This is also what makes Alaska the natural home for something I have waited decades to see. I care immensely about the health of the earth, and after looking at every alternative energy option, I long ago concluded “green nuclear power” was the most viable one we had, then watched the promising designs go nowhere. The most promising is thorium: there is 3–4 times as much of it in the earth as uranium¹ (and since it occurs alongside the rare earths America is now scrambling to secure, we already extract it and then throw it away as radioactive waste), all of it can be used as fuel (rather than the 0.72% of uranium that can, which leaves behind mountains of depleted waste), the molten-salt designs it is paired with have no solid core to melt (if they overheat, the salt expands, the reaction slows, and the fuel drains into a tank without pumps), they produce far less long-lived waste, and they greatly reduce the risk of weapons proliferation, since no enrichment plants are needed.
This raises the obvious question of why it was never adopted. Simply put, the entire American nuclear complex was built as a weapons program with a civilian branch attached, and uranium was the fuel that made weapons. Oak Ridge demonstrated a working molten salt reactor in the 1960s, but in the early 1970s the Atomic Energy Commission committed the country to a plutonium breeder instead, its director Alvin Weinberg was pushed out after eighteen years for continuing to argue his reactor was the safer path, and the program was cancelled in 1973.¹,² Thorium’s low proliferation risk, now its great selling point, at the time simply meant it did not offer what the nuclear establishment wanted. After that, the industry became large enough to keep competitors from getting off the ground (mirroring what I have watched happen with countless forgotten medical technologies).
The result is that the technology now requires a supply chain that does not exist, so two things are needed: a relaxing of regulatory restrictions (which began in May 2025, when Trump signed executive orders setting a goal of quadrupling nuclear capacity by 2050 and ordering the NRC to decide new reactor applications within 18 months)¹ and a very large investment, which is now possible for the first time, as an industry has emerged that needs enormous amounts of power and is willing to pay almost anything for it. The published models place thorium power among the cheapest sources of electricity ($20–55 per megawatt hour),¹,² a fraction of what new conventional nuclear plants cost ($175–255).¹
Note: the money is already moving. The major technology companies have contracted for roughly ten gigawatts of nuclear capacity in two years,¹ and Microsoft signed a twenty-year deal to restart the Three Mile Island reactor that sat beside the one which partially melted down in 1979 (Unit 1, which closed in 2019 for economic reasons), at a price analysts estimate at roughly $110–115 per megawatt hour,¹well above the projected cost of thorium power.
The timing matters because of how long every step takes. A serious American program could have a molten salt test reactor running by the end of this decade and first commercial power in the mid-2030s, so a decision now decides the second and third waves of data centers. China already has a molten salt reactor running and a public ladder toward commercial units by 2040,¹ so if America waits until those are built to begin, it will be buying the technology rather than fielding it. A campus in Alaska that starts on stranded gas can then switch to a microreactor, then a small modular reactor, then a thorium plant, without ever raising anyone’s utility bill, and the fiber and rail built to support it will remain useful regardless of whether the AI boom lives up to its hype.

I think that it’s really critical for people to put this in the context of the battle between two systems. I want to focus people a little bit on something which I’m sure flew under most people’s radar screen, except for the ones who watched my show the other day, [It] is what Scott Bessent said to the International Monetary Fund… Because when you look at what Bessent did at the International Monetary Fund meeting, every leftist in the world should honestly be cheering this. But they’re not. What he did is completely challenge the fundamental premises that have run the world financial structure going back to 1971 and which has allowed the global financier elite to loot nations, destroy nations, [and] prevent third-world countries from developing. [To] gut advanced sector nations like ours by eliminating the middle class and the working class, creating what the Democrats hope is a perpetual class of poor people. [People] that they can throw some crumbs to and so on while Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren have hundreds of millions of dollars…
So, what are the three things that Bessent challenged? First of all, he challenged the core principle of the IMF, which is the way you get out of debt is you cut the budget. And Bessent stood his ground in direct opposition to the head of the IMF… Bessent said, “No, it is growth that is going to solve our problems, and everything we are doing is unleashing that kind of growth.” Second, he had a very subtle reference, but it was definitely there, to the problem of deregulated currencies, floating exchange rates. and said, “This has be addressed in terms of creating perpetual imbalances.
That has been one of the key weapons that the global bankers have used, especially to keep the third world backward. They control currency prices through speculation because we took the dollar off the gold reserve standard. They control commodity prices through the City of London. And the net result of that has been the perpetual unneeded backwardness of many developing sector nations.
Another tool in the bankers’ toolkit, in the globalists’ toolkit, has been the green agenda and being anti-nuclear. And Bessent took that on directly. He said, “Cut it out. Stop making your decisions from hostility to oil and gas.” But even more important, he pledged the the United States to start putting money into a nuclear development fund for the third world. You know how many nuclear loans the World Bank has made since 1959? One, and that was to Italy.
That’s it. But plenty of solar panels, plenty of windmills, plenty of pails so that people can carry water 5 miles from where they are, and so on. So, this was a direct challenge to the underlying premises of this globalist financier elite at that level.
Obviously this administration is doing the same thing domestically because it’s been a lot easier to liberate ourselves than it is to liberate the rest of the world where we’re not the only sheriff in town, although we’re an important one. What the president has done is thrown out the green mandates, challenged the traditional orthodox Republican position that the only way you can get out of the deficit and debt crisis is by cutting. And making very clear, “No, we are going to grow your way out.” And third, by actually unleashing the productive power and base of the United States.
So, on both fronts, what you have is this administration internationally and domestically… is the biggest challenge to the control of the British Imperial financial elite system — it’s generic name is globalization. You know, we see the World Economic Forum, we have the modern names like George Soros and Klaus Schwab and all the rest of them, but this is simply the British Imperial system that we’ve been in a fight [with]. The Ukraine conflict, which Barbara described, has been one of the key strategic cornerstones of that. Because… to challenge this globalist financier system, you need the other major superpowers on your side. You need Russia, you need China, you need India, you need Japan. Those are pretty much the big ones. And what the president is doing with his team is creating the conditions where these nations, as sovereign nations, can join United States in preliminarily solving some of these immediate problems, like the wars, preliminarily begin uncorking a certain level of development, but I think ultimately what this administration intends is an entirely new international financial system. So, you know, I think it’s important to keep that in mind as we go into the final 10-day countdown for the midterms.

I was thinking about this the other day. Every time we bring up this thing about nuclear power… I just think back to the story of Oak Ridge and thorium molten salt and how that was destroyed. I don’t know how that got done under the Kennedy. It was I think done under Kennedy… but they were beginning the process, right? Thorium molten salt ends all of this nonsense because then we don’t have the uranium 233 cycle, doesn’t produce any plutonium. It just produces a surfeit of neutrons and a lot of power and no nuclear waste.
And there’s enough thorium in the seawater that you can ream it up off the Florida coastline and then ship it over to Crystal River… I’ve watched a lot of and talked to a lot of people who were involved in this. That research was not only buried, it was meant to be destroyed completely and it got saved at the last moment. It’s like a spice. It’s like one of these stories that if you were to listen.. There’s a great documentary out there about this. A three and a half or four hour documentary about it and you listen to the story that’s been told about how this information got saved, right? You’re like, nah, that can’t possibly happen that way, but it did because it was the perfect intersection of government perfidy and government incompetence.
So, they just shut the program down and they mothballed it all and then no one was allowed to deal with it and and they were getting around to destroying all the research, all the notebooks and all of this and all of it, but they never got around to it because someone got fired and it wound up in a room somewhere. Then somebody found it all and now the Russians have a pilot plant, the Chinese have a pilot plant, other people [India –GC] are working on it and it’s 20 still 20 years out. We still have a lot of work to do, but imagine if we hadn’t lost those 60 years of metallurgy and and all the chemistry that was necessary to develop the right fluids and the metallurgy in order to create the containment vessels and everything.
As a chemist I know it’s a very aggressive environment. So, that’s another way of saying highly corrosive and highly unstable. And so, if you want to build a 50 year duty cycle reactor system that can, run steady state for 50 years, there’s still a lot of basic materials work that has to be done in order to get us to that point and to scale it up to a reasonable level. But there’s so many angles on this. And they know that once energy is free at that level, and in fact free, they don’t have a choke point anymore.

If you can reprocess the fuel, you don’t have the waste problem. And we lost because what you had was an alliance between the environmentalist movement and the right-wing budget cutters. That’s what killed the Clinch River breeder reactor. I could write an entire article on the bio-fuel scam and WHO benefits. Instead a few points. Fruits and veggies do not get USDA subsidies grains do. That means feed lot cows are subsidized by US tax payers making feed lots cheaper than grass. Many grains are GMO so the seed has to be bought each season, as well as the fertilizer & insecticides. Again ALL is tax payers funding Big Ag with the farmer as the conduit.

Judith Curry’s remarks, as usual, are dead on the money. Here’s an almost perfectly analogous problem: CNN recently completely reversed its editorial policy and now calls for the legalization of Marijuana. Sanjay Gupta, its “resident physician editorialist”, who had previously somewhat vigorously led this opposition from the scientific point of view completely reversed his own position, and explained why in considerable detail both in text and in online video.
Historically, marijuana was both legal and considered to be a useful medicine all the way up through the beginning of the twentieth century. At that point, William Randolph Hearst had invested heavily in pine forests in Mexico, intending to sell them to his own newspapers to make newsprint. The Dupont family were discovering petrochemicals including plastic and oil-derived pharmaceuticals. A machine was invented that was the equivalent of a “cotton gin” for hemp — it mechanically stripped down the hemp plant and turned it into useful fiber, oil, and vegetable waste that could be used as an animal fodder (yes, we can imagine some very happy cows, can’t we?:-). One of many uses for the now inexpensive hemp fiber was to make equally inexpensive newsprint paper that was clearly superior in quality and cost to wood pulp paper. Another was that the oils and fiber could be used to synthesize various chemical products. Both Dupont and Hearst were suddenly hundreds of millions of dollars at risk.
They turned to Harry Anslinger, who happened to be Hearst’s brother in law. Anslinger was a suddenly idle ex-prohibitionist working for the FBI, and he created a propaganda campaign that portrayed hemp as literally maddening those that actually smoked it, leading them to commit acts of rape and robbery and moral turpitude. At the same time, political revolutions in Mexico (funded and fought by a private army belonging to Hearst) and a negative portrayal of blacks and mexicans as common users of hemp for recreation purposes added a useful racist hook. Between these, congress outlawed hemp.
So matters remained until the Viet Nam war and the 1960s and early 70s. As part of the quiet “revolution” against what many perceived as a military-industrial complex with a life of its own that was fighting a series of expensive and pointless wars, pot had become “the” recreational drug of choice among young hippies and freaks as well as the military draftees who fought the war. Its use was so prevalent that Texas dropped the question about cannabis use from its entrance exam to police academy, because “asking a vet of they had ever smoked pot was like asking them if they smoked Camels”. Suddenly a large fraction of an entire generation of U.S. citizens had smoked pot and discovered that no, it does not turn you into a crazed rapist, and usually does not make you insane unless you are most of the way there on your own already. They also discovered that it is neither physically addictive nor dangerous in the sense that it is literally impossible to overdose on marijuana — it is literally one of the safest compounds we know of, with no meaningful fatal dose.
However, Ronald Reagan took office in the 80’s, an immediately declared a “War on Drugs”. Marijuana was reclassified as a schedule 1 narcotic by the federal government, trumping communities that had already begun to experiment with decriminalization or even legalization. This once again gave law enforcement agencies lots of useful work (helpful if you are trying to build a police state), gave cops everywhere the ability to selectively enforce drug laws and thereby control the populace, and caused us to rather suddenly need to build enormous numbers of prisons because it rapidly turned out that by making marijuana trafficking a felony and putting even mere users in jail (just like heroin, cocaine, and actually dangerous drugs) somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 of all prison sentences were being handed down for low grade drug offenses. Our expenditure on controlling pot went from next to nothing to tens of billions of dollars a year. Obviously, many profited from this, including (as usual) the money launderers and organized criminals that made fortunes providing marijuana on the black market, and the politicians and bankers that provided well-paid-for top cover.
And now to the interesting bit (although I think all of the above is interesting:-). One of the reasons given for making marijuana a schedule 1 felony class drug was that we didn’t know about the harm it might cause, and there was no known medical benefit. Yes, it had been used as a medicine for centuries, the founding fathers literally “mandated” the growing of hemp on American farms because it was so useful a plant both industrially and medicinally, but we had entered the era of double blind placebo controlled drug trials, and there were now enormous pharmaceutical companies whose billion-dollar products were at risk, dwarfing even the Duponts’ complaint back in the 30’s. Its risks were similarly unstudied.
A period of research then ensued. If you wanted to study pot, you had to both get funded and get the experimental marijuana from a single, small farm in Mississippi that grew “legal” pot for this purpose. The government itself was in complete control, in other words of what research got conducted, because even if you could find outside funding, you couldn’t get legal pot to do the research with without approval.
Gupta initially opposed marijuana legalization because a review of the medical literature showed him that 96% of all published articles found some sort of negative effect of marijuana, and almost no articles showed a benefit, especially compared to existing approved medications. However, a couple of anecdotal cases coming out of the states that had legalized medicinal marijuana in SPITE of the federal governments laws caused him to go back and reexamine the funding model. In retrospect it shouldn’t have been surprising, but he learned that 96% of all funded research was to look for negative effects of marijuana, and that to get funded and permission to get government grown pot was so difficult that there simply weren’t all that many papers in the first place. In well over thirty years of intensive examination, all of the examination was literally preselected to find problems, almost none to find benefits, and one had to walk on water and push much paper to do either one (and relatively few scientists had bothered).
That caused him to examine the body of emerging, still anecdotal, evidence from the states that had legalized medical marijuana. They showed that — again unsurprisingly — marijuana is a rich pharmacopeia with multiple legitimate medical uses that could survived double blind placebo controlled investigation, while at the same time having minimal side effects and no known lethal dose. Perhaps he came to realize that its negative effects might, conceivably, have been a bit exaggerated or might arise from confounding uncontrolled elements. Confirmation bias is, after all, the bete noir of science.
This situation almost perfectly matches the evolution of “climate science”. Nobody cared about it for decades, but suddenly a group of individuals emerged that all benefited from the demonization of carbon. This included environmental groups, that hated civilization itself and the burning of anything (as long, of course, as their own lifestyle was preserved), energy producers that saw in this the opportunity to triple or quadruple their profits by creating artificial scarcity of a plentiful resource, politicians that saw in this the opportunity to raise taxes, get elected on a world-saving “issue”, and perhaps line their own pockets along the way, and a United Nations that saw an opportunity to transform it into a way to tax the rich nations and transfer money to developing nations (while again lining various pockets along the way). The role of Anslinger was admirably met by one James Hansen, a True Believer who never stinted and does not stint today in exaggerating the data and claims of disaster (five meter sea level rise! temperatures like that on Venus!). And suddenly, quite literally all funded research was on how burning carbon was bad for the climate.
Even completely ethical scientists have to eat, and if the only way they can eat is to get funded, and the only way they can get funded is to submit proposals that seek to prove that CO_2 is bad, guess what they will propose to study? And if they want to get funded AGAIN, guess what they will find? Climate science has been effectively corrupted beyond any hope of objectivity.
On the good side of things, scientists are actually usually pretty ethical. Also, in the end data talks, bullshit walks. The hypothesis of CAGW or CACC could, in fact, be true (across a wide spectrum of the meaning of “true”, in fact). However, recent data is not in good correspondence with the theories that have predicted it, and many good scientists are in the process of reassessing their conclusions. As is the almost simultaneous case with regard to marijuana, the confounding evidence is starting to overwhelm to narrowly funded and directed arguments to date. Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the U.S. and lung cancer the leading killer among cancers. You’d think it would have been very big news when UCLA medical school professor Donald Tashkin revealed that components of marijuana smoke -although they damage cells in respiratory tissue- somehow prevent them from becoming malignant. In other words, something in marijuana exerts an anti-cancer effect.
Tashkin has special credibility. He was the lead investigator on studies dating back to the 1970s that identified the components in marijuana smoke that are toxic. It was Tashkin et al who published photomicrographs showing that marijuana smoke damages cells lining the upper airways. It was the Tashkin lab reporting that benzpyrene -a component of tobacco smoke that plays a role in most lung cancers- is especially prevalent in marijuana smoke. It was Tashkin’s data documenting that marijuana smokers are more likely than non-smokers to cough, wheeze, and produce sputum.

Pergamon Press was an Oxford-based publishing house, founded by Paul Rosbaud and Robert Maxwell, that published scientific and medical books and journals. Originally called Butterworth-Springer, it is now an imprint of Elsevier.
History
The core company, Butterworth-Springer, started in 1948 to bring the “Springer know-how and techniques of aggressive publishing in science”[1] to Britain. Paul Rosbaud was the man with the knowledge. In surveysasking about the behaviour of colleagues, admission rates were14.12%< (N = 12, 95% CI: 9.91–19.72)for falsification, and up to 72% for other questionable research practices.Meta-regression showed that self reports surveys, surveys using the words “falsification” or “fabrication”, and mailed surveys yielded lower percentages of misconduct. When these factors were controlled for,misconduct was reported more frequently by medical/pharmacological researchers than others.
Considering that these surveys ask sensitive questions and have other limitations, it appears likely that this is a conservative estimate of the true prevalence of scientific misconduct.
As we said in December, an e-patient essential is sorting out what writings to trust, whether we find them online or in print. There’s an important update on this in the New York Timestoday, an interviewwith Marcia Angell MD, an author we’ve quoted before, and her husband Dr. Arnold Relman – both long-time editors of one of the world’s top journals, the New England Journal of Medicine. This is no small issue in the life of an engaged patient. e-Patients who bring googled articles to their office visits are often lambasted or subjected to eye-rolls by clinicians who say that we should only trust academic medical journals. But can we trust them??

Every year, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspects several hundred clinical sites performing biomedical research on human participants and occasionally finds evidence of substantial departures from good clinical practice and research misconduct. However, the FDA has no systematic method of communicating these findings to the scientific community, leaving open the possibility that research misconduct detected by a government agency goes unremarked in the peer-reviewed literature….
Objectives
To identify published clinical trials in which an FDA inspection found significant evidence of objectionable conditions or practices, to describe violations, and to determine whether the violations are mentioned in the peer-reviewed literature.
Design and Setting
Cross-sectional analysis of publicly available documents, dated from January 1, 1998, to September 30, 2013, describing FDA inspections of clinical trial sites in which significant evidence of objectionable conditions or practices was found.
Results:Fifty-seven published clinical trials were identified for which an FDA inspection of a trial site had found significant evidence of 1 or more of the following problems:
falsification or submission of false information, 22 trials (39%);
problems with adverse events reporting, 14 trials (25%);
protocol violations, 42 trials (74%);
inadequate or inaccurate recordkeeping, 35 trials (61%);
failure to protect the safety of patients and/or issues with oversight or informed consent, 30 trials (53%);
and violations not otherwise categorized, 20 trials (35%).
Only 3 of the 78 publications (4%) that resulted from trials in which the FDA found significant violations mentioned the objectionable conditions or practices found during the inspection. No corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, or other comments acknowledging the key issues identified by the inspection were subsequently published.
Conclusions and Relevance
When the FDA finds significant departures from good clinical practice, those findings are seldom reflected in the peer-reviewed literature, even when there is evidence of data fabrication or other forms of research misconduct.
A decade ago, I wrote in another blog “Blogs are now performing the important tasks of scrutinizing papers and conclusions often finding gross mistakes.” That is probably one of the reasons we were shut up during Covid.
Much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue. Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid exploratory analyses, and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for pursuing fashionable trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darkness. As one participant put it, “poor methods get results”. The Academy of Medical Sciences, Medical Research Council, and Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council have now put their reputational weight behind an investigation into these questionable research practices. The apparent endemicity [i.e. pervasiveness within the scientific culture] of bad research behaviour is alarming. In their quest for telling a compelling story, scientists too often sculpt data to fit their preferred theory of the world. Or they retrofit hypotheses to fit their data. Journal editors deserve their fair share of criticism too. We aid and abet the worst behaviours. Our acquiescence to the impact factor fuels an unhealthy competition to win a place in a select few journals. Our love of “significance” pollutes the literature with many a statistical fairy-tale….

I made a one liner explanation to each part in this comment for Scott. Scott responded but I did not see the responses until the next day. Hence this article since my response is a bit long.

Red meat has a scheduling problem. American beef consumption peaked in 1976 and has fallen by roughly a third since. The generation now being diagnosed at thirty-five ate less of it than any generation of the last century, while early-onset colorectal cancer doubled in two decades. A suspect who has been leaving town for fifty years, still in the dock, still not asked to explain himself.
Translation: It can not be beef because beef consumption has dropped since 1976.
Fibre did worse. They ran it properly, twice, in two countries, thousands of people, years of wheat bran and extra fruit and veg, watching for polyps. The polyps came back at exactly the same rate as in the people eating none of it. Nobody withdrew the advice. Nobody ever does.
Translation: Fibre makes ZERO difference and they have the studies to prove it.
Then last year a team sequenced 981 tumours from eleven countries. Certain E. coli strains make
a toxin called colibactin, which snaps both strands of DNA and leaves a signature so distinctive you can read it off a tumour decades later. In patients diagnosed under forty it turns up 3.3 times more often than in patients over seventy.
Translation: They found the culprit, a toxin called colibactin that snaps strands of DNA.
And they could date it. The mutations were laid down in the first ten years of life. So the damage that produces a tumour at thirty-five was done before that person was old enough to buy anything, choose anything or cook anything. Whatever they had for lunch last Tuesday is not in the frame and never was. Colibactin is also pathetically short lived. It only works on contact. The bacterium has to be physically pressed against the colon lining, and it cannot get there, because the inner mucus layer is a sterile exclusion zone that holds the entire microbiome at arm’s length. Something has to take that barrier down.
Translation: The toxin did it’s dirty work in the 1st ten years of life. However there is a mucus lining that SHOULD prevent the toxin from getting next to the colon lining.
Carboxymethylcellulose. Polysorbate 80. Industrial detergents, filed under emulsifiers, because emulsifier sounds like something a chef does. They are in the ice cream, the bread, the sauces, the protein bars and most of what gets handed to a child. Feed carboxymethylcellulose to healthy adults under supervision and you can watch their bacteria move in and take up residence against the wall.
The toxin is thousands of years old. The barrier it has to get through is the thing that changed, it is on the label, and everybody in this argument is busy discussing a steak.
Translation: It is Polysorbate 80, a detergent/emulsifier, a common ingredient in processed food that lets the toxin get pass the mucus barrier and cause cancer.
AND it is NOT being banned from food.

The media and blogosphere are abuzz with the latest report from the WHO, which classified cured and processed meats as carcinogens and put them in the same category as asbestos, alcohol, arsenic, and tobacco. But what does the research really tell us about the link between red meat and cancer?
Well, here we go again. Each year, like clockwork, the conventional medical establishment mounts an attack against red meat.
For decades, we were told not to eat it because of the cholesterol and saturated fat it contains. When that argument became less convincing, a new one was offered: we shouldn’t eat red meat because it increases production of a compound called TMAO, which causes heart attacks.
Now we’re being told not to eat red meat—and especially cured and processed meat—because it will give us cancer. In a recent report, the World Health Organization (WHO) ranked bacon, sausage, and other cured and processed meats as “group 1 carcinogens,” which puts them in the same category as tobacco, asbestos, alcohol, and arsenic. It also placed fresh red meat in the “group 2A” category, which suggests that it is “probably carcinogenic” to humans.
Of course, this isn’t a new argument; it’s been around for at least 40 years. As far back as 1975, scientists speculated that the consumption of animal products was linked to cancer. (1)

Using tests and brain scans on community-dwelling volunteers aged 61 to 87 years without cognitive impairment at enrolment, they measured the size of the participants’ brains. When the volunteers were retested five years later the scientists found those with the lowest levels of vitamin B12 intake were the most likely to have brain shrinkage. Not surprisingly, vegans who eschew all foods of animal origin, suffered the most brain shrinkage. This confirms earlier research showing a link between brain atrophy and low levels of B12.
Vegans are the most likely to be deficient because the best sources of the vitamin are meat, particularly liver, milk and fish.
Confirmation of this was provided the following year by another study by the Oxford Project to Investigate Memory and Ageing, the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics, University of Oxford, UK.[19] Noting that vitamin B-12 deficiency is often associated with cognitive deficits, they reviewed evidence that cognition in the elderly may also be adversely affected at concentrations of vitamin B-12 above the traditional cutoffs for deficiency. Their suggestion is that the elderly in particular should be encouraged to maintain a good, rather than just an adequate, vitamin B-12 status by dietary means.
Conclusion
It is obvious that we need to be eating more, not less, meat and animal-sourced foods.
If vegetarians — and vegans in particular — berate you for ‘murdering’ and eating animals, please be kind to them. They are almost certainly suffering from self-inflicted brain atrophy, and have little recognition of both the damage they are doing to themselves and the harm that are doing to others who follow their advice.

Well, this explains a lot. (Just kidding.) There is a theory that eating meat is one reason why human beings developed our bigger brains. Now, credence might be added to that hypothesis with a study that shows non meat eating might actually shrink the brain.
Scientists have discovered that going veggie could be bad for your brain-with those on a meat-free diet six times more likely to suffer brain shrinkage.
Vegans and vegetarians are the most likely to be deficient because the best sources of the vitamin are meat, particularly liver, milk and fish. Vitamin B12 deficiency can also cause anaemia and inflammation of the nervous system. Yeast extracts are one of the few vegetarian foods which provide good levels of the vitamin.
The link was discovered by Oxford University scientists who used memory tests, physical checks and brain scans to examine 107 people between the ages of 61 and 87.
When the volunteers were retested five years later the medics found those with the lowest levels of vitamin B12 were also the most likely to have brain shrinkage. It confirms earlier research showing a link between brain atrophy and low levels of B12.

Birthweights in the US are falling but no one knows why, according to a study of 36.8 million infants born between 1990 and 2005.
A 52-gram drop in the weight of full-term singletons – from an average of 3.441 to 3.389 kilograms – has left Emily Oken’s team at Harvard Medical School scratching their heads. It can’t be accounted for by an increase in caesarean sections or induced labours, which shorten gestation. What’s more, women in the US now smoke less and gain more weight during pregnancy, which should make babies heavier. Oken suggests that unmeasured factors, such as diet or exercise, could explain why babies are being born lighter.
“For your average baby, 50 grams probably makes no difference at all,” she stresses. But those born substantially lighter could be at increased risk of heart disease and diabetes later in life.
Red meat is long established as an important dietary source of protein and essential nutrients including iron, zinc and vitamin B12, yet recent reports that its consumption may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and colon cancer have led to a negative perception of the role of red meat in health. The aim of this paper is to review existing literature for both the risks and benefits of red meat consumption, focusing on case–control and prospective studies. Despite many studies reporting an association between red meat and the risk of CVD and colon cancer, several methodological limitations and inconsistencies were identified which may impact on the validity of their findings.
Overall, there is no strong evidence to support the recent conclusion from the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) report that red meat has a convincing role to play in colon cancer. [Well Surprise, Surprise! –GC]
A substantial amount of evidence supports the role of lean red meat as a positive moderator of lipid profiles with recent studies identifying it as a dietary source of the anti-inflammatory long chain (LC) n−3 PUFAs and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). In conclusion, moderate consumption of lean red meat as part of a balanced diet is unlikely to increase risk for CVD or colon cancer, but may positively influence nutrient intakes and fatty acid profiles, thereby impacting positively on long-term health.
In 1968, Dobbing (1) suggested that there were vulnerable periods of neurological development that coincided with times of maximal brain growth. These periods begin during foetal development at around the 25th week of gestation and continue for the first two years of postnatal life. Nutrient deficiencies occurring during these vulnerable periods may well have an impact upon brain growth and, hence, neurological and psychomotor development. (1)
These nutrient deficits have subsequently been shown to result in more functional deficiencies rather than physical abnormalities. Not only is optimal nutrition essential for achieving optimal physical and psychosocial development, but it also appears to have significant disease implications for later in adult life. Barker and his epidemiology group in the UK proposed that not only intrauterine malnutrition, but also poor weight gain in the first year of life, was associated with an increased incidence of cardiovascular disease (particularly in adults aged >50 years), hypertension and glucose intolerance during adulthood. It cannot be lobbied. It does not receive research grants from the soy industry. It has never appeared on a podcast to promote its new book about plant-based longevity. Colonel Towner enlisted in the Air Force in 1979 right out of high school. She is mechanically inclined so work on airplanes. She was in for 8 yrs as an enlisted grunt, after 6 yrs she got a military scholarship and went to Indiana Univ. During that time she had a job with Evergreen airlines who had a contract with UPS. She was the only female mechanic but the guys found out a small female fits in spaces they do not.
When she finished her degree, the Air Force made her a personnel officer. (She was hoping for maintenance officer.) She was assigned to LA air force base in late 80s, during Star Wars. Nastar now GPS had just been declassified for civilian use. Put up a bunch of satellites. Re-asigned to Italy, Andrews AFB where Air Force 1 is. Whenever the pentagon went down to CENTCOM, US central Command, they used Andrews AFB. She was there over 9-11.
She got her masters at Air War college…. She was in for 30 yrs then retired. The she started watching Glen Beck and “realized everything I thought was true, was not true.”

I already had 2-300 books… Because my entire reason for enlisting was to get a college degree, at the end I had 6 degrees because I just like learning and they were free thanks to the tax payer. Operation Gladio is an umbrella term. There are sub-elements of it. One of which is Operation Condor. Operation Condor was the Gladio effort dedicated strictly to South America.
Compass Rose was the initial effort of Operation Gladio that was launched inside of Europe.They were also referred to as stay behind units.
A Stay behind unit was a group of 15 to 20 civilians. As originally created in Germany by Nazis. They were called Werewolf Units. They carried that term from 1942 to the end of the war. They were civilians by day and killers by night. You are going to hear Werewolf a whole lot more in the future including Neo-Nazis in the USA.
The training squad in Ukraine from the US Air Force, right now training pilots, is called Grey Wolves, which is the operator Gladio from Turkey. The Neo-nazis in the USA today call themselves Werewolves because they are configured just like stay behind units.
In addition to having the personnel, and they were all trained, there are some designated training sites. I watched a 2 hr documentary of an investigate journalist who went thru Holland trying to find these stay behind unit stashes. He spent 4 years looking. They found tons of them. I even asked the guy who brought it to my attention if he could translate so I could put subtitles on it. I posted it on my Twitter Acct…. In Italy alone there were over 600 of these stashes. Over 600 stay behind units with 15 to 20 people in each one. That is how massive it is.
It is also referred to as ‘Strategy of Tension’ It is important to understand this concept. The world we live in today operates on a strategy of tension. Most people do not know enough history to realize that if you look at a world map of 1910 and you look at a world map of 1950 there are a lot of ‘made-up countries’ that did not exist in 1910.
Well Putin just told you. Ukraine was made up out of whole cloth. There was no Ukraine. There was Poland and there was Russia. Look at the 1910 map of the Middle East. There was a country that no longer exists called Kurdistan. Well what happen to Kurdistan? Well the geniuses at the end of WWII decided that we are needed to break up Kurdistan and put the pieces in Turkey, Syria, Northern Iraq and Northern Iran. So where is all the conflict? Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran. Why is that? Because of the strategy of tension.

Colonel Towner makes it clear that this is her theory, based on what she has read:
If you under stand Operational War Plans, you have a strategic level, an operational level and a tactical level. The strategy is ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT. That is the goal. They wanted Germany to be in charge of the New World Order at that time. The Operational Level was how to go about doing that. And the Tactical Level is the kinetic level. They realized the Kinetic level was not going to be a winnable solution.
So if I change my operational focus to infiltrating the world; with all my Nazi scientists, all my Nazi operators like Skorzeny and thru Gladio; if I can get the apparatus built at the Operational level, then I can effect a one world government at the tactical level with my Gladio units. I can coup any government in the world. I can bring in my international syndicate [aka transnational corporations] to take over all of their resources. I can get as rich as I want. I can control the entire world without firing another shot in a conventional war.
In my mind, this is what I have been building towards the more I learn, because you see a drastic change in the war in 1942. With these stay behind units and the filtering out of them after the war is ‘officially’ over. The distribution of the Nazis, and not all of them are scientists. There is just so much to that.
When the change of focus occurs in Germany in 1942, they create the very first Werewolf Units and put them in all of the Axis territories. Now we get to the end of the war. Galland arranges a meeting with Allen Dulles. Allen Dulles is the OSS commander for the European theater under Wild Bill Donovan. Dulles meets with Galland and they come to an agreement. Galland gets to stay free. They are going to bring Galland in a 4 star uniform with fake documents to the USA. They will de-brief him. They will scout out all the stay behind units and networks in the Axis territories and they are going to take them over. They create the ‘mirror’ in alley countries AND it will all be run out of NATO.
There are two organizations in NATO that are the planning and funding coordinators for Operation Gladio. One of which is called the ACC. It is a highly classified organization. Most people assigned to NATO do not know it exists. It is documented in Paul William’s book Operation Gladio. And also mentioned in Daniele Ganser’s book NATO’s Secret Armies: Operation Gladio and Terrorism in Western Europe
…In 1990, when Gladio got exposed in Italy, Italy is the only country that did an exhaustive investigation and exposed it. One of the things that came out on the magic date of Aug 2nd when it all got revealed, is there was a meeting in NATO of Gladio participants in Oct of 1990. There are inordinate amount of kidnappings because what these people do is they practice on real people. OK? If you do the Canary Islands? When he came up missing his boat was docked at the Canary Islands.
I want to give at least the enlisted a pass.A lot of the Gladio training was done at Fort Bragg [NC] and Fort Benning. [Columbus, Georgia, Alabama border area] And there was an explosive school just north of the Rio Grande above Brownsville TX. [Property the WWF turned into ‘Wildlife Preserves’] Thus they would get large swaths of wooded land and set up Gladio Training camps. So every time you see WWF know it is a front organization for GLADIO. They did this a lot with non-profits, that is just the biggest one…

Guest Post by Ashley Armstrong Rennet is used as a clotting agent to curdle the milk into cheese, separating the liquid parts of milk from the solids. Pfizer makes a genetically modified rennet, but because of a labeling loophole, cheese containing Pfizer’s rennet does not have to be labeled as containing a genetically modified organism.

Traditionally, cheese was made with just four ingredients: milk, salt, starter culture and animal rennet.
Rennet is used as a clotting agent to curdle the milk into cheese, separating the liquid parts of milk from the solids. It’s an essential part of the cheese-making process.
Today, there are four types of rennet used in the cheese-making industry: animal rennet, vegetable rennet, microbial rennet and a genetically modified version called FPC (fermentation-produced chymosin), made by Pfizer.
Bioengineered FPC was granted Generally Regarded as Safe (GRAS) status, which exempted Pfizer from the pre-approved requirements that apply to other new food additives. This is even though studies have detailed concerns about safety.
An estimated 90% of North American cheese is made with FPC rennet, and ingredient labels do not distinguish between bioengineered rennet and the original animal-based type so consumers have no way of knowing what they’re eating.
…Safety concerns of GM enzymes
Well, again, this technology is new. So there are no long-term studies evaluating the safety of eating a small amount of this genetically modified food additive every single day. But there are two main concerns: 1) toxicity and 2) digestive issues since these rennet alternatives can serve as an allergen.
Toxicity concerns
Toxicity means that the enzyme solution contains biotoxins from the genetically modified host (mold or fungus) that is being cultured and fermented in the lab. The producers of these enzymes claim the final FPC enzyme solution is highly purified, but some people react as though they still contain some of the allergens from the host microorganisms themselves.
In fact, traces of the genetically engineered bacteria have been found in enzymes. A few quotes from the literature regarding these toxicity concerns. I don’t know about you, but I have no desire to consume biotoxins from genetically modified organisms! “Genetically modified food enzymes are currently produced from GMOs. Safety concerns have been raised regarding potential contamination of food with bacterial toxins or mycotoxins, allergens, or uncharacterized extraneous substances as impurities. “Because these enzymes are purified from microbial sources, toxic substances might be present in enzyme preparations/isolates. The toxic substances are basically bacterial toxins and mycotoxins, which might cause problems/risks related to the health of consumers.
“Safety legislation is also very much attentive regarding the allergenic properties of manufactured enzymes, as it is well known that enzymes are potent inhalative sensitizers. “Apart from that, numerous uncharacterized extraneous substances/ impurities of microbial/biological origin may also be present in the enzyme preparation, which is also a matter of prime concern while evaluating the safety of commercial enzyme products.
“While food enzyme preparations are considered unlikely to cause any acute toxicity, genotoxicity, or repeat-dose oral toxicity, it is the fermentation product(s) of microorganisms from the manufacturing process that is/are of interest due to the potential presence of secondary metabolites that may induce toxicity when ingested (eg. aflatoxins, fumonisins and/or ochratoxins).”
So, some are concerned about continuous ingestion of these biotoxins over time, and the negative health consequences those would have over the course of years. And unfortunately, there isn’t much regulation here. “Currently, the companies themselves are responsible for the quality control of their products.” Gee, that’s not helpful!
Allergens and digestive issues
So as a result of a small amount of these toxins potentially showing up in the final cheese product (and slight structural changes in the final proteins), the cheese can now serve as an allergen and can cause an allergic reaction, or digestive and respiratory issues.
Stomach upset or discomfort.
Runny nose, increase in mucus production.
Consumers then may think they can’t digest cheese — but hey, maybe it is just the cheese that was made! It may not be the dairy itself, but the microorganism residues that elicit an allergic response, or irritate the gut lining.
I do not digest cheese that is made with this FPC (which again can be “vegetable rennet” or “microbial rennet” on labels). I get stomach upset and a disruption of my normal bowel movements. So something isn’t going right there! I can only digest cheese made with animal rennet, so I am very picky with what cheese I consume day to day! The stuff, this week, is about Naomi Klein vs. Naomi Wolf.
I began by picking up the recent “Naomi vs. Naomi” book, Doppelganger.
You’re all most likely familiar with feminist Naomi Wolf, that perennial guest of Steve Bannon. She, the anti-COVID-vaccine-fighter extraordinaire, whose stellar work on the Pfizer FOIA documents caused Rochelle Walensky to flee her harpy perch at CDC for better cover.
There is another feminist who is sometimes confused with Wolf, named Naomi Klein. Klein is a cabal defender, ultimately, but she has managed a bit of some weak “insider” criticism on the left – enough to be considered an intellectual – not enough to lose her perks and privileges.
Supposedly because Klein is sometimes mistaken for Wolf, and takes wrongly directed criticism from the left for it, Klein decided to attack Wolf, and hence the book. Or at least, that is her story.
Right now, both the Kindle version and the hardback version of Klein’s book are $15, which means that the hardcover is NOT doing well in those cabal bookstores like Barnes & Lucifer.
“WHAT???!!!” – you may be saying. Why would this Wolf (“DA WOOF”) be picking up RADICAL LEFT TRASH?
The book is basically one long REEEEEEEEEE!!!!!, and it’s glorious, and that is why I bought it.
More specifically, the book is a left-wing, globalist, overly verbose, incredibly narcissistic, and eye-rollingly navel-gazing attack by stereotypical “New York culture, Canada address” feminist Naomi Klein on “MAGA-friendly liberal” feminist Naomi Wolf.
Once I realized how much of a REEEEEEEEEE!!! this book was, I began laughing in the store at every breathless outrage, and eventually realized that I needed to buy it.
The thing is, Naomi Klein is OBSESSED with Naomi Wolf, and the more one reads, the more one understands that FAKERY is chasing AUTHENTICITY – obsessed – because Fakery cannot stand to be in the same room as Authenticity, and yet it MUST be in that room, getting all the attention, so it has to ATTACK what it cannot be.
In the same way that people like Romney, Pelosi, Obama, Kasich, and all the rest are OBSESSED with Trump, and simply MUST try to destroy him – in the same way that Satan is OBSESSED with Christ, and must try to destroy Him, so Naomi Klein is obsessed with the “other Naomi” whose coattails she rode in on, and from whose coattails she exited, in the name of holding onto respect by the media, the government, and the rest of the elite.
It is my belief that Naomi Klein is the real doppelganger, and that her work is a kind of sub-critical hysterical confession. IMO, Klein always benefited from confusion with Naomi Wolf – until Naomi Wolf “walked the walk” right into the fire – in a way that Naomi Klein could not follow, nor even pretend to “talk the talk” without losing her seat at the elite table.
Wolf lost her academic position for speaking the truth. Klein still has hers. Do the math.
Klein wrote a book called The Shock Doctrine, which was a very insightful look at how neo-liberal corporate capitalism piles into crisis to make money. Klein was basically starting to see the phoniness of things like the Green New Deal. The problem was, she could never go far enough, because she’s too close to the agenda. Whether Klein can’t see, won’t see, or is just pretending not to see, it doesn’t change the outcome – she doesn’t see.
Klein can never see – nor admit that she sees – the corruption of centralized government, working hand-in-hand with phony crisis capitalism.
COVID and the vaccines provide a perfect example. Klein simply can’t leave the plantation. She stays safely on the “Bad Wolf” designated cheer circle, criticizing Wolf for departing from “the science” into “conspiracy theories”, and utterly refusing to admit that “the science” is no longer interested in saving pleb lives, when government money, taken from the plebs, is there for the taking.
Does Klein know? Is she wise to the globalist scam? Probably, IMO.
Klein also takes some interesting heat from the left.
For example, Klein is seen as a bit too friendly toward big-government-big-corporation-big-NGO-big-academia solutions, and the “gang-green” take her out for not going totally Maoist and anarchist on climate change, like those brave souls who glue themselves to roads, art exhibits, and whatnot.
Whatever. The bottom line is that I took one for the team, to figure out what’s up with this Klein broad. Save your money – don’t buy the book unless you want to “see the REE“!
My thesis here is that the Cabal learned, in the late 1960s, early 1970s, that the earth was likely heading into an ice age. I documented this in GREENHOUSE, ICEHOUSE OR CLIMATIC MADHOUSE? h/t Neuman and Hearty (1996) They decided to hide that fact from the general population while preparing for glaciation by consolidating power, conserving resources and reducing world population growth. Via grant money they also directed research into genetic manipulation of plants and animals, surveillance techniques and other technology. They knew that over the last 5 to 8 million years during glaciation, CO2 dipped dangerously low, forcing the evolution of C4 plants and the extinction of mammals. This explains many of their disinformation campaigns such as ‘Global Warming, CO2 is BAD, Feminism, abortion is good, and having too many kids is BAD. It even explains the nuclear power scares. They are well aware that the Grand Solar Maximum that lifted the earth out of the Little Ice Age has now ended, and they may truly think that a new Ice Age is imminent.
No one wants to stick their neck out and predict glaciation, but it does not matter. The only choices are glaciation or a climatic ‘madhouse.’ Either way the only climate we will see in the near future is the ‘madhouse.’
Before I get into the evidence showing why the Cabal wants to conserve coal, oil and nuclear fuels for use during the coming cooling/ice age, I want to point out another indicator that the Cabal is expecting the transition to glacial conditions AND THEY EXPECT IT NOW. Since William McClenney wrote Glacial Inception: the climatic ‘madhouse’nine years ago, his link to the Neuman & Hearty paper has gone dead … Imagine that!!! Since I started to write this paper even more ‘clean-up’ of ‘inconvenient’ information has occurred so I am going to address that as a separate topic.
CLIMATIC MADHOUSE
I would also like to point out the recent change in the Cabal’s rhetoric. The talking heads no longer use ‘Global Warming,’ since it is no longer warming, and instead use ‘Climate Change’ or ‘Climate Disruption’. Hearty uses the phrase ‘Climatic Madhouse’ for the same phenomena. That is certainly a good reason for the Cabal to deep six the paper referenced by McClenney at WUWT. They do not want a reference pointing out that ‘Climate Disruption’ is not only natural, but an indication that we are heading into either Little Ice Age conditions or a full blown Ice Age.
The geology of the Last Interglaciation (sensu stricto, marine isotope substage (MIS) 5e) in the Bahamas records the nature of sea level and climate change. After a period of quasi-stability for most of the interglaciation, during which reefs grew to +2.5 m, sea level rose rapidly at the end of the period, incising notches in older limestone. After brief stillstands at +6 and perhaps +8.5 m, sea level fell with apparent speed to the MIS 5d lowstand and much cooler climatic conditions. It was during this regression from the MIS 5e highstand that the North Atlantic suffered an oceanographic “reorganization” about 118±3 ka ago. During this same interval, massive dune-building greatly enlarged the Bahama Islands. Giant waves reshaped exposed lowlands into chevron-shaped beach ridges, ran up on older coastal ridges, and also broke off and threw megaboulders onto and over 20 m-high cliffs. The oolitic rocks recording these features yield concordant whole-rock amino acid ratios across the archipelago. Whether or not the Last Interglaciation serves as an appropriate analog for our “greenhouse” world, it nonetheless reveals the intricate details of climatic transitions between warm interglaciations and near glacial conditions.
And a paper by different authors looking at a different part of the world showing a similar chaotic transition from the warm phase to the cold phase.
This is a review of several different studies. The scientists are looking at both the geochemical data and the biological data (pollen), two independent methods of determining the climate of the past showing the same chaos.

The time intervals of global large-scale transitions between glacial and interglacial epochs are characterized by instable stages throughout Quaternary climate course. During such warm-cold transitions an increase of mid- and small-scale climate variations can be expected….
At the very end of the Eemian (PAZ E7) and just before the complete change to glacial conditions, a brief phase of warming is recognized from all geochemical indicators. This is indicated by the coordinate increase of contents and stable isotope values of both lake carbonate and the organic sediment fraction…
…Comparable findings were also described by earlier investigations of the Neumark–Nord profile (Litt, 1994). A pronounced increase of fluctuations in arboreal vegetation during the final stage of the Last Interglacial in LPAZ N8 is observed…. at least two stages of degradation of coniferous forest vegetation, while birch woodlands became widespread. Together with geochemical data, these can be interpreted as an indicator of increased climatic instability caused by short warming events during the very end of the Last Interglacial (Eemian)….
The earth’s climate seems to be bistable so that a temperature ‘low point’ has “increased climatic instability” as seen during the Little Ice Age. The following graphs shows the Köppen Climate Boundary for mid America. If you look at the bottom graph, you can see how the cooling in the 1970s moved the Köppen Climate Boundary south by about 150 to 200 miles. Think what that did to the grain harvests in not only the USA, but also in Canada, Russia and China. World leaders were panicking as world grain stores were depleted to a 30 day supply by1969 per 1974 CIA Report mentioned below.
This is the December 3, 1972 Letter from George Kukla and others warning Nixon of a coming Ice Age. I originally saw this letter at Tony Heller’s site. Between the time I started writing and now it was removed. However I found another copy.
An important conference was held in January at Brown University: “The Present Interglacial, How and When Will it End?” As a result, the following letter was sent to the President. The media has not reported this, but you should be aware of the letter and its significance.
Dear Mr. President:
Aware of your deep concern with the future of the world, we feel obliged to inform you on the results of the scientific conference held here recently. The conference dealt with the past and future changes of climate and was attended by 42 top American and European investigators. We enclose the summary report published in Science and further publications are forthcoming in Quaternary Research.
The main conclusion of the meeting was that a global deterioration of climate, by order of magnitude larger than any hitherto experience by civilized mankind, is a very real possibility and indeed may be due very soon.
The cooling has natural cause and falls within the rank of processes which produced the last ice age. This is a surprising result based largely on recent studies of deep sea sediments.
Existing data still do not allow forecast of the precise timing of the predicted development, nor the assessment of the man’s interference with the natural trends. It could not be excluded however that the cooling now under way in the Northern Hemisphere is the start of the expected shift. The present rate of the cooling seems fast enough to bring glacial temperatures in about a century, if continuing at the present pace.
The practical consequences which might be brough by such developments to existing social institution are among others:
(1) Substantially lowered food production due to the shorter growing seasons and changed rain distribution in the main grain producing belts of the world, with Eastern Europe and Central Asia to be first affected.
(2) Increased frequency and amplitude of extreme weather anomalies such as those bringing floods, snowstorms, killing frosts, etc.

COOLING VS THE FOOD PROBLEM – First there is the problem of WATER.
I think everyone is aware of what shorter growing seasons do to the food supply, at least I hope so. I also hope people can connect increase in solar energy going into the oceans with an increase of evaporation and thus an increase in rain. Likewise a DECREASE in solar energy will mean less evaporation and less rain. Compared to the Holocene, the Wisconsin Ice Age was very dry.

An obvious solution to the ‘cold, dry, windy ’ problem of an Ice Age is desalination. Israel put into large scale use the reverse osmosis technology developed in the USA in the early 60s. LINK 1 as well as water conservation methods in agriculture LINK 2-Israel agi.
Desalination was first developed in Israel in 1965, when Mekorot, Israel’s national water utility, established the first seawater desalination facility using vaporization technology in an effort to address the chronic thirst of the city of Eilat, located at the extreme southern tip of Israel on the Red Sea. A highly energy-intensive process, Mekorot looked for an alternative, energy-saving process, which it found in the reverse osmosis (RO) technology developed in the United States. In the early 1970s after the energy crisis of the Yom Kippur War, Mekorot began installing small-scale brackish water RO-desalination plants and, within the decade, established 15 desalination plants that supplied water to the Arava valley residents. Increasing demand and decreasing supply of freshwater in the coming years encouraged Mekorot to develop seawater desalination as an additional source, and the first plant (which desalinated a mixture of seawater and the reject brine from desalinated brackish water) commenced operation in 1997 in Eilat (Mekorot 2006). The motivation behind desalination of seawater in Israel stems from the fact that current demand and projected future demand cannot be met by natural freshwater sources alone – a disparity that results from population growth, overconsumption, misallocation, and pollution…

Not only was the area in the USA/Canada/Russia/China moved south by 100 to 200 miles in the seventies, CO2 is very soluble in COLD WATER (van ‘t Hoff equation.) So as the earth cools CO2 gets sucked up by the oceans thereby lowering the amount of CO2 available for plants.
As ocean temperatures rise, the solubility of CO2 in seawater declines. Thus increasing ocean temperature moves CO2 from the ocean into the atmosphere, and decreasing ocean temperatures move CO2 out of the atmosphere and back into the ocean. Under stress seeds will not even start and the cut off is ~220 ppm CO2. The Climastrologists played games with the measurements of ice cores and came up with 150. Tiny pores on plant leaves and needles called stomata regulate carbon dioxide absorption and water vapor release. Stomata numbers decrease during times of high atmospheric CO2, and increase when atmospheric CO2 is low….
The vast majority of land plants we rely on for human food and energy use the C3 pathway, which is the oldest of the pathways for carbon fixation, and it is found in plants of all taxonomies. Almost all extant nonhuman primates across all body sizes, including prosimians, new and old world monkeys, and all the apes—even those who live in regions with C4 and CAM plants—depend on C3 plants for sustenance….
The problem is the C3 pathway needs more water and CO2 than the C4 pathway and both were in short supply during the last Ice Age and are certainly not at optimum levels now as shown by the African desertification since the Holocene Optimum.
The Rancho La Brea tar pit fossil collection includes Juniperus (C3) wood specimens that 14C date between 7.7 and 55 thousand years (kyr) B.P., providing a constrained record of plant response for southern California during the last glacial period. Atmospheric CO2 concentration ([CO2]) ranged between 180 and 220 ppm during glacial periods, rose to 280 ppm before the industrial period, and is currently approaching 380 ppm in the modern atmosphere. Here we report on [delta]13C of Juniperus wood cellulose, and show that glacial and modern trees were operating at similar leaf- intercellular [CO2](ci)/atmospheric [CO2](ca) values. As a result, glacial trees were operating at ci values much closer to the CO2-compensation point for C3 photosynthesis than modern trees, indicating that glacial trees were undergoing carbon starvation. In addition, we modeled relative humidity by using [delta]18O of cellulose from the same Juniperus specimens and found that glacial humidity was 10% higher than that in modern times, indicating that differences in vapor-pressure deficits did not impose additional constrictions on ci/ca in the past. By scaling ancient ci values to plant growth by using modern relationships, we found evidence that C3 primary productivity was greatly diminished in southern California during the last glacial period.

At the most extreme stage of the last glaciation, most of Canada and much of the northern USA were covered by an ice sheet thousands of metres in thickness. Colder and often drier than present conditions predominated across most of the USA. The eastern deciduous and conifer forests were replaced by more open conifer woodlands with cooler-climate species of pines and a large component of spruce. The open spruce woodland and parkland extended somewhat further west than present, into what is now the prairie zone. As a result of aridity and lowering of sea level (which lowered inland water tables), much of Florida was covered by drifting sand dunes. Notably moister than present conditions occurred across much of the south-west, with open conifer woodlands and scrub common in areas that are now semi-desert.
The decline of atmospheric CO2 over the last 65 million years (Ma) resulted in the ‘CO2-starvation’ of terrestrial ecosystems and led to the widespread distribution of C4 plants, which are less sensitive to CO2 levels than are C3 plants. Global expansion of C4 biomass is recorded in the diets of mammals from Asia, Africa, North America, and South America during the interval from about 8 to 5 Ma. This was accompanied by the most significant Cenozoic faunal turnover on each of these continents, indicating that ecological changes at this time were an important factor in mammalian extinction. Further expansion of tropical C4 biomass in Africa also occurred during the last glacial interval confirming the link between atmospheric CO2 levels and C4 biomass response. Lower CO2 levels PLUS lower moisture with a COLD boot from glaciation did lead to the evolution of C4 and CAM plants which use a different but more energy expensive chemical pathway to conserve water.

C4 photosynthesis is a series of anatomical and biochemical modifications that concentrate CO2 around the carboxylating enzyme Rubisco, thereby increasing photo-synthetic efficiency in conditions promoting high rates of photo-respiration. The C4 pathway independently evolved over 45 times in 19 families of angiosperms, and thus represents one of the most convergent of evolutionary phenomena. Most origins of C4 photosynthesis occurred in the dicots, with at least 30 lineages. C4 photosynthesis first arose in grasses, probably during the Oligocene epoch (24–35 million yr ago). The earliest C4 dicots are likely members of the Chenopodiaceae dating back 15–21 million yr; however, most C4 dicot lineages are estimated to have appeared relatively recently, perhaps less than 5 million yr ago. C4 photosynthesis in the dicots originated in arid regions of low latitude, implicating combined effects of heat, drought and/or salinity as important conditions promoting C4 evolution. Low atmospheric CO2 is a significant contributing factor, because it is required for high rates of photorespiration. Consistently, the appearance of C4 plants in the evolutionary record coincides with periods of increasing global aridification and declining atmospheric CO2. …Such studies have shown that the average biomass production of modern C3 plants is reduced by c. 50% when grown at low (180–220 ppm) vs modern (350–380 ppm) [CO2], when other conditions are optimal (Sage & Coleman, 2001; Fig. 5). There is, however, variation in this response among C3 species (Fig. 5), as well as within C3 species, whereby reductions in biomass may vary by 40–70% among genotypes (Ward & Strain, 1997; Hovenden & Schimanski, 2000; Mohan et al., 2004). In addition, as [CO2] declines to 150 ppm, biomass production may be reduced by as much as 92%, as was observed in A. theophrasti (Dippery et al., 1995; Figs 2, 5)….
Notice the LIE by omission? They are talking BIOMASS and not how well the plants do from seed germination to producing the seeds for the next generation during a growing season.. Under stress the seeds will not even start to grow.
The biology of seeds can be divided in three important phases: development that includes zygotic embryogenesis, dormancy that prevents seeds from germinating under unfavorable conditions and germination (seed emergence). The transition between dormancy and germination represents a critical stage in the life cycle of higher plants and it is an important ecological and commercial trait. Seed germination is regulated by endogenous hormonal cues and external environmental signals such as water, low temperature and light, which influence whether an imbibed seed completes germination or remains dormant. Seed dormancy, a temporary quiescent state that is observed in seeds from many plants species, prevents untimely germination and ensures plant survival by adjusting vegetative development to seasonal changes in the environment. A dynamic balance between synthesis and catabolism of the abscisic acid (ABA) and gibberellins (GAs) controls the equilibrium between dormancy and germination. At the molecular level, the ABA/GA balance is in part determined by the antagonistic control of ABA and GA on each other through their reciprocal regulation of the transcription of their metabolic genes.
The ABA, derived from epoxycarotenoid cleavage, serves as a plant-specific signal during development and in response to environmental stresses such as cold, drought and high concentrations of salt in the soil. The ABA also elicits, among others numerous physiological functions, the closure of stomatal pores to restrict transpiration, adjustment of metabolism to tolerate desiccation and cold temperatures, and inhibition seedlings growth. Likewise, ABA represses germination and is presumed to function to stabilize the dormant state. ABA, like other hormones, functions through a complex network of signaling pathways where the cell response is initiated by ABA perception which triggers downstream signaling cascades to induce the final physiological effects….
Even C4 plants do better in higher CO2 atmospheres.
…In summary, it is clear that C4 plants do indeed respond positively to increases in the air’s CO2 concentration by exhibiting reduced stomatal conductances and transpirational water losses, which contribute to increases in water-use efficiency. Hence, knowledgeable researchers are suggesting that the long-held view that C4 plants will not be benefited by elevated concentrations of atmospheric CO2 needs to be replaced with this more correct assessment (Wand et al., 1999; Zhu et al., 1999). Clearly, as the atmospheric CO2 concentration increases, most C4 plants will almost certainly display increases in water-use efficiency, which should allow them to better deal with conditions of water stress. Consequently, this phenomenon should allow plants of the future to expand their ranges into areas where they currently cannot survive due to limited soil moisture availability, thereby contributing to a great “greening of the globe.”
There is another more subtle aspect to the CO2 starvation level and that is the change in partial pressure as the elevation above sea level increases.
…. Carbon limitation due to lower ambient CO2 partial pressures had a significant impact on the distribution of forest on the tropical mountains, in addition to climate. Hence, tree line elevation should not be used to infer palaeotemperatures….
Estimates of glacial-interglacial climate change in tropical Africa have varied widely. Results from a process-based vegetation model show how montane vegetation in East Africa shifts with changes in both carbon dioxide concentration and climate. For the last glacial maximum, the change in atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration alone could explain the observed replacement of tropical montane forest by a scrub biome. This result implies that estimates of the last glacial maximum tropical cooling based on tree- line shifts must be revised.”
…While [CO2] does not vary with elevation, CO2 partial pressure decreases in proportion to total atmospheric pressure. Under modern conditions, partial pressures of CO2 at high-elevation sites are 10–30% lower than at low-elevation sites, producing an even more conservative comparison between glacial and modern conditions….
That means if the CO2 level is around 210 ppm you can kiss trees and other C3 plants growing above sea level goodby and that is most of the earth.
…According to Barnola et al (1987) the level of CO2 in the global atmosphere during many tens of thousands of years spanning 30,000 to110,000 BP were below 200ppm. If this were true then the growth of C3 plants should be limited at the global scale because their net Photosynthesis is depressed as CO2 concentration in air decreases to less than about 250ubar (less than about 250ppmv)(McKay et al 1991) This would lead to the extinction of C3 plant species . This has however not been recorded by paleobotanists (Manum 1991).”

Pg 57: It isn’t so much that Ice Ages occur when the astronomical influences conspire to produce particularly cool summers, rather what matters is that Interglacials only occur when the astronomical influences conspire to produce unusually warm summers, encouraging the ice to retreat. Without all three of the astronomical rhythms working in step this way, the Earth stays in a deep freeze.

So, to summarize:
1) The south pole doesn’t matter to the process, it’s always frozen.
2) We are normally in a long ice age and only pop out for short intervals when conditions are just right.
3) The ‘just right’ is Northern Hemisphere summers warm enough to melt the snow and ice.
4) Warm enough is when the N. hemisphere: must be pointed at the sun in summer when: at close approach to the sun with the right elliptical shape, with the pole tilted over far enough, with… or we freeze.
I would add a note that I think it is particularly illuminating that we are near the end of an Interglacial (next stop is an ice age), the only thing that keeps it away is the summer Arctic ice and snow melt. So what is the AGW crowd in histrionics about? That the Arctic ice and snow are not sticking through the summer… Think about….
Right now Earth is nearest the sun during northern winters, farthest from the sun during northern summers. If E.M. Smith’s theory is correct, we’re headed for another ice age in the near future. This shift is called the precession of the equinoxes and has a period of 26,000 years. In only 12,000 years the perihelion will be in July. The summer solstice, 21 June @ 65◦ N is what most scientist use for measuring the critical solar insolation.

Michaelh thought I should turn a recent comment into an article. LINK So I am going to buff up and expand that comment. As I said in my De-Population series, the years around 1970 were an inflection point, a pivotal time period in American history.

SETTING THE STAGE
The late 1960s and early 1970s saw a major period of cooling. In 1969, grain stores had decreased drastically and by 1972 had plummeted to crisis levels, that, according to the CIA, country leaders went to great pains to hide. In 1970, Broecker, using new radioactive decay dating methods (oxygen isotopes) identified and dated five full ice age cycles. He stated his work was in agreement with the 1911 Milankovitch cycles. (Hays and Shackleton expanded on this, publishing in 1972.) Kukla and Matthews alerted President Richard Nixon that the Holocene could be ending (12/03/72.) Kukla STILL asserts all Ice Ages start with a period of global warming. They’re the harbingers of new Ice Ages. (That warming has now ended.)
*In 1974 a CIA report warned ”…there is considerable evidence that these empires may not have been undone by barbarian invaders but by climatic change…. has tied several of these declines to specific global cool periods, major and minor…” To the Cabal that was a serious OH! SCHIFF! However this crisis could be used to scare world leaders into falling in line with the Cabal’s plans for population control and a world government, and that is exactly what happened.

THE 1970S SHORT HISTORY:
If we go back in time to the 1970 inflection point, we can see that the plans were already being put in place to ‘De-industrialize’ the USA. By 1970, thanks to the stimulus from WWII, US manufacturing was really humming, while Europe was still recovering from WWII and Russia and China were suffering mis-management under Communism. In 1970 the percent of the workforce employed in manufacturing was 26.4% In 2013, it was about8.8 %at which point the government quit keeping track. In 2013 the USA had close to ~23% unemployment rate and that goes for the entire eight years prior to that date. In spite of the government numbers, GDP in 2013 had actually been below zero according to ShadowStat. By the time of Obama, the USA had become a ‘Service Economy’ selling cheap Chinese crud to each other. The only reason we did not have soup lines is because of the invention of EBT cards, the FED printing money and the 2 trillion dollar underground economy.
If you have read the earlier articles you will see Nixon was a critical figure when it came to implementing the Cabal’s depopulation plans here in the US. He also played a major roll in ‘de-industrializing’ the USA. Nixon is the president who gave us the EPA (December 4, 1970.), OSHA, (December 29, 1970) opened the US market up to strengthen Mao’s Communist China (1971-72), and closed the gold window (August 1971) since foreign banks had stripped all the ‘good deliverable gold’ from Fort Knox. This lead to massive devaluation of the dollar, followed by the OPEC cartel hiking the price of oil. For example, during the 1980s, President Ronald Reagan wanted to deregulate the economy, but he was constrained by law and could not. A Federalist Society theorist, Professor Richard Epstein, argued that property was not a matter of positive law, i.e., conventions drawn up by legislators, but of natural law, i.e., that it was instituted by God. Now, any regulation of an economic activity consists in limiting the way in which certain owners behave. Therefore, any regulation is an expropriation that requires compensation.
Thus, if a law, in the interest of the community, requires industrialists to produce only products of a certain quality, it limits their property rights, and they must therefore be compensated. This interpretation of the law allowed President Ronald Reagan to deconstruct all pre-existing economic regulations…

These promote religious freedom, gender equality, democratic rights, and the abolition of slavery; they monitor human rights performance by governments, including—and especially—the U.S. government. U.S. government action, together with global activism by U.S. NGOs, has put Americans in the forefront of attempts to improve women’s rights, defend religious liberty, improve access to AIDS drugs, [a major POISON developed by Fauci according to Dr Judy Mikovits -G.C.] spread democracy and freedom through the Arab and Muslim worlds, and oppose tyrants from Slobodan Milošević to Saddam Hussein….

Note the differences in the explanation of the origin of the Federalist Society. Melding the two you have Industrialists like the Rockefellers (remember their link to Chicago University via John Dewey) LOOKING for groups they can use. John D. was KNOWN for hiding his moves behind surrogates.
THE ORIGIN OF NGOs:
Rockefeller’s man, Maurice Strong, was Chair of the First Earth Summit in 1972. He started the CAGW movement. Strong is the guy who said “…current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class…are not sustainable. A shift is necessary toward lifestyles less geared to environmentally damaging consumption patterns….” in his opening remarks at Earth Summit II in 1992. Strong’s web site in google states: “Maurice Strong globalized the environmental movement.”
In brief Maurice Strong worked in Saudi Arabia for a Rockefeller company, Caltex, in 1953. He left Caltex in 1954 to worked at high levels in banking and oil. By 1971, he served as a trustee for the Rockefeller Foundation, and in 1972 was Secretary-General of the U.N. Conference on the Human Environment. He was Co-founder of the WWF and Senior Advisor to the World Bank, the UN AND the World Economic Forum.
Strong’s early work with YMCA international “…may have been the genesis of Strong’s realization that NGOs (non-government organizations) provide an excellent way to use NGOs to couple the money from philanthropists and business with the objectives of government.” LINK

By Presidential Executive Order the USA was divided into ten regions. These regions are governed by an unholy mix of unelected government bureaucrats and NGOs. Well that certainly explains why Reagan did not use the anti-monopoly laws on the books to prevent the Transnational Corporations from a massive take over of American owned mid-sized corporations. It also explains why our ‘Conservative’ Judges did nothing to stop him.

Corporate takeovers became a prominent feature of the American business landscape during the seventies and eighties. A hostile takeover usually involves a public tender offer—a public offer of a specific price, usually at a substantial premium over the prevailing market price, good for a limited period, for a substantial percentage of the target firm’s stock. Unlike a merger, which requires the approval of the target firm’s board of directors as well as voting approval of the stockholders, a tender offer can provide voting control to the bidding firm without the approval of the target’s management and directors…..
Because it allows bidders to seek control directly from shareholders—by going “over the heads” of target management—the tender offer is the most powerful weapon available to the hostile bidder. … Although hostile bidders still need a formal merger to gain total control of the target’s assets, this is easily accomplished once the bidder has purchased a majority of voting stock.
Hostile tender offers have been around for decades, but they were rare and generally involved small target firms until the midseventies. Then came the highly controversial multibillion-dollar hostile takeovers of very recognizable public companies. By the late eighties there were dozens of multi-billion-dollar takeovers and their cousins, leveraged buyouts (LBOs). The largest acquisition ever was the $25 billion buyout of RJR Nabisco by Kolberg Kravis and Roberts in 1989. [Editor’s note: this was written in 1992.] ….

Their holdings are now such a large percentage of the total that, if confidence in the U.S. falters and foreigners become sellers, there is grave risk to U.S. financial markets….

There may be 147 companies in the world that own everything, as colleague Bruce Upbin points out and they are dominated by investment companies as Eric Savitz rightly points out. But it’s not you and I who really control those companies, even though much of our money is in them. Given the nature of how money is invested, there are four companies in the shadows that 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 control those companies that own everything.
Before I reveal them, some light math:
According to the 2011 annual factbook from the Investment Company Institute, there is $24.7 trillion in all the mutual funds in the world (a little less than half from the US). Based on data from the ICI, $1.24 trillion of this is directly invested in index funds, plus another $992 billion in assets beyond that $24.7 trillion in Exchange Traded Funds, which aren’t mutual funds but are index funds. That means the bulk of that money is in “active” managed funds or fund of funds….
...the chief of hedge funds at a very large asset manager told me last week (alas, I cannot identify either) that an internal study his firm recently performed found that the vast majority of mutual funds defined as actively managed see 95% of the assets they hold determined by an index. That means just 5% of actively managed funds really are driven by the active manager’s judgment.…
So of the $25.69 trillion in worldwide assets we’ve identified, $2.23 trillion are directly in indexes (ETFs and index mutual funds) with another $22.3 trillion indirectly beholden to indexes (that 95% of actively managed fund holdings said to be determined by an index).
You can see where I’m headed here. That means the real power to control the world lies with four companies: McGraw-Hill, which owns Standard & Poor’s, Northwestern Mutual, which owns Russell Investments, the index arm of which runs the benchmark Russell 1,000 and Russell 3,000, CME Group which owns 90% of Dow Jones Indexes, and Barclay’s, which took over Lehman Brothers and its Lehman Aggregate Bond Index, the dominant world bond fund index. Together, these four firms dominate the world of indexing. And in turn, that means they hold real sway over the world’s money….
Just to be clear, if you invest in a mutual fund you are buying shares in the mutual fund (that you cannot vote) and theMutual Fundthen uses YOUR money to buy stock shares which it owns and controls. This allows much more consolidation of control. For example Edward C Johnson 3rd, chairman of the Fidelity Group voted the stock in Monsanto owned by several pension and mutual funds like FMR LLC, FIDELITY MAGELLAN FUND INC, FIDELITY GROWTH COMPANY FUND, and Pyramid Global Advisors. The Vanguard Group, aka John C. Bogle, owned another healthy chunk of Monsanto. In this way even more power is concentrated in the hands of a few. This explains the point made in the paper, Network of Global Corporate Control, that the amount of power is greater than the amount of wealth can account for.
So facts like “85% of Monsanto is held by mutual funds and Institutional (financial) Holders” while true in that the money originated from pensioners and other little people does not tell the whole story. Yet it is trumpeted by those who want to confuse those trying to follow the money and power trails and misdirect us into thinking the stock is held and voted by pensioners — a complete and utter falsehood.

Not only does the Cabal use our saving and pensions to gain control over corporations, they also shifted the tax burden to the middle class. At the same time that corporate taxes and tariffs on imported good (excise) have gone down, taxes on personal income aka WAGES has gone up. ‘Tax the wealthy’ is a real joke because the wealthy ARE NOT PAID WAGES.

I think with the Covid Vaccine, our eyes have been opened to just how demented the Cabal can be. So we need to be aware of the thinking of these diabolically disordered souls. I have tried to give you a glimpse into the thinking of the Cabal to serve as a background for why I do not think nuclear war is ‘Unthinkable’ to them.
At this point we have several players on the field:
Putin – He does not worry me because he has proven to be smart and measured with a very cool head.
Xi – Again very smart. I do not trust him, however the Chinese generally look at the LONG VIEW and they have been wining the stealth war.
Kim Jung Un – I think that Trump neutralized him or rather his puppet masters.
For me the question mark is IRAN given Obama, Val Jar and Kerry’s interest. Just do a search on Iran plus Nuclear.
I certainly hope the Badlands group who think there is a ‘Sovereign Alliance’ is correct and that Iran is part of it!
At this point I think we are all aware the Biden’s and others have a vested interest in Ukraine. In a panel moderated by host Vladimir Solovyov, Gurulyov said that Americans “won’t come to their senses” until they “get hit with a nuke on their skull.”
The Russian ultra-nationalist also claimed that a nuclear strike was the only path forward to ensure lasting peace….

THE HISTORY OF US PUBLIC NUCLEAR PARANOIA
The Elite are well aware that ENERGY is the key to re-enslaving the middle class. Energy is THE prime requirement for civilization. Anywhere from animal/slave muscle power to oil to nuclear we depend on energy. As Aristotle said:

A want ad I saw in the 1985 Boston Globe said “Nuclear Protesters $10/hour” Before all the Global warming nonsense, in 1969, a Rockefeller official said the USA would be de-industrialized.
Dr. Richard Day, the National Medical Director of the Rockefeller-sponsored “Planned Parenthood” told a meeting that American industry will be sabotaged and shown to be unreliable and uncompetitive…

The continued preeminence of the United States and the relative independence and self-sufficiency of the United States would have to be changed… in order to create a new structure, you first have to tear down the old, and American industry was one example of that.”

+ Advertising directed at the general public
Exaggerated dangers and innuendos of industry incompetence were widely accepted as fact. The industry had no strategy for self-defence, being in the business of NP, not propaganda, and became “an 80 billion dollar underdog”.

About 600 full-time “environmental lawyers” operated on a budget of at least 45 million dollars in 1977 and about one-third of this was spent purely on energy-stopping….

Then there is the other type of activist represented by this conversation with an anti-society antinuclear activist:
…I had the opportunity a few days ago of talking to a bright young anti-nuclear activist about the way Fukushima has helped the anti-nuclear cause….
I braced myself for a debate about how serious the nuclear accident really was, health effects, long term effect, cleanup costs, etc. But I was completely taken off-guard by what he told me right off the bat. He actually agreed that the seriousness of the accident was greatly overstated and that the health effects were likely to turn out to be as small as to be nonexistent.
My response was, of course, to ask how he could align this with the scaremongering and misinformation being spread by the anti-nuclear parties. He then explained to me that the facts about nuclear energy, its safety and even its positive economic effects were not relevant. He said that scaremongering and misinformation where the appropriate and moral strategy of anti-nuclear groups.
He said that the ideology of sustainability and anti-nuclearism was so important for the future of humanity that facts should be of no concern. Moreover: if the invention of fake information (i.e. lies) about nuclear energy could bring closer the day of elimination of nuclear power from the earth, then that meant that producing and spreading fake information should (and indeed was) a top priority of all anti-nuclear groups…..
He said that people in general cannot and do not base their views and opinions on facts, so the value of facts versus fiction was relative. In order to bring about the desired outcome (i.e. a nuclear free world) fiction could be (and in fact was, in his opinion) a much better way to do it then facts.
Finally, I asked him why he thought nuclear power should be eliminated even after he told me that he agreed that nuclear power was good for the economy. His reply was simply that an additional goal of the antinuclear movement (as far as he was concerned) was in fact the reduction of economic activity, since according to him, the greatest cause of ecological damage was increased economic activity.
So in his mind, the fact that nuclear power was a boon for the economy was all the more reason to try to eliminate it. In closing, I told him that a reduction in economic activity would also reduce his own prospects for a high quality of life and prosperity. But he didn’t agree with me. He said that further economic expansion was of no use to him, because he believed in living a simple life…
He said that economic expansion was bad for people because it distracted from the true quality of life, which consists of community and social activities that are mostly threatened by improved prosperity, rather than improved by it…..
He knows darn well he is lying and is intentionally crafting lies because HE knows what is best for humanity and we are too stupid and greedy to be trusted to control our own lives. Again no amount of scientific evidence will sway them since they already know everything is a lie and are very willing to put on the serf’s collar and live in poverty…. or at least put it on YOU.
Just for the record… Nuclear Testing
There were over 900 atmospheric and underground nuclear tests in the USA alone. There were 12 high-altitude nuclear tests during the late 1950′s and early 1960′s off the coast of California at Johnston Island. From 1945 until 2008, there have been over 2,000 nuclear tests conducted worldwide.

Since the first nuclear test explosion on July 16, 1945, at least eight nations have detonated 2,056 nuclear test explosions at dozens of test sites, including Lop Nor in China, the atolls of the Pacific, Nevada, Algeria where France conducted its first nuclear device, western Australia where the U.K. exploded nuclear weapons, the South Atlantic, Semipalatinsk in Kazakhstan, across Russia, and elsewhere.

The increased mortality risk to people living in the Chernobyl affected areas in the 1990s is estimated at 0.37%, while even for people returning to live unofficially within the 30 km exclusion zone imposed around the plant in the aftermath of the accident the increased mortality risk is estimated at 1.0%. (The study does not include the 134 people who received extremely high doses of radiation during the 1986 accident).
The study also finds that the effects of obesity on life expectancy are more extreme than radiation effects for survivors of the two atomic bombs.
“The risk to the individual from exposures following major radiation incidents is clearly significant, but may be no greater than that from other much more common environmental and lifestyle factors. This comparative analysis, whilst highlighting inevitable uncertainties in risk quantification and comparison, helps place the potential consequences of radiation exposures in the context of other public health risks,” said Smith….

The World Nuclear Association site has write ups on Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Chernobyl I quote a few paragraphs of much longer articles to illustrate the amount of study and how dangerous long term the bombs/accidents were.
To the 103,000 deaths from the blast or acute radiation exposure at Hiroshima and Nagasaki have since been added those due to radiation induced cancers and leukaemia, which amounted to some 400 within 30 years, and which may ultimately reach about 550. (Some 93,000 exposed survivors were still being monitored 50 years later.) There was an increase in leukaemia beginning about two years later and peaking at four to six years later, and other cancers beginning about ten years later. There was no evident to suggest an increase in leukaemia at less than 500 mSv acute dose. At an acute dose of 100 mSv, an increased cancer risk of 1.05 times normal was calculated. There was concern about ingestion or inhalation of radionuclides, but fires released far higher levels of non-radioactive carcinogens. Additionally, no genetic damage has been detected in survivors’ children, despite careful and continuing investigation by a joint Japanese-US foundation.
The major source of exposure in both cities was from the penetrating gamma radiations, and to a lesser extent from the neutrons (mostly at Hiroshima), emitted during and shortly after fission. There were two further, and smaller, sources of exposure. One, already mentioned, was due to the ‘black rain’ which fell in some areas, carrying down radioactive materials from within the rising cloud of fission products. The exposures due to these depositions are in general estimated to have been small, but some increased activity from the fission product radionuclide caesium-137 remained detectable for many years in soil and farm products in the Nishiyama district east of Nagasaki.
The second additional form of exposure resulted from the effect of neutrons in inducing radioactivity in various stable chemical elements such as in iron or concrete structures or roofing tiles. The total absorbed doses of radiation from these activation products are estimated to be less than one per cent of that from the neutrons which induced them. They could however have caused a significant exposure of people who entered the city within a few days of the explosions.
Subsequent atmospheric weapons tests
The atmospheric testing of some 545 nuclear weapons up to 1963 caused people to be exposed to radiation in a quite different way. The Japanese atomic bombs had caused lethal exposures locally from radiation at the time of the explosions, but very little radiation more than a few kilometres away. On the other hand, subsequent atmospheric tests did not cause any substantial direct exposures of people at the time of the tests. However, the fission products released into the atmosphere caused the whole world population to be exposed to very low but continuing annual doses from fallout. In at least two instances these fission products also caused substantial irradiation to small populations exposed to local fallout close to the site of testing…
The accident destroyed the Chernobyl 4 reactor, killing 30 operators and firemen within three months and several further deaths later. One person was killed immediately and a second died in hospital soon after as a result of injuries received. Another person is reported to have died at the time from a coronary thrombosisc. Acute radiation syndrome (ARS) was originally diagnosed in 237 people onsite and involved with the clean-up and it was later confirmed in 134 cases. Of these, 28 people died as a result of ARS within a few weeks of the accident. Nineteen more workers subsequently died between 1987 and 2004, but their deaths cannot necessarily be attributed to radiation exposured. Nobody offsite suffered from acute radiation effects although a significant, but uncertain, fraction of the thyroid cancers diagnosed since the accident in patients who were children at the time are likely to be due to intake of radioactive iodine falloutm,9. Furthermore, large areas of Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, and beyond were contaminated in varying degrees….
The accident caused the largest uncontrolled radioactive release into the environment ever recorded for any civilian operation, and large quantities of radioactive substances were released into the air for about 10 days. This caused serious social and economic disruption for large populations in Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine. Two radionuclides, the short-lived iodine-131 and the long-lived caesium-137, were particularly significant for the radiation dose they delivered to members of the public.
It is estimated that all of the xenon gas, about half of the iodine and caesium, and at least 5% of the remaining radioactive material in the Chernobyl 4 reactor core (which had 192 tonnes of fuel) was released in the accident. Most of the released material was deposited close by as dust and debris, but the lighter material was carried by wind over Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, and to some extent over Scandinavia and Europe….
In 1989, the World Health Organization (WHO) first raised concerns that local medical scientists had incorrectly attributed various biological and health effects to radiation exposure. Following this, the Government of the USSR requested the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to coordinate an international experts’ assessment of accident’s radiological, environmental and health consequences in selected towns of the most heavily contaminated areas in Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine. Between March 1990 and June 1991, a total of 50 field missions were conducted by 200 experts from 25 countries (including the USSR), seven organizations, and 11 laboratories3. In the absence of pre-1986 data, it compared a control population with those exposed to radiation. Significant health disorders were evident in both control and exposed groups, but, at that stage, none was radiation related…..
The US Government also did illegal experiments on American citizens. Below are the DOD radiation experiments on US citizens that my Mom was part of. Essentially if you do not give a crap about your workers, you can move back in in about 30 years or even sooner.

This quote illustrates Kissinger’s cavalier approach to the use of nuclear weapons. Throughout the 1950s, Kissinger and another military strategist and nuclear enthusiast, Hermann Kahn, would sprout out theories from the CFR on the political and military use of nuclear weapons. They would shy away from being described as Realpolitik, and instead described themselves as pragmatic, political realists.
However, this somehow did not benefit the United States, as other countries would also acquire nuclear weapons. Kissinger was the National Security Advisor when it was discovered that Israel had a nuclear program. At every turn Kissinger was aware of the nuclear situation… Kissinger was also involved in the France becoming a nuclear power….

This is an area where I have very little knowledge and I hope our engineering/computer types can chime in. I do know that a friend with an older VW bug can not get into her trunk until she replaces the battery in her key. I do know a customer got stuck in the parking garage at the airport. He had a brand new car and the signal from the car dealer was blocked by the concrete and steel so he could not start his car. I also know that companies want NEW semi trucks hauling their stuff. Usually no older than 3 to 5 years old. THAT MEANS A LOAN and probably the same tracking/shutoff system. Companies want GPS so they can track their drivers and see if they are speeding. And now they want computer systems for trains.
No, and the starter and alternator will be fine also. The Mustang will be perfectly functional. EMP needs long conductors to build up enough energy to trash things, and the electrical system in older cars cannot build up enough energy to kill the brute force coils and condensers that they have.

China and Russia have modified an important layer of the atmosphere above Europe to test a controversial technology for possible military application, according to Chinese scientists involved in the project.
A total of five experiments were carried out in June. One, on June 7, caused physical disturbance over an area as large as 126,000 sq km (49,000 square miles), or about half the size of Britain.
The modified zone, looming more than 500km (310 miles) high over Vasilsursk, a small Russian town in eastern Europe, experienced an electric spike with 10 times more negatively charged subatomic particles than surrounding regions.
In another experiment on June 12, the temperature of thin, ionised gas in high altitude increased more than 100 degrees Celsius (212 degrees Fahrenheit) because of the particle flux.
The particles, or electrons, were pumped into the sky by Sura, an atmospheric heating facility in Vasilsursk built by the former Soviet Union’s military during the cold war….

I think that NZ is the perfect place for the Cabal to go to ground.
This map shows the principles behind the currents found around New Zealand and in the Tasman Sea. The South Equatorial Current (far north of this map), which is very warm as it reaches Australia’s east coast, is bent southward by Coriolis forces and by this coast. At Australia’s easternmost point, it splits and one part veers east, deflected by Coriolis forces. The other half follows the east coast down until it meets cool water passing around Tasmania. On its way south, it meets the cold water of the West Wind Drift and a front or convergence forms because water masses of different temperature and salinity, mix with difficulty. In diagrams B and C, such a front is shown in a very simplified way. The front acts as a wall between the two currents that spiral along it at either side. The STF effectively walls the Tasman Sea in. Water entering it from the north, cannot pass this wall and has to exit somewhere east of New Zealand, passing by Stewart Island, through Cook Strait and around North Cape…. The effects these currents have on New Zealand are:
Warm currents make New Zealand’s climate at least 2ºC warmer than without.
While cooling, the warm currents evaporate moisture that provides the rains necessary for a mild, moist climate.
Nutrients well up along the convergence zones (TF and STF) and along the north-east coast of the North Island. It provides for good fishing.
Nutrients are transported from Australia towards New Zealand’s fishing grounds.
The large differences in water temperature from south to north cause highly changeable weather.
New Zealand’s climate is spared the extremes of droughts and deluges found elsewhere in the world. In fact, New Zealand is one of the few places in the world, where rain falls in every season.…
New Zealand and Australia are not glaciated. Australia was a lot drier while New Zealand had fairly decent weather during the last ice age.

Aridity caused a large area of extreme desert with drifting sand dunes to appear in central Australia. The temperate forests of the south-east were also eliminated, their place being taken by scrub (light green),woodland (darker green) and semi-desert (light red). A land bridge connected Australia and New Guinea; this was apparently covered in open grasslands (yellow) or scrub. In New Guinea, some rainforest (dark green) seems to have survived, though reduced in area. In New Zealand, forest was almost eliminated and its place taken by scrub and grasslands.
Nuclear power for water de-salinazation and you are good to go. Also salt tolerant plants would be useful for the land slowly uncovered due to the shrinking seas.

We are standing above the new Sorek desalination plant, the largest reverse-osmosis desal facility in the world, and we are staring at Israel’s salvation.
Bar-Zeev, who recently joined Israel’s Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research after completing his postdoc work at Yale University, is an expert on biofouling, which has always been an Achilles’ heel of desalination and one of the reasons it has been considered a last resort. Desal works by pushing saltwater into membranes containing microscopic pores. The water gets through, while the larger salt molecules are left behind. But microorganisms in seawater quickly colonize the membranes and block the pores, and controlling them requires periodic costly and chemical-intensive cleaning. But Bar-Zeev and colleagues developed a chemical-free system using porous lava stone to capture the microorganisms before they reach the membranes. It’s just one of many breakthroughs in membrane technology that have made desalination much more efficient….
