states where Republican politicians have argued that voting restrictions are necessary to prevent fraud. Predictably, the study confirmed the academic consensus that in-person voter fraud is simply not a problem: In none of these states over the past four years has a single person been caught impersonating another voter in order to cast an illegitimate ballot.
So much for in-person voter fraud. But does that mean voter fraud doesn’t exist at all? No. Voter fraud does happen—but it almost never occurs at the polls. Instead, as election law expert and occasional Slate contributor Rick Hasen has explained, voter fraud occurs through absentee ballots. The vast majority of voter fraud prosecutions touted by conservative groups like the Heritage Foundation involve absentee ballots that were illegally cast. And the only voting fraud schemes with the potential to actually swing elections involved mail-in ballots, not impersonation at the polls. (This makes sense: It’s much easier to forge a signature, impersonate a voter, or buy a vote in the privacy of one’s home than it is in a voting booth at the polls.)
On people being ‘set-up’ I can not find anything but I do remember people being warned to look at their state laws, NEVER confront a ballot mule and to keep their distance.

A lawsuit filed by Arizona Alliance for Retired Americans and Vote Latino alleges the private group, Clean Elections USA, and its founder Melody Jennings are attempting to “bully and intimidate lawful Arizona voters” casting early votes in the midterm elections…
For months it has been recruiting volunteers for drop box tailgate parties, where followers monitor ballot drop off locations for alleged fraud.
Jennings could not be reached for immediate comment.
The lawsuit was filed late on Monday in the U.S. District Court in Arizona.
Arizona’s secretary of state [who Kari Lake said wo last week asked the U.S. Department of Justice to probe a case of possible voter intimidation after a group of people linked to Clean Elections followed and filmed a voter dropping off a ballot.
The lawsuit cites that case, as well as an Oct. 22 post on Trump’s Truth Social media platform from Jennings in which she referred to two people described in the lawsuit as armed and wearing tactical gear while watching a drop box as “our people.”
Clean Elections USA is running a “coordinated campaign of vigilante voter intimidation” that violates the Voting Rights Act and the Klu Klux Klan Act, the lawsuit said….

….Hans von Spakovsky, one of the country’s leading experts on election integrity, said in an interview with Life Site News that voter fraud is real and that there are multiple examples of it in recent years.
“The reality is that we do unfortunately have election fraud occur in this country, and we also have mistakes and other problems occur in our system,” said von Spakovsky, who has written prolifically regarding campaign finance, voter fraud, voter ID laws and how federal voting rights laws must be enforced…
During his interview, von Spakovsky gave specific instances of election fraud. The most recent example of this occurred in the 2018 midterm elections, when Republican Mark Harris’ victory in the race for the ninth congressional district of North Carolina was voided because evidence surfaced of “concerted fraudulent activities related to absentee by-mail ballots.”The North Carolina State Board of Elections conducted a thorough investigation and concluded that a new election had to be called.
They found that ruthless political operatives had run a “coordinated, unlawful and substantially resourced absentee ballot scheme.”…
On August 20, 2024, we submitted a FOIA request for drop box video surveillance footage after being alerted to a potential election integrity concern during the primary election. We requested the footage from August 7th and 8th to verify the situation. Detroit immediately acknowledged our request on August 21st and asked for an extension to produce the footage. Then on September 16th, we received a response, letting us know that the footage was “automatically” deleted after 30 days. Deleting footage that is the subject of a pending FOIA request—submitted more than two weeks before the footage was deleted—is a clear violation of FOIA. Detroit had a clear legal obligation to preserve and provide the footage, which they violated. We are suing to hold the city accountable for its failure to maintain drop box footage while FOIA requests are pending and to ensure this does not happen for the general election.
November 2, 2021 – Elias led numerous lawsuits in 2020 to expand mail-in voting and represented the Biden campaign in the election aftermath.

2:30 to 7:30 Gregg: the 3rd week of January in 2021, my guys in Dallas called me to a meeting at a Hilton… they had rented a room and they were all sort of wierd and stuffed towels under the door… They pulled up on the screen, in essence a data base. And the data base had in it every bit of information you would want to know on 1.8 million Americans. Their Drivers licence number, their dates of birth, social security numbers, bank account numbers routing numbers for those banks, their addresses THEIR KIDS, pretty much everything you would want to know. Also the kids were in their and we knew that because the kids names were noted in all caps… We are going thru this and I am asking what is this? And this is 1.8 million election workers in America. But it was more than that. It was a lot more than that. So as we dug into it and spent the next 3 or 4 hours and breaking up just before dawn… We learned thru this discovery process that this company had COLLECTED ALL VOTING RELATED INFORMATION, not just about the workers, about the schematics for the buildings, the RFID codes on the equipment, anything you would want to know about an election, to run an election or administer an election was in this data base.
The Data base it’s self… explains how got into the data base using Binary Edge (5:17 – 6:15)…It would be startling enough to know that information… was on servers in America. You would be even more startled to know this server lives on the main Unicom backbone in China and it is in a Chinese University in Wuhan China…. I am not talking about this being a storage place for a data process here. The App server for this particular application was in China….
Gregg is introducing the people at the PIT to Konnech and Eugene Yu. The server not only contained info on Americans but also on Australians, Canadians, & Mexicans and they ultimately found out the CCP elections are on this same server. This confounded the local (Detroit) FBI counter intel team. Gregg says they were part of the on going FBI operation [Can you say set-up by FBI?] Later Gregg acknowledged that it was a set-up. At around 9 minutes to 11 minutes Gregg talks about Mungo DB and their password. How the system was so poorly written that it was wide open and allowed his guys to download all the data. He then goes into the Chinese Communist Credit Scores that ALSO IS APPLIED to AMERICANS. They have more info about Americans than anyone in the world. Gregg emphasizes they have info on just about EVERYONE in the USA. Also Gregg mentions Eugene Yu had his hands in mail-in vote counting software too.

January 25, 2024 – Eugene Yu, the owner of an election software company, was arrested in 2022 on charges of breaching election data. Those charges were dropped weeks later.

The Los Angeles DA allegedly dropped the criminal charges against Konnech CEO Eugene Yu because he was afraid of appearing to be aligned with President Trump, according to the prosecutor’s complaint.

Los Angeles County prosecutors allege “Chinese contractors” had “superadministration” access to “astounding” amounts of data in what is “probably the largest data breach in United States history.”
“Based on evidence recovered from a search warrant executed October 4, 2022, the District Attorney’s Office discovered that Konnech employees known and unknown sent personal identifying information of Los Angeles County election workers to third-party software developers who assisted with creating and fixing Konnech’s internal ‘PollChief’ software.”
Sam Faddis, retired CIA operations officer and renowned national security author, wrote in his Substack:
“An individual with super administration access to a system can do effectively anything inside that system. He or she can delete data, steal data, alter data, change programming, etc.

A network diagram is a digital roadmap that identifies data flow within an organization.

Victory is contagious. People are much more willing to take part in the game, if they think they are going to win. People commonly repeat “act like we are 10 points down”. How does that motivate the fence-sitters to go to the polls? This will make people feel defeated. People want to feel like their vote matters. Like they are a part of something significant. People want to win. If anything, I’d say this recent surge in Trump popularity and positivity is creating MORE Trump voters, because the stigma around Trump is dying. People are not afraid to openly support Trump anymore. The movement is infectious. Our confidence and vibes draw people towards us, and humans are naturally inclined to default towards the group. Liking Trump is cool now. Spreading positivity does not make us complacent. I think it’s really important for people to set aside their tribalism and admit when they were wrong. So I’ll go first. 4 years ago I thought conservatives were bad rich white corporate people who hated the poor. I hated Trump (I believed what Canadian media said about him) but I probably couldn’t tell you one single thing that he did wrong or didn’t do right. I pretended like I knew what I was talking about when it came to politics but the truth is all I cared about was not voting conservative. I had such strong opinions about it and maybe I even thought I had done my due diligence. But the truth is I would open up the political platform days before voting day and read between the liberal and NDP parties platform highlights and choose from there. I had NO IDEA and no business voting. I hated the churches and thought religious people were brainwashed. I felt superior in my spiritual practices as if I knew better than thousands of years of peaceful people gathering to worship Jesus. Meanwhile I was drinking, I was partying and filled with anxiety and depression while I did these bandaid eastern wisdom practices that temporarily fixed small problems. I thought the anti-vaxxer moms were crazy and uneducated. In 2019 I went to social justice trainings because that was the thing back then and this is where I started to wake up. Not only did it not make sense…..it so clearly made things worse. And then I woke up. Not all at once. Bit by bit. It started with the visceral feeling that the sometimes well meaning social justice trainings were manipulative and encouraging division and hatred over healing. Then the pandemic and how the media handled it. Then the illegal and corrupt actions of our government. Then the realization that these medicines were causing more hurt than harm. Then my deep dive into understanding politics, geopolitics and the world’s history. Then I met Jesus. And everything else spiralled into place after that. I didn’t just “switch teams” – I’m not on a team. I’m just very very aware of history, the inner workings of politics, how the medical system works and what I need to do to have a good life. I know what it’s like to be a good person who simply doesn’t pay attention to the world beyond the surface of what media shows. There are many of us now. Be patient with people. They can change.

Most people understand hope as wishful thinking, as in “I hope something will happen.” This is not what the Bible means by hope. The biblical definition of hope is “confident expectation.” Hope is a firm assurance regarding things that are unclear and unknown (Romans 8:24-25; Hebrews 11:1, 7). Hope is a fundamental component of the life of the righteous (Proverbs 23:18). Without hope, life loses its meaning (Lamentations 3:18; Job 7:6) and in death there is no hope (Isaiah 38:18; Job 17:15). The righteous who trust or put their hope in God will be helped (Psalm 28:7), and they will not be confounded, put to shame, or disappointed (Isaiah 49:23). The righteous, who have this trustful hope in God, have a general confidence in God’s protection and help (Jeremiah 29:11) and are free from fear and anxiety (Psalm 46:2-3).
The New Testament idea of hope is the recognition that in Christ is found the fulfillment of the Old Testament promises (Matthew 12:21, 1 Peter 1:3). Christian hope is rooted in faith in the divine salvation in Christ (Galatians 5:5). Hope of Christians is brought into being through the presence of the promised Holy Spirit (Romans 8:24-25). It is the future hope of the resurrection of the dead (Acts 23:6), the promises given to Israel (Acts 26:6-7), the redemption of the body and of the whole creation (Romans 8:23-25), eternal glory (Colossians 1:27), eternal life and the inheritance of the saints (Titus 3:5-7), the return of Christ (Titus 2:11-14), transformation into the likeness of Christ (1 John 3:2-3), the salvation of God (1 Timothy 4:10) or simply Christ Himself (1 Timothy 1:1).
The certainty of this blessed future is guaranteed through the indwelling of the Spirit (Romans 8:23-25), Christ in us (Colossians 1:27), and the resurrection of Christ (Acts 2:26). Hope is produced by endurance through suffering (Romans 5:2-5) and is the inspiration behind endurance (1 Thessalonians 1:3; Hebrews 6:11). Those who hope in Christ will see Christ exalted in life and in death (Philippians 1:20). Trustworthy promises from God give us hope (Hebrews 6:18-19), and we may boast in this hope (Hebrews 3:6) and exhibit great boldness in our faith (2 Corinthians 3:12). Along with faith and love, hope is an enduring virtue of the Christian life (1 Corinthians 13:13), and love springs from hope (Colossians 1:4-5). The attention is on gold for bursting through the $2700 line. And the FRNSI is now over 130. At what point does it become worthwhile to simply wipe your butt with dollar bills rather than lugging them around in your wallet? (Honestly, though, they aren’t absorbent enough…so probably, never.)
As I said the attention is on gold…but silver should not be neglected! It has gone up over two dollars over the past week, and (net) almost all of that was on Friday after four days of almost no net movement. It went up $2.03 on Friday or 6.4 percent. (Versus gold going up 1.05 percent on Friday) And you can see the effect in the Gold:Silver ratio. In terms of silver, gold dropped over three and a half ounces.
Even platinum went up more on a percentage basis Friday than did gold.

It’s the ratio of the current price of gold, to the number of dollars an ounce of fine gold made up when the dollar was defined as 25.8 grains of 0.900 gold. That worked out to an ounce being $20.67+71/387 of a cent. (Note gold wasn’t worth this much back then, thus much gold was $20.67 71/387ths. It’s a subtle distinction. One ounce of gold wasn’t worth $20.67 back then, it was $20.67.) Once this ratio is computed, 1 is subtracted from it so that the number is zero when the dollar is at its proper value, indicating zero suckage.
Flat Earther Influencers are Mostly Lying Sacks of Shit
The Final Experiment continues to make waves in the Flat Earth Community.

After years of happily saying that a 24 hour sun in Antarctica during southern summer (with it doing a 360 around the viewer over the course of a day) would disprove the Flat Earth viewpoint, but then saying “yeah but you can’t go to Antarctica” or flatly asserting that the sun does set in Antarctica, and furthermore that they’d love to go to Antarctica and see…
They’re for the most part refusing to go take a look. Everything from whining about how they’d have to deal with globe-earth “trolls” on the trip to…well, I don’t know what other rationales they have. There are three, maybe four going. (Four is if you count Candace Owens’ producer.)
Plenty of globe earthers are going, and at least a couple of them have vowed to take down their content and replace it with a video stating that the Earth is flat…if the sun sets during the five days they are at 79+ degrees south latitude.
Meanwhile other flerfers have begged the three that are going, not to go, or have already accused them of being shills. (Interesting. Before they even report back what they have seen, they are already bought off shills. Almost as if the accusers already know they will be reporting back that the Sun did not set!
One would think that if the flerfers are so confident of their position, they would positively relish the prospect of their final victory over the globers, as they point to the twighlight and say “So, Dave, where’s the sun?!?!” as they film McKeegan’s humiliation for their own channels!
That is how they would behave if they were really thinking of themselves as people with some special insight who have had their viewpoint put down and suppressed; they would love to have their day in the court of the brute fact that the sun went down in Antarctica during Antarctic summer.
Instead, with the exception of those who are actually going on the trip, they are acting like knowing con-men whose jig is about to be up.
Those reading this who have accepted the flerfer claims might just want to think about that. That should speak louder to you than all their shitty geometry, bogus astronomy, and physics claims which (let’s face it) should not have fooled any educated adult. The sad, blunt truth of the matter is that you have been suckered.
