Last week, photogenic Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fl.), member of the House Disclosure Committee, announced that —after asking them nicely— the Russians handed over a curated copy of their 400-page KGB dossier on President John F. Kennedy’s assassination.
Translators are still working. But that map jumped right out and launched a week of wild speculation over what could be Trump’s most controversial and world-changing move yet.

BOBBY KENNEDY and the KGB
FROM the book: Willing Accomplices: How KGB Covert Influence Agents Created Political Correctness and Destroyed America by Kent Clizbe, former CIA
Many years ago, Kent approached me on Tony Heller’s blog and sent me a draft copy of his book. This is an excerpt from that book. This passage is a glimpse into the CIA during Kennedy’s presidency. The CIA disdain for both Kennedy brothers drips from each word.
…KGB officers, working under a variety of covers, implanted this influence payload. In what must be considered a success of the highest possible level, a KGB colonel, military intelligence officer, operating under TASS cover, assessed and developed the callow Attorney General of the U.S., whose power far exceeded his job title. As the younger brother of the young President, Bobby Kennedy was one of the President’s closest advisors, 35 years old at the 1961 inauguration.
The military career of Bobby Kennedy, a dilettante who thrived under the patronage of his millionaire bootlegger father, may best illustrate the special dispensations he received, throughout his short life.
Bouncing between boarding schools during WW2, just before he turned 18, apparently to avoid the draft, Kennedy enlisted in the Navy. He was immediately accepted into the Navy’s special training program for college-aged officer candidates, sort of an early ROTC. He, of course, was accepted at Harvard’s version of the program. He did nearly two years in the program, bouncing from Harvard to Bates, and back to Harvard, until the Navy commissioned a ship named after young Bobby’s brother, the U.S.S. Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr., surely on the command of Daddy Kennedy, the Democrat power broker.
In February, Kennedy used his father’s Progressive patronage power to obtain a discharge from the officer candidate program, to serve as an apprentice seaman on the USS Kennedy. It doesn’t take much imagination to realize that the peripatetic Bobby Kennedy’s 119 day tour as a seaman on his daddy’s ship had nothing in common with a typical seaman’s sea duty. Arriving on February 1, he left the ship on May 30, and was discharged, honorably from the Navy.
Supported by the Kennedy family’s house newspaper in Boston, he flitted about the world, pretending to be a reporter for a few trips, until he finished law school.
He was immediately ensconced as a lawyer in the Department of Justice in Washington DC, for three months, before his daddy got him a job as a prosecutor in Brooklyn. He only lasted at that job for four months, resigning to “manage” his brother’s Senate campaign. After the successful campaign, daddy again pulled strings, and young Bobby landed a job with, ironically, Senator Joseph McCarthy’s Subcommittee on Investigations.
His tenure with McCarthy was more than seven months, a long time for this daddy’s boy on the move. He left the Senate job to work for, no surprise, daddy Kennedy, supposedly working on government reorganization.
It took his father seven months to get young Bobby his next gig, as chief counsel for the Democrat minority in the Senate. Eleven months later, bouncing Bobby became majority counsel, when the
Democrats won back the Senate from the Republicans. Bobby, not quite 30 years old, with no real world experience, settled into the warm comfort of the sinecure arranged by his daddy, in the shadow of his big brother, the anointed Democrat savior, and waited for the 1960 elections, which daddy Kennedy planned as a coming-out for his favorite surviving son.
Bobby again “managed” a John Kennedy campaign, this time a successful one for President, in 1960, and was rewarded by his daddy and big brother, with the plum appointment to be the Attorney General of the United States.
On his first day in the highest law enforcement office in the country, Bobby Kennedy was barely 35 years old. Outside his blatantly political job as a Democrat counsel in the Senate, he had held a handful of positions, usually for a few months at the most. It appears that virtually all of the “jobs” he held were arranged by his family political connections—119 days on the ship named for Daddy Kennedy’s favorite son, four months as a prosecutor in Brooklyn, seven months as a counsel in the Senate, seven months working for his daddy, until he joined his brother in the Senate, for nearly seven years.
From the point of view of a Russian case officer, working against this shallow, callow, punk daddy’s boy, elevated to a position of nearly absolute power in his brother’s administration, would be child’s play.
The KGB likely began probing multiple avenues of approach to the callow kiddie crowd in the White House, soon after their ascendance in January 1961. Maybe they already had established contacts with Bobby Kennedy, during his international travels, through Europe, the Middle East, India, Vietnam and Japan, as a student, pretending to be a journalist. Students on the make, traveling through these areas would have come to the attention of the KGB in each of the countries he visited. Especially a student who was the son of the corrupt Democrat ambassador to London. The KGB approach that clicked with the naïve Attorney General was the approach of a military intelligence colonel operating under cover as head of the Washington bureau of the TASS news agency. It may be useful to read ahead to the next chapter for the testimony of Ismael Ege, about the KBG’s use of TASS for operational cover.
…..In a classic piece of operational tradecraft, the KGB case officer, Georgi Bolshakov, represented himself to his target, Bobby Kennedy, as a “back-channel” conduit to the Kremlin. This is a common operational ruse, useful to convince otherwise wary targets that the information they share will go straight to the highest levels.
This ruse is also useful against targets in influential positions, for example a kid Attorney General, the most trusted advisor to his brother, the President of the U.S. Against these targets, the ruse is expanded to include a ruse within a ruse—that the target is also receiving confidential details in an “information exchange.” After accepting a “personal relationship” with the Bolshakov, Bobby Kennedy opened up to the espionage professional’s developmental operation. Kennedy invited the KGB officer to his home, and met with him dozens of times. For a developmental operation, this is a rather accelerated schedule. It seems that the KGB was ready to err on the side of aggression, due to the need to implant influence messages with the young administration. In stark contrast to the dilettante know-it-all Bobby Kennedy, Bolshakov was an expert at his profession. He had joined the Soviet intelligence system in 1943, served throughout WW2 and followed that with a three year graduate level training program in intelligence operations. He developed excellent English language skills prior to his posting to Washington.
The superbly successful development of the Attorney General by a man who was clearly Soviet intelligence would seem shocking by today’s counter-intelligence standards. At the time, evidently the Kennedys could do no wrong. Even today historians writing of this espionage operation give Bobby Kennedy an unwarranted benefit of the doubt.
Andrew, discussing Bobby Kennedy’s use as an influence agent, says that Bobby seemed to be, “forgetting that he was dealing with an experienced intelligence professional who had been instructed to cultivate him,” And that “the president’s brother became convinced that ‘an authentic friendship grew’ between him and [the KGB officer].”
There is absolutely no reason to give Kennedy the benefit of any doubt. He was simply an arrogant, ignorant, spoiled rich man’s son playing at international affairs. He was playing against talented, experienced, well-trained professionals. He was no match, and was out-witted, out-gunned, and out-maneuvered. The relationship seems to have terminated when the Russians manipulated the out-witted Kennedys during the Cuban missile crisis. The KGB case officer, after influencing the Kennedy administration’s view for several months, provided a disinformation payload to young Bobby, who swallowed it, hook, line and sinker.
In a conversation recorded in the Oval Office, between the President and his little brother, the two neophytes, playing at power politics seem to come to the realization that they’ve been played for fools.
Bobby tells his brother that he’d had lunch with his KGB handler that day.
President: “What did he say?”
Bobby: “He said this is, this is a defensive base for the Russians. It’s got nothing to do with the Cubans.”
President: “…They’re lying…This horror about embarrassing me in the election…. But they didn’t tell you there were missiles there.”
Bobby: “No. Remember, I told you that.”
A member of the President’s cabinet, later the same day joked about the potential consequences of a war that might ensue over the Soviet missiles in Cuba. Speaking to the Defense Secretary, Robert McNamara, an unidentified meeting attendee said, “Suppose we make Bobby mayor of Havana.” The KGB’s influence operations officers, in the field, were far superior to the Soviets’ decision makers, analysis, or ability to capitalize on the nearly unbelievable operations run by the field officers.
Recruiting, or at least co-opting, the Attorney General of the United States, by the KGB, is the operational equivalent of a grand slam home run, Triple Crown, Three-peat, MVP, World Cup, and a Super Bowl championship, all rolled into one.
The leadership of a banana republic, or an African former colony, where a young colonel as the President, after a coup, installs his even younger brother in his cabinet, might be seen as susceptible to a cabinet member being targeted and played by an ops officer. Such a country would be a ripe target for a case officer’s plucking. But to consider the leadership of a super-power to be susceptible to such a blatant influence operation is shocking and nearly incredible.
The fact is, though, that the Bobby Kennedy operation happened, and has been known for some time. Exact details remain sketchy due to most KGB documentation, as discussed earlier, being under the control of the KGB, while the Kennedy side of the story is controlled by the PC hagiographers who seem to believe that the Kennedys truly were the America’s Camelot. Exposure of truths that tarnish the haloes of the Kennedy brothers is not encouraged by the PC keepers of the legend.

Under normal circumstances that makes perfect sense. But if a family member of mine told me that viewing classified documents was fine, I would have questions about it. Maybe I’m more dialed in because we discuss these things here, but Bolton had already been in the news and in trouble for using documents when he wrote his book, and then he continued after it was published. (At least that’s my understanding.) I don’t know the timeline of when the family got involved, but it seems fishy to me that they would be clueless, especially since Bolton’s work involved dealing with classified material even before any of this happened. Surely it was mentioned around them that he couldn’t talk about certain things or show them certain things. Also, there had been news over time about others who had handled classified documents inappropriately.

I already said how to get her into fed custody. Somebody from DoJ [I don’t remember who] said the same thing a bit later. I imagine that they are trying to figure out the exact method of getting their hands on her without ending up in a physical altercation. Or provoking an assassination.
I’ve said it, too, over and over. She’s a material witness to federal crimes, go get her.
They haven’t, which means they don’t want to. They could send in the Navy Seals with no advance warning if they really wanted her. Federal Marshals. Whoever. But they haven’t. So they don’t want to.
Every day that woman spends in custody is a crime, laid at the feet of the one who could rescue her, but doesn’t, because it involves risk to him. As if she didn’t risk it all for him. She’s collateral damage, and it pisses me off.

Based on the recent FBI evidence that the feds engineered all the state crap against Trump, there is a real possibility that it was FBI that put Tina in prison using Colorado proxies. That’s a tough plot to take down, using the same agency.

This highlights the tough choices that often have to be made regarding priorities and timing in order for justice to be done, and also for the fight to be waged strategically in order to have the best chance at winning. I liken it to choices that commanders have to make in wartime when they know their decisions will cause people to suffer and/or die.
It’s terribly difficult. Tina Peters does not deserve to be in prison, and I wish she could be released immediately. But when we see things only through our narrow, limited focus, we miss the bigger picture that might only be known to a few.
That is just one possible example of “we don’t know everything.” We don’t know why things are happening the way they are, but I trust Pres. Trump. He has mentioned Tina Peters before, and I know he wants her to be freed.
If Patel or Bongino were shown FBI emails that showed the agency – or worse yet, Lisa Monaco – having driven the prosecution of Tina Peters, that would explain a lot. Likewise, the bizarre statements and actions surrounding the [possibly very phony] J6 pipe bomber could mean that FBI internal problems are why there is radio silence on what are likely internal investigations.
I just wrote something similar about internal-agency problems possibly having to be dealt with. It would not surprise me if some of what they are doing is completely fake as part of their strategy to fool and take down the perps. I also think it could take a while.

I think it is unconscionable that she is still in jail. The Demoncrats, as shitty as they are, won’t hesitate to free their friends if we jail them and the Dems regain power.

I think the whole pipe bomb situation, including the recent video, could be part of a strategy where things are not as they seem. The video could be some kind of trap where the FIB knows more than it is saying, to lure people in. There are all kinds of possibilities.
Sometimes, putting out misleading information is one facet of a strategy to take down the perps. Sometimes the perps are within the law enforcement agency itself, and things have to be done very carefully in order to nail them. And sometimes deception is necessary, both within the agency and certainly of the public.
I can picture a scenario where they know exactly who placed the bombs, they know the video is not going to bring them any useful leads, and it is all part of the plot to take down the people who are responsible. There is no way the public could know about it.
IIRC (I think from Ivan Raiklin) they followed the cellphone to a LOCKED government garage. There was other info showing they KNEW who the person is and covered it up. (Think video in the garage and date-time plus cell phone tracks.)

Here’s how I differ. I don’t take most of what the heads of agencies say, especially the FIB, at face value. I think there are reasons behind most of it, and we aren’t privy to the reasons. IMO, it doesn’t make sense for a law enforcement agency that deals with evidence and trying to catch perpetrators to give details to the public.
I don’t need to hear from them, and I don’t think the public needs to hear from them, except when they have news that can be shared that won’t hurt investigations or when they think our input could help. It’s possible that that’s something they are learning on the job. They are walking a tightrope between being transparent with the public and keeping things secret that are vital to their work.
Kash Patel has to work with what he’s got while he tries to clean up the agency. To go scorched earth and tear down the institution would be counterproductive.

If they’re trying to clean up the agency while it is in operation, going scorched earth on the agents would be counterproductive, IMO. It is not how to manage people, and it’s not how to get things done.
But take out the part about trying to clean up the agency, and just consider tearing it down. Do you know what the consequences of that would be? I don’t, but I can imagine. Some of the repercussions could be that the investigations that are now taking place would be stalled, and it could take years to build the agency from the ground up. I don’t think there’s time during Pres. Trump’s time in office to do that. No doubt there’s a lot more to it that we’re not privy to. It’s easy to sit behind our computers, ignorant of everything, and tell them what they should be doing.
I don’t take SD’s opinion as gospel on anything. His statement about what he thinks Kash Patel is doing, for example, is something I have already addressed—not specifically about SD, but about what organization heads sometimes have to say out of expediency. That SD doesn’t take that into consideration is another reason for me not to take his word for such things.

Most of our problem here in Montana is on the Native American reservations. Our state unemployment average is an amazing 2.9%. But the Rocky Boy Reservation’s is 8.6%, and the Fort Belknap one is 11.2%. None of the reservations has unemployment below 4.7%.
We have some of the poorest people in America here, and they mostly live on reservation lands.

Here’s an uncharitable thought, which could be completely off base: People rail against “the white man” for settling this country, vs. “indigenous peoples.” But the indigenous peoples don’t appear to have the ability to thrive on their own. It’s not true that no one is helping them get out of it. There are many Native Americans who are working hard on the Rez to elevate young NA’s out of the cycle of poverty. But it is going to be a long, hard slog.
As I said, we took everything they had and relegated them to the most barren, useless parts of America. There is no industry on the reservations, and very little work. Gangs like Tren de Aragua run rampant. Native young women routinely vanish, never to be seen again. Children die of alcohol poisoning. Since the casinos became a thing, organized crime is rampant.

All of this is true. And the resistance to that truth is unbelievably strong.
The current younger generations were mostly raised by people who didn’t teach them that, in order to have the things their parents had attained, they would have to suffer through lean times and struggle, FIRST.
These kids thought they would graduate high school or go to college, and then immediately make the same type of money their parents made after 25 years in the work force. The kids thought they would live in a four-bedroom, three-bath house when they left their parent’s home, not the run-down apartment in the sketchy part of town their parents started out in.
Posts like the above get a bunch of meaningless statistics thrown at them, but no reality. That reality is, Starbucks really should be a treat, dinner should be at home every night with the occasional dinner out as a treat, your first car should cost $5000 max (cash for clunkers eliminated the $1000 beater), professional nails and $100 hairstyles should be for your wedding but no other time. You get a new $100 flip phone every 3-5 years, and have a subscription to Amazon Prime for free shipping and entertainment. You scrape and save and ten years after you get your first job, you put a down payment on a starter home, 1200 square feet, 3 bedrooms and a bath-and-a-half. It needs a little work; but you’re willing to spend your weekends on fixing it up, so you can barbeque in a backyard you own.
I’m 60 years old, and the above is basically my story, and that of most other people I know. I consider myself Gen X; I was born right at the very beginning of it.
Gen X people were made so self-sufficient and tough by circumstances (we are the latch-key generation; nobody took care of us) that it didn’t occur to us that we’d have to explain how to grow up and be tough to our kids. We assumed they would get it like we did. They didn’t. It’s our fault, but we really didn’t know. The school system and society took them and turned them into socialist cream puffs.
They left out INCREASE IN TAXES and INFLATION!
In 1972, my Ex and I, in seven years, could save up enough to buy a 3 bedroom ranch outright. He on a 2nd Lt salary and me on minimum wage.

Illegals vs. the Deserving American Poor

The other day I was driving on a small mountain road and came upon a road construction project. At both ends of the work the flag crew consisted of two older women bundled up against the cold — yes, it’s starting to get cold in the Colorado mountains.
What struck me was their age. They were surprisingly old. I have never met these women in my life, but I’d bet a lot of money they were out working on this job not because they like the fresh air but because they need the money.
You see the same thing in Walmart, grocery, and other retail stores, and in thousands of other unseen occupations. Older workers struggling to get by, doing whatever jobs are open to people of their age and ability.
And it annoys me beyond belief. I would also bet a lot of money that the vast majority of these people either personally bled for this country or have relatives who have — far too many actually giving their lives for this great country.
What greater sacrifice can one make for their country? I can think of none. Yet these people are kicked to the curb by our government and the elites while money that could go to them is instead showered as free stuff for illegal aliens.
Remember, that’s what the illegal part is all about — they shouldn’t have been allowed in the country in the first place.
What could Social Security payments and others be if all this money went to only U.S. citizens? A few hundred a month could make a huge difference in these citizens’ lives. Perhaps big decreases in health insurance costs for the average working schmoe?
Is there a greater insult a country could send to its citizens than this? You or your kin gave blood and sometimes lives for this country, but when in need, the sacrifice is ignored and non-citizen criminals — they broke the law coming here and they break it every day they remain — are placed ahead of you.
Every dollar spent on them is a dollar not spent on citizens. This is a cold, hard fact. This is called opportunity cost.
Many have long argued that a prime weakness of modern governments is their refusal to address opportunity costs.

It can be as basic as a dollar spent here, is dollar not spent there. Or it could be time; you can’t be at both your son’s soccer game and your daughter’s lacrosse game if they are at the same time in different places. There are opportunity costs associated with every decision ever made. That’s just the way it is.
One can argue about the wisdom of low-rent apartments, food stamps, housing assistance, “free” medical care and housing — since few things are free, that just means someone else is paying for it — and other types of social programs and welfare, but one cannot argue with the basic reality that a dollar spent on illegal aliens is a dollar not spent on a deserving U.S. citizen.
Many of these U.S. citizens have kids or relatives in public schools that are overwhelmed by the children of illegals. So, the children of citizens who gave their blood for this country over generations are getting a suboptimal education so that the children of people who shouldn’t be here consume the resources? Opportunity costs are a reality that might be willfully ignored, but that doesn’t make them any less real.
There are also tremendous opportunity costs associated with the remittances these illegals send back “home.” These are the number one source of income for Mexico and many other countries — that’s why their governments purposely send their “excess” population here.
But this process bleeds dry the localities where they live and work. Every dollar sent out of the country — estimates are over $200 billion a year — is a dollar not spent in these U.S. neighborhoods. These are generally poor neighborhoods where that money remaining in the community could do a world of good. They consume “our” social services so they can send “their” money out of the country. Why is this a good idea for actual U.S. citizens?
Various levels of government try to hide the actual spending on illegal aliens but it is easily in the hundreds of billions — each and every year! All going to folks who are here illegally — what don’t the people in power understand about that designation, illegal? Don’t like it? Then change the law. Until then, enforce it.
All while people who gave their blood for this country are kicked to the curb. Demanding this be changed is not anti-illegal immigrant but pro-U.S. citizen. If we are going to ask young men and women to fight and perhaps die for this country, is it asking too much that the country remembers them when they and their kin might be in need?

My question is about the process and the positions (i.e., the AG), not the people in those positions (i.e., Bondi).
Comer is “urging her to take decisive action to invalidate Joe Biden’s pardons and executive orders that were signed by autopen.” The AG can investigate, of course, and can facilitate the process that leads to indictments, but I don’t think the AG has the authority to invalidate actions supposedly taken by a sitting pResident.
So who does have that authority? If investigations show that Biden did not authorize the pardons, as well as a lot of other things signed by autopen, who has the authority to reverse those actions, and what would the process be for doing so? I don’t rememer ever seeing anything like this before.
The Autopen use on Legal documents will have to go to the Supreme Court IMHO.
That is separate from The Biden White House being run by others instead of Biden.
BOTH have to be legal cases.
SCOTUS would be one of my guesses, but I don’t know the process for getting them to take the case. For example, can the AG make such a request to SCOTUS? Does it have to come from POTUS? etc.
Pardons mean nothing until one is charged with a crime. Then the pardon gets asserted in court as a defense. That’s the test.

Man arrested after Facebook comment quoting President Trump

There is a concerning free speech case out of Tennessee where a retired police officer was arrested after posting anti-Charlie Kirk messages on the Internet. Larry Bushart, 61, of Lexington, Tennessee, was arrested for threatening a mass shooting at a school, but the cited messages do not support such a claim. Indeed, his comments appear to be protected political speech under governing Supreme Court precedent.
I have written about Charlie’s legacy fighting for free speech and how recent terminations and cancel campaigns of his critics dishonor that legacy.
Bushart is clearly one of the unhinged voices on the Internet who trolls and inflames others. At his arrest, even Bushart admitted that he is a bit of “an a**hole,” but insisted that he is not a criminal. He appears correct on both counts.
Bushart was charged Sept. 22 with making threats of mass violence at a school. However, he is not scheduled for a preliminary and bond hearing until December 4th. That delay is also troubling since his bond is set at an astronomical $2 million.
Bushart is a former police officer with the Huntingdon Police Department and was arrested after posting on a Perry County community Facebook group page. There was a planned vigil for Kirk in Linden, Tennessee, on Sept. 23.
Perry County Sheriff Nick Weems accused Bushart of posting what he called “hate memes” about Kirk’s death. Weems correctly noted that such memes are not illegal, but one appeared to cross the line in his view.
One meme showed Trump saying, “We have to get over it,” a direct quote from the president after a January 2024 school shooting in Perry County, Iowa , that left one dead and seven wounded.
The phrase “This seems relevant today” appears above the photo.
The Tennesseean‘s Angele Latham found that the meme was “posted numerous times across multiple social media platforms not connected to Bushart going back to 2024.”
However, Bushart was quickly visited by the police. Undeterred, he posted on the account: “Received a visit from Lexington PD regarding my posted memes.”
He was later arrested on a charge of Threats of Mass Violence on School Property and Activities. A conviction could bring as much as six years in prison.
The U.S. Supreme Court has previously protected hyperbole and rejected claims that political speech could fall under the true threat exception to the First Amendment. In Watts v. United States, a protester claimed that, if drafted, “the first man I want to get in my sights is [then-President Lyndon Johnson].” The court insisted that it was not a “true threat” but rather “a kind of very crude offensive method of stating a political opposition to the President.”
Watts established that a true threat had to be established according to three factors: (1) the context of the statement or statements in question; (2) the conditional nature of the supposed threat; and (3) the reaction of the recipient or listeners.
One recent case could be weighed in the Bushart matter.
In 2023, in Counterman v. Colorado, Billy Raymond Counterman was accused of stalking after he sent thousands of messages over two years to a female musician on Facebook. It included menacing references to her car and movements.
A state appellate court upheld the conviction on the basis that a person could “reasonably perceive” the messages as a threat.
The Supreme Court reversed and ruled that the threats did not have to meet an “objective” standard, but could be sustained by showing Counterman’s state of mind, a “subjective standard.” Under the standard laid out by Justice Kagan, the government must prove recklessness, but not necessarily intent: “The State must show that the defendant consciously disregarded a substantial risk that his communications would be viewed as threatening violence.”
However, the Court expressed concern over the chilling effect of prosecutions in cases of vague threats: “The speaker’s fear of mistaking whether a statement is a threat; his fear of the legal system getting that judgment wrong; his fear, in any event, of incurring legal costs — all those may lead him to swallow words that are in fact not true threats.”
In prior cases, the Court also adopted a protective stance, requiring more than how words or actions were perceived. In Virginia v. Black (2003), the Court upheld the criminalization of cross burning when the act was intended as a threat: ‘True threats’ encompass those statements where the speaker means to communicate a serious expression of an intent to commit an act of unlawful violence to a particular individual or group of individuals.”
Likewise, in 2015, the Supreme Court reversed a conviction in Elonis v. United States, involving a man who had posted rap lyrics on Facebook that appeared to threaten his ex-wife and others. The Court rejected jury instructions that required only that the jury find that he communicated what a reasonable person would regard as a threat.
The Tennessee case appears to fall substantially short of these prior cases.
Weems insisted that he posted the picture “to indicate or make the audience think it was referencing our Perry High School. This led teachers, parents, and students to conclude he was talking about a hypothetical shooting at our school. “(people) reached out in concern.”
However, that interpretation was not shared by others who commented on the posting, including critics. It was viewed by many as simply Bushart dismissing the killing of Kirk as something that we “should get over.”
The question is what clarity is necessary to sustain a criminal charge. Bushart has a protected right to rail against Kirk and, in his words, be “an a**hole.”
The case is likely to focus on the political speech element, including Weems’s own writings on Kirk. After the assassination, Weems mourned the loss and warned about the “evil” in our midst. “Evil could be your neighbor,” he wrote. “Evil could be standing right beside you in the grocery store. It could be your own family member and you never even know it.”
In a video, an officer explains to a confused Bushart what he is being charged with: “Threatening Mass Violence at a School.”
“At a school?” Bushart responded, and the officer added, “I ain’t got a clue. I just gotta do what I have to do.”
Bushart then said: “I’ve been in Facebook jail but now I’m really in it,.I may have been an a**hole but…”
Bushart would have to post a bail of at least $210,000 to get out of jail.
He ended it with this:
I do not see ANY way that this person’s posting could be construed as either violent or even threatening. It’s merely about hypocrisy, which is ALWAYS allowable, even when wrong, misleading, or just a plain old lie (subject to the laws of libel in that respect, of course).

People don’t get to “hallucinate” about others and spread untruths, and AI shouldn’t be able to, either. All sense of truth and history will be lost, and I think that’s the goal of some.

FBI Leadership Stakes a Position in Opposition to Expanded Authority of Director of National Intelligence

SD: “It has often been said that a person cannot serve two masters. Throughout years of reviewing the activity of the FBI, one larger picture is clear; the primary mission of the FBI is to protect the interests of Washington, DC – not to protect the interests of truth.
There are two recent sub-contexts for an internal conflict taking place between the Director of the FBI, Kash Patel, and the Director of the Office of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard.
♦ The first issue surfaces from the ODNI’s office investigating the potential for foreign intelligence to have participated in the background of the Charlie Kirk assassination. The director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), Joe Kent, has been reviewing the potential for Charlie Kirk’s assassin to have received influence or support from foreign interests, specifically foreign intelligence.
FBI Director Kash Patel is not happy that NCTC Director Joe Kent reviewed the investigative case file of Tyler Robinson as part of the NCTC review. Presumably, Patel is worried that any investigation of potential support for the assassination may create reasonable doubt for a jury in the case against Robinson. {STORY HERE}
On one-hand the issue is somewhat territorial, with the FBI guarding their investigation in order to ensure a successful prosecution. However, on the other hand, if the investigation is to find the truth of the issues behind the murder, then why would the FBI be concerned about the NCTC checking to see if associations in/around Tyler Robinson may have contributed to the assassination? The truth should have no agenda.
♦ The second issue is even more concerning. Congress is currently debating the final version of an intelligence policy bill, known as the 2026 Intelligence Authorization Act, and possible amendments to the structure of the counterintelligence systems and processes as carried out. [Legislative Link Here] At issue is whether to put intelligence and counterintelligence operations under the purview of the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard. {STORY HERE}
Currently, the counterintelligence operations of the U.S. Intelligence Community are carried out by the sub-silo within the FBI, the FBI counterintelligence division. However, as documented in the weaponized use of the FBI counterintelligence organization against President Donald Trump, there is a push to change the system to create oversight, insurance the FBI cannot politically weaponize this agency again.
DNI Tulsi Gabbard has said her goal is to chase down the exact origin of the FBI’s weaponized authority in the Crossfire Hurricane targeting operation and take measures to ensure such gross abuses of power do not happen again. Many in Congress have been alarmed at how the FBI used the counterintelligence agency as an isolation silo to stop oversight, even their own leadership, from knowing what they were doing as they weaponized their authority. Gabbard is seeking structural changes to make sure it can never happen again. Kash Patel is against this change.
♦ Readers and online researchers who have used the CTH research library on these issues will note our continued position, proven by decades of evidence, that shows the FBI as a structural agency is compromised from top to bottom with “institutional corruption,” as confirmed by Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley.
Decades of examples of FBI political motivation, including the recently discussed “Arctic Frost” operation, simply prove the FBI is a political agency akin to the Soviet era FSB. The FBI targets any individual, group or entity, who would represent a threat to Washington, DC. This is their primary mission and the reason why so many domestic terror threats were unnoticed.
The FBI is primarily focused on threats to the U.S. system of government, not to threats against the citizens of the nation. At this point in our history, with hundreds of specific examples for citation, this outlook, opinion or view is no longer arguable.
Despite FBI Director Kash Patel continuing to deny the ‘institutional corruption’ of his agency, the corruption exists.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem was also accurate in saying from her experience with the FBI tipping off drug cartels, money launderers and human trafficking operations targeted by CBP/ICE officials, the FBI is corrupt.
We are approaching an inflection point.
President Trump is demanding the institutions of Law and Order must be purged of corrupt actors and the institutions themselves must be cleaned up. DNI Tulsi Gabbard is working through the process of identifying how the various govt silos were weaponized, who weaponized them, what role the intelligence community played in the targeting, and she is taking direct action to change the systems in place in order to take away their capability of doing harm.
FBI Director Kash Patel stands with one foot in agreement with the goals of DNI Gabbard, but also with one foot to maintain institutional power of the FBI while underneath him remains an entire operational system against the goals of Gabbard. Again, in short, Director Kash Patel is trying to serve two masters.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is not beholden to the retention of any silo agency, even her own office. So far, she has been a steward on a mission for the truth regardless of how ugly that truth might appear. This puts a big DC target on the back of Mrs. Gabbard, as the entire DC system is dependent on retention of a very corrupt intelligence information control and operational targeting system.
In examples we have already documented, the CIA (Directorate of Analysis), the DoD (Defense Intelligence Agency), and the Lawfare operatives within the DOJ have all targeted Tulsi Gabbard using DC schemes and manipulative leaks to media in an effort to undermine her and get her removed – they failed. However, now the FBI is participating in the same risk avoidance measures.
DNI Gabbard represents a threat to the operational mission of an institutionally corrupt Federal Bureau of Investigation.
