Look at the Prime Ministers of the principal European countries, of Canada, Australia, and New Zealand: they were all recruited from the “Young Global Leaders for Tomorrow” group, and the fact that they are at the highest levels of leadership of these nations, of the UN, and of the World Bank ought to be more than sufficient to put them on trial for subversion and high treason. Those who have sworn to apply the laws in the interests of their own nations commit perjury at the moment in which they have to answer for their own actions not to the citizens of their nations but to faceless technocrats whom no one has elected.

It is easy to make the accusation that all this is a “conspiracy theory,” but such a dismissal no longer holds water, just like the accusation of “collaborationism” no longer works against anyone who expresses perplexity about the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and its management at the international level.

Those who do not want to understand the plot because they are afraid of what they might discover persist in denying that there is a script and a director, that there are actors and extras, sets and costumes. But can we really believe that the richest and most powerful people in the world would have agreed to launch such an attack on humanity in order to realize their delusional globalist dream, deploying an enormous amount of energy and resources, without having first planned everything in great detail and just leaving it all to chance? If people who intend to purchase a house or start a business carefully plan it all out, why should it be a “conspiracy theory” to recognize that in order to obtain unconfessable and criminal results, the elite must resort to lies and deception?

Yep. It was decades in the making.

Speaking of which, for those who did not make it to see “2000 Mules,” please, make an effort to see it on DVD if nothing else. It is definitely worth the time. Thanks to a friend who encouraged me to see it. There’s a lot to unpack. Two of the stars of the production made a difference in Arizona, a “swing state” among those flipped to steal the 2020 election.

…all of us were on the right track as it pertains to coming back before 2024. Which led me to believe the only logical way to come back sooner would be to overturn the election in some way, before the midterms. Otherwise my plan would be faster.

At the time I didn’t see an avenue for this to happen. But now, with the revelations from 2,000 Mules, and the overall posturing and messaging from Trump, it appears Trump and his circle knew/know about something pertaining to fraud in the 2020 election.

I don’t know what it is, or if it comes to fruition, but Trump and his inner circle seem to have a plan and they are confident in it.

This situation is rather unprecedented as you might imagine, so projecting a legal avenue is difficult without knowing more details. Is there a way to overturn the election outright with evidence of fraud? Would the US MIL step in to defend the Constitution and the will of the People? Would it require a “redo election” for the states/counties affected by fraud? Would we have to redo the entire election for all states? There’s already a federal election coming up, could they simply add the Presidential candidates from 2020 back on the ballot during the midterms?

No idea. But Trump continues to say he has a big move coming and it’s related to the 2020 election. Now with Gregg Phillips coming out with his statements about something “10x bigger than mules”.

My guess is they have identified the “organizations” where the ballots were being disseminated to the mules. They followed the money, climbed the ladder all the way to the top and figured out who was facilitating the entire fraud network.

And given Gregg Phillips’s background, it’s international in nature. Bank on it.

Here’s something else I wonder: How can a poor 18-year-old kid afford not one, but two AR-15s? These are expensive rifles—and he didn’t skimp on his, I’ve seen the pictures. I don’t think I could duplicate that setup for much less than $4,000. Who paid for the Uvalde shooter’s guns? 

And who trained him in their use? The AR-15 is easy to shoot, but it’s not intuitive. Playing video games won’t teach you how to manipulate the charging handle or the magazine release or the safety catch. The shooter clearly spent time with real AR-15s. But who showed him what to do? His mother or grandmother? The classmates he wasn’t friends with and who’d just turned 18 themselves?

Some person unknown to us bought this kid an AR-15, and taught him how to use it—and probably encouraged him to shoot up the school. 

And oddly enough, there is a similar unknown person in the Buffalo shooting. The shooter’s diary refers to a chat mentor known as “Sandman,” and quotes him as saying: “When the time finally comes to deal decisively with a whole host of society’s problems, and not go to prison for it, you’ll know.” (My italics.) Sandman advised the shooter in his choice of rifles as well. 

Could there be a pattern here?

An interesting observation: Because of the violence and danger in the neighborhoods of inner city schools, they have much stricter security inside the schools (than in white-collar suburban schools). When was the last time you heard of a mass shooting in an inner city school?

There are actually metal detectors in government schools in a number of places in the city.

I’m for debating anything

I taught English in government high schools for 23 years. The class I enjoyed teaching most was Speech and Debate. I chose the Lincoln-Douglas debate format, which calls for a 32-minute discussion. The two debaters are responsible for 16 minutes each as they spar. I always offered a wide range of topics to my students. The subjects had to be debatable, timely, and researchable. While some of the debates I witnessed in my classes were unremarkable, there were wonderful and sparkling exceptions that warmed my heart.

As I reached the final phase of my teaching, my school system abandoned teaching Speech and Debate in favor of catchalls like English 9, English 10, English 11, and English 12. Considering the “Cancel Culture” environment in which we now live, I wonder if that decision was part of a more significant effort to discourage lively debate in favor of groupthink.

Knowing how to think on our feet is essential. Hearing our debate opponent raise interesting arguments that must be rebutted challenges us intellectually. I applaud Delegate Hopkins and President Hutchins, both of whom relished the give and take of competing views. We are better when debate is welcomed, but Cancel Culture diminishes us.

Soros was vocal about Putin because Soros was a main ideologue in the Ukrainian biological network, and Putin exposed it. Even put Soros’ name and face in his military slide show accusing him of creating biological weapons. Putin exposed Soros’ corruption.

Soros was vocal about Trump because Soros was funding Antifa, BLM, Caravans, Kavanaugh protesters, etc., and had his tentacles in all levels of US politics and all branches, and Trump exposed it. Trump went on Fox News and called out Soros every time he funded riots or protests. Trump exposed Soros’ corruption.

So why is Soros now being vocal about Xi? Well, logic would suggest that Xi is looking to expose some of Soros’ corruption.

What is Xi looking to do? Move into Taiwan. Deductive Reasoning would suggest Soros has his tentacles in Taiwan and doesn’t want Xi to expose it.  But what is “it”?

We know there is heavy US influence in Taiwan and there are US funded labs there. But a lot of people suggest it’s microchip production the Chinese are after, as George Soros does have a large number, but not controlling stake, of shares of a semi-conductor company in Taiwan. Only around $8 million worth, which is pennies to Soros. But it’s something to keep an eye on for sure.

It’s also important to recognize that Trump, Putin, and Xi, all have a common enemy in George Soros, and therefore the deep state as a whole.

When Soros speaks, we all should listen. He doesn’t just talk to talk…and he gives away his game if Clandestine is correct here.

Mike Rowe Says Feds Revoked His Filming Permit, Says It Was Pulled Due To His Personal Politics

Rowe said that “just two days before I was scheduled to arrive, we received a phone call from a woman at the GSA who informed us that our permits were being revoked. When we asked for an explanation, she said, ‘security concerns.’ When we asked her what kind of security concerns, she said she didn’t know. She only told us that the decision had come down from ‘the very highest levels within the GSA.’”…

“Over the last twenty years, Dirty Jobs has filmed in many sensitive environments under government control. We’ve received permits from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Seabees, Coast Guard, NASA, and The Army Corps of Engineers,” he noted. “We’ve gotten permission to film inside the Capitol and a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. We even got a permit to film inside the National Security Agency! In all cases, we worked closely and in good faith with the government and scrupulously avoided any areas that were deemed sensitive or secure. Never once in twenty years has the government revoked a permit — much less at the last minute, and with no plausible explanation.”

The host added that his production team also received a phone call from someone at the highest levels of the GSA who claimed the decision had “nothing to do with security, and everything to do with politics.” The caller — apparently also a GSA higher-up — said someone in the agency “doesn’t like Mike Rowe’s personal politics” and deliberately set out to “string us along until the last possible second, for the express purpose of ‘yanking my chain.’”

Petty. Really. And bad PR for the feds, too. The brain trust really is gone.

Forget the Marxists: Here’s the Real Enemy of America

To win any fight, we must first know our enemy.  There are those who argue we are in a struggle with Marxism, though in reality, we battle the organizational and operational tenets of the Marxist tree, not the ideology itself.  We know that this is not a Marxist movement because it ignores Marxism’s core clientele: the workers.  In fact, these people despise the Marxist’s traditional constituents.  Instead, they toil for a small minority of the “marginalized” in society whom middle Americans find to be fringe and anathema to their core values.

Even then, their movement doesn’t seek a revolution of the marginalized.  They define the ills of society so that governments can unilaterally impose restitutive “justice”: defunding law enforcement and prosecution, promoting violence and riots, and forcing curriculum indoctrination throughout the educational system.  They seek power through chaos.

If there is a power that wishes to usurp a democratic and free market society, then to attack with the chaos of a Marxist “revolution” will drive those most affected to willingly surrender freedom for security — You will own nothing and be happy! — and into the warm arms of the promise of a new civilization dedicated to the progress of mankind.  Italy once succumbed to the promises and adopted fascism upon the bourgeoisie’s and governing elites’ fears from the encroaching evils of socialism, as had been witnessed in Soviet Russia.

Don’t be fooled by rhetoric.  Fascism is an evolution of socialism.  The difference is how the economy is managed.  Ludwig von Mises summarized the primary differences between socialism (the Russian pattern) and fascism (the German pattern).  Socialism owns everything, and the individual is simply a serf to the state; fascism “preserves private ownership of the means of production and keeps the appearance of ordinary markets,” though these markets are highly controlled by the state.

Dr. Peter Kreeft wrote: “You cannot win a war if you are unwilling to admit we are even at war or you don’t know who your enemy is or you don’t know what strategy your enemy is using.”

We start with this concept today in order to establish that the sleep from which the people are awakening blinded them to the reality that there is a war going on. A war for their minds, their freedoms, their rights and much more.

Several good pieces have appeared with information those who follow politics on a granular level have known for a while, but is rather new to the writers.

Leftists Hate Free Speech Because They Fear Dissent, Not “Disinformation”

One can see the steady progression of this war on speech and ideas, and the end game is predictable: Is anyone really that surprised that the Biden Administration is implementing a Ministry of Truth in the form of the DHS Disinformation Governance Board? Can we just accept the reality at this point that leftists are evil and their efforts feed into an agenda of authoritarianism? Is there any evidence to the contrary?

Before I get into this issue, I think it’s important to point out that it’s becoming tiresome to hear arguments these days suggesting that meeting leftists “somewhere in the middle” is the best and most desirable option. I see this attitude all over the place and I think it comes from a certain naivety about the situation we are facing as a country. Moderates and “normies” along with people like Bill Maher and Russell Brand are FINALLY starting to realize how bag-lady-crazy leftists are and the pendulum is swinging back slightly. But, it was conservatives that were calling out the social justice cult and their highway to hell for years.

While everyone else was blissfully ignorant, we were fighting the battles that stalled the leftist advance. This is not to say I’m not happy to have moderates and reformed liberals on board, it’s a great thing. However, the time for diplomacy and meeting leftists halfway is long dead.

There is no such thing as a “center” in our society anymore, either you lean conservative and you support freedom, or you lean left and support authoritarianism. There is no magical and Utopian in-between that we need to achieve to make things right. We are not required to tolerate leftist authoritarianism because of “democracy.” Sometimes certain ideologies and certain groups are mutually exclusive to freedom; meaning, they cannot coexist within a society that values liberty.

Regarding voting machines vs. paper ballots, 2,000 Mules and voter rolls that need to be purged:

The United States, by contrast, is an oligarchy (a regime where the elite rules) that is only pretending to be a democracy. This is why we use a Third World banana republic election system. 

No reasonable observer of the 2020 election in this country could draw any other conclusion. The week-long vote count, the midnight vote total changes, the months of early voting, and the unilateral changes to election law in multiple states without legislative approval prior to the election are all signs of the profound brokenness of the American election system. Were these behaviors to appear elsewhere, our foreign policy class would have already denounced that nation as undemocratic.

The BBC, in a 2016 article on the tell-tale signs of election fraud, argued that a “delay in announcing results” is but one example of election misbehavior. 

In America, however, pointing out that such irregularities happened in 2020 is grounds for censorship by “private” tech companies and politicized prosecution from the federal government. This is the lesson from the January 6 protest.  

In his most recent film, “2000 Mules,” Dinesh D’Souza revisits the claims of election fraud in 2020. He is right to do so. Contra Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell(R-Ky.), Republicans should not “move on” from the election. Without free and fair elections, we do not have a republic. Without the possibility of taking power, conservatives have no reason to talk about policy. 

On censorship:

Why aren’t we allowed to question the 2020 election?

Do you find it strange that we do not dare challenge the prevailing narrative of the ‘democratic’ party of projection and the nation’s socialist media? Especially since questioning electoral integrity is a cottage industry for themselves whenever they lose.

Why does this matter? Consider it from another point of view – why is it so important to the nation’s socialist media and the anti-liberty left? (But, we repeat ourselves.) Why have they obsessed about this for months, viciously attacking anyone who brought up the suspiciously-termed ‘Big Lie’?

Could it be they obsess over this because they are hoping for a repeat performance? In military terms, this is known as ‘preparing the battlefield.’ The Biden Regime already issued a dire warning for the fall, with this key line that shows this is all smoke and mirrors:

In forecasting 100 million potential infections during a cold-weather wave later this year and early next, the official did not present new data or make a formal projection.

They are taking the time to discredit any allegations of their electoral malfeasance in order to issue the same condemnations when they do it again. The new movie, 2000 Mules, from esteemed documentarian Dinesh D’Souza, and news anchor Tucker Carlson, are raising these questions, but they are experiencing suppression – why? If you take into consideration all that is being done by the liberticidal left to destroy democracy and this country, this takes on critical importance.

Who can forget how the authoritarian leftists graciously accepted electoral defeat without the merest hint of controversy after losing to Trump in 2016? You can’t? Well, because it never happened! Somehow, we’re supposed to ‘memory hole’ near-constant complaints about ‘Russia collusion’ for four years. So before we go on, let them remind us that only ‘they’ are allowed to question election integrity.

After mainstream journalists became discredited as biased, left-wing propagandists, very suddenly, a new fad sprang up: fact-checkers.  Now the same journalists whom we stopped believing in the normal news are suddenly believable because they call themselves “fact-checkers.” 

But if there is anything that presumably a fact-checker would do, you’d think it would be to actually carefully read and analyze a claim point by point to determine its truth.  (Typically, fact-checkers specialize in being distracted by a minor detail.  For example, a news story might report that Sen. Nogood smashed into a green-colored van full of nuns while driving drunk.  The fact-checker would then spend pages discussing how there is “no evidence” that the van was colored green.  The van might have been blue.  So rating: False.)

True The Vote did what the government failed to do.  The organization purchased through commercial brokers the cell phone “geotracking” or “geolocator” data from specific cities in particular states where the election was decided.  They then analyzed the GPS data to show the paid “mules” who visited left-wing nonprofit organizations and then drove to many different ballot drop boxes on the same day — then did it all over again the following day, day after day, for weeks.

Can the reader FEEL the outrage building over this matter of censorship re questioning the 2020 election “results?”

THAT is what is needed to effect change. Without the anger of the PEOPLE, nothing in government is going to change, because as Sundance points out constantly, the swamp and all government state and local is set up to keep itself in power.

Machiavelli said, “It must be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to plan, more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to manage than a new system. For the initiator has the enmity of all who would profit by the preservation of the old institution and merely lukewarm defenders in those who gain by the new ones.”

A controversial “data broker” called SafeGraph initially provided the data to the CDC for free during the outbreak of the pandemic, the documents show. Then in 2021, the CDC reportedly hatched a deal to pay the company $420,000 for continued access.

Fifty-nine percent have no or not much confidence in Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) Congress. Just 36 percent have a lot or some confidence in the institution.

In contrast, 46 percent of respondents have some or a lot of confidence in the establishment media, a ten-point difference. Forty-seven percent have not much or no confidence in the media, a 12-point difference.

Over the weekend, I saw this article about public schools and parents. 

Maybe it’s really parents vs. schools. 

This is from the Associated Press:

Families opting for homeschooling, private schools and other options sent enrollment down sharply in the first full school year of the pandemic, and generally it has been slow to recover.

In Houston, the largest district in Texas, enrollment tumbled by more than 22,000 to around 183,000 in fall 2021 and only about half of those students have returned. The district was shielded from making cuts in the first two years of the pandemic by what are known as “hold harmless” provisions, but those protections are expected to end. Superintendent Millard House has asked departments to cut $60 million from next year’s budget.

So where did the kids go?  They are staying away from public schools.

The article does point out that enrollment is up in Florida, and down in California, in further confirmation of where the moving vans are going.

The pandemic is clearly a factor, but it’s more complicated than that.

A Dallas friend well connected with Catholic schools told me that the phone does not stop ringing at the office.  Why?  Parents are calling wondering how they can move their kid from public schools.  Most of them are not even Catholic.  As my friend said, one mother said on the phone that she wants to send her kids to a school where boys and girls go to different bathrooms and no one makes it a constitutional issue.

Homeschooling is booming, too, or another way that parents are voting against the system.

It’s all about the children, and parents are taking action.

Oh, what a difference a day makes.

Okay, putting the tweetverse on hold for a few to highlight the “nothing happening” of the John Durham investigation.

Ahem.

It has been noticed by various prognosticators that a very big name in Democrat politics has surfaced in all of the information leaked this week. Sundance lays it out.

Additionally, the Durham filing itself {SEE HERE} gives us another granular look at how the prosecution is walking the tightrope of carefully balanced prosecution of leftist activists, lawfare people and political organizations outside government.

Within the filing the privilege claims are easily dispatched by prosecutor Andrew J. DeFilippis, Assistant Special Counsel to John Durham.  One key paragraph is a little funny in that the prosecution uses the defense position against them.  The prosecution states the “purported privilege holders who have intervened do so in a case in which the defendant has denied representing any client when he brought the Russian Bank-1 allegations to the FBI.”

The privilege controversy itself seemingly entraps Michael Sussmann.  How can Sussmann claim attorney-client privilege when his defense is to say he wasn’t working on behalf of any client when he brought the information to the FBI?   Whoopsie daisy.

All of that said, there’s another interesting aspect to this specific filing if you stand back away from the granular legal details and look at the arc of the prosecution within it.   It appears to me that Michael Sussmann is not the REAL target of this prosecution, Marc Elias is.

♦ It looks like John Durham is using the prosecution of Sussmann, and all the details within the case, to box in a very easy prosecution of Michael Sussmann’s boss, the infamous Democrat lawyer, Marc Elias.   Read the filing and you see how Perkins Coie and Marc Elias are clearly and purposefully outlined as having the major role in the activity of Sussmann.  All prosecutorial roads against Sussmann are leading to Elias.

That risk would certainly explain why Marc Elias left Perkins Coie immediately after the Alfa Bank lawsuit against Fusion GPS revealed the connective tissue, and then John Durham start focusing on Perkins Coie and Michael Sussmann.

Sundance is a little late to the party on this, as there were comments here in January and February pointing out that Marc Elias was the bigger fish RICO-wise when it comes to Russia-gate.

Not only that, but Elias was also heavily involved in the 2020 election rigging.

For nearly three years, with the aid of the FBI, the DOJ and the CIA, they sought to make absolutely certain [Trump] could not be re-elected.  The Clintons, Obamas and their activist worker bees in and out of Congress worked tirelessly to destroy Donald Trump.  For four years, Marc Elias traveled state to state to get election laws changed to facilitate the cheating they planned.  Nancy Pelosi let the cat out of the bag when she said, “I feel very confident that Joe Biden will be elected President on Tuesday. Whatever the end count is on the election that occurs on Tuesday, he will be elected, on January 20th he will be inaugurated President.”

Could it be that the white hats actually know what they are doing and that information is “leaked” to demonstrate just what they have on the other side?

So, far from nothing really happening, it looks like one of the big players behind the scenes is actually in the cross-hairs, and just like test pilots, no one really knew his name.

Today, however, we are seeing the architecture of how they plan to organize the tools.

(POLITICO) – “DHS is standing up a new Disinformation Governance Board to coordinate countering misinformation related to homeland security, focused specifically on irregular migration and Russia. Nina Jankowicz will head the board as executive director. She previously was a disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center, advised the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry as part of the Fulbright Public Policy Fellowship and oversaw Russia and Belarus programs at the National Democratic Institute.” (link)

Elon Musk Takes Aim At ‘Woke’ And ‘Unwatchable’ Netflix

Billionaire Elon Musk is not making any friends from the progressive faction on social media ever since he made an offer to purchase Twitter, but now he has taken aim at them again.

Between January and March Netflix lost around 200,000 subscribers it said in its quarterly report yesterday which caused the stock to fall 25 percent, and Musk believes that it is because the service is “unwatchable” because of wokeness.

“The woke mind virus is making Netflix unwatchable,” he said in response to a report from Slashdot.

MOSCOW, 13 April. /TASS/. Russia introduces mirror sanctions against 398 members of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, congressmen, including the leadership and chairmen of committees, are included in the stop list of the Russian Federation on an ongoing basis. This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, distributed on Wednesday.

“In response to the next wave of anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the administration of [U.S. President] Joe Biden on March 24 against 328 deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, which, taking into account the previously blacklisted Russian parliamentarians, makes up almost the entire composition of it, mirror sanctions restrictions are being introduced against 398 members of the U.S. House of Representatives,” the text reads.

“These persons, including the leadership and chairmen of the committees of the lower house of the US Congress, are included in the Russian stop list on an ongoing basis. Together with other current lawmakers, who, like Speaker of the [U.S. House of Representatives] Nancy Pelosi, was previously banned from entering the Russian Federation , “listing” on the basis of reciprocity is subject to all US congressmen,” the ministry added.

Smolenskaya Square also indicated that Russia, as a response to US sanctions, will soon announce new measures that involve expanding the number of people on the stop list, as well as other steps. “Given the constantly imposed US sanctions, new announcements of Russian countermeasures are planned in the near future, involving an increase in the number of persons included in the stop list and other retaliatory steps,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

It would be interesting to know who the Russians did not sanction, and if this is a move in the larger plan.

Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal broke the news on his account the previous night, describing Musk’s decision as “for the best” even as he warned workers they would face “distractions ahead,” Bloomberg reported late Monday.

The uncertainty left Twitter workers feeling “super stressed” about the future, with employees reportedly “working together to help each other get through the week.”

The report cited interviews with Twitter employees who asked not to be identified while discussing the company’s inner workings. Several employees told the outlet that Twitter’s internal environment was a “s–t-show” after Musk’s deal with the board fell through.

Yes, all of this is taking longer than we’d like. Duh! But do you honestly think our Patriots would choose to have this go on a day longer than it needs to? Of course not. To even assert as much is ludicrous.

So, if for some reason you oddly feel it necessary to proclaim publicly that you alone know how best to manage the larger military operation in play – trust me this one – you don’t. And it’s not even close.

The fact is that you, Mr. or Mrs. Combat Karen, don’t know more about how things need proceed than the people currently running point on effort to save humanity. You know, the people who have been at this for years/decades before you were even aware that there was a problem to begin with. Those guys. Let ’em do their damn job.

The solution obviously involves 1) educating us as to the magnitude of the pickle we’re in (so it never happens again), and 2) safely managing the completion of a resounding and historic victory for all of mankind that forever changes the course of humanity. Oh, and did I mention doing so without destroying the world economy and having things deteriorate to the point where door-to-door type conventional war breaks out in the process thereby putting MILLIONS of lives at risk.

So here’s a thought. If you feel the need to play ‘Chicken Little’ and/or make asinine assertions as to the superiority of your vast experience managing some of the largest and most complex military operations in the history of man – don’t.

Think of it this way. Kids complaining from the back of the car doesn’t do a damn thing to get to the destination sooner. But what it does do is makes the rest of the trip more miserable for everyone else in the vehicle having to suffer through it.

There is no reason for other countries not to be able to look out for their own interests, and energy is the way Russia is doing that…although, not exactly always on the side of daylight.

Russia, it turns out, has reportedly been promoting, often through “dark money” via Bermuda – which does not require donor countries to be named — “green” campaigns against nuclear power to ensure dependence by the West on imports of Russia’s fossil fuels. According to an article in The Hill:

“In 2014 – the same year Russia annexed Crimea – then-North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen warned that Russia was covertly working to undermine European and U.S. fossil fuel production…

“According to The Guardian, Rasmussen… claimed in a presentation to a think tank in London, ‘I have met allies who can report that Russia, as part of their sophisticated information and disinformation operations, engaged actively with so-called non-governmental organizations (NGOs) – environmental organizations working against shale gas – to maintain European dependence on imported Russian gas.'”

In a time when various “developed world” intelligence agencies are filling up petabytes of hard disk space with domestic phone recordings and tracking their own citizens who – in the pursuit of a “liberal” agenda – have been escalated to a greater terrorist threat than actual foreign terrorists, some people have had enough and are throwing their smart phones into the trash and replacing them with “dumbphones” instead.

One among them is seventeen-year-old Robin West, who according to the BBC is an anomaly among her peers: “she doesn’t have a smartphone.” Instead of scrolling through apps like TikTok and Instagram all day, she uses a so-called “dumbphone”.

Those readers who had a cell phone in the late 1990s are all too familiar with these; for everyone else these are basic handsets, or feature phones, with very limited functionality compared to say an iPhone. For the most part, you can typically only make and receive calls and SMS text messages. And, if you are lucky, listen to radio and take very basic photos, but definitely not connect to the internet or apps.

Robin’s decision to ditch her former smartphone two years ago was a spur of the moment thing. While looking for a replacement handset in a second-hand shop she was lured by the low price of a “brick phone”. Her current handset, from French firm MobiWire, cost her just £8. And because it has no smartphone functionality she doesn’t have an expensive monthly data bill to worry about.

“I didn’t notice until I bought a brick phone how much a smartphone was taking over my life,” she says. “I had a lot of social media apps on it, and I didn’t get as much work done as I was always on my phone.”

The Londoner adds that she doesn’t think she’ll ever buy another smartphone. “I’m happy with my brick – I don’t think it limits me. I’m definitely more proactive.”

According to BBC, dumbphones are enjoying a revival. Google searches for them jumped by 89% between 2018 and 2021, according to a report by software firm SEMrush. And while sales figures are hard to come by, one report said that global purchases of dumbphones were due to hit one billion units last year, up from 400 million in 2019. This compares to worldwide sales of 1.4 billion smart phones last year, following a 12.5% decline in 2020.

7And the LORD said to Moses, “Go down; for your people, whom you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves; 8they have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them; they have made for themselves a molten calf, and have worshiped it and sacrificed to it, and said, `These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!'” 9And the LORD said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and behold, it is a stiff-necked people; 10now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them; but of you I will make a great nation.” 11But Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, “O LORD, why does thy wrath burn hot against thy people, whom thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? 12Why should the Egyptians say, `With evil intent did he bring them forth, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people. 13Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou didst swear by thine own self, and didst say to them, `I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have promised I will give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it for ever.'” 14And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do to his people.

PSALMS 106:19-23

19They made a calf in Horeb and worshiped a molten image. 20They exchanged the glory of God for the image of an ox that eats grass. 21They forgot God, their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt, 22wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red Sea. 23Therefore he said he would destroy them — had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him, to turn away his wrath from destroying them.

JOHN 5:31-47

31If I bear witness to myself, my testimony is not true; 32there is another who bears witness to me, and I know that the testimony which he bears to me is true. 33You sent to John, and he has borne witness to the truth. 34Not that the testimony which I receive is from man; but I say this that you may be saved. 35He was a burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light. 36But the testimony which I have is greater than that of John; for the works which the Father has granted me to accomplish, these very works which I am doing, bear me witness that the Father has sent me. 37And the Father who sent me has himself borne witness to me. His voice you have never heard, his form you have never seen; 38and you do not have his word abiding in you, for you do not believe him whom he has sent. 39You search the scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness to me; 40yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life. 41I do not receive glory from men. 42But I know that you have not the love of God within you. 43I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not receive me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. 44How can you believe, who receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the only God? 45Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; it is Moses who accuses you, on whom you set your hope. 46If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote of me. 47But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?”
