2023·09·16 Joe Biden Didn’t Win Daily Thread

Speaker Dungsmear? Or?

McCarthy 2.0 seems a vast improvement over Speaker Dungsmear. So here’s the question. Was he once a conservative with a little fire in the belly that got captured by the system and now is finding the bellyfire again? Or is this all completely under duress?

For the moment, it doesn’t matter which one. But some day it will matter, and we will have our answer.

On that note he does seem to be standing up to the press a little better this week, having an interchange with some presstitute about the Biden impeachment enquiry.

RINOs an Endangered Species?
If Only!

According to Wikipoo, et. al., the Northern White Rhinoceros (Ceratotherium simum cottoni) is a critically endangered species. Apparently two females live on a wildlife preserve in Sudan, and no males are known to be alive. So basically, this species is dead as soon as the females die of old age. Presently they are watched over by armed guards 24/7.

Biologists have been trying to cross them with the other subspecies, Southern White Rhinoceroses (Rhinoceri?) without success; and some genetic analyses suggest that perhaps they aren’t two subspecies at all, but two distinct species, which would make the whole project a lot more difficult.

I should hope if the American RINO (Parasitus rectum pseudoconservativum) is ever this endangered, there will be heroic efforts not to save the species, but rather to push the remainder off a cliff. Onto punji sticks. With feces smeared on them. Failing that a good bath in red fuming nitric acid will do.

But I’m not done ranting about RINOs.

The RINOs (if they are capable of any introspection whatsoever) probably wonder why they constantly have to deal with “populist” eruptions like the Trump-led MAGA movement. That would be because the so-called populists stand for absolutely nothing except for going along to get along. That allows the Left to drive the culture and politics.

Given the results of our most recent elections, the Left will now push harder, and the RINOs will now turn even squishier than they were before.

I well remember 1989-1990 in my state when the RINO establishment started preaching the message that a conservative simply couldn’t win in Colorado. Never mind the fact that Reagan had won the state TWICE (in 1984 bringing in a veto-proof state house and senate with him) and GHWB had won after (falsely!) assuring everyone that a vote for him was a vote for Reagan’s third term.

This is how the RINOs function. They push, push, push the line that only a “moderate” can get elected. Stomp them when they pull that shit. Tell everyone in ear shot that that’s exactly what the Left wants you to think, and oh-by-the-way-Mister-RINO if you’re in this party selling the same message as the Left…well, whythefuckexactly are you in this party, you lying piece of rancid weasel shit?

In Defense of Ranked Choice Voting

One of the biggest obstacles to direly-needed change is RINOs, and one of the weapons in their arsenal is the “Wasted Vote” argument.

Periodically a third party has arisen, trying to hold RINOs to account by putting pressure on them from outside of the party, since doing so from the inside has historically done very little good. But, even if you find a third party candidate who perfectly reflects your views, you’re likely to vote for the RINO anyway. Why? Because if you don’t, the Democrat might win, and that would be even worse. So if you vote for that third party (that few will vote for), you’re throwing your vote away and increasing the likelihood of the Democrat winning. (It’s half as much a gain for the Democrat, as actually voting for the Democrat would be. Not as much, but half as much. Because although you denied the R your vote, you did not flip your vote to the Democrat.)

The Republican Party Establishment knows you don’t love them. But they know you hate the Democrats worse, and they use that to continue to herd you into supporting them. With gritted teeth you cast your vote, but your vote counts the same whether you cast it enthusiastically. And the other alternative, pissing on the voting apparatus to express your actual feelings, is probably a felony.

But what if you could vote for that third party without increasing the chances of the Dem walking away with the prize?

This is what ranked choice voting, or instant runoff voting, can do provided it is properly implemented. (And this includes the votes, and only genuine votes, being counted honestly, of course. However, I’m going to compare it to what we have today, and pretend that is honestly done too. RCV can’t work if it’s not honestly administered, just like our current system isn’t working because it isn’t honestly administered.)

The idea behind RCV is to vote by expressing your order of preference. You could vote for the Patriot Party, then for the RINO Party as your second choice (and ignore the Democrat, the Green, the Overt Socialist Schmuckmonkey Party, etc).

What does this do? It nullifies the wasted vote argument. Your vote will be counted for the Patriot party, first, then instead of it being “wasted” when the Patriot Party loses, it ends up going to the RINO. Actually, it’s just barely possible that the Patriot Party would actually beat the RINO, if people weren’t all individually afraid to vote for it.

It’s just like the famous “Prisoner’s Dilemma” where your fear of other peoples’ actions prevents you from doing the optimal thing–and vice-versa. As long as Job Lowe is afraid to vote Patriot because he’s afraid you’ll vote RINO, you’ll have to vote RINO because you fear that Job Lowe will, because he fears you will.

So on the whole I like RCV. It gives you a no-risk way to vote against the RINO scum, and in favor of someone who deserves your vote.

The problem is, as done here in the US, it comes packaged with a “jungle primary.” A bunch of candidates get to put their name out there, and the top four (or so) candidates get onto the “main” ballot. This gives party establishments their way around the threat of a good third party bumping them off. Because they know that few people bother with primaries, and third parties don’t have the resources to run in a primary…so they throw two or three establishment hacks into the primary and they will probably beat the third party. The result is the RINOs end up with two of the four slots in the general election, and the Dems get the other two. Now there’s suddenly no third party candidate on the ballot at all.

If we were to combine RCV with the present system where each party could nominate exactly one candidate to appear on the November ballot, or at the very least, ensure minor parties could get onto the ballot with at least one candidate regardless of the primary, we would be getting somewhere, but the establishment is smarter than we like to give them credit for. They will support the jungle primary + RCV “solution” rather than the more appropriate one-candidate-per-party + RCV solution.

It’s not RCV that is the problem, it’s the primary structure grafted onto it.

Justice

It says “Justice” on the picture.

And I’m sure someone will post the standard joke about what the fish thinks about the situation.

But what is it?

Here’s a take, from a different context: It’s about how you do justice, not the justice that must be done to our massively corrupt government and media. You must properly identify the nature of a person, before you can do him justice.

Ayn Rand, On Justice (speaking through her character John Galt, in Atlas Shrugged):

Justice is the recognition of the fact that you cannot fake the character of men as you cannot fake the character of nature, that you must judge all men as conscientiously as you judge inanimate objects, with the same respect for truth, with the same incorruptible vision, by as pure and as rational a process of identification—that every man must be judged for what he is and treated accordingly, that just as you do not pay a higher price for a rusty chunk of scrap than for a piece of shining metal, so you do not value a rotter above a hero—that your moral appraisal is the coin paying men for their virtues or vices, and this payment demands of you as scrupulous an honor as you bring to financial transactions—that to withhold your contempt from men’s vices is an act of moral counterfeiting, and to withhold your admiration from their virtues is an act of moral embezzlement—that to place any other concern higher than justice is to devaluate your moral currency and defraud the good in favor of the evil, since only the good can lose by a default of justice and only the evil can profit—and that the bottom of the pit at the end of that road, the act of moral bankruptcy, is to punish men for their virtues and reward them for their vices, that that is the collapse to full depravity, the Black Mass of the worship of death, the dedication of your consciousness to the destruction of existence.

Ayn Rand identified seven virtues, chief among them rationality. The other six, including justice, she considered subsidiary because they are essentially different aspects and applications of rationality.

—Ayn Rand Lexicon (aynrandlexicon.com)

Justice Must Be Done.

Trump, it is supposed, had some documents.

Biden and company stole the country.

I’m sure enough of this that I put my money where my mouth is.

The prior election must be acknowledged as fraudulent, and steps must be taken to prosecute the fraudsters and restore integrity to the system. (This doesn’t necessarily include deposing Joe and Hoe and putting Trump where he belongs, but it would certainly be a lot easier to fix our broken electoral system with the right people in charge.)

Nothing else matters at this point. Talking about trying again in 2024 or 2026 is pointless otherwise. Which is not to say one must never talk about this, but rather that one must account for this in ones planning; if fixing the fraud in the system is not part of the plan, you have no plan.

This will necessarily be piecemeal, state by state, which is why I am encouraged by those states working to change their laws to alleviate the fraud both via computer and via bogus voters. If enough states do that we might end up with a working majority in Congress and that would be something Trump never really had.

Lawyer Appeasement Section

OK now for the fine print.

This is the WQTH Daily Thread. You know the drill. There’s no Poltical correctness, but civility is a requirement. There are Important Guidelines,  here, with an addendum on 20191110.

We have a new board – called The U Tree – where people can take each other to the woodshed without fear of censorship or moderation.

And remember Wheatie’s Rules:

1. No food fights
2. No running with scissors.
3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.
4. Zeroth rule of gun safety: Don’t let the government get your guns.
5. Rule one of gun safety: The gun is always loaded.
5a. If you actually want the gun to be loaded, like because you’re checking out a bump in the night, then it’s empty.
6. Rule two of gun safety: Never point the gun at anything you’re not willing to destroy.
7. Rule three: Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
8. Rule the fourth: Be sure of your target and what is behind it.

(Hmm a few extras seem to have crept in.)

China is in the White House, because Joe Biden is in the White House, and Joe Biden is identically equal to China. China is Asshoe. Therefore, Joe Biden is Asshoe.

Julie Kelly:

Not a lot to celebrate related to American jurisprudence these days–so soak this in.

Verdicts announced in case of 3 men charged in Whitmer fednapping hoax. God bless this jury.

The men wept as the verdicts were read. About 4 minutes long.

scott467

“The men wept as the verdicts were read.”

_____________

They shouldn’t be weeping, they should be furious that their corrupt totalitarian gov’t did this to them, and they should be pressing charges and filing lawsuits and using every method available to destroy this disgusting abomination of a system.

scott467

Make exposing Witchmer a full time occupation, shine the spotlight on every single move she makes.

No one that evil and corrupt can withstand that kind of scrutiny.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Was Whitmer at all involved in the FBI’s criminal framing of these men?

scott467

How she could not be?

Not the set-up or planning the operation, but they’re all on the same team, the Hate America team.

It’s Team Hate America vs. Americans, there is no third-party team on the playing field. So if they didn’t set themselves up, then they were set-up by Team Hate America, and she’s on that team.

And as every scrap of information is painstakingly dripped out about every criminal act our government does, we continually find out they talk openly and freely to each other about their evil deeds, like people who don’t have a care in the world.

And how would FIB keep the operation secret from her, if she was ever, at any point, in any danger, at all?

And if she never was in any danger, then what crime was committed?

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Freedom of information request! Why was this bogus set-up pursued?

Yes, Whitmer knew.FTA: “Court watcher Julie Kelly said Whitmer was in on the FBI operation and was never in danger because it was the feds’ plot all along.

“Whitmer knew for months. Her office coordinated with the FBI on “recon trips” to her cottage (targets driven there by FBI assets) and FBI installed pole cameras on her property to capture evidence.”

You’re welcome! The Whitmer and Northam ruses are rather upsetting. I had to write a long rant but shelved it for now. Whether you know how the FIB is organized internally or not, the evil is clear to us all.

Yes, but I will “allow” them their moments of intense relief. The totalitarian government could have thrown them in prison. That’s what they it was trying to do. I bet they will press charges and file lawsuits before long. At least I hope so.

Something has to be done about FIB framing people.

You go after the INDIVIDUAL AGENTS. Someone came up with the idea and you want to sue the pants of ALL of those involved but NOT the FIB.

Yes that is it.

Bringing this forward from late last night.

‘And this was related to a separate FBI plan to entrap a disabled Vietnam veteran in Virginia to do the same for Gov. Ralph Northam.’”

The derp state is using psychology to their advantage. It’s the ultimate Karen challenge. If someone seems Trumpish..turn them in and let the authorities sort it out.

I am not sure there is a civil rights violation.

If there is one, it would be hard to prove. IMO.

“Churches will suffer because of trust issues.”

Can’t even begin to imagine where any church has found Scriptural Authority to receive money from the government.

You can always figure out how churches have been corrupted by following the money, and simply reading what God’s Word actually says regarding the pattern and example for His church.

It’s so simple.

Like reading a recipe book.

If it says do A, B and C, then do A, B and C.

If it says nothing at all about ‘D’, then don’t do ‘D’.

It ain’t rocket surgery.

“Anyone accused of a crime in this country is entitled to a jury trial.”

The Constitution may say so but, in fact, this is simply not the case — and becoming less so as politicians fiddle with legal definitions and sentencing standards in order specifically to reduce the number of persons entitled to a trial….

….As Thomas Jefferson put it to Tom Paine in a 1789 letter, “I consider trial by jury as the only anchor ever yet imagined by man, by which a government can be held to the principles of its constitution.” ….

http://prorev.com/juries.htm

SEPTEMBER 30, 2007
WHAT JUDGES & LAWYERS WON’T TELL YOU ABOUT JURIES

…On appeal, however, the jurors’ action was upheld and the right of juries to judge both the law and the facts — to nullify the law if it chose

— became part of British constitutional law.

It ultimately became part of American constitutional law as well, With only a few exceptions, juries are explicitly or implicitly told to worry only about the facts and let the judge decide the law. The right of jury nullification has become one of the legal system’s best kept secrets.

Now a remarkable coalition has sprung up to challenge this secrecy as undemocratic, unconstitutional and dangerous…

FIJA seeks to require that juries be informed of their nullification rights. Informed jury amendments have been filed as an initiative in seven states and legislation has been introduced in the Alaska state legislature.

Merely raising the issue of nullification can make prosecutors nervous, for it takes only one person aware of the right in order to hang a jury. In Washington, DC, where the concept was discussed in connection with the Marion Barry trial, a local television station reported that the US Attorney was worried that a jury might nullify the law in that case……

Far from being an unintended side-effect, jury nullification is explicitly authorized in the constitutions of 24 states.

…There is no doubt that jury nullification was one of the rights and powers that the people were exercising in 1791 when the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution was adopted. As legal historian Lawrence Friedman has written:

In American legal theory, jury-power was enormous, and subject to few controls. There was a maxim of law that the jury was judge both of law and of fact in criminal cases. This idea was particularly strong in the first revolutionary generation when memories of royal justice were fresh.

Jury nullification is therefore one of the “rights retained by the people” in the Ninth Amendment.

And it is one of the “powers reserved to the people” in the Tenth Amendment.

𝗝𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲’𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘃𝗲𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺.

The jury vote is the only time the people ever vote on the application of a real law in real life. All other votes are for hypotheticals.

http://www.fija.org/docs/JG_state_language_on_jury_nullification.pdf

One way to fight back are Citizen Grand Juries. State and Local Law’s over lap in many areas and Citizens have rights that are being trampled upon. The Feds are using the law against us to delay decisions and punish us knowing that the long process of the law will wear us thin and make us impotent. We can do the same to them.
https://newswithviews.com/fight-back-with-the-american-peoples-citizen-grand-jury/

Under the above named U. S. Supreme Court decision, the citizen grand jury can investigate ANY alleged criminal wrongdoing, even if it is just a suspicion of wrongdoing. That could include, but not limited to, alleged criminal offenses by corrupt politicians, or bureaucrats, or criminal wrongdoing by private individuals, or large groups of individuals, whether they be American citizens, or foreign nationals…

𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗝𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝘆𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘆

“Nothing in the Constitution has given them [the federal judges] a right to decide for the Executive, more than to the Executive to decide for them. . . . The opinion which gives to the judges the right to decide what laws are constitutional and what not, not only for themselves, in their own sphere of action, but for the Legislature and Executive also in their spheres, would make the Judiciary a despotic branch.” (Letter to Abigail Adams, September 11, 1804)

“The original error [was in] establishing a judiciary independent of the nation, and which, from the citadel of the law, can turn its guns on those they were meant to defend, and control and fashion their proceedings to its own will.” (Letter to John Wayles Eppes, 1807)

“Our Constitution . . . intending to establish three departments, co-ordinate and independent that they might check and balance one another, it has given—according to this opinion to one of them alone the right to prescribe rules for the government of others; and to that one, too, which is unelected by and independent of the nation. . . . The Constitution, on this hypothesis, is a mere thing of wax in the hands of the judiciary, which they may twist and shape into any form they please.” (Letter to Judge Spencer Roane, Sept. 6, 1819)

“You seem . . . to consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions; a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy. Our judges are as honest as other men, and not more so . . . and their power [is] the more dangerous, as they are in office for life and not responsible, as the other functionaries are, to the elective control. The Constitution has erected no such single tribunal, knowing that to whatever hands confided, with corruptions of time and party, its members would become despots.” (Letter to William Jarvis, Sept. 28, 1820)

“The judiciary of the United States is the subtle corps of sappers and miners constantly working under ground to undermine the foundations of our confederated fabric. They are construing our constitution from a co-ordination of a general and special government to a general and supreme one alone. This will lay all things at their feet, and they are too well versed in English law to forget the maxim, ‘boni judicis est ampliare jurisdictionem’ [good judges have ample jurisdiction]. . . . A judiciary independent of a king or executive alone, is a good thing; but independence of the will of the nation is a solecism, at least in a republican government.” (Letter to Thomas Ritchie, Dec. 25, 1820)

The 6th and 11th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and Article 3 Section 2 give US citizens the right to a trial. As Joan Biskupic stated

For some reason, the copblock website hangs up on me. I tried to search for jury nullification in their search box, but I just get the hourglass symbol in the tab and nothing happens.

I tried a couple of links on the home page, and they won’t open either.

A British response:

British printmakers who sympathized with the American cause often depicted America as an Indian maiden, but those who regarded Americans as dangerous traitors adopted the rattlesnake as a visual metaphor for America’s venomous disloyalty, cunning and deceit. In this satirical etching published during the peace negotiations in the fall of 1782, the American rattlesnake offers his French ally a basket of freshly caught frogs.

O Britons be wise

And part these Allies,

Or drive them both into the Bogs;

I think it is fit,

It’s funny; a lot depends on where in the country people are from I think.

My family was all up in the hollers of the Appalachians and not in the cities. So when people got married, it was to another holler family. And those families all got here before the Revolution. Every line of my family I trace got here by about 1740. The earliest direct line ancestors of mine arrived in Jamestown in 1611 or so. The ones who came before June 1616 are called Ancient Planters. Both the husband and the wife of my line are named. They have a REALLY cool story, with a Christian Indian boy who helped them save Jamestown from being destroyed in an Indian attack. Here is a link if you want to read it:

There is an “Order of Descendants of Ancient Planters” I suppose I could join if I did stuff like that!

Mike Lee wrote a long, revealing thread about how the budget process works in Washington. I note that McCarthy is included as part of the problem. Not a surprise, but the confirmaiton is interesting.

https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1702506615092715658.html

1.The law firm of Schumer, McConnell, McCarthy, & Jeffries (“The Firm”) has learned that members of Congress (and voters) don’t like “omnibus” spending bills—that is, legislative proposals that fund all of the functions of the federal government in a single, consolidated bill.

2.This presents a challenge for The Firm, which has for years used omnibus spending bills to manipulate the legislative process. Before we address The Firm’s latest challenge and how it’s responding, let’s first review a few of the basic dynamics at play here.

3. An omnibus spending bill is typically written by The Firm in secret, with assistance from a few “appropriators” (members of the House and Senate spending or “appropriations” committees), hand-picked by The Firm.

4.Once written, an omnibus will first be seen by the public—and even by nearly every member of Congress—only days or hours before a scheduled shutdown.

5.The timing and sequence of a typical omnibus, carefully orchestrated by The Firm, all but ensures that it will pass without substantive changes once it becomes public, and that very few elected, federal lawmakers will have meaningful input in this highly secretive process.

6.At the same time, the fast (almost mindless) flurry of legislative action at the end of this legislative charade gives it the false appearance of democratic legitimacy.

7.Sometimes that appearance is enhanced by The Firm deciding to let members vote on a small handful of amendments, but The Firm persuades enough members into opposing amendments that make substantial changes to the original, sacred text drafted by The Firm.

8.What’s stunning here is that loyalties within The Firm seem to run deeper than those within each party. In light of that phenomenon, some observers have described the force uniting support for The Firm’s omnibus bills as “the Uniparty.” While members of both parties are adversely affected by The Firm’s manipulative tactics, there is far more resentment toward The Firm among Republicans, who see two constants in The Firm’s impact: (1) government spending inexorably grows, and (2) the spending bills advanced by The Firm tend to unite Democrats while sharply dividing Republicans, producing a net gain for Democrats. While exceptions can occasionally be found, Republican appropriators are notorious for wanting to spend—far more than they want to advance Republican policy priorities, deeply endearing them to The Firm.

9.Sure, all members of Congress get to vote on the bill’s ultimate passage. But passage is all but assured. The Firm tells members that they MUST pass it—even though they haven’t seen it, read it, or had time to debate or amend it—because if they don’t, there will be a government shutdown.

10.The Firm also makes clear that members voting against the omnibus will be blamed—by The Firm itself—for the shutdown and its ugly consequences.

11.Thus, although voters in every state elect people to Congress to represent them in all federal legislative endeavors, The Firm can (and often does) render their individual involvement in the spending process far less meaningful than it should be.

There is a lot more info about how things work. Continued…

TheseTruths

29. One Republican senator in particular, Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson, remained concerned that any agreement would benefit The Firm and far more than it would advance Republican priorities. On that basis, he objected.

30. The Firm wasn’t happy. Making its displeasure known, The Firm and its cheerleaders tried to blame @RonJohnsonWI for the Senate’s inability to restore what’s known as “regular order,” that is, the process by which each of the twelve appropriations bills is supposed to advance independently, and in a way that honors each member’s procedural rights by allowing an “open amendment process.” @RonJohnsonWI

31. Here’s the irony: what The Firm was proposing was NOT “regular order.” Far from it, it was a slightly different flavor of The Firm’s tried-and-true manipulation formula.

32. Because @SenRonJohnson courageously objected, shortly after the Senate voted to proceed to the House-passed MilConVA bill, the Senate may now proceed to “regular order” consideration of that bill—unencumbered by The Firm’s manipulative plan to subject the Senate to an unending series of omnibus (or omnibus-like) bills that The Firm can ram through both chambers with minimal interference from rank-and-file members.

@RonJohnsonWI @SenRonJohnson

33. @SenRonJohnson deserves credit for standing on principle, and should be thanked for his dedication.

@RonJohnsonWI @SenRonJohnson

34. Together, we can fix this process, which has created so many problems for the American people. But to do that, we have to push back against The Firm.

Because charities love to do this so they can just pay their “contribution” back to themselves as “salaries” and only give the peoples money away, while they get all the fame and ad revenue and so on of course and peoples attention and red carpet walks of glory. get it yet?

“So, we thought, $10 million, we start off the fun, we’ll do what Dolly did, get other people to give money and then we’ll put it directly into the people’s bank accounts.” “I was so excited about it, and then I got up the next morning, and I saw all of this vitriol and I was like, ‘Whoa, what happened here?’””

‘Statistically Significant Increase’ In Myopericarditis And Single Organ Cutaneous Vasculitis Found After COVID-19 Vaccination

Authored by Megan Redshaw via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours),

A large nationwide study of more than 4 million people in New Zealand identified a statistically significant association in two adverse events following vaccination with Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.

Details follow about how the study was conducted and what the findings were. Then this:

Researchers Conclude Benefits of Vaccines Still Outweigh Risks

Despite the increased risk of myopericarditis observed during the study, researchers said the risk of myocarditis following SARS-CoV-2 infection is “substantially greater” than after COVID-19 mRNA vaccination, leading them to conclude the benefits of vaccination still outweigh the risks from the disease.

I have never seen it asserted before that there is risk of myocarditis from COVID, let alone that that risk would be greater than that from the vaccines. This is incredible disinformation.

Yet experts acknowledge that myocarditis caused by a natural viral infection differs from that triggered by mRNA COVID-19 vaccination. As previously reported by The Epoch Times, although COVID-19 can cause myocarditis, the myocarditis developed by a healthy young person post-infection is extremely mild compared to the onset of myocarditis following COVID-19 vaccination.

According to pediatric cardiologist Dr. Kirk Milhoan, myocarditis caused by the COVID-19 vaccine differs from viral myocarditis because an infection of the heart isn’t causing the damage. It’s being damaged by the “spike protein that’s cardiotoxic to the heart,” which causes inflammation in the three main vessels of the heart by a different process.

“There’s a difference between the body encountering a virus naturally that causes myocarditis and actively giving the body something we know causes harm,” Dr. Milhoan told The Epoch Times.

The New Zealand study adds to a growing body of evidence showing mRNA COVID-19 vaccination can trigger heart inflammatory conditions in young people.

Everyone’s blaming Corey Lewandowski for the Rob Porter scandal — because he still had ‘raw feelings’ for Hope Hicks and thought he should ‘control’ her

Eliza Relman 20 mrt 2018

  • Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski may have helped expose allegations that former White House staff secretary Rob Porter abused his two ex-wives.
  • These charges are enhanced by new reporting in New York Magazine writer Olivia Nuzzi’s Sunday profile of outgoing White House communications director Hope Hicks.
  • Lewandowski was reportedly motivated in part by his “unusual preoccupation” with Hicks, a former flame who was in a relationship with Porter when the allegations were exposed.

“Corey Lewandowski, a former top Trump campaign aide, may have helped expose allegations that former White House staff secretary Rob Porter abused his two ex-wives, a charge enhanced by new reporting in New York Magazine writer Olivia Nuzzi’s Sunday profile of outgoing White House communications director Hope Hicks.

Nuzzi’s sources said that Lewandowski, who was fired from the campaign after allegedly grabbing a female reporter by the arm, was motivated in part by his “unusual preoccupation” with Hicks, who he used to date and who was in a relationship with Porter when the publication of the abuse accusations forced him to resign.”

I certainly hope not. I tend to think he’s a patriot who doesn’t have his priorities in order and who lacks maturity, good judgment, and moral fiber. WH won’t decouple relief funds for Hawaii or areas affected by Idalia from ukraine slush fund
FTA
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters at a White House press briefing a week ago Wednesday that the Biden administration will not decouple billions of taxpayer dollars going to Ukraine from relief funding for American victims of Hurricane Idalia in Florida and the wildfire on Maui which destroyed the town of Lahaina, in Hawaii. And nobody seems to care, least of all the mainstream media.

In response to a question from a reporter, according to The Blaze, she replied:

“Look, we see them both as incredibly important. I just laid out at the top what we saw happen in Ukraine: 16 civilians died.”

Yes, and at least 115 died in the Lahaina fire, and more are still missing. Hurricane Idalia killed three and caused many billions of dollars in damage. Both of those disasters afflicted Americans, and still Biden stuck to his “America Last” policy. I’m certain, however, that if fires and/or hurricanes ravaged Washington, D.C., Democrats would put forth numerous stand-alone spending bills to take care of their own. And probably take legal action against the fire and/or the hurricane for attempted insurrection.

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2023/09/biden_refuses_to_decouple_lahaina_and_hurricane_idalia_disaster_aid_from_ukraine_war_funding_aid_in_budget_battle.html

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

“Honestly, with Musk at the helm, Twitter is usable for the first election cycle since 2016. Will things get incrementally worse for the next few months? Likely. Will Musk have to make deals to keep SpaceX and/or Starlink up and running? Likely also yes.

But don’t think for a second that Nostr or Truth Social or Gab are going to be anything other than digital ghettos that Davos and the ADL are happily opening up to you to retain your purity while limiting your voice even more than you could imagine.

The battleground of ideas is where the normies are. They are on Twitter/X. Your tools are your presentation and how you walk the line. Getting around Yaccarino’s limits on your reach are child’s play.

Chicago, Illinois.

Mayor Brandon Johnson announced the authorities’ initiative to open state department stores in place of closed retail chains.

Due to widespread looting in April, Walmart closed four of its remaining eight Chicago stores. Earlier, Walgreens and Aldi also closed stores in Chicago.

State department stores will be financed from the state budget, in other words, from taxpayers’ money. As of September, the city’s budget deficit reached $500 million.

I miss comedy and humor.

Humor is not possible in an Orwellian or totalitarian state, because humor is an occasion for someone to take offense, and if one is virtuous enough to take offense, one can be even more virtuous by snitching on, canceling or otherwise doing harm to the one who caused ‘offense’ and to anyone who appeared to take pleasure in the ‘offense’ by laughing.

So comedy must die in a totalitarian state, and it certainly has died in the West.

Certainly that’s by design of the handful of dipshit misanthropes we continue to allow to destroy the world, for reasons which are not readily apparent.

Humor changes but there is humor just more sarcastic and double talk.

Happy Birthday, Samuel Adams! 🎉🇺🇸

On September 16, 1722, Samuel Adams was born. He would be a pre-eminent leader of the Boston revolutionaries, sign the Declaration of Independence and the Articles of Confederation and be called the “Firebrand of the American Revolution.”

Samuel Adams was born into a wealthy Puritan Boston family. He was educated at Harvard and went into business after graduating. After several attempts at business failed, Adams found his real success in politics. In 1747, he was elected to his first political office as a clerk for Boston Market…

In the decade leading up to the Revolution, Adams was a member of the House of Representatives and served as that body’s clerk, giving him a great deal of influence. Adams became one of the leading voices against Parliamentary overreach in Boston and was closely associated with other patriotic figures such as James Otis, John Hancock and his second cousin, John Adams.

Adams wrote the “Massachusetts Circular Letter” in response to the Townshend Acts, which placed taxes on various items, in 1768. The letter was sent by the House of Representatives to the other colonies, asking them to join in challenging the Townshend Acts. The British responded by dissolving the legislatures of Massachusetts and any other colonies that supported the letter.

Bostonians resisted the taxes of the Townshend Acts and Parliament occupied the city with soldiers, leading to the Boston Massacre. Adams published numerous letters and articles denouncing British policies and called for the mass meeting of citizens that led to the Boston Tea Party. Adams helped organize the boycott of British goods and helped create the Committees of Correspondence which kept the colonies in contact with one another.

In 1774, Adams was sent to the Continental Congress, where he served continually for the next 7 years. While in Congress, Adams was a leading advocate of American independence from early on. He served on numerous committees, especially those dealing with military matters. He signed the Declaration of Independence and served on the committee that wrote the Articles of Confederation, America’s first governing document.

In 1779, Adams helped write the Massachusetts Constitution with John Adams and James Bowdoin. He returned to Massachusetts politics for good in 1781 and served often as the moderator of the Boston Town Meeting. He served in the state Senate and helped promote public schools in Boston, even for girls. Adams was originally against the US Constitution, thinking it gave too much power to the federal government, but he supported it after the promise was made to include a bill of rights. He voted to support the Constitution at the Massachusetts ratifying convention in 1788.

Adams was elected lieutenant-governor of Massachusetts in 1789 and served in this position until the death of Governor John Hancock in 1793. Adams was then elected to the governorship annually for the next 4 years, after which he retired from public life. Samuel Adams died on October 2, 1803 and was buried in the Granary Burying Ground in Boston.

Natural living. He was born 301 years ago.

Aubergine

True story. I have some REALLY old ancestors in my lines. Oldest I know of lived to 104. He was in his own home with his wife (in her nineties) in the 1840 census. They had kids nearby.

It is a MYTH that we live longer than in the past. Once people were past the childhood illnesses, life expectancy was about the same. And it’s in the Bible, too:

Psalm 90:10

The days of our lives are seventy years;
And if by reason of strength they are eighty years,
Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow;
For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

scott467

Hardly seems long enough to figure anything out, and if you do, you’re probably too old to make application.

Methuselah didn’t even have his first child until he was 187.

That’s enough time to pay off the 30-year mortgage on 6 starter homes, set aside enough money to let your investments work for you, and take every course available at the community college.

Then he had another 782 years to enjoy the fruits of his labor. That’s enough time to accumulate some real wisdom, and actually have time to put it to good use.

………………………..
“And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech: [26] And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters: [27] And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.” (Genesis 5:25-27, KJV)

Lauren Boebert Apologizes After Theater Surveillance Video Shows Her Vaping and Getting Frisky With Her Date Before Being Kicked Out of Beetlejuice Performance
She had to apologize because she got caught. Her apology rings hollow with me. IMO this part is so unbelievable as to be pathetic, (emphasis mine):

“Whether it was the excitement of seeing a much-anticipated production or the natural anxiety of being in a new environment, I genuinely did not recall vaping that evening when I discussed the night’s events with my campaign team while confirming my enthusiasm for the musical. Regardless of my belief, it’s clear now that was not accurate; it was not my or my campaign’s intention to mislead, but we do understand the nature of how this looks. We know we will have to work to earn your trust back and it may not happen overnight, but we will do it.”

Full statement here. He will be interviewed by Tucker Carlson next week.

Today, the truth prevailed. The truth could not be buried by mudslinging politicians or their powerful benefactors. I’ve said many times: Seek the truth! And that is what was accomplished.

I thank the 4.2 million Texans who voted for me last year. I will always be grateful for your support, and I will continue to honor your vote by defending the rule of law and our constitutional rights. I’m also grateful for the state senators who followed the law and refused to overturn an election. I also thank my legal team for exposing the absurdity of these false allegations.

Most importantly, I want to thank my amazing wife Angela, who I love dearly. She is a brave woman of deep faith, unquestionable integrity, and the light of our entire family.

The sham impeachment coordinated by the Biden Administration with liberal House Speaker Dade Phelan and his kangaroo court has cost taxpayers millions of dollars, disrupted the work of the Office of Attorney General and left a dark and permanent stain on the Texas House.

The weaponization of the impeachment process to settle political differences is not only wrong, it is immoral and corrupt.

Now that this shameful process is over, my work to defend our constitutional rights will resume.

Thank you to everyone who has stood with us during this time.

Finally, I can promise the Biden Administration the following: buckle up because your lawless policies will not go unchallenged. We will not allow you to shred the constitution and infringe on the rights of Texans. You will be held accountable.

I will next address the nation and Texas on Tucker Carlson next week. Now it is back to work!

scott467

“The weaponization of the impeachment process to settle political differences is not only wrong, it is immoral and corrupt.”

.

“Finally, I can promise the Biden Administration the following: buckle up because your lawless policies will not go unchallenged. We will not allow you to shred the constitution and infringe on the rights of Texans. You will be held accountable.”

______________

So how are you going to hold them accountable without using the impeachment process and the judicial process against the very people who have made themselves your political enemies — which will immediately be portrayed by them as weaponizing the impeachment (and judicial) process?

It’s like getting shot by someone, and virtuously proclaiming that you will not return fire in self defense — because you wear white elbow-length gloves and graduated from the University of Queensberry at Marquess.

Republicanism, as it is practiced in America, is to be a sucker.

Someone who would rather lose with a false sense of virtue than win.

And there is never a shortage of Crims who will take that deal.

TheseTruths

There is a distinction between the legitimate impeachment process and an illegitimate impeachment which is based on trumped-up charges that are false. Using impeachment as a weapon applies to the latter, and that is what I think he means. It’s certainly what happened to him. I doubt that he is against valid impeachment.

scott467

“There is a distinction between the legitimate impeachment process and an illegitimate impeachment which is based on trumped-up charges that are false.”

______________

Of course there is.

And not one single person, not even one member of the MSM or the enemy party, will ever acknowledge that distinction, once you begin to hold them accountable.

So why say it, what’s the point, except to virtue-signal to our own tribe, and worse, to broadcast to the enemy that we are a full and willing participant in their stupid game of gotcha?

.

“Using impeachment as a weapon applies to the latter, and that is what I think he means.”

_____________

Impeachment is always a weapon, it is a hostile effort to remove your opponent from office. There is no nice way to do that, no matter what length white gloves one wears, and no matter how much one practices their Thurston Howell the 3rd accent.

Our side is obsessed with optics, and never with results.

The enemy is obsessed with results, and never with optics.

Who wins that match-up, every time?

.

“It’s certainly what happened to him. I doubt that he is against valid impeachment.”

_____________

I’m sure he isn’t.

What is ‘valid’?

Valid is in the eye of the beholder.

The enemy will never think it is valid when applied to them, and they will always think it is valid when applied to us.

So what’s the point of pretending otherwise?

Who is that playing to?

The enemy sees us as a sucker, and we demoralize anyone on our own side who understands the truth and sees that we would rather lose with virtue than win.

It is falling into the Left’s trap over and over (and over again) like a Wile E. Coyote cartoon.

Our side has played it this way for so long, that the whole world now hangs in the balance.

It’s a fight to the death now.

Nobody wins that kind of fight with ‘virtue’, because it’s like fighting a world champion while wearing a straitjacket.
