Today is Good Friday. It is also the sixth day of Passover.
(A side note: Today’s offering may sound, in some ways, like “another conspiracy theory” to some readers. However, given that many things that were called “conspiracy theories” about the COVID-19 “vaccines”, things which now are proving to be true, what is presented today may ultimately fit into the “down the road, toldjah” category.)
Just about everyone has a cellphone. Most of these cellphones are versions of a “smart phone” that have either Apple-based, or Andoid-based, technology built into them. Many people carry their smartphones in a pocket of their clothing. Other people carry their smartphones in a holder device connected to a lanyard that is worn around the neck. Many people hold their smartphones up to their ears when speaking or listening. Most smartphones are now connected to a 5G technology signal transfer system. These 5G signals are carried by cellphone “towers”; they are also carried by “mini-system stations” that are being added to existing telephone lines; they are also carried by other “mini-system devices” that are being attached to existing street lights, or are already built into new street lights. It is now possible to see 5G “mini-system stations” or “mini-system devices” on entire stretches of street lights.
5G technology is supposed to be the “new standard” for technology transfer (until it is likely eclipsed by higher transmission rates, such the “up and coming” 7G); for telecommunications; and for ease and speed of information transfer. However, there is another side to this situation: the radiation signals from 5G smartphones can interfere with red blood cell function in the person with the 5G smartphone, causing these cells to form clusters (also called aggregations) that resemble stacked coins.

Try airplane mode, with or without the Faraday bag, and see how your battery holds up. Airplane mode allows long-term tracking which satisfies the spy agencies, but not in real time, which means that bad actors like Bidenoids and O-thugs can’t easily set you up and pull off-the-books operations using NSA data.
Essentially, your phone keeps listening, but it stops talking, so there is no conversation.
The Faraday bag blinds everybody, including your phone. Depends on what your main purpose is – health or stopping spying, and if the latter, at what level.
Also be careful, because some phones allow Bluetooth and/or WiFi to operate under “airplane mode”.
The old one I use for music in my car is one of these. That’s a virtue in that case though. Lobotomize/wipe the phone, uninstall everything it will let you uninstall (except the music app) then bluetooth to the car…in airplane mode.

Cell batteries with much longer life between charges these days, make it less of a concern. Maybe.

Depends on how modern they are. More recent phones (typically the ones with non-removable batteries) don’t really “turn off” when you turn them off.
You can avoid that by putting it in airplane mode, but then you have to remember to undo that when you take it out of the bag.

Not wasted conversations for some of us it seems, though I retain one that gets turned on periodically each year to keep it up dated. Now if I could do something to get rid of my wireless phone system which is also an emitter of harmful radiation every bit as dangerous as 5g. Best I’ve been able to do is put them at a distance which helps, but it’s such a pain to go and see who might be calling. Maybe newer systems are not rated as bad? Need to look into that or just use a hard wire for the room I occupy and allow the other to be wireless as wireless is definitely coinvent when moving about the home. `
The problem with this RF (Radio Frequency) radiation is the higher the frequency goes, the shorter the wavelength is (think of the waves when you toss a rock into a lake). The term Microwave oven is a reflection of this, but also reveals another fact; when using a phone or other device that generates microwaves (no matter how weakly), you’re basically cooking yourself.
With each additional generation, the frequency goes up, AND the wavelength gets shorter, to the point that with “high-band” 5g (fifth generation, NOT five Gigahertz) the wavelenght is sub-millimeter, which gets into the tiny lengths our cells deal with. Resonances can occur, and jacking up the frequency yet again will lead to this excitation being much, much worse.
A microwave oven (usually well-shielded unless the door seal is broken or something else is defective) operates as 2.4 GigaHertz. WiFi modems (Fritz!Box, etc.) run at this frequency on their low band, which has a better range, and 5 GHz on the high band (which doesn’t penetrate walls and masonry as well). To add to this mess, most RC toys, cars, planes, etc. are also in the 2.4 GHz band, along with FM microphones like stage actors, teachers, lecturers, and hearing-impaired use.
The IoT (Internet of Things) adds a whole new frontier of radiation, with each device/receiver/servo having its own signals (and also IP address, so the bad guys can track you or hack you). These are also, IIRC, in the 2.4 or 5 GhZ range.
Then there are DECT (type of cordless) phones in that “neighborhood” too.
The 5g (and higher) devices popping up everywhere like rabid mushrooms are necessary because the frequencies used by 5g don’t pass through solids very well (e.g. concrete with rebar, metal, other structures, trees, etc.) so they need line-of-sight from one transmitter to another…
And that means LOTS OF THEM. Hidden, if possible, but that conflicts with the need for line of sight.
All those recommendations are good, although I’d add that a Faraday Bag (thank God it’s Faraday?) basically is the same as shutting the phone off, which would be a good idea. If the phone has an option to automatically seek a provider (my ancient candy-bars do that) turn it to manual while you’re traveling. If it is set up in “promiscuous mode” to join or attempt to join any nearby network, turn that off. And if you have bluetooth on, and you’re going to have the phone in the bag for a while, turn bluetooth off, to save battery as well.
Hardwired LANs are in general faster, more stable, more secure (can’t be snooped easily)[real paranoiacs use fiber] but by the same token a bit of a chore to install, especially if you have plaster or masonry walls. Hammer drills are oh so much fun 😀
CFLs are bad, but LEDs (due to their almost complete lack of infrared light, which helps the retinas) are worse. The bit about CFLs transmitting current is sketchy… the only coupling that would occur would be between the cheap RED Chinese ballast in the CFL socket trafo and any metal on or in the body… and that at a really low level…
At the other end of the frequency spectrum, it’s now coming out that infrasound (under 20 Hz or so) from bird-choppers and other things (volcanoes, earthquakes) is very VERY unhealthy. The YSM/MCM will, of course, ignore this as it goes against the cult of GAIA and Greta the GangGreenhearted… Have to wonder, though, if RFK Jr. will address that… a new study just came out…
Just as a titch — your IP address (especially on a mobile device) can change all the time. What generally doesn’t change is your MAC address, which is burned into your device. The thing that links MAC addresses to IP addresses in routers is ARP https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Address_Resolution_Protocol.
When you connect a system into a network, like your home router, your system displays its MAC address and the router will use this to assign an IP address. If you turn off your device and another gizmo logs into the router, it can get that same IP address. However, if you turned your device back on and tried to attach to the network again, it would display the same MAC address.
Yep, if you’re using DHCP, it will change. And, Apple likes to spoof MAC addresses, so unless you turn that “feature” off it won’t repeat (actually, I think they rotate it every three weeks or so, not sure of the size of the pool).

(In Casa Covfefe we use fixed IP addresses, and IPv4. Which of course means we’re subject to DS Lite and carrier-grade NATS… I don’t have any need to get the lite converted to full dual stack, even if my ISP would do it, which I doubt, in the “Greatest Germany of All Time” 😡 )…

As an example, suppose a Raspberry Pi wakes up connected to a wired network. Its MAC address will start with B8:27:EB (because it’s made by Raspberry Pi). Since MAC addresses are six numbers long, let us say that its full MAC is B8:27:EB:05:50:55 — which would look like 184.39.235.5.80.85 in decimal, were anyone ever to use decimal for MAC addresses.
As it wakes up, cold and lonely, it sends out a DHCP request [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhcp ] to 255.255.255.255 [FF:FF:FF:FF in hexadecimal, which nobody ever uses for IP4 addresses], using port 67 and the UDP protocol. This DHCP request includes its MAC address.
The local DHCP server will then say, “well, little one at B8:27:EB:05:50:55, I am E8:DE:27:06:60:66 — but you can call me 192.168.0.0 and I will call you 192.168.0.100. Your internet gateway is 192.168.0.0.” [Note that E8:DE:27 identifies the router as made by TP-LINK.]
Again, all this goes on “invisibly”, normally without human input.
As opposed to the good old days of Hayes or AJ modems with acoustic couplers and dialup, where you dial up the remote modem, wait for signs of life on the other end (and not a voice), plunge the handset into the coupler, listen to all the squacks and beeps of the handshake, and then data transmission went on.

You’re most of the way there — you are just not giving yourself enough credit. You are entirely correct in thinking A, B, C, D, E, F are 10, 11, 12, 13. 14, and 15 respectively. The right-hand number in hexadecimal is the ones’ place, the next over is the 16’s place — just like the 2 in the ones’ place in decimal and five in next place over is the tens’ place in 52 when thinking of playing cards.
If you look at the sample MAC address, it starts with B8 — that’s 12(B) 16’s at 176 (decimal), plus 8 ones, and that gets to 184 in decimal.
The next thingie in the MAC address is 27 [hex] — that’s two in the 16s place, or 32, plus 7 in the ones, for a total of 39 [dec]. EB turns into 235 the same way.
As it turns out, there are a lot of reasons to use hexadecimal when dealing with computers. Each hexadecimal digit is four bits, so a 64-bit addressing space is 00000000-FFFFFFFF exactly. Each 8-bit byte is 00-FF. Doing this in decimal and doing conversions is pain-in-the-tuchis.
As I mention in my original comment, however, there are historical holdovers that force decimal into hexadecimal spaces. IP4 addresses are an example — an IP4 address looks like 0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255 and is displayed in decimal. In hex, that would be 00:00:00:00 to FF:FF:FF:FF.
“Magic numbers” such as the 192.168.0.0 that home routers use would make more sense as C0:A8:00:00.
The upshot, however, is that base 10 and base 16 have their uses — and the annoying interplay is just some historical cruft we have to deal with.

In Linux (and in UNIX before), file permissions are “yes” or “no” for read, write, or execute.
If you just think “rwx”, you can say “000”, “001”, “010”, “011”, “100”, “101”, “110”, or “111”. If r’s are worth 4, w’s worth 2, and x’s worth 1, that’s 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 in base 8, or octal.
So if I want to set the permissions for system, group, and user to “everything, nothing, nothing”, I can chmod the file to “700”, If I also want users and groups to only read it, I’d say chmod 744.
Pretty much nobody uses octal for anything anywhere….except here.

Back in the day, I worked at a small manufacturing company. Many of our workers were Vietnamese, Filipinos, or Hispanic — and, thus, largely Catholic. Every year on Good Friday, they’d start to get antsy about getting a half-day off.

It sounds like Bonhoeffer was dealing with the same problem we are, it’s exactly what we’re dealing with.

The Chipmunk War continues…
last night hubby set the larger trap for the raccoon. He filled the bait cup with Tomcat bait we use for the mouse bait boxes–they love it…sigh. Anyway 2:30 this morning we were awaken by a loud ruckus on the deck. Yes, we caught the chubby raccoon in the trap but before he went into the trap, he rolled around the deck on the near empty (but completely sealed) bait bucket. literally rolled around on it–we caught it all on the trail cam. Hubby dispatched it when we got up.
The chipmunk is toying with me. We had the feeder on the table between the adirondack chairs. Chippy was getting up on the arms of the chairs and then jumping to the table. So I moved the table out a ways from the chairs. Last evening he didn’t attempt the distance but he must have taken his geritol this morning because he took a flying leap and landed right on the table. Since i was watching, I chased him immediately-getting some good cardio exercise while screaming “ain’t gonna happen tree rat!”
So, i moved the table even further away from the chairs and now he is beside himself. running all over the deck trying to find someway to get high enough to jump down on the table because he’s not getting enough runway to make the new jump.
I may not win this war, but i am keeping hubby laughing at least.
Just remember, I told you anything less than a 22 pistol would be entertainment for the varmint. I overlooked Dear Spouse being amused as well. 😂

I recall that fairly early in the scamdemic someone brought a slide show, I think it was, & it was info from a physician working closer to the West Coast where many of the early covid cases were clustered. He actually brought up the issue of EMF having a negative effect on those covid cases. I think a significant number of cases were clustered in a nursing home or rehab facility that was in an high EMF zone.

Yours Truly saw 5G signal transfer devices attached to EVERY telephone pole while driving through Durham County and Durham City yesterday on a couple of errands.
Some of the 5G signal transfer devices looked like “mini versions” of the huge ones affixed to the tall “cellphone towers”; other looked like horizontal “cannisters” mounted to the telephone wires strung between the telephone poles; and other looked like those “new street lights” that have 5G signal transfer devices built into them.
That is most alarming yet unsurprising 🙁
The frequencies at which the 5g repeaters operate require line-of-sight between them, as the radio waves do not penetrate solid objects, metal, concrete, etc., and trees and poles, etc. reflect them.
That is why there are so many of them. The higher they can be mounted, the fewer of them are needed, but that is both more expensive, unsightly, and usually not possible in any case.
The most dangerous are the “high band” sub-millimeter frequencies, but I don’t think they are turned on yet in the USA.
TPTB probably want to push self-driving cars, as well as the IoT (Internet of Things), where all of your appliances, etc., are networked and can “call home” when needed, or can be monitored/controlled by your i-Thing. (Something I find ludicrous; if you’re not at home, you shouldn’t be turning on appliances, etc., that you can’t actually see grrrrrr…..).
All these mountains of data I find totally unnecessary. And if something is cooking in my house, I want it to be my breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack, NOT me 🙂
There’s a measurement for radiation emitted by phones and tablets; it’s called SAR. Over here phone manufacturers are required to list that in their documentation, I’d imagine (hope) that the same is true in the USA. One of the crypto youtoobers I watch is also a big Tesla supporter. He has had a Tesla for about 5 years now, and I think he recently received his Cybertruck (he had been on a waiting list).
He loves the FSD (full self-driving), to the point where he says he’s uncomfortable not using it. He’s not a pansy either, he used to ride a motorcycle and drove sports cars.
He is originally from the UK, and lives in California now. He’s no Leftist, and he is more and more openly supportive of MAGA positions, but he does live inside the California bubble.
I just don’t get it, full self driving is like a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist. I can see a good use case for commercial trucking applications, but it’s a technology that no one is clamoring for.
I have control issues, so I won’t be getting any car with FSD. I don’t even like other people driving a car that I am in, much less a computer. But beyond that, I like to drive. A manual transmission is even (much) better, because it integrates the driver more fully into the driving experience.
The whole purpose of FSD is to accomplish the opposite of that. It’s to remove you as a driver, and make you a passenger. I don’t want to be a passenger… I’m a driver 😁
As far as I know, Tesla’s FSD is not transferrable to ICE cars, so widespread adoption of FSD depends on widespread adoption of electric cars.
And I don’t see that happening, at least not in America.
Supporters also tout the ability to rent your car out, like an automated taxi, when you are not using it, which could generate enough income to pay for the car and have money left over.
That sounds great, but how many people want strangers in their car all day long? Not to mention the wear and tear that goes with it, and racking up all those miles.
Especially considering we live in a violent, multicultural wasteland.
If you happen to be a member of the sole unprotected-class, meaning everyone else is incentivized to hate you and use you as a scapegoat for all of society’s ills — what are you going to do if a protected-class member trashes your car?
You won’t even be able to complain about it, without being called a raycist. And you’re certainly not going to get anywhere trying to make them pay for damages 😂
Maybe it’s a European thing, Europeans seem to love public transportation, but I don’t know any Americans who want strangers riding around in their car.
Just think… they drive on the wrong side of the road, and go downhill from there 😆
I’ve driven a lot in the UK, both in my own cars (left-hand drive) and rentals (right-hand drive) and it’s an adventure. I was dropping a colleague off at Heathrow, and we decided to park in the parking structure as there was nowhere convenient near the departure lanes.
Trouble was, either someone diddled with the signs, or the workers had put them up wrong. The way my colleague had been taught, we had to follow the signs, no matter what (as an aside, even a policeman CANNOT countermand a red traffic light!!!).
After a few circuits through the signage, I said “screw it”, reached escape velocity, and exited the loop (with a brake instruction 🙂 )…
He just about passed out. We’d still be there, almost 40 years later, if I’d listened to him 🙂

Public transportation is popular here because of the population density. And “thanks” to our “guests” it’s getting less popular and more dangerous by the day. But the streets in older towns are quite narrow (having been here for centuries) and parking is scarce, so public transportation in those cases is a good idea.
Germans are basically gearheads, so I expect any effort for completely self-driving cars or eliminating cars entirely will be crushed before it gains any traction (so to speak 🙂 )…..

Tesla has a solution for that, they have their own in-house insurance division for Tesla owners, so I’m sure Elon will make that available to facilitate the whole process (and narrative).
Back in the early 1990s, IIRC, cops were getting testicular cancer from having their radar guns sitting in their laps for many hours every day.
I don’t know what the technical cause was, beyond something to do with close proximity to some sort of strong electrical signal on an ongoing basis.
If you shouldn’t have a radar gun anywhere near one’s testicles, you probably shouldn’t have a radar gun anywhere near your heart, or your head either. I could be wrong, but it seems like a reasonable guess.
And if you shouldn’t have a radar gun anywhere near any of those places, then you probably shouldn’t have a cell phone near any of those places, either.
And a laptop PC probably isn’t a good thing to have on your lap for long periods of time, for that matter. So I never did.
Keyboard, mouse, phones, etc., have always been wired connections.
I never had wi-fi either.
The modem I use isn’t even wi-fi capable.
But thanks to your post, I did check to see if ‘airplane mode’ was enabled on my PC, and it wasn’t, so I turned it on. Or off. Whatever it was, I switched it so it wasn’t searching for any signal, so it shows ‘Wi-Fi’ is ‘off’ 😁

Media never even got close to speculating over the odds of three family members getting cancer at the same time. Reporters just pretended it was bad luck, and focused instead on how the plucky family is transforming bad luck into good works for other cancer sufferers.
Jarringly, the Jones story wasn’t even the first mysterious cancer-cluster story this month.

So let’s do this. Behold this terrifying roundup of other cancer cluster stories from just this month, April 2025.
In no particular order, three days ago, Illinois’ IPM News reported a brain cancer cluster in Piatt County:
In 2022, after her father rapidly died from the disease, Caitlin McClain began to investigate the rest of her community. At that time, she found 26 other cases of rapid-onset glioblastoma in Piatt County. Currently, her data contains around 30 cases, 14 of which have died in the last five years.
When she recently addressed the city council, McClain told them she’d contacted federal and state officials, the Illinois Health Department, and the Illinois EPA, but their response were not “timely or appropriate. “ I bet. She also said she really didn’t receive any substantial response until student investigative reporters reported the story last month, in March.
Students! They haven’t been co-opted yet.

The story reported that the Iowa Cancer Registry first ran an investigation in 2022, after 12 teachers got breast cancer diagnoses. The investigation found “no evidence of a breast cancer cluster” among school staff in Hudson, mostly because they did not all have the same cancer subtype. A local citizen and retired school teacher, Diane Anderson, noticed more breast cancer cases among women cropping up in the town and recently asked the University of Iowa to reopen the investigation.
You know what school teachers were subject to. It starts with M- and rhymes with band-aid.

The residents suspect five local Superfund sites called the “waste pits.” At an April public meeting with Texas health officials in Harris County, Lynchburg resident Gene Hennigan unloaded. “My son died of two kinds of lung cancer two years ago,” Hennigan said. “My wife’s had breast cancer. Fortunately, she’s in remission now. My youngest son’s father-in-law, who lives next door to me, died two months ago from liver cancer. The neighbor across the street’s got brain cancer right now. Our whole neighborhood’s full of it.”
The EPA and the Texas Department of Health Services cut off their investigatory dataset in… 2021. Officials remain unperturbed.
⚕️ A couple months ago In February, Patch.com ran this troubling story:
In 2022, Al Lupiano, who grew up in Woodbridge and went on to become an environmental scientist, started investigating what he calls an unusually high number of brain cancers and brain tumors in Colonia High School graduates and workers.
Lupiano and his wife are both now fighting rare brain tumors.
In total, six current or former cafeteria workers at Colonia High School have been diagnosed with cancer or brain tumors. One Colonia High School junior is currently battling a brain tumor, and a local who graduated from Colonia High several years ago died from brain cancer on February 7th.
I could continue. There were many more, and that’s just with a simple Google search. Apparently, they haven’t blocked the search term “cancer cluster” yet.
💉 What should we make of all this? It’s hard to say. The term “cancer cluster” was not uncommon in pre-pandemic headlines. In May 2019, for example, the Guardian ran a high-profile, multimedia style exposé about a Louisiana cluster headlined, “‘Almost every household has someone that has died from cancer.’”

But in my amateur news investigation, I can draw a couple rough conclusions. First, based on the stories, before the pandemic, public health officials used to be more forthcoming and more willing to diagnose and identify the clusters than today. “The EPA not only confirmed the existence of a profoundly higher risk of cancer throughout the region,” the Guardian reported in 2019, “but it pinpointed Reserve, a working-class town of about 10,000, at the bullseye.”
That initial observation leads directly to a second. Pre-pandemic, cancers seemed to cluster around industrial waste or other readily identifiable causes, and the types of cancers caused were similar subtypes within the same cluster areas. But we began today’s post with a story about a cluster of different cancers within a single family—one esophageal cancer and two breast cancers.
That’s an entirely different type of exposure. The Jones’ family’s experience suggests exposure to something with a general cancer-promoting effect, rather than something that causes certain types of cancer.
Finally, we can easily observe a sea change in the radically different way these stories have been reported pre- and post-pandemic. Before the pandemic, cancer cluster stories were routinely and enthusiastically covered by corporate media giants like the Guardian. And those stories were usually skeptical of official denials. But now, you must dig into local stories and into student journalist articles to find them.
Is corporate media’s obvious avoidance based on trying to defuse “vaccine hesitancy,” or is it something more sinister? Because what we see is a possible systemic, multi-site, post-2021 carcinogenic exposure event that doesn’t follow the historical “cluster” playbook.
⚕️ Pre-pandemic, cancer clusters existed, yes— but they were usually tied to localized, persistent industrial contamination. Generally, offenders were stand-alone corporate malfeasants, not entire industries. And the investigations typically followed a predictable arc:
Public health agencies confirm elevated incidence.Media outlets investigate and pressure the government.EPA or state agencies eventually respond (or stall until public outcry mounts).The 2019 Guardian story is a textbook example—complete with emotionally compelling quotes, on-the-ground reporting, and plain skepticism of official inaction.But after 2021, stories of cancer clusters still appear— but now:
Cancers are varied (esophageal, brain, breast, liver) within the same families or communities.Affected populations are more diffuse (teachers, nurses, young people, not just industrial towns).Responses from authorities are slower, vaguer, and less confident.Mainstream coverage is MIA.It’s like we’ve crossed into a new era of unacknowledged causality, where even the suggestion of a systemic agent triggers bureaucratic shutdown. The difference between media’s full-bore pre-pandemic charge against cancer clusters and its current delicate distancing, I believe, lies in who the potential polluter might be. This time, it’s not likely to be just a single leaky industrial plant or a big chemical manufacturer nobody ever heard of. Look at these greedy polluters harming the innocent townsfolk!
This time, it’s much bigger and more dangerous to the establishment. This time, the likely big polluter is the establishment.
💉 This time, it isn’t vinyl chloride or benzene in the water. These new clusters don’t seem to produce a predictable cancer subtype. Instead, they seem to:
Accelerate the already present but latent cancer risk,Activate different rare cancers in genetically related individuals, andAfflict healthy people in non-industrial environments.I’m just a lawyer, not an oncologist, but this profile more suggests a broad-spectrum mutagen or an immune dysregulator. Something like:
A systemic modifier of DNA repair.A disruptor of oncogene suppression mechanisms.A long-term, pro-inflammatory agent that weakens tumor resistance.Before 2021, reporters leaned into cluster stories. They smelled blood in bureaucratic denial. But now they run for the hills, as though fearing censorship, deplatforming, and advertiser blowback. And we’ve learned the media’s biggest advertiser and buyer of expensive news subscriptions is the United States federal government.
Even hinting at systemic causes must now feel like professional suicide.
💉 The problem is that, post-pandemic, the potential “polluter” isn’t some marginal chemical company. It’s a federally coordinated pharmaceutical rollout backed by near-universal media support, unconstitutionally mandated by governments, shielded from civil and criminal liability, and glorified by editorials, white-coated pretenders, and blue-checked Twitter threads.
This time, the gun of media exposure is aimed backwards. If the current causal chain runs through post-2021 mass exposure, then the implication is that regulators didn’t just miss it— they caused it. And the media didn’t just fail to report it— they helped sell it. That, my friends, is a politically toxic, unprintable story.
In other words, the media’s deafening silence doesn’t mean the clusters aren’t real or aren’t significant. It means the clusters are too dangerous to explain, because this time, the trail leads right back to the newsroom itself, where the government, pharma, media, and public health agencies all stood together and smiled for the cameras.
The media’s problem is that the evidence is swelling and will eventually become undeniable— yet they are institutionally disabled from investigating or reporting on it. When the truth finally emerges, they will surely try to shift blame, point fingers, retcon, and obfuscate. But a reckoning is on the way —some might argue it’s already in progress— and either way, it can’t be avoided.
We only need the new media to mature a little bit more, while continuing to salivate over the chance to rake the old media over the cancer-causing coals.
On this Good Friday, be comforted with the realization that it is probably too late for legacy media. Their culpability in the pandemic will be their unraveling. We will get a new, replacement media that shoves the old media aside— and it will be their own fault, on account of what they did. Their pandemic performance wasn’t just a bad chapter— it was their irreversible narrative collapse. They will never regain what they lost. And the press that replaces them will rise not despite their failure, but because of it.
The question now is: how long can they keep faking credibility, while the truth is slowly leaking out of its rusting barrels and permeating the media’s ecosystem? Let me know what you think.

Organic chemistry is deemed to be more difficult than inorganic chemistry because you use fewer elements but they are formed into many more configurations.
For a class (in college) P-Chem aka Physical Chemistry was way harder but that was at least partially because the professor didn’t teach things, he read from the book without adequate explanations. Even with open book tests it was very hard to do well in that class!

advocaterepresentative” for Children’s Special Healthcare Services Insurance, my son being a pediatric patient having CSHCS as his tertiary insurance after Hubby’s work insurance as primary & Medicaid as secondary. Better to have a voice than not 🙂Only kids w/ Cystic Fibrosis & another short life span disease, I forget which one now, did not age out of this coverage helping a small subset of pediatric patients with very significant chronic illnesses in Michigan. At the time Josiah was one of about 40,000 kids in MI that had this coverage. It had a financial aspect to it as well, but I believe that even well-off people could qualify, via diagnoses, though had increasingly steep co-pays based on income, so it differed from Medicaid that was more “poverty” based, iirc.

Executive summary
A new UCSF study has now been published on a preprint server.
The key result is absolutely mind blowing.
The risk ratio (RR) for hospitalization in vaccinated COVID-naïve individuals vs. unvaccinated post-infection individuals is:
This means individuals were nearly 6 times more likely to be hospitalized after COVID vaccination than unvaccinated individuals were to be hospitalized after a COVID infection.
How does this impact mortality? I had ChatGPT do an objective estimate.
Result: 3 to 6 times more likely to die if you chose the vaccine. It’s clearly not that high (if it was, the all cause mortality numbers would be much higher), but the point is that it’s more likely than not that it caused increased mortality than decreased mortality.
Why didn’t the CDC let us know any of this? I was certainly not told any of this by the CDC, my doctor, or the media.

In short, the cure was 6x more likely to land you into a hospital than just taking your shot at getting an infection.
But it’s way worse than this because if you opted for the “I’ll take my chances with the infection” door, you might not get infected at all, whereas for the vaccine door, you’ve locked in that the 6.24% rate.
The numbers were large enough to be highly statistically significant.
This is mind blowing. This is INSANE.

If you do a Fisher test on the numbers you get OR=6.19 and p-value of 4e-15. In short, this didn’t happen by chance and the effect size is HUGE.

The medical community needs to explain that one. But they will say the trials are right and that this study must be wrong somehow (they never propose a plausible mechanism).
Vaccines are supposed to reduce risk of hospitalization, not increase it.

LAS CRUCES — Doña Ana County Magistrate Judge Joel Cano has resigned from the bench where he has sat since 2011.
Although his resignation letter, dated March 3, did not state his reason for stepping down, it followed shortly after a man awaiting deportation proceedings, accused by federal law enforcement of being affiliated with a Venezuelan gang, was arrested at Cano’s home.
Cristhian Ortega-Lopez, 23, faces federal firearm charges after Homeland Security Investigations executed a search warrant on Feb. 28 at a Las Cruces residence owned by Cano and his wife, Nancy.
“Working with each of you has been a very rewarding experience for which I will remain eternally grateful,” Cano wrote in a letter addressed to 3rd Judicial District Chief Judge Conrad Perea and court staff. The letter declared his last day as March 21, which dockets show was also the last day he had hearings scheduled in court.
Jose “Joel” Cano, a former police officer and Democrat, was first elected as a magistrate judge in 2010 and ran unopposed in three subsequent elections, winning his fourth term in 2022.
The details of Ortega-Lopez’s arrest and prior relationship with the Cano family are addressed in federal court motions seeking Ortega-Lopez’s detention. In New Mexico federal district court, prosecutors argue that Ortega-Lopez is a flight risk and a danger to the community due to an alleged criminal history, including alleged ties to the Tren de Aragua gang in Venezuela.
Court filings state that agents recovered four firearms from a neighboring home owned by April Cano, who is identified in court filings as Nancy Cano’s daughter. A criminal complaint alleges Ortega-Lopez admitted to possessing and firing them, as seen in photos and videos posted on Facebook last December.
Ortega-Lopez was taken into custody along with other individuals described as roommates in court filings. On March 3, he appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Damian Martinez on charges of being an unlawful alien in possession of a firearm and ammunition. At their home, Joel and Nancy Cano both declined to comment, explaining they did not want to jeopardize any of the men’s legal cases.
Previously, Ortega-Lopez was accused of entering the United States by scaling a barbed-wire fence near Eagle Pass, Texas. After three days in Border Patrol custody, he was released on humanitarian parole ahead of deportation proceedings due to overcrowded facilities at the Border Patrol’s South Laredo, Texas, processing center, court records state.
From there, prosecutors say Ortega-Lopez eventually moved to El Paso, where he roomed with five other people. Court documents state that he met Nancy Cano doing construction and handyman jobs, and accepted her offer to stay in a casita behind her home. In April 2024, Ortega-Lopez filed a request for immigration relief, listing the Las Cruces address as his residence.
Prosecutors say Ortega-Lopez was subsequently introduced to April Cano, “who possessed a large number of firearms” and “allowed him to hold and sometimes shoot various firearms,” allegedly including rifles and a handgun tied to the social media posts.
Exhibits presented in federal court include a social media image showing Ortega-Lopez posing with the judge.
At a March 14 detention hearing, court records indicate that Judge Martinez initially favored releasing the defendant, prompting an immediate appeal by the prosecution. The appeal quotes Martinez as saying, of Judge Cano, “I don’t think he would just let anybody live in his property.”
The appeal also states that Martinez requested that pretrial services staff assess whether Nancy Cano could be the defendant’s third-party custodian, despite the arrest having taken place at her residence.

I live between Los Gatos (The Cats), Los Altos (The Heights), Palo Alto (Tall Tree), and cities named after Saints (San Jose, Santa Clara, San Francisco, Santa Cruz….) amidst streets named The Alameda (The Tree-Lined Avenue, Avenida de las Pulgas (Street of the Fleas), El Camino Real (The Royal Road)…..and, of course, the mountains that seal us off from reality — the Sierra Nevadas (Snowy Sawteeth).
So is Nevada snowy or sawtooth? Very interesting btw 🙂
You use a hand saw…..sierra de mano; a table saw — sierra de mesa; a band saw — sierra de banda…..to cut wood. If you say “it snows”, that’s “nieva” — “nevada” is another form based on the same verb stem.
And, yes, that means that the desert state of Nevada is named after snow that seldom happens there.

And when they build a new development, it gets a Spanish name. In LA the places with whitebread names tend to be unfashionable.
The movie Zorro the Gay Blade lampooned all of the “San” placenames once; a bunch of land owners would introduce themselves as (for instance) “Don Diego from San Rafael,” “Don Francisco from San Diego”, etc. Until the last guy who was from Bakersfield.
City of Industry, Inglewatts ( 🙂 ), Carson, Whittier, Eagle Rock, East LA 😆 etc. etc.
My Mum’s parents were over from England many decades ago (late 1950s) and my Welsh Pop would pronounce all those words with proper British pronunciation, stiff upper lip and all.
It was absolutely hilarious… but understandable, I guess, having listened to the British pronunciation of French. I had an English chamber-music coach who always pronounced Ravel to sound like Rabble… maybe on purpose 🙂 Great cellist and coach (and composer) too, though (Colin Hampton)…
I was lost in (I think) Aachen as a tourist, but saw a tour bus unloading, and it was full of Brits. So I asked the guide for directions, figuring she would surely speak English.
She told me to go past the lorry and turn right. Now I know what a lorry is, but I did NOT recognize her saying that in a mixed British/German accent. When it finally dawned on me what she was saying, I said “Oh, the TRUCK!” and thanked her profusely and went on. The Brits got a good laugh at that, thinking I didn’t understand “lorry.” Actually I understood “lorry” just fine, but not with her accent.
I had a Scottish colleague with a very, VERY thick Scottish accent, and from time to time I would be called upon to interpret what he was saying, in particular when he was hollow-legged or three sheets to the wind… in that condition, even some of his teammates couldn’t decipher what he was saying…
The funny thing is that heavily accented Scottish English is not all that far from German. At a company here there was a finance manager from Scotland who spoke pretty good German, but it was, erm, interesting (especially to the Germans here)….
