Dear KMAG: 20220516 Joe Biden Didn’t Win ❀ Open Topic

Joe Biden didn’t win. This is our Real President:

AND our beautiful REALFLOTUS.

This Stormwatch Monday Open Thread remains open – VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA/KAG/KMAG world (with KMAG being a bit of both).

And indeed, it’s Monday…again.

But we WILL get through it!

…and we will have fun doing it, too!

The Rules

Boilerplate, more or less, but worth reading again and again, if only for the minor changes, and to stay out of moderation.

The bottom line is Free Speech. Theories and ideas you don’t agree with must be WELCOME here, and you must be part of that welcoming. But you do NOT need to be part of any agreement.

Bottom line – respect other people’s FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS.

Our only additional requirement is that you do so NICELY. Or at least try to make some effort in that direction.

SO….. [ENGAGE BOILERPLATE…..]

We must endeavor to persevere to love our frenemies – even here.

Those who cannot deal with this easy requirement will be forced to jump the hoops of moderation, so that specific comments impugning other posters and violating the minimal rules can be sorted out and tossed in the trash.

In Wheatie’s words, “We’re on the same side here so let’s not engage in friendly fire.”

That includes the life skill of just ignoring certain other posters.

We do have a site – The U Tree – where civility is not a requirement. Interestingly, people don’t really go there much. Nevertheless, if you find yourself in an “argument” that can’t really stay civil, please feel free to “take it to the U Tree”. The U Tree is also a good place to report any technical difficulties, if you’re unable to report them here. Please post your comment there on one of Wolf’s posts, or in reply to one of Wolf’s comments, to make sure he sees it (though it may take a few hours).

We also have a backup site, called The Q Tree as well, which is really The Q Tree 579486807. You might call it “Second Tree”. The URL for that site is https://theqtree579486807.wordpress.com/. If this site (theqtree.com) ever goes down, please reassemble at the Second Tree.

If the Second Tree goes down, please go to The U Tree, or to our Gab Group, which is located at https://gab.com/groups/4178.

We also have some “old rules” and important guidelines, outlined here, in a very early post, on our first New Year’s Day, in 2019. The main point is not to make violent threats against people, which then have to be taken seriously by law enforcement, and which can be used as a PRETEXT by enemies of this site.

In the words of Wheatie, “Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven that Wolf has created for us.”

A Moment of Prayer

Our policy on extreme religious freedom on this site is discussed HERE. Please feel free to pray and praise God anytime and anywhere.

Thus, please pray for our real President, the one who actually won the election.

You may also pray for our nation, our world, and even our enemies.

Call To Battle

Our beloved country is under Occupation by hostile forces.

Daily outrage and epic phuckery abound.

We can give in to despair…or we can be defiant and fight back in any way that we can.

Joe Biden didn’t win.

And we will keep saying Joe Biden didn’t win until we get His Fraudulency out of our White House.

DEAR MAGA: TGIF Open Thread 20220513

Time to put the feet up.

Yes, folks, it’s martini time. DePat’s preferred method:

  • Load a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Pour in just enough dry vermouth to coat the ice. Drain…maybe.
  • Fill the shaker with Gin. Tanqueray is preferred, but any gin will work. Vodka is acceptable if no gin is available.
  • Close the shaker.
  • Shake. Do not stir.
  • Pour into martini glass where skewered olives are resting.
  • Sip slowly and savor.

According to one of my mother’s more anal retentive cousins, martini olives should always be odd in number. That was convenient when I was growing up as before my youngest brother arrived, Dad would have five olives in his cocktail: one for him, one for each of the rest of us.

Okay, this week:

  • Anti-life demonstrators have taken to invading and defacing churches ahead of the anticipated overturning of Roe vs. Wade…even if all that does is send the issue of legal abortion back to the states.
  • Major news outlets, including Fox and Newsmax, are not reporting anything on the documentary 2000 Mules, which outlines the massive ballot stuffing operation during the 2020 general election.
  • The Senate failed to pass a bill that would make abortion legal in all fifty states and do an end run around the Supreme Court.
  • The House of Representatives passed a $33 Billion relief package for Ukraine when the nation still needs massive work on the infrastructure.
  • The latest product to see shortages is baby formula. The government is sending lots of it to the southern border to feed babies coming across from Mexico, and the plant that’s been shuttered for months cannot get clearance from the FDA to begin producing said baby formula at this time. Naturally, Bill Gates has a product available.
  • Amid a fuel shortage, the entity known as Joe Biden put an additional moratoria on domestic drilling for oil.
  • And then there’s the Kathy Barnette controversy. President Trump finally addressed that.

Of course, that’s just the surface.

The housing bubble came up in a couple places:

What happens after our housing bubble collapses?

Having been a licensed real estate agent since 1995, I have some inside, eyewitness experience on the subject.  Primarily, bubbles are supposed to pop.  Financial trends tend to have momentum, which often leads to overshooting the reality of the market.  At the tail end of a seller’s real estate market, new listings tend to go on overpriced.  This is because analyses of comparable sales will often be extrapolated using the known appreciation trend, which has already run its course.  This is typically manifest as an increase in the days on market statistic.  A veteran agent once told me that there can never be anything wrong with a property that lowering the price cannot fix.

The political motive for screwing up the real estate market derives from a knee-jerk tendency to pander to the inner-city minority population.  They want to have more home ownership among the less credit-worthy.  Thomas Sowell, in The Vision of the Anointed, puts forth a really inconvenient fact: prior to the “Community Reinvestment Act,” inner-city minority homeowners had exactly the same foreclosure rate as white folks — the point being that traditional underwriting criteria were colorblind.  But that didn’t stop the demagogues, did it?  Nowadays, there’s scuttlebutt going around about the (ahem) federalization of real estate appraisal.  After all, there’s still not “adequate” minority home ownership…and the appraised values deserve to be tweaked in order to balance the equation.

There Goes The Housing Market

John Burns Real Estate Consulting provides a monthly snapshot of more than 300 builders across the nation. Here are a some comments from the builders, according to tweets from the firm’s director of research:

Demand is slowing, namely entry-level due to payment shock.

Investors are pulling back.

Ripple effect of rising rates starting to hit move-up market.

If you’re thinking about selling for the inflated prices, now is the time to do it.

Any ideas?

Oops. How’d that get in there.

And now for the business portion of the post borrowed from Tuesday:

Guidelines for posting and discussion on this site were outlined by our host, WolfM00n. Please, review them from time to time.

The discourse on this site is to be CIVIL – no name calling, baiting, or threatening others here is allowed. Those who are so inclined may visit Wolf’s other sanctuary, the U-Tree, to slog it out. There is also a “rescue” thread there for members of the Tree to rendezvous if the main site goes kablooey. A third site has been added for site outages of longer duration.

This site is a celebration of the natural rights endowed to humans by our Creator as well as those enshrined in the Bill of Rights adopted in the founding documents of the United States of America. Within the limits of law, how we exercise these rights is part of the freedom of our discussion.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

And Auntie DePat’s requests:

If you see something has not been posted, do us all a favor, and post it. Please, do not complain that it has not been done yet.

The scroll wheel on your mouse can be your friend. As mature adults, please use it here in the same manner you would in avoiding online porn.

JOHN 14:1-6

1“Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4And you know the way where I am going.” 5Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” 6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.

Once again, JP hits entirely too close to home.

Have a great weekend.

2022·05·07 Joe Biden Didn’t Win Daily Thread

SPECIAL SECTION: Message For Our “Friends” In The Middle Kingdom

I normally save this for near the end, but…basically…up your shit-kicking barbarian asses. Yes, barbarian! It took a bunch of sailors in Western Asia to invent a real alphabet instead of badly drawn cartoons to write with. So much for your “civilization.”

Yeah, the WORLD noticed you had to borrow the Latin alphabet to make Pinyin. Like with every other idea you had to steal from us “Foreign Devils” since you rammed your heads up your asses five centuries ago, you sure managed to bastardize it badly in the process.

Have you stopped eating bats yet? Are you shit-kickers still sleeping with farm animals?

Or maybe even just had the slightest inkling of treating lives as something you don’t just casually dispose of?

中国是个混蛋 !!!
Zhōngguò shì gè hùndàn !!!
China is asshoe !!!

And here’s my response to barbarian “asshoes” like you:

OK, with that rant out of my system…

Biden Gives Us Too Much Credit

…we can move on to the next one.

Apparently Biden (or his puppeteer) has decided we’re to blame for all of the fail in the United States today.

Sorry to disappoint you Joe (or whoever), but you managed to do that all on your own; not only that, you wouldn’t let us NOT give you the chance because you insisted on cheating your way into power.

Yep, you-all are incompetent, and so proud of it you expect our applause for your sincerity. Fuck that!!

It wouldn’t be so bad, but you insist that everyone else have to share in your misery. Nope, can’t have anyone get out from under it. Somehow your grand vision only works if every single other person on earth is forced to go along. So much as ONE PERSON not going along is enough to make it all fail, apparently.

In engineering school we’re taught that a design that has seven to eight billion single points of failure…sucks.

Actually, we weren’t taught that. Because it would never have occurred to the professors to use such a ridiculous example.

Justice Must Be Done.

The prior election must be acknowledged as fraudulent, and steps must be taken to prosecute the fraudsters and restore integrity to the system.

Nothing else matters at this point. Talking about trying again in 2022 or 2024 is hopeless otherwise. Which is not to say one must never talk about this, but rather that one must account for this in ones planning; if fixing the fraud is not part of the plan, you have no plan.

Kamala Harris has a new nickname since she finally went west from DC to El Paso Texas: Westward Hoe.

Busy Week

Between 2000 Mules and the SCOTUS leak, things have been hectic out there. The latter item is “real” to the establishment (i.e., the Left), and they’re melting down. 2000 Mules, on the other hand, isn’t “real” to them.

I’m sure you’ve noticed now that no revelation gets any sort of traction in Washington DC, traction that causes someone in authority to actually act, until it gets into the Yellow Stream Media. (And these days, only information they want to act on, gets there.) 2000 Mules will probably never do so; and if not, it won’t show up on the DC radar and nothing will come of it. The claim that the election was stolen will continue to be dismissed by anyone who has any power to do something about it.

This is not the same as them not knowing about the election being stolen. They do know. It’s just that while the YSM isn’t hollering and screaming about it, they can ignore it. And they do. The YSM still continues to act as agenda billboard, and the Left controls the YSM. So this week we deal with abortion, not the stolen election. Last week it was Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine.

Lawyer Appeasement Section

OK now for the fine print.

This is the WQTH Daily Thread. You know the drill. There’s no Poltical correctness, but civility is a requirement. There are Important Guidelines,  here, with an addendum on 20191110.

We have a new board – called The U Tree – where people can take each other to the woodshed without fear of censorship or moderation.

And remember Wheatie’s Rules:

1. No food fights
2. No running with scissors.
3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.
4. Zeroth rule of gun safety: Don’t let the government get your guns.
5. Rule one of gun safety: The gun is always loaded.
5a. If you actually want the gun to be loaded, like because you’re checking out a bump in the night, then it’s empty.
6. Rule two of gun safety: Never point the gun at anything you’re not willing to destroy.
7. Rule three: Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
8. Rule the fourth: Be sure of your target and what is behind it.

(Hmm a few extras seem to have crept in.)

Spot Prices

All prices are Kitco Ask, 3PM MT Friday (at that time the markets close for the weekend).

Last week:

Gold $1.897.70
Silver $22.84
Platinum $948.00
Palladium $2,404.00
Rhodium $18,800.00

So here it is, Friday, 3PM MT after markets closed and we see:

Gold $1,884.10
Silver $22.44
Platinum $966.00
Palladium $2,122.00
Rhodium $17,400.00

Precious metals continue their downward slide. This is partially due to manipulation, but the fact of the matter is that investors will put their money where it will make a return. With interest rates going up, they actually like dollars, because dollars earn more interest. Gold, to them, is a way to not lose money most of the time.

JWST Update

JWST instrument commissioning proceeds apace.

NASA made a blog post explaining one of the more practical aspects of the James Web Space Telescope. Where can it point?

It must perpetually present the heat shield towards the sun, or it’s toast. Literally. Well, “toast” is a relative term; getting up to room temperature would be bad for the optics and sensors.

James Web Space Telescope. Mirror in gold, sunshield in gray “below” it.

So it seems like JWST can only look at half of the sky, basically the same half someone on Earth would see at midnight, with the sun on the other side of the big heat shield we call Planet Earth. And it doesn’t rotate like we do here, which lets us see almost all of the sky between just-after-sunset and just-before-sunrise, with the thin band in between only up when the sun is up and thus washed out. So even though we can see most of the sky on any given night, JWST can only see half of the sky (albeit 24/7, there being no daytime for it), right? [Note: I am ignoring the effect–on the Earth observer–of latitude, which permanently hides part of the sky from him or her, but on the other hand allows other parts of the sky to be seen any time at night.]

Yes, and no. JWST in orbit about the sun, once a year (since it sits at Earth/Sun L2), so six months from now, it can see the other half of the sky, just like our midnight astronomer here on Earth.

But it’s a bit more restricted than that. The JWST mirror cannot be moved. It’s not on any kind of a swivel. It cannot swivel either left-right or up-down in the picture above.

To aim the telescope, the entire spacecraft has to be rotated, with gyros. In the picture above it can be rotated 360 degrees about a “vertical” axis, keeping the sunshade where it is but turning it (and the antenna) like a record on a record player. (This is the yaw direction of rotation.)

It can also tip, just a bit, up and down, “nodding” basically, this is called the pitch direction. It has about a 50 degree travel in the pitch direction, as shown in the following two diagrams.

When JWST’s sun shield is face on to the sun, that shield is getting the maximum amount of solar radiation, and thus this is called the “hot” attitude. When the telescope is pointed halfway towards being pointed directly away from the sun, the sun shield is presented to the sun at a 45 degree angle and thus collects 70.7% percent as much energy as in the “hot” attitude (i.e., the sine of 135 degrees). We don’t dare tip the spacecraft any more than that lest the actual telescope (and sensors) be exposed directly to the sun (and thereby become “toast”).

The practical effect is that the patch of sky directly opposite of the sun cannot be looked at by JWST; that part lies outside the telescope’s “field of regard.” However if you actually want to look at something there, you can wait three months and get it when that patch of sky is at a 90 degree angle to the sun because JWST has moved 90 degrees around the sun.

Over the course of one year, JWST has access to the entire sky.

Full explanation here:

The Hot and Cold of Webb – James Webb Space Telescope (nasa.gov)

As to the current commissioning activity, at least part of it is “astrometric calibration.” In other words, if we tell the telescope to point at such-and-such pitch and yaw, what does each sensor actually see? There might be a tiny bit of error from what we would expect, no instrument is exact straight from the fabrication. We’ll be able to specify an exact right ascension and declination (the analogues to longitude and latitude in the sky) and know exactly how to rotate the spacecraft to look at that point.

There’s a lot more to it than that, but I’m going to let NASA explain it:

Examining the Heart of Webb: The Final Phase of Commissioning – James Webb Space Telescope (nasa.gov)

Other Space News

Do you remember the moon rocket that was undergoing a “wet dress rehearsal”?

Well, it has gone through several of them, and the test was a success. They found problems they now know they need to correct.

Yes, I called it a success, even though the spacecraft would have likely malfunctioned if it had launched. Because that’s the purpose of testing: to find such problems. We found them. A test isn’t a failure just because it found something wrong; it’s a failure if it fails to find problems that do exist.

If you remember the attention given to something called Biosphere 2 about 25 years ago, that’s another example. Biosphere 2 was an attempt to build a large, perfectly sealed greenhouse and see if people could live in it indefinitely, growing their own food and being sustained as part of a balanced system (plants to absorb the CO2 they exhaled and generate O2 for them to breathe).

The idea is if we are ever to start living in space or on other planets, we need to know how to do this, at least long enough to “terraform” other planets (make them more earthlike and establish an earthlike biosphere on them so we can live there as if we were native to the place). A long manned space mission probably won’t be able to bring several years’ worth of food along; we’ll have to grow it…inside a tin can that had better not leak. The only resource “out there” is sunlight (and that’s the one thing that could get in and out of Biosphere 2 once the doors were sealed).

It was a test of our ability to make a closed system.

And the test “failed.” The concrete in the structure continued to absorb oxygen even after we thought it was done curing.

But it wasn’t a failure; we learned a lot from it. Sure on one level our first attempt at building a closed system “failed” because it couldn’t sustain people for two years, but no one actually expected it to work perfectly; the point of the exercise was to discover what we don’t know. And for that, it worked beautifully.

Biosphere 2 is still standing; you can take tours of it. It’s being used for botanical research because it’s the most isolated environment on earth (even with people traipsing about on tours).

DEAR MAGA: TGIF Open Thread 20220506

Are you ready kids?

https://twitter.com/TheFigen/status/1521885855979290628

In honor of the weekend and tomorrow’s annual sign of spring, we bring you:

A FURLONG TOO LATE:

INGREDIENTS

2 oz Light rum

4 oz Ginger beer

1 twist of Lemon peel

PREPARATION

  • Fill a highball glass almost full with ice cubes.
  • Pour the rum and ginger beer.
  • Stir well.
  • Garnish with the lemon twist.

Has to be less lethal than a mint julip, right?

Okay, this week:

  • Someone at the Supreme Court who is still unknown as of this writing leaked a draft opinion that indicates Roe vs. Wade will be overturned this term. All hell broke loose.
  • The documentary “2,000 Mules” about the mail-in ballot stuffing operation in the 2020 general election premiered to sold out theatres nationwide.
  • Primaries in Indiana and Ohio saw a clean sweep of MAGA candidates as all of President Donald Trump’s endorsed candidates won their primary races.
  • Pfizer dumped a whole lot of data on the clot shots that is revealing they knew what damage would be caused before the rollout of the “vaccines” now blamed for many health calamities.
  • Information surfaced that the Center for Disease Control tracked COVID quarantine compliance by purchasing data from a third party that collects mobile phone data.
  • A new poll claims more voters believe in the media than Congress.
  • Three states file lawsuit against the Biden Administration for censorship.
  • Elon Musk took his mother to an expensive fundraiser.
  • A judge in the Sussmann case being investigated by John Durham is reviewing the “attorney-client privilege” claimed by the defendent.
  • The CDC tried to reimpose the mask nonsense.
  • A majority of Americans want voter ID for elections. 84%. That’s more than a majority. That’s just about everybody.

Of course, that’s just the surface.

American Politics Are Exhausting

I don’t know about the rest of you, but politics in America has become really, really exhausting. We bounce around from one freaking political or government crisis to the next one, and we’re never given a single moment to try to catch our breath.

Every single day Democrats are calling anyone who doesn’t believe as they do vile names, and Republicans while generally not as graphic as their Democrat counterparts, are still at times also guilty of extreme rhetoric. Whatever happened to reasonable people sitting down and hashing things out and coming to a mutually acceptable agreement, without the vitriol and accusations that permeate our current political discourse?

Is that gone for good? Have we reached a point where our political discourse will never again be calm and measured? I sure hope not, because I’m exhausted watching all the drama coming out of Washington. Our politicians on both sides of the aisle have forgotten the time-worn tradition that ‘what governs the best, governs the least’. Once the political class gets involved in anything they make it worse.

But it just seems that our professional political class revels in stirring up the emotions of their constituents over contentious issues. Keeping people on edge, frightened, and angry. If they don’t have a contentious issue they create one. Whatever it takes to fire up their base. It has become all about winning elections instead of governing. Both parties are now in a constant state of political campaigns, now and then fitting in a vote on naming a post office after someone.

Okay, this is just cool.

This is not a bad thing in the overall scheme of society.

1But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest 2and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. 3Now as he journeyed he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed about him. 4And he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” 5And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting; 6but rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.” 7The men who were traveling with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one. 8Saul arose from the ground; and when his eyes were opened, he could see nothing; so they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. 9And for three days he was without sight, and neither ate nor drank. 10Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Anani’as. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Anani’as.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” 11And the Lord said to him, “Rise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for a man of Tarsus named Saul; for behold, he is praying, 12and he has seen a man named Anani’as come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight.” 13But Anani’as answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to thy saints at Jerusalem; 14and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call upon thy name.” 15But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; 16for I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.” 17So Anani’as departed and entered the house. And laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came, has sent me that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes and he regained his sight. Then he rose and was baptized, 19and took food and was strengthened. For several days he was with the disciples at Damascus. 20And in the synagogues immediately he proclaimed Jesus, saying, “He is the Son of God.”

Have a great weekend.

Dear KMAG: 20220502 Joe Biden Didn’t Win ❀ Open Topic

Wolfie’s Wheatie’s Word of the Day Week:

aeroponics

noun

the process of growing plants in an air or mist environment without the use of soil or an aggregate medium.

adjective: aeroponic

Used in a sentence:

Aeroponics systems [sic] can reduce water usage by 98 percent, fertilizer usage by 60 percent, and pesticide usage by 100 percent, all while maximizing crop yields.

Used in another sentence:

Aeroponics may also involve managing CO2 levels in the air within the system, which in turn affects the rate of photosynthesis within the plants.

DEAR MAGA: TGIF Open Thread 20220429

Now that the little garden gnome has declared the pandemic phase of COVID over, we can all dip from a community punch bowl. Today’s cocktail:

Texas Bar Punch

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 liters(2 bottles) ruby port
  • 1 liter ginger ale
  • 1 liter lemon-lime soda
  • 1 sliced lemon
  • 1 sliced orange

INSTRUCTIONS

1 Pour the port ginger ale and soda into a large punch bowl and stir well

2 Add one large block of ice

3 Add lemon and orange slices and serve

4 Makes 20 (6-ounce) punch cups.

Wow that sounds just a bit too sweet.

Okay, this week:

  • France “re-elected” Emmanuel Macron in an election that the more awake among us – including the French – really do believe was stolen.
  • Elon Musk bought Twitter outright and the left lost its marbles even if Musk himself says that in the end no one is going to be happy on the extremes of either side when he makes the place a bastion of free speech.
  • The World Health Organization is seeking to amend a treaty so that all sovereign nations will have to bow to its dictates.
  • Ukraine demands American taxpayer money to fund whatever they are funding as if they are entitled to our money.
  • The Biden Administration is establishing a Ministry of Truth that may or may not have teeth to it right after the Twitter announcement. Since there are no coincidences, the timing is most curious.
  • China is threatening to lockdown Beijing. The downstream results of that would be disastrous world-wide.
  • The USDA is looking to ban menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars.
  • And Special Prosecutor John Durham’s team “accidentally” leaked information that tied the case he is building to known Democrat lawyer/operative Marc Elias.

Of course, that’s just the surface.

There’s more.

White House NSA Organizes Security Summit With 50 Nation Peers to Discuss Future of the Internet

What could possibly go wrong when the National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, organizes a “minister level launch of the Declaration for the Future of the Internet.” Put more succinctly, that would be 50 nation intelligence ministers getting together to decide what they will permit on the internet.

Apparently, a collective partner rule book is forthcoming. Big Tech will be given specific instructions on how to comply.

The global rulebook on how to handle, define and eliminate ‘disinformation’, ‘misinformation’ and ‘malinformation’ on the world-wide internet.

Oh, hey nothing suspicious there. Just a bunch of bureaucrats wanting to dictate what the people of planet earth think.

However, there is hope when the more intellectual conservative sites like American Thinker publish stuff like this:

Or perhaps the real quandary is this: who actually benefits from all these magnificent “achievements”?  Certainly not the American people!  Most Americans alive today have never been more financially insecure, less safe, or more uncertain about their futures.  Never have so many Americans or their loved ones been struggling with alcohol and drug addictions.  Never have Americans reported feelings of isolationloneliness, and despondency in such high numbers across all demographics.  Never have more Americans agreed that the nation is following a broken moral compass and headed in the wrong direction.  After years of enduring psychological abuse from governing institutions selling nothing but fear and invasive bureaucratic mandates, parts of the country look as if they’ve been rattled into a permanent state of PTSD.  Too many Americans are stumbling around like the walking wounded, waiting to endure the next round of pain that will surely come their way.

So, if not Americans, then who exactly is celebrating this deadly Jo’Bama jubilee?  Let’s see — there are the narco-terrorists and sex slave–traffickers who have never had an easier time importing murder and misery at the border — especially when they can count on the feds’ assistance in transporting their “products” across the U.S. at no extra charge!  The Chamber of Commerce’s support for Biden’s candidacy over President Trump’s re-election has been rewarded with a steady supply of cheap labor from off-the-book illegal aliens (none dare call it slavery!).  Obviously, the home nations of all the illegal aliens wiring American dollars back to their families are net winners, benefiting from both reduced welfare obligations to their depleted populations and increased flows of taxable remittances.  And the Democrats, who perversely measure their personal power according to the scope of government’s reach, profit from tens of millions of illegal aliens bloating an already morbidly obese American welfare system of government largesse.

Let’s not forget all the once-bankrupt blue states and cities that are now flush with COVID and “climate change” financial windfalls that will, to no one’s surprise, fund political insiders and pet projects having nothing to do with either so-called emergency.  Certainly, “non-profit” Democrat-aligned interest groups have won the lottery as their war chests are now overflowing from the direct injection of stimulus dollars set aside for “good causes” that serendipitously happen to all be Democrat party causes, too.

Both Big Pharma and Big Defense are raking in big cash, especially considering that before the coincidental arrivals of the COVID pandemic and NATO’s proxy war in Ukraine, our legalized drug-dealers were weathering class action lawsuits for their role in addicting millions of Americans to opiates, and our perpetual war machine was navigating how to wind down two decades of conflict in the Middle East and Central Asia while maximizing its bottom line.  Defense industry lobbyists can’t afford for wars to be won quickly.  Pharmaceutical lobbyists can’t afford the prospect of actually curing disease.  If “vaccines” worked or trillion-dollar defense budgets defeated enemies, everybody’d be out of a job.  Good news: In Biden’s America, there will be plenty of disease and war for all!

It’s not pretty, but then XVII never said it would be, just glorious in the end.

Schlichter seems to think that the people will hold the line:

After decades of incoming fire by an aggressive left that wants to convert us into impoverished, gender-baffled serfs with no ability to participate in our own governance, we have a right to demand that the people wanting to lead the fight actually understand that we are in a fight. And we are now demanding that. You better not waver, you better not waffle, not if you want a future in this GOP.

Kristi Noem was weighed and found wanting. She sided with the Chamber of Commercecons against a law protecting girls’ sports and then lectured us that we were too dumb to understand how her total surrender was actually a massive victory. That’s when she lost her mojo – the based base was done with her. She’s toast – and if Trump or DeSantis or anyone else thinks about naming her VP (her anticipated presidential campaign is deader than CNN+), he’ll hear about it loud and clear.

You can’t betray us anymore and survive. W did. Mitt did. McCain did. The cons have one thing in common with Felonia Milhous von Pantsuit – they’ve been cheated on a zillion times, but unlike that lumpy harpy (who recently, and utterly predictably, came out foursquare in favor of censorship, as losers often do) modern conservatives are refusing to tolerate adultery, in our case of an ideological nature.

That doesn’t mean that the establishment isn’t going to band together and try to find a way to keep the peasants in line.

New York State Appellate Court Rules Against Democrat Gerrymandering Effort, 2022 Primary Likely Delayed

The 78-page ruling is available here.  The state appeals court ruled 4-3 against the democrats. The June 28, 2022, primary will likely be moved to August because the state now needs to redraw the congressional districts.

(Via MSM) – […] The New York State Court of Appeals said the three maps violated the state’s Constitution by creating political bias. The maps were “procedurally unconstitutional, and the congressional map is also substantively unconstitutional as drawn with impermissible partisan purpose,” the court said.

[…] With no more appeals and time running out, the court ordered the adoption of a neutral map by an outside expert. The court also recommended the state’s June 28 primary be moved to August.

“We are confident that, in consultation with the Board of Elections, Supreme Court can swiftly develop a schedule to facilitate an August primary election, allowing time for the adoption of new constitutional maps,” the court said.  (read more)

JOHN 6:1-15

1After this Jesus went to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiber’i-as. 2And a multitude followed him, because they saw the signs which he did on those who were diseased. 3Jesus went up on the mountain, and there sat down with his disciples. 4Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand. 5Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a multitude was coming to him, Jesus said to Philip, “How are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?” 6This he said to test him, for he himself knew what he would do. 7Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii would not buy enough bread for each of them to get a little.” 8One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him, 9“There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two fish; but what are they among so many?” 10Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place; so the men sat down, in number about five thousand. 11Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated; so also the fish, as much as they wanted. 12And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, “Gather up the fragments left over, that nothing may be lost.” 13So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves, left by those who had eaten. 14When the people saw the sign which he had done, they said, “This is indeed the prophet who is to come into the world!” 15Perceiving then that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, Jesus withdrew again to the mountain by himself.

No new JP today, but Tucker has a good one.

Why does the media pit race v race?
Why does the media pit religion v religion?

And that system of control is working overtime to be sure that any alternative viewpoints are shut down as soon as they are presented. Sundance has a piece on that.

Former Intel Officials Want Efforts to Break Up Big Tech Stopped – Data Control and Retention of Social Media Partnership Is a National Security Imperative

Former Obama era intelligence officials, those who helped construct, organize and assemble the public-private partnership between intelligence data networks and supported social media companies, have written a letter to congress warning that any effort to break up Big Tech (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google, Microsoft, etc.) would be catastrophic for the national security system they have created.

[READ LETTER HERE]

Citing the information control mechanisms they assembled, vis-a-vis the ability of social media networks to control and approve what is available for the public to read and review, the intelligence officials declare that any effort to break up the private side of the intel/tech partnership will only result in less ability of the intelligence apparatus to control public opinion.

They willfully admit that open and uncensored information is adverse to the interests of the intelligence state and therefore too dangerous to permit.   They specifically argue, if the modern system created by the partnership between the U.S. government and Big Tech is not retained, the national security of the United States is compromised.  Let that sink in for a moment.

The entire piece is worth a read, and SHOCKER, the letter was actually signed by Admiral Mike Rogers.

So, the question of who is wearing what color hat or is a mole in one operation or the other is still on the table.

That makes Elon Musk’s moves even more intriguing.

Elon Musk, whom multiple outlets have called “the real Tony Stark,” is maneuvering to take over one of the biggest tech companies in the world — no small task. Undeterred by the board’s rejection of his first offer of $43 billion to purchase Twitter, Musk now appears to be moving to “plan B.”

According to The Daily Wire, Musk, the world’s richest man, “slightly shifted his strategy in his attempt to buy out Twitter and take the company private.”

The New York Post reports that Musk, who offered to buy Twitter on April 14, is now seeking to finance the takeover plan “in a complex deal that raises debt against both the company and possibly his own stock, as well as a giant cash equity infusion from co-investors.”

This plan differs from the plan detailed in an SEC filing last week, which stated he was “offering to buy 100% of Twitter for $54.20 per share in cash, a 54% premium over the day before I began investing in Twitter and a 38% premium over the day before my investment was publicly announced.”

Sources reportedly told the New York Post that Musk was now planning to increase his original $3.4 billion investment in Twitter stock to up to $15 billion in order to take the company private.

He’s busy exposing the public/private partnership involving the Intelligence Community surveilling all of us all day every day for the totalitarian move it is.

And he’s serious about it, too.

One not so surprising piece of news:

CNN+ will shut down April 30, just one month after launch

Poor Chrissy Wallace, swamp guardian, chose poorly.

After a jubilant week in the friendly skies, White House spokeswhore Jen Psaki tried to get the people to ignore evidence of euphoria.

Speaking to reporters at the White House Wednesday, Press Secretary Jen Psaki mocked Americans who joyfully took off their masks earlier this week after a federal judge struck down the Centers for Disease Control mandate.

Psaki claimed “just one” plane full of passengers reacted positively to the news. There are dozens of videos showing relieved passengers freeing their faces, with thousands of flight reactions that went undocumented.

Which is why Twitter was loaded with videos of cheering passengers earlier in the week.

Reminds one of medical personnel at abortion clinics when exorcism prayers are read outside. They scream and throw tantrums just like demons about to be sent back to where they came from.

From Babylon Bee:

10 Changes DeSantis Has Ordered For Disney World

Florida legislature has revoked Disney’s self-governing status which means that some bold new changes are on the way. Disneyland in California will remain a popular site for human trafficking but the Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL is going to experience a dramatic overhaul.

Take a look at these exciting changes on the way:

1) The Hall of Presidents will just have 46 animatronic Donald Trumps: They are the greatest robots, maybe ever. Everyone says so.

2) Chip and Dale will now reside in separate trees: We can’t let our children be corrupted by cartoon characters having too close of a relationship.

3) Avatar land will be turned into an IP someone actually cares about like Krull: Wield a sentient weapon and save the world!

4) Only the original Star Wars trilogy may be spoken of: The prequel trilogy is too perfect to corrupt with human speech.

5) The only country featured in Epcot will be AMERICA: America is like a highlight reel of all the best countries anyway.

6) All Disney princesses to be replaced with Melania Trump: Finally, real diversity!

7) Weird Disney adults who come without kids will be banned: Yessss!!!

8) Human trafficking is strongly discouraged: And no more kids on leashes, you weirdos!

9) It’s A Small World attraction to be dismantled by tactical nuke: The area will be sealed off for thirty years.

10) Johnny Depp’s character will no longer wear eye shadow on the Pirates ride: Will also incorporate ex-wife Amber Heard in a redesigned auction scene.

You don’t say.

Anyone have that one on their Zombie Apocalypse BINGO card?

From the Gospel According to St. Matthew, Chapter 5:

And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain, and when he was set down, his disciples came unto him. [2] And opening his mouth, he taught them, saying: [3] Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [4] Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land. [5] Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

[3] “The poor in spirit”: That is, the humble; and they whose spirit is not set upon riches.

[6] Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill. [7] Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. [8] Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God. [9] Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called children of God. [10] Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

[11] Blessed are ye when they shall revile you, and persecute you, and speak all that is evil against you, untruly, for my sake: [12] Be glad and rejoice, for your reward is very great in heaven. For so they persecuted the prophets that were before you. [13] You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men. [14] You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid. [15] Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick, that it may shine to all that are in the house.

[16] So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. [17] Do not think that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. [18] For amen I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot, or one tittle shall not pass of the law, till all be fulfilled. [19] He therefore that shall break one of these least commandments, and shall so teach men, shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. But he that shall do and teach, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. [20] For I tell you, that unless your justice abound more than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

That’s not from today’s readings, but it never goes out of style.

And for those who let anxieties get to them:

I swear I’ve sung that at every funeral I’ve done in the last thirty years.

No new JP today.

Have a great weekend.

Dear KMAG: 20220418 Joe Biden Didn’t Win ❀ Open Topic

Wolfie’s Wheatie’s Word of the Day Year:

loxodrome

noun

line on the globe equally oblique to all meridians

an imaginary line on the surface of a sphere that crosses all meridians at the same angle, known also as a rhumb line

a curve on a surface of revolution that cuts all the meridians at a constant angle αα. If αα is an acute or obtuse angle, then a loxodrome performs infinitely many windings about the pole, getting closer and closer to it.

Used in a sentence:

“Throw Fauci into the Loxodrome!”
