Since I think this is an important point, I want to continue the discussion about Sama Hoole’s tweet. It is a tweet about colon cancer and establishment lies. After I finished uploading this article I realized these has other major ramifications aside from weakening the serf class. Does Vegan/Vegetarian brain shrinkage and malnutrition contribute to left wing hysteria and lack of critical thinking skills especially in the women?

I made a one liner explanation to each part in this comment for Scott. Scott responded but I did not see the responses until the next day. Hence this article since my response is a bit long.

……

Scott, I though he was clear.

Sama Hoole @SamaHoole

RFK Jr. pointed at the colon cancer figures in young adults this week, and within about four hours the response had arranged itself into the same two instructions we have been issued since 1982. Eat less red meat. Eat more fibre.

Translation: we are getting the same crappy advice as always.

Red meat has a scheduling problem. American beef consumption peaked in 1976 and has fallen by roughly a third since. The generation now being diagnosed at thirty-five ate less of it than any generation of the last century, while early-onset colorectal cancer doubled in two decades. A suspect who has been leaving town for fifty years, still in the dock, still not asked to explain himself.

Translation: It can not be beef because beef consumption has dropped since 1976.

Fibre did worse. They ran it properly, twice, in two countries, thousands of people, years of wheat bran and extra fruit and veg, watching for polyps. The polyps came back at exactly the same rate as in the people eating none of it. Nobody withdrew the advice. Nobody ever does.

Translation: Fibre makes ZERO difference and they have the studies to prove it.

Then last year a team sequenced 981 tumours from eleven countries. Certain E. coli strains make

a toxin called colibactin, which snaps both strands of DNA and leaves a signature so distinctive you can read it off a tumour decades later. In patients diagnosed under forty it turns up 3.3 times more often than in patients over seventy.

Translation: They found the culprit, a toxin called colibactin that snaps strands of DNA.

And they could date it. The mutations were laid down in the first ten years of life. So the damage that produces a tumour at thirty-five was done before that person was old enough to buy anything, choose anything or cook anything. Whatever they had for lunch last Tuesday is not in the frame and never was. Colibactin is also pathetically short lived. It only works on contact. The bacterium has to be physically pressed against the colon lining, and it cannot get there, because the inner mucus layer is a sterile exclusion zone that holds the entire microbiome at arm’s length. Something has to take that barrier down.

Translation: The toxin did it’s dirty work in the 1st ten years of life. However there is a mucus lining that SHOULD prevent the toxin from getting next to the colon lining.

Carboxymethylcellulose. Polysorbate 80. Industrial detergents, filed under emulsifiers, because emulsifier sounds like something a chef does. They are in the ice cream, the bread, the sauces, the protein bars and most of what gets handed to a child. Feed carboxymethylcellulose to healthy adults under supervision and you can watch their bacteria move in and take up residence against the wall.

The toxin is thousands of years old. The barrier it has to get through is the thing that changed, it is on the label, and everybody in this argument is busy discussing a steak.

Translation: It is Polysorbate 80, a detergent/emulsifier, a common ingredient in processed food that lets the toxin get pass the mucus barrier and cause cancer.

AND it is NOT being banned from food.

…..

In one reply to my comment Scott said:

I had no idea what that meant. If the suspected cause of colorectal cancer is beef, and beef consumption has been dropping for 50 years (leaving town), the rest of it I’m not sure about.

If beef is ‘in the dock’, that seems like a court/trial reference, so beef is on trial, but not asked to explain himself?

What is there for beef (the suspect) to explain, if beef isn’t the cause of colorectal cancer?

It’s just confusing (to me!).

I did not realize that Scott was unaware of the constant targeting of beef by the Cabal.

A couple decades ago the Fake News was screaming Red Meat causes cancer!! Then they said Cow Farts (belches) cause Global Warming!!!

June 28, 2019 Red Meat & Cancer—Again! Will It Ever Stop?

The media and blogosphere are abuzz with the latest report from the WHO, which classified cured and processed meats as carcinogens and put them in the same category as asbestos, alcohol, arsenic, and tobacco. But what does the research really tell us about the link between red meat and cancer?

Well, here we go again. Each year, like clockwork, the conventional medical establishment mounts an attack against red meat.

For decades, we were told not to eat it because of the cholesterol and saturated fat it contains. When that argument became less convincing, a new one was offered: we shouldn’t eat red meat because it increases production of a compound called TMAO, which causes heart attacks.

Now we’re being told not to eat red meat—and especially cured and processed meat—because it will give us cancer. In a recent report, the World Health Organization (WHO) ranked bacon, sausage, and other cured and processed meats as “group 1 carcinogens,” which puts them in the same category as tobacco, asbestos, alcohol, and arsenic. It also placed fresh red meat in the “group 2A” category, which suggests that it is “probably carcinogenic” to humans.

Of course, this isn’t a new argument; it’s been around for at least 40 years. As far back as 1975, scientists speculated that the consumption of animal products was linked to cancer. (1)

Note that it is again the magic 1970s decade.

So WHY the targeting? Because a large, Strong, SMART serf class is NOT what the Globalists want for their New World Order.

Vegetarians have smaller brains

There is overwhelming evidence that we can not be a vegetarian species. In 1972 the publication of two independent investigations confirmed this.[1] [2] They concerned fats. About half our brain and nervous system is composed of complicated, long-chain, fatty acids. These are also used in the walls of our blood vessels. Without them we cannot develop normally. These fatty acids do not occur in plants, although fatty acids in a simpler form do. This is where plant-eating herbivores come in. Over the year, the herbivores convert the simple fatty acids found in grasses and seeds into intermediate, more complicated forms. By eating the herbivores we can convert their stores of these fatty acids into the ones we need…

[long discussion]

Using tests and brain scans on community-dwelling volunteers aged 61 to 87 years without cognitive impairment at enrolment, they measured the size of the participants’ brains. When the volunteers were retested five years later the scientists found those with the lowest levels of vitamin B12 intake were the most likely to have brain shrinkage. Not surprisingly, vegans who eschew all foods of animal origin, suffered the most brain shrinkage. This confirms earlier research showing a link between brain atrophy and low levels of B12.

Vegans are the most likely to be deficient because the best sources of the vitamin are meat, particularly liver, milk and fish.

Confirmation of this was provided the following year by another study by the Oxford Project to Investigate Memory and Ageing, the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics, University of Oxford, UK.[19] Noting that vitamin B-12 deficiency is often associated with cognitive deficits, they reviewed evidence that cognition in the elderly may also be adversely affected at concentrations of vitamin B-12 above the traditional cutoffs for deficiency. Their suggestion is that the elderly in particular should be encouraged to maintain a good, rather than just an adequate, vitamin B-12 status by dietary means.

Conclusion

It is obvious that we need to be eating more, not less, meat and animal-sourced foods.

If vegetarians — and vegans in particular — berate you for ‘murdering’ and eating animals, please be kind to them. They are almost certainly suffering from self-inflicted brain atrophy, and have little recognition of both the damage they are doing to themselves and the harm that are doing to others who follow their advice.

Veganism May Shrink the Brain

[They are talking about adults who gave up eating meat, not babies or children. — GC]

Well, this explains a lot. (Just kidding.) There is a theory that eating meat is one reason why human beings developed our bigger brains. Now, credence might be added to that hypothesis with a study that shows non meat eating might actually shrink the brain.

From the story: [Now removed of course -GC]

Scientists have discovered that going veggie could be bad for your brain-with those on a meat-free diet six times more likely to suffer brain shrinkage.

Vegans and vegetarians are the most likely to be deficient because the best sources of the vitamin are meat, particularly liver, milk and fish. Vitamin B12 deficiency can also cause anaemia and inflammation of the nervous system. Yeast extracts are one of the few vegetarian foods which provide good levels of the vitamin.

The link was discovered by Oxford University scientists who used memory tests, physical checks and brain scans to examine 107 people between the ages of 61 and 87.

When the volunteers were retested five years later the medics found those with the lowest levels of vitamin B12 were also the most likely to have brain shrinkage. It confirms earlier research showing a link between brain atrophy and low levels of B12.

Although, as the story states, supplements are available, according to The Vegetarian Society, they have not been proved to be effective...

US babies mysteriously shrinking

Birthweights in the US are falling but no one knows why, according to a study of 36.8 million infants born between 1990 and 2005.

A 52-gram drop in the weight of full-term singletons – from an average of 3.441 to 3.389 kilograms – has left Emily Oken’s team at Harvard Medical School scratching their heads. It can’t be accounted for by an increase in caesarean sections or induced labours, which shorten gestation. What’s more, women in the US now smoke less and gain more weight during pregnancy, which should make babies heavier. Oken suggests that unmeasured factors, such as diet or exercise, could explain why babies are being born lighter.

“For your average baby, 50 grams probably makes no difference at all,” she stresses. But those born substantially lighter could be at increased risk of heart disease and diabetes later in life.

8/29/2009 Red meat consumption: An overview of the risks and benefits

Abstract

Red meat is long established as an important dietary source of protein and essential nutrients including iron, zinc and vitamin B12, yet recent reports that its consumption may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and colon cancer have led to a negative perception of the role of red meat in health. The aim of this paper is to review existing literature for both the risks and benefits of red meat consumption, focusing on case–control and prospective studies. Despite many studies reporting an association between red meat and the risk of CVD and colon cancer, several methodological limitations and inconsistencies were identified which may impact on the validity of their findings.

Overall, there is no strong evidence to support the recent conclusion from the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) report that red meat has a convincing role to play in colon cancer. [Well Surprise, Surprise! –GC]

A substantial amount of evidence supports the role of lean red meat as a positive moderator of lipid profiles with recent studies identifying it as a dietary source of the anti-inflammatory long chain (LC) n−3 PUFAs and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). In conclusion, moderate consumption of lean red meat as part of a balanced diet is unlikely to increase risk for CVD or colon cancer, but may positively influence nutrient intakes and fatty acid profiles, thereby impacting positively on long-term health.

Role of red meat in the diet for children and adolescents.

In 1968, Dobbing (1) suggested that there were vulnerable periods of neurological development that coincided with times of maximal brain growth. These periods begin during foetal development at around the 25th week of gestation and continue for the first two years of postnatal life. Nutrient deficiencies occurring during these vulnerable periods may well have an impact upon brain growth and, hence, neurological and psychomotor development. (1)

These nutrient deficits have subsequently been shown to result in more functional deficiencies rather than physical abnormalities. Not only is optimal nutrition essential for achieving optimal physical and psychosocial development, but it also appears to have significant disease implications for later in adult life. Barker and his epidemiology group in the UK proposed that not only intrauterine malnutrition, but also poor weight gain in the first year of life, was associated with an increased incidence of cardiovascular disease (particularly in adults aged >50 years), hypertension and glucose intolerance during adulthood. (2) Their retrospective, epidemiological report has been supported by several studies on the Netherlands famine during World War II…

The Incredible Shrinking Human

What ten thousand years of bones have been trying to tell us

Consider, for a moment, the humble skeleton.

It cannot be lobbied. It does not receive research grants from the soy industry. It has never appeared on a podcast to promote its new book about plant-based longevity. It just sits there, in its glass case in its museum, holding the shape of a life, and telling you exactly what that life was made of.

Bone is a biological ledger. Every year of growth leaves a record: how much protein was available, how well the body processed it, whether the raw materials were there in sufficient quantity and quality to build a full human being. You cannot retrospectively alter the record. You cannot claim the skeleton would have been taller if only the methodology had been different. The numbers are in the ground. They have been in the ground for thousands of years. And they do not care about your dietary politics.

What follows is their evidence….

Given the continual targeting of red meat over the last five decades the following is important. THE ELITE KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF MEAT!

Medieval English males averaged around 5’5″ to 5’7″. Subsisting primarily on pottage, bread, and whatever could be scavenged from the margins of a feudal food system that had no particular interest in their wellbeing, the peasant population of England sat well below its biological potential for generation after generation.
It would be remiss not to note what was happening above their heads while they were shrinking. The ruling class ate differently. They ate beef, venison, pork, game birds, aged cheese, salted fish. The medieval aristocracy was, predictably, taller than the peasantry it governed. The relationship between protein access and physical stature was not invisible to contemporaries; it was simply regarded as the natural order of things.
And then someone formalised it.
The Forest Laws of Norman England, codified under William I in the 1080s, designated a third of the country’s land as the king’s personal hunting ground. Killing a deer carried the death penalty.
Maiming one was punishable by blinding and castration. A peasant could live on the edge of a forest teeming with protein and starve legally while the gamekeeper rode past.
You can read the full forensic accounting of that history in Forbidden Flesh. What matters here is the relationship between law and skeleton. The centuries of codified meat restriction left a biological signature in the remains of the people it was applied to. You can measure it. It fits in a museum case. The case has a label.

(My guesses)

Japan, 1945 to 1980

In 1945, the average Japanese male stood approximately 5’3″. The diet was predominantly plant-based: rice, vegetables, some fish, very little meat, almost no dairy.

Under American occupation, and subsequently through a deliberate government nutritional programme in the 1950s, Japan introduced school milk, increased meat consumption, and began actively encouraging animal protein intake at a population level. The results were not subtle. Between 1950 and 1980, average male height in Japan increased by approximately three inches. The same genetic population, on the same island, in the same climate, eating differently, producing a different skeleton within a single generation.

This is as close to a controlled experiment as human nutritional science ever gets. One variable changed. The height followed.

Contemporary Japan has maintained those gains. The Japanese government did not respond to its population’s growth by suggesting they return to the pre-war dietary pattern on environmental grounds. They noticed what worked, and they kept doing it. There is a lesson here for anyone paying attention, and apparently several governments that are not…

Oh I think the Cabel is paying attention. Sama Koole is assuming they have our best interests at heart. I do not. -GC

Carboxymethylcellulose and Polysorbate 80.

From Brave AI

Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and Polysorbate 80 (P80) are widely used synthetic emulsifiers in processed foods, eye drops, and cosmetics, primarily to improve texture and prevent separation.

While regulatory bodies like the FDA classify them as “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS), animal and in vitro studies suggest they may negatively impact gut health by altering the intestinal microbiota and promoting low-grade inflammation.  Specifically, P80 has been shown to decrease anti-inflammatory bacterial taxa like Bacteroides dorei, while CMC increases pro-inflammatory species such as Ruminococcus torques

  • Mechanism: Both additives can disrupt the protective mucus layer of the gut and increase intestinal permeability, potentially allowing bacteria to cross the epithelial barrier.
  • Health Risks: These changes are linked to metabolic syndromeobesity, and the promotion of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in predisposed models.
  • Human Evidence: While direct human trials are limited, research on human gut microbiota maintained ex vivo confirms that these emulsifiers increase pro-inflammatory potential within days of exposure.

Polysorbate 80 and carboxymethylcellulose: A different impact on epithelial integrity when interacting with the microbiome

Abstract

The consumption of dietary emulsifiers, including polysorbate 80 (P80) and sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), has raised safety concerns due to its interaction with the intestinal microbiome. This study demonstrated that increasing concentrations of P80 and CMC added to a dynamic four-stage gut microbiota model (BFBL gut simulator) altered the microbiome composition and impacted epithelial integrity in a dose-dependent manner. 16S rDNA amplicon-based metagenomics analysis revealed that these emulsifiers increased microbial groups with proinflammatory capacities while decreasing microbial taxa known to enhance barrier function.

Increasing doses of P80 significantly decreased Bacteroides dorei and Akkermansia, taxa associated with anti-inflammatory potential, while increasing doses of CMC were linked to a higher abundance of Ruminococcus torques and Hungatella, which negatively impact barrier function. Both emulsifiers displayed a different impact on epithelial integrity when interacting with the microbiome. On one hand, supernatants from the BFBL simulator fed with P80 disrupted epithelial integrity to a lesser extent than the additive alone. On the other hand, both the microbiota and the supernatants from the BFBL simulator fed with CMC diminished the epithelial integrity, though the additive itself did not. These findings highlight the need to incorporate the gut microbiome in the risk assessment of these additives.

Brave AI had the clearest definition.

Epithelial integrity refers to the structural and functional coherence of epithelial tissues, ensuring they remain organized, sealed, and mechanically stable to function as effective barriers.  This integrity is primarily maintained by tight junctions, adherens junctions, and desmosomes that seal adjacent cells, preventing the unregulated leakage of substances and pathogens while allowing selective permeability for essential nutrients and ions.

Integrity of the Intestinal Barrier: The Involvement of Epithelial Cells and Microbiota—A Mutual Relationship

Simple Summary

The gastrointestinal tract is a complex organization of various types of epithelial cells forming a single layer of the mucosal barrier, the host mucosal immune system, and microorganisms termed as gut microbiota inhabiting this area. The mucosal barrier, including physical and chemical factors, spatially segregates gut microbiota and the host immune system preventing the development of immune response directed towards non-pathogenic commensals and dietary antigens. However, for the maintenance of the integrity of the mucosal surfaces, cross-talk between epithelial cells and microbiota is required. The microbiome and the intestinal epithelium developed a complex dependence necessary for sustaining intestinal homeostasis. In this review, we highlight the role of specific epithelial cell subtypes and their role in barrier arrangement, the mechanisms employed by them to control intestinal microbiota as well as the mechanisms utilized by the microbiome to regulate intestinal epithelial function. This review will provide information regarding the development of inflammatory disorders dependent on the loss of intestinal barrier function and composition of the intestinal microbiota.

Great stuff! Thank you!

Yes, meat is very important to humans – and has been, for millions of years!

Case in point – the small-brained “hobbits” of the island of Flores, who it turns out only scavenged raw, uncooked meat AFTER Komodo dragons took all the good stuff. No fire, no projectile weapons, and probably very little language.

SD is onto something, IMO. If SD is calling it a false flag (he is generally very conservative on such things), then it has to be a false flag.

There is a motive here that SD didn’t mention – the rise of anti-migrant sentiments in Europe. The globaloids NEED a war with Russia.

If the pattern of Ukraine activity following events which Ukraine outlines is continued, then the next thing we will see is a commercial airliner in Russia targeted and brought down by Ukraine drones and/or missile operations. Zelenskyy will fall back on this warning from today as a justification for the purposeful targeting of an airline in Russia. [Bookmark this – it will happen unless something is done about him]

They are all monsters. Every one of them. Merz, Macron, whoever the UK puppet is this week, Meloni, Rutte, Von der Lyin’, Carney, the grand poobah of Finland, Zelensky.

Monsters.

They (along with Hussein) started this conflict. They have pursued the conflict. They have refused any attempts at peace. They have done everything to escalate. And now they are creating false flags in order to lie their way into war, to declare that Germany (and by extension, the gay e.u.) are now at war with Russia.

It is all so far beyond irresponsible that they should all be prosecuted for crimes against humanity (again).

Very informative, Gail!

I recently had dinner out with three family members, one of whom is an MD and also a vegetarian. I ordered a hamburger; she, something vegetarian. Those at table had a cordial discussion of meal preferences. I quoted a saying:

Eyes in front, likes to hunt.
Eyes on side, likes to hide.

Predators vs. prey.

Thoughts?

pgroup

Yup[. No serious thought required in order to see that truth.

Wolf Moon

YES!

This is true even for arthropods, such as jumping spiders, which (as designed) have evolved both forward, stereoscopic, zoom vision AND “strategic geometric intelligence” comparable to mammals, to help them hunt, rather than trap, prey.

Offensive vs. Defensive vision.

Aubergine

Oh, I’m a predator, all right.

And you are correct. Prey animals have to be on constant guard in all directions. Hunters need focus forward to kill their prey.

Bottom line is that it provides a logical framework for why solar therapies work.

I don’t believe anything about Globull Warming, as a matter of principle. Even if there are elements of truth in it, it has been so politicized and abused by the green climate cult, that the most responsible thing to do is just reject all of it, because it is never presented by serious people who aren’t tied to the climate cult.

And the scare about regular butter. Margarine tastes awful, but salted butter tastes great.

People have been eating red meat, salt and butter for a long time now, I’d guess more than a dozen years. And then some… 😁

And people are still here, so I tend to disregard warnings against stuff like that.

Hi! It is the middle of the night, and I am awake! Because something from yesterday was bugging me, and I didn’t know what it was, but then I figured it out.

In yesterday’s discussion about the Apostle Paul, TT posted part of a long article from the Gospel Coalition. In part, it read:

“When Paul says in 1 Cor. 7:10 that it is “not I, but the Lord” who declares that a husband and wife should not separate, he is drawing on the words of Jesus (e.g., Matt. 19:4-9). When Paul goes on to say that it is “I, not the Lord” who says that a believing spouse should remain with a contented unbelieving spouse, he is acknowledging that Jesus did not explicitly address such a situation, as the Corinthians are now facing.”

Here’s the thing; Paul had no way of knowing whether Jesus explicitly addressed such a situation while here on Earth. When Paul says something is “from the Lord,” his only sources for that are the Holy Spirit or the Old Testament. The writings of the New Testament, detailing what we know of Jesus time on Earth were not yet written. 1 Corinthians predates Matthew. It was written about 53-55 A.D., and the earliest dates for Matthew are between 55-65. Paul can’t be “drawing on” the words of Jesus in Matthew. Paul died between 64-67 A.D. Not one of the Gospels was written before he died.

And remember, the Apostle John wrote that if everything Jesus did or said was written down, the world could not contain the books that would be written, so we don’t know it all even now.

And this reinforces why I am not reading commentaries, but just trying to read the Bible simply for what it says. Because we are so steeped in having the Biblical canon in front of us in its current form that we make assumptions about things that aren’t even possible, like Paul knowing what the “red letters” would be before the canon was finalized!

Now I think I can sleep, lol. See all you night owls in the morning.

scott467

“When Paul says something is “from the Lord,” his only sources for that are the Holy Spirit or the Old Testament.”

____________

Agreed, and unless Paul is specifically quoting or referencing the Old Testament, I would lean toward the Holy Spirit or Jesus Himself (see next post), both of Whom Paul must have been in regular contact with, since the Scriptures he wrote down were by inspiration of God (cf. 2 Timothy 3:16).

And because Paul, as an Apostle, was literally an ambassador for Christ. So when Paul spoke about matters of God, he was speaking with the Authority of Christ, as an ambassador would do.

………………..
“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; [19] And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, [20] For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” (Ephesians 6:18-20, KJV, boldface mine)
………………..

People often use that term, ambassador, referring to themselves or missionaries or religious leaders, etc., but the word ambassador has a very specific meaning, which applied to Paul and the other Apostles, who were personally chosen by Christ, which applies to no one else since then:

…………………..
Ambassador:

1) an official envoy
especially : a diplomatic agent of the highest rank accredited to a foreign government or sovereign and appointed for a special and often temporary diplomatic assignment as the resident representative abroad

She’s the American ambassador to Italy.

2) : an authorized representative or messenger
……………………
.

I had a very interesting discussion with Brave Ai about it:
.

………………………………………………
Me: Does an ambassador speak on behalf of, and with the authority of, the President of the United States, when he meets with foreign leaders?

Brave Ai: Yes. A U.S. Ambassador is the personal representative of the President and, when meeting with foreign leaders, speaks with the full authority of the President and the U.S. executive branch.

They deliver official policy positions, convey presidential messages, and report back to Washington on the host government’s reactions, effectively acting as the President’s direct voice in that foreign country.

.
.

Me: In Ephesians 6:20, Paul refers to himself as an ambassador, the obvious reference being an ambassador to Christ, which would only apply to the Apostles who were personally chosen by Christ, including Paul, correct?

Brave Ai: The verse is correct — Ephesians 6:20 reads: “for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.” The “which” refers to the mystery of the gospel (v. 19). One small correction on your phrasing: Paul is an ambassador for Christ (or of Christ), not “to” Christ.

He represents Christ to the world, not the reverse.

As for the second part of your question — that this role “would only apply to the Apostles who were personally chosen by Christ” — that’s a step too far. While Paul’s apostolic commission was indeed unique (he stresses his direct calling by Christ in Galatians 1:1, 12, 15–16), the ambassador language itself is not restricted to the apostles.

The same Greek term (apostolos / presbeutēs) appears in 2 Corinthians 5:20:

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.”

The “we” in that verse is understood by virtually all mainstream commentators to include all believers, not just the Twelve and Paul. The ambassadorial role — representing Christ, carrying His message of reconciliation — is a calling shared by the whole church.

So: Paul’s specific apostolic authority was unique, but the ambassadorial identity he claims in Ephesians 6:20 is part of a broader New Testament theme that extends to every Christian.

.
.

Me: Here is the complete verse for 2 Cor 5:20, King James version:

“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.”

[note: both instances of the word ‘you’ are italicized, something which I cannot replicate here]

It seems as if Paul may be referring to himself and the other Apostles as ambassadors, and the ‘you’ are the members of the church at Corinth, in which case the members at Corinth would not be ambassadors of Christ, because naturally they don’t speak on behalf of, or with the Authority of Christ.

But the Apostles do speak on behalf of Christ, through the Authority of the Holy Spirit, speaking by inspiration of God.

Brave Ai: You’re right, and I overstated my case in the previous answer. Let me correct that.

The immediate context supports your reading. The “we” in 2 Cor 5:20 most naturally refers to Paul and his fellow ministers/apostles — the ones delivering the message.

The “you” (italicized in the KJV, a supplied word) is the Corinthians — the ones receiving the appeal. They are being told to “be reconciled to God,” which makes them the audience, not the ambassadors. As one commentary puts it plainly: “those he is entreating to be reconciled to God are the Christians in Corinth, who are not ambassadors but those who are in need of ambassadors to them.”

The older commentators agree. Barnes reads “to us” in v. 18 as “to us the apostles and our fellow-laborers.” Alford glosses it simply as “to us — apostles.” Matthew Poole extends it to “all other ministers” of the gospel, but still not to the general congregation.

Where the broader reading comes in is as a theological application, not as the literal referent. The move from “Paul and his co-workers are ambassadors” to “therefore all believers are ambassadors” is a common homiletical step, but it’s an inference, not what the text says in context.

I was wrong to present it as the mainstream exegetical consensus.

On your point about the Holy Spirit: that’s a key distinction. The apostles spoke under divine authority — “we speak in Christ, in confidence through God” (2 Cor 3:2). Their ambassadorship carried the weight of direct, Spirit-authorized commission. That’s categorically different from a believer testifying to what they’ve experienced. The apostolic ambassador speaks as Christ’s authorized representative with plenary authority; a believer speaks for Christ in a derivative, testimonial sense. Conflating the two flattens a real distinction the text itself draws.

.
.

Me: And the dictionary definition (this from the Merriam-Webster website) for Ambassador:

…………………
Ambassador:

1) an official envoy

especially : a diplomatic agent of the highest rank accredited to a foreign government or sovereign and appointed for a special and often temporary diplomatic assignment as the resident representative abroad

She’s the American ambassador to Italy.

2) : an authorized representative or messenger
…………………

A follower of Christ, who is not an Apostle, is not an official envoy, is not a diplomatic agent of the highest rank, is not an authorized representative, and has no authority to speak on behalf of OR for Christ, correct?

Brave Ai: Correct. The dictionary definition supports your conclusion precisely, and the Greek confirms it.

Both occurrences of “ambassador” in the New Testament (2 Cor 5:20 and Eph 6:20) use the same Greek verb presbeuō (πρεσβεύω), which in the ancient world referred specifically to emperor’s legates — formal, commissioned representatives who carried the full authority of the sending sovereign.

As one source puts it: “the word ‘ambassador’ is never used in the New Testament to describe any except the apostles.”

By every criterion in the definition you quoted:

Official envoy — Paul was formally commissioned by Christ (Gal 1:15–16). A non-apostolic believer has no such commission.

Diplomatic agent of the highest rankpresbeuō carried connotations of seniority and rank (from presbus, “elder”). This is a singular, elevated office.

Authorized representative — the ambassador speaks with the authority of the sender, not merely for them. Paul speaks “as though God were making his appeal through us” — the words are God’s words, not his own.

A non-apostolic believer who testifies to what Christ has done in their life is performing a different function — witness (martyr), not ambassador (presbeutēs). The witness reports; the ambassador represents.

The witness speaks from experience; the ambassador speaks with delegated authority.

Conflating the two is what happens when the homiletical extension (“all believers are ambassadors”) is treated as the text’s own claim rather than an inference drawn from it.

I am going to offer a different perspective that will conflict with the AI’s conclusion. I will take the position that every believer is an ambassador of Christ. My argument presents two primary points: 1) The 2Cor 5:18-20 passage is an extension of what Paul says directly before, particularly in verse 17 where he is addressing believers who he represents as new creations. 2) If we are left with the distinction of witness vs ambassador then we may conclude that the Great Commission in Matt 20:18-20 is directed only at the apostles, the primary audience, and not to all believers. Now it is true that the passage does say witnesses, but I don’t believe it is overtly making a distinction between the terms witness and ambassador. That is a possibility, but it is not generally understood that way. I suppose this could be reduced to a battle of AIs, but I will support my argument with my theological AI. My question is below in italics.

In 2Cor 5:18-20, who is Paul referring to as ambassadors of Christ?

In 2 Corinthians 5:20, Paul identifies Christians collectively as “Christ’s ambassadors.” The passage uses the first-person plural “we,” indicating that Paul includes himself alongside other believers in this role.
Rather than addressing only the Corinthian church itself, Paul presents believers as ambassadors to those outside the faith—those being called to reconciliation.1 Paul describes Christians as ambassadors of the message of reconciliation,2 tasked with representing Christ’s offer of peace with God to a world separated from Him.
The ambassadorial role carries significant weight. An ambassador speaks for the party he represents, and much like a Roman ambassador served as the direct representative of the emperor, Christians represent Jesus.2 An ambassador also bears responsibility for bringing people into the kingdom—in this case, God’s kingdom.2 God has entrusted believers with both the ministry of reconciliation and the message of reconciliation, (2 Cor 5:18–20) making every Christian a participant in this diplomatic work.
The choice for Christians is not whether they will serve as ambassadors, since all believers hold this role, but rather whether they will be effective or ineffective ambassadors.3 This calling extends beyond formal ministry positions—it encompasses all who have experienced reconciliation with God through Christ and now represent His appeal to others.

______________

If I had not already researched this point at some time in the past, I might not have pressed the Ai on the matter. I think I would have, but I can’t be sure.

Since I had reason to believe the Ai was wrong, I asked it questions to provoke it to flesh out its response, because I expected it to see the problem, once it did.

For me, the distinction has to do with Authority, and Authority seems like the issue in a large majority of disputed understandings when it comes to Scripture.

If one approaches Scriptural Authority from the perspective of Command, Apostolic example, or necessary (not possible, but necessary) inference, then we always wind up on one side of Authority.

No one disputes direct Commandments, and I can’t think of any disputes over Apostolic example. Disputes are usually in areas where it comes to inference, and whether one goes by necessary inference or possible inference.

If we allow for possible inference, then wiggle room busts wide open and a whole flock of camels stick their noses under the tent, and we’re off to the races for schisms, split congregations, etc.

With regard to Witness vs. Ambassador, the dictionary definition of Ambassador is not in dispute, and apparently the Koine Greek word used in both instances in the New Testament meant the same thing as our current dictionary definition.

We are told to spread the gospel and teach others, and have examples of such, in many parts of Scripture.

But we do not all speak by the Authority of God, in fact, I would argue that no one today speaks by the Authority of God, unless the Apostle John is still around (not that I think he is, but some people do, based on John 21:22).

We know that God is not the Author of confusion (cf. 1 Cor 14:33).

And we know that if 10 different people who self-identify as Christians (e.g., a Presbyterian, a Methodist, a Roman Catholic, a Lutheran, a Mormon, a Baptist, a Pentecostal, an Episcopalian, a Russian Orthodox and a non-denominational Christian, e.g., church of Christ) all have the same opportunity to witness to or teach someone about Christ, they may all agree broadly on broad points, but there will be many points of disagreement among them.

Which, to the person hearing it, would be confusion.

The confusion is because none of us can understand God’s Word perfectly (that’s not an excuse not to try, I think most conflicts can be resolved if we use the same standard for interpretation, e.g., regarding Authority as mentioned previously).

But an Apostle, an ambassador for Christ, one chosen by Christ for that role, one who speaks by inspiration of God, is not going to teach contradictory things, because God does not contradict Himself.

So I don’t see a conflict between the Great Commission, with believers being told to go out into all the world to teach and preach the gospel, as we should all do when the opportunity presents, to the best of our own ability, and the Authority of the Apostles, who were guided by the Holy Spirit and/or the Risen Christ Himself.

Everyone can be a witness to others, and teach others (e.g., as Aquila and Priscilla did for Apollos, cf. Acts 18:26), but not everyone speaks with divine Authority.

Divine Authority rests with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and only Christ’s chosen Apostles (the original 12 and Paul) have Authority to speak, as an ambassador would, on behalf of Christ, because in that role an Apostle is not speaking of himself, but as a representative of Christ, speaking by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, or by inspiration of God, or by inspiration of Christ.

That is my own understanding.

I did want to confirm that there were no instances where the Apostles contradicted each other. I could not think of any, but I asked Brave Ai to see what, if anything, it might come up with.

Please see next post.

Me: Which passages in Scripture, if any, show the Apostles disagreeing?
.

Brave Ai: Scripture records several instances of disagreement among the Apostles and early disciples, ranging from personal disputes to significant theological and practical conflicts.

Personal Ambition and Leadership Disputes
The Gospels record that the disciples frequently argued about who would be the greatest in the Kingdom of God.

In Luke 9:46 and Mark 10:41-45, an argument arose among them regarding status, prompting Jesus to teach that true greatness is found in servanthood.
Additionally, in John 20:3-4, Peter and the “other disciple” (traditionally John) raced to the tomb, with the text noting the other disciple outran Peter, indicating a competitive dynamic.

The Incident at Antioch (Peter and Paul)
The most significant recorded conflict occurred between Peter and Paul in Antioch, described in Galatians 2:11–14.

Peter initially ate with Gentile believers but withdrew from them when men from James arrived, fearing criticism from Jewish Christians. Paul publicly rebuked Peter for hypocrisy and for compromising the truth of the Gospel by implying Gentiles needed to follow Jewish customs to be saved.

The Jerusalem Council (Circumcision Debate)
In Acts 15:1–2, a sharp dissension and debate arose between Paul and Barnabas and certain men from Judea who insisted that Gentile converts must be circumcised to be saved.

This theological disagreement was severe enough that the church sent Paul, Barnabas, and others to Jerusalem to consult the apostles and elders. The resulting Council of Jerusalem resolved the issue by deciding that Gentiles did not need to be circumcised, though they should abstain from certain practices.

Paul and Barnabas Parting Ways
Following the Jerusalem Council, Paul and Barnabas had a “sharp disagreement” over whether to take John Mark on their second missionary journey.

Paul refused because Mark had deserted them previously, while Barnabas wanted to give him another chance. Acts 15:39 states the disagreement was so intense that they parted company, with Barnabas taking Mark to Cyprus and Paul choosing Silas for his own mission.

Early Administrative Dispute
In Acts 6:1, a murmuring arose among the Hellenistic Jewish believers against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution of food.

While this involved the broader group of disciples rather than just the twelve Apostles, it required the Apostles to intervene and appoint seven deacons to resolve the administrative conflict.

.
.

Me: The first example (Personal Ambition and Leadership Disputes) occurred when Jesus was still in the world, their learning was not yet complete, and the Holy Spirit had not yet come into the world to guide them in all things.

The second example (The Incident at Antioch (Peter and Paul)) was not so much a dispute as an error in need of correction. No one claims the Apostles are perfect like Christ is, they are still fallible men. When Paul pointed out Peter’s error, Peter did not resist him, Peter recognized his error and made correction, correct? In which case the dispute was resolved.

The third example (The Jerusalem Council (Circumcision Debate)) involved Paul and Barnabas. Barnabas was not an Apostle chosen by Christ, as Paul and the original 12 were.

And it was a sect of the Pharisees who disputed with Paul when the council met at Jerusalem, not another Apostle who was chosen by Christ. Peter affirmed what Paul had taught, that Gentiles do not keep the Law of Moses (as even the Jews were unable to keep the Law of Moses). And when the dispute was resolved and letters written to the churches, in Acts 15:28 it says “For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;”

So whose (or Whose) Authority resolved the issue? The first mentioned is the Holy Ghost, and there is no doubt that the Holy Ghost, being part of the Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Ghost), is the Authority in the matter.

The fourth example (Paul and Barnabas Parting Ways Following the Jerusalem Council, Paul and Barnabas had a “sharp disagreement” over whether to take John Mark on their second missionary journey), again, Barnabas was not an Apostle chosen by Christ as the original 12 plus Paul were.

The fifth example (Early Administrative Dispute In Acts 6:1), as you mentioned, was not a dispute among or between the Apostles, it was a grievance brought to the Apostles’ attention by the Greek members of the church, and the Apostles addressed and resolved it.

My original inquiry was an effort to find any example where the Authority of the Apostles (those chosen by Christ) was ever in conflict, because the Apostles, speaking by inspiration of God, and having access to the Holy Spirit (and Paul mentioning several occasions of communicating with the Risen Christ), there should be no contradiction among the chosen Apostles, on any matter of doctrine or belief or practice. Because when the Apostles speak on a matter having to do with God, God is speaking through them, and God, being perfect, does not contradict Himself.

If my observations are correct, it seems that the examples you presented are not applicable to my original inquiry. Are there any other examples which might be?
.

Brave Ai: Your observations are well-reasoned, and I concur that none of those examples fit the specific criterion you’re applying — a direct doctrinal contradiction between two or more apostles personally chosen by Christ.

The closest remaining candidate is the apparent tension between Paul and James on justification (Romans 3–4 vs. James 2:24).

However, this faces two problems for your framework:

First, James (brother of Jesus) is not among the Twelve chosen by Christ, nor is he Paul. He is listed as one of the “pillars” in Galatians 2:9 and as one to whom the risen Christ appeared (1 Corinthians 15:7), which some traditions treat as apostolic, but he was not appointed in the same manner as the Twelve or Paul. Under your definition, he falls outside the group.

Second, the majority of scholars (across denominational lines) read the two as addressing different questions, not contradicting each other. Paul argues that a person is justified before God by faith apart from works of the Mosaic Law.
James argues that genuine faith necessarily produces visible works — his equation is not “faith + works = justification” but “faith − works ≠ justification.” They are complementary, not contradictory.

As for the apostles chosen by Christ specifically, the New Testament record appears to support your conclusion.

As one source puts it:

“The writings of apostles and apostolic men are in agreement in doctrine. The apostles indicated throughout the New Testament that each other could be trusted on matters of doctrine, and never indicated otherwise.”

The one passage that most directly bears on this is 2 Peter 3:15–16, where Peter refers to Paul’s writings as Scripture on equal footing with the rest, calling Paul “our beloved brother” and acknowledging “the wisdom given to him.” This is a post-Pentecost, apostle-to-apostle affirmation of doctrinal agreement.

So, to answer your question directly: I am not aware of any passage in Scripture that records a direct doctrinal contradiction between two apostles chosen by Christ. The conflicts that are recorded are either

(a) pre-Pentecost,

(b) between an apostle and non-apostolic figures,

(c) an apostle correcting another apostle’s conduct (not doctrine), or

(d) opposition from outside the apostolic group (Judaizers, Pharisees, etc.).

In every case where the apostles gathered to address a question, the record shows them arriving at unified resolution under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Me: Does the Bible record anywhere that Paul spoke directly with Jesus, after his conversion on the road to Damascus? Or was that the only time we can be sure of?

Brave Ai: “Yes, the Bible records multiple instances of Paul speaking directly with Jesus after his initial conversion on the road to Damascus.

While the Damascus encounter is the most detailed and famous, other accounts in the Acts of the Apostles and Paul’s own epistles confirm ongoing direct communication.

Visions in Corinth and Jerusalem: In Acts 18:9-10 and Acts 23:11, the Lord stands by Paul in the night and speaks to him directly, offering encouragement and instruction during his ministry in Corinth and Jerusalem.

Paul’s Epistles: Paul references receiving direct revelation from Jesus Christ in Galatians 1:11-12, stating he did not receive his gospel from man but through a revelation of Jesus. He also alludes to a specific vision in 2 Corinthians 12:1-7, where he describes being caught up to the third heaven and hearing “indescribable words” (traditionally understood as words spoken by God or Jesus).

The Lord’s Supper: In 1 Corinthians 11:23, Paul explicitly states that he received the tradition of the Last Supper “from the Lord,” implying a direct transmission of this teaching from Jesus.

Scholars note that while Paul’s own letters provide fewer narrative details than Acts, they consistently affirm that his apostolic authority and specific teachings were derived from direct revelations and communications with the risen Christ, not merely from the initial Damascus event.”

Aubergine

I think you are actually confirming my thoughts about when Paul writes “I, not the Lord.”

Because I understand, Paul was in direct communication with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I know that from Scripture.

So, when Paul says, “I, not the Lord,” I think we should take him at his word. Paul is confirming that Jesus didn’t tell Paul to write what he wrote, and the ultimate authority over an ambassador is the sender. So I revert to the Sender when the ambassador appears to vary from what the Sender did or said.

Paul appears to have had some personal preferences re: marriage.

I find it EXTREMELY frustrating that, in almost every commentary or answer to questions about what Paul wrote, it is assumed he had access to the New Testament we have today, even though it wasn’t written yet. Let me share an example (I underlined things):

Me: “every instance Paul stated I, not the Lord, or the Lord, not I”

Google AI:

All explicit instances where the Apostle Paul contrasts his own instruction with the direct teachings of Jesus occur in 1 Corinthians 7. [1]

The Instances in 1 Corinthians 7

  • 1 Corinthians 7:10 (Not I, but the Lord)

“To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband.”

  • Meaning: Paul refers to the direct, explicit teachings given by Jesus during His earthly ministry concerning divorce (such as in Matthew 19:4–9). [1, 2, 3]

1 Corinthians 7:12 (I, not the Lord)

“But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.”

  • Meaning: Paul addresses a specific scenario (believers married to unbelievers) that Jesus did not explicitly cover or pronounce upon during His time on earth. [1, 3]

1 Corinthians 7:25 (No command of the Lord, but an opinion/judgment)

“Now concerning virgins I have no command of the Lord, but I give my opinion as one who by the Lord’s mercy is trustworthy.”

  • Meaning: Paul clarifies that he has no specific, recorded prior ruling from Jesus on the marriage of young unmarried adults, offering inspired apostolic counsel instead. [1, 2]

1 Corinthians 7:40 (According to my judgment / having the Spirit)

“Yet in my judgment she is happier if she remains as she is. And I think that I too have the Spirit of God.”

  • Meaning: Concluding the chapter regarding widows remarrying, Paul emphasizes his counsel with a rhetorical appeal to his apostolic inspiration and guidance by the Holy Spirit. [1, 2, 3]

The explanation for Paul “knowing” everything that would come in the New Testament is “oral tradition.” But that doesn’t prove a negative. If something was “in” the oral tradition, Paul knew it. If something was left “out” of the oral tradition, but included later in the Gospels (and we have no way of knowing whether anything was; the Gospels were written under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, which could mean things were added that were not in the oral tradition), Paul would not know those things, unless he was told them by the Holy Spirit, or Jesus.

Here’s the other thing; the Trinity. Are we going to conclude that Paul thought Jesus and the Holy Spirit were separate things? If he wrote something given to him by Jesus, and wrote something given to him “having the Spirit,” did he believe those were separate sources?

And if “having the Spirit” meant “everything Paul wrote was God-breathed,” there would be no need for “I, not the Lord” to ever be written, because everything Paul wrote down would have been “from the Lord.”

I am comfortable taking Paul at his word, when he says “I, not the Lord.” He is giving his opinion, outside of Authority, and he is telling the Corinthians exactly that.

Robert Baker

I am comfortable taking Paul at his word, when he says “I, not the Lord.” He is giving his opinion, outside of Authority, and he is telling the Corinthians exactly that.

One point to consider is that Paul’s letters were later given status as Scripture by the Church. Extrapolating the reasoning about the authority of the Scripture would then conclude that Paul’s opinions were “God breathed” and thus suitable for teaching, correction, etc.

Aubergine

Thank you, Robert.

I am more thinking of what Paul himself believed as he wrote the words, though.

Sleep well, beloved eggplant.

Aubergine

Thank you! I did.

TheseTruths

I’m not arguing one way or the other about the main question.

Paul had no way of knowing whether Jesus explicitly addressed such a situation while here on Earth. When Paul says something is “from the Lord,” his only sources for that are the Holy Spirit or the Old Testament.

How can we be sure of this?

As stated here:

Regardless of how the synoptic gospels were authored or compiled, if we accept all of the ten New Testament letters that are internally attributed to Paul, biblical scholars tell us that these letters span a time period of approximately 50-65 CE. But it is most likely that Jewish-Christian communities had already created solid oral tradition about Jesus, which surely included much reminiscing by Jesus’ selected apostles, prior to 50 CE. If so, that means content in the synoptic gospels originated prior to similar content in Paul’s letters. This way of looking at this NT written evidence therefore disregards the mode of communication–whether by written form or oral form–and only regards the origin of the communication itself.

https://www.patheos.com/blogs/kermitzarleyblog/2017/03/came-first-pauls-letters-synoptic-gospels/

This is a review of a book by Stanley Porter that hypothesizes that Paul might have met Jesus. I’m only emphasizing info about Paul’s interactions with the disciples.

There are other occasions during Jesus’ time in Jerusalem during which it would seem highly likely that Saul would have been present, not as a leader, but as a young observer. After all he had seen and heard, both before and after Jesus’ death, zealous young Saul (Acts 8:3) took the initiative to obtain a commission to Damascus (Acts 9:1-2). Perhaps he saw it as the opportunity he looked for to advance his career as a rabbi.

Jesus changed all of that — giving Saul a new faith, new zeal, and a new commission, not to mention eventually also, a new name (Acts 9:3-20).

Then, three years after his conversion and calling, Saul/Paul went up to Jerusalem and visited with Peter for 15 days, also meeting with the Lord’s brother James. We cannot doubt what they talked about during their time together, nor should we doubt that Paul would have learned much about Jesus Himself and His teaching…

Porter considers at length and in detail passages that directly suggest that Paul had personally meet Jesus, offering thought provoking exegesis of Paul’s conversion story in Acts 9, 22, and 26,8 and of 1 Corinthians 9:19 talk(“Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?”) and 2 Corinthians 5:1610 (“Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we knowHim thus no longer.”). I find his exegesis of these passages persuasive, but there is far too much material even to provide a simple summary.

…If, as I have argued, Matthew was written in AD 30,12 not long after Pentecost, and Mark written not long after the conversion of Cornelius’ household, then all of Paul’s allusions to Jesus’ teaching could have come from his knowledge of written Scripture. Luke, Paul’s traveling companion, would have composed his Gospel not long after Paul’s early epistles had been written. Of course, Paul and Luke, traveling together and spending time together in Rome while Paul was under house arrest, would have had long conversations about Jesus and His teaching.

https://theopolisinstitute.com/before-his-conversion-paul-knew-jesus/

That’s supposition, but from what I’ve seen, there is no definitive answer to what Paul knew and when he knew it. That he knew and talked with disciples is certain, so it seems highly likely that a new convert would have wanted to soak up all the knowledge that he could from people who interacted with Jesus while He was on earth. And that would have happened orally, not necessarily as tradition, but as communicating the actual teachings of Jesus.

I think Paul could have known what was said by Jesus even without written Gospels. (I even think God could have communicated that to Paul without that fact having been written anywhere.)

Aubergine

All good discussion, and appreciated. I don’t personally believe that the Gospels were written that early, but it is interesting.

White House Releases Details of U.S-Venezuela Oil Deal
September 1, 2026

SD: “The White House has released details of the U.S-Venezuela oil deal [SOURCE HERE].”

comment image

WHITE HOUSESECURING STABLE & LOW-COST OIL SUPPLY IN OUR HEMISPHERE: In the biggest oil deal in world history, President Donald J. Trump has secured U.S. majority control of more than 65 billion barrels of proven oil reserves in Venezuela – vastly expanding our current U.S. territorial proven reserves of roughly 46 billion barrels. This deal secures our energy dominance for the next century — all at zero cost to the United States. The deal, signed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, gives the U.S. government powerful governance rights, economic ownership, and guaranteed low-cost off-take from a new private Venezuelan oil champion, which will be the second-largest private oil company by reserves in the world:

♦ In connection with this agreement, the Venezuelan interim authorities have granted North American Blue Energy Partners (NABEP), a privately held oil company that is the second-largest private Venezuelan oil producer and a proven operator, 100-year concessions for 17 oil fields with proven reserves of approximately 65 billion barrels.

♦ At no cost to the American taxpayer, NABEP has granted the U.S. Department of War’s Office of Strategic Capital a 35% equity stake in its corporate parent, representing up to hundreds of billions in value and dividends for the United States.

♦ NABEP has granted the U.S. Department of State the right to purchase, at production cost, a guaranteed 20% of the off-take from all current and future fields NABEP will operate—ensuring a stable supply of low-cost oil that can facilitate refilling the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), which Joe Biden depleted to historic lows, and to provide supply for military and other sensitive uses.

♦ NABEP has also granted the U.S. Department of State the right of first refusal to purchase the remaining 80% of its production, providing a guaranteed source of energy in our hemisphere in emergency situations.

♦ The U.S. government has a veto power over the appointment of any member of the board of directors, and a majority of NABEP’s board of directors must be U.S. citizens. NABEP will have reputable U.S. auditors, lawyers, and advisors and the U.S. government’s agreement with NABEP is governed by U.S. law and is subject to the jurisdiction of U.S. courts.

♦ Millions of barrels of new Venezuelan output will be processed through U.S. refineries and pumped with American rigs and infrastructure, supporting billions in investment in the United States and thousands of jobs here at home.

DRIVING ECONOMIC RECOVERY & THE RECONSTRUCTION OF VENEZUELA’S OIL SECTOR: This groundbreaking privatization and investment in Venezuela’s energy sector is a key step in the Trump Administration’s three-part plan of stabilization, reconstruction and democratic transition. Private-sector led growth in production, output, and investment in Venezuela is a key precondition to driving continued reform and democratic transition following the incredible success of Operation Absolute Resolve:

♦ NABEP has developed an ambitious plan to rapidly scale production by investing up to $100 billion in new oil infrastructure in Venezuela, helping to drive economic growth, support thousands of high-paying jobs in Venezuela, and lead to tens of billions in broader economic activity.

♦ NABEP’s concessions are governed by Venezuela’s new hydrocarbons law, adopted with U.S. support, which provides for historic modernization, privatization and development of Venezuela’s lagging oil sector. Under this framework, as it scales production, NABEP will pay an expected $200 billion in royalty and tax payments over the first 25 years, representing critical revenue and fiscal support for current and future Venezuelan governments to fund reconstruction and social development.

♦ After years of underinvestment and mismanagement, the majority of Venezuela’s oil fields are not producing or vastly underproducing. By investing in a proven private operator with a track record of scaling production in the country, who will be able to raise private American capital to fund capital expenditures, Venezuela has a historic opportunity to revitalize its key sector, drive oil output growth, and grow its economy.

♦ The U.S. government’s robust governance and audit provisions, along with the Trump Administration’s banking reform, payment oversight and financial monitorship, will ensure tax and royalty payments are spent in the interests of the Venezuelan people.

♦ The United States is sponsoring reconciliation talks between the 2015 National Assembly and the interim authorities – a process which has already resulted in significant reforms to the Venezuelan judiciary, the release of hundreds of political prisoners, and cooperative efforts to finance reconstruction following the devastating June earthquakes. The process will continue with additional meetings in September.

REASSERTING THE MONROE DOCTRINE & EXPELLING FOREIGN ADVERSARIES FROM OUR HEMISPHERE: The majority of the incremental oil fields to be operated by NABEP were previously controlled or operated by Russian and Chinese firms, or by corrupt cronies of Maduro and Chavez. These malign foreign actors looted Venezuela’s resources for the benefit of American adversaries like Cuba, Russia and China and failed to invest in Venezuela’s infrastructure or development.

♦ President Trump has re-established the Monroe Doctrine, purging foreign malign influence from our backyard and ensuring American dominance in our hemisphere is never again questioned.

♦ By working with both new and old partners, President Trump’s Administration is forging new robust, strategic and defensible supply chains in our hemisphere to support the revitalization of our manufacturing and energy sectors after years of globalist decline.

From His Own Lips Canadian PM Mark Carney Explains the Four Issues He Used to Break a U.S-Canada Trade Discussion
September 1, 2026

SD: “Within 12 hours of the Friday announcement that Canada had walked away from trade discussions with the U.S, we were able to piece together what the four points were. Several people disagreed and claimed something else was involved. Today, Prime Minister Mark Carney affirmed specifically the accuracy of those four points.

While Prime Minister Carney used his verbose gaslighting to describe them, you can listen for yourself. It boiled down to four issues: [1] U.S. streaming services writing code for “search engines” in the French language (cultural issue). [2] The U.S. having a right to reject a trade deal made by Canada with a non-market economy, ie. CHINA. [3] Removal of tariffs on Canadian assembled heavy trucks, semi-trucks and industrial trucks (not in the auto sector). [4] Canada demanding 5% of gross revenues from U.S. tech platforms, with an attitude that U.S. controls North American trade.

You can listen to his own words describing these issues.  WATCH:
.

.

The United States must, as a matter of U.S. national security and survival, immediately cut all trade ties with Canada completely. I’ll explain why this is so critical and important.
The most appropriate metaphor is the drowning victim (Canada) with an intentionally placed anchor on its foot (China), now becoming a threat to the rescue swimmer (USA).  If we don’t cut ties, we risk our own livelihood.

Here’s the four counterpoints:”

Because of the Orange Irritant, our Great American President Donald J Trump. The devil’s team reveals itself constantly. President Trump didn’t do this or that, therefore we’d be better off with a Bush or a Barry Obama. Get real folks. How can people be so stupid$$$$.

Is President Trump perfect of course not, but simply put: “Perfect is the enemy of good” As for me I think President Trump is awesome, keep up the good work.

We’ve all heard this story told so many ways over the decades but still pertinent as people get weak kneed. Many fail to see how remarkable the opportunity of having a President Trump at the helm, really is.

For me this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, with all of the horse manure, I know there’s a pony in there.

“Over lunch today I asked Ed Meese about one of Reagan’s favorite jokes. ‘The pony joke?’ Meese replied. ‘Sure I remember it. If I heard him tell it once, I heard him tell it a thousand times.’”
“The joke concerns twin boys of five or six. Worried that the boys had developed extreme personalities – one was a total pessimist, the other a total optimist – their parents took them to a psychiatrist.”
“First the psychiatrist treated the pessimist. Trying to brighten his outlook, the psychiatrist took him to a room piled to the ceiling with brand-new toys. But instead of yelping with delight, the little boy burst into tears. ‘What’s the matter?’ the psychiatrist asked, baffled. ‘Don’t you want to play with any of the toys?’ ‘Yes,’ the little boy bawled, ‘but if I did I’d only break them.’”
“Next the psychiatrist treated the optimist. Trying to dampen his out look, the psychiatrist took him to a room piled to the ceiling with horse manure. But instead of wrinkling his nose in disgust, the optimist emitted just the yelp of delight the psychiatrist had been hoping to hear from his brother, the pessimist. Then he clambered to the top of the pile, dropped to his knees, and began gleefully digging out scoop after scoop with his bare hands. ‘What do you think you’re doing?’ the psychiatrist asked, just as baffled by the optimist as he had been by the pessimist. ‘With all this manure,’ the little boy replied, beaming, ‘there must be a pony in here somewhere!’”
What does this have to do with where we find ourselves. When you watch the enemy MSM you would think that our Great American President Donald J Trump is the anti-Christ.

When in truth I believe he is the anti-anti-Christ, though far from perfect is the exact battering ram to dislodge the demons who have commandeered the helm in the West. God usually chooses imperfect people for his will, Moses, Jonah, David, Elijah, …etc.

As we approach the midterm (s)election look for all manner of crap being slung by the demons.
So, we must ask ourselves: “If not President Trump then who? “

I’ve yet to hear a real answer to that simple question. Fools like Tucker, Candice, Alex etc. are tools/dupes of the old system, be careful of the snake oil peddlers.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the USA and the West that I haven’t seen in nearly seven decades of life. If we’re not careful, we’ll nit-pic ourselves back into the dark matrix and then oblivion.

This is “A Time for Choosing” Ronald Reagan 1964

MAGA! …with God the only way.

TheseTruths

Fools like Tucker, Candace, Alex etc. are tools/dupes of the old system, be careful of the snake oil peddlers.

Maybe, in the sense that they do not want PDJT and MAGA to restore America. But I also see them as something new. I’ve never seen people turn so quickly and so brazenly. The old system didn’t provide the platforms that we have now. Thankfully, those current platforms also provide the means to discredit the grifters.

Three men were killed in a shooting at a gay bar’s parking lot in Tucson, Ariz. on Aug. 31. The suspected shooter, one of the deceased, is an African Muslim named Ousman Ceesay. The case is being investigated as an anti-LGBTQ+ incident due to the Muslim being found with a list of targeted gay businesses.

One of the victims has been identified as radical Antifa associate Cameron Davis Capara. He advocated anti-American views and supported mass illegal migration. He claimed to be a journalist.

Many LGBTQ+ people have been killed by extremist Muslims in the U.S. but the legacy queer groups routinely advocate in support of fundamentalist Islam and condemn those who blaspheme against the religion. ngocomment.com

@SamaHoole
RFK Jr. pointed at the colon cancer figures in young adults this week, and within about four hours the response had arranged itself into the same two instructions we have been issued since 1982. Eat less red meat. Eat more fibre.

Fibre did worse. They ran it properly, twice, in two countries, thousands of people, years of wheat bran and extra fruit and veg, watching for polyps.

The polyps came back at exactly the same rate as in the people eating none of it. Nobody withdrew the advice. Nobody ever does.

Then last year a team sequenced 981 tumours from eleven countries.

Certain E. coli strains make a toxin called colibactin, which snaps both strands of DNA and leaves a signature so distinctive you can read it off a tumour decades later. In patients diagnosed under forty it turns up 3.3 times more often than in patients over seventy.

I went to look for the study of colibactin because it sounded too specific to be invented, and no, it’s real.

Nature, April 2025, 981 tumors from 11 countries. Mutations are 3.3 times more common in people diagnosed before the age of 40. And yes, they could date them to the first 10 years of life.

examines the rise in colorectal cancer among young adults, rejecting blame on red meat (whose consumption has declined since the 1970s) and fiber, whose supplementation did not reduce polyp risk in studies. The key element is a 2025 Nature study of 981 tumors from 11 countries: the toxin colibactin from E. coli causes specific DNA mutations 3.3 times more often in people under 40, and the damage begins in the first 10 years of life. The author points to emulsifiers (carboxymethylcellulose, polysorbate 80) in processed products for children as a factor that damages the intestinal mucus layer, allowing bacteria to contact the epithelium — illustrated by a photo of a typical children’s meal with ice cream, bread, and snack bars.User: Are all emulsifiers harmful, and only for children?Answer:No, not all emulsifiers are equally harmful, and they do not affect only children.Emulsifiers are additives that help mix fat with water (e.g., in ice cream, sauces, bread, bars, and ultra-processed products). Research shows varied effects depending on the type of substance.
Not all emulsifiers act the same way

The most studied and most concerning are carboxymethylcellulose (CMC, E466) and polysorbate 80 (P80, E433). In animal models and some human studies they affect the gut microbiota, reduce the thickness or integrity of the mucus layer, promote bacteria moving closer to the epithelium, lower production of short-chain fatty acids, and can increase low-grade inflammation.Similar or stronger effects have been observed with some carrageenans and gums (e.g., xanthan, guar).Natural emulsifiers such as soy or egg lecithin usually show a weaker or minimal negative impact on the microbiota in comparative studies. Some substances (e.g., gum arabic) may even support beneficial bacteria.Effects depend on dose, duration of exposure, individual microbiota, and overall diet. In short-term studies in healthy adults, changes in microbiota and metabolites are sometimes visible, but they do not always lead to clear systemic inflammation. Not only in children

Effects can also occur in adults — studies in healthy volunteers have shown, among other things, disruption of microbiota composition and metabolome after CMC, as well as cases of bacteria penetrating the mucus layer.Early-childhood exposure (and even maternal exposure during pregnancy/breastfeeding) is of particular interest because the microbiota and immune system develop in the first years of life. Mouse studies suggest possible long-term consequences (impaired immune training, greater susceptibility to inflammation and metabolic problems in adulthood). In the context of the earlier discussion of colibactin and DNA mutations arising in the first decade of life — frequent exposure of children to products containing problematic emulsifiers may have greater cumulative importance.Practical implications
Most data come from animal models and in vitro work; human clinical studies are still limited and short-term. Regulatory bodies (FDA, EFSA) consider approved emulsifiers safe at permitted levels, but there are signals of potential risks with high, chronic intake from ultra-processed foods. The most reasonable approach is to limit highly processed foods in general (not only because of emulsifiers). There is no need to panic-avoid every lecithin, but it is worth paying attention to CMC, polysorbate 80, and similar substances, especially in children, people with inflammatory bowel disease, or those whose diet relies heavily on packaged products.Science in this area is still developing — conclusions may become more precise as longer human studies appear.User: Are E466 and E433 allowed in Poland?Answer:Yes, both E466 and E433 are allowed in Poland. As an EU member state, Poland directly applies EU food additive rules (mainly Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 and later amendments).
E466 – sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (cellulose gum, CMC)

It is an authorized food additive in the EU and in Poland.Permitted in many food categories (often on a quantum satis basis — the amount needed to achieve the intended technological effect).Restriction from 2025/2027: Commission Regulation (EU) 2025/666 withdraws authorization for use of E466 in dietary foods for special medical purposes for infants and young children (categories 13.1.5.1 and 13.1.5.2). The ban will apply fully from 27 April 2027 (with a transitional period for products already on the market). In other foods for the general population it remains permitted. Specifications have also been updated (including lower limits for toxic elements).E433 – polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate (polysorbate 80)

It is fully permitted in the EU and in Poland as part of the polysorbate group (E432–E436).Used in ice cream, sauces, fat emulsions, desserts, and other products, with specified maximum levels depending on the food category.EFSA set a group ADI (acceptable daily intake) of 25 mg/kg body weight per day. There is no information about withdrawal or significant restrictions on its use in general foods. In summary: both additives are legal on the Polish market in most food products. E466 has restrictions in medical foods for infants and young children (from 2027). Information about the presence of an additive is always on the product label (as E466 / cellulose gum or E433 / polysorbate 80).

Grok AI elaborates on the 2025 Nature Study

Explore the 2025 Nature study on colibactin
Thought for 59s

The 2025 Nature study is titled “Geographic and age variations in mutational processes in colorectal cancer” (Díaz-Gay et al., published online 23 April 2025; Nature volume 643, pages 230–240).
nature.com
It is part of the Cancer Grand Challenges Mutographs project (funded by Cancer Research UK) and involved collaboration among the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), University of California San Diego (led in part by Ludmil Alexandrov), the Wellcome Sanger Institute, and others. First author Marcos Díaz-Gay later established a group at Spain’s CNIO.
Study Design and Scope
Researchers performed whole-genome sequencing on 981 colorectal cancer (CRC) genomes from patients across 11 countries on four continents. Countries included both high-incidence settings (e.g., Japan, Argentina, Canada, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Serbia) and intermediate-incidence ones (e.g., Brazil, Colombia, Iran, Thailand). They examined mutational signatures—characteristic patterns of DNA damage left by specific processes. The analysis focused especially on the 802 microsatellite-stable (MSS) tumors, as microsatellite-unstable cases showed fewer major geographic or age differences.
Key Findings on Colibactin
Colibactin is a genotoxic metabolite produced by certain gut bacteria (most notably Escherichia coli strains carrying the pks/polyketide synthase pathogenicity island, and some other species). It causes distinctive DNA damage, primarily detected as mutational signatures SBS88 (single-base substitutions) and ID18 (small insertions/deletions).Main results:

These colibactin-linked signatures were 3.3 times more common in individuals diagnosed with CRC before age 40 than in those diagnosed after age 70. nature.comThey were enriched in early-onset CRC overall (stronger signals before age 50) and showed a clear inverse correlation with age at diagnosis.Colibactin exposure signatures appeared in about 21% of the MSS cases and were associated with a younger median age of onset (roughly 62 vs. 67 years). The mutations were imprinted early in tumor development. Combined with prior evidence, the timing analysis indicates the mutagenic exposure largely occurred in the first decade of life.Colibactin signatures were linked to driver mutations in the APC tumor-suppressor gene (a key early “gatekeeper” event in most CRCs). ID18 accounted for approximately 25% of APC driver indels in colibactin-positive cases; overall, colibactin-related processes contributed meaningfully to early APC alterations (reports cite around 15% of APC drivers in relevant subsets).Higher loads of these signatures occurred in countries with higher CRC incidence rates. Other (mostly unknown-etiology) signatures varied geographically (notably elevated in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Russia, and Thailand), pointing to diverse regional mutagenic exposures.Interpretation and Implications
The genome acts as an “archaeological record.” Early colibactin exposure can introduce mutations (including in APC) in childhood. This provides a decades-long “head start,” so that additional mutations later in life can tip cells into full malignancy at younger ages (e.g., 40 instead of 60+). This offers a plausible molecular contribution to the well-documented rise in early-onset CRC (incidence roughly doubling every decade in many countries among people under 50). It does not claim to be the sole cause—lifestyle, diet, obesity, antibiotics, and other environmental factors remain important—but it supplies direct genomic evidence linking early-life microbiome-derived mutagenesis to the trend.
eurekalert.org
Not everyone colonized by pks+ bacteria develops cancer; colonization rates in healthy adults can be substantial (estimates often in the 20–40% range), and additional host, dietary, or barrier factors likely modulate risk and effects.
Strengths, Limitations, and Open Questions
Strengths: Large international cohort, rigorous mutational-signature analysis, clear age and geographic patterns, and linkage to a known biological mechanism and key driver gene.Limitations: The study demonstrates strong associations, not definitive causation of the population-level incidence rise. It does not detail how or why early colonization occurs more frequently or persists in some individuals/populations. Lifestyle and exposome data were limited. Other mutational processes and risk factors continue to operate.Ongoing questions include the precise routes and timing of acquisition of colibactin-producing strains in childhood, interactions with diet (related work suggests soluble fiber can counteract some oncogenic effects of pks+ E. coli), the role of mucus-barrier integrity, and potential prevention or detection strategies (e.g., stool-based detection of relevant signatures or strains). In short, the study provides compelling genomic evidence that early-life exposure to the bacterial toxin colibactin contributes to mutational processes that accelerate colorectal cancer development, particularly helping explain cases arising at younger ages. It strengthens the broader connection between the gut microbiome and CRC risk while highlighting the need for further research into early-life microbial exposures.

Grok AI on the Gut Microbiome

Discuss gut microbiome health

Gut microbiome health refers to the balanced, diverse community of microorganisms (bacteria, archaea, viruses, fungi, and other microbes) living primarily in the large intestine. This ecosystem plays major roles in digestion, immune regulation, metabolism, barrier integrity, and even brain function via the gut-brain axis.
Core Functions
A well-functioning microbiome:

Breaks down complex carbohydrates and fibers into short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) such as butyrate, acetate, and propionate. Butyrate fuels colonocytes, supports the mucus barrier, and has anti-inflammatory effects.Trains and modulates the immune system (a large portion of immune cells reside in or near the gut).Synthesizes certain vitamins (e.g., vitamin K and some B vitamins) and helps metabolize bile acids, drugs, and dietary compounds.Maintains the intestinal barrier (tight junctions + mucus layer) that prevents bacterial translocation and systemic inflammation.Influences neurotransmitter production and signaling (e.g., serotonin precursors, GABA), contributing to mood and stress responses.Dysbiosis—reduced diversity, loss of beneficial taxa (such as Faecalibacterium, Akkermansia, Bifidobacterium, or Roseburia), or overgrowth of opportunistic species—is associated with inflammatory bowel disease, metabolic syndrome, obesity, allergies, certain autoimmune conditions, and increased colorectal cancer risk in some contexts.
What Does a “Healthy” Microbiome Look Like?
There is no single ideal composition. Healthy microbiomes are typically characterized by:

High taxonomic and functional diversity.Relative stability over time in the absence of major perturbations.Enrichment of fiber-degrading, SCFA-producing bacteria.Intact mucus layer and low levels of chronic low-grade inflammation.Composition varies widely by geography, diet, age, genetics, and lifestyle. Westernized diets tend toward lower diversity compared with traditional high-fiber diets.
Major Influences on Microbiome Health
Diet is the strongest and most modifiable factor. Diets rich in diverse plant fibers, polyphenols, and fermented foods generally support beneficial microbes. Ultra-processed foods, high in emulsifiers (e.g., carboxymethylcellulose/E466 and polysorbate 80/E433), artificial sweeteners, and low in fiber, can thin the mucus layer, alter microbial composition, and promote inflammation in animal models and emerging human data. Excessive red and processed meat, refined sugars, and low overall plant diversity are also linked to less favorable profiles.Antibiotics and other medications can cause rapid, sometimes long-lasting reductions in diversity. Proton-pump inhibitors, NSAIDs, and some antipsychotics also affect the community.Lifestyle factors: Chronic stress, poor sleep, sedentary behavior, smoking, and alcohol excess disrupt the microbiome and barrier function. Early-life exposures (birth mode, breastfeeding, antibiotic use in infancy) shape lifelong patterns.Age and environment: Diversity generally increases through childhood, stabilizes in adulthood, and often declines in older age. Urbanization and reduced microbial exposure (“hygiene hypothesis” extensions) are relevant.
Supporting Gut Microbiome Health – Evidence-Based Approaches

Dietary pattern first: Emphasize a wide variety of plants (aim for 30+ different plant foods per week where feasible), whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, fruits, and vegetables. Resistant starch and fermentable fibers feed beneficial bacteria.Fermented foods: Yogurt with live cultures, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, and similar foods can introduce live microbes and metabolites; evidence for consistent long-term colonization is mixed but short-term benefits on diversity and inflammation markers exist.Prebiotics: Inulin, fructo-oligosaccharides, galacto-oligosaccharides, and other specific fibers selectively stimulate beneficial taxa.Limit ultra-processed foods: Reducing emulsifiers, additives, and refined ingredients helps preserve mucus integrity and microbial balance.Judicious antibiotic use: Only when necessary; consider recovery strategies (fiber-rich diet) afterward.Lifestyle: Regular physical activity, stress management, adequate sleep, and avoiding smoking support overall microbial ecology.Probiotics and synbiotics: Strain-specific effects exist (e.g., certain Lactobacillus or Bifidobacterium strains for particular conditions). They are not universal “fixes” and rarely produce permanent colonization in healthy people. Fecal microbiota transplantation is reserved for specific clinical indications such as recurrent C. difficile infection.Commercial microbiome testing kits often overpromise personalized insights; clinical utility remains limited outside research settings.
Caveats and Open Questions
Associations between microbiome composition and disease are strong, but causation is harder to establish—many findings are correlative. Inter-individual variability is high, so one-size-fits-all recommendations have limits. Research continues on the precise roles of specific taxa, metabolites, the virome and mycobiome, and interactions with host genetics and the immune system. Claims that the microbiome “controls everything” or that simple probiotic supplements reverse chronic disease are frequently overstated. In the context of rising early-onset colorectal cancer, factors that impair the mucus barrier and allow closer contact between bacteria (including colibactin-producing E. coli strains) and the epithelium are under active investigation. Maintaining barrier integrity through diet and avoidance of chronic irritants appears relevant.Overall, the most reliable way to support gut microbiome health is a consistent pattern of diverse, minimally processed, fiber-rich eating combined with healthy lifestyle habits rather than isolated supplements or extreme interventions. Individual responses vary; people with diagnosed gastrointestinal disease should work with clinicians.

Grok AI Elaborates on the Gut Brain Axis

Investigate the gut-brain axis
Thought for 10s

The gut-brain axis is a bidirectional communication network linking the gastrointestinal tract (including its microbiota, enteric nervous system, and immune cells) with the central nervous system. It integrates neural, endocrine, immune, and metabolic signals to influence digestion, metabolism, stress responses, mood, cognition, and behavior.Research over the past two decades has established that gut microbes can modulate brain activity and behavior, while brain signals (via stress, autonomic activity, or hormones) can alter gut motility, permeability, and microbial composition. This axis is now recognized as a major brain–body network that helps integrate environmental and internal cues.
nature.com
Main Communication Pathways
Several overlapping routes operate simultaneously:

Neural pathways: The vagus nerve is a primary conduit (mostly afferent fibers carrying gut sensory information to the brain). The enteric nervous system (“second brain”) and spinal nerves also participate. Enteroendocrine and specialized sensory epithelial cells detect microbial signals and metabolites, then activate local nerves.Endocrine/hormonal pathways: Gut hormones (e.g., GLP-1, PYY, ghrelin) and modulation of the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis influence appetite, stress, and mood. Microbial activity affects cortisol responses and stress reactivity.Immune pathways: Cytokines, microbial components (such as lipopolysaccharide), and immune cell trafficking can promote systemic and neuroinflammation, affecting blood–brain barrier integrity and glial function.Metabolic pathways: Microbial metabolites are central. Short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs: butyrate, propionate, acetate) from fiber fermentation influence neuroinflammation, blood–brain barrier function, histone acetylation, and BDNF expression. Other key molecules include tryptophan metabolites (affecting serotonin and kynurenine pathways), secondary bile acids, and neurotransmitter precursors or analogs (GABA, serotonin, dopamine produced or modulated by certain bacteria).Microbes can also influence local production of serotonin (≈90% of the body’s serotonin is made in the gut) and other signaling molecules.
Microbiome’s Role
A diverse, balanced microbiota supports healthy signaling. Dysbiosis (reduced diversity, loss of beneficial taxa such as SCFA producers, or expansion of pro-inflammatory species) is associated with altered metabolite profiles, increased gut permeability (“leaky gut”), low-grade inflammation, and disrupted signaling to the brain. Animal studies (germ-free or colonized mice) show clear effects on anxiety-like behavior, social behavior, stress responses, and neurodevelopment. Human data are more correlative but increasingly consistent.
Links to Health and Disease
Alterations in the gut–brain axis are implicated in:

Psychiatric conditions: Depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia show patterns of microbial dysbiosis, reduced SCFA levels, kynurenine pathway shifts, and elevated inflammation. Lower butyrate/propionate often correlates with greater symptom severity.Neurodevelopmental conditions: Autism spectrum disorder has been linked to distinctive microbial profiles and metabolite changes in multiple studies.Neurodegenerative diseases: Parkinson’s disease (often with early gut symptoms and α-synuclein pathology that may spread via the vagus), Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and others show microbiome differences and potential contributions via inflammation, barrier dysfunction, and metabolite effects on glia.Disorders of gut–brain interaction: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and functional dyspepsia involve heightened visceral sensitivity, altered motility, and bidirectional signaling disruptions.Other: Appetite regulation, obesity, and responses to stress or trauma.Evidence is strongest from preclinical models; human studies show associations and some interventional signals, but causality remains incompletely proven for most conditions.
Diet, Ultra-Processed Foods, and the Axis
Diet is one of the strongest modulators of the microbiota and therefore of gut–brain signaling. Fiber-rich, diverse plant-based patterns promote SCFA production and beneficial taxa. Ultra-processed foods and certain additives (emulsifiers such as carboxymethylcellulose and polysorbate 80, artificial sweeteners, some colorants) can reduce microbial diversity, thin the mucus barrier, increase permeability, and promote inflammation—changes that may disrupt gut–brain communication. These effects align with broader associations between high UPF intake and poorer mental and cognitive outcomes observed in observational studies.
sciencedirect.com
Therapeutic Approaches
Emerging strategies aim to modulate the axis:

Dietary patterns emphasizing fiber, polyphenols, and fermented foods.Prebiotics, probiotics (“psychobiotics”), and synbiotics (strain-specific effects vary; evidence is promising but heterogeneous).Fecal microbiota transplantation (more established for C. difficile; investigational for other indications).Targeting inflammation, barrier integrity, or specific pathways (e.g., vagus nerve stimulation in some contexts).Lifestyle factors (sleep, exercise, stress reduction) that support both gut and brain health.Large, rigorous randomized trials are still needed for most psychiatric and neurological applications. Personalized approaches based on individual microbiome profiles are an active research direction.
Limitations and Outlook
Much mechanistic insight comes from animal models, which do not fully capture human complexity. Human evidence is growing through multi-omics, imaging, and interventional studies, but confounding (diet, medications, lifestyle) is common, and reproducible biomarkers are limited. The field is moving toward better causal inference, strain-level and functional (metabolite) resolution, and clinical translation. In summary, the gut–brain axis represents a sophisticated, bidirectional system in which the microbiome plays a key regulatory role via neural, immune, endocrine, and metabolic routes. Disruptions are linked to a range of psychiatric, neurological, and gastrointestinal conditions. Supporting a healthy microbiota through diet and lifestyle remains one of the most accessible ways to positively influence this axis, while targeted microbiome therapies continue to develop.

Thanks for your graciousness. I created that comment without fully having read your opener yet & thought it might have overlapped your epic work too much. At least the spoiler was my friend LOL 😉 😉

TradeBait2

What a great service for mankind, Gail. 👍 Thank you.

From practical experience and our personal results I completely agree with everything you have presented. From somebody who could care less what was in the ingredients to someone who now studies them, it has been a huge eye opener. Keto nutrition opened my eyes a few years ago, then I fell away from it with bad habits until restarting permanently early this year.

With docs always saying to eat more fiber including post colonoscopy (one small benign polyp), I followed their advice and was miserable much of the time while I gained weight even with drinking large amounts of water. I ate low fat processed foods and meats a lot including baked potatoes with sugar substitutes. It was all bullshiz.

We now focus on gut health while eating meat and fish with the Keto approach on veggies and fruits. What a difference it has made for both of us.

Valerie Curren

Wonderful & inspiring news! “…with the Keto approach on veggies and fruits” would you mind elaborating on the meaning of this phrase please 🙂

Brave and Free

Right there with you.
About six months after surgery I put on 10-12 lbs, all around my waist.
Normal as your body heals they said. Only problem was they were excess pounds above my normal weight.
Dropped breads totally from my diet, added red meat most days. Dropped the weight off and feeling much healthier. (BP is lower)
The afternoon and evening need to raid the refrigerator is now gone. No more feeling depleted energy wise.
The carnivor approach to eating is definitely working with me.

That’s a lot to (ahem) digest, Gail. Thanks for the deep digs. Hubby & I are slowly moving closer to Keto style eating & considering a closer to Carnivore kind of diet. One major barrier would be the costs. Also Hubby is a bit of a sugar addict. I can’t imagine him going carb free entirely. I have those struggles too.

In your research travels did you run actoss info about how to determine if one’s gut microbiome is functioning properly? I think I saw somewhere something about 4 different gut types & what works great for one type can cause significant challenges for another type. We do fairly well on our current typical diet but Hubby has been having more challenges with stomach issues, acid, or general malaise in his system compared to years ago. Maybe this connects to aging, or diet, or stress (we’ve been under significant stress for more than a year now but especially the last few months). Beef, chicken, pork, fish, & venison (to a lesser degree) are regularly part of our diets at least, fwiw.

Brave and Free

Some good points here, sugar and fat cravings.

Valerie Curren

Thanks Gail. Technically Hubby has Hypoglycemia (J has the exact same symptoms as does our daughter to a lesser extent). He eats fat & or protein to combat it. If he has heavy, simple carbs w/out enough protein/fat he tends to have a rough crash sometime later. I might have missed the post you referenced w/ all the craziness around here 🙂

Valerie Curren

I would think the nutrition from veggies is better raw, so kudos!

Aubergine

If you eat a variety of pro- and prebiotic foods, your gut “type” will take what it needs and eliminate the rest.

Home-fermented veggies pick up bacteria from their environment, which is your house, and so are most likely to contain what it is you need the most.

Valerie Curren

Thank you A, I’ll need to look into that “soon” 🙂 Blessings!

Valerie Curren

Butter & Bacon are the best glycemic index foods there are. I use one or both with baked potatoes quite liberally–yum!

PAVACA

Thank you for the update. IMO, some of the issues that your husband is having can be linked to, and/or be aggravated by, both the aging process and chronic stress.
The gut-brain axis is a complex arena. One area “talks” to the other, constantly. The sympathetic nervous system is also involved (the “fight, flight, or freeze” nervous system.)
Them, there is the aging process. It appears that the body breaks down and utilizes food elements in a slightly different way as the decades pass.
I once read an old proverb about aging: “Eat half as much, walk twice as much, laugh three times as much, love unconditionally.” Whether that is an “old wives’ tale” or not, I don’t know.

Valerie Curren

I love that last advice. Add in don’t sweat the small stuff…it’s all small stuff! TY CV!

THIS is a large part of the data center problem. This is a great article.

“America needs data centers, and right now Silicon Valley is making Americans hate them. The industry does not know how to speak to the American people, and neither do many of the political operatives hired to help.

It is a travesty that American dominance is being stalled because the people leading the charge cannot manage the most basic task in a crisis: tell the truth, listen, and earn trust. These same people warn that China could beat us in the AI race. Yet when the fight became a much simpler communications race here at home, Beijing not only understood the American public better than they did; it ran circles around them.”

EACH DAY WE TAKE UP THE OFFENSIVE WEAPON OF THE WORD OF GOD – THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT – ONE VERSE OPENS THE DOOR TO THE CONTEXT OF THE CHAPTER MESSAGE

Verse of the Day for Wednesday, September 2, 2026

“And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

Exodus 33:14 (KJV)

COMMENTARY FOR EXODUS 33

The Lord refuses to go with Israel. (1-6) The tabernacle of Moses removed without the camp. (7-11) Moses desires to see the glory of God. (12-23)1-6 Those whom God pardons, must be made to know what their sin deserved. “Let them go forward as they are;” this was very expressive of God’s displeasure. Though he promises to make good his covenant with Abraham, in giving them Canaan, yet he denies them the tokens of his presence they had been blessed with. The people mourned for their sin. Of all the bitter fruits and consequences of sin, true penitents most lament, and dread most, God’s departure from them. Canaan itself would be no pleasant land without the Lord’s presence. Those who parted with ornaments to maintain sin, could do no less than lay aside ornaments, in token of sorrow and shame for it.

7-11 Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp. This seems to have been a temporary building, set up for worship, and at which he judged disputes among the people. The people looked after him; they were very desirous to be at peace with God, and concerned to know what would come to pass. The cloudy pillar which had withdrawn from the camp when it was polluted with idolatry, now returned. If our hearts go forth toward God to meet him, he will graciously come to meet us.

12-23 Moses is very earnest with God. Thus, by the intercession of Christ, we are not only saved from ruin, but become entitled to everlasting happiness. Observe here how he pleads. We find grace in God’s sight, if we find grace in our hearts to guide and quicken us in the way of our duty. Moses speaks as one who dreaded the thought of going forward without the Lord’s presence. God’s gracious promises, and mercy towards us, should not only encourage our faith, but also excite our fervency in prayer. Observe how he speeds. See, in a type, Christ’s intercession, which he ever lives to make for all that come to God by him; and that it is not by any thing in those for whom he intercedes. Moses then entreats a sight of God’s glory, and is heard in that also. A full discovery of the glory of God, would overwhelm even Moses himself. Man is mean, and unworthy of it; weak, and could not bear it; guilty, and could not but dread it. The merciful display which is made in Christ Jesus, alone can be borne by us. The Lord granted that which would abundantly satisfy. God’s goodness is his glory; and he will have us to know him by the glory of his mercy, more than by the glory of his majesty. Upon the rock there was a fit place for Moses to view the goodness and glory of God. The rock in Horeb was typical of Christ the Rock; the Rock of refuge, salvation, and strength. Happy are they who stand upon this Rock. The cleft may be an emblem of Christ, as smitten, crucified, wounded, and slain. What follows, denotes the imperfect knowledge of God in the present state, even as revealed in Christ; for this, when compared with the heavenly sight of him. is but like seeing a man that is gone by, whose back only is to be seen. God in Christ, as he is, even the fullest and brightest displays of his glory, grace, and goodness, are reserved to another state.

Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710.

WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

OUR PRAYER

We come to Your Altar on bended knee
In the name of Jesus – we pray to Thee
One of our loved ones is in peak peril
Demons they have him over a barrel
Another test will be taken real soon
Could sink hope or take him over the moon

By the Blood of the Lamb – we are healed
By His sacrifice – our fate – it was sealed
Protect her from all danger hurt or harm
We’re calling all Angels – set the alarm
Warring Angels by the dozens dispatched
Go after those demons – get them detached

Comfort Angels dispersed to quell the fear
Through Faith – we command fear disappear
Healing Angels anoint him with the oils
Cover her completely before he spoils
Relaying Angels with a message from God
Rest in His Arms – prepare to be awed

We take authority over our friend today
By the Power of the Spirit we humbly pray
We unite in our prayer – strengthen her
To guide those in charge of him to concur
Set all instruments so accurate they be
By the Power of the Spirit command them we

Take care in your analysis – through Hope
By your training and insight help him cope
God has given you the means to infer
A possible treatment that will deter
The failure of systems rightly attached
Your expertise surely cannot be matched

Let the Hand of God guide competent hands
To do what must be done – what He commands
As we lift him up to the Heaven on High
We give it all to You – and breathe a sigh
She is in good hands – the best there be
The Angels surround him – a sight to see

We lay our petition at the feet of Your Son
Whose victory over the cross He surely won
We know in control – You must ever be
We pray for a miracle for all to see
God can fix anything – He has the clout
The Power of God is awesome no doubt!

almost a decade ago, a man strangled his 5 children. His lawyer pleaded insanity. The jury deliberated a few hours, found him guilty. He is on death row. Contrast that to the Clancy case.
FTA
Jones initially forced six-year-old Nahtahn to perform hundreds of exercises as punishment before the child collapsed and died. Jones later claimed that he heard voices ordering him to kill the remaining four children because they would be “better off in Heaven.” He strangled Elias and Merah with his hands and used a belt to strangle the two youngest children.

Jones then wrapped the bodies in sheets, loaded them into his Cadillac Escalade, and drove around with them for more than a week while researching how to dismember, dissolve, and dispose of their remains.

He eventually dumped the five children’s bodies in individual garbage bags along a remote dirt road in Alabama.
Jones pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. His attorneys presented evidence of schizophrenia, psychosis, synthetic-marijuana use, and a lengthy family history of mental illness.
The South Carolina jury was not persuaded.
Jurors deliberated for approximately six hours and 15 minutes before finding Jones guilty of five counts of murder. They specifically rejected both “not guilty by reason of insanity” and “guilty but mentally ill.”
During the separate sentencing phase, the jury needed only one hour and 50 minutes to recommend the death penalty.

There is more on the controversy regarding the deaths of two Pennsylvania children from measles. The government of Pennsylvania is using these two deaths as a “big wedge” issue to force the Amish into getting the MMR “vaccine.”

Neither of the two Pennsylvania measles deaths have been confirmed as having direct links to measles itself. One of the deaths occurred due to a ruptured spleen. The other death is still under investigation.

The Hulscher article, linked below, also details the death of a 76-year-old woman after she took the MMR “vaccine.”

https://www.thefocalpoints.com/p/mmr-vaccine-deaths-outnunber
“MMR Vaccine-Linked Deaths Outnumber Measles Deaths in 2026”
Nicolas Hulscher, MPH

And, there is even more:
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is using the deaths of the two children (from the Amish community around Lancaster, PA) as the “wedge” issue to force all Amish people in Pennsylvania to get “vaccinated” — and not only with the MMR “vaccine”, but also with the COVID-19 “vaccine.” Yours Truly reported on the board here about this recently. There are now “horse and buggy vaccine clinics” going around in Amish communities.

From Sayer Ji, who destroys the entire false narrative that is being pushed by Gov. Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania:

The COVID vax is like a vampire that keeps resurrecting. There is tons of information out now about how dangerous and ineffective the shots are, and yet *they* keep pushing them. The fact that they’re trying to force people to get them shows that nothing has changed and that *they* are just as dictatorial as ever, because they have an agenda.

is polygamy legal in the US?

@Real_RobN
And here is:

Hamtramck, Michigan the 12th Sharia Law District represented by domestic terrorist Rashida Tlaib.

“Out of a bedroom comes another pregnant Muslim mom, all pregnant by the same man.
   •   He’s practicing Sharia law in his house
   •   He bought a bunch of houses on the street, has a wife in each one

   •   The wives go down to the welfare office and say their husband’s not around

   •   And the more kids they have, the larger the checks get

   •   And then he’s living like a king at state’s expense. And all the kids playing in the middle of the street are his children.

“He’s practicing Sharia law on his block. They take over several more blocks, and they vote in the school board, and now they have their Sharia in the schools, and then they take over more blocks. They vote in the police department, fire department, and in Hamtramck, Detroit, they vote in the majority of the city council. They have their minarets, their calls to prayer five times a day, no different than Pakistan.”

This is how Hamtramck, Michigan became Pakistan, America’s first Muslim-majority city.

PAVACA

Thank you. Polygamy is illegal in the United States.

BUT — look at THIS interpretation of polygamy, as it relates to Muslims:

https://www.amjaonline.org/fatwa/en/3370/practicing-polygamy-while-its-prohibited-in-us

Bottom line: The laws in the United States that make polygamy illegal are AGAINST SHARIA LAW AND THE PRACTICE OF ISLAM. The answer to the question about this on the linked website appears to say that maybe there’s a way to work around the United States laws by just not formally registering polygamous Muslim “marriages.”

A lot of American women are willing to have bastard children, also.

I won’t get started on dissolution of marriage laws – they are nothing more than probate court while still alive.

A marriage contract should be treated like any other contract. We need to go back to fault divorce at the very least.

it’s not the bastard children part–it’s the scamming the system…claiming the father is no longer around and getting benefits because of it. HE IS AROUND and scamming the system to pay for HIS WIVES AND CHILDREN!

Dr Eric Nepute was sued by the US Gov’t for over $500 BILLION, for helping patients & talking about prevention with Vitamin D, Quercetin & Zinc.

Dr Nepute treated over 11,000 patients during Covid – not one died – yet the Biden Administration went after him because they didn’t want prevention or early treatment.

They wanted people funneled into hospitals, given Remdesivir & put on ventilators.

The truth about the medical scams during the pandemic have come out…yet, Dr Nepute is still deplatformed, demonetized, banned, lost millions in legal fees & had to start his life over…all while Fauci, Gates & others increased their wealth by billions with no persecution.

Dolly related –

Wifey and family know a close nephew of Dolly’s well and he filled them in. He said there are no concerns with any of her projects, businesses, foundation, etc. going forward. He said Dolly was a stickler for detail and has some very qualified leaders and staff in every role. He said they would all be scared stiff that she would come back and work them over if they didn’t get things done the way she wanted. 😂

She had been planning for her death for several years and was at peace with everything. She knew her cancer diagnosis several years back would eventually lead to this point. As a result she simply wanted to complete the planning and tie up all of the loose ends, including legal and financial, to go with having plenty of time to see Carl through to the end of his journey.

That is why that when the time came they all were ready and with her.

The signs are already installed on the renamed Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital and regional clinics. She left the hospital funded now and in the future to do everything they envisioned that will make it into a top operation. The donations to Imagination Library from the public have been staggering. Thank the Lord for her heart and dedication to helping others.

2-Year-Old Found Dead in Illinois Basement; Child’s Mother at Home Attempting to Self-Harm

A 2-year-old child was found unresponsive in a Frankfort, Illinois, basement on Tuesday. The child was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

A 17-year-old called 911, and when police arrived at the home, the child’s mother was attempting self-harm.

It is unclear how the child died. The incident is being investigated as a homicide.

No one has been taken into custody at this time.

Clancy copycat?

Copycat? “That woman murdered her kids, so I think I’ll do it too”? I’ve never heard of such. This seems demonic to me.

In the news report, you can see that it’s a pretty large house in a nice neighborhood, so it’s not a matter of street-living and those influences. Of course, the well-off can have problems with drugs too, both prescription and nonprescription.

Someone needs to protect the children. And that becomes a problem when the Left wants to take kids from good parents on the Right.

Bessent: “CUT THE SNAKE’S HEAD OFF” – But Who is the Real Target?
.

Susan Kokinda analyzes Scott Bessent’s remarks to Larry Kudlow about tracking IRGC assets, focusing on offshore hubs like the British Virgin Islands and the broader British-linked financial architecture behind shell companies, alongside Treasury’s campaign warning 60 entities to clean up, with Hong Kong a major target.

She argues this financial offensive is part of a strategic realignment away from imperial “choke points,” echoed by Doug Burgum’s call to shift global energy focus toward the Western Hemisphere. In the Middle East, she highlights lifted U.S. sanctions on Syria, the formation of the Mecca Joint Defense Alliance (Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan), and Trump’s “Board of Peace,” under which Hamas has agreed to disarm.

She also covers G20 tensions over inviting Russia’s finance minister, Bessent’s meeting with him, and Bessent’s claim of shared U.S.-China goals on Iran.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick Quotes Canadian Officials Who Said They Purposefully Fractured the Trade Deal for Domestic Political Value
September 2, 2026

SD: “A rather remarkable statement from Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick puts the Canadian government on notice. If Lutnick is accurately outlining what took place, there’s no way Trump is going to give them a trade deal.

When he is questioned about the U.S-Canada trade agreement collapse, Secretary Lutnick quotes the Canadian govt officials. “I said to him, are you trying to blow this up? and he said, and I quote, “I’m not allowed to say that.“” Lutnick then encapsulates what that response meant.”

They decided for political reasons, domestically, domestic Canada, they’d rather fight with Donald Trump; even if it’s bad for the economy of Canada, for their political ambition to get a certain election,” Lutnick noted. He continued, “now remember, Quebec has the sovereign party was in the lead, so that’s why they came up with this French nonsense.

You think the American side talked about how people speak in Quebec? We have a deal with France, we have a deal with Italy, we have a deal with Germany, we don’t care about their language; none of that was true.”   WATCH (prompted):

Trump Is Forcing Iran To Turn On The [DS]/[CB], Leverage, Playbook Known, [DS] Event Mitigated – Ep. 3984

Trump is gutting the green new scam, he is making automobiles more affordable by dropping the 50.4 mpg to 34.5mpg. DOJ has expanded the investigation into meat pricing into the supermarkets. Obama tried to make house more expensive, Trump canceled it. Trump let the world know 17 million barrels of oil got through the strait. Trump is working with the oil industry to bring down gas prices. The economic system is being transferred from the [CB] to the Treasury. The [DS] has lost their leverage across the world, they lost Venezuela, terrorist, cartels, gangs, drug running, USAID and their money laundering system, now they are about to lose control of Iran. Trump is forcing Iran to turn on the [DS]/[CB]. The [DS] is using the drone FF to kick off WWIII. This will be combined with a cyber event. Trump and team are now mitigated the event. He is forcing the [DS] down a path that will control.

Happy go lucky

Oh dear, if only my poor, shrunken brain could make it make sense 🙄

1) Beef on hoof has declined in the US as chicken has increased thanks to chicken becoming less expensive for the consumer due to factory farming and production methods. But there is still a LOT of beef consumed in this country, something like 100 pounds per capita per year (someone is eating 200 pounds because they’ve got my share lol).

And there is this:

https://www.nationalbeefwire.com/u-s-beef-imports-by-year

Out of the 24 years analyzed, beef imports have exceeded 3 billion pounds (per year) in 15 years, demonstrating the enduring significance of beef imports in meeting domestic demand and ensuring a diverse range of beef products available to consumers across the country.

2)

Using tests and brain scans on community-dwelling volunteers aged 61 to 87 years without cognitive impairment at enrolment, they measured the size of the participants’ brains. When the volunteers were retested five years later the scientists found those with the lowest levels of vitamin B12 intake were the most likely to have brain shrinkage. Not surprisingly, vegans who eschew all foods of animal origin, suffered the most brain shrinkage. This confirms earlier research showing a link between brain atrophy and low levels of B12.

That is a lie. That was not in the study. Your next link also lies and references the same study. The study measured Vitamin B12 STATUS and brain size. Vitamin B12 is known to be low in the elderly, the participants of the study. Brain shrinkage is also known to be occurring in the elderly.

Results:The decrease in brain volume was greater among those with lower vitamin B12 and holoTC levels and higher plasma tHcy and MMA levels at baseline. Linear regression analysis showed that associations with vitamin B12 and holoTC remained significant after adjustment for age, sex, creatinine, education, initial brain volume, cognitive test scores, systolic blood pressure, ApoE ε4 status, tHcy, and folate. Using the upper (for the vitamins) or lower tertile (for the metabolites) as reference in logistic regression analysis and adjusting for the above covariates, vitamin B12 in the bottom tertile (<308 pmol/L) was associated with increased rate of brain volume loss (odds ratio 6.17, 95% CI 1.25–30.47). The association was similar for low levels of holoTC (<54 pmol/L) (odds ratio 5.99, 95% CI 1.21–29.81) and for low TC saturation. High levels of MMA or tHcy or low levels of folate were not associated with brain volume loss.
Conclusion:Low vitamin B12 status should be further investigated as a modifiable cause of brain atrophy and of likely subsequent cognitive impairment in the elderly.

3) Oh look, other things that may cause low Vitamin B12 (assuming even that the beef contains as much B12 as the beef eater assumes, depends on the soil and feed and health status of the animal):

https://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements-vitamin-b12/art-20363663

  • Aminosalicylic acid (Paser). Taking this medicine used to treat digestive problems might lower how well the body can absorb vitamin B-12.
  • Antiseizure medicines. Taking phenobarbital (Sezaby), phenytoin (Dilantin) or carbamazepine (Tegretrol) to treat seizures might lower how well the body can absorb vitamin B-12.
  • Colchicine (Colcrys, Mitigare, Gloperba). Taking this anti-inflammatory medicine used to prevent and treat gout attacks might lower how well the body can absorb vitamin B-12.
  • Metformin (Glumetza, Fortamet, others). Taking this diabetes medicine might lower the body’s ability to absorb vitamin B-12.
  • Gastric acid inhibitors. Taking omeprazole (Prilosec), lansoprazole (Prevacid) or other stomach acid-reducing medicine might lower the body’s ability to absorb vitamin B-12.
  • Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) supplements. Taking vitamin B-12 with vitamin C might lower the available amount of vitamin B-12 in the body.
  • Bile acid sequestrants (cholestyramine). Taking bile acid sequestrants may interfere with B-12 absorption. A healthcare professional might suggest taking vitamin B-12 supplements to avoid the risk of low vitamin B-12 levels

4) Does the brain need beef? Like, there’s soooo much fossil evidence that our big brains developed from meat eating alone, if you buy into evolution, which some people do believe that it’s not speculative at all.

The human brain represents a mere 2% of total body mass, yet it demands a staggering 20% of the body’s daily Glucose and oxygen. This metabolic greed stems from its role as an “always-on” biological processor that never enters a true standby mode.

The primary fuel for this relentless activity is Glucose, which the brain metabolizes to produce ATP. This molecular currency powers the biological pumps necessary for cellular survival and neuronal communication across the entire nervous system.

Unlike other tissues that can switch to alternative fuel sources during periods of fasting, the brain is almost entirely dependent on a steady blood sugar supply. Any interruption in this fuel line results in immediate cognitive decline and, eventually, permanent cellular damage.

Glucose is a product of carbohydrates. Plants, right? How much glucose does meat have?

5) Yes, William the Conqueror (conqueror being key) codified forest protein off limits to the conquered. But that article assumes the peasants had been allowed to hunt the forests by their previous masters, and they had not. The Normans codified an even stricter feudal system as punishment and many, due to taxes, lost access to the sheep and farm land which had barely sustained them. Yes, people living in starvation mode with lack of adequate housing and sanitation and food of all kinds will not grow to full height.

6) Last point to make about the correlation of brain size versus intelligence level if we are determined to believe in it:

Men just have to be more intelligent than women 🤣 Men have larger brains, in both volume and weight, than women.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brain_size

Average adult male brain weight is 1,345 grams (47.4 oz), while an adult female has an average brain weight of 1,222 grams (43.1 oz).

Oh wait, I guess everyone gets vegetarian and vegan at age 40:

Brain volume peaks at the teenage years,[34] and after the age of 40 it begins declining at 5% per decade, speeding up around 70

One out of two Americans are going to get cancer if the current rates hold. I think we are all grasping at straws. I am not vegetarian now, but I have been when I was poor and I didn’t want to eat crap food. I could afford organic fruits, vegetables, legumes, and grains. I could even grow it in the backyard. But I couldn’t afford organic meat. My health and cognition did not suffer. I can afford it now, but I treat it like medicine, I eat for what it might do for me and only a bit a day. I know people who have gone keto and carnivore, and they say they feel sooo much better. Well is it because they’re eating pounds of meat a day or because they’ve made themselves insulin resistant and now they’ve cut out all the crap food they were eating? I wish everyone the best and to figure out what works for them.

Linda

Agreed. We each have our own health issues (to say nothing of financial issues) we have to address that in many ways determine what is best for us to eat. I have hemochromatosis (iron overload) so going Carnivore would probably kill me. I eat very little beef as a consequence because it has a lot of iron. I stick mostly with poultry and fish. And I feel very healthy for the most part.

Valerie Curren
