DEAR MAGA: Open Thread 20220120

Saw this earlier. Any comments on the prepping aspect of a “to go” bag for the car?

Okay, what else do I have….

Hey, it’s Thursday. All the good stuff was posted Tuesday and Wednesday.

Okay, I admit it. Back in the day, I had larger than life posters of these guys on my wall.

One of the obstacles to full understanding of just what the enemy is all about revolves around the concept of symbolism.

And now for the business portion.

Please review our HOST and site owner’s Guidelines for posting and discussion for this site. Wolf is kind enough to put up with *most* of us and our antics after thorough vetting. Violators of the baiting and deliberately attempting to divide the group rules WILL face consequences.

The discourse on this site is to be CIVIL – no name calling, baiting, or threatening others here is allowed. Company manners are appreciated. Those who are so inclined may visit Wolf’s other sanctuary, the U-Tree, to slog out discussions best saved for a wrestling mat. If, for some reason, this site is not available, head over to the UTree and visit the post at the top of the list or the closest rescue thread.

This site is a celebration of the natural rights endowed to humans by our Creator as well as those enshrined in the Bill of Rights adopted in the founding documents of the United States of America. Within the limits of law, how we exercise these rights is part of the freedom of our discussion.

THAT MEANS THAT ALL OF US HERE ARE ENTITLED TO OUR OPINIONS AND PREJUDICES, ETC., SO LONG AS THEY CAUSE NO PHYSICAL HARM TO OTHERS OR DOXX OUR FELLOW TREE DWELLERS.

All opinions here are valued for the diversity they bring to the issues, and the shaping of understanding regarding topics for which many of us do not have all information. Correcting the record on any one topic is appreciated.

Be careful in expressing thoughts as we would all like to think well of the rest of the group, and ill-thought out comments have a way of wrecking that for everyone.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights
  2. No running with scissors
  3. If you bring snacks, be sure they are made with bacon

Auntie DePat’s requests as we are all supposedly adults and don’t just play them on TV like the body doubles pretending to be the squatter in chief:

If you see something has not been posted, do us all a favor, and post it. Please, do not complain that it has not been done yet.

The scroll wheel on your mouse can be your friend. As mature adults, please use it here in the same manner you would in avoiding online porn.

Thank you so much for any and all attention to such details. It is GREATLY appreciated by more than one party here.

1 SAMUEL 18:6-9; 19:1-7

186As they were coming home, when David returned from slaying the Philistine, the women came out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with timbrels, with songs of joy, and with instruments of music. 7And the women sang to one another as they made merry, “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.” 8And Saul was very angry, and this saying displeased him; he said, “They have ascribed to David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed thousands; and what more can he have but the kingdom?” 9And Saul eyed David from that day on. 191And Saul spoke to Jonathan his son and to all his servants, that they should kill David. But Jonathan, Saul’s son, delighted much in David. 2And Jonathan told David, “Saul my father seeks to kill you; therefore take heed to yourself in the morning, stay in a secret place and hide yourself; 3and I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where you are, and I will speak to my father about you; and if I learn anything I will tell you.” 4And Jonathan spoke well of David to Saul his father, and said to him, “Let not the king sin against his servant David; because he has not sinned against you, and because his deeds have been of good service to you; 5for he took his life in his hand and he slew the Philistine, and the LORD wrought a great victory for all Israel. You saw it, and rejoiced; why then will you sin against innocent blood by killing David without cause?” 6And Saul hearkened to the voice of Jonathan; Saul swore, “As the LORD lives, he shall not be put to death.” 7And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan showed him all these things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence as before.

Gail Combs

YUP, time to boycott M&M & Mars…

Cuppa Covfefe

That means the woke “the rice formerly known as Uncle Ben’s”, aka “Ben’s Original”…

Wonder if they add “Ab” in front of it down in Oz… bet they didn’t think about that… they never do…..

Better to take the time and effort and buy better, healthier rice (or grains) and cook it from scratch…

Conservative think we should be ALLOWED TO LIVE TO REACH the STARTING LINE!

(Instead of being torn to pieces alive and sold to researchers.)

My drive through Lizard Head Pass, on the way to Telluride, CO. Oh, the temp was 1 F. But no snow and a beautiful drive.

Lizard Head Pass? Yet no lizards?

(Inquiring lizards want to know.)

Aubergine

If they were there, they’d be Lizard-cicles!

cthulhu

Maybe there are lizards there in the summer. I doubt you’ll find many trekkin’ around at 1 F.

Reminds me of the McCloud River in California. “The Wintu Native Americans called the Lower Falls Nurum-wit-ti-dekki, which roughly translates to ‘falls where the salmon turn back.'”

Valerie Curren

Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing 🙂

Leadville, CO is the highest city in the continental U.S at 10,200 ft. The view ain’t bad.

Nice place!

SteveInCO

There is (or was) an unincorporated town named Climax that was not far away and even higher. It served a molybdenum mine that was once responsible for 75% of world production (and 99% of world mispronunciations).

Cuppa Covfefe

I imagine with MJ being legal there, there probably are many contenders for the “highest” city in America 😀

Beautiful pics!

Wolf Moon

The “MSM recolorization games” are getting really outrageous. The last MSM pictures I saw of these two looked almost nothing like this image. She was darker than George Zimmerman and he looked like “something else”.

Too bad Devonaura didn’t have that up close and personal encounter instead of Brianna.

And yeah, my tolerance for this shit has hit the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

Wolf Moon

Mass formation psychosis. These progzis are almost fully cooked.

Gail Combs

A recent Conservative is a Progressive who managed to escape one of those Up Close and Personal ‘encounters’ barely alive and somewhat intact….

Since they didn’t have the common sense and brains to see through the BULLSHIT in the first place like a life long Conservative.

Cuppa Covfefe

They should be cooking in Hell! 🔥 🔥 🔥

Cuppa Covfefe

Yep. More like Devilnaura…
Worthless POSs, both she and the perp…

Coothie,

you have to read the comments by Dred Pumpkinhaid

I am Laughing so hard I can barely type. And do read beyond the first one….

cthulhu

Sadly, can’t read comments on Townhall….

para59r

Actually the ones on Townhall show up for me… but not the ones through the Dred Pumpkinhaid page on Disqus.

para59r

Poor guy.😉

para59r

Oh! Really poor guy.

This could be serious, but I think we love it.

The March for Life takes place tomorrow in D.C. An organization called Silent No More has scheduled a mass followed by an interdenominational prayer service, and then they will join the march at noon, which goes to the steps of SCOTUS.

More details here: https://wtop.com/dc/2022/01/faq-what-to-know-about-2022-march-for-life/

Q: What is the March for Life? When is it?

The March for Life is an annual rally marking the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s 1973 decision in Roe vs. Wade, which legalized abortion across the U.S.

This year, the rally will be held Jan. 21. The rally will begin at noon. The march begins around 1 p.m. starting between 12th and 14th streets, up to Constitution Avenue to the steps of the Supreme Court. Then there will be the “Silent No More” testimonies.

Q: Do attendees need to be vaccinated?

Outdoor march events are not affected by the District’s vaccination mandate. In order to attend the Rose Dinner Gala on Friday or Capitol Hill 101 on Thursday, both being held at the Renaissance Hotel in D.C., those 12 and up must provide proof of vaccination, or a medical or religious exception along with proof of a negative COVID-19 test in the last 24 hours.

Q: Who’s speaking?

Kirk Cameron, actor

U.S. Rep. Julia Letlow (Louisiana)

Toni McFadden, founder Relationship Matters

Lisa Robertson, “Duck Dynasty”

Mike Schmitz, host of “Bible in a Year” podcast

Katie Shaw, Down syndrome advocate

U.S. Rep. Chris Smith (New Jersey)

George Schuberg, student speaker — Christendom College

Kristen Waggoner, Alliance Defending Freedom

Rachel Young, registered nurse

No doubt the vax police will turn out in force. Here’s hoping the marchers make a mockery of the after action events.

So a quick area update down here in the South of Texas around San Antonio.

Temperatures were predicted to dip as low as 35 degrees this morning (with no snow and little chance for ice, sleet or rain) so most schools in the region announced closures.

Truth is many people have been reporting teachers haven’t been showing up for class anyway and students have been spending lots of time in the auditoriums so hey why not close the schools.

And no, this is not usual. This is a Biden mass formation psychosis thing that primarily effects school teachers other liberal idiots down here and I want my tax money back! 😡

gil00

Theres always an excuse to get paid to do nothing.

Barely 32 here my friend, stay warm.
The electricity blipped off once, giving me flash backs of our funky freeze, so I instinctively upped the thermostat so I’d have a few additional minutes of heat, JIC. 🙄
