Dear KMAG: 20261102 ❀ Wheatie Monday ❀ Open Topic | Get Out To Vote Tomorrow!

This Stormwatch Monday Open Thread remains open – VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA/KAG/KMAG world (with KMAG being a bit of both).

And yes, it’s Monday…again.

But we WILL get through it!

We will always remember Wheatie,

Pray for Trump,

Yet have fun,

and HOLD ON when things get crazy!

We will follow the RULES of civility that Wheatie left for us:

Wheatie’s Rules:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

And while we engage in vigorous free speech, we will remember Wheatie’s advice on civility, non-violence, and site unity:

“We’re on the same side here so let’s not engage in friendly fire.”

“Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven that Wolf has created for us.”

If this site gets shut down, please remember various ways to get back in touch with the rest of the gang:

Our beloved country is STILL under DIRECT THREATS by hostile forces – notably COMMUNISTS – and they’re HERE IN AMERICA.

Daily outrage and commie phuckery still abound.

We can give in to despair…or we can be defiant and fight back in any way that we can.

Commies won’t win!

And we will keep saying COMMIES OUT until we get their FRAUD and INSANITY out of our country!

THE STUFF

I am asking for you to get out to vote tomorrow.

So, I already voted, but have a bit of an anecdote regarding my ballot.

I actually read it, read all the stuff from all the ballot propositions, looked at every (non-Democrat) candidate statement, slowly worked my way through the sample ballot, double-checked it, and transferred to my actual ballot.

Whereupon I discovered that I had voted “NO” on everything and everyone (except the wealth tax spoilers) the same way I always do.

cthulhu

Wouldn’t matter if you had one.

Y’know the “I voted” sticker like TT brought? I was offered my choice of eight.

They seemed to indicate “I voted stoned” (psychedelic); “I voted from the beach” (waves); “I voted like they told me” (like the woke Jaguar commercial); “I voted during gay sex” (extended rainbow flag); “I voted us into the abyss” (waterfall); “I voted for never-ending grift” (CA bullet train rendering); “I voted for every other country” (world cup); and “I voted for it to be over” (sunset).

I declined.

If only she had the chops to pull it off — like, maybe, Dean Martin.

She has a bright future as a wine lobbyist.

She was drunk on stage multiple times, wasn’t she?

“Hellooo Toe-ledo” wasn’t the first time.

TheseTruths

People will vote for her, when she really needs an intervention.

scott467

I have a feeling her Mom’s not voting for her…

Ballotpedia is excellent, and Si makes it even more useful.

Until this year, it has usually taken me about 2 or 3 hours of research to figure out which of the down ballot candidates are r-Cons or d-Rats, because they’re supposedly ‘non-partisan’, as if.

So I end up reading their facebook page and googling what organizations there are members of, in the effort to Clouseau my way to figuring out who the d-Rat is (and therefore, who the r-Con is).

With ballotpedia, I just drag my cursor over both names to highlight both, and then right-click and ‘search Brave’.

Sometimes Brave just does a regular search result so I click ‘ask’, other times it goes straight to the ‘ask’ response, and says which candidate is r-Con and which candidate is d-Rat.

I finished researching the entire ballot in under 10 minutes.

That’s a record by orders of magnitude, and it means I’ll be able to vote on every choice. In years past, if I can’t determine what party a candidate is (on unopposed races), or what EITHER candidate is, then I just skipped voting that race entirely.

Now I don’t have to 👍

TheseTruths

Sounds good. I didn’t use SI, but I discovered that Ballotpedia sometimes lists the names of people and organizations that endorse the candidate. A lot can be gleaned from that.

scott467

They did for mine in the statewide offices, but for the local offices, they were all listed as “non-partisan”.

Yeah. Pull my other finger.

Regarding the tragic plane crash, many of the commenters at Zero Hedge think it was pilot error. I don’t know whether any of those people have expertise, but they think the plane started icing over, at which point the pilots should have taken action to get out of the situation. They didn’t, and then they reached the point of no return.

People are blaming DEI and are saying women pilots in general do not do well in emergency situations. At one point I thought a certain person from here was making all the comments. 🤔 (Hi, Scott. 😅)

If what they’re conjecturing is true and the crash was avoidable, then it is all the more tragic. I really don’t want to be on a plane, train, ship, or other conveyance with a woman or a minority in charge because of the likelihood that those people were not held to the rigid standards that should be required for the positions. And even if they were, who’s to say what their judgment would be like in split-second emergencies?

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/dramatic-footage-shows-private-jet-crashing-palm-beach-county

This is all conjecture, but it seems like a reasonable explanation.

TheseTruths

My hat is still on.😅 I just found it interesting that most of the commenters on that site think they have it all figured out, and their conjectures are at least plausible to me, a non-expert.

Two words.

You wouldn’t believe how hard it was to find that clip, spent 15 minutes with Brave Si and another 10 scrolling through decades worth of Billy Connolly video clips on yootoob.

And when none of that worked, I just got lucky.

My friends and I watched that performance a lot when I was a kid or in college (or maybe both). I had it on VHS, taped off of HBO.

First thing I thought of when I saw your comment was Nigel Carruthers 😁

How about an escalator?

Not the ones that go up and down between floors — just the horizontal ones, the moving walkways.

Busted!

CT State Rep Anne Hughes (D) charged with larceny after allegedly stealing campaign signs belonging to her opponent

The signs were reported missing and an airtag in the sign led police straight to a property owned by Hughes

What a dumb, dishonest thing to do. I’m wondering what her defense will be if she doesn’t admit to the deed. Maybe that a staffer or supporter did it, then went to her house for a meeting, and she knew nothing about it. But that would lead to further investigations. I don’t know how she can face anyone.

How many trite, clichéd political terms can one include in a single statement?

https://x.com/chuckschumer/status/2116969707425468536

This is a despicable betrayal from Rep. Stevens.

Senate Democrats are united in our support for Abdul El-Sayed, because we know he will fight for the economic interests of working families in Michigan, unlike Mike Rogers, who is a tool of Donald Trump and billionaire donors.

If you told people during the Obama years that in the 2020s, a republican president would achieve net negative immigration and give all refugee slots to White South Africans, even the most optimistic right wingers would have called you insane

We don’t appreciate Trump enough

This is from a few days ago. I listened to what the people were saying. It’s not about the greatness of America and her founding and principles, or how they can contribute. It’s about how they can come here and have tons of advantages. One said he wants to work, but it’s for his own benefit, and I don’t see him trying to get here legally. It’s irksome to see them wanting to live off of the rest of us.

‘Everybody [is] waiting for the Democrats to win’: Another migrant caravan left southern Mexico in October and some migrants we interviewed said they hope for a Democrat victory in the midterms so the U.S. starts shifting away from Trump’s immigration policies.

Their ignorance of how our government works is also irksome. They seem to think PDJT is on the ballot and can be defeated. I can’t think of any election outcome that would change the immigration policies of this administration. Even if (forbid it!) Dems took both Houses and impeached and convicted Trump, then Vance would continue the policies.

Meanwhile, in Britain… 😎

Rupert Lowe MP:

I agree. The British establishment should apologise over slavery. To us. For allowing this pathetic, self-loathing, anti-white bullshit to drag on for so long.

The answer, to any jumped-up Caribbean or African, is this – you can piss off. End of debate.
