The current review discussed the chemical constituents, pharmacological and therapeutic importance of Hedera helix.

Coltsfoot has diverse uses in local and traditional medicine, but similarities have been noticed, specifically for relieving inflammatory conditions, respiratory and infectious diseases in humans. Regarding its pharmacological activities, many traditional uses of coltsfoot are supported by modern in vitro or in vivo pharmacological studies such as anti-inflammatory activities, neuro-protective activity, anti-diabetic, anti-oxidant activity. Quantitative analysis (e.g. GC-MS, UHPLC-MRMHR) indicated the presence of a rich (>150) pool of chemicals, including sesquiterpenes, phenolic acids, flavonoids, chromones, pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs) and others from its leaves and buds. In addition, adverse events have resulted from a collection of the wrong plant which contains PAs that became the subject of public concern attributed to their highly toxic.
Conclusions
So far, remarkable progress has been witnessed in phytochemistry and pharmacology of coltsfoot. Thus, some traditional uses have been well supported and clarified by modern pharmacological studies. Discovery of therapeutic natural products and novel structures in plants for future clinical and experimental studies are still a growing interest. Furthermore, well-designed studies in vitro particularly in vivo are required to establish links between the traditional uses and bioactivities, as well as ensure safety before clinical use. In addition, the good botanical identification of coltsfoot and content of morphologically close species is a precondition for quality supervision and control. 6. Pharmacology
There are some biological activities in the extracts or compounds of coltsfoot. Anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, antiviral and anti-cancer are similar with traditional uses. In addition, many new biological activities have been discovered in modern research, such as anti-diabetic, neuro-protective activities, immunostimulating activities, anti-oxidant activity and cardiovascular. Effect of the proteolytic enzyme serrapeptase in patients with chronic airway disease.
Abstract
Objectives: The proteolytic enzyme serrapeptase (SER) is widely used in clinical practice in Japan. We investigated the effect of SER on sputum properties and symptoms in patients with chronic airway diseases.
Methods: This study was an open-labelled trial with a non-treatment control group. Patients were randomly assigned to oral treatment with (n = 15) and without (n = 14) SER 30 mg/day for 4 weeks. Patients collected sputum samples for about 4 h in the morning on the day the trial began and 4 weeks later. We measured the amount of sputum by weighing. Part of each sputum sample was weighed and then completely dried and reweighed. The percentage solid component, viscosity and elasticity of the sputum were measured. Mucociliary transportability index was measured using ciliated bovine trachea ex vivo. Sputum smears were also prepared to count sputum neutrophils. Patients’ symptoms were assessed by a questionnaire that used a visual analogue scale.
Results: After 4 weeks of SER treatment, sputum weight in the morning, percentage solid component, viscosity and elasticity of sputum, sputum neutrophil count, frequency of coughing and frequency of expectoration significantly decreased. The mean mucociliary transportability index increased from 13.3 +/- 1.8 to 24.4 +/- 2.5 (P = 0.0103).
Conclusions: SER may exert a beneficial effect on mucus clearance by reducing neutrophil numbers and altering the viscoelasticity of sputum in patients with chronic airway diseases.

Serrapeptase side effects and potential risks are few. No serious or adverse side effects have been reported from taking Serrapeptase; however, there are a few potential cautions. A very small number of isolated cases of gastrointestinal irritation mostly in patients with gastrointestinal ulcers have been reported with use. A smaller population described in medical literature, developed pneumonia. Although rare, it was theorized that removing scar tissue from the lungs (as Serrapeptase does) can increase the chance of infection due to airborne pathogens (52), this is mostly in elderly individuals with compromised lung function. For this reason Serrapeptase is not recommended for those people with advanced lung cancers or those that smoke. Discontinue smoking if beginning Serrapeptase, and consult your doctor if you are taking blood thinners as Serrapeptase can also enhance or amplify their effectiveness. I informed you some years ago that Serrapeptase is apparently active in the cleaning of coronary arteries from occluding layers. The results are so spectacular that even Tom Valentine reported on this progress in the US (DC) press after speaking to several parties here.
Serrapeptase is an enzyme produced by serratia bacteria living in silkworms. With this enzyme the worms melt a hole out of the cocoon. Unlike other enzymes in the field of biology, Serrapeptase dissolves ‘dead’ tissue, but not the silk and apparently also fibrinoid layers in the arteries which chemically could be compared to silk.
A special problem in today’s civilized society is occluding processes in the carotid arteries of the neck. Very often we see patients where surgeons were reluctant to operate or to apply drill or laser technology to such occluded carotids. The reason for this is the potential risk that surgical debris will be pushed into the smaller cerebral vessels.
We have, therefore, started to apply Serrapeptase treatment to cases of severe narrowings of the carotid arteries, mostly in patients showing severe symptoms due to the narrowing, including amaurosis fugax (intermittent blindness). The therapeutic results are excellent, certainly lifesaving. It is, however, mandatory that the therapy be conducted for a very long time. The first reliable results can be expected after 6-8 months. Even up to 18 months after the onset of Serrapeptase therapy, patients have still displayed improvement.
I have also found Serrapeptase to be an extraordinary substance for safely removing fibrous blockages from coronary arteries, particularly the carotid arteries found in the neck, which supply blood to the brain….

Serratiopeptidase is thought to work in three ways.
- Anti-inflammatory: serratiopeptidase reduces swelling by the process of decreasing the amount of fluid in the tissues, thinning the fluid, and by facilitating the drainage of fluid. In addition, its enzyme activity dissolves dead tissue surrounding the injured area so that healing is accelerated.5,6 It may also act by modifying cell-surface adhesion molecules that guide inflammatory cells to their target site of inflammation. These adhesion molecules play an important role in the development of arthritis and other autoimmune diseases.6
- Analgesic: it may help alleviate pain by inhibiting the release of pain-inducing amines like bradykinin from inflamed tissues.1
- Fibrinolytic/caseinolytic: it may be beneficial in atherosclerotic disease as it acts by breaking down fibrin and other dead or damaged tissue without harming living tissue. This could enable the dissolution of blood clots, and atherosclerotic plaques.22
5. Conclusions
The present study suggests that the oral supplements Serracor-NK and Serra Rx improve symptoms, the ability to perform activities of daily living, and mental and physical well-being, thus enhancing overall quality of life in patients with pulmonary fibrosis. While there is no drug to cure IPF, these supplements can help to alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life in PF patients. This study was performed as a proof of concept. Further assessment in randomized, placebo-controlled trials with larger populations and for longer durations are warranted.

One time, about 1995, I was “VP of Operational Administration” for a small manufacturing company. This meant that I ran the accounting department and the production floor. I was in a meeting, and my lead accounting person requested I step out.
As we stepped out and closed the door, she told me that one of the accounting staff was having some sort of fit. As we moved down to the accounting room, she said that the staffer had told her not to call 911.
When I hit the doorway, the staffer was standing, half bent over her desk, clutching the edge, and spasming. The color of her face matched her blue jeans. I turned to my lead and said, “call 911.”
As we later came to find out, the staffer — who was only 22 or so — had a serious heart defect from childhood. She had let it go for so long that doctors were now saying it was inoperable. Shortly thereafter, she left our company to work at a disk drive place because she reckoned the business was more stable.

The concert was very nice. Jon Anderson looks, moves, and sounds terrific — it’s amazing that he’s 81 years old.
When I got there, they immediately insisted that I swap my balcony seat for one on the first floor. but closer. This meant that I could not look straight forward and I was subject to having people walk in front of me (at least I wasn’t on the floor). One individual on the floor in front of my section insisted on interpretive dance throughout the show — people kept getting moved to areas that didn’t have to look through him. Didn’t bother me, I wasn’t looking straight ahead — I was looking left (got a crick in my neck).
Anticipating that I was going to be in the first row of the balcony. I had brought binox. I also had reading glasses and standard glasses. Wearing the reading glasses, everything further than six feet was iffy…..wearing the standard glasses, everything less than 12 feet away was problematic. The seat I got moved to was close enough that the standard glasses covered almost everything I wanted to see.
Starting from the right side (as viewed from the audience), there was a bassist. He used a black Ricky (classic 4001?) for the first half, then switched to bright green Ricky (nouveau 4003?) for the first half of the second half, then switched back to black. The character of a Rickenbacker bass is so distinctive, and the sound just states “Prog”. I understand, however, that each one is an individual and you must thoroughly play one you want to buy before you lay your money down.
Next was a keyboard pit. The ones facing the audience were a Nord on top of a Kurzweil. The Nord was used for B-3 sounds. Facing the rest of the band was a Yamaha KX88 — this is a keyboard controller and has no onboard sounds. It was used for piano parts. Facing the back of the stage was another keyboard……but, facing away from the audience, I have no idea what it was. I couldn’t even see the knobs up on stage to try to guess.
Jon would be the next. Besides his unmistakable voice, he played a tambourine, a little guitar (ukelele?) and a small harp in a body harness. It’s easy to dismiss Jon as a bit of a doofus, but he actually composed and performed a multi-instrumental album with over 120 recorded tracks in his garage — Olias of Sunhillow [1975]. In this, he played stringed instruments, keyboards, and percussion. In addition, despite his own limitations, he was key to recruiting Steve Howe, Alan White, and Rick Wakeman to the band.
Moving on to the drums, the kit was set up to emphasize large showy extended playing on the sides The drummer is to be commended for the dynamics of his parts — some very shy and subtle, while others very bold and hammering — which, of course, is necessary for Yes music. He shifted between soft beaters to sticks at various times and during one song actually abandoned the drum kit to go play keyboards. I could say “he ain’t no Bill Bruford”, but — to be frank — few people occupy these heights. When the band was being introduced, he [rightfully] got tremendous applause.
On the left, we had the main guitarist. He had several acoustic and electrics to play and frequently played one guitar with a different one slung behind his back. He also had one mounted on a “play-over” stand. When he wanted to do Steve Howe most closely, he used an ES-335-ish guitar.
The final performer played keys and guitar. His keyboard was a Yamaha, with what looked like an added display — although this might have been just a sheet music display. Because he was standing behind his keyboard, I couldn’t get a read on his guitar besides suspecting it was a strat-type. He also borrowed acoustics from the main guitarist along the way and lent his keyboard to the drummer.

My going off antihistamines over a year ago is probably a direct result of taking them consistently as well as getting gut health in order. As with many positive things, I wish I had learned about it and tried it earlier in life. A lot of unnecessary suffering by not knowing.

She’s also a paid court-appointed translator for Portuguese-speaking defendants.
She tried to get on a list of translators so she could be more easily assigned to cases. She had to be interviewed in Portuguese. She failed the test three times yet no defendant has ever asked the court to replace her.
That’s when she told me about Brazilian accents. Her accent reveals her to be of a lower class/caste in Brazil while her interviewer was upper class. She asked me if there was any way for her to be interviewed by a lower class Brazilian naturalized US citizen because there was nothing wrong with her ability to speak Portuguese.
Just her accent. Leaving Brazil didn’t leave the bias behind.

Trump should keep pushing the issue wherever he can and force the court to reckon with the logic of its decision. Will they overrule the insular cases next?

Oh and BTW, Eisen needs to be charged with violating conflict-of-interest rules by whatever Bar Association issued his Bar card. Certain conflicts of interest cannot be waived while others can be.

We’ll see if the legal profession can objectively police itself. Call me a pessimist but I doubt that Eisen will even be charged, let alone disbarred.

Theo Wold was just interviewed about the “immigration” situation. Apparently the birth tourism is a huge thing at the universities, these young women are 7-8 months when they come, have their babies here, then immediately quit their master’s program or whatever they’re in and go home.
He explains that the argument commonly used, that America needs workers, only applies if you think the work which needs doing is producing subversive “citizens.”
People keep talking about reevaluating visas; I’d stop all – yes, ALL – visas to female students. And if that’s unconstitutional then stop all visas to all foreign students.
Really have to be brutal and thorough to stop or minimize the demographic replacement that supposedly isn’t happening.

Just remember, the billions in losses are not because there is no market for EVs. Tesla can’t make them fast enough. Expecting record sales at the upcoming earnings call.
The reason legacy automakers lose billions of dollars trying to make EVs is because:
1) they are not vertically integrated, they outsource everything, and everyone takes their cut, so the end product is not (cannot be) price competitive with Tesla
2) they have a corporate culture that rewards status quo and punishes innovation; like any multi-generational company that has survived for so long, they are set in their ways.
3) envy, ego and pride prevent them from simply copying what Tesla has done, even though Elon has shown them his factories and left many of the key developments unpatented, to encourage others to follow his lead
4) even if they overcome their ego, envy and pride, it is going to cost BILLIONS to build whole new factories (just like it cost Tesla), designed from the ground up, to produce EVs. You can’t just switch an ICE car line to an EV car line and call it ‘good’, it doesn’t work that way.
They are completely different products. They just look similar on the outside and in the cabin.
And none of the above matters. No one will listen at legacy auto, and no one else cares.
So legacy auto will keep blaming the product, saying there is no market for EVs, and legacy media will keep covering for them, while Tesla just keeps selling more EVs (3 years in a row now) than any other car in the world.
Everyone chooses what they want to believe and what they want to deny, and then lives in their own chosen fantasy.

QUALITY, QUALITY, QUALITY!
With the introduction of ISO (International Standards Organization) real quality walked out the door. The focus became filling out paperwork and NOT producing good quality.
I just watched an interview yesterday with one of the chief engineers at Tesla, a guy named Lars Molavy.
When the car comes off the line (which apparently is nearly 100% automated now), it is (laser?) scanned for body panel fitment, so if there is any problem, the body crew knows exactly what needs attention.
They also do test laps, including what looks like at least a quarter mile of rumble strips, like alternating speed bumps. The interviewer asked what that was for, and Lars said it was to find any rattles in the car.
Since the car has microphones in the interior (so you can talk to Grok), they figured out that they can also “listen” for rattles and other sounds that shouldn’t be there (guessing Grok does the listening, not a person), and through some kind of means (sonic triangulation maybe?), figure out where the ‘rattle’ is coming from, and fix it, before the car ever leaves the factory.
REAL QUALITY CONTROL! 
Tesla seems to be “the” place to go, if you are an engineer and you want to solve real problems in the real world at the cutting edge of technology.
It’s a good interview, for anyone who might be interested.
The two guys interviewing Lars are youtubers who closely follow developments at Tesla (and now SpaceX).
The guy in the glasses is Jeff Lutz, his self-description on Tweeter says “CEO high tech manufacturing consulting on supply chain design, scale, cost, DFX. Ex Corp VP Supply Chain & CQO at Motorola, Google, Lenovo”
I don’t think Jeff has his own youtube channel, but he is a regular guest on several youtube channels that focus on Tesla.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

So I just learned recently that young people don’t know much about communism.
Funny yet not-funny story, I have a friend, bless her heart I love her to death but she is a millennial so 🙄 that got her PhD under the PI that I worked for and he almost drove her to a health breakdown. She ended up with a LOT of health problems, one of which is intermittent monthly cycle (sorry guys).
So chatting recently, I referred to that as “commies in the funhouse” and she didn’t get the joke because she didn’t know what commies are, never heard of them. So I asked around the young people at work and they too only vaguely know about communism, they think it’s something from the 1800s.
Good GRIEF!!!
PS – I had no idea that “commies in the funhouse” was slang for “that time of month”, but yeah, it’s a thing! LOL!!!

Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,

Heavenly Father, as I lie down to sleep tonight, I pray that You would guard my sleeping and protect my mind from wandering thoughts and unnecessary planning. Teach me to wait for Your perfect timing and not to try to plan my future in my own strength.
Lord, I know that You have scheduled every day of my life. Help me to trust You in all things and rely on You to lead me along the straight path and guide me in the direction that You would have me to go.
Give me patience to wait for Your perfect timing, and may I not trust in my own abilities and scheming, but rather rest in Your love and trust my future into Your hands.

Mike Johnson was on Kudlow this PM. He has a plan to insert at least the primary provisions of SAVE into the third reconciliation bill that is being worked on presently. He only has a one-two vote cushion, but thinks he can pull it off with a relatively “skinny” bill. Will insert some financial consideration into the SAVE provisions to pass muster with the Senate’s parliamentarian. I doubt she bucks the tide this time, they will have the ammo to override and toss her if she tries.
On the Senate side Collins is back in the boat, so that leaves Murkowski and Tillis out on limbs. Fetterman may vote for it. Looking like they may pull this off. If Turtle is out of commission, he cannot vote against it. JD is on speed dial to break a tie.
Johnson signaling this will be the approach to getting it done tells me they already have it mapped out. Will see how it goes.
