I took typing class in high school. For some reason, a bunch of us thought it would be an easy ‘A’… 😂
I guess it wasn’t that bad, but you couldn’t bluff your way through it, you had to put in the time and effort.
Turns out it was almost certainly the most valuable single class I ever took.
We learned on manual typewriters. Apparently the thought was that learning on an electric typewriter develops bad habits.
OTOH, guess they didn’t figure manual typewriters would disappear, so learning on an electric probably would have been fine.

I loved chemistry and English the most. I was a chem lab assistant and editor of the high school newspaper and I took the advanced math classes cuz i love numbers.
but typing? nope.
I hated Home Ec and wanted to take Drafting and Shop but I wasn’t allowed to because that was for BOYS. Not taking typing was my rebellion.
I HATED home ec. by that time I had been sewing for years and the home ec teacher hated that i didn’t need her help or want her help. While the other girls were making pillows and such for their first projects–I made a dress with L-shaped darts. She told me if was too ambitious for a first project–I told her I made this pattern before and she said “lying isn’t becoming.” SO i wore it next time we had class. I will never forget the look on her face. pure hatred.
For me it was making a cake and someone had swapped the sugar with salt. It looked beautiful and was nearly poisonous!
I literally quit doing any of the assigned projects at that point and got an F.
when we moved into the cooking/baking semester, she started us with scrambled eggs–I made am omelette instead… saw her pissed off face again.

Typing was required for ALL in the high school I went to in northwestern Nebraska. Manual machines. Everybody learned.
It was required in my high school, too, but I can’t say I learned, lol.
My former Marine hubby – way before I knew him – took typing in high school, and it likely saved his life, or at least his health. When he got out of boot camp at Pendleton and they were going through their MOS designations, some high up guy heard about Hubs and his lightning speed on typewriter & adding machine. He immediately snagged Hubs for a position in the base budget office.
Consequently he never had to deploy to the hell-on-earth we know as Viet Nam. He feels guilty about that, but I know that he would have gone if called, and done his best to protect his fellow Marines.
Like others – I took it in HS as well. I was mediocre at best. The benefit from it was it taught me I was never going to be a good typist and to stay in my lane.

HOOD COUNTY, Texas — Calling it a “good day for the freedom” of the people of his jurisdiction, Hood County Constable John D. Shirley took his frustrations out on undesired monitoring devices by unplugging and covering Flock cameras in his area.
Shirley made public his decision by posting pictures of his disconnecting and covering three Flock cameras this weekend.
On Facebook, Shirley made a mission statement, saying that the flock cameras, which are essentially road-based security cameras that can read license plate numbers and capture other vehicle details for the benefit of law enforcement and other authorities, are “constantly scanning and recording regular folks just going about their day” and that the kind of “warrantless tracking” they engage in does not belong in a free society.
“Privacy isn’t optional, and mass surveillance isn’t how we do things here,” Shirley stated.
He also made a call to what he called “Flock Safety Systems” to “come get your garbage out of my county.”
Indeed, the use of Flock cameras seems to engender a lot of discussion, if not outright passion, for those concerned with privacy and surveillance as dictated by law enforcement. More than 64,000 people have “liked” Shirley’s Facebook post as of this writing, showing that whether as a stunt or a sincere act of expression, many others would like to do the same thing.

“I think the main thing and it’s nationwide is the lack of oversight,” said William Jensen, the Chief Deputy Constable of Hood County Precinct 2 who assisted Shirley with the effort. “I’m not a big fan of the cameras but they do have a useful law enforcement purpose. And anything like this has got to have public oversight,” he said.
“I certainly understand the concept,” said Hood County Judge Elect Mark Lowery who has a 35 year career in law enforcement and security. “But I think in society today, especially in Texas, people in Texas have an expectation of privacy, independence and not being surveilled everywhere they go.”
“The unauthorized use of these cameras for nefarious reason, tracking ex-girlfriends, tracking women, tracking people that shouldn’t be under surveillance, but a law enforcement officer decides they’re going to surveil them,” he said of reports of alleged Flock camera misuse across the country. “And without management and oversight, there’s no way you can control that.”
“We like our privacy, we like our freedoms and our constitutional rights,” said Hood County resident Stephen Stepp who drives past the Hood County Tin Top Highway and Hilltop Road Flock camera daily. “We want all of them taken down.”
The weekend effort disconnected and covered three Flock cameras in unincorporated areas of Hood County. But the city of Granbury has at least two dozen more, obtained in its own contract with Flock.
“We’re not stopping at the county,” said Kolton Krottinger who says he was arrested with the help of Flock cameras after he posted a political meme last year. He has a pending First Amendment lawsuit against the county. “We’ll be seeking the city Flock cameras (for removal) as well,” he said.
“Commissioners’ Court decided at our last meeting to cover the 3 County owned cameras,” said Kevin Andrews, Hood County Commissioner Precinct 1 in a statement to WFAA. “Failure to execute the contract in a timely fashion and the mounting concerns from the citizens regarding potential misuse of the information the Flock LPRs can access have led the Court to cancel our contract with Flock and ask them to remove the cameras.
Our Sheriff’s Office no longer has any access to the cameras, but the units are still in place and powered. We asked a Constable to cover and unplug the three County owned LPRs being careful to not damage them in any way, until they can be removed by Flock.”
Recently, WFAA obtained data showing that Dallas police have searched for vehicles via the Flock automated license plate reader (ALPR) database more than 63,000 times in 2025 in the name of tracking down investigative leads. In public meetings this month, speakers in municipalities such as Carrollton, Richardson and Denton have all spoken vehemently against the use of Flock technology.
Meanwhile, both Dallas and Irving have told WFAA they have reported multiple instances of vandalism towards Flock cameras in recent months.
On the other side of the debate, Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux says the Flock camera network is a “critical law enforcement tool” and he told WFAA’s Inside Texas Politics in a recent interview that he credits Flock with helping his department catch a man who has been accused of two murders.”

Wound dressing on my leg ulcer has changed. I can wash it normally every other day, then apply a slip of “Endoform Natural”, dab it with saline to stick, and slap on a bandaid. The endoform stuff has a bumpy side and a flat side, and it doesn’t matter in this application. Tomorrow morning it goes under compression stockings.

I am not a fan of Walmart for a lot of reasons, but I applaud this corporation for passing the Tariff refund onto it’s customers. Will Target, Lowe’s and Home Depot do the same thing? I doubt it.
Target reported receiving a $994 million refund. TJX, the parent company of TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods, received $331 million.
Home Depot and Lowe’s reported $730 million and $80 million refunds, respectively.
Obviously Lowe’s sells mostly products made in the good old USA.

COMMENTARY FOR 1 CORINTHIANS 13
The necessity and advantage of the grace of love. (1-3) Its excellency represented by its properties and effects; (4-7) and by its abiding, and its superiority. (8-13)1-3 The excellent way had in view in the close of the former chapter, is not what is meant by charity in our common use of the word, almsgiving, but love in its fullest meaning; true love to God and man. Without this, the most glorious gifts are of no account to us, of no esteem in the sight of God. A clear head and a deep understanding, are of no value without a benevolent and charitable heart. There may be an open and lavish hand, where there is not a liberal and charitable heart. Doing good to others will do none to us, if it be not done from love to God, and good-will to men. If we give away all we have, while we withhold the heart from God, it will not profit. Nor even the most painful sufferings. How are those deluded who look for acceptance and reward for their good works, which are as scanty and defective as they are corrupt and selfish!
4-7 Some of the effects of charity are stated, that we may know whether we have this grace; and that if we have not, we may not rest till we have it. This love is a clear proof of regeneration, and is a touchstone of our professed faith in Christ. In this beautiful description of the nature and effects of love, it is meant to show the Corinthians that their conduct had, in many respects, been a contrast to it. Charity is an utter enemy to selfishness; it does not desire or seek its own praise, or honour, or profit, or pleasure. Not that charity destroys all regard to ourselves, or that the charitable man should neglect himself and all his interests. But charity never seeks its own to the hurt of others, or to neglect others. It ever prefers the welfare of others to its private advantage. How good-natured and amiable is Christian charity! How excellent would Christianity appear to the world, if those who profess it were more under this Divine principle, and paid due regard to the command on which its blessed Author laid the chief stress! Let us ask whether this Divine love dwells in our hearts. Has this principle guided us into becoming behaviour to all men? Are we willing to lay aside selfish objects and aims? Here is a call to watchfulness, diligence, and prayer.
8-13 Charity is much to be preferred to the gifts on which the Corinthians prided themselves. From its longer continuance. It is a grace, lasting as eternity. The present state is a state of childhood, the future that of manhood. Such is the difference between earth and heaven. What narrow views, what confused notions of things, have children when compared with grown men! Thus shall we think of our most valued gifts of this world, when we come to heaven. All things are dark and confused now, compared with what they will be hereafter. They can only be seen as by the reflection in a mirror, or in the description of a riddle; but hereafter our knowledge will be free from all obscurity and error. It is the light of heaven only, that will remove all clouds and darkness that hide the face of God from us. To sum up the excellences of charity, it is preferred not only to gifts, but to other graces, to faith and hope. Faith fixes on the Divine revelation, and assents thereto, relying on the Divine Redeemer. Hope fastens on future happiness, and waits for that; but in heaven, faith will be swallowed up in actual sight, and hope in enjoyment. There is no room to believe and hope, when we see and enjoy. But there, love will be made perfect. There we shall perfectly love God. And there we shall perfectly love one another. Blessed state! how much surpassing the best below! God is love, #1Jo 4:8,16|. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. You have changed the course of his life forever, and revealed him to the leftist ghouls who will demand his blood for forever. It doesn’t matter if he was planning to reveal his identity eventually. You still made that choice. And I will make sure you are remembered for this.
So, what was CP’s sin such that you saw it fit to throw him to the wolves?
Last month, he dared to write an article for American Greatness, centered around nine recommendations for War College reform. The recommendations included firing most civilian faculty and ending permanent military faculty positions.
You hold a permanent civilian faculty position at a War College. You did not mention this in your article.
In short, you named him, exposed his life to danger, because you really are arguing for your job and self-preservation.
Know what is the most disgusting, hypocritical part of this is?
In the Fall 2017 issue of eARMOR (the U.S. Army Armor Branch professional journal) you published an article. You titled it “Our Readiness Problem: Brigade Combat Team Lethality.” You opened with General Milley: “Our fundamental task is like no other — it is to win in the unforgiving crucible of ground combat.” Your thesis: “If we are to get after GEN Milley’s No. 1 priority, we must first address brigade combat team (BCT) lethality.” The word “lethality” appears in your article about fifty times. You meant it as a compliment.
Now contrast to today’s piece. You wrote this: “In staking out this Huntingtonian position, the cult of lethality does a disservice to service members and the American people.”
The same word. Nine years apart. You were a field commander then, and lethality was the mission. You are a faculty member now, and lethality is what your critics embarrassingly worship.
Frankly – and you will never realize this – but you yourself are the living, walking example of the thesis which @PeteHegseth is proving.
Also, you named a section of today’s article after Colin Powell. You called him your model of what War College education produces. Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama in 2008, endorsed Joe Biden in 2020, and publicly called Donald Trump “dangerous for our democracy.” Powell, who infamously tipped the scales at the UN to start the Iraq war even after privately doubting the WMD intelligence, is your hero in an article about who gets to reform the military in 2026.
In addition to being a doxxer, you look a lot less like someone who’s defending institutions, and a lot more like someone who exemplifies institutional capture in the name of self-preservation. And you disclosed none of it.
Let me reiterate.

Yours Truly: There are lists of the ingredients of multiple common “vaccines”, such as DTap (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis); hepatitis; influenza — among others.
Ms. Latypova created a “color code legend” for the ingredients listed for each “vaccine” in the post:
Orange = animal derived
Yellow = toxic to humans
Green = allergy irritant
Blue = antibiotic
Pink = human fetal cell line (think HEK293)
IMO, this post by Ms. Latypova, and the listings of “vaccine” ingredients, is important.

Seems as though there is something Toxic in every shot!
Science ran past the very foundational principles of vaccination, which are “risk/benefit” from the git-go, ignoring unknowns that seemed to be bypassed without immediate consequence, and losing perspective on “first, do no harm” when harm was FIRST and largely unknown.
